Fuck I had like no expectations but Tbhk S2 EP 1 surprised me and omg I'm so so so so so happy with how everything turned out

The whole introduction scene was amazing, the music truly created an incredible atmosphere and the way everything was put together worked amazingly!

another hc is that he commonly listens to jazz or classical music, and when he plays it out loud while both of you are cleaning you two would end up dancing : )

for dates, he prefers them the typical way. a romantic dinner, a walk on the dock at night, etc. despite it being generic, he'll always enjoy any second he spends with his significant other.

if the two of you go shopping, he becomes very strict and acts like your babysitter TT he wouldn't allow any things that aren't planned to be bought. althoouugh,, if you bat your eyelashes at him, tilt your head, and ask in the most polite way, he reluctantly allow to let you buy something.

it was 8:57 pm, and the sound of water running and dishes clashing were the only thing to be heard at the moment. you and akane had just finished eating dinner and you offered to do the dishes considering he already ran the rest of the errands earlier.

until, akane caught you off guard by wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head on your shoulder. it was uncommon for akane to do this, yet it still continues to surprise you. "kane, im doing the dishes, you can hug me later." you giggle out yet he just tightens his hold around you.

"but i want to hug you now." akane said nonchalantly. accepting it, you continue with the dishes while your beloved was embracing you.

despite the fact that she's popular and whatnot, i feel she'd prefer a secluded and comforting life

for dates, i feel like she'd enjoy on of those craft studios, specifically pottery making! even though its quite cliché, she likes it when you're behind her, helping her through the pottery process too >< oh and she'd definitely love dates to the zoo aswell !! especially if she's with you,she likes admiring the animals : )

she's kinda lenient with letting you put whatever you want in the shopping cart when you two are going grocery shopping, but she's the type to secretly put them back too 😭

"well, for this date, i'd like to treat you to!" aoi beamed. "how about some ice cream? what flavor do you want?" she continued to ask despite you really insisting its fine. but, you faltered against her, seeing her focused face makes youe heart melt and you eventually let her treat you.

"thank you for the ice cream too, aoi" you said, while the both of you continued chatting with your ice creams.

he'd be clingy, super clingy. if he comes home exhausted from exorcist work, he'd only want to have you in his embrace and won't let you go until for a few hours.

he'd be super romantic when it comes to dates. literally giving you a bouquet full of roses and asking you out for dinner. with the tuxedo suit too.

grocery shopping with him is a 50/50. most of the times you get what you need and only that. but the other half, you two end up getting unnecessary things TT

a loud bang could be heard from the kitchen, it was early in the morning and you noticed your lover out of bed. you could have only guessed what happened. you immediately got out of bed and headed to your shared kitchen, seeing your husband's focused and beautiful face on.. charred eggs?

"ah, [name] you're finally awake!" teru said, his eyes lighting up once he saw you. "i made you breakfast, do you want some?" he asked as you stepped forward to him, taking a look at his work. it was, unidentifiable? you guessed that the beige colored whatever the shape was pancakes..? the look on his face and the food he made was really contradictory.

despite that, you offered to cook breakfast instead. even if your husband can't cook, that doesn't take away from the fact you love him.

I personally really dislike this ship since it came out of nowhere and it feels incredibly forced. Their designs and personalities don't complement each other that well. They seem more like good friends to me.

If we got more of them, it would've made sense.

But I do like the characters separately! The ship just isn't for me!

Zenitsu and Nezuko COULD have been a good ship but it's not very well done and again, their personalities just don't match. Zenitsu's writing is already rather terrible when it comes to the screaming and yelling (though he has very good morals, great character concept ect.) and the yelling/being perverted is what ruins the relationship.

We also don't see a lot of Nezuko in the first place and she isn't aware of Zenitsu's feelings since she's a demon, so the ship just feels strange and uncomfortable to me.

I also just don't like the ship.

I cannot stress this enough but their personalities do NOT match (what I mean by this, they are not the right people to balance each other out).

Doesn't help they deadass look like siblings.

Inosuke should've gotten a girl that had Tanjiro's personality, it would've worked better.

Aoi and Inosuke have borderline no meaningful interactions. Aithor just sloppily meshed them together.

I think the ship works rather well; the girls each have their own separate personalities but I do feel like Hinatsuru is the only one who compliments Uzui's personality well but Makio and Suma are also good!

I think you can tell Uzui cares for them but it's not my favourite ship.

My friend James thinks Makio and Suma are annoying. Hinatsuru is "good" though.

Creepy since Sanemi sees his MOTHER in Kane (the way Inosuke sees his mother in Shinobu/Nezuko).

Barely knew each other; Kanae died a few weeks after knowing Sanemi.

Definitely one-sided (Shinobu adopts Kanae's habits ect. Meaning how Shinobu acts is a reflection of how Kanae would've acted and Shinobu seems to not be all that fond of Sanemi, meaning Kanae probably respected Sanemi but didn't particularly like him.)

I also feel like Giyuu doesn't need someone who jabs at his insecurities ("You really shouldn't be a Hashira, Tomioka-san!" she says to the man who obviously has issues about his place in the Corps.)

Shinobu's teasing nature doesn't match all that well with Giyuu in my opinion, even if she means it lightheartedly.

I feel like people slander it too much — the interactions the two have later on in the story give reason for people to ship it.

But I feel like whilst Sanemi fits Giyuu, Giyuu doesn't fit Sanemi. Like, what I mean is, I think Sanemi's nature matches Sabito's towards Giyuu, especially later on in the story, but I feel like Sanemi needs someone that isn't Giyuu.

I personally don't ship it because I feel like Giyuu's writing isn't all that delved into.

I love these two platonically though —Sanemi's parallels with Sabito will always keep me in a firm chokehold.

I'm fond of them since they remind me of todobaku but I personally don't ship sanegiyuu.

One is the medivial au, where Amane Is a poet, yashiro a future guard and kou a prince. It nothing more than kou's first friends being a bunch of commoners. It's just a cute thing <3

Another one that I've never developed on is an akane no.1 so like practically Kane is the only clock keeper yes I know I'm boring, and he's not very good at modern Japanese so when Teri meets him instead of exorcising him he teaches kane how to speak 🥲. Bt akane didint have a name so Teri gave it so him. You know the biggest misinformation Mika haters peddle about Ginoza is he hates her which is objectively,canonically false.Trust me if he hated her he wouldn’t open up about Kougami to her of all people.(That Citizen Kane convo was just chef’s kiss)..He wouldn’t deduct about Mika giving away Aoi Tsunemori’s location and keep it to himself..He wouldn’t try to change her perception about latent criminals by asking her what kind of crimes she thinks Yayoi might commit..There’s this manga extra where Mika was calling him to talk about a transaction with Frederica but even after the conversation was finished he just happily excused himself to talk to her in private(I think you’d be a hotpot boss too🥹).It’s so clear that she looks to him for guidance/comfort and he’s more than willing to provide that.She keeps calling him because she’d rather not talk to that horrible blonde and he keeps answering her when he doesn’t have to.My favourite part is his shit eating grin whenever he sees Mika..Like it’s so endearing..I don’t you can watch/read all that and just say it with confidence that Ginoza hates her.He so obviously likes her..

Yes, yes, YES to all of this. If you’ve made it through PP3 and *still* think Ginoza hates Mika, then I have to believe you lack even the most basic form of media comprehension. Even in PP2, it’s clear he admires her confidence, conviction, and drive, although he doesn’t always think she’s using them correctly. Which is one of the reasons he takes such a vested interest in her — he likes her and doesn’t want to see her go down the same dark path he did. She can be a better version of him. And that’s just in PP2! By the time we get to Sinners of the System and PP3, it’s so obvious he finds her amusing and enjoys being around her. I know I mentioned this in a previous post, but Mika is the only person we ever see Ginoza tease or joke around with. Even if you don’t view their relationship as romantic, you can’t deny that there’s an unspoken fondness on both sides. They make a good team and genuinely care about each other.

Love that you mentioned the Citizen Kane scene from the novel, because it’s such a great example of Ginoza confiding in Mika — something we see him do several times throughout the series. If he didn’t like her, why would he talk to her about Kougami, or confess how guilty he still feels over his father’s death, or admit to the mistakes he himself made as an Inspector? Clearly, he feels safe with her. He doesn’t even talk to Akane about this stuff, and I think the reason why is pretty simple — after his demotion from Inspector to Enforcer, he placed her on a moral pedestal that makes her impossible to relate to, despite his devotion to her and her cause. But Mika, he can relate to. Mika, he can understand. She’s someone who reminds him of the person he used to be, someone he can trust and confide in, and that’s so important.

At this point, I’m convinced Mika haters are just ignoring canon because they can’t stand the fact that Ginoza actually likes her a lot.

after some time fighting against it, the supernatural was finally defeated. although, the scars on akane's body was still there and hurting.

and that's why, he was in the infirmary getting bandaged up by his lover, you.

he slightly winced when you put disinfectant on his scars, you took notice. "o-oh, did i hurt you?" you questions while he nodded a 'no'.

you furrowed your brows, eyeing his injuries while still being gentle while bandaging. while lost in thought, akane noticed your expression.

"i'll be more careful next time. you don't have to worry all the time, i promise." the male said facing away from you, instead staring at the window. "yes but.. i just want you to be safe 'kane" you sighed, finally done with the bandages.

"you really are a special person to me, and i just don't want to lose it. i just.. really worry for your wellbeing." you stated looking out the window he was staring at aswell.

finally, he looks at you and the sad look in your eyes.
