GIVING NICK NAMES WITH AO’NUNG PLS IM BEGGING

prompt #23 - giving them nicknames
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/438e08ab3f4157aa4fbec3e3ac255790/58b4ad8d6ad2391c-63/s540x810/5b1be065a742a4e44eb5398b62fffdf12a923a3f.jpg)
giving ao’nung nicknames is so fun. yeah, he acts so cocky especially when he succeeds on making you feel flustered with his flirting on you. the way your face heats up when he brings you new necklaces or headpieces that matched him so it no other metkayina could every try to flirt with you.
but one thing that gets him flustered so easily is the creative nicknames you come up every single day.
the first few ones were the cheesy endearing names such as:
paskalin (sweet berry)
tiyawn (love)
sayrip (handsome)
muntxatan (husband)
syulang (flower
oare (moon)
the list is endless and it never failed to make him turn dark blue as his white freckles shined brightly.
but what always catches him off-guard is when you start calling him pet names in english (thanks to jake sully for teaching them to you). his face would flare up and you could practically see steam leaving his ears as he flattened them against his head. ao’nung would always ask what they meant but not without a little tantrum on telling you to not say them in english because he doesn’t understand them.
the ones that would always make his heart stop were:
sweetheart
kitten
cutie
honey
darling
although jake had told you that they were basic terms of endearment, ao’nung thought otherwise. they were new, out of his world (literally), and just thought that they were so unique. please continue calling him darling. it makes him weak in the knees and would bend in half just for you.

MIGHTY
Neteyam x Metkayina!Reader
Summary: The tulkun have returned to Awa’atlu, it was time to introduce the most important people in her life to one another Warnings: N/A Word count: 1.4k
Taglist: @itsyoboysparkel @dumb-fawkin-bitch @drinking-tea-and-be-obsessed @fanboyluvr @mooniequeen @berrybluez @avtprint @theesexystallion @annaleesworld @blueberryfailureclinic @eywas-heir
“Look! It is my spirit sister!” ___ pointed at the tulkun who popped her head out of the water, squealing in greeting. The girl grinned wide and hopped off the ilu, diving down into the waters to see her, leaving the forest Na’vi behind in her haste.
“___, it has been too long” the tulkun clicked at her, swimming closer towards the girl. The creature took notice of the boy who swam nearby behind her, one that looked much different compared to the Metkayina. “Who is this?” she asked curiously, eying the stranger.
“This is Neteyam. He is of the Omaticaya clan, in the forest” ___ signed to her sister, turning around to wave the mentioned boy over and holding her hand out. Neteyam swam over and grabbed onto it, using it to propel himself next to her, he looked at the tulkun and smiled, never having seen something so amazing.
“Hello Neteyam of the forest clan” the creatures high pitched noises made the Omaticayan’s ear twitch, not used to the sounds, he was also slightly confused with what she was saying.
“Lafey says hello” ___ translated for Neteyam who nodded, using his fingers to sign back a hello and an apology for not being able to properly communicate. ___ grinned at him “you will learn”, she then went closer to the tulkun, dragging Neteyam with her and holding onto Lafey’s large fin “let us swim together!”
The creature moved her tail and they glided across the waters, admiring the view of the Metkayina reconnecting with their brothers and sisters. Tulkuns introducing their newly bred calfs and the Na’vi doing the same, she saw her mother, Ronal, signing to her own spirit sister, catching the words “my child is strong”
Neteyam has never seen anything more amazing, his clan from the forest never really connected to sentient beings like this, sure they had their ikran. But the tulkun were not banshees. He spotted his sisters with Rotxo, holding onto his spirit brothers fin and swimming through the waters. Large grins on their faces as they glided, having fun.
A tap on his shoulder distracted him, ___ motioned to her brother Ao’nung who swam up to them on his ilu, bringing his hand to his forehead to motion ‘I see you’ to Lafey. “Come swim with me forest boy, let me show you more of the waters” Neteyam glanced at the boy, then towards the girl next to him asking for permission.
“Go with him” she smiled, ushering him over. She’ll spend more time with Lafey and hopefully find her sister Tsireya.
“Thank you” Neteyam kissed her on the cheek and clicked for an ilu, he connected tsaheylu and swam up to Ao’nung who spun around Rotxo, Kiri and Tuktirey.
“So…the boy? You like him” Lafey squealed, once again kicking her large tail and propelling them through the currents. ___ flushed and hid her face, hands gripping onto the fin.
“I do not know what you mean Lafey” she signed with one hand, watching as they came to a stop by Tsireya who danced with another tulkun, seeing the shadow of another Omaticayan boy at the surface, watching them.
“You know exactly what I mean” the tulkun rolled her eyes and watched as ___ moved to go in front of her, Tsireya taking notice and swimming towards them, grasping her older sisters hand.
“___! And Lafey, I see you” Tsireya signed in greeting, waving at the tulkun who chirped. “We were just dancing, come join us!” she dragged the girl towards the centre of the reef where there was space to spin, grinning when she heard the sweet songs of the creatures around them.
Eclipse covered the island with bioluminescence, the Na’vi rejoiced as they celebrated the tulkun’s return on the beach. Drinks were served and the people danced around the large fires, some decided to stick to the waters where their brothers and sisters resided.
Neteyam waltzed up to his crush, handing her a cup of bitter liquid “your spirit sister is kind, thank you for introducing me” he sipped on his drink, watching as the light of the fires illuminated her teal skin.
“It was no problem, she likes you, Lafey” the Metkayina looked of into the reef, watching the shadows of the creatures dance in the waters. “I am happy she is back, it has been so long since we last saw one another”
“You do not see them often?”
“Kehe, they travel during the seasons, so we celebrate when they arrive back to us” Neteyam nodded, understanding. His eyes drifted to see Lo’ak getting dragged by Tsireya to the fires and an idea formed in his head.
“Dance with me” he took her drink from her hand and placed it on one of the protruding rocks, watching ___ as her face turned a little purple, he grinned. “Za’u”
___ found herself in front of the fires where the other Na’vi moved about to the tulkun’s song, quickly finding a rhythm she moved her body, twisting and turning around the heap of flames. She found herself laughing when Neteyam stumbled a bit, he excelled in a lot of things, dancing was not one of them.
This time it was the girl who found herself taking his hand, saving him from his misery and bringing him closer to the shoreline. “That was fun, warrior. But I thought you told me you were the best at everything? Hm?” she poked his stomach, smiling at his sheeting expression.
“Did I mention that I was not a dancer?” he followed ___ when she dipped into the ocean, the waters glowing around her.
“You did not have to, it was obvious” she teased and watched as Neteyam swam ahead of her, already knowing she wanted to see Lafey. They both dived under and got closer, watching as the Tulkun turned and twisted, obviously having a party for themselves.
“Lafey” ___ greeted the creature who stopped her singing, coming closer to the two. “We wanted to join you for a while, the festivities will not stop until morning”
Lafey shook her head up and down, agreeing “did you dance? I saw you two together” she clicked, eyes squinting with mirth.
Neteyam looked between the two and caught onto the fact that ___ looked bashful, blue eyes darting to him and quickly turning away when she caught him staring. “Lafey, you are embarrassing me”
“What did she say?”
“She is teasing us, for dancing” Neteyam grinned and pushed her slightly, if he could laugh he would. “Come, let us go up” the two Na’vi climbed onto ___’s spirit sister, sitting on her fin as they breached the surface of the water.
“You do not have to be embarrassed, ___. I enjoy dancing with you…even if i am not good at it” Neteyam grabbed her smaller hand, squeezing it and pulling it to rest on his lap. ___ looked into his eyes and giggled, remembering his funny moves as wobbly legs.
The Metkayina leaned her head on his shoulder, eyes going towards her people, the sounds of pure joy making her eyes crinkle. “I am happy, that you have met Lafey, and she you” the animal mentioned squealed in agreement.
“I am also happy, that I have met her..and you” this grabbed the girls attention, head coming off his shoulder to stare into his eyes. “I miss my home, the forest. But if we have not left then I would not have gotten to meet you. ___, thank you for welcoming my family, for treating us well”
___ flushed a dark purple, not expecting this heartfelt speech. “It is no problem, I am happy that your family has adjusted here okay, I am also happy to have met you too”
Neteyam shook his head “you are truly mighty, strong heart. Irayo” he leaned in and pecked her lips, smiling shyly when his yellow eyes caught her dumbfounded blue. Quickly ___ leaned in and gave him a longer kiss, heart beating erratically in her chest. “Let me take you to this spot I have found earlier in the week, it could be our place, for just me and you”
“I would love that Neteyam”
Just above the surface, Lafey’s eyes stared at them, happy that her sister has found someone to love her, she was also a little smug, “so you do like him?”
“Lafey!”

The archer.
a soulmate.
can be platonic.
can be romantic.
can be hateful.
What if it was all of the above?
————————————————————————————————————
Y/n Te Suli Neytiri'ite.
“She is too much like her mother” Her father said to himself as he took apart his gun for maintenance. “Her and the bow…Eytukan would be proud.” He also added while putting the parts of his gun back in the chest.
A girl loved by her people, her and her twin, Neteyam were the stars. His courage and kindled spirit, and her nonchalant and violent one. The two held respect for others, the life and their family.
She had the beautiful ability of archery, being one of the best in the clan. She was just…different.
Her world would be turned upside down when they leave the forest. And when she meets a boy, whom hates her and her family.
Her mother speaks of soulmates, another spirit who was graced by Eywa will come into her life. The story of old goes; ‘Eywa had once saw two spirits of kind, and thought in one they’d be to powerful but in two they balance.’
Neytiri would tell her, and she’d just ignore it.
But she can’t ignore the feeling in her chest when she meets a certain fish boy.

Swimming Lesson (A Precious One Shot)
Pairing: Adult Ao'nung x Hyperfeminine human reader
Summary: Ao'nung is more than eager to teach you how to swim. He doesn't, however, anticipate what it leads to.
Warnings: aged up characters, explicit sexual content MDNI, reader has mild fear of water, interspecies relationship, established relationship, swearing, possessive beahvior, brief mention of violence, past bad relationship, insecurity, marking, scenting, dom/sub dynamics, etc.
A/N: I've been overthinkg this one for way too long. Here's how it turned out
Precious Masterlist
Adult Ao'nung photo by Cinetrix
Tawtute modesty is a perplexing concept. Most Sky People dress in a way that covers their body, even going as far as creating cubbies in their metal homes where they can change these clothes without others seeing. For a species that appears to have just as much sexual drive as Na’vi do, they certainly waste a lot of time and effort acting ashamed of their bodies.
Although your clothing is far more appealing, and even revealing at times, you too act very shy about being exposed.
And yet, it appears that this cultural norm is thrown out the window when it comes to swimming attire. Calling an outfit a swimsuit as you do, suddenly gives a tawtute a free pass to discard ninety five percent of their clothing and prance around without care.
No one had informed Ao’nung of this however so when you walk out in your handmade swimsuit for the first time, it takes him a moment to connect his mouth to his brain again. You give a little twirl as you always do, before rambling on about what material it’s made of and how easy or difficult it was to construct.
And as usual, Ao’nung takes his time admiring your latest work with greedy hands that always come out to grip your hips and spin you from side to side. This is a common routine for the two of you. It is customary for him to see your latest projects first so you can receive his opinion. Although both of you know he offers nothing close to helpful feedback. The real joy from this arrangement comes from him opening ogling you in the pretty clothes until you sufficiently feel confident in your genius.
You never stop him when he gets handsy either. Although that pretty blush often spreads from your cheeks to collarbones and you giggle at his lack of restraint, he knows you enjoy the obvious display of carnal desire. It’s a win-win scenario.
And today, stars above, there is so much for him to look at. Or rather, so little fabric to cover your form because this swimsuit as you call it is tiny. In many ways it feels a lot closer to the usual attire of females in his clan with intricate straps and only a tiny top and bottom to shield some of his favorite parts. In fact, this set is much like your bra and panties combo.
When he squeezes your hips and turns you to the side, he is more than ecstatic to find that this duo is actually more revealing than most of your undergarments. Is this truly considered decent in tawtute culture? Oh well, he knows better than to question when something good comes his way. Whatever reasoning sky people have come up with to justify these tiny outfits, he is grateful for.
The bottoms are held together by strings that tie at each hip similar to the ties on your upper back that keep the small chest piece in place. You’ve chosen fabrics of light blue for the base and cream for the trim that is of course bunched into frilly fashion. It wouldn’t be yours without some extra flare. The front of the bottoms cover decently but the back draws a shape higher onto the hips that leaves more than half of your gorgeous ass spilling out.
And it’s not the only thing to spill. The bottom sit low on your hips so that the front is tucked just beneath that adorable pooch of a stomach that Ao’nung is constantly tempted to bite into. Even the ties on the hips just barely press lines into your plush flesh that you call love handles. And to top it off, there is a tiny bow between your breasts and a matching one just atop your vulva.
Eywa above, if he knew teaching you to swim would put you in an outfit like this he would have fought even harder to make this day come sooner.
“Do you like it?” You ask, cheeks pink but eyes telling him that you already know the answer to your own question.
“What did you call this?” He asks, sweeping your long hair over one shoulder to admire the curve of your spine.
“A bikini.”
“Oeyӓ tawtute, I more than like it.” His lips gently press over a mark he had sucked into your skin last week, just above your shoulder blade. With twiddling fingers and a smile he can practically feel radiating even from behind you, goosebumps rise over your exposed flesh. “I don’t know what stops you from wearing this bikini thing more often.”
You snort and playfulling try to elbow him in the ribs. “You horny meathead.” With a giggle you turn around to scrunch your nose up at him which he has come to recognize as a chiding expression.
He’s not sure what is so funny about his comment. You may be giggling but he sees no reason why you couldn’t wear this during day to day life on the island. Although, he wouldn’t want to miss out on your strange dresses either.
“You know I can’t do that.”
He doesn’t but Ao’nung lets it drop when your small hand intertwines with his own and you practically begin skipping towards the beach. It seems this successful outfit has put you in a good mood, so it’s best to hold his breath and pray that it will remain that way once you get to the water. It has taken a couple weeks of convincing, borderline demanding, that you learn to swim.
Today you don’t show the usual signs of apprehension so Ao’nung plays along carefully, treading as light as a hunter worried about spooking their prey.
The good luck has passed. Whatever giddiness you felt from showing off your new bikini dissipated ten minutes ago when you two had finally reached the shore. Now you remain perched on the rock wall that extends a way into the shallows, watching with a nervous smile where Ao’nung stands in the water.
“You are stalling.” He accuses.
“I’m not.” You protest, bottom lip becoming snatched between your teeth. “I just think I need to observe you some more before I get in. After all, nothing’s better than watching the master.”
You catch on fast, that’s for sure. In the short few weeks the two of you have been together it seems that you’ve already devoted yourself to figuring out how to charm him and target certain weak spots. Try as you might, however, that isn’t going to work today.
“Get in.”
Your arms wrap around your own torso, a nervous habit of yours. He isn’t being mean, isn’t even raising his voice in the way some of his own teachers did when he was younger but it takes very little to intimidate a small tawtute like you. It’s important that he maintains some form of strict authority in these lessons, otherwise you will walk all over him.
It will never cease to perplex him how carelessly humans treat learning to swim. He thought the most horrific part of it would have been their form alone, something that had made his jaw drop the first time he saw Spider swim, but unfortunately it goes far beyond that. Among the seaside clans it is customary to have newborn children already learning how to kick to the surface on their own. Children know how to swim far before they can take their first steps. From what he’s heard, even the Omatikaya teach their children from a young age. And yet, Ao’nung was horrified to hear you say that some humans don’t learn how to swim until they are adults, some even die without learning.
He won’t let that be your fate. So no matter what it takes, he is getting you in the water today.
“You are being a bad numeyu [student], precious.” He warns, clicking his tongue in feigned disappointment. Just as he expected, your shoulders drop slightly. No doubt if you had a tail it would be tucking between your legs right now. Such little praise to have you melting and such little criticism to have you proving you can do better.
“We can start tomorrow I prom-AH!” Whatever promise you had hoped to placate him with turns into a squeal when Ao’nung heaves himself up onto the rock wall in one fluid motion. Immediately you start running back towards the beach. You know just as well as him that he can and will hunt you down to drag you back since it has come to that.
There is a part of him that awakens at the first sign of a chase. It’s the same part of his nature that has him imagining all the ways he could rip those scraps of fabric you call a bikini off and ruin you for any other man. It doesn’t help his focus to have your squishy ass bouncing further out of your bottoms as you sprint.
Regardless, the hardest part about catching you has nothing to do with the skills he has learned as a hunter and everything to do with keeping his carnal desires at bay. You would be all too happy to let take a session of his head between your pretty legs over a swimming lesson.
He has one thick arm wrapped around your waist within your first five steps. You waste no time in starting your pleas to be released, shorter legs kicking in the air as he tucks you against his chest.
“Wait! Ao’nung, I can’t! Not today. Put me down!”
“You can not learn without getting in the water.” He says simply.
“No no! I can’t! I can’t!” Once again your words turn to shrieks when he swiftly jumps back into the ocean, softly landing his feet in the substrate. The waves only reach his hips at this height and with you in his arms you are nowhere near having your head dunked under.
Nevertheless your efforts to cry for mercy quickly shift into clawing your way up his body. You squirm and wiggle and manage to twist halfway towards him so that you can grab his shoulders and try to get higher. You climb him like one does a tree, but with far less grace than anyone who has experience climbing to get the fruit.
“What are you doing?” With furrowed brows it takes everything in him not to laugh, only grunting softly when your feet get dangerously close to keeping him between the legs.
“Okay I think that’s enough for today. Bring us back up!”
“It is fine. Nothing is going to happen.” He assures, using his other hand to steer your feet away from his tewng [loincloth]. Ao’nung tries not to think about how good it feels when your legs wrap around his torso instead.
“Easy for you to say! You’re like ten feet tall and can hold your breath for an eternity.” The tide is not strong today, just as he planned, but even the small waves billowing against his waist seem to put you on edge.
This is why you teach children to swim early on. They have no notion of fear.
He is caught between two conflicting temptations. Laughing his ass off at your antics and chucking you into the deep end much like they do for Metkayina babies. However, both won’t have the desired result in the end. And Ao’nung tries to remember too how different you are from the Metkayina. They are born with life saving instincts while from what he has seen from humans, has been nothing but concerning regarding their instincts. There is no telling if you will resurface if he lets you go under now.
Growing up his teachers had always been strict; unforgiving. He knew the importance of learning skills swiftly so as not to become a burden for the clan, and even more so surpassing expectations as he would someday be Olo’eyktan. A tough regiment had worked for him but you…
You are soft. And it’s one of his favorite qualities you possess, both physically and emotionally, but this also means that using that strict attitude to the same degree would more likely have you giving up and locking him out of your room more than making any real progress. No, while a firm hand is necessary with you at times, it’s evident that praise draws so much more out of you than negative repercussions.
Ao’nung had thought you particularly inept when it came to climbing but he is surprised to find that you’ve scooted your way significantly up his torso and now have your blunt nails dig into his shoulder blades. Oh how he wishes they were dug in there for the same reason they were last night as he fingered your demon pussy open.
“Oeyӓ tsyeym [my treasure], do you think I would let you drown?”
“Well no but-”
“Is there anyone that knows these waters better than me? Anyone further capable when it comes to moving through the sea?”
“No.” You mumble against his shoulder.
“So since you are here with me, an expert, and we’ve already established I will not let you drown then does that not mean you are the safest person, both human and Na’vi, in the ocean today?” He tucks a curve finger beneath your chin so you are forced to meet his expression, his brows raised in question.
His logic is difficult to deny although there is still some hesitancy in your movements when you nod. But he’ll take it.
“And as your karyu [teacher] who is experienced in these ways should you not be trusting my methods?”
“Ao’nung-”
“No?”
Those pink lips form into what is surely meant to be a scowl but instead looks like nothing more than a pout to him. You know he’s right. How could you claim otherwise? But you stubbornly want to hold onto this fear.
“Yes, I suppose.” You say in a voice so small that Ao’nung’s ears have to perch forward to properly catch it.
“Good girl.” He grins, pecking you on the cheek before you can think up another excuse. “Let us begin.”
“Mawey, paskalin [be calm, honey]. You are too tense.” He purrs, hands supporting the curve of your back as you attempt to float atop the water. It’s a form not typical for the Metkayina but considering your small lungs he has deemed it essential for taking breaks in the water. However you are stiff as a board.
“I’m just trying not to sink.” You squirm until back on your feet and latched to his side. Perhaps you worry the tide will be strong enough to pull you out.
“The harder you try the more you will sink. Diving is not meant to be a struggle won. You must move with the water, do not fight against the sea.” For you to truly understand what he means you would have to actually try submerging beneath the waves. He had insisted that you learn without your mask, after all there is no guarantee you would be with it at all times, but it seems this crutch is one you are attached to and therefore refuse to go beneath the water without.
It is no issue. Ao’nung would rather teach you to dive the proper way slowly than have you relying on this crutch indefinitely.
“But you said that the sea is unforgiving. That it is a powerful force that does not discriminate when choosing prey.” Wet hair sticks to your cheeks as you look up at him. Ao’nung screws his lips and places a hand on his hip. You know how to pack a lot of trouble for someone half of his size.
“Hm, you love to twist my words, precious.” He teases, one hand snatching your hip to tug you in closer. He steadies your weak form when you stumble at the action.
“I-I’m not twisting it but this doesn’t make any sense. What am I supposed to do if a wave pulls me out from shore? I’ve heard even some Na’vi can not kick their way back in and so if they can’t neither can I. Not with these weak tawtute legs. And that’s not to mention the sea creatures. To some of them I’m not even a full bite!”
“None this close to shore are big enough to bite.” He cocks his head to the side. “Only some that could sting.”
“Ao’nung!” you screech hitting a hand against his chest. “I’m being serious. How am I ever going to be strong enough to do anything out here? It’s a hopeless cause which I knew but then again when do I ever really listen to-”
“You have forgotten to breathe.” And sure enough you pause for a second to take in his words before finally inhaling a shaky breath. When you get into rambles like this it’s common for you to fly off without any end in sight. Some days they are born out of nerves while others it's in excitement as you explain your favorite romantic movie in detail to him for thirty minutes. How did you survive such rambles before him? Who else was there to remind you the importance of oxygen?
“You think too much, paskalin.” Your pout only deepens but you lean against him. “I said I will teach you to swim and so I will. The rest is not for you to worry about.” Your hair tickles his lower abs when your head rests against him. He hears you inhale, preparing himself for more weak protests, but then you stop.
Your attention is snatched off to his far left where there is some splashing. He follows your gaze to find it fixated on one of the newests Ilu’s in deeper waters. This juvenile can only be a few weeks old as it is shorter than his forearm and remains in close proximity to its mother.
When he spots the way your expression softens, an idea sprouts. Ao’nung has been taking the wrong angle this entire time. It was only last week that he discovered how empathetic you are for animals, especially ones that have not reached adulthood. You had gone from constantly cooing at the strange small animals in your magic screen to falling apart into blubbering tears when one of the baby hippos, as you called them, couldn’t find his mother. It took a long time of hearing your choked up voice ramble about how alone that little creature must feel. It was a strange experience. Then again, that was during your bleeding week.
“We call her An’ali and her mother Se’xte.”
“She is adorable.”
“Do you want to see her?”
“Well yes but it’s deeper out there…” You trail off, uncertainty present in your tone.
“Grab on.” He instructs before bending down onto one knee and prompting your hands to his shoulders. You’re slow to comply, those big beautiful eyes peeking up at him with a flicker of apprehension but it seems your curiosity overrides that emotion because you finally clutch his shoulder to sprawl out across his back.
He could walk out to the ilu without any struggle of touching the bottom but Ao’nung opts to swim out smoothly, keeping his head and yours above the water. Just a small step to get you used to the feeling of gliding through the water. However, his swishing tail coming to aid does get tangled with your feet every now and then causing a giggle to bubble up your throat.
Luckily this sensation appears to distract you from the way the ilu swim out further into deeper waters. Ao’nung finds himself holding his breath, praying that you don’t notice how much further the sandy bottom is now. Fortunately, just as he hoped, the cute creatures have your full attention upon reaching them.
“Wow,” You whisper in a daze, looking past his shoulder. An’ali rubs up against her mother, earning an affectionate call in return. “They are beautiful.”
“They are ilu. Peaceful creatures.” When he reaches behind him to grab one of your hands there is resistance but he continues until it is resting upon the mother’s head. Se’xte gives a curious look but does not push away your tiny hand that pets at her head. He has a strong enough bond with her to have trust extending to you as well.
“And you ride them?”
“When we are younger, yes. Once a Na’vi has come of age and undergone their iknimaya they ride Tsurak.” If you are this amazed by the ilu he can only imagine what you will think once he introduces you to a Tsurak. Once he gets you more comfortable in the ocean maybe he can convince you to let him take you for a ride. At a slow pace of course. Your soft little hands do not have an ounce of the grip strength necessary to hold on for anything faster.
“She likes you.” Ao’nung smiles as Se’xte gives a chirp. He can practically feel you beam against his ear.
“I like her too.” It only lasts for another minute or so before the ilu is ducking beneath the water, not a sufficient amount of time to get a closer look at her baby. “Where are they going?”
“Beneath. We can follow.” Your fingers dig deeper into his shoulders, your breath wavering. Ao’nung doesn’t wait for permission however. It’s best not to give you time to overthink it. “Take a deep breath, paskalin.”
He waits to hear you deep inhale before diving beneath the surface. Your right arm hooks around his neck instinctively, your legs kicking out frantically but then there are the ilu just ahead, swimming around one another in a playful circle. Not wanting to push his luck too much on the first time, he surfaces after only a few seconds. This time he sets you to stand on a rock so that your head is above the soft waves.
“Ao’nung!” You gasp, holding a hand over your heart as if it is about to go into cardiac arrest. “Are you insane?! I could have died.”
“And yet you didn’t.”
That deeply rooted frown melts even as your eyes glare daggers back at him, no doubt not appreciating the smug look he wears. “You maniac!” Your accusation is accompanied by your right hand splashing water back at him. You’re barely holding back giddy laughter as you splash at him. Say what you want, but he knows you enjoyed the rush.
Ao’nung sweeps his own right hand out to splash back but his miscalculation of strength and the difference in height turns it into a full wave that washes over your entire upper body. “Oh.” He cringes slightly, feeling just a tad bit guilty for playing so rough.
However, to his surprise it lights something in your eyes. That embering fire turns into full blown competition as you try to imitate his man made wave. He fights back with his own, this time more gentle, retaliation as your laughter picks up. The Metkayina male’s tail swishes in excitement the further you take this little competition. Little sounds erupt from you that confuse him for a moment before he realizes this is your human form of battle cries.
His stomach aches from laughing so hard even as you manage to push a wave high enough to pummel him in the face. Ao’nung’s cerulean eyes narrow, his lips turning up into a crooked smirk. You have the better sense to scramble across the short distance of the rock when he lets out echoing yips and cries of a hunter who has already caught his precious prey.
Laughter and shouts coalesce together when he snatches you back in his arms. The splashing dies down as you struggle to catch your breath between wheezing laughter. Even Ao’nung himself finds his heart pounding at a significantly faster rhythm, but it’s spurred on by a new thrill that has taken him.
In the fit of playing you’ve slowly floated out of the circle in his arms, still holding onto his arms for support but there is no fear in your eyes now at being loosely kept above water. Just as he thought, the worst was all in your head.
“Do you trust me?”
You pause, eyes flickering between his face and the water again. And though it takes a moment for you to respond, you finally relent. “I do.”
Ao’nung smiles and situates you to float on your stomach. “Follow my lead, precious. Take a deep breath.”
Once he is sure your lungs are filled with oxygen Ao’nung wastes no time in helping you dive beneath the surface. His hands guide your body into the proper arch so that you can sink below and once you are, he dives beneath himself and grabs your clasped hands. With ease he slips deeper until he is directly below you and able to smoothly pull you through the water.
Your eyes are squeezed shut, as if bracing for harsh impact. Rolling his own eyes, he taps your cheek gently. When they timidly open he gives you a wide grin and a wink. However, Ao’nung does not have your spotlight for long. Now blown wide into sparkling orbs, your eyes take in every detail of the sea.
He gets to see it. The first time you fall in love with the ocean. The way you almost let out the breath in your lungs when a spade wing skates close by. How your gaze reflects every vibrant color the reefs have to offer. From the smallest to largest creature, you pay each the same undivided regard.
He couldn’t say what you see if his life depended on it, too enraptured in watching your reaction instead. The way one hand unclasps from his and reaches out to pet the juvenile ilu that passes them. Ao’nung can’t remember the first time he saw the ocean. He was only a baby and since then the underwater world has been his home more than the land above. So there is no telling if he looked at it for the first time the way you do now. Does he still appreciate the beauties of the sea for what they’re worth? Or has he grown to take such things for granted?
It feels like seeing it anew when he looks at it through your eyes.
He could watch you forever. Pull you through every inch of the sea if it means you can experience every wonder present from the open sea to the small nooks and crannies. You however can not hold your breath forever like this. So reluctantly, Ao’nung pulls you back up above the waves.
You gasp for air, but luckily there is no coughing fit to follow. Ao’nung keeps you above the surface as you fight to go back into a steady breathing pattern. However, it seems that the rapid beat of your heart is not just from catching your breath but also a reflection of the pure adrenaline your body displays.
Nothing is said for a long moment. Trying to gauge your reaction is difficult but a ravenous energy buzzes from you. Those pink lips part, but you don’t speak right away. You don’t appear to know what to say. And then slowly, your right hand comes to cup his cheek. He’s lost in your eyes the moment they snag his. A small sound catches in your throat, something between a laugh and a sigh.
For all the millions of words you’ve spoken, somehow this sound is the one he understands the most. True and utter awe.
Ao’nung doesn’t have to think when your lips touch his. It’s as simple as holding his breath, effortless as he pulls your body closer to his and bends to meet your kiss. It’s only been a few weeks since you first came to retrieve your bunny from his marui but his body has already begun acclimating to yours beautifully. He knows when to anticipate your little gasps for air when you’ve been kissing too long. His large hands have memorized the curve of your face and the feel of his fingers threading through your silky hair.
The ocean has never felt more tranquil than with you in his arms.
“The purple on the fins also reminded me of a dress that I put down ages ago, but now I don’t know maybe I will pick it up again. Because it looks so pretty in the water. Now that I think about it, it reminds me a lot of Annika’s dress. The one she magically receives at the end.”
Ao’nung wracks his brain to identify which movie you are referring to. Is this one you have already showed him or are you simply thinking out loud? Chances are it may be one of the stories he missed entirely because you were too tempting wrapped in that silky lingerie. Distracting you had earned him a light slap to the head but you didn’t complain once you were clenching around his thick fingers.
Even with your translation, following the plots of those weird stories is not nearly as entertaining as watching your face scrunch up in pleasure. Regardless, it’s important to you so he tries his best to behave. Or at least behave enough to keep you from kicking him out of your room.
“Oh my god what I would give to have the fabric for that dress.” You groan, your little theatrics tugging a smile to his lips.
“You were a very good numeyu [student] today, paskalin.” Ao’nung says, squeezing the hand that is interlocked with his own. Your fingers barely peek out from where his massive hand has them caged.
“Yeah well I have a pretty good karyu [teacher].” You send a wink even as heat rushes to your cheeks.
“Well I wouldn’t be a good teacher if I didn’t motivate you properly. So since you were so good for me today,” He snatches your waist and pulls you to a stop against him in one move. “I think you deserve a reward.” Those soft hands rest along his stomach, thumbs absentmindedly rubbing circles along the swirling pattern of his skin.
“Oh…I…is that so?” All essence of confident flirting flitters away before his eyes. Much like a fish out of water you gape for the proper words. It is far too easy to render you to such a state.
“Why are you soaking wet?” Lo’ak rounds the corner and jumps onto the woven walkway. While you put effort into breaking away and turning to the Sully boy with a smile, Ao’nung finds no reason to conceal his distaste for the untimely interruption.
“We were swimming.” You chirp, bouncing on the balls of your feet. Lo’ak’s unnatural dark brows knit together.
“You can’t swim. You’re terrified of the water. Remember last time I tried to get you in. It took hours and after five minutes you-”
An unrecognizable string of words fall from your lips to interrupt a story that Ao’nung was becoming quite interested in hearing. The consolation prize however is hearing your sharp tone shut the other male down. Whatever embarrassing memory Lo’ak was wanting to share is certainly enough to have you fidgeting beside him. “Ao’nung is teaching me how to swim.” You say, switching back to Na’vi.
“You are?” Lo’ak scoffs, finally turning to address him. His golden eyes dart between the two of you and it takes no genius to understand what memory the forest boy is recalling. In his youth Ao’nung had not been the most patient in teaching Lo’ak especially. Then again, he was also not in love with Lo’ak. He never earned the same softness that you bring out in him.
“It seems she has only been in need of the right karyu.” That smooth comment has Lo’ak eyes narrowed into slits. Sensing the tension between them you are quick to jump in.
“It was actually a lot of fun! I got to see a spade wing and a baby ilu, Lo.” Your voice is infused with so much energy, it’s clear you are attempting to compensate for the negative energy withering between Lo’ak and himself.
“And you went out in that? Tsmuke [sister], those are barely scraps.” He huffed, gesturing at your swimsuit. Something swells in Ao’nung’s chest. By the stars he is not about to let some forest boy crumble your confidence in wearing such a garment after all the work you’ve done to get this far. However, just as he is about to steer you behind him and give this skxawng [moron] a piece of his mind, you shrug and let out a little laugh.
“You wear nothing but a loincloth every day, Lo’ak. You’re not really in a position to judge.” Lo’ak opens his mouth to protest but you beat him to the punch. “Anyways, we’ve got to run. Bye!” You call out with a dramatic wave while tugging Ao’nung down the walkway. Sending a sly look over his shoulder he catches the way Lo’ak watches from afar with a pinched expression.
“Sorry about him.” You sigh.
“He does not approve.”
“No, it’s not like that. Lo’ak just thinks he has to play this protective brother role. It’s not personal.” His relationship with Lo’ak has come a long way since the Sullys first landed on this walkway. They’ve grown to put up with one another and occasionally be friendly, a necessity with the Omatikaya male courting his sister. That being said, he has never considered them close, nor would he be offended at finding out Lo’ak sees it the same way. You on the other hand don’t seem to understand this dynamic as you desperately try to reassure him.
“I swear he thinks just because he’s taller he can play big brother. He has concerns but that’s just part of his bravado act. I wouldn’t let it bother you.”
“It doesn’t.” Ao’nung shrugs. Although, it nags at him that Lo’ak has been sharing these concerns with you. If he has complaints they should be brought to him directly, not woven into your mind in hopes of creating doubt. Would that work? Have you already developed your own concerns? You’re a shy little thing at times but Ao’nung has always figured that to be part of how your personality reacts to his own. Surely, you must know the way he feels about you.
For all the ways you openly wear your heart on your sleeve, he still somehow can not be sure. Some things still remain a mystery when it comes to you.
“What is this?” You ask, once you're back inside his marui. He squints to make out one of the small figurines he had placed next to his hunting gear.
“A…cat?” He answers, eyes still squinting to see if he has passed your test correctly.
“No Ao’nung. I mean what is it doing here? What are all of them doing here?” The rest of the figurines are much like this cat one, although just like your bunny they all wear tiny clothes. Calico Critters you had called them the first time he asked. They serve no real purpose, just tiny things that stand there but the important thing is that you adore them.
So naturally he swiped them to bring back here.
“They don’t do anything, precious. Just exist I suppose.”
Your attempt at a stern expression is endearing, hand placed on your hips as your neck cranes to glare up at him.
“I’m starting to think you’re a kleptomaniac. You can’t keep stealing my stuff.”
“It is not stealing.” He shrugs.
“Oh really? Then what is it?”
“Relocating.” Ao’nung grins. “Now you can enjoy them here.”
Although there is not true ire in your questioning there is in fact real push back on the topic. You know why he has stolen your creepy figurines. Just as you know why he has strung some fabrics of pink and purple like a canopy along the ceiling of his marui. And placed a few of your extra blankets in his hammock. Whatever it takes to lure you back here night after night.
Notwithstanding all of his efforts, you continue to split your time between here and your place in the tawtute caves. Moving into his marui would be a natural next step in your relationship. Of course you are attached to all the silly trinkets you’ve acquired but he is not opposed to letting you litter his marui with them as long as you would call this place your home too.
Still, he remains patient. Many courting couples wait until properly mating before living together anyways. You must share the same morals. However, he sees no harm in enticing you all the same.
“I know what you’re doing.” Your voice smooths out into a sing-song tone. Ao’nung’s long hair falls over his right shoulder when he cocks his head to the side and feigns innocent curiosity. “You truly are ridiculous.” Fighting back a smile you begin arranging the figurines neatly into their separate families.
He has the decency to wait until they’re organized before sweeping you from the ground and falling back onto his hammock in one swift move. It draws a surprised chirp from your lips. A deep sigh echoes from his own chest even as you make weak protests about him giving you a heart attack.
“You know I still need to dry off.” You remind him but Ao’nung already has his head leaned back against the woven fabric. His right arm smoothly encircles around your middle to clamp you against his chest. You squirm and thrash to get out of his hold but it only takes an iota of his strength to keep you locked there. Even with his eyes closed in a show of feigned sleep, he can’t keep his lips from twitching into a pleased smirk.
That smirk crackles into a full laughter induced grin when your small hand swats at the side of his head. “Ao’nung,” You chide, a slight whine to your tone that has him stifling back his amusement.
Peeking his eyes open he finds your own strangely colored eyes glaring back at him. This little game of back and forth is one that you both enjoy frequently but he has a feeling that this time you may actually insist on being let up to get your towel. A sigh heaves from his chest as he shakes his head fondly. “There is no need, tawtute. I will keep you warm.” He says, reaching down to pull out a blanket and toss it over your small form.
Ao’nung is grateful when you don’t fight him further or demand a proper reason. He would give one but it’s unlikely you would understand. How could he explain that seeing you drenched like this does something to him? That your hair smelling of the sea’s salt water serves as a direct signal of you and his home coming together? Everything about you is unique, so new and foreign to him but there is something about witnessing those beautiful aspects of you slowly integrate into his life on the reef as well that lingers with him.
But you’re tawtute. Your sense of smell is greatly dampened in comparison. It’s a shame considering how many times he has scent marked you and you can’t even recognize it, let alone appreciate the possessive gesture. No, there isn’t an easy way to explain to you what he is feeling as he presses his nose against your crown. And even if there is, it’s doubtful that he would be the one to find it. Saying the right thing hasn’t always been his strong suit. It’s Tsireya that is good with the mushy sentiments.
And why waste the air with such jumbled nonsense when this moment already holds everything he needs? An ocean breeze that filters through the entrance of his marui to coast over your frame and carry your essence. A soft sway to the hammock, lulling him to relax. The satisfying weight of your warm body draped across his own.
And then there are your hands. Uncalloused pointer finger that delicately begins tracing over his shoulder tattoo. The soft glide of your finger greatly contrasts the pain he had endured to stain his skin with dark ink. You’ve never witnessed a Metkayina tattoo ceremony but your quiet fascination carries a certain reverence.
Swirling down further and further until he can feel the tickle along his bicep. Such a simple sensation, barely more than the brush of a breeze, yet it melts through him like liquid gold. The unconscious tense of his muscles release and already he can feel his breath deepen. He’s on the verge of succumbing to this silent lullaby when his ear twitches from being touched.
Ao’nung opens his eyes to find that you are carefully tucking a few strands or curly hair behind his pointed ear. Letting others touch his hair is not a normal practice for him. Traditionally he has relied on Tsireya exclusively to fashion it into a suitable hairstyle. There is something deeply…personal about it. It’s always been a fixation for you though.
And where his tail typically pikes onto alert and a growl blossoms in his chest at a foreign touch to his curls, somehow it all dissipates away when it comes to your strange tawtute hands.
Perhaps it's the way you marvel at him openly. You’ve always had a fascination for pretty things, a category that he was pleased to find himself a part of when your hasty confession came that first night. You’re often shy in speaking it, but your touch and stare always hold that same appreciation for his physique.
There’s more to it, though.
When you stare up at him like this, all bashfulness put to the side, it cuts him open. As if with one prolonged moment you’ve managed to strip him bare and peer into his very soul. It’s not his hair or intricate tattoos that you see. Not even the dozen of physical differences between you two that screams alien. You look at him.
Whatever you see in him.
If only he could read your thoughts. Finally untangle your tawtute customs and culture that have webbed you into a puzzle for him. Do you get that burning in your chest too? That one that feels like his heart has been clutched in an iron grip? Perhaps a grip from the same hands that now go back to tracing his tattoos.
With the smallest sigh your head drops back onto his chest. Sleep overcoming you is obvious by the now absence of touch along his right bicep. Ao’nung follows you into slumber mere minutes after when he has finally brought his heart rate back to a normal speed.
Your nap far exceeds his own. While Ao’nung had only dosed off for a few minutes but you are dead to the world for at least a half hour. Apparently that little swim had worn you to the bone. He would have to help you with endurance. It seems tawtute are not built for staying in the water long.
In fact you are so still as you sleep that Ao’nung finds himself placing a hand across your back to check that it still rises and falls with breath. When you do wake up it takes a minute for you to make out where you are with blurry vision. A sheepish look crosses your features upon realizing what position you’ve remained in. It’s followed by some silly notion that you laying on top of him is somehow considered rude or uncomfortable. He’ll never understand why you make these assertions.
Regardless, Ao’nung quickly wraps both arms around your waist when you attempt to move off of him. Dislodging yourself from his hold is an impossible task, a truth that you must come to recognize as you only give a feigned huff and try fighting back a smile.
“We can’t stay here forever you know.”
His pointer finger slowly drags over every vertebrae of your spine as he lets out a thoughtful hum. “Maybe not forever but I did promise a reward. Can’t have you skipping off before receiving what you are owed.”
The air seems to thicken with his words. A familiar tension is slowly wound as all of your sleepiness dissipates and goosebumps ripple across your skin. He can feel the evidence of his own excitement shifting beneath his tewng. Dirty thoughts of all the ways he could reward you sprout to the forefront of his mind. There is no end to these thoughts when it comes to you. Never before has someone woven themselves into his fantasies so incessantly. Even to the point where it can be a struggle to focus on his duties while you swim through his head.
Ao’nung pushes down those ideas for now, however. It’s only fair that you get to pick the reward after all that you’ve accomplished today. And then…if you need some ideas he would be more than anxious to supply.
“Have you decided what reward that will be?” He asks, forcing his hands to remain above the tempting curve of your ass. Just for now. You’re not always the most articulate when his wandering hands come into play.
Something flickers in your expression. Only a second before you are averting your gaze and gnawing on your bottom lip. Ao’nung’s exploring hand stills as curiosity lights within him. Propping himself onto one elbow he invades your space, forcing your eyes to meet his own.
“You do.” He smirks, reveling in the way you fight to squirm.
“Well, maybe. I don’t know. It’s just an idea so I’m not sure if-”
“Sevin [beautiful/pretty],” Ao’nung interrupts. “Tell me.” He coats his voice in a smooth purr, hoping to coax an answer from you, but his patience can only last so long. Whatever idea has sprouted in your brain must be obscene enough to prompt such hesitation in telling him. However Ao’nung has come to find that your meter for rating lewds acts is far more sensitive than his own. Regardless, you have his attention now. All of his previous ideas are cast to the side in favor of hearing what has you blushing.
“I was thinking that maybe…if it’s okay with you…that I could…suck you off?”
Ao’nung’s devilish smirk drops in an instant.
“For your reward you want to suck my cock?” The vulgar language has your cheeks deepening in color but you manage to nod.
Great Mother above, where did he find you?
It seems he must have done something right in his past life. He was ready to find satisfaction in your slick along his tongue and watching your writhe with pleasure but now you are sitting on top of him, the true depiction of bashfulness, asking to put his cock down your throat. His brain can’t really make sense of it, but he still stands by not asking questions when nice things come his way. And precious, you are by far the nicest thing he has ever had.
“Is that weird?”
“No,” comes his instant reply. Subconsciously he holds his breath. You’re an easy one to spook.
“Actually I was hoping you could teach me.”
This is starting to feel far too close to one of his favorite fantasies. So much so that Ao’nung takes note of every detail in the room to confirm that this could not be just some erotic dream. But this is real and a feral creature is stirring inside of him, gnawing at the bars of its enclosure.
“You’ve never…” Ao’nung trails off. Neither of you have talked much about past relationships, you especially. It’s common knowledge that the Metkayina prince has had his time sleeping around but he has no inkling of what you’ve experienced. The only hints he receives are the clear hesitation in your movements. Just enough to have him wondering if he is your first.
“I have. Just once.” That has his other arm propping him so he is now sitting up properly. “I mean I tried to once but I-I wasn’t very good at it. At least that’s what he said. Which make sense, I had no idea what I was doing so I couldn’t really be mad when he said we shouldn’t again-”
“Who?” A dark venom fills his chest. This is the first time you’ve discussed a past lover and he’s already not liking the light it's being presented in.
“Just a guy I used to date back with the Omatikaya.” So he’s not here. It would take crossing an ocean to kill him. Then again, he’s done more for less. Was it an Omatikaya male or did you fool around with one of the science tawtute? “It’s fine. He was right.”
His brain lags at the information. Caught between confusion and rage.
“And oh god now I’ve made it sound like the most unappealing thing possible. Great.”
Ao’nung barely hears your embarrassed groan. What man in their right mind has a beautiful creature like you on her knees for him only to criticise and turn her away? To be presented a gift and not only reject it but smash it into pieces, tear your confidence to shreds. So what if you’re inexperienced? A true man knows how to teach, takes joy in it. Joy that this creature has tossed out without regard.
It’s a perplexing tug of war between emotions. As a man himself he can’t help but find this person’s actions incredibly ridiculous. And yet, the idea of him enjoying your body has Ao’nung imagining ripping this faceless man to shreds. And a man he must not be. No true man does this.
To treat you in this way…there is no honor in such actions. The Omatikaya are different but they are still respectable Na’vi. It could not have been one of them, that would somehow feel worse. So a tawtute it must have been. A vrrtep [demon].
“It doesn’t have to be that. I think I might be making it a bit weird by sharing this.”
“This man said such things to you?” To your face? He looked you in the eyes as you fiddled with the hem of a lacy skirt and apprehension seated beneath long lashes and told you he didn’t enjoy your mouth around him? He watched those beautiful eyes hold back tears? Looked at perfection incarnate and spat in the face of it?
“Well yeah but..does it really matter?”
Does it matter? How could it not matter? Is that what he wanted you to think? That this was no big deal, convince you to suck it up and move on without complaint? That wouldn’t work on you. It’s only been a few weeks and even Ao’nung knows that words cut you deep. Anyone with a morsel of sense would know that. But this man, the same that somehow had the honor of sharing your bed, obviously had not taken a second to understand you.
Could he even please you if so? Had he even tried? Not in the way Ao’nung has, that much has been obvious from the way you still tremble after the orgasms he coaxes from you. It’s not a contest, for that he would require true competition. However a part of him, a part that directly conflicts his innate urge to pummel any man that has touched you, feels as if there should be competition. No one would ever compare to him, but your past experiences should have at least been enjoyable.
“Who is this?” His throat strains to hold back a growl.
“Um…I’m getting the feeling that it’s a bad idea to tell you.”
Smart thing that you are, you’re right. Correct if your goal is to prevent Ao’nung from ripping this anonymous man’s throat out. He can’t fathom why you would want to protect him but then again this is very in character for you. No matter what someone has done you always have a way of finding a soft spot for them. You care so much, sometimes too much.
And this man didn’t care for you at all.
Your precious heart is too big to tell him, but the Metkayina prince vows he will find out one way or another.
“He was just being honest.”
“Sevin,” A stern understone laces the pet name as he captures your chin. “He did not deserve you.”
Ao’nung weighs those words with every ounce of sincerity he can muster. And you feel it. It shows in the way your shoulders drop and expression melts into something new. Not a smile by any means but his words have touched you, they beckon you further into his arms. And then there is that cinch around his heart again.
And being the ridiculous little thing you are, you thank him. As if telling the truth is ever a favor. You are utterly nonsensical at times. Utterly nonsensical and utterly his.
“What he deserves is a spear through the chest.”
“Okay big guy, calm down.” You say, patting his chest while trying to hide your creeping amusement. You think he’s joking. How cute.
“Are you asking me to teach you because that’s what you want or because you think this is what I want?” Ao’nung hates to ask, to potentially ruin this opportunity for himself, but it’s needed. He won’t be like that pathetic creature of a lover you once had. Avoiding that starts with making sure you aren’t simply doing this for his benefit, to prove yourself in a way that he has never and will never ask you to.
“Do you want it?”
His hairless brows drop as he gives you a deadpan look. “Precious, you already know that I do.” Want it more than you can even fathom. “But that’s not what I asked you.”
There is a beat of hesitation, you poor bottom lip already torn up from your gnawing. “I want to feel like I know what I’m doing. I want to make you feel good in the same way you do me.”
“You already do.” There is still much left for the two of you to explore, so much more he can’t wait to do with you but there is no rush. You’ve brought him to the heights of pleasure no one else has before.
“I know but…still. And it’s not the only reason why. I’m curious.” Your head tilts in a subtle way to create a curtain out of your hair and hide that sheepish look. “You’re just so different and I…I’m interested.”
Different.
Interested.
Two trails of thoughts fighting for attention. Different from your past lover. Different because he is Metkayina or different because he is a Na’vi. Perhaps it shouldn’t matter but it’s difficult to stamp down that curiosity.
However, Ao’nung focuses on the latter. The same that has his ears perking with his own interest and groin suddenly becoming very aware of your weight situated there.
A low hum of appreciation rumbles in his chest as he slowly situates your further onto his lap. His turquoise cheek brushes against your jaw before he presses a slow kiss there. “My curious sevin, hm?” You suck in a breath when his sharp teeth just barely nip at your earlobe.
“Yes.” You whisper but those small hands are already smoothing over his shoulders, one even slinking to the nape of his neck.
“You know I am always happy to sate your curiosity, precious.”
That abused bottom lip is finally released when he captures you in a kiss. Despite the growing anticipation, Ao’nung leads this kiss in a pace that is anything but rushed. It’s languid. Relaxed. Sensual. And when he tilts his head to deepen the kiss you eagerly respond in kind.
The ties of your bikini are much simpler than the average Metkayina top and yet it’s difficult to concentrate on undoing them when his tongue is swirling around yours and your hands have already taken real estate lodged deep in his hair. Fingers fumbling for a moment to undo your top he can’t fathom at which point he had let you get such a tight hold on him. Those curious hands hold more power than he would dare to let you know.
The skimpy piece of fabric finally sags, only held up by being sandwiched between his chest and yours.
“This is what you want?” Ao’nung asks again, only departing from your lips for a second.
“Yes.” He pulls back when you eagerly chase after him for more.
“Promise me.” He demands.
“I promise.”
No words have tasted sweeter against his lips. So Ao’nung rewards your sweet behavior with a slow beckon of his tongue. Skillfully exploring and stroking your own until a groan has your lips parting wider for him. His right hand cups the back of your head, easily encompassing the width of your skull in his hold. Anything to keep you there, to continue breathing in your essence until it is seared down his throat.
Your breath is erratic when he pulls away. Even more so when he whispers a simple, “good girl.” There is always a visceral reaction that comes from that short phrase. An ease of tension in your muscles, a breathy sigh that directly trails to a shiver down your spine. It’s become one of his favorite coined phrases for that reaction exactly. Praise has a way of slipping you into a new headspace, one where worry dissipates and you finally allow him to worship you in the way you deserve.
Ao’nung veers back just enough to let your top fall before pulling you close again. Your breasts press against his chest, those tender nubs already prickling against his skin. So responsive and he’s hardly done anything to you yet.
It’s your turn to fumble with the ties when you attempt to undo his tewng. Ao’nung smoothly shifts onto his knees but that doesn’t greatly reduce your struggle when it comes to unwinding the ties from his tail. He’s partly to blame. The second you graze the base of his tail it reacts with a strong swish. Without one of your own, it must be difficult for you to comprehend the unique sensitivity of his tail. You sense there is something, though, hands already retreating shyly.
“What is wrong?” He murmurs against your temple.
“Nothing.”
It’s less than convincing, even more so when you grapple to meet his gaze. “No need to be shy, precious.”
“I just…don’t want to hurt you.”
It’s tempting to roll his eyes, a tawtute habit you’ve somehow managed to ingrain in him. Instead, he grasps your tiny hand carefully in his own and begins pushing it back towards his tail. “Just as you are mine, paskalin, I am yours.” Ao’nung fights back a shiver when you just barely brush the base of the wide appendage. “Which means I am yours to explore. Yours to enjoy.”
“Take advantage of it.” Something flickers in your countenance at his words. Although still slow and careful in actions a spark of intrigue ignites. He has been the main instigator in your interactions, far more bold in letting his desire for you show. And while Ao’nung revels in always having the upper hand it’s important that you understand the joy that comes from it too. To let you wander and sate your curiosities without restraint. Finally allow yourself the freedom from silly tawtute concerns that plague you.
Because he is yours.
He has been yours since the first time he saw you land at their shores with ribbons in your hair wearing that ridiculously short yellow dress. Even he did not know that day how far gone he already was.
Either way, you two have obviously been crafted for one another. And Ao’nung will be damned before he lets pointless Sky People customs get in the way of you fully enjoying that bond. To finally taste the ecstasy that comes with owning someone, body and soul.
Finally his tewng falls away and Ao’nung helps you dispose of it to the side. As he works on the ties of your bottoms now a kernel of courage slowly sprouts within your actions. Ao’nung smirks against the crook of your neck when he feels the traces of fingertips along his pecs before dragging over the lines of his abdomen.
As tempting as it is to tease you for the interest, Ao’nung spares you his knowing looks and instead encourages the action by placing sweet kisses along your throat. With very little effort he ripens an old mark he had left there last week, licking over the now beautiful contrast of color in delight. It seems to spur something within you as well, small kisses now running over his collarbones and down his chest.
The touch is featherlight, enough to have him almost squirming at how it tickles him. However, you are already letting your touch travel south. Ao’nung graciously aids this endeavor, sliding you off of his lap, flinging your bottoms to the side and laying down on his back with spread legs. For a moment he considers standing up and letting you kneel for a better access but it feels like a risk.
You are just barely mustering up enough confidence to explore. A small thing like you is easy to startle, standing above you could be too intimidating. And as much as he loves watching your nerves paint a beautiful blush over those cheeks, today it’s in his best interest to tread carefully.
Ao’nung holds back a jerk reaction when your hand wraps around the base of his cock. Despite your demure nature this activity has become one very familiar to you. It’s been a safe substitute for your little pussy as you work your way up there. It’s hard not to think about how you will stretch around his thick cock someday, how little whines will bubble up your throat without reprieve and he will finally know what it means to be inside of you.
But you are small. And fragile.
It’s easier to push those thoughts aside in order to maintain his patience.
You only stroke him a few times, hand barely able to wrap fully around him. And then without any warning, there is a loss of touch and you are crawling up his chest again. Ao’nung pulls back and raises a brow when your right hand slinks to the back of his head. Perhaps you are wanton for another kiss but then your lips never descend to his. Instead there is a shift in his hair before the rest of his long locks are falling freely and you are holding the band that originally had it tied into a bun.
This is a common preference of yours, seeing his hair unrestrained. However, today you don’t just fling the band to the side and become engrossed in admiring the curls. That large band is fitted around your wrist before you are bending back to gather your own hair. The view is more than preferable, back curving and chest opened up for his heated gaze. All of a sudden he can’t remember what his objections to his own hair were. Not when his teeth are drawing blood from his lip just imagining how perfectly they would sink into your right breast. Just above the nipple where no one but him would get to admire such a beautiful mark.
You tie your hair back into a ponytail, even giving its roots a good tug for measure. You mean business.
“Who is stealing whose stuff now?” Ao’nung jests.
“I don’t see you complaining.” Your nose scrunches at him in a teasing manner. It wipes away when his warm hands encompass your hips, kneading the flesh sensually. His left hand travels up your stomach and past your ribcage before brushing one nipple not so innocently.
“I’m very generous when it comes to you, precious.” You won’t understand how true those words are, especially when you’re too busy gasping at the harsh tug he gives your right nipple.
Saliva gathers along his tongue as he flicks the other hardened nub. Those pretty little tits always feel good in his mouth. So malleable. Your cries always responsive. If it weren’t for the clear ache between his legs the Metkayina prince would have you flipped onto your back and mouth tormenting those perfect breasts until you would beg for him to stop by now.
But that’s not the reward he promised you, he reminds himself as you are released and slink back down between his thighs. Apprehension settles in your shoulders again when you are face to face with his twitching cock. Fisting the bottom you take a deep breath to steady yourself.
“Paskalin,” He calls lowly. “There is no rush.”
Everything in his body screams otherwise, but Ao’nung maintains a cool composure. You’re already nervous. Already scarred from a past bad experience. It’s his job to do everything in his power to ease that burden. Even when that means torturing himself with the perfect image of you nestled between his thighs all while desperately aching for your touch.
“Yeah but you’re-”
“I am fine. It’s your reward, sevin. Do what feels natural to you.”
What feels natural to you is far more than what he is ready for. Plush lips press against his hip bone, trailing down into open mouthed kisses along his thigh. And then there are your teeth. Those silly blunt teeth that struggle to make an indent in his flesh but your attempt is stimulating all the same. A soft tongue and small teeth encompassed with those perfectly kissable lips work to suck and bite a new color along his upper right thigh.
You’re trying to mark him.
Claim him as he has claimed you so many times.
It’s concerning how fast it frays as his self control, awakening that primal beast within him. His own nails sink into the root of his messy hair while his other hand resting at the back of your head, carefully ensuring to cup you gently not push. When a muscle in his thick thigh flexes that silky tongue chases the line it makes.
The entire endeavor has his body awakening with anticipation, fighting the urge to pin you down and take what he wants now. It is ridiculous how such a simple act from his tawtute has him twitching with need but he loves seeing you this way. Letting your unbridled desire show, using his body the way that has always been your right.
When you pull back, Ao’nung’s neck cranes to see the damage. And damage you can barely call it as there is the smallest purple spot blooming along his upper thigh. Tiny indents of teeth around it.
It is nowhere near the possessive carnage of his own marks upon your lighter skin, in fact the change in color is hardly a contrast. But it’s his. Your adorable attempt at marking your territory is utterly his to treasure. His precious tawtute leaving the sweetest of gifts.
“So pretty, paskalin.” He purrs, finger stroking through your scalp as he battles the urge to stick his tongue down your throat again. The pad of your thumb brushes over the mark, gaze just barely peeking up at him beneath your long lashes.
His body can’t fight a jerk this time when you unexpectedly grab the base of his cock again. A reassuring smile is quickly plastered on his face when you look up at him in concern. The size of him is borderline comical in your hand. Cock practically the length of your forearm, it’s daunting to imagine what a tight fit it will be in your mouth. Equally erotic and nerve wracking to think of those sweet lips stretching around him.
“Promise you’ll help me do it right?” You ask gently, as if you aren’t simultaneously stroking his twitching cock in one hand, precum already drizzling down between your fingers.
“I promise. Stop worrying.” Ao’nung prays you don’t hear the waver in his voice. How unfair it is to expect him to answer your questions when it’s taking everything within him not to fuck up into your fist. “Just start with your tongue, precious. Let yourself taste.”
He had meant for you to explore slowly, maybe start from the bottom and work your way up but it’s clear you’re out to kill him because instead your pink tongue immediately flicks at the head of his cock, right over the slit where a drop of precum rests.
It’s a pure shot of electricity.
And that’s when Ao’nung knows…he is in trouble.
How did he not calculate for this? This is by far not the first time he has had a beautiful woman’s mouth running along him, but they had all been Metkayina women before you. Their tongues had a rougher texture, something enjoyable but entirely different to the silk-like surface of your own. It’s so soft it almost tickles.
He’s known this from the first time you kissed but somehow that never translated into how it would feel against his most sensitive parts.
Mercy is not afforded to him. Like the good numeyu you are, his instructions are taken to heart as your tongue lathers along every inch of him. Sometimes shorter flicks of your tongue while others long strokes that travel from the base to tip. You are duteous in your task. Even going as far as running over his heavy balls hanging beneath.
Great Mother above, he was not built to contain himself like this.
Blown out pupils look up at him when you pull back. It’s impossible to miss the seated hunger in your gaze, but first and foremost you wait for him to guide you. There is a drop of his arousal resting at the corner of your lips innocently, already starting to glow as eclipse has set outside.
Without thinking, Ao’nung finds his own thumb pressing at the dot to slip it back inside your mouth. The digit is accepted without question. Curiosity getting the better of him now, the prince presses his thumb down on your tongue.
Obediently your jaw slacks and lips separate. The pad of his thumb drags over your silky tongue as his other fingers curl beneath your chin. Saliva coats the digit before Ao’nung softly presses your jaw closed. “Suck,” He instructs.
Unlike with swimming you don’t question his methods. You suck hard enough to hollow your cheeks, presenting the perfect tools to imagine what it will feel like around his cock. “There you go. Breath through your nose, sevin.”
You take every direction graciously, following each to a tee. By the time he pulls his thumb out with a pronounced pop sound, it has a line of saliva still connecting it to your lips. He can’t help himself. Ao’nung slides that wet thumb down between your legs and lets it brush over your clit. A choked sound echoes from your throat, clasping his shoulder as he reaches further down to confirm his suspicions.
You are absolutely drenched.
“I-I want to try,” your breathy voice rushes out.
Biting back a moan, Ao’nung kisses your cheek before whispering, “Do as you wish.”
With heavy lidded eyes, he lays back and watches you settle between his thighs again. There is less urgency this time, desire overriding your apprehension. Less timid now, you take his cock in hand and start to fit your lips around the head. The tip is barely past your lips before you are emulating the ministrations he had taught you on his thumb. Cheeks hollowed and tongue running wild, you suck the very life out of him.
“Precious precious,” Ao’nung gasps out, pulling your head off of him. “Not yet, sweetheart. Not yet.”
His body thrums from the aftershock. Too much all at once. “Let’s focus on getting me in that pretty mouth first, hm?”
“Sorry,” You mumble, already pulling back but Ao’nung pushes your head forward again.
“Don’t apologize, sevin. You are being so good for me.” Wrapped in his praise you lower down around him slower this time.
Just fitting the head inside is already a mouthful, something he tries to keep in mind as his hips are begging to buck up into your sweet cavern. It feels like being wrapped in satin. That perfectly hot wet cocoon of your mouth encircling his cock as if it was made for him. Not even halfway down and he can just barely feel the back of your throat.
Ao’nung keeps you positioned there, not wanting to push you too far yet. He makes the mistake of looking down, however, and that image alone has his balls drawing up, dangerously close to the edge. Your pink lips stretched to their limit, such a beautiful contrast to sparkling eyes that peek up at him for approval. An absolute masterpiece.
A shudder ripples forward when you suddenly pull off of him. “It won’t fit,” you pout.
As if the situation isn’t already enough, those deceptively sweet words have the filthiest of fantasies running through his head.
“That’s alright. You can use your hand for the rest.” He prompts.
The advice helps when you lower down again, fisting what you can of the rest with your hand but even then it won’t cover all of him. “Now you can try your tongue, sevin. Just like I taught you.”
But the way your tongue incidentally rides the vein on the underside of his cock is far more than what he taught you. It’s only his reaction that has you less oblivious to its sensitivities. Ao’nung lungs suck in air sharply, the concave of his stomach accenting the x shape of his ribs.
“Am I hurting you?” You ask, abruptly rearing off of him. Those beautiful features are painted with such genuine concern Ao’nung is caught between laughing at your innocence and growling in need. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean-”
“You are so far from hurting me, precious.” Voice thickening with something carnal, Ao’nung pins you with ocean blue eyes. “That pretty mouth feels so good around me. Let me feel it again, paskalin.”
The words strike you hard, plummeting you into a daze-like state as you softly follow the push of his hand. Whatever worries you have dissipate, too focused on getting him to gasp like that again. And it turns out such filthy words are exactly what you need when he is nestled in your heat, wide eyes crinkling with glee.
“There we go. Now suck, sweetheart.”
It takes little encouragement for your compliance. Even the small directions of how hard to suck, where to lap your tongue is ardently followed. Less experienced you may be but your obedience makes up for it ten fold. And then you are following him down into the thick haze of desire. Nostrils flaring, your head starts lowering down to take him deeper.
Despite his flaring desire to watch you choke on him, Ao’nung hesitates. You’re fragile. This isn’t like the other women he has been intimate with. Throwing you around, using you too harshly, can come with consequences. Push too hard and he may just break you, making this an experience you never wish to repeat.
But then his cerulean eyes catch a glimpse of your thighs, the way they squeeze together. That tantalizing essence is thick in the air, even more so when you begin rutting against the fabric like an animal in heat. There is still a slyness to your movements that tell him you’re trying not to get caught, but it’s too late.
You are enjoying this just as much as him, big wide eyes begging for more.
And so more you will get.
“You want my cock down your throat. Don’t you, sweetheart?”
The hum you give in response not only confirms his theories but lights every pleasure center in his brain. A growl rumbles in his chest. “Of course you do, because you’re a good fucking girl, aren’t you?”
Another whine around him and Ao’nung’s toes are curling against the hammock. He fists the base of your ponytail and both of your hands position themselves at his hips, blunt nails digging in. “Then do as I say, sevin. Relax that throat and let me in.”
The first time he slinks past the back of your throat, your gag reflex kicks in dramatically. Immediately he pulls out to allow you a ragged breath but before he can ask if you’re alright, your hands are clawing at his hips and trying to pull him back in. Ao’nung doesn’t need to be told twice.
The pattern continues. His hips draw forward a little more each time until the choking seems to be too much and Ao’nung draws back to allow you air. Each time he is rewarded with the view of your sinfully debauched state. Lips ruby red, a mixture of his precum and saliva glossing over them, and blown out pupils lazily staring up at him.
You’re a quick learner. It’s easy to fall into a rhythm of this pattern. It comes to a point where you are efficient in taking a deep breath before he is spearing down your throat again. Until it can be done faster and faster. Until he has almost three quarters of his length encompassed and able to thrust a couple times before needing to pull back.
“Fuck, precious!” He groans, feet already planting against the hammock’s surface. “My perfect little cocksucker.”
Those words spurs a new energy through you. When he comes to pop out after a couple thrusts, you snag his hip and give him a look. A silent communication that tells him all he needs to know. And by Eywa, it could not come at a better time. He is hanging just over the edge of release. It’s unclear how much longer he can keep that beast inside of him caged.
So when you pull back for one last breath, his grip tightens on your hair and Ao’nung hips finally snap up with vigor. You take it like a champ, choking and drooling but eagerly pushing him to fuck down your throat. Those little ruts against the hammock becoming even more desperate with every growled moan he releases.
“So fucking perfect.” He growls out between clenched teeth. The last tangible sound before his hips are ricketting sporadically and his balls are drawing up against him. Ao’nung finishes with his head thrown back. A position that only lasts for a moment as he quickly remembers to look down and watch the way you choke around him. He doesn’t fight it when you pull back and the rest of his spend lands across your jaw and collarbones.
Now caught in his own daze, the prince hazily savors the masterpiece before him. Tears glossing over your eyes, abused lips parted, and his bioluminescent cum painting your satin like skin. If only there was a way to keep this image tucked away in his pocket forever.
Coming down from his high, Ao’nung feels a tinge of guilt when he surveys your state. That is, until he catches another whiff of your arousal and watches a dopey grin trace your lips. For the first time in perhaps forever, he finds himself speechless.
That grin dampens down in the silence, however. Chest still heaving for air you nervously ask, “Was it…good?”
Nothing more than a raspy whisper but your concern is pure.
Ao’nung is baffled. Wholly bewildered at how you can sit there with his sperm still dripping down your breasts and sincerely ask him such a question.
He’s going to kill that pathetic man, that is for certain. Rip apart the one person that ever dared to make you question such a thing. The man that made you feel like anything less than a goddess.
“Good?” He asks, slowly rising to sit up. You bite your bottom lip. “Oh precious, you aren’t good.” Ao’nung’s thick tail swerves behind him when he settles onto his knees, hands clasping your hips. “You are addicting. My perfect unraveling.”
If he wasn’t so impatient he would savor the way your breath catches and eyes sparkle in delight. But he only sees it for a second before you are manhandled onto your back with a squeak and he is bullying his head between your squishy thighs.
“Spread those pretty legs, tawtute. It’s my turn to taste.”
If you enjoyed this story please take the time to share your thoughts. I can't express enough how much it means to me, especially for this little story! It's one of my favorites<3

🎥 In which your constant fights with Ao’nung helps prove just how protective Neteyam can be
A/N Erm hey guys 😅 Long time no see! Some of these requests are super old so sorry if you’ve been waiting for a while. Sorry if it’s a little different than what you requested!
𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐘𝐀𝐌 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2e9166930940dafea3695adaeb0083e7/12a87733f13a2e95-7b/s540x810/5092acb8b73d0fec57ec56a4a7e585c7764d3e76.jpg)
ONE THING THAT Neteyam really liked about you was how much pride you had. You never let anybody talk down to you, and you weren’t afraid to speak your mind. It was one thing that reminded him of his mother and Ronal, which were clear signs of a perfect Tsahik.
And though he absolutely loved those traits, it would get you in to trouble, especially when there were people who loved to provoke you like Ao’nung. The eldest son of Tonowari was immature, you knew that. He was just some teenage boy who loved getting under your skin. You tried to ignore it, for the most part, you swear.
But when he started talking about your mate’s family, talking about Kiri or Loak, that’s when you finally bit back. They never got physical, thankfully due to Ao’nung having a little sense, or Neteyam being by your side to stop anything from happening.
But today, he took it a little too far.
It was when you were doing some of your chores, carrying fishing nets from the market back to your hut. You were walking along the sand in shallow waters, a place where Kiri liked to come to marvel at the shadow patterns in the sand. You were alone, Neteyam off doing something for his father.
“If it isn’t the princess.” You heard that obnoxious voice, your eyes instantly rolling just by the sound of him. You stopped in your tracks, head hanging low as you sighed. “What now, Ao’nung?” You groaned, turning around to face him. He stalked towards you, a usual smirk on his lips.
“Oh, come on, don’t be like that, forest girl. I’m surprised you’re not with your bodyguard.” He teased, obviously talking about Neteyam. You furrowed your brows, glaring at him. “He is not my bodyguard.” And it was true. You and Neteyam both knew you were well enough capable to protect yourself.
“It sure seems like it! You never leave your hut without him.” He laughed, his arms crossing in front of his chest. Your eyes narrowed.
Actually, this had been a thought in your mind for a while. Neteyam always stopped you during fights, and dragged you away before it could get worse. You had seem Ao’nung’s winning laughter too many times.
Neteyam did think you were capable of protecting yourself, right? A future Tsahik who can’t even protect herself was not acceptable. If you can’t protect even yourself, how would you protect your clan?
Ao’nung smirked, hands in the air as if saying ‘See?’ “So I am right. You are too weak. Maybe even weaker than Lo’ak.” He scoffed. You couldn’t help but bare your teeth at him. He knew you hated it when he brought them up. “Do not speak of Lo’ak. He is not weak, and neither am I.” You started, chest high in pride as you stepped into his personal space, shoving a finger into his chest.
“What you are is a disappointment, not only to your father, but to your people. You are so cruel, Ao’nung.” You said through gritted teeth, canines apparent. His smile dropped, a glare forming. “You are childish, and immature. That is why Neteyam has a mate and you do not.” He stumbled backwards when you pushed your fingers against his chest, resulting in his snarling at you.
“What is going on?” You heard the voice that had practically been engraved into your brain, turning over your shoulder to see Neteyam, who already had a nasty look on Ao’nung.
Ao’nung scoffed. “There’s the bodyguard. It seems you really are weak, princess.” He huffed, looking back to you. “Do not call her that.” Neteyam stepped forward to say something more, but you stopped him. “I can protect myself.” You said, the sentence more directed to your mate.
Ao’nung laughed. “Protect yourself? Like you protected your people? Maybe that is why your home tree is gone and your people are dying.” Something snapped inside of you, and you stepped forward to do something, anything, but was apparently beat to it. You were gently pushed to the side, Neteyam’s fist connecting with Ao’nung’s jaw. “Neteyam!” You had gasped, eyes wide in shock.
The punch was so hard that the boy fell to the ground, body slamming into the sand and water. He scrambled to get up, stepping forward to hit Neteyam back, but you quickly shielded him. Ao’nung stared at your with eyes of fury, and you mirrored his expression. He was breathing heavily, shocked from the hit.
“What, are you going to hit a woman?” You spat, holding Neteyam behind you. Everyone stood still for a heartbeat, Ao’nung’s hands opening and closing as if wanting to do something to regain his pride, but having no choice. He huffed, before turning on his heel and stomping away.
You didn’t move, keeping your eyes on his back until he was finally out of sight. You finally relaxed, but your anger was still there. You turned around, giving a knowing look to Neteyam. His ears flickered. “What?”
You closed your eyes, sighing. “I can protect myself, ma Neteyam.” You crossed your arms over your chest. “I know.” He said lightly, as he always did. You nibbled on your bottom lip, looking away. Did he, though?
As your mate, he noticed these subtle expressions immediately. That was one of the things you loved about him. He understood you with you having to say it, and he knew exactly what to say for you. He gently took your hands in his, rubbing the back of your hands with his thumbs.
“Trust me, I know. That is one of the reasons I chose you as my mate. You are strong, ma (name).” He gripped your hands firmly, reassuring you. Seeing as you weren’t 100 percent convinced, he let out a small huff through his nose. He leaned down, pressed a tender kiss to your cheek.
“I stop you because that is my role as your mate. I have to protect you, and I cannot stand seeing you get hurt in any way. It is me being selfish.” The last sentence forced a small laugh out of you, feeling the tiniest bit more confident. You had never thought about it that way.
“I see you.” He said, gripping your hands tightly. You smiled softly. Yes, this was the man you chose. “I see you too.”

he’s…what?
pairing ; jealous! ao’nung x f!sully! reader
taggings ; 🪽⭐️🐚
summary ; ao’nung quickly falls for the sully sister after she arrives in his village, but who is this boy she keeps talking about?
3.1k words
when you and your family had first arrived in awa’atlu you hated it. the sound of ilu’s chirping and waves thrashing against the sand wasn’t normal. the smell of salt was disgusting. there were no trees to shield you from the suns rays or give you coverage when you wanted to be alone. no grass or cool dirt to dig your feet into.
this wasn’t your home; you belong in the forest. you had been chased out of your home after having a knife held to your throat by sky demons; obviously you weren’t happy to be here.
your nerves certainly were not eased when the tsahík of the metkayina, ronal, had grabbed your four-fingered hand to show the crowd. you were instantly met with hisses and snarls from the lighter blue clan. you gently trembled at her touch, less from fear and more from annoyance, and continued staring into the sand, trying to dig your feet into it like dirt. it was too hot; this wasn’t your dirt. your mother intervened, seeing your discomfort, and held you to her; raising her fangs towards the tsahìk. your father entered himself in hopes of calming the situation down, showing the clan his own 4 fingered hand.
when ronal had moved on and the attention focused on the leaders of the metkayina, you glanced up, seeing the ocean clan more clearly this time. you had noticed a girl and two boys closer to your family than the others; they looked around your age. the female was eyeing your youngest brother before her vision shifted towards you. she offered you a warm smile along with a small wave. you looked her up and down before giving her your own smile and wave, though you lowered your hand as you could tell she was now focused on your extra finger.
you looked beside her to see a taller boy with a bun, he had been the one to make fun of your brothers thin tails, the tail you all shared. you sighed and continued staring at the teen, for some reason you couldn’t stop. that was proved false when the boy looked your way, you diverted your eyes back to the sand as fast as you could. you hadn’t been able to see it, but the teal na’vi eyed you up and down silently. his shorter friend slapped his arm and laughed at him, whispering something you couldn’t quite pick up.
apparently whatever your parents and the leaders were talking about had been concluded. you heard the olo’keytans stern and loud voice speak out among the crowd, before he faced your family directly and spoke a bit softer.
“my son ao’nung, and my daughter tsireya will show you our ways.”
ao’nung and tsireya. the boy you had stared at spoke up in disagreement, leading you to his name being ao’nung, as well as him being the chiefs son. the kind girl had also made herself to be tsireya when she guided your family to your new home.
you walked among kiri, trailing shortly behind her. you followed tsireya and ao’nung had followed from behind you all, paired with his little friend.
“i do not like it here kiri.” you spoke as you looked up to face her.
she scoffed in return, “yeah me neither.”
“these are ilu, if you want to live here, you have to ride.”
you and your siblings were all hip length deep in the sea, surrounded by multiple swimming animals, they were called ilu. they reminded you of your ikran.
the ocean siblings had been tasked with training you all to learn how to survive within their clan, and it was time to tame your animal.
tsireya first helped lo’ak, you already knew why. it was quite obvious. he had settled onto the creatures back and held onto the saddle. he made tsaheylu with the marine animal and she took off. you watched as your brother had tried to hold on as best he could but was ripped off due to the speed and pressure that being underwater included.
he had failed miserably and tsireya continued to guide him, but you couldn’t all wait for him. (you’d be there for years.)
ao’nung had invited you over a few feet to show you how to get your own ilu. he explained the process just as tsireya had. you mounted the animal and waited for instruction.
“hold here, when you make the bond, you need to think with her. not against her. let her guide you.”
after seeing what happened with lo’ak, you figured that was a load of bullshit and you would be swept away too. you gripped on the saddle with one hand and grabbed your braid with the other.
“your position is wrong.”
the blue teen pushed your back down and shifted your legs. the feeling was different, the extra skin on his arms were odd. your heartbeat quickened for a moment and the ilu beneath you flapped her fins.
“there. remember, bond gentle.”
you connected your kuru with the creature, and took off. you panicked for a little until you were reminded with how dramatic lo’ak is. he had made this look like such a hard task, it really wasn’t too bad. the water pressure threatened you but you were able to manage. you tightened your grip and squeezed your eyes shut. as you felt the tide flow with you, you slowly opened your eyes. you instructed your ilu to slow it down, which she listened too.
the sea wasn’t horrible. there were so many new creatures you had never even known about. you looked among the fish and corals as you smiled at the sight. feeling your chest begin to tighten, you and your ilu went back up to the surface, swimming closer to where you had left the others.
tuk was the first to congratulate her big sister, “that was so cool (y/n)!”
“yeah way better then lo’ak”, laughed your eldest brother, neteyam.
“ok bro, who invited toruk makto?” your youngest brother was always the jokester, and you laughed at the reference.
looking back at your mentor, you noticed ao’nung hadn’t held any malice or laughter towards you, you took that as a good sign.
throughout the training of your family, you had sectioned off into unofficial groups. tsireya tended to assist lo’ak and tuk, while ao’nung helped neteyam, kiri, and you. ao’nung had tried selling you off to tsireya because he was upset he had to deal with three sully’s while his sister only had two. she had argued that having tuk was basically like having two in one, and she stood with her statement.
with annoyance, he taught you what you all needed to know to adjust to the ocean. most of his lessons were filled with sighs and reprimands when someone would do something wrong, but that had started to fade lately.
“what do you mean ao’nung is nicer? no he isn’t? he still makes fun of us during training…”
oh.
it had only began to fade for you.
well this was fine, neteyam was probably just exaggerating. after all, he was certainly a charmer yesterday.
. . .
“you are not breathing right.”
you and ao’nung sat on a jagged rock in the middle of the reef, he was giving you a private lesson on holding your breath because apparently you were falling behind. (not true.)
you looked at him as he demonstrated how to intake the air and hold it, but it just looked like normal breathing. you tried to repeat what he did but it still wasn’t good enough for him.
“what are you even doing? are you even breathing?”
you rolled your eyes and looked away from the teal teenager, he was so dramatic.
“pay attention to me forest girl,” he redirected your face back towards his.
he placed one of his wide hands on your smaller diaphragm and the other where your heart layed.
you panicked at the sudden contact and prayed he couldn’t feel your heartbeat pick up beneath his touch.
“eywa please i never ask for anyth-“
“your heartbeat is fast. that’s why you cannot breathe.”
thanks great mother.
despite the metkayina’s teasing, he had genuinely seemed to adjust to you. you two spent more one on one training together and even hung out when it wasn’t time to train.
it was nearing eclipse when ao’nung had come to your families marui, unfortunately, your father had noticed him first.
“what are ya’ doin’ here boy.”
the shorter navi hesitated for a moment until he was able to speak up,
“i’m- i’m here for (y/n.) sir.”
your father looked him up and down with a stern look on his face. ao’nung was convinced he would be thrown outside by toruk makto himself. jake grunted and leaded down into your new friends face.
“she’s back by 10 before eclipse. a second after and i’ll cut your tail off. she comes back with even a hint of your touch on her i’ll drag you deep into the ocean by your braid and leave you there. understood?”
“yeah- got it.”
“i said understood.”
“uh-understood sir!”
your dad sighed before finally alerting you of the conversation,
“(y/n!) visitor!”
you showed up at the door as your father was walking away, and was greeted with the sight of ao’nung shaking in the sand.
“hey ao’nung! you alright?”
he eyed the exit, indicating you to leave with him. once you step out he grabbed your thinner arm and ran towards the shore, looking back for the deadly gaze of jake sully.
“oh my god (y/n) why didn’t you tell me your dad is fucking terrifying.”
you giggled and brought your hand to your lips, trying to conceal it.
“whatever, no big deal, follow me.”
despite his ego being damaged, he led you along the shore, pointing out some shells he though you would like on the way. you two eventually made it to the more foresty part of his island, farther from the clan.
you were unaware this area existed and instantly fell in love. it had been months since you had seen a tree. the sight reminded you of your home and it brought you so much happiness. you glanced at the back of ao’nungs head as you continued to follow him where he led. you two made it to a part of the small forest that opened out into the beach. you could see the sunset and water clashing onto the sand all from behind a tree.
“ao’nung! this is so beautiful, it’s just like the forest!”
“well yeah, that’s what i was hoping for..”
he was hiding his flushed face but you could hear the smile he was trying to hold back.
“come!”
you grabbed his arm towards a tree you deemed was tall and had enough branches. effortlessly, you climbed up the tree. you jumped and stood on branches, easily making it to the high thin branch you wanted. you had planted your left leg and arms on the branch as your right leg hung down.
the lighter blue na’vi watched you and his mouth dropped open. he had made fun of your family for being poor divers, but god you were good at climbing. him and his friends would break the branches if they were to ever try that.
“get up here!”
“yeah…i don’t think so.”
you quickly remembered you were among the sea people now, and their bodies simply weren’t built for climbing like you were.
“ah right.”
you hopped down onto a lower branch then the ground, the teen boy staring in aw yet again. you ran up to him and pulled him into a hug while giggling.
“thank you ao’nung, really. this was great”
he scoffed in embarrassment and rubbed his neck,
“yeah, we’ll there’s actually one more thing. i was just wondering if you’d l-“
you cut him off before he could finish his question.
“this is just like what txäol would show me!”
what.
ever since the first mention of this “txäol” they kept coming.
no matter how many times ao’nung tried to get you to like him more, it always ended up as a talk about txäol.
“ao’nung this necklace is so pretty! it looks like the one txäol gave me!”
“txäol used to say that! he’s super funny.”
“oh eywa this shell would look great next to the flowers txäol gave me!”
you were beyond oblivious at the way ao’nungs eye would twitch when you brought up your best friend from back in the forest.
it was a comment on the gifts he’s given you, or the stories he used to tell you, or sometimes you would show the metkayina boy some things the omatikayan gave you before you left the forest.
ao’nung raised his concerns with tsireya first. she was pretty close to you, so he thought she might have some intel.
. . .
tsireya automatically burst out laughing when her brother questioned her.
“your-your joking right? sweet eywa, your so funny! your helpless brother- truly!”
“what- tsireya what are you talking about?! who is txäol?!”
“oh-oh my eywa i cant-“ she continued laughing.
“is he her boyfriend?!”
this just caused tsireya to start laughing again. she gripped her stomach and bent over, unable to stop the giggles that flowed out of her.
“whatever- your never any help! i’ll just ask her!”
and so that’s what he did.
the teal teenager approached you while you were mounting your ilu, getting ready to go hunting.
“(y/n)!”
you turned your head to the sound of your name and saw ao’nung riding his own ilu towards you.
“oh- hey! did you need anything? i was just about to head out.
he had been torturing himself over this question for so long he just cut to the point.
“is txäol your boyfriend?!”
you paused and had no words. your ilu had picked up on your shock and had even dropped her own jaw.
“t-txäol? h-“
you were cut off by the reef na’vi.
“if he is- just tell me. i understand if you have a lover back home that you can’t forget about. all i’m asking is you let me know!”
“he’s n-“ you tried to speak before you were interrupted again.
“i just can’t deal with the not knowing! i see you, (y/n), and i need to know if you see me too! you talk about this txäol guy all the time, so if your in love with him instead, tell me! i won’t be an-“
“he’s gay!”
oh.
bonus!!
the sky people had finally returned back to their planet, and wouldn’t be coming back this time. this meant your people were safe. you could go back to the forest! back to the forest…
when you first arrived at the reef, all you could think about was going home, and how happy you would be. but now that home was right in front of you, you just couldn’t. not without ao’nung.
you two had recently began courting each other, and had plans of mating once you both completed your rite of passages. you couldn’t leave him behind now. so if you couldn’t leave him behind..why not take him with you!
. . .
you yipped for your ikran, calling her down to the sandy shores.
“seyä! hi girl!” you rubbed her nose and cleaned off some sand off her head.
you mounted seyä and invited ao’nung to do the same.
“no fucking way.”
“she doesn’t bite!”
“yes the fuck she do? look at her!”
“aww you poor thing..is he being mean to you?”
you rubbed your ikrans head and made tsaheylu. she flapped her wings and screeched, scaring the hell out of ao’nung.
“yeah there’s no way i’m going anywhere near that th-“
he was cut off as seyä picked him up under his arms using her claws, flying up in the air. you giggled and grabbed ao’nungs hands, pulling him up behind you on the saddle.
“that wasn’t so bad- right?” you could swore you saw a tear running down his face, but he denies it.
. . .
the fly had taken a few days and you were exhausted, ao’nung had given you company and made sure to hold you extra tight when you were getting tired. if it wasn’t for him stopping you to make you sleep, you probably would’ve flown while sleeping.
after what felt like years, you finally arrived back at the forest. you flew over the trees until you saw the omatikaya people, your people. your smile had began hurting your jaw as you landed your ikran on a tree, hopping off and landing on the branches. you would just jumped right down but you had to help the metkayina.
“here- just..place this foot here. and then this arm right here.”
it took awhile (32 minutes) to get him down around 7 branches. it usually took you a few seconds, but who were you to judge.
he mainly just trailed behind you as you greeted so many friends you had missed. he felt like the outsider now, surrounded by darker blue people with thin limbs. he stayed back until he heard someone scream your name. a boy scream your name.
“(y/n)! oh my eywa- your back!” he ran up to you and embraced you in the tightest hug out of everyone else.
ao’nung looked this guy up and down and frowned at him, about to step in and announce himself as your boyfriend until you spoke up.
“txäol! oh i missed you so much-!”
oh. him. the metkayinas anger was reduced, but still present. this boy was all over you! how could he not be upset? he stepped up closer to you and wrapped his hands around your waist, hugging you from behind.
“oh- txäol meet ao’nung, ao’nung meet txäol!”
txäol raised his nonexistent eyebrows at how the boy hugged you and eyed you. he would definitely need you to tell him about everything he missed.
“i’m txäol, (y/n)’s best friend!”
“ao’nung. her mate.”
you kicked ao’nungs knee, trying to get him to be nicer. he was still jealous and god did it show.
“speaking of mates..” txäol started.
you stared and him and gasped. “your lying.”
“(y/n) meet ityea, my boyfriend.”
a shorter omatikayan male entered from the forest and held txäol’s hand. you screeched. like loud. ikran loud.
“txäol oh my eywa i can’t even- you guys are so cute!!” you hugged your best friend and spun around.
“right?! but no- you guys too! i can’t believe you found someone in another clan- you guys are adorable!!”
ao’nung backed up and grounded himself. right. he was gay.

Hello I was wondering if I could request an Ao’nung x Reader, maybe reader could be Tsu’tey’s daughter from a woman he had mated with after learning of Neytiri’s and Jake’s mating, he had a woman that he had loved but he couldn’t have because he was betrothed to Neytiri. And that love bore fruit to our reader who is very close to the Sully family especially with Kiri whom she always defends when being teased by other children. She joins Norm and Max to the metkayina clan. And she’s just this badass with an ikran that was theorized by others to be the spawn of The great leonopteryx that Jake had tamed once. And Ao’nung is flabbergasted by this pretty na’vi riding such a dangerous animal? When the battle happens, she goes ham on the RDA and SAVES NETEYAM BC GDI LEAVE MY BOY ALONE and when they return theres a whole celebration and reader finally relaxes and shes been surrounded by curious na’vis alike bc phew baddie ‼️💅🏻 and ao’nung is such a simp tryna talk to her and rizz her up and it’s just ao’nung pining over her ackk
Destined for Might and Him
Ao’nung x Tsu’tey’s daughter!reader [Word Count: 3.1k]
🤷♀️uploading this after 123456789 years of draft!! Enjoy reading another rubbish fic😚💕
Warnings: mentions of death, spoilers
Jake has made countless mistakes since he joined the Omatikaya for his mission. Tsu’tey had never approved of him, until he actually saw him. He was betrothed to Sylwanin first, then came the humans, taking her away from his arms, Neytiri being the next suitable partner for him. As if there was a curse following him, a demon swooped Neytiri from him, though they were not that subtle. He has never seen Neytiri the way he looked at her older sister though.
Third time’s the charm, right?
In Tsu’tey’s case, it is. Being the next olo’eyktan meant he would be interacting with the entire clan, making sure that they felt safe even before his rule, heavily dedicating himself to making the hometree the most secure and comfortable place for their people. That’s where he met your mother, the forbidden fruit he’s always afraid to touch, only to see. He did not think it was right to look at another woman when he was promised to another man’s daughter. He was afraid that she would be too dainty for him to pursue.
Only to see, he said.
The third time he planned to mate with a woman was in the middle of the conflict. Right after he learned about Jake and Neytiri’s mating, he stormed off, not without giving Jake a good beating of course. It is when he actually had the chance to follow his heart, free of expectations. He soon learned that she too, was in love with him since he passed his iknimaya, hiding it from the rest of the clan as soon as she realized that she could not have him. Not without betraying the daughter of the olo’eyktan. So she comforted him, became friends with him instead. With his pride broken, he took everything that he thought would put his pieces back to being worthy of a warrior. Eywa, did it feel good to follow his heart and tell your mother how he really felt. So that’s why Sylwanin used to talk of mating as if it was the most beautiful thing in the world.
Somehow as he reminisced, he has really begun to see himself growing older with your mother. So, he set himself a new goal. To protect his love, and his people. Neytiri did not matter to him that much anymore, having moved on from the ghost of the past, accepting Jake Sully as his brother once again, deciding to fight against the sky demons with dreamwalkers whom Eywa have shown promise in.
What he did not expect was you. So imagine his surprise when he came home, your mother guiding his hands on her torso, telling him, Think you can handle one more, ma tsu’tey?
And so, the war came. Battles were won, people were lost. Including the mightiest warrior your mother has ever known. Your father, too young to be taken by Eywa, but alas. It was time for him to embrace the great mother’s comforting presence. He thought it was a shame it would take him years before he actually gets the chance to clutch you in his arms. He’s long entrusted you to his brother though. He made sure Jake promises him to look after you and your mother after all.
A beautiful young na’vi, born into war, just a few months before Jake Sully’s first son was born. You were then named, (y/n) te Rongloa Yenateu’ite. You were a carbon copy of your father, your mother actually exclaimed Tsu’tey’s name when she saw you having the eyes and seemingly permanent daring look your father had. You never really knew your father. Your mother would speak highly of him every night, stories and songs written by her, dedicated with her love for her long lost love. You would see her casting a longing gaze at the walls of your tent whenever she braids your hair, telling you of her and her past love’s nightly escapades when the people would head to their tents to sleep. Amazement and sheer pride written on your face when hearing of your father.
That’s when your mother would sigh audibly, completely defeated that you would always be a daddy’s daughter even without meeting him.
It has been a few weeks since your adoptive family moved to Awa’atlu to seek uturu. Your mother has long passed away, developing a sickness a few years ago. Life in the waters for them was not easy, having new responsibilities and things to work on, especially the breathing.
You were the seventh Toruk Makto, for Eywa’s sake.
Your iknimaya was going perfectly, along with Neteyam. Neteyam proved himself to be a mighty warrior, having wrestled with one of the toughest-looking ikran in the rookery. Kiri showed that she had the strongest connection to Eywa when she ‘befriended’ an ikran at a very young age, earning the title of tsakarem. You, on the other hand, basically confirmed the undeniability that you were Tsu’tey te Rongloa Ateyitan’s daughter, after an unusual occurrence in the ikran rookery. The “most dangerous iknimaya”, as Mo’at would say. As soon as Txop’alei sealed his bond with his ikran, as you stepped through the narrow path, a large ikran– No, a Toruk towered over the ikran rookery, making all of you yell in surprise followed by hisses from Neytiri behind you, and screeches from ikran fleeing away.
Your heart skipped a beat when you crossed gazes with the Toruk, stepping forward cautiously as its vibrant orange reflected on your yellow eyes, examining its slightly emerald green tinges on its wings. Soon enough, you were greeted with a threatening roar, making you gulp as soon as you realized that you were being chosen. Wrestling with an ikran is one thing, but with the great leonopteryx? It’s like a death sentence. Maybe it’s your mom or dad calling for you through Eywa, but would the warrior side of you really give up this thrilling opportunity?
Xi’di. That’s what you named your Toruk. Neytiri says it looked familiar. She thinks it’s a child of her mate’s Toruk. Mo’at says it’s your fathers gift to you from the other side when she pointed out how similar the green tinges match your father’s ikran colors.
You were more than happy to get to know your friend, Xi’di, through sneaking out and having late night flights. It wasn’t long before you were exposed to war, with Jake asking you to spot demon machines when the stars multiplied in the skies, together with his sons Neteyam and Lo’ak, brothers you would consider them as.
“Stop the useless yammering and out with it,” you spoke, jutting your chin upwards to emphasize that you were a greater warrior than he is.
“I saw your ikran,” Aonung inhaled deeply, petting the ilu swimming around the two of you, “it is bigger than the others” he pointed out, his incorrectness making you roll your eyes. You thought it was pathetic that he would attempt to hold a conversation with you after participating with yet again another standoff with your brothers. Your ears flickered slightly at the sound of celebrations around you, children laughing as they danced around.
You huffed at his curious glance, “It is a Toruk,” you smiled wickedly at his reaction, “Surprised that a girl smaller than you is a better warrior?” He scoffed at you, a mocking smile written on his face as he changed the subject back to something related to breathing.
The Metkayina chief’s son was not as who you expected him to be. He was arrogant, condescending, the complete opposite of what Neteyam was like, as the former olo’eyktan’s son.
“You wish,” he smirked, remembering how you checked him out earlier in the day as he raised the nets, his toned arms making your heart gallop. “Metkayina men are known for having mighty arms,” he boasted, too absorbed with himself that he somehow missed how you bashfully avoided eye contact for a second, a blush overtaking your cheeks as he continued on and on about what he has achieved, and his goals to be realized before and after he becomes olo’eyktan.
Regardless of the boastful and proud demeanor, Ao’nung lives up to his status though, having the toughest feats than the men his age, hunting the most, sparring the best, donning the most pleasing face in the clan and all, not that you would admit that to his face.
You remembered the faint voice of your father echoing from the tree of souls, telling that he might not be able to handle it if a pompous na’vi were to win your heart, you were Tsu’tey’s daughter for Eywa’s sake. Nobody would be worthy of you if he was actually there to guard you from presumptuous young men. So, you heed your father’s vivid wishes, promising yourself that you would be in your most sound and logical self when it comes to matters like this. Jake would always nod at you with pride when he hovers to size up your suitors, as soon as he witnesses you reject potential mates.
No wonder he and your biological father grew on each other.
You were not keen on migrating to another clan, only knowing the forest since you were born. You were angry. Furious, that the sky demons were responsible for your family's pain. You would never hold that against your adoptive father though. You loved him more than anything in the world, together with your half na'vi brothers and sisters, but you could not give up the forest. And so, you held your ground and decided to stay with the Omatikaya people.
Since the Sully's arrived in Awa'atlu, your siblings have received nothing but a flurry of insults and looks of disgust from most of the village people. Especially from the chief's son.
As the eldest sister, you felt responsible for making your brothers and sisters feel safe. Back in the forest, you would glare at every stupid boy who would dare sneak up on your sister and call her a freak, you would cast the most frightening look on your face when people would point at your youngest brother. But the most important of all, you would smile the sweetest directed at your younger siblings.
So when you heard of Kiri's situation from Norm, you immediately called upon Xi'di and braved the waters to come to where your family was. Horns and spears were let out when the Metkayina guards caught sight of a large beast coming upon their island, terrified yells from people left and right were heard, except for Lo'ak who let out a laugh of disbelief when he laid his eyes on the majestic Toruk. The colors were oh-so familiar, clad in a saddle that screamed Omatikaya, a dangling string of beads around its neck, the diversity of materials that came from none other than him.
A loud roar resonated within Awa'atlu, startling Neytiri who was busy tending to Kiri. She frowned at the thought of you, thinking that she was imagining things.
"Did you hear that Ma'itan?" Her question was answered soon enough when she noticed him running towards the crowd outside and exclaimed, "Sister, you have come!"
And there it was.
Ao'nung almost snapped his neck at how fast it turned when he caught you in his peripherals. His eyes almost bulged out of its sockets at how fast it widened when you turned your eyepiece upwards as you broke the bond with Xi'di.
"My mighty warrior! It has been too long baby brother," you slung your arms around Neteyam's frame, telling him how much he's grown in just a few months. Gladness and worry was written on your face when he brought up Kiri's situation, "You mean she had a seizure underwater ?!"
Ao'nung noticed how your waterline easily filled up with tears waiting to be shed when you approached the marui where Kiri was currently being taken care of.
What made his feelings definite was the brief eye contact with him that you shared though.
"Thank you, great mother! Thank you!"
You wailed with your family, hugging each other where Neteyam was lying down, grateful that your family has been once again blessed by Eywa. The sky people had wrought destruction in just a matter of a few weeks since your arrival in Awa'atlu after you decided to stay until you have reassured Kiri's well-being.
You were feeling beyond terrified at what had just occurred. You saw your brothers and sisters getting chased by the demon machineries, three of them tied on the huge ship that drove on the waters, spurring the darkness inside you as you fought and fought and fought until you have ensured that they were all safe.
Your brother, Neteyam.
The brother that you have known the longest, shot near where his heart lies, sealing RDA's fate when you saw your brother wheezing on a rock, who wanted nothing but to come home. You were soon enough blinded by rage, together with Neytiri who channeled her anger to retrieve her daughters who were left on the ship.
Everything was a blur that night. Guns and armies thrown left and right, ships exploding, taking hundreds of lives, both na’vi and human. You didn’t think you could have handled it well without the guidance of your father. You felt rage and hurt. Seeing your brother writhe in pain, shivering in the numbing coldness of the water raging against the rocks, you felt like you have just had your heart thrown away.
Your childhood friend Spider, getting sliced across his chest. Your mother, completely having her judgment clouded over her dying son, her daughters, desperate to be freed from the arms of a demon who somehow took pleasure in making your father's life null.
Then it was all submerged in the harsh waters.
You cried out for your companion and rode your Toruk, circling around the sinking demon ship, tears continuously flowing in frustration.
Where was everyone?
You swore you almost lost your mind, but then you remembered.
They were Omatikaya. They will survive.
So, you swallowed the impending grief. You forced yourself to think clearly through the bond, Xi’di responding with the loudest roar it could muster, and swooped down towards the direction of the rocks where you Neteyam laid.
At the sight of Neteyam, you cried.
It was that day when Ao'nung first saw you cry in Neteyam's arms, who was also sniffling at the thought of almost dying and missing out on his siblings' lives. He ruffled Tsireya's hair as she cried in relief, thankful that his sister was also safe.
The people cried. The people mourned. The people had their reunion with their families.
Sully’s stick together. And stick together, you did.
All of you were safe.
“You okay, kid?” Jake mumbled against the top of your head, embracing you and Neteyam as soon as he climbed up the shores, to which you responded by sobbing and hugging him tight. Neytiri had Neteyam against her chest, kissing his forehead, thanking the great mother all over again.
You turned your heads at the sound of water splashing once more, revealing Spider.
“Monkey boy!” Kiri exclaimed, smiling at the sight of her friend, pressing a hand against his chest. You untangled yourself from your father, fussing over Tuk and Neteyam as you see Lo’ak and Spider get squished against your father’s chest.
As you pressed your lips against Tuk’s forehead, you somehow met Ao’nung’s gaze, casting a soft smile at him as you observed him rubbing Tsireya’s shoulder in affection as she cried in his arms, completely being washed over with relief and mostly just overstimulated from the war you had just gone through.
And soon enough, it was time for a celebration of their victory against the sky people.
Fires were started, wood were piled up on one another, the children holding hands together as they sing praises to the great mother, celebrating the victory of their people, ever grateful for the safety of who remained, and prayed for the guidance of Eywa to help those who were lost, to come home to her warm embrace.
Ao’nung fixed the headdress he was donning, a symbol of his status, as he sat beside his sister, scanning his gaze amongst the sea of his people.
And then there was you.
Your eyes were piercing as you held your gaze, the brutal reality of his feelings slowly sinking in as you tucked one of your freshly braided hair, his eyes slowly trailing over the accessories you saved for occasions like this.
Did you have different sets of necklaces for ceremonies?
Were they of rare materials? Because he has never seen a woman this beautiful, he wondered.
He was so struck with your fierceness he did not notice that he was the only one left on the mats laid out on the high platform that was planted on the sand for celebrations. He placed a hand against his left knee, slowly rising from his spot to walk towards you, perhaps ask for a dance?
You were speaking to him as soon as he stopped walking, him blurting out a question he’s been meaning to ask, only to be responded with a huge hit to his ego.
“Surprised that a girl smaller than you is a better warrior?”
He never let people step on his pride.
Not even his sister whom he closetedly doted on, completely overtaken by the idea that ‘he’s a man, so he should not be seen as vulnerable’. He soon learned that that shouldn’t be the case though.
With you to pursue? He’s going to relearn everything, it seems.
You were different.
But perhaps those differences would be the factors to taking him a step closer to you.
To a future where you and him embracing under the starry skies as constellations meld together as one during the darkest of the nights, would be a normal occurrence between the two of you.
That, you did.
Months of building himself up in your eyes, and you finally learned to see him as he hoped you would.
“Good, because I see you too,” you remember him saying those exact words after you practically swept him off his feet, his pretentious demeanor once again taking over to spare him of your teasing, not that it went by unnoticed.
You knew him too well.
So when he promised to take care of you, you knew he would.
Just like when he promised to not spoil his first son to the point that he’d grow up like him, you knew he’d end up eating his words.
You knew him, after all.
You see him, in both light and darkness, you see Ao’nung.

Scorching Heat
Paring: Neteyam x Y/n (Reader)
Status/Type: Oneshot
Summary: Y/n usually insures she is away from home for ‘training’ whenever her heat cycle starts. She hates feeling needy, and never wants to burden her mate, Neteyam. What will happen when Ewya decides to bring her heat early this time. How will Y/n react?
Word Count: 2.1k
Warnings: NSFW, MDNI (Minors STAY AWAY!!), Public/Exhibition (Someone sees Y/n during her heat), Dirty talk, Breeding (mentioned once), Fingering (f-receiving), dumbification, tiny bit of possessiveness and Ao’nung being a pervert. All characters are AGED-UP (19-20’s years).
__________________________________________
“Neteyam” Y/n whines, nuzzling her face into the mat she slept upon, she clutches her lower abdomen in pain. It felt hot, way to hot for what it should have been.
Ever since Neteyam had left their shared Marui for a his regular morning hunt with his Jake and Lo’ak, Y/n has been in agony. Her stomach lurched with butterflies as a unfamiliar heat took over her entire being.
She was sweating profusely, her breaths coming out in pants as she curled up in a fetal position. She couldn’t seem to figure out what had lead to her feeling this…sick?
Was it the clams she shared with Tsireya last night? Was it the yovo fruit she ate immediately after? Did those two different type of food not complainant each other like she had thought it’s had?
Y/n lets out a groan, feeling her stomach flutter, her eyes squeezed shut as she didn’t bother wiping the sweat off her face, she even couldn’t think straight. Her thoughts were muddled together and all she would focus on was the biting heat between her legs.
“Y/n?” A tiny voice calls peeking into the Marui.
Y/n almost missed it, it sounded so distant to her. As if her head were to be submerged under water. She opens her eyes slowly, her vision blurry with tears. She tries to respond back but a another pained whine escapes her lips as she claws at her stomach.
Tsireya gasps, seeing her best friend in this state. She rushes to her side looking her over, her cool hand laying on top of Y/n’s forehead, as she hisses at the cool temperature.
“Y/n , can you hear me? You’re burning up!” She says alarmed again, feeling the heat radiate off her.
Assessing her sweaty skin and pants that racked her friends body she realizes this was severe. Y/n was shivering as if she were cold, but she was sweating from how hot she felt internally. Y/n groans in response unable to form words.
“Dear Eywa” Tsireya whispers realizing what this had to be.
It was her heat.
Tsireya counts the days mentally to the last time Y/N had excused herself for a couple days worth of ‘training’. The time Y/n would spend far away from the safety of the village to wait out her heat. Training was the excuse she used to hide herself away from everyone, even her mate during her heat cycles. It wasn’t an uncommon practice, many other Na’vi females who didn’t want to burden their mates did the same.
Y/n loved her independence. Spending her heats alone was something she had argued with Neteyam over plenty of times. She just didn’t see the appeal of sucking her mate dry for her cycles, every month. Neteyam only allowed it because he would do the same, going far and wide to wait out his ruts in fear of hurting Y/n.
Thus leading to Y/n meticulously tracking all of her heats, planning for her excursions to the T. Planning and prepping ahead of time so she wouldn’t have to rush anything as she slotted enough time alone, out in the wilderness.
But this heat, it came unexpectedly. According to Tsireya’s calculations, Y/n was one week early. Which has never happened before.
“I-I’ll call mother!” She says standing up. Y/n gasps, she didn’t need the Tsahik, she didn’t need her friend. She just wanted Neteyam, she needed her mate.
“Ne-t-” she whispers, her voice shaky. Tsireya pauses, her shoulders tense.
“But Y/n-”
“Neteyam!!!!” She hisses loudly, sounding like a struggled moan.
She didn’t have time to feel embarrassed. She felt a deep itch with him her, an itch she knew her mate could fix. Tsireya flushes red at her friends state nodding.
She quickly leaves Y/n’s Marui heading to her own. She had a device that Lo’ak had given both her and Y/n in case of emergencies. She intended on calling Neteyam using her device.
~~~~
Ao’nung, who was walking towards Y/n’s Marui to pull her out for a swim stops the moment a scent fills his nostrils. He feels his irises dilate as he deeply inhaled the scent greedily.
He realized the scent was too delicious to ignore, he had to find out where it was coming from. He needed a taste. Coincidentally the scent leads him to Y/n’s Marui. The very girl he was looking for.
He walks in, holding back the growl that threatens to break through. The scent was so thick in the marui it drove him insane.
“Y/-Y/n?” he croaks, clutching the tiny bit of sanity he had in him. He looks her over, his best friend who he loved so dearly. He saw how she was face first into her mat, her bottom in the air as her back arches. She whines loudly hearing a voice, a voice that made her believe it was her mate.
“Neteyam” she breaths out lowly. The burning sensation seemed to intensify with arousal as she realized Neteyam had arrived to help her with her heat. Gasping she slowly rubs herself whist humping into the mat, moans leaving her mouth shamelessly.
She was beyond herself, she had lost herself to her heat. All she wanted now was a release, and to be taken care of. Ao’nung covers his nose, effectively muffling his whines of excitement. The position itself along with her grinding seem to send her scent off in waves, each wave getting stronger and stronger.
He felt his own erection painfully press against his loincloth. He wouldn’t be surprised if he came right then and there watching his friend hump herself to a climax she couldn’t reach. His other free hand reaches down to grab his thick hard cock through his loincloth, squeezing his member in attempt to relief himself of the pain.
“It’s Ao’nung” he says, loudly, still palming his cock to her moans. Each time her voice reaches a high note, he felt himself get that much closer to his own climax. He groans at the sight.
Y/N pants wildly, a part of her wondering why her mate hadn’t mounted her yet. She was in the perfect position to be taken advantage of, she presented herself in such way so Neteyam could fuck her to oblivion. She gently reaches behind in her hunched state, tugging her already soaked loincloth to the side. Exposing her treasure to the cool, but humid air.
The sight of her soaked pussy sent Ao’nung for a loop. His eyes roll back, his breathing is laboured as all he can see is how wet she is. How ready her pussy is for a cock. He saw how it glistened, how it twitched around nothing. Ao’nung groans loudly, biting his lips to contain his growls.
“F-fuckkk-”
Hearing him say something she is again clouded. She couldn’t seem to grasp Ao’nungs desperate attempt to tell her he was not Neteyam. Feeling his limit come closer and closer Ao’nung finally uncovers his nose. He begins to walk deeper into the marui, towards Y/n when he hears yells in the distance.
His ears twitch at the sound of Neteyam’s voice, which seem to snap him out of his trance. Taking one last deep inhale of her scent, Ao’nung takes a careful step back to create some distance. He lets go of his cock just as Neteyam bursts in through the entrance.
His eyes immediately land on his mate, who was still face first into the mat, revealing her glistening folds between her legs. Her essence ran down her legs, adding more delicious aroma into the air. Neteyam feels her need, smells her need. He was able to smell it a good few feet from the marui. His pupils dilated, his nose inhaling deeply to memorize the scent.
Realizing he’s not alone he turns to Ao’nung, his glare deadly. He bares his fangs and hisses harshly. Neteyam takes a step forward, pure rage overcoming his body. Ao’nung looks down, his ears flattening against his head.
“Ao’nung. Out, NOW!!” he says sternly, his chest rumbling with a threatening growl.
He tried his best to stay composed, for his sake as well as his mate. He was also aware that his father and Lo’ak were close behind him when he had rushed home. He didn’t want to create a bigger scene.
Y/n on the other hand, let out an unintentional mewl at the rough sound of his voice, still not being able to figure out who stood by the entrance.
Her tears of frustration clouded her vision, but she was able to pick up Neteyam’s scent. Her mates scent, which only caused her to moan pathetically. Desperately trying to gain his attention.
Ao’nung didn’t need to be told twice, he quickly ducks out of the Marui, his hands covering his still prominent bulge. He would have to deal with that privately, as he marches towards his marui. As soon as he is out, Neteyam rushes to Y/n’s side.
Her scent alone drove him insane, he felt his inner self want to drill into her at that very moment as his eyes lingered over her sopping pussy. Waiting to be filled. She looked to be so wet that he could have easily mounted her right away if her wanted to. But the logical part of him took over, at least for now.
“Yawne, shhhh, shhhhh. Are you alright? Should I fetch you some water?” He whispers, couching down beside her.
He gently brushes the hair from her face which caused her body to jolt wildly upon contact. The entire time Y/n had been edging herself, the mere touch of Neteyam’s fingers on her body sent over over the edge as her body trembled under his touch.
“Fu- I’m-“ Y/n couldn’t finish her sentence as her whole body convulsed under her much needed orgasm. Neteyam’s eyes widen, admiring the way her pussy twitched and clenched with the delicious aftershocks of the orgasm. Neteyam pulls her into his arms cooing softly, he cups her face into his palm.
“Oh babygirl, do you want me to help you with your heat baby? It must feel so painful….”
After the initial orgasm, Y/n had a few moments of clarity, registering Neteyam’s face. She noticed how dilated his irises were, how his breaths hitched and how his fingers danced around her hips enticingly. As if waiting for her to give him permission.
“Neteyam” Y/n whispers, her eyes still watery from the many tears she had already shed.
“I never want to bother you with my heat-“ Neteyam visibly frowns “-which is why I disappear from time to time…..but now-“ Y/n starts feeling the itch deep within her flare up again. More intense than before.
“-It’s….so painful……I need you to fuck me.” Y/n gasps. Neteyam smirks, his free hand trailing down. His fingers working on untying the soaked, useless lioncloth and tossing it aside. Neteyam leans his face closer to her, relishing the look of pure lust clouding her eyes.
“Oh baby girl, I’ll fuck you alright. I’ll make you feel so good you won’t forget the shape of my cock deep in your pussy” Neteyam growls, his fangs grazing over her neck sending shivers down her spine. His fingers spread her swollen wet folds, growling at the feeling of her slickness.
“So wet baby, all for me?” He murmurs quietly, taking in her scent.
“Hmmm”
Y/n’s eyes roll back, feeling two digits enter her pussy gently. The sting and stretch of the two fingers caused her body to twitch out of pleasure. It felt so good, so right.
“You let Ao’nung see this. See the pussy that belongs to me” Neteyam growls, his fingers pumping out of her slowly, but forcefully. Y/n moans in response. She hadn’t known if Ao’nung was here, she also didn’t know what Neteyam was talking about. But she opted to agree with him, to ensure he didn’t stop his movements by any means.
“I’ll fuck you just right baby, I’ll fuck you so hard you’ll be filled with my cum. I want Ao’nung to watch as MY cum drips down your legs” Neteyam whispers, curling his fingers just right.
Y/n whimpers at the sensation.
“Then do it—“ she chokes out.
“-Breed me until I’m plump with your child” Y/n mumbles deliriously.
She tries catching her breath, her heart beating wildly at the thought. Neteyam smirks wide at her plea. Feeling whatever logical part of him shatter at her words, he allowed her heat to fully engulf all of his senses. He was ready to give it his all, no holding back. He was going to fuck her till she forgot her name, he’d make sure of that.
“Anything for my baby girl”
prompt #15 - slow dancing with soft smiles
you and ao'nung had been mates for 13 years now. you two have three kids at this point. a 12-year-old daughter, a 10-year-old son, a 7-year-old daughter, and a 3-year-old son. since becoming an olo'eyktan and a tsahik, life has just been busy. though, you two have been savoring each moment whenever you two get the time. ao'nung never lost his touch in making you feel like a teenager whenever he gets. the honeymoon phase never left and just enhances as the years passed by.
instances of this are when you two have date nights under the moonlight. your kids would stay with their grandparents during your date nights. they don't complain though because they loved staying with their grandpa tonowari and grandma ronal.
their big softy of a grandpa would always take them out and teach them what he had taught his son back when ao'nung was their age while ronal had become softer than she was when the sully's came to their clan. her grandkids really brought out the teddy bear that was buried deep in her.
during this particular date night, he took you to your special spot where you two had your very first-ever date. the usual routine of date nights where you two would catch up with everything that had happened, talk about future plans that involved your positions as leaders, and you two would talk about your kids and what achievements they had achieved during their training respectively.
but for now, it's just you and ao'nung tonight.
ao'nung's arm wrapped around your waist while the other held your left hand, your head laying on his chest while your right arm draped over his shoulder. he sang his songcord as you two slow danced under the moonlight. you looked at him, a smile dancing on your face while ao'nung grins while he sang.
times like this bring you two back way back when. a flash of his younger face with his childish grin appeared in your eyes. your heart would swell up because as he sang even more, age followed him and he just looked more handsome. like aging like fine wine as the sky people would say.
more tattoos appeared on his body as his muscles become more prominent. his face became more structured as his hands grew more callous. and yet, this strong metyakina olo'eyktan grows putty and soft with you in his arms. the swaying of your body as his voice goes with the wind, it's what keeps his mind at bay. only you can make him like this.
only his mate can make him dance and have him smile like an idiot in love.
Paywll
anon's request: Can you do Metkayina family x human reader? The reader is an expert at underwater gardening, thats all! Thank you! Sorry, I forgot to mention: Could they be earth water plants? like seaweed, lily's, all the like? thank you!
---------------
Paywll hums a soft tune as she tends to her plants. In a small, naturally made pond was found by paywll when she was exploring the island of the metkayina clan. What was supposed to be a study of plant adaptation turned into something more. It became a second home to her, new found family among the na’vi. Truly it is amazing. Even more now that she can do what she always wanted to do.
Preserve and regrow endangered plants. To be more specific, the last remaining Earth plants. They are very delicate and hard to cultivate while meeting their needed requirements to survive in a whole new environment.
Paywll used the little pond she found to start her plant cultivation. Starting small and seeing how it can handle a small portion of the ecosystem. Placing water lilies, lily pads, and azolla filiculoides. She plans to add more, to save what is left of Earth and its precious plants. So far, she is happy to see how well her plants are growing. Even better, they are in need of changing from a small pond, to something bigger.
“Ok, be very careful ao’nung, these plants are very fragile. Let rotxo help you” paywll gently instructs the young na’vi. Ao’nung grins happily as he lifts a large solid bowl above his head.
“I got this paywll, you just lead the way” he says. Beside him was his sister, tsireya who also holds a large bowl with the help of rotxo.
“Alright, we have to move quickly,” paywll says and begins to walk a bit fast. The pond where she shelters the Earth plants has quite a distance from the nearest beach. When arriving at the village, many people knew the protocol as they made way for her and the children. None daring to get in their way.
At the beach, Ronal awaits them with tools at hand.
They will have to move quickly for it to work.
“Mother! Time to begin” tsireya calls out to Ronal. Nodding, ronal pulls out her thin web like net. Ao’nung and tsireya lower the bows for paywll to do the next part. Taking the net from Ronal, she begins to instruct.
“Alright, for this part it may seem easy, but it's detrimental for the plant's life cycle” paywll begins to explain. Everyone nodded as they were ready to follow her instructions.
Grabbing the thin net, paywll places it on the surface of the water.
“Tsireya, the water lilies” she calls out to.
Nodding, tsireya takes out the water lilies from the large bowl with great care, being mindful to not touch the root. Slowly she puts the flowers on top of the net, letting it float. Ao’nung does the same with the azolla filiculoides. Roxto surrounded the plants with the lily pads while not over passing the net limits. Ronal goes under water to add a base at the bottom of the net. Adding three long ropes made with the same material as the net. She places one under a rock, the second gently tied to a coral base, and the third to a big shel. All for the net to not move and not disrupting the plants.
“What will this do paywll?” roxto asks.
“With the shallow waters, the plants will recognize its areas and adjust. It was familiar with the pond so we moved it to a similar area. This will also help the plants to adapt and grow” paywll happily explains.
“How long will it take to adapt?” tsireya was the second to ask as she admires the pretty plants.
“Depends on them. Can take days, or weeks. So, to know, I will have to watch over them and see if there is a difference. If they grow, then its working” paywll explains further.
Ronal took a liking to the water lilies, “if they do grow, what then?” she asks.
“We will gently cut some roots and separate them. Overcrowding can be bad, so when the time comes, we will place a new batch somewhere else”
Tsireya was in awe at the plan, already imagining what the shores will look like. Full of amazing alien plants, flowers and who knows what else.
“Now that the pond is clear, I can grow more different plants. Do the same as these, grow, transfer, cultivate, repeat” the human plans out. However the next batch of plants will be tricky, since they won't be in the pond for the process.
“What other plants do you wish to grow?”
“These are beautiful” ronal compliments. She observes the plants that were in the pond, small leaves that paywll called ‘Caulerpa’. Ronal watches as her friend slowly starts to dig out the roots of the said plant into the large bowl.
“They will become more beautiful once I put these on the sand bed,” paywll says as she carefully transfers the plant. Just like before, they make quick haste to the ocean shore. Ronal helping paywll by guiding her to the desired area to place the plant.
Paywll gently holds down the plants so as to not float or sway away underwater.
Her lilies, pads, and other plants were adjusting so well to their new ecosystem that it made her want to grow more of the endangered plants.
“Here we are” ronal signs.
Nodding, paywll places the Caulerpa seaweed at the pre-dugged spot. Gently placing down the roots and covering it with sand and some shells in case it rises up. Ronal makes circular rotation around paywll incase a curious fish wants to intervene.
Paywll gives a thumbs up, signaling its all set. Ronal grabs her friend by the waist and starts to swim up. Once they reached the surface, they smile in glee together. It seems a lot to grow plants but ronal enjoys every bit of it. Especially if it gets her to spend more time with pawll and see in her view, how precious these foreign plants are to her.
It was night, the family all gathered in their home, paywll being their honored guest. They all sit and enjoy the much earned food ronal glady made. Another hard day's world for everyone.
“Paywll, how many do you plan to grow? At this point, it's starting to look like a large underwater garden” ao’nung says. Ronal hisses at him, tonowari slightly glaring at his son. Paywll just giggled at his words.
“As many as I can. These plants mean a lot to me. I dont want these plants to be extinct or endangered. There are so many types you have yet to see ao’nung. Many you might like too. I couldnt save what little remains of nature back on my planet but, fortunately I did manage to save a little bit of these darlings. And trust me, what you see is nothing so what else I have yet to plant” paywll answers.
Ronal nods in approval. Placing her hand on her friends back, she speaks, “it our shores will be a garden, then so be it”
“It might even attract more fish or other creatures,” tsireya says, seeing many possibilities.
“Once the Macrocytosis start to grow a bit big, you are going to love the types of corals I plan to farm” paywll says.
Tonowari hears this, his ears twitching a bit, “corals you say? I look forward to those”.
Paywll chuckles, “you might like the sun croal, they are very colorful and interesting shapes”.
He nods, “I would gladly assist you in it”
Paywll nods as well. Truly, she is lucky to have the support of the reef na’vi. Allowing her to place the Earth’s sea plants into their territory. Really, even from the beginning of befriending them. But she is grateful, extremely grateful. With their support and willing to have foreign plants into their native ecosystem, paywll does not plan to break any cycle, only to improve and adapt. And honestly, paywll would mind having an underwater garden as ao’nung mentioned. It will be like an underwater oasis for the plants, to never be extinct and only thrive as they always should have.
Aaaaaaaaand that is it for this one! Sorry for no sneak peek for this fic, it was pretty short, but sweet! Hope you all liked it! Until next time! See ya!
♡- Let Me Know [III]
♡-Let Me Know Masterlist
After the incidents you were able to take your time and focus on yourself for a while. Letting your body heal from the injuries you suffered along with your mind from all of the past trauma you faced, it was enjoyable truly, especially with the support you had.
Overtime you grew closer and closer with each and every other Sully member. Cooking and cleaning along with Neytiri as you and your siblings heard the past stories of Jake and his time before and after becoming na’vi. His stories were amusing, and even Riti had tagged along with you a couple of times and she never seized to gasp exasperatedly or scream from shock. It would never fail to make everyone else laugh as you were quick to shush her as if you were her mother.
But of course, the more time you spent with her you would spend alongside her brother. Practically doing everything together and leaving the Sully family early to go along with the two and walk them home as you and A’tan shared your days before saying goodbyes and leaving.
Eventually as you were all together as a group you watched the sunset as you listened to everyone giving their stories or funny jokes to one another. Soon Riti yawned and began to rub her eyes before making her way over to you and cuddled into your chest.
“Someone’s sleepy, no?” You teased, embracing her before picking her up slightly and keeping her in your chest. Rubbing her back softly as you listened to her little hums as you paid your attention back to the others before your sister spoke.
“You’re practically her mother, the two of you are so cute. It’s as if she has a closer relationship with you than A’tan.” She joked, laughing as a couple others did too, A’tan included. You only shook your head and giggled softly, careful to not stifle Riti.
Ao’nung was quick to add on how right she was about her point, even mentioning the position the two of you were in now. You only shooed him off and confessed the fact that it was obvious you cared for her, as you and A’tan were close so it was practically destined for you two to bond.
“Everyone in the clan knows it already, they all trust me with their children more than anyone else. It’s obvious enough that I also want to be a mother when I’m of age so.” You added straining out the last part before feeling Riti pick her head up and squish your cheeks before putting her head back on your chest.
You laughed softly at her before kissing her head as she giggled also. You turned your head quickly to look up at Neteyam, who sat beside his sister and Roxto with a smile on his face, which soon changed as you felt a hand brush across your cheek and rest on your shoulder.
“You’d make a wonderful mother.” You heard A’tan spoke from your side, you turned to see his hand on you with a large smile plastered on his face. You smiled back at him and thanked him before he moved his hand away.
As you felt Riti begin to doze off in your arms and the sun had finally come down as the colors drained from the sky, and A’tan was quick to take her. You reached up for her out of instinct before standing up and accompanying the two as you waved back to the group.
“I’m going to walk them back, I’ll be back, okay? Please be nice and don’t do anything that’ll make me upset.” You said with a smile, watching everyone wave back to you except for Neteyam, who only looked off to the side with an upset expression on his face.
You only noted it and looked off to the side with a confused expression before turning your attention back to Riti and A’tan before walking off. You thought to yourself what could’ve made him upset, or more specifically at you, especially to the point where he didn’t even feel the need to wave back to you as you mentioned your departure.
As you began to walk alongside with A’tan you still couldn’t help but think of what was wrong. Maybe you were overthinking it or maybe he didn’t hear you, whatever it was hurt you though. It felt as if your head was splitting in two as you tried to make more solutions to calm yourself. You sighed heavily before turning your head off to the sea before back to A’tan before he spoke.
“What’s on your mind? You’re so out of it you aren’t walking straight.” He said, pointing to your form slightly before placing the hand back on Riti as support, you bit your bottom lip anxiously before focusing and speaking to him.
“Neteyam” you spoke, putting your head down as you listened to him hum in approval. There was a little silence between the two of you, you wanted to say something, but you couldn’t. It felt slightly disrespectful to the relationship you and Neteyam shared, whatever it was.
“I can tell he likes you; he’s probably upset over not being able to communicate it out.” He said, nudging your shoulder softly as you crossed your arm and kept your head down. Slightly surprised by him being able to tell Neteyam’s feelings towards you, but overall, he was bold and never tried to hide it.
“We did communicate, he told me he likes me… but right now I don’t know what he’s upset at me for.” You said, guilt consuming you as you felt your lip quiver slightly as your brows furrowed. You turned to look up at him quickly as he raised a brow at your statement.
“But you didn’t communicate how you felt to him?” He asked, now genuinely concerned for the situation. You only sighed and shook your head, thinking back a couple weeks ago to the moment back in front of your pod. The rush of adrenaline and excitement you felt with him, the nervousness that pushed the two of you to begin with. You heard a disapproving sigh from A’tan before he spoke again.
“Maybe that’s why he’s acting the way he is; he seems like a serious guy. Try talking to him later to see what’s up, he seems understanding enough.” He stated respectfully, nodding to himself and then nudging your side again attempting to cheer you up, you only hummed in response.
As the conversation between the two of you died down you soon arrived to his marui pod, waving your goodbyes and hugging a very sleepy Riti before turning back. You made your way back to the others as you thought to yourself how you would confront the situation and how you would confess to Neteyam. Truly you never expected any of this to get so far in a long period of time, but it hadn’t mattered. If you didn’t fix this problem now you knew it would never go away, only eat you alive out of guilt or grow from mixed emotions.
“Hey guys” you spoke cheerfully, a smile on your face as you saw them warming up by the fire and laughing with one another. They were quick to turn to you and wave and say their hello’s, all except Neteyam of course. You listened to your sister kid around yet again about your nurturing roll to Riti as you helped her walk back even though A’tan was more than available.
You only shoved her slightly with a laugh, saying it was a habit and you’ve done it countless times for everyone else, even Tuk. Even though it hadn’t seemed like it A’tan was your best friend, around your age and you’ve known each other since you were babies, it was common to always be with one another.
As you shared and listened to the insights of your siblings you heard a quick scoff from across them, turning your attention to Neteyam as he rolled his eyes. Your previous confusion had now turned into anger as you watched him, for someone who had just smiled at you before you spoke earlier, he sure knew how to act like an ass.
You thought to yourself for a minute, maybe A’tan was wrong for once. Maybe this wouldn’t be as easy as he implied or maybe Neteyam didn’t want to hear you or your confession, maybe he was just over you. Over the long days and nights that passed where you would prioritize your family and clan over spending time with him, talking with him. You felt your ears flare as they twitched slightly before you huffed, now turning your entire body in his direction.
“What’s your problem?” You asked him now visibly upset, you hadn’t realized it at the moment, but you had cut your sister off. She immediately went silent when she took in your upset reaction, especially when she saw who it was directed towards.
Now everyone’s attention was between the two of you, as you heard Lo’ak whisper softly to your brother you earned another scoff from Neteyam before he laughed at you. Not the laugh that you liked whenever you were with him sharing the small moments you did together, more of a laugh at was mocking you.
“Who said I have a problem with you? Y/n” he said, practically snarling your name as he spoke. You glared at him, gripping your hand into a fist before huffing again and turning your attention back to your sister. Everyone was confused at the small altercation between you two before you changed the topic of discussion asking your sister about something else.
During the entirety of the night, Tuk had crawled into Neteyam’s chest now as you glanced over to see him glaring at you continuously. Before peering over to his brother’s side and whispering something while pointing at you before laughing. You felt your tail sway back and forth behind you brushing the sand out of frustration.
Kiri was the first to leave, taking Tuk with her and walking off in the opposite direction from where you were previously seated back to their marui pod. Your sister had quickly moved you to close in the circle and take Kiri’s spot, as you were now closer to Neteyam, not helping your situation at all.
As you tried to ignore it his laughs and small remarks got louder and louder. He was bold to even do something like this in front of you, especially after spewing what you now convinced yourself was nonsense just two weeks ago. You felt your head throb again as if it was ready to split in two as you played with a small stick in the fire, now zoning out as you thought to yourself.
It hurt, and it hurt bad, no one else had known what had happened between the two of you and you had returned back here after getting your closest friends' advice just for things to turn for the worst. This isn’t what you expected or what you wanted in the slightest, and now you weren’t sure if you wanted to cry or get angry, maybe a mixture of both.
“Y/n!” You heard your brother call your name quickly snapping you out of your thoughts as he shook you slightly, the tears that rested in your eyes quickly rolling down your cheeks. He paused for minute before speaking to you again. “Are you crying? What’s wrong?” He spoke, you quickly wiped your face before shaking your head.
“Got too close to the fire, forgot to blink.” You lied attempting to play it off as a joke, and thankfully he didn’t catch on, only nodding and poking at your face before saying he was heading off and wished everyone a good night along with your sister.
Apparently, you hadn’t even realized it until you perked your head up to take a look of who was left, but Roxto had left a while ago also. Possibly alongside Kiri and Tuk when they left, or alone, who knows. Your ears twitched slightly as you heard Lo’ak suck his teeth before shoving his brothers' shoulder slightly from your side, practically scolding him.
“Talk about it, stop being an asshole right now, it doesn’t look good on you.” He spoke, quick to get up and grab his set of belongings before leaving his brother and coming up to you to say his goodbyes, you only got up slightly to wave to him before taking your original position across from Neteyam, giving the two of you more distance now.
“I don’t bite you know.” He stated flatly, you only scoffed and rolled your eyes at him. Continuing to play with the stick in your hand as you drew in the sand before coming up with a comment towards his attitude.
“No but your attitude does, and it’s annoying. So if you have nothing important to say I’ll be leaving too.” You growled in return, raising the side of your top lip softly as you barred your teeth for a moment, before pressing them into a straight line.
“Don’t act like you don’t know what you’re doing, you can’t possibly think you’re the victim here.” He stated, you perked your head up as your brows furrowed, his arms resting on a log behind him where he laid his elbows back on as his legs were spread.
“Can't know what the problem is if you can’t open your mouth and shut your pride to say it.” You said simply, pointing the stick at him before going back to drawing in the sand, earning a huff from him.
“You want to know my problem? My problem is the fact that you’re able to communicate with everyone else but me. You can talk to your dear A’tan about how you feel or what you want but can’t with me. You can’t even make enough time for me, and till now I still don’t know how you feel. I’m many things y/n but a fool isn’t one of them, so don’t take me as one.” He spoke harshly, you only lowered your head at his words.
Along all of the actions and things that replayed in your mind you were only able to apologize to him over and over. The tears from before now coming back and stinging your eyes before they made their way onto the dry sand before you. Neteyam’s former demeanor had immediately changed, now taking in the nurturing role and coming over to your side.
Attempting to reach out and place his hands on you, which you were quick to swat off, the sound the slap surprising both of you. He was quick to apologize to you as you turned your head away from him, not wanting to look at him. He had confessed his emotions had gotten the best of him and he was jealous of your relationship with A’tan, but more hurt of how much distance there was between the relationship the two of you shared.
He wasn’t wrong honestly, and when you pictured yourself in his place you would’ve been beyond upset. You only listened to his words as he spoke for the most part, you had tried counting the minutes that passed as he spoke and poured everything out, but eventually you lost track.
As his speech came to an end you thought of what to say to him. How to confess how you felt for him deep down that you wanted out for so long, now instead of thinking of what he might like or what’ll make him happy you thought of yourself. What’ll make yourself happy and comfortable to share with him that he would understand as he spoke to you placing a hand on your shoulder, making you turn around swiftly.
“Please, please y/n just say something to me, anything.” He begged as you took in his facial expression, he wore a frown on his face as he spoke. Just then an idea sparked into your mind, you could do it, just not necessarily speak. You motioned for him to follow along with your hands as you snagged his attention.
‘I love you Neteyam, and nothing will ever change how I feel for you, I see you.’ You signed to him, then apologizing for it taking so long for this to happen as you were challenged mentally by everything collapsing on you at once. It seemed he hadn’t heard any of your words and was only focused on what you signed to him, because a small smile crept up on his lips before forming into a large grin as he soon hugged you.
He serenaded you in positive affirmations as he pulled back, speaking of how happy he was to finally see, feel, and hear how you felt for him. Apologizing yet again for his actions and harsh attitude towards you earlier, to which you pardoned and laughed along with him.
Overtime the two of you spent small talk and laughter in your position, looking off to the sea as you yawned. Neteyam peered over at you before taking in your now sleepy face, saying it was best if you two returned back to your homes. If you had more energy, you probably would’ve faught it off, saying no and that you would much rather stay here with him, but you were too tired too, so you eventually obliged.
As you two walked back towards your home you exchanged subtle glances as your hands would brush against one another softly. Soon he crept his hand into yours before entwining them as you now reached the front of your marui pod. You thanked him with a soft hug as you left his hand go before placing a soft kiss to his cheek and smiling at him.
He was quick to grab your hand afterwards and pulling you back in, as his face was just inches away from yours. You felt your face flush out of embarrassment and anxiety before stepping back and wishing him a goodnight before quickly entering your home. He only laughed to himself as he watched you, in all honesty you had prayed to Eywa that he hadn’t seen your flustered state in the dark of night.
As majority of prayers go this one remained unanswered as he had apparently seen it, especially from the glowing freckles on your cheeks that heightened your face for him. He only shook his head as he thought to himself before he turned around to walk in the opposite direction back to his marui pod.
It was late at night, very late as you sneaked around past your family’s pod to go out to sea. Earlier within the day Neteyam had whispered to you to meet him there, and since you had nothing better to do other than sleep you decided to go.
Or maybe the incident from last month th gave you such a thrill you weren’t able to contain yourself. It had replayed in your head for days and you hated the fact that there was no one to truly share it with. You were anxious, but you considered whatever to come worth it. You were able to move entirely freely now as your wounds had healed and your bandages had been removed.
You stood underneath one of the long trees that rested in front of a rock as you waited, thinking to yourself you must’ve been early before hearing rustling and footsteps coming your way. As you picked your head up to see who had come a large smile was plastered on your face when you saw Neteyam.
You had thought it over with yourself over the past week, and although you couldn’t share every exact detail you were able to somewhat talk to your mother about it. The things you felt when you were with Neteyam, or how you would smile so hard your cheeks hurt and felt as if they burned.
You had also mentioned to her everything she taught you to look for when finding love. Saying you felt everything she did and told you, but you were scared of the differences between you and the person who you liked. She only hugged you and reassured you that it would all work out to be, no matter how different we may look, sound, or act we were all one underneath Eywa.
If it was the differences between the two of you that was feared if it wasn’t meant for you to be together Eywa would’ve split your paths by now for sure. If she hadn’t that means it was meant to be, you were destined to find one another and you had every right to be happy.
She even mentioned how you were the oldest and carried so many responsibilities for the family and entire clan as the eldest daughter of the oleyktan. If there was any chance you were happy and free from it all for a while with someone who made you feel special by all means take it, just let her know in advance.
Also let her know what you two will be doing, because she hadn’t wanted to be a grandmother so early, you only laughed at her ending result. Constantly reassuring her you would draw the line there with him until the both of you were older and mentally ready for one, if the conversation would even start.
“Hey, I’ve been missing you all day” he said, walking up to you and sitting beside you. You laughed and shook your head at him, wearing a confused question at his statement.
“We saw each other this morning, have you been swimming around so much that the water has entered your brain now?” You asked, poking him in the head slightly before the two of you burst out in laughter.
It was nice being like this and enjoying one another’s company. It had seemed as if the weight of everything previously had lifted off of your shoulders every time you were with him. You were happy, although several arguments and confusion were raised between the two of you over the span of the month they had been here, you were happy.
If this is what love was or what it’s supposed to be you never wanted to leave it, if anything you didn’t want to feel anything other than love. You had learned a little more about him over the time shared with you two, as he did to you.
“It’s nice being away from everyone, for once in a while.” You spoke, now sitting closer to him and resting your head on his shoulder softly. He wasted no time in placing a hand over you from behind as support as you both looked out at sea.
He only nodded in response as the two of you then began to sit in silence. As you rested you heard Neteyam’s breath hitch slightly before he wet his lips to speak.
“I told my family about us.” He said with hesitation, now looking over at your figure slightly to see what reaction you’d give him. Your eyes widened as you perked your head off his shoulder to turn to look at him, it felt as if something in your stomach churned.
“What” you breathed, a hand over your belly trying to seize the churning inside it. The way your nerves just spike over things as small as this or situations that catch you off guard always made you feel weak. He swallowed before speaking again as he now took in your expression.
“They’re happy for me, for us. My dad hugged me until I couldn’t breathe, he said he was proud. Kiri said she could already tell and Tuk was screaming.” He said with a smile on his face as he turned to the side for a while, you blinked as you caught your breath.
You took in his words now, somewhat happy at his words and the support from his family, but more or less confused by his terms. It’s not as if the two of you were mated, the two of you were young and had the rest of your lives ahead of you. You hadn’t even kissed yet and he’s already told his family about you? What exactly did he say about you?
“What did you tell them exactly?” You asked, looking up at his face before looking out at the sea. You took a quick glance at his face seeing him smile before playing in the sand as he looked your way before speaking again.
“Well, I told them about my um… confession, during Kiri’s incident. Then that you felt the same way.” He confessed, nodding to himself as he spoke as if he was proud of himself for it. You scoffed slightly and smirked before placing your hand on his thigh.
“You didn’t tell them we kissed?” You kidded, giggling a little bit before feeling him pick up the same hand you had on his thigh before holding it. You stopped laughing after seeing him not laugh as he moved in closer to you.
“But we didn’t kiss, unless you want to change that now?” He said, squeezing your hand a little tighter now as his other hand made its way to your hair, brushing it out of your face and behind your hair. Your breath hitched now as you could tell he was serious, and you only kept your eyes on his face.
The freckles on his face were glowing softly, making his eyes seem brighter in the dark night. By the look on his face from how he scanned yours with his eyes you only assumed your face was doing the same. The two of you smiled softly as you were quick to turn your head off to the side, anxiety eating away at your stomach.
Neteyam took a quick move at your actions and cupped your face, turning it back slightly for you to look back at him. Nodding at you before you looked up at his reluctantly, explaining your nervousness to him. He promised you that there was nothing to be scared of, and if anything, you’d enjoy it.
And he was right, for the first time out of many he wasn’t wrong. Because as the two of you had your hands firmly grasping onto the other as your lips had interlocked you couldn’t feel anything else other than happiness and the small fluttering within the pit of your stomach.
His kisses were passionate and soft, he was delicate with you and you loved it. You had tried to share the same energy and delicacy he had but didn’t last long, breaking the kisses the two of you shared every so often to catch your breath as you smiled at him before kissing him again.
“Looks like we changed it, turns out we can tell everyone we kissed.”
The next few months became repetitive, lessons on how to be a Metkayina, lessons on how to be a Tsahìk, spending time with Tonowari and Ronal. It was a comfortable routine ___ got herself into, she was happy here in Awa’atlu. Her babies were safe and healthy, she was safe and healthy.
But sometimes she would be reminded of her home back in the forests, her people, her old mates, Spider.
She missed him.
___ continues to weave a new top, made of dried seaweed and shells, she enjoyed these new garments and loved wearing and designing them in her free time. They were much more freer to wear than the leather she was more used to growing up. Her mind drifted to Spider once more, wondering if the toddler was ok and if he was safe with Norm and the other tuwtute. She knew they would take good care of him, but she could not help but think he would be in better care with her. His mother.
Shaking her head she huffed, placing the half finished top onto the floor and turned her head to look out the marui, watching the waves dance in the afternoon sun, eclipse would be upon them soon and she planned to take Sylwaì and Syatxì to see the bioluminescence of the ocean. They were able to swim, being fast learners, and often had swimming lessons with Ao’nung and other Metkayina babies. Their teacher said they fit right in, it made her happy they were accepted as apart of the people despite their obvious differences.
“mmm” a mumble interrupted her train of thoughts, she looked at the source and saw Syatxì crawling his way towards her. “mmma”
“Kaltxì ‘itan” she picked him up and nuzzled her nose to his, smooching his forehead. The twins have grown quite well, now able to move about and starting to sound out words, Ronal said it would be soon they will begin to walk and talk. “Hmmm, your hair needs to be braided again” ___ talked to herself, looking at the slight exposure of her sons queue and turned him around, getting to work.
Her nimble fingers skilfully crossed over sections of hair at the crown of his head, creating a pattern that her mother taught her in a time long passed. Tying off the end of the braid the mother looked to the setting sun, purples and oranges erupting in the sky, it was almost time to take them outside.
___ stood from her seated position, picking up her son and balancing him on her hip, head swivelling to her rolled out sleeping mat and seeing Sylwaì sat up and waving around a carved out toy of an ikran. His mother smiled and walked towards him, “come on baby” she squatted and scooped him up, settling him on her other hip.
Even when the Pandoran skies darken and eclipse has taken place, the village of Awa’atlu is still active with its people. She smiled and greeted some weavers who walked by her on the elevated platform, she assumed they are going towards the forest to look for more materials. “Have you seen Ronal?” she asked them before they left her sights, the Tsahìk agreed to join her on her expedition with her own son, seeing that this bonding activity will prove beneficial for all.
“She is on the beach the last we saw” one of the men shrugged and pointed in the direction of the east end of the shoreline, waving as ___ thanked him and strolled towards the direction she was pointed to.
But as she arrived on the beach, there was no Tsahìk, or anyone for that matter. The beach was deserted save for a few Na’vi children running around by the mangrove roots. ___ chirped in confusion, yellow eyes darting left and right as she walked closer to the waters edge. “Ronal?” she called out, her sons humming and bouncing with contained excitement.
“I am here” a head poked out of the deeper ends of the water, a grin slowly forming its way onto the Metkayinan’s face. She brought up Ao’nung who squealed when he was swung in the air, laughing at the exhilaration he feels. “We arrived early and my son was impatient, I apologise flower”
Flower.
It was a nickname that Tonowari originally came up with, comparing her to one of the fauna he spotted while deep diving outside the reef. When he brought it back and showed it to his mate and friend, the Tsahìk instantly adapted to call ___ it, why would she not? When the petals were the most prettiest shade of dark blue and the middle was a gorgeous colour of amber, like her eyes. Oh Eywa.
The former Omaticayan flushed slightly but shook it out of her mind. ‘She is just being nice’ she told herself. If only she knew.
___ slowly waded herself through the water, feeling soft wet sand underneath her toes. Her ears wriggled at the sound of childish giggles from her two sons, their tails being touched by the slightly warmed sea. Soon their bodies were enveloped, saved for their heads which ___ kept above water. Even though they may have been good in their lessons, she knew their body is still not well suited for the reefs, more for the forests. So she took great care to watch over them better than the Metkayina children.
“Sa’nu!” Ao’nung cried out, seeing the bluer Na’vi getting closer to them. ___’s heart froze up slightly, eyes going straight to her Tsahìk with pointed down ears. She did not expect for the boy to call her mummy, as she is not the one who mothered him.
Ronal’s tail swished harshly under the water, a bashful look overcoming her face. She knew she was partly at fault, she always brought the boy around the women and her children, never made it clear who ___ was to her. Ao’nung saw a women who was close with his mother and decided that she too would be worthy of the title.
She did not bother correcting him.
“I am sorry-“
“You do not have to be. I saw this coming. Ao’nung does take a large liking to you ___. But I apologise if it makes you uncomfortable” Ronal turned towards the walls of her village in the sea, watching the small fires lit on the outskirts where the canoes continue to row.
“Kehe. It does not make me uncomfortable. I just did not expect it” ___ did not see the grin that formed on the others face.
“Za’u. We will go deeper with ilus” Ronal made a call and a small swarm of creatures swam over to them, clicking and singing in happiness. Ao’nung reached out to tap one on the head with his four fingers, squealing when the tiny ilu nudged his round tummy.
___ let Sylwaì and Syatxì make tsaheylu with the smaller ones, knowing that it is normal to do so gives her comfort. Ilus are like pa’li, but more sociable and safer to bond with.
The boys little fingers grip the tiny reins that connect the animals queues together and slowly swam off to find Ao’nung while their mother established the bond herself on a much larger ilu, following closely behind.
The family dove under the surface, watching as the reef became alive with bright colours. Even though ___ has seen it all before, Pandora never fails to take her breath away. She turned her head to the left to sign to her companion. “Where should we go?”
“I think it is time I show you our spirit tree”
If the Omaticayan was out of the water she would gasp with delight. She has heard from the elders that their spirit tree lies within the cove of ancestors not far from their village, they told her that unlike the giant tree she was used to back in the forest, it is more like a large bundle of sea weed. She was most excited to see it and wanted to venture out herself, but she knew that she needed permission from the Tsahìk or be accompanied by another villager. This may be her home now, but the spiritual tree is something that is most sacred.
Ronal saw the growing excitement on her face and grinned a rare smile.
This will be a night neither one would forget.
The cove of ancestors was better at eclipse, she has been told. But seeing it in person surpassed all expectations. Sylwaì was now huddled in her arms, while her other son and Ao’nung stayed with Ronal, the two small ilus having a chance to take a well deserved break.
“Look down there, flower”
The glow of the spirit tree shone a bright purple and pink hue, its leaves swayed prettily in the deep ends of the waters, curling and twisting to create a giant mass of virtue.
“It is beautiful. Unlike anything I have ever seen”
“Srane…” blue eyes clashed with yellow and the world came to a standstill, if the children were not here, she would surely confess her feelings.
Ao’nung noticed the tree and immediately wriggled in his mothers hold, wanting to go down and see for himself, splashing in the water and swimming to the very top leaf.
Ronal sighed and rolled her eyes slightly at the interruption but smiled a little, diving after him while still holding Syatxì, not waiting for her friend to follow.
After taking a large breath, the two at the surface dove down and followed after the others. Going towards the more shallower tip of the tree to ensure the children would not eventually lose their breath.
“Make the bond” Ronal signed, connecting her hands together and then taking Syatxì’s queue, touching the pink tips of the braid to the tree. “And do not worry, Eywa will give them air”
___ nodded in trust and did the same to Sylwaì and then herself. Feeling a familiar calmness wash over her, watching the colours around fade into a tunnel.
The eye of Eywa.
The lush green grass and tall trees of the forest was not what she expected when she opened her eyes again. But to be honest she did not expect anything.
Laughter filled her pointed ears and she turned around, following the sounds as her feet guided her towards a pretty river with a large waterfall just a few meters up ahead. She recognised the area, it was one from her childhood, an area nearby home tree that her mother and father always took her to.
“My my, you certainly have been busy”
“Sempul!”
___ cried out and crashed into the man who sired her for as long as she lived. She was devastated when her parents went off to fight in the war, both being strong and respected warriors in the clan, but she mourned so much when she found out that they did not live. ___ did not get a chance to see them for a long time since her pregnancy and her arrival in Awa’atlu, not until now.
“Mawey ‘ite. Mawey” Her father pulled back and brushed his daughters loose hair from her face, noting the lack of braids. “Healthy grandchildren. Eywa had blessed us with a wonderful family, one that we hope will grow even larger?”
The young women blinked once. Then twice. Confusion fulling her face. “Sempul…What do you mean. I have not met anyone recently. Not since…”
“Those kalweyaveng. They did not deserve you daughter” ___’s mother approached from the water, holding her grandsons on her hips who played with her beaded hair. “We are glad you have found refuge with the reef Na’vi. They have been kind to you, yes?”
“Srane”
“Of course they have Hìfey, you have seen the way the clan leaders treat her. I would not be surprised if they get together soon. That will happen yes?”
“Father!”
“Kehe. He is right ‘ite. They treat you like a mate, her son calls you mother. Do not give me that look. We see and hear through Eywa” Hìfey rolled her large eyes and smiled softly, watching as silent tears welded in her beautiful child’s eyes. “My heart, there is no need to cry. Tell them how you feel”
___ sniffled and turned back to hug her father once more for comfort. “What if they reject me. Treat me like Jake and Neytiri. What if they cast me out. I cannot let my sons live as an outcast forever sa’nok”
Hìfey shared a look with her husband, one of understanding, a look that needed no words. “Daughter, I refuse to believe that would happen. Have faith my child. Everything will be alright, trust us. Trust Eywa”
And with that, her eyes closed in complete bliss. Heart slowing down as a bright light washed over her vision, she will tell them how she feels.
It is time for a new beginning.
꧁ Aonung: is no stranger to bodily modifications. He can confidently say he did not love the feeling of being tattooed the way some of his aunties and uncles would swear they did. He didn’t brag that he could fall asleep though the pain of ink being malleted security into his thick skin. Which is why for a second Aonung cannot seem to comprehend how his squirmy little girlfriend could have sat through such an ordeal, cringing at the pang of jealously that rises in him at the idea that others would have the same foul thoughts regarding the adornment that he has.
One of his favorite places to be is the netted hammock that sways outside of his marui. He enjoys the cooling sea breeze through his downed hair while watching the waves dance in the wind. Mindlessly keeping an eye out for anything that may intrigue him. It was undoubtably a good place to be whenever he found himself to be stressed or tired. Even better- it was a peaceful place to relax with you. He can agree to himself that he liked this spot even better when your legs straddled his waist and he got to rub loving circles onto your body with the pads of this thumbs while you joined in on his sea gazing. Its only when you shift on his torso that he realities thoughts had wondered past the words you were speaking. It was not often that you would loose his devoted focus, however, he realized he was not really listening to you as you spoke. Not in a cruel or inattentive way way. He did not mean to disregard you. He was just too distracted at the soft slur you give off. That was different. He has spent so long grasping at every word you said- every noise to fall from your perfect mouth. So he knows that there is something wrong.
“You break a tooth?”
He knows he is rude for cutting you off and even ruder for jostling you up as he sits up slightly in worry. Evident concern that you had fallen or bit into something and broken a tooth and that is where the slur of your words came from. That you were in pain. Though it had been some time since the incident, he remembered when Tsireya’s best friend had faced a similar ailment and his mother had been forced to pull the tooth from her skull. He shuddered remembering the ordeal, and hoped you would not go though the same pain.
“Nuh-uh,” you assure rubbing a hand against his soft cheek, eyes softening in endearment at his worry.
Your sweet boy is sitting up further to move closer to you in query when you greet him with the sight of your pretty wet tongue sticking out past your soft lips. The prettiest adornment nestled on your tongue makes his lower stomach twitch. You can’t help but pull yourself back a bit in surprise at the sight of his imposing form sitting up quicker then you expect him to. The natural reflex of your body as he adjusts your position in the hammock you were both meant to be napping on. Your movement only results in his thick calloused palms making a firm grasp for your cheeks, holding your face steadily in front of him for his viewing pleasure,
“Open your mouth.”
He’s bossy, and for a second you worry he absolutely hates it and will instruct you to remove it once you give into his demand. The thought alone is what keeps you from listening to him quick enough for his liking. Which is probably why once your lips finally start to part again his pointer finger is quick to hook over your lower teeth, pulling your jaw open so he could inspect you once again. Not giving you a choice in closing your mouth once again.
All you can do is peer down at his inquisitive eyes that seem to be judging the very ivory of your teeth and whine at how intently he is staring down your welcoming throat. He does not mean to look so incredulous as he inspects your wet mouth. Your tongue is swollen and the intrusion of his long finger has your salivary glands working overtime coating the little ball in you saliva. You look perfect on his lap, spitting all over his finger as it hooks your jaw wide open for him. He only removes the binding finger from your mouth when he inquires,
“Who touched you?”
You’re confused for a second, not realizing he means the piercing until the pad of his finger caresses the tip of your tongue careful to avoid the sore center. He can’t help but wonder what burly large man had touched your pretty fleshy tongue that belonged to him. He feels terribly for the anger that bubbles at the thought of said man getting to see you sat obediently, mouth open and waiting. He could only imagine what thoughts they had as your big pretty eyes stared at them while they made a new hole in your body. As if you mean to scorn him you only giggle. You giggle at his jealousy, and though it should vex him more he can’t help but feel soothed at your reaction,
“Your mo’ther,” you giggle and the material clinks against your teeth, and you slur over a too long bar that accommodated for the swelling.
It soothes him a little. His mother- your mother- had pierced you and not one of the men he had known with said job. Now the only issue at hand was the fact that he was sure other men would see it and have the same first thought that had crossed his own mind.
“It was for Eywa,”
The holy name cuts him from his unholy thoughts. He instantly meets your words with his objurgate simper that you’re used to. A unique expression that conveyed a playful scold that he knew was sure to leave you putty in his hands.
“Nah, you know better. That’s there for me,”
His words make your face flush a pretty shade of plum and you find it increasingly hard to look up at him. It’s endearing to him really, your cheek warm against his open palm. He runs the finger covered in your spit against your bottom lip,
“Ya, can’t wait till it heals. Gonna feel real good when you gag on my cock, huh tìhona?”
꧁ Neteyam doesn’t really care what you do to your own body. It’s your own body; how could he possibly tell you what to do with it. Besides the fact that he thinks it was cute how brave you were for sitting though it, he can’t help but find the way you toy with it annoying. Neteyam still thinks it has its own unique charn though.
Neteyam is too aware. It’s probably why he struggles so much to relax. Something always draws his attention, and he can’t stop his brain's desire to hyper-fixate on it. For this reason Neteyam is well aware of your tongue ring. In your defense he was aware of the adornment from the beginning. He knows so much about it as he was there as the sharpened point was pushed through you outstretched tongue while his mother howled in laughter at the way your tail extended out in shock at the pain.
In all honesty, he has rarely caught a glimpse of the jewelry since you had done it. Despite your loud mouth, the jewelry stayed relatively hidden behind your ivory canines. he guesses you just don’t open your mouth that wide. It’s a shame he doesn’t get the luxury of just catching a flash of the adornment. Instead, he lays here on an old roll-out woven mat, basking in the warm sun with you draped across him. It should be a calming ordeal. Yet you preoccupied yourself with rolling your tongue ring across the ridges of your teeth with no regard for the safety of the bones.
This is supposed to be relaxing. That was the point of coming out here to nap away from the intrusions of your families and burdens of society. As much as laying with you is meant to calm his ever-increasing nerves the fact that the clank of your tongue piercing gliding across your teeth in some sort of stim is ever present and driving him up the wall.
“Cut it out,”
His voice comes with a bite to your fleshy cheek which makes your eyes blink open. You pass him a displeased glance from where you lay next to him.
“Why? Am I irritating?”
You ask him so sweetly that if he had not been so sleep deprived he would have assured you that you were perfect and nothing you could do would ever vex him,
“Very. I’ll rip that thing out of your mouth,”
You laugh because he sounds exactly like his mother, yet had the same scolding undertone his father had often taken on. He is almost pleased with you when he feels you roll over half onto him, thinking you had accepted defeat and would settle down for seep. Relishing in the feeling of you tossing one of your legs over his waist and propping yourself up on one elbow to quickly cuddle against him. His sweet purr as you run your fingers through his braids swiftly almost makes you feel bad for the fact that you lean down to run your wet muscle from the bottom of his jaw to the top of his cheek. It is almost scary how slowly his eyes open. He cannot even feign shock at the way you play with him and his dwindling patience. It is ridiculous- you are ridiculous. Yet you are still shocked (and delighted) at how quickly Neteyam is hooking his leg around yours and rolling the both of you over so your back presses firmly to the mat behind you in retaliation for your annoying actions.
“Does being a imp bring you satisfaction?” He asks, though there’s no indication of real annoyance.
You grin up at him so pretty too, he can’t help but appreciate your mouth. The plush of your soft lips, and the shine of your ivory teeth,
“Undoubtably!” you chip,
And then his thumb runs across your bottom lip, pulling it down slightly so he can look at the red of your gums.
“Open your mouth, annoying girl.” he huffs down at you.
Though you intend to listen to him he does not give you the time too. Squeezing your cheeks between his freed palm until you have no choice but to part your lips for him. With your leg wrapped around his waist your foot rests on the small of his back and you can feel the muscles of his lower back flex as his tail flicks between his legs in excitement at the sight. As you loll your berry-fleshed tongue out for him he wastes no time in returning the crude indecency of your previous actions to you. You’re not dumbfounded when his spit lands on your waiting tongue, but you do jerk under him with a huff. Nonetheless, you are so good for him still, waiting for him to smile and give you a slurred go-ahead before you swallow.
Neteyam guesses he likes the stupid thing. Gives him something to aim at.
꧁ Roxto is shy. Not with normal people. But when you speak to him so pretty him he can’t help but tense up at the way his mind wanders. Especially as you sit there blabbering about your home in the jungle, she should be listening but he’s too busy eying the piercing in your tongue and wondering what it would feel like on him.
Rotxo is sweet. So sweet that he feels terrible for the way he stares at your mouth from where he is lent opposite on a thick mangrove root while you speak. Chirping away at him because you had grown the closest to him out of everyone after your arrival.
Don’t get him wrong. He could spend his whole day and whole night (and whole existence) with you. He liked nothing more than sitting pleasantly next to you or with his head on your lap while you spoke. He had been thankful for the fact that you had gotten the closest to him out of anyone you could have chosen when your family arrived at his home. He truly thought you were the most interesting person he had ever met. Perhaps that is why he watches you so intently. As if he is worried he will miss even a fraction of what you had to offer. He felt like he had known a decent amount about you. Knew you well enough that he could predict what you would say before you had even said it. Which is probably why he is so eager to get his question out.
“What is in your mouth?”
He just faces the nalutsa head-on. Blurts his question out; almost cutting your sentence off early. Once your eyes snap up to meet his from where you picked at stones on the ground. Your tongue is rolling out of your mouth in response as you stand to face him,
“This?”
Of course you sound silly as you talk around your tongue, but Rotxo is just looking at the modification. His first question is did it hurt, and you gave him a deadpan ‘obviously’. Despite this, you seem to be far more interested in this line of questioning than you had been while you were rambling. Ears are drawn forward in his direction, arms behind your back while your tail twirled behind you.
When he asks why you would do such a thing (despite having tattoos himself) you tell him it was a thing some of the more spiritual people of your clan would do. He could not help but feel a little guilty at the fact that all he can think about is how it would feel twirling around the head of his cock. How pretty you would look sitting on your knees with your tongue out waiting for him to paint the shiny little adornment white. He doesn’t even realize that his eyes are trained down on you, and his tail sways between his legs.
But you notice. You notice the way he relaxes on his arms more. How his pretty sea-foam green eyes relax as he maintains tantalizing eye contact. The fact that his ears are drawn back, his jaw is clenched and his tail thumps slightly against his own leg, dragging across the ground behind him would be evidence alone of where his thoughts had traveled to. The thick bulging at the brown fabric of his tweng however seals his fate. You giggle at him. If all it took to work him up was a flash of your tongue then you will surely be the death of him. He is not even listening to why you had done it, what it meant. Ignoring all talks of salvation so he could look down at you and think of what you could only fantasize about.
“Ya, but you do not really care why I got it, huh?”
Your question catches him off guard, mostly because you are right and he’s too busy thinking about you to notice that you had once again begun to ramble. He is terrifyingly intrigued when your moving to stand right in front of him, head cocked up curiously at him, an amorous smirk on your lips.
“You just care about what I can do with it.”
Like the tease you are, you glance down at his hips. It is only then he realizes how tight the confines of his bottoms had gotten.
“You really are a devil huh?” His fingers are digging into the bark of the root he leans on as he huffs out the only thing he could think to say. He supposes there was no honor in hiding anything now- to bashfully try and defend the situation. That pretty tongue of yours sliding past your teeth to lick across your lips,
“If you want a vrrtep I can show you a vrrtep,”
Your voice is charmingly playful, and he can hear the click of the ring against a tooth. As your fingers dance across his lower stomach you’ve all but convinced him to be at your mercy with no effort. When you wordlessly drop to your knees before him he cant help the noise that ripples through his chest. Parts of him buckle at the idea of letting you be in charge and show him more of that pretty tongue ring but he can’t help but be honorable. Try to gain some sort of dominance. He thought he had gained the upper hand when at the contact of one of his big palms to the back of your head. The assumption was foolish of him. To think for a second he had the upper hand. The feeling of the cool material on your tongue sliding up his thigh has his fingers knotting in your hair and his breath coming out in huffs. He thinks it’s perfect- you’re perfect. He can’t wait to feel it everywhere.
꧁ Lo’ak doesn’t mean to not notice really, you were both so busy. You should take it as a compliment how hard he focuses on your eyes when you talk. But when he finally catches on that somethings different about you and you show him he can’t help but get too excited.
You were Lo’aks very best friend. In fact, you could not recall a point in life where he was not at your side while your gaggle of friends got into mischief. In all honestly you had spent your childhood following Lo’ak around like his shadow, and it is a habit that has followed you into your adulthood. You know he is plagued with an overabundance of energy and thus kept you entertained the best. Lo’ak was many things- emotionally aware, compassionate, charming, and with no effort made you feel alive. He’s probably why you were a bit of an adrenaline junky, and why you so eagerly agreed to the modification to your body after your Uniltaron. There was some reason behind the bleeding that you did not quite know if you cared about more then the fact that there was a cool piercing in your mouth.
Most importantly, you had hoped Lo’ak would have noticed the piercing quickly, however, the fact that Lo’aks own Uniltaron was the day before yours and he (like his father) had an intense experience, meant that you had uncharacteristically been apart for what you considered too long. Lo’ak had spent the days in which your tongue was at its most swollen (and thus noticeable) resting at home. Though you had been plagued with your own duties which made any meaningful interactions between Lo’ak and yourself non-existent since then. This meant that he just hasn’t noticed the new addition to a body he was rather familiar with. The lapse in time spent together was not something either of you had been used to, nor particularly fond of.
Which is why Lo’ak is blabbering to you wildly while you both eat your supper. You think he’s cute despite talking with his mouth full, and your dazed staring is what pulls Lo’ak out of his excitement and forces him to stare back at you. It is when he noticed you’re eating lighter than usual.
“Soup? It’s too warm for soup,” his tone indicates it’s an astute observation in his mind, “Are you sick?” He asks, reaching to touch your head. You snicker at him as you smack his lingering hand away,
“No, skxawng- you really hadn’t noticed?”
The playful faux sadness in your voice still barbs at his heart. It is quickly replaced with an indescribable feeling when you open your mouth for him and he’s greeted with a heart-stopping view. Eywa you were pretty, and for a second you looked like you could really be his- looking up right at him with your mouth wide open. It’s innocently possessive for a second, really he hadn’t thought too much into why he had reacted to the view in such a way. That was until he noticed the little ball perched on the center of your tongue. Like the little stones they found in the river mollusks they used as jewelry.
“Oh shit!”
His response makes you shut your mouth and snicker while your tail wags faster than you had been used to. You even turn your head in to avoid his ardent eyes. Though Lo’ak is quick to brace his hands on the wooden table to lean over and follow your gaze,
“I wasn’t done- hey,” and when he pinches your cheeks in his hand he almost knocks over your soup with the enthusiasm he exudes.
“You are acting like a fool,” your smiling half out of amusement, half out of pure inarticulate flabbergast at how quickly he had become interested in the orifice.
“Does it hurt?” He questions.
If it’s possible his smile grows larger at the shake of your head,
“Let me kiss you then,”
It leaves his mouth before you can even tell him how the pain has passed. It’s incredulous, how brazen Lo’aks words are considering his parents were barely out of earshot also enjoying their meal.
“Are you the one with a fever?”
Your voice crack is loud as you grip his wrist, and you make a note that you lean closer to him almost subconsciously.
“What? We have kissed quite a bit?”
In secret- in private- not when everyone you knew was right there, you were sure people presumed but you did not particularly feel the need to deal with the questioning eyes of either your families or your friends.
“You’re parents are right there, Lo’ak. I am not-” But his pretty wide smile cuts you off, and his tail swings down to snatch your swaying one
“We can go somewhere they’re not,”
There’s a snort in his voice like it’s the obvious answer. As though the both of you getting up and walking away together wouldn’t have drawn the same questioning gaze that kissing would have cast upon you, Eywa knows why you are dumb enough to nod at him. Quickly moving to stand up first, but pause when his tail stays wrapped right around yours halting your movement, and you look to him quizzically.
“You gotta wait a minute before we’re going anywhere,”
You’re confused. He was just so eager to be alone with you. How could he possibly be more interested in his previously abandoned meal? And how can he be chuckling at you- and why is the free arm he had propped on the table motioning towards the bench you both sat on and- oh. Thats why. The undeniable tent forming. A reminder why you so quickly agreed to be whisked away by him.
