I've written multiple Actor AU pieces (I love reimagining the AOT characters as actors, 10/10 would recommend as a way to cope with the pain of canon 😂😭), but this is in its own separate universe and I'm planning on writing a couple more fics set in this specific universe!

I had so much fun writing it (I hope it showed haha), and that's why it's on this list as one of my favourites!

This was partially based on a dream I had, actually, which makes this more personal, and therefore, one of my favourites.

Me remembering what I dream about is a very very rare occurrence, and rarely do those dreams include fictional characters, funnily enough 😂 so it was an extra special occasion when I woke up and actually remembered the dream I had of walking on a beach with a blushy Levi whilst the sun was setting and it was all sickeningly cutesy and romantic. I wrote it down, fully intending on writing it, and never got around to it, until I saw the prompt for Levi Week Day 3, and was like... hang on, this could work 👀

Levi experiencing affection for the first time is a trope I can't get enough of, and it seems the two anons who sent me the request are the same hehehe

Fluff and softness, emotional hurt/comfort towards the end! Also this was a fic that made me realise how touch starved I myself am 🥲 I've been told that this made people quite emotional too, which is reassuring, as I was aiming for that! So yeah I'm quite proud of this one ☺️

Definitely one of my more creative premises! I genuinely don't remember how I came up with this though, but yes this role-reversal AU was very fun to write and I'm so pleased with the outcome :3

I have been an emotional mess in the days leading up to the AOT finale…! I’m just so grateful for this masterpiece of a series and how inspiring it has been for my own writing/art. Today, I wanna share an excerpt from one of my wips — one that means a lot to me, even though it has been on the back burner.

Day 2 - a reimagined Paradis

Paradise, California is no heaven. But the rural town is Eren’s birthright. That’s just the reality as a member of the Jaeger family.

Generations ago, Paradise was a farming town. A modest one with modest output. Yet, it was one in which, for generations, the crops of countless families sustained the town's economy and put food on tables across the nearby counties. Lettuce. Broccoli. Spinach. Mainly greens.

But drought hit Paradise and harmed the families’ crops, stifled production. And the stretches of once lush farmland browned in the California sun.

Levi - When You Bring Him Tea

Levi is a man of action rather than words. Through kind gestures, he showcases his love and care. But he doesn't know how much you appreciate the little things he does he does for you until you return the favor.

It's subtle at first.

You brew yourself a pot of tea, but you make enough so that he can drink some as well.

He's hard at work in his office, eyes glued to the endless stack of papers in front of him, when he's interrupted by you gently placing a cup in front of him. Just by the scent, he can tell that you've made his favorite.

The sun has set and most of the cadets have retired to their beds, but you still approach Levi with some calming herbal tea, sweetlt kissing him goodnight before you head off to sleep.

Now you ready a warm cup of tea for him whenever he crosses your mind. At times, Levi almost swears that you can read his thoughts. He'll only have to wonder for a moment if he should refill his empty cup when you walk into the room, offering him a freshly-made tea catered exactly to his liking.

You always wear a warm smile as you present the hot tea to him. Perhaps your happiness is simply infectious, but he finds himself smiling at you in return. He notes the fluttering of his heart when it's just him alone with his thoughts, and he considers the possibility that maybe he's just falling in love even more.

The thought brings a smile to his lips as he quietly sips his tea. It's then that Levi decides that he should bring you tea more often. He's curious to know what kind of expression you'll give him when he repays your kindness in full.

Armin - When You Read His Favorite Books

When you'd first expressed interest in the books he read, Armin couldn't contain his excitement. The thought of you wanting to participate in his hobbies, no matter how insignificant they might be, makes his heart swell.

Once he's finished a book, he hands it off to you, a slip of paper tucked securely inside the pages. And at the end of every week, you return his belonging along with your "review" of the contents.

He settles down for bed, eager to read what you've written for him. Your notes are filled with exclamations and drawings, as if words were not enough to express your every thought. Armin can't help but smile fondly, his thumb gently brushing over the inked letters.

He stores all of your notes in a small tin container inside his dresser, safe from the outside world. They're his precious kept secrets, only allowed to be seen by himself and you.

Because they're not just thoughts about a novel, but also love letters, messages too precious to be viewed by someone else.

Some of them have faint impressions of your lipstick you'd pressed against the parchment. Others have lines taken from the book reimagined as a poem created especially for him.

Icy glaciers found only in the Arctic...eyes so brilliant and blue...only then can one truly understand the beauty of nature...this is the world's most scenic view.

No, the prettiest sight in the world, Armin thinks, his racing heart shot through with cupid's arrow, must be you.

Eren - When You Ask If He's Okay

The burden of liberating the whole of humanity has been placed on his shoulders, and it can be too much to bear, especially for someone so young. Eren wonders sometimes if the Scouts forget that he's practically still a child. All they seem to see when they look at him is a weapon of war.

But when the ground beneath him begins to crumble, you give him a firm foundation to lean on.

You are always there to ask how he's faring, offering him your shoulder or a listening ear. You remind him that he's merely human and that it's not his responsibility to solve the world's problems, especially not on his own.

That's what you're here for: to endure life, side by side, until the very end.

A gentle squeeze from your hand calms his troubled mind, and it's then that he vows that one day he will be the one taking care of you. The love and concern that you give him now will be returned to you tenfold.

With you beside him, he has nothing to fear.

Jean - When You Know He Needs Comfort

Was it really true that some couples can read each other's minds after so much time spent together? Jean had never considered this to be true in the slightest - all until he met you.

Not a single word has to pass through his lips for you to understand when he needs you. Wordlessly, you intertwine your fingers with his, offering him a warm smile that prompts him to open his heart. The relief that washes over him after getting everything out feels like a drop of water in the desert, refreshing and soothing to his soul.

When the world has beaten him down and left him bruised, your arms are always waiting for him to run into. Your presence alone is a safe haven to him, a place that he dares to call home.

You are his comfort, his warmth, his starlight gleaming in the expansive night sky. You are his beacon of hope in the midst of the chaos. You are his assurance when all hope seems lost. You are everything he could ever wish for.

As long as your light is there to guide him, he will always find his way back to you.

My Feb/Mar was busy with a bottom erwin doujinshi anthology I participated in (I wrote a hanahaki disease rivaeru fic that also has an English version), then I was writers blocked for most of April, then I completed a 13k rough draft for chapter 4 by the end of May, and then June’s side projects allowed me to get some much needed distance from it. So now it’s actively being edited and should FINALLY be ready to go in the next week or two!! Sorry if I worried anyone by not updating but thanks for your patience <3

Crystalized Reimagined Writing Team form

Right let's talk because I've been having second thoughts about this.

Sigh. What..what do I even say. I've tried to reimagine ow to even discuss anything for this acount and i always feel like I have to rethink my words everytime cause the message could always fall flat or come out wrong. Imagination is key when it come to getting your head around an idea that feels like it's out of left field. You know I have other acounts,tickled related and so on. Not everything about me focuses on things like race. And even still this is more so about getting people to think more so than it's about a fetish. To be honest most of my tickle related ideas I LIKE TO challenge norms and reach for the stars. Whenever I see an idea I can't give my full time towards I start to either lose focus on it or become demoralized if i HAVE A realy good idea that no one is interested in. So imagine it's an idea I put aot of thought in, then I hit a writers block but people LIKE IT! except the people I find like it have apercentage majority of the lees but other target demograpgic is...small. Which wouldn't be a problem if the topic wasn't so... well I mean take a good look. POC ler's on white lees. I'll be honest with you, perhap even if I was getting more blacks than whites it would probabaly still look bad either way. I mean I guess being lee is pretty popular but Thanks for making me feel like a JackAss, I knew I was stepping into quicksand and when I felt ground beneath my feet I honestly thought hey, maybe I'm on to somethingt and this could work... but then my wirter's block hits. my enxiaty kicks in and then I look at the numbers. and then when ever I get a POC coming in, I get my hopes up. Why even bother?

No I'm not throwing in the towl though. however, I think I'm gonna stop even asking. I'll let the insporation come to me whenever it does. though I admit I do hate to let others down. However If you dont' have imagination for this sort of thing, or if this just ain't for you, then why did you come? You know what I'd..rather just be friends, be on friedly terms. But I don't realy ... expect you to emerse yourself into something this complex or challenging. because I get it, it's a challenge. I find it abit challenging my self. I HAVE an easier time imaging a world where humans are underdogs to non humanoid ticklers than I do to something like this! Infact that idea came first, and this was more of an atympt to stage something more set in reality and in maturee topics. I don't know I figured people would atleast want to explore and try to figure out the lore that could back such a scenario as this but I guess I put to much faith in the idea of people having imagination or the ability to think outside a box or break any opinion they believe in. I don't know why when I struggle with my own at timese. I guess I fuigured since I was able to see how it could work, others would to. You know...it's frustrating. you put any amout of work into something and the progress is so slow that it it ends up stagnent. You put your work into something ambitious but the moment you began to question the point of why your even doing this, you sort of just feel like you waisted all that time. Sure you saw the potnential and you should never just give up due to nay sayers or critics. But not those guys causei hardly evene hear from them. No it's the idea that in the end , will people even get why I even did this at all? Or will it al fly over their head?

I guess what I should say right now is...I'm emotionaly confused right now. I'm torn between an ambitous vission, my other visions, what my target demographic for this even is and what I got instead.

My after thoughts is this. This is a topic worth tackling and most certainly potential for world building and kinky fun. However it's ambitous and if your hoping your gonna have an RP with someone on this sort of gimmick...I'm sorry.But no one has that kind of imagination for it. I mean people got imagination for tickling, tickle torture, sadism, masichims from what I've seen. But let's get real. No Black, asian or other wise is interested in this. ok maybe that's not fair I've met some sure... but the reality is people are either to buisy , or don't RP, or CAN'T EVEN FIND YOU. I waited paciantly, hoping people might be interested... I got some and tried some things out. I got to be a lee. I think I found myself getting more well told stories out though being the ler for white lees! I'm basicly carrying the story. Oh sure I'm used to narrating in other tickle rp types too but I still found many others where I and the other person can contribte alot to the RP and it feels like a story is unfolding. I came close thinking I finaly found someone who could help me do that with the Giggle Milkee idea. Who ws I kidding. Not only was the sotry more set up by me but they wound up not even apreciating it. they straight up jump scared me with a sudden mood swing! realy?! A mood swing?! Listen.. if your Black or Asian or any other Grabber cannidate, I'm not discouraging you from trying. I mean there are plenty white lees out there. You can try all you like, but as for me..I DON'T EVEN know. Send me a message if your even interested...however my reception might be differant for now on than what it would have been in the past. For now on. if you don't got imagination, I won't waist any time with you. Same goes for the Gigmigs, though they've been more interested I still find some that either gone missing or are lacking. Maybe I'm just sore right now...like I SAID. i'M EMOTIONAly condused. more like distraught,aggervated, not wanting to give up, not wanting to keep going. I'm torn is what I'm saying. and I needed to vent. I'm not sure about where I'm gonna go with this in the future. But If I see another Grabber...I'm not getting my hopes up... I just won't. Empress!Mikasa Azumabito Ackerman Headcanon

The moment she returns to Hizuru, the Azumabito elders tabled the proof of her bloodline as the last living legitimate descendant of the country's ancient shogunate. With a majority of the vote, Mikasa will ascend the imperial throne of Hizuru as the closest heir through the military power held by her ancestors and marriage of her great ancestor to the last Emperor, who did not have any surviving lineage.

Mikasa revived a monarch that had been obsolete for almost a century, while retaining the support of the nation's democratic parliament.

Within a week, an enthronement ceremony was held in the imperial court for the new empress' coronation. In the ceremony, Mikasa wore a beautiful 100 year old Jūnihitoe, a 12-layer formal kimono, that had been worn by the last Empress, who was also the daughter of an Azumabito daimyo.

Her official royal name is "Her Imperial Highness, Empress Mikasa of Azumabito." All her future desecendants carry the Ackerman-Azumabito name.

Her mon or formal royal crest would be the three sacred blades of the Azumabito clan.

Heralded as the People's Princess, Mikasa won the hearts of her people naturally, as a strong bladesman and an honorable Warrior with a compassionate heart. It took her almost a year to adjust and learn the political ropes of the throne but in time, she's proven that she is a headstrong ruler, an unconventional royal who's independent, fearless and never hesitated to step up or step down to the grassroots level as an effort to understand and take action for her people better.

More than just a beautiful placeholder in a powerful position due to her birth, Mikasa gained authority and respect from the people of Hizuru as an experienced battlezone frontliner with titan-slaying experiences that vouched highly of her credibility.

The allies of the Azumabito clan of prominent families descended from legendary bloodlines during the Sengoku era, all swore fealty and loyalty to this new empress.

The moment the news of her enthronement was released by international press, Hizuru's enemies acknowledged that the half-blooded royal of the rare Ackerman family from Paradis is not someone they'd like to trifle or cross with. They propose a permanent truce through a united alliance as they'd rather not be on the receiving end of the new empress' battle prowess.

Mikasa is not only the first monarch to rule by herself, but she's also the first ruler to appoint the first woman minister and first woman military leader in her court. Inspired by her previous Commander, Hange, Mikasa advocates female empowerment during her reign.

This woman would also (unintentionally) has a strong cult following from the women of her age range, as she becomes a trendsetter in not only character, but also in style. Mikasa would be a royal fashion icon that inspires even the western world with her androgynous look, pixie-style haircut and pantsuits.

She inspired women to be strong and brave and abolish the gender-defined traditional expectations within society. Her strength of character and heart couldn't be more obvious through the way she walk, the way she carries herself and the way she talk to all the children, women and men.

Mikasa would be the first female leader to grace the cover of the world's first magazine print series featuring influential people all around the world. This New Age Empress is lauded as the lost Oriental Gem who was born in Paradis but soaring high with Hizuru's global sovereign.

AOT HEAD-CANONS - SHOWER ROUTINE

Ever wonder what AOT characters do in the shower? 🤔 well I did, so here is the result.. ! CURRENTLY CHECKING FOR MISTAKES SO IM SORRY IN ADVANCE

Eren: Eren is an efficient, 18 in 1 kind of showerer. Often he’ll will crank the water super hot just to see if he can handle it, he always replays interactions in his head. He enjoys the warmth of the room after the shower is turned off, and he likes to strategize and think while he’s alone

Armin: Armin doesn’t like to linger in the shower, and before he gets out he grabs the towel and dries himself off before he looks at himself in the mirror. He doesn’t love his body and will try to avoid facing it in most circumstances. He’s gotten in a habit of combing his hair down so that it dries nicely and he always uses a little bit of moisturizer on his face

Mikasa: Mikasa strictly uses scentless soaps and usually showers with lukewarm to cold water depending on the season. She loves to exfoliate, and she doesn’t use conditioner for her hair. It makes it oiler faster. She’ll pat her hair down first, then the rest of her body. She wraps her towel around her hips, instead of around her chest becuase she know it’ll just slip down.

Jean: Jean is equipped with a series of uber-masculine inspired soaps like “epic sport” and “cool man” gifted from his mom and he takes pride in his routine. He takes pretty long showers, and likes to replay heated scenarios in his mind, reimagining what he said. Somedays he gets really distracted and rubs one out because why not? He is pretty clean shaven for the most part, regularly shaving his legs and armpits, especially in the summer.

Connie: Connie gets really into his head in the shower. Sometimes he’ll shower multiple times a day just because he needs to stew on something. He faces the shower, and lets water run down his face for minutes at a time. All before he gets a glimpse of Levi telling him off and he goes on with washing his body and hair. Connie thinks rundown water is sufficient for cleaning your legs, Jean reminds him it’s not.

Sasha: Sasha loves showering and it’s her favourite part of the day because usually it means she just ate, and it’s the end of the day. She likes sweet scented soaps, her shampoo and conditioner being vanilla scented. And she doesn’t really care about shaving but sometimes will just for the sake of it. When she gets out she loves doing a full body moisturizing session and lathering her face with moisturizers.

Reiner: Reiner is a pretty swift showerer, he first shampoos his hair and then he wraps a bar of soap with a cloth and scrubs himself clean. But there are days where he just crouches at bottom of the shower, his back pressed up against the cold wall and letting hot water come down on him. He closes his eyes, feeling the muscles in his thighs work to keep him up. When he gets out, he tries to moisturize his face and his arms and hands. He hates the scaly feeling of the back of his hands, and Reiner never waits for his body to be dry before putting his new clothes on

Levi: Levi has habit of checking the shower before turning on the water, just making sure that it’s clean and that no one used his soap. Like mikasa, he only uses unscented. Sometimes when he’s having an especially difficult day he lets his head rest on the shower wall, letting the water fall down his back. He uses a cloth and exfoliates every inch of himself, beginning from his shoulders, all the way down to his feet, in the same order, every day. Levi uses a tiny bit of gel in his hair as it dries.

Historia: Historia loves the peace and quiet her showers. She tries to turn off her brain and just be in the moment. Historia uses just a very small amount of shampoo and conditioner becuase her hair is very fine and she doesn’t want it to break. She loves floral scents and when she gets out she likes to dab a little perfume on before her carries on with her routine. Historia takes great caution to make sure she’s quick though, and doesn’t like to hog the water for long.

Porco: Porco has full blown conversations with himself in the shower and is notorious for taking long showers. He is a serial shower mausterbater, and uses a 1 in 3s but think it’s good enough because he uses a lot of product. He likes minty products. When he gets out of the shower, he’ll wrap his towel super low on his hips and take a point of walking to his room to get his clothes, instead of just bringing it with him. He’s a bit of a show off.

Casually mulling over an AU that’s like a total reimagining of AOT because I am Like That TM

Eldia was an island nation (I am taking HUGE inspiration from Atlantis because that’s been an obsession since I was young) that was brutalized by war via the Marleyans. Centuries later, Ymir is born. She’s a normal slave girl, born of slaves and destined to remain a slave.

Eventually she gains the power of the Titans and actually falls in love with SOMEONE WHO IS NOT AN ABUSER (all my homies hate King Fritz) and has her three daughters Maria, Rose and Sina. Ymir wages war against Marley, which is the dominant global power of the time, and wins back her people’s freedom and returns to her devastated island home to reestablish her lands.

There’s no Curse of Ymir, so Ymir lives to a ripe old age when she eventually passes and passes her Titan powers to her daughters, causing the split in Titan powers. Eventually, enough time passes that Ymir and her brethren are viewed more as gods and are venerated as such. Ymir, her three daughters, and then the original of the 9 Titan Shifters.

This new Eldia has isolated itself from the rest of the world somewhat, with it’s Titans and army of Colossal Titans (which really need a new name because it’s confusing since there’s A Colossal Titan but there also Are Clossal Titans whatever) but they do trade with nations that are more interested in having Eldia as an ally against Marley

This is ALL inspired from playing Territory Recovery Mode in AOT 2 can you believe it LOL

But I also have the idea too, since TRM has battles against Titans and such, maybe Marley figured out how to make pure Titans and what the game classified as “bizarre titans” (reusing Annie, Reiner, Ymir and Zeke’s Titan form models) is Marley like. Figuring out how to copy the powers of the Titan Shifters but they’re pure Titans so they’re not quite there yet tho.

And these battles taking place off Paradis Island so no one is living trapped behind Walls. But I also like the idea of writing fic and doing art like art AFTER finally beating Marley and Eldia is just existing in their island continent, living on Paradis Island and just trading with those that want to and calling it at that.

And I'm so grateful that it inspired me to return to one of my first loves: writing. At times, I felt like a machine when it came to my fics (and that was unintentional). But I love how AOT has inspired me and given me an amazing community of people who I can gush with and gush about and create many, many beautiful things. There are still so many AOT stories that are in my head and in my heart, and I'm excited to share those in due time.

Day 10 - a retrospective on an ending...

When everything begins to end, it does so just like a dying star: blindingly brilliant and deceptively beautiful; magnetic and explosive, in all its destructive glory.

My very first fic for AOT was "junctures," a modern reimagining of eremika's relationship told from an adolescent Mikasa's perspective. It was very lyrical, very nostalgic — all childhood crushes and first kisses and first times and mourning lost first loves. It's definitely not my most polished work: I remember writing it in almost manic bursts in my home-office-in-my-closet, super late at night during an aggravatingly stressful time at work. But the things I love most about this are: (1) the passages like the one above and (2) the fact that this fic marked the first time in over a decade that I wrote not only for myself but also to share my work with others.

Okay so, I'm an Asian Jew married to a Japanese national, and we're going to be moving to and I'll be teaching in Japan whenever we can. I wouldn't call AoT/SNK outright propaganda but that doesn't mean Isayama's political beliefs don't end up in his work. And a lot of Japanese youth aren't seeing it for what it is because they're not being taught how bad Japanese imperialism was and is. And even my husband has said before that, while Japanese media has a weird desire to reimagine and reuse WW2 era imagery in general, AoT takes those reimaginings and allegories much further. Westerners have even less knowledge about WW2 and Japanese imperialism.

I wouldn't hold Hetalia to the same standards, but its fandoms, especially its Western fandom, is very insensitive, at the very least, and it's not a coincidence.

Not to mention there's been a global rise in neo-Nazism and nationalism these last few years. That's not any particular media's fault, but when you have this rhetoric going around and you have people learning the very basics of "bigots bad", they don't actually pick on any real symbolism and end up recreating that rhetoric themselves anyway, never you mind if your favorite character is someone who "protects their homeland".

I'm very firmly if the mind that, no matter what content you consume, it is not a good indication of your moral compass. But when you deflect actual criticisms such as "this person is an imperialist and you can see his beliefs cropping up here and here", there's a bigger problem than just "you like the 'wrong' thing".

And it's usually Western fans who get uppity about it. I do not have the same issues talking about this sort of thing with Japanese or SE Asian fans.

What's this? Just a little nothing I did tonight to test out my new tablet! In celebration of Sasuke's birthday earlier this week I did my OT3 SasuNaruSaku. It's really small, since l haven't figured out how to crop pictures probably yet xD

Some shower thoughts on Mikasa Ackerman behind the cut:

I saw that a lot of (Mikasa) fans are disappointed in the way the story concluded for Mikasa, that she had no real development and overall deserved better. I kinda agree on the last point, of course she deserved better, don’t we all? But life just sometimes isn’t fair and you loose your soulmate at the age of 19. What I really hate is that people are blaming her for being on her loved ones grave on the anniversary of his death. I don’t know if those people have ever lost somebody dear to them and everyone grieves differently and nobody is to judge that. But being on the grave of your loved one on their death anniversary, their birthday and other important days is the most natural thing in the world for me. We sadly don’t get an insight on what Mikasa is doing with her time now. I’m not sad that she went back to Paradis to live whatever life she’s leading there. Who knows? She probably has some sense in her life other than grieving Eren all day. Maybe she‘s helping Historia with the orphanage? There probably are a lot of new orphans after the rumblings and the connected riots. And who knows, I mean Armin, Jean and the others are coming back to Paradis now. What I see for a good sign is, that she grew her hair out. It was Eren who told her to cut it and so she did when she probably preferred it long. Don’t you think she looks painfully much like the woman in Jean’s vision? Who knows, that might be her future once her comrades come back to the island. I can very well see Jean (who gussied himself up on the boat, I mean come on, he’s not really doing it for those school girls, is he?!) meeting Mikasa after three years and again complimenting her on her hair like he did back when they were trainees. Will Mikasa ever truly get over Eren? Probably not but it’s just like that sometimes when you loose someone. Some people never get over their one true love but it didn’t work out with them and they still manage to start a new life with somebody else, love them and dedicate their hearts to them. Why not Mikasa? We will never know because Isayama choose not to show us Mikasa meeting her mates again three years later. You can make of this ending whatever you want. But you shouldn’t be so negative and accuse Mikasa (and in return Isayama) to have no development and be sad about her. I think Mikasa was one of Isayama’s favorite characters (I read so somewhere) so do you really think he would give her a sad ending? I don’t think so. Mikasa’s happy ending is there somewhere in the future. I’ll be in whatever way she imagines her life since she’s a strong and independent woman. But three years after loosing your most beloved person is not that much. She has the right to still grieve. But she’ll stand up and look into a bright future that Eren has created for her and I think that’s beautiful.

WCIF?

I've found a copy of this reeeeally detailed Sim Tracker in my google docs last night. It's like really detailed and calculates everything you can think about (and more) and even gives you such cool graphics at the end. Of course I had to do this for Planet Alades (I love shreasheets, bear with me) but now I can't remember where I got that doc from? It was already a copy of the original, so it doesn't show me the OP. The file is called Sim Tracker v1.8 - Blank. I wish I knew who was so detailed to do this spreadsheet and if there are some explanations for some functions (it's really a lot, guys!). Does anyone remember a thing liks this? I could add pics if someone wanted.
