Of course the Task Force is incredibly pleased to get another detective to help out! And the fourth – well, second, really, but they don't know that – best detective in the world?! It's a stroke of good luck for the case.

Matsuda is the most excited, of course, and Aizawa the most sceptical. But all of them, now that you're standing in front with a bag and an outfit and a look on your face, seem to immediately clock that you are a good detective. Right, because you're famous like L, but L defies expectations in such a wonderfully unique way. The Task Force was no longer sure what to expect.

But a Good Detective.

So it was quite the shock when they walked in on you, two weeks and three days later, sitting quite comfortably in L's lap and doing something that was undeniably, irrevocably, most certainly a kiss. And a kiss with a lot of tongue at that.

"I thought you two were watching the surveillance," from Chief Yagami breaks the two of you apart.

L says, "Do not worry. It has been taped."

As if that was the biggest question they had for the two of you.

The wedding was beautiful. No doubt about it. Mikey did a wonderful job with the floral arrangements, and April and Cass looked absolutely wonderful. And even more, your date. Hot damn.

Donnie didn't really wear clothes all that often, so you had no idea what you were missing out on. But seeing Donnie, all dressed up like that? You nearly lost your damn mind. The black slacks on his long legs, the white button down that he couldn't button all the way, the jacket, all of it.

"Y/N!" You hear a voice call out, and you recognize it as the bride herself, April. "Y/N c'mere!"

You walk over to April and give her a hug.

"April! You look fabulous!" You exclaim, looking at her positively gorgeous dress. "Why thank you~" she says, doing a spin to show it off. "You look great too!" April compliments, and you strike a little pose.

"More importantly," April starts, "Donnie."

You raise an eyebrow at her.

"What about him?" You ask, curious as to what she means.

"I'm talkin about how you're practically drooling every time you look at him" she places her hands on her hips, raising an eyebrow at you.

"I cant help it!" You say. "He just looks so goodddd."

"And how long have you been dating for now?" She asks, crossing her arms.

"Uhmmm.... Justttt one or two orrrrrrr eightttttt months?"

"Have you said the 'I love you' yet?"

"Mmmmmmmnnnnooooo?" You say, or rather- ask. Aprils eyes widen and her jaw drops a little.

"Eight months and you haven't said 'I love you'?? Girl-" She starts, ready to lay into you.

"I know I know- I'm emotionally constipated, okay? I'll tell him when I'm ready." She narrows her eyes at you before promptly walking away.

You suddenly hear her in the speakers, announcing something.

"Alright party people! Lets get all those couples out on the dance floor for a slowwww dance" You look at her to find her holding up two thumbs ups pointed in your direction.

Your attention is pulled from April as you hear the familiar sound of your boyfriends voice behind you.

"May I have this dance, darling?" He asks, holding out a hand. You take it and he leads you to the dance floor as some cheesy love song plays.

He places a hand on your waist, you place yours on his shoulder, and you both intertwine fingers best you can. You sway to the beat, not really knowing how to dance.

"You look gorgeous tonight." Donnie says, causing you to blush and look away. You werent the best with taking compliments.

"Look at me, would you?" He requests, squeezing your waist ever so slightly. You still dont, your gaze resting on your hand perched on his shoulder rather than his eyes.

"Is everything alright, darling?" He asks, raising a drawn on eyebrow at you. You shrug, and he momentarily lets go of your waist to gently move your chin so you look at him. You meet his eyes and blush. The corner of his mouth quirks up in a half smile as he cocks his head slightly.

"You okay?" He asks again, waiting for verbal confirmation.

"Yeah.... I'm fine, I just-" you start, averting your gaze once again. He looks at you, waiting for you to finish. Gosh, he was so patient with you. The way he looks at you, everything thing about him, just him. You loved him so much. Now if only you could tell him that.

"I dunno..." Is what you settle on. "Its just a lot, yknow?"

"Are you overstimulated? Too noisy? Too bright? What is it, hon?" He asks, so patient and caring.

"No... Not that." You think carefully for a moment, searching for the right words. "I've been thinking."

"About?" Donatello questions and he spins you gracefully. 'What a talented dancer' you think.

"Us."

Don raises a brow, looking slightly worried for a second. "This isn't you trying to break up with me, is it?"

"Dont worry, its not." You reassure him.

"Relieved sigh. Thats good. I love you so much I don't know what I'd do if you left me." He chuckles, and you almost stop in your tracks, but don't to continue the flow of dancing, causing you to trip over your own feet. Luckily, Donnie holds you up.

"You okay?" He asks, and you half nod, mind occupied by something else. Those three words. The words you had not yet worked up the nerve to say.

He takes note of the expression on your face, and as if he was a mind reader, he says something.

"I imagine this is because I said the 'L' word?"

You glance at April and Cass, then back to him. "Lesbian?"

"No- Love, Y/N. I said I love you." He states, thumb rubbing gently against your waist.

"Right...."

"Yknow typically when someone says 'I love you', you typically say it back." He smirks that adorable smirk you love so much.

"Your hesitation issss...... Quite unnerving, Y/N. Do you not love me back?" You see the worry on his face and quickly deny it.

"What? Nonono- of course I do, Donnie, I just- I don't know how to say it." He looks at you quizzically as you try to explain.

"Its easy. Like this: I love you too, Donatello, love of my life. Simple"

You sigh. "Its not just that easy. I've never been in a relationship this long. Ive never said....... That.... To someone else before."

Donnie, being as sweet as ever, just listens.

"And its not like I dont love you, I definitely do. I guess I'm just scared that- once I say it, this- us, will become real."

He raises an eyebrow.

"Like once I say.... It..... Im admitting to myself that I'm in love with you, and that's only going to make it hurt that much more when this ends."

When you're finished speaking, you look away, trying to swallow the lump building so annoyingly in your throat. His hand releases yours and cups your cheek, brushing his thumb against your skin.

"What makes you think this is gonna end?" He asks, forcing you to look at him. "I dunno..... I just know that one day you'll find someone so much better than me, and you'll leave me behind. They always do."

The look that flashes across Donatellos face is a mixture of melancholy and love.

"Darling..... There is no one in this world I would rather be with. You're not perfect, sure. But neither am i. And I can promise you, that I will not be leaving you any time soon. Y/N I love you, more than anything or anyone, okay? And by Galileo that will never change. Understand? So, take your worries about me finding someome better and throw them out, because I don't want anyone else. I want you."

By the time he finishes you're nearly on the verge of tears. He pulls you closer into an embrace and you resist the urge to bury your face into the crook of his neck.

"God..... You're perfect...." You say quietly. He responds with "I know, dearest."

"I love you, Donatello, love of my life." You tell him, backing up from the embrace to look into his eyes. He smiles that beautiful smile at you.

He says "I love you too, Y/N. More than anything." before he captures your lips in the sweetest, softest kiss you've ever experienced.

The song ends and Mikey comes on the mic.

"Alllllright party people! Time to pump it up!"

The next song starts and you turn to Don once you recognize the opening. He looks at you the same, a grin spreading across his face.

He grabs both you hands and dances with you, singing along to the ABBA song playing over the sound system.

"Honey, honey how you feel me, uh huh. Honey, honey nearly killed me, uh huh. Honey, honey."

You look around, seeing Leo dancing with his boyfriend, April and Cass dancing together, Raph dancing a little on the side, Mikey dancing with himself by the laptop controlling the music, and Donnie. The love of your life, dancing with you, swaying to the music and spinning you around.

In that moment, you knew just how lucky you were. To be a part of a family like this, to have someone like Donatello. There was no where else you'd rather be.

MONTHLY MFIP UPDATE✨✨

9/24 | Month 2 | Next Month | Month 1

Hey folks 🦐 I finally got the chance to make this month’s MFIP Update cuz god damn life was kicking my ass. College is fine for the most part tbh, just a lot of reading and writing cuz of the specific classes I chose. HOWEVER I have 💥FUCKING PMDD💥 so um skill issue on my part but it’s why I’ve been kinda exhausted as shit this week and was late with the update so my bad folks! (Also for more info on PMDD, click here! I don’t wanna spend this post yapping about it but wanted to leave a resource to spread awareness just in case :3). Also, Imma be tagging some of y'all who have been reading/supporting MFIP consistently just for this post, so yk you guys actually know these updates exist. I was gonna do that for the first ever update but as with many things, I forgor, so I'm doing it now! They’re supposed to come out on the 18th of every month, but yk sometimes life happens and I’m a lil late. It won’t be any earlier than the 18th tho so look out for these once it hits that date! Anywho, cheers to this month’s update!

Alrighty folks we be starting with the Art~!

Alrighty so obvious new thing, WE GOT RAPH’S REF SHEEEEEEEET TEEHEEEEEEE

BRO IM SO HYPE ABOUT IT! It turned out so genuinely amazing and I’m ridiculously proud of it! Especially cuz I honestly thought Raph was gonna be a harder design to figure out yk? I’m not used to drawing his body type, I wasn’t as familiar with his outfit, and even tho I’ve sketched him a few times before, I was just a bit nervous with Raph. Funfact, he’s also been the hardest to figure out how to write back when I was first starting MFIP. I genuinely don’t know why, but I got there eventually (I actually really love writing him now—) and same thing happened with his design!

Since MFIP’s taking place a few months after the Krang invasion, i’m able to take creative liberties and update the boys’ designs more! For some clarification btw, in my story’s lore, the invasion took place in September 2020, and MFIP starts on March 2021. Anywhizzle, my ideas for the boys’ designs is to combine their movie look with their show look, cuz while I do LOVE the black on them, it doesn’t feel right to me to not make them still unique in their own ways. These guys are all about authenticity, so why make their gear exactly the same, ya get me? I basically recolored his show gear to be black and red (and added a lil asymmetry on his legs) cuz I think it makes Raph feel older and more sure about himself, just feels right for him! I also just think the red fade on the black is hella cool! Fun lil color theory i think application, the black is more of a really dark, inky blue, so it makes the red pop out even more! I decided to make a bow out of his mask tails, too! I don’t wanna spoil the entire lore reasoning for it yet (it’ll pop up in the story), but I can indeed say it’s intentional that it looks a little like a lunamoth with damaged tails :3 I also took a BUNCH of creative liberties with his sais’ handles, since we haven’t really seen it much so like idk gaslight yourselves into thinking it’s always been this epic✨✨

Also I gave him his shorts back because FUCK YOU I LIKED THE RED TRIMMMM—

OH I ALMOST FORGOT yes he has longer eyelashes! I saw he grows to have really pretty eyelashes in the future cuz of his turtle species, and I wanted to lean into that by showing they’re starting to grow now :3

Bullshit Gag Because Yes‼️‼️

There ain’t shit to say about this, I just pulled a silly. I saw the fact Donnie was supposed to have a “Doctor Donatello” persona in the deleted episode where Dale turns into a werewolf. I’m really heavily on the train of Leo being the team medic and into medicine in general. I don’t think it makes sense for Donnie to be the medic judging by his sensory issues and this mf being as much of a germaphobe as my mom, and in my opinion it felt too stereotypical anyway to have Donnie be the medic. Ofc, to each their own, and this is just my interpretation of it, but I thought it’d be funny if Donnie still had this persona and was passionate about it, but was like horrifically bad at being a doctor. I made this dumbass sketch that I’ll finish sometime in the future (it’s gonna be a chapter in Arc 3 probably) and I just wanted to share it with yall~

THEY’RE HUMAN NOW⁉️

My ass wanted to show off cuz I’m sketching out some ideas of what my human designs for the boys culd be. I already did Leo’s like ages ago so he’s not on here but I’m realizing as I’m typing this my dumbass forgor to post it so um my bad I will do that in a few days—

But I wanted to design (or more accurately, redesign cuz I did draw em once a while back but I’m not satisfied with them) and I think I ate so far so uh yea. There isn’t any logic to sharing this, I just thought it was cool😭

And actually, imma share them here too just so y’all can see my boy ;w;

As you can see, I want all the boys to look kinda etherial and like they'd turn heads, and I think I am SUCCEEDING SO HARD SO FAR CUZ DAMNNNN THEY'RE ALL PRETTY AS SHIIIIIIIT TEEHEE✨ Also am tryna make sure they actually look Blasian since that's what the canon of my story says they are. I'll talk about them more another time when I have all of them on here~

Chapter Progress Time Whoop Whoooop‼️‼️

I didn’t make much progress on anything this month due to college—again, it’s fine, but there’s a shit ton of time management going on in my part to just manage everything and make sure I’m on track—BUT I am indeed still working on chapter 10. We’re up to 20 pages now which is only two more pages written from last month, but it’s kinda cool writing Donnie and I feel like I’m getting a better understanding of him! One thing I’ve been tryna do is understand autism better as a condition cuz I do wanna acknowledge and show bro’s autism instead of just ignoring it due to a lack of understanding. Donnie ain’t Donnie without it, ya know? I don’t know everything and tbh I would say I still have A LOT to learn on the subject matter, but I’m tryna expand my knowledge every opportunity I get and experimenting with how to better show it! This is to say tho, I’M NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, NOR AN EXPERT ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM. This is what I’m finding and comprehending via my own research, and can tbh end up being wrong so please don’t quote me as a reliable source, I’m still learning ;v;

I remember one of the things I kept hearing about was autism leading people to struggle with empathy. The best way I heard it being described was someone bringing the example of when their friend was upset. That person can’t truly feel their friend’s emotions because they’re not the one experiencing it, so can’t properly understand how it’s making their friend feel. But they can see that their friend is communicating their sadness, and they still try to comfort them and make sure their friend knows they’re there for support. I understood it as bringing logic to emotions in a sense; collecting data and figuring out how to handle the situation based on the data rather than using intuition alone.

I’ve been using that to figure out how Donnie might handle more emotionally subtle situations, where he might try to rationally work through what’s happening and kinda substitute it in place of natural empathy. Like the little tidbit I gave above! Instead of just automatically being able to get vibes that the other person is upset, I felt maybe Donnie would instead notice the fact their tone is kinda different from before; it’s basically a data point. With that data point in mind, he could connect it to past experiences where a tone change could indicate a mood change, and as a result he might conclude that Salena’s tone change means she’s upset. I comprehend it as manually working through empathy rather than it being second nature, if that makes sense. Obviously and thankfully Donnie isn’t gonna spend the entire chapter playing a guessing game or anything with Salena’s emotions, it’s just one lil moment that I thought was cool challenge to myself with when writing him! I really love putting myself in the characters’ shoes when I’m writing them or their dialogue. I highly recommend it as a tool too, since it's helped me a lot with staying in character!

Last Lil Segment Y'all

Aight so, I wanted to try doing something cool if y'all are up for it. I really love rambling about my story and lore and characters blah blah blah, but I don't really know how to do so tbh. I'm not that familiar with how social medias work cuz I just never took it seriously, and I don't wanna just keep being like HEYYYYY ASK BOX IS OPENNNNN like I'm screaming from the top of the hill either. Sooooo insteaddddd

I think it'd be fun to do Q&As here! Or at least something similar. I'll open my ask box again and feel free to send any questions you want; it can be about the story, past lore, design questions, getting to know the characters, absolutely anything! Then when I'm gonna do my update for the month, I'll compile all y'all's asks, (prolly will have to tag to make sure you guys know I answered it, or if you ask anon then uh idk look out for the monthly update) and then answer them during the monthly update as the last section! I think it'll be a cool way to make this feel more interactive, and gives me an excuse to ramble. Don't be afraid to ask potentially spoilery questions either! If it's something I can't spoil yet or even give hints or vague answers about, I'll just say so in the update!

"If I were you Smokescreen, I wouldn't be saying that...", Bulkhead chimed in, a hint of worry in his tone of voice.

"Pff nahh, am I right doctor?"

You just roll your optics in annoyance, continuing on working on the task Ratchet gave you, back to the others.

Atleast he stopped calling you doc, so that's gotta be something.

Yes you may be a medic in training but oh was he wrong with that statement of his.

"Look? They're not even replying, because they know I'm soo right."

You turned around to face the white red and blue bot, who had his arms crossed before his chassis so full of himself.

"Oh really Smokey?"

"Hey, you know I hate that nickname!"

"Fine, I will stop using it IF, you win against me in a 1v1."

"Oh, it's so on!"

"But", you add, raising a single digit at him. "If I win, I'm gonna call you that for as long as I shall live. And no more making fun of medics, I mean it"

"Pff, humans call that child's play."

Raising an optic ridge, you step away from the console, attention now fully on him.

"Go on.", you try to encourage him.

"At least step away from my equipment...", Ratchet grumbled.

Not wanting to have wrenches flying your direction you do as you're told.

"So, wanna start?"

"And no guns for Primus' sake!"

You chuckle

"Alrighty Ratch!"

The bot infront of you turned to stand in a fighting position, fists raised to the height of his chest.

Game on.

He went for a frontal attack, which your easily dodged by ducking and turning to the side.

You counter with a light blow to his side, making him stumble.

"Are you even trying? Or am I just too good to-"

And that sentence of his was cut right off as you went forward, ducked again and kicked his pedes away, making him fall right onto his face, taking a box down with him.

"I needed that!", Ratchet yelled furiously.

"Ow"

"I may be a medic, but I surely know how to fight. Next time you underestimate me I won't go so easy on you."

"Ha, they busted you Smoky!", Miko laughed, pointing at the red blue and white colored bot, who was now slowly standing up, rubbing his helm in pain.

"And they surely got that sass from old Ratchet..", Smokescreen mumbled under his breath.

A wrench came flying his way from across the hall, which you catched easily right after your sensors detected it.

"And I got mad reflexes so better watch out from now on."

"Okay, let me get this straight.", Miko spoke up again. "They busted your metal ass AND saved you. Damn, you're so in their debt!"

The she comes to a complete halt, holding onto the railing while looking directly at the Smokescreen, her eyes wide.

"You were trying to impress them!", she exclaimed, jumping once and pointing at Smokescreen.

"Smoky is in love, Smoky is in love!", she declared, jumping around excitedly.

"WHAT?!", you and the mostly silver bot said simultaneously, exchanging a rather flustered look.

"Oooh and they love you too. Robot romance yayy"

"Miko...", Bulkhead reprimanded her.

"Whaat? It's true Bulk! They're in love!", she said, gesturing wildly towards the two of you while looking up at her guardian.

"We've got two lovebirds.", she explained proudly, hands on her hips now.

Ratchet raised an optic ridge, looking between you and a now very flustered Smokescreen.

"Well finally it's official. I can't stand you two pining for each other any longer.", the medic said, rolling his optics, going right back to work afterwards.

Indignant, you finally turn to speak.

"And what makes you ALL think that we're in love?!"

"Oh please, I've seen the way you look at eachother. And you would NEVER accept to a fight like this.", Arcee mentioned, arms crossed over her chassis.

"I could not help but notice a tension you two hold.", Optimus adds, who had been silently watching until now.

"Not you too Prime..."

You clear your throat.

"Yeah sure whatever..."

While cleaning up the mess you two created, you made sure not to look at Smokescreen, who couldn't take his optics off of you.

Sure, he was cute and you mayyyybee caught feelings, but it couldn't have been THAT obvious. Right?!

"You fight pretty good for a medic."

You shoot a glare at him.

"I mean, you fight really good.", he corrected himself. "No more making fun of medics, I know."

You chuckle, nudging his side. "You're not too bad yourself Smokey."

His helm turns toward you.

"What? I won, so you're Smokey from now on."

"I love you!", he blurted out, covering his intake with both servos immediately after.

You laugh, placing a servo on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, the feeling's mutual."

You two stand up straight and you put the now tidy box on top of a counter.

"Who are we kidding? Even Miko figured something was up. Might as well indulge and make it official, don't you think?"

The bot nods. "Yeah, you're right."

"I know I am, better get used to it."

"Pff"

Major respect and gratitude to all these wonderful artists and logical people!! I'm an amateur artist myself who has never seen the appeal in AI art at all, or just AI in general, but I never really thought too much on how the situation affects people with disabilities. This thread though shows me and other regular people how free and creative art is. And how "Art" as a concept really doesn't have any limitations! You don't need a robot to do something that only a human can truly understand, and you shouldn't have to!

Thanks for sharing all your POV's on this situation and I'm glad we still have some sensible people in such a shitty world. <3

I've never seen either of these shows so I decided to get my lil bro to comment on this instead, who's only seen the tmnt show in this. Here he is, have patience plz.

this is really cool. Im already starting to think of if the tmnt 1987 show had a crossover with stranger things season 4. Theres actually a crossover of the mirage turtles and season 3 stranger things witch so far is pretty good. I now forever imagine that each turtle universe has a different season of stranger things cannon to it. before i go who would win in a fight? the shredder or the turtles or both vs vecna?
