So explaining the makeup of this chart for those who have never learned about the quadrants or maybe need a refresher.

First it’s important to note that A) the quadrants are from a violent alien society and are meant to reflect/balance that out B) the line between quadrants can often blur.

So if some things seem weird that’s probably why.

Red rom focus on positive emotions while black rom focuses on the negative. Along with that, concupiscent quadrants prioritize passion/attraction while conciliatory quadrants prioritize soothing/comforting.

Matespritship (♥️) is the closest to a typical human romantic relationship. This is the lovey dovey corner. The one that’s all about passion and dates and affection yada yada. It’s also the one I am least interested in bc it’s the most familiar.

Kismesitude (♠️) is the opposing romance to Matespritship. It focuses on feelings of hatred and attraction, but for it to be a true pitch relationship, there must also be respect. Think of it as an intense rivalry. A kismesis is someone who pushes your buttons. Someone who constantly challenges you forward. They are the person you trust to vent your aggression out towards.

It is incredibly important to know that neither member will ever want their partner to be grievously hurt or killed. They genuinely care for one another.

Moirailigance (♦️) is a frequently misinterpreted relationship. Many people see it as the BFF corner, but it is much deeper than that. Think more similar to a queer platonic relationship. Moirails are each others safeguard. They care deeply for each others physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

This is the person you go to when you’re having a horrible day. This is the person who will drop everything to take care of you when sick. This is the person who’d lay their life down for you if someone threatened you.

It’s also often moirails will show affection through physical means (ex: hugging, holding hands, cuddling, chaste kisses in some dynamics).

Auspisticism (♣️) is often the most neglected romance. Despite this it is incredibly important. This quadrant involves three members. Typically a feuding pair and a mediator - known as the auspistice. This third party is the person who provides advice when the couple are struggling in their dynamic.

They will deescalate feuds that may be going to far. They will step in to prevent serious injury. They will calm the pair down, provide them with new perspectives on whatever’s troubling them.

TLDR: hearts are for lovers — spades are for rivals that kiss — diamonds are for soulmates who aren’t quite lovers and they prefer it that way — clubs are mediators.

As the creator of the current Fakey mod, I can tell you from experience if you're using the most common character template you'll have the same outdated issues I have where dialogue from updates made after the template was made will be defaulted, otherwise please tell me what you're using because I've been wanting to fix him for forever and it's my main focus so I can't fix other issues.

… *ahem*. but uhhhh anyways, it’s actually really simple to add missing dialogue in! and i guess this goes for anyone else trying to make a DST mod at this point…

the easiest way to add the newer lines in would be to copy the bases in from another character’s most updated dialogue file, for me i just use Wilson’s since he’s the most generic. all the scripts and everything can be found in the game’s databundles, hopefully that’s specific enough since i’m not home right now to show specifics.

after that, you’d drag the newer dialogues into the LUA file where they belong, generally the newer stuff is at the end of the dialogue file, making sure that the format is correct and everything. i don��t think the file cares about specifically WHERE the dialogue is, considering different characters have them differently, but just make sure stuff’s grouped correctly. otherwise, it should work just fine! an easy way to tell if it worked is to run the mod with these changes, and if the game DOESN’T crash when trying to run it, it should be fine!

and if you want/need any other specific help, feel free to ask me, i’ve made a couple other character mods before and it’s a lot of fun!! hopefully this helps at least a bit though, and well, hopefully you’ll end up liking my Fakey mod once it’s done as well (i’m trying to make sure it’s different enough that it’s unique!) 😁❤️

i don't get why ppl keep making art or fics of mori being abusive towards dazai (doesn't make sense bc it won't contribute to his goals and even actively hurt them, ooc for their type of relationship etc) when guys . dazai has a whole backstory we don't know of. you can just put the abuse there 👍

out of curiosity, how are two of the jrwi characters not human but still white? i don't listen anymore but I saw your spreadsheet (well made, funny) also would love your thoughts on the names of the poc characters

Glad you asked! For most of the non-human characters, they were anthropomorphic animals so they didn't have any skin color for me to chart. However, Rumi and Runt aren't human, but have human qualities to them!

Rumi (left) is a shapeshifter who takes 3 separate forms over the course of the campaign. Not human by dnd standards, and could have any (humanoid/anthropomorphic) form in the entire world! She stays white for all 3 forms though.

Runt (right) is a mousegirl, who comes from an underground city filled with animal-people. One of the other members of the party in that campaign is a literal owl, so she could've been a full animal like him! For some reason though, she's white. Sad!

And if you're asking about device, from the very first time I start digital art until now, I only use an old wacom intuos pen tablet. As for beginners actually I don't really know since I've been only using this one device up until now😂 I choose that pen tablet at first only because I think that time it's the cheapest one😂😂 but I heard ipad is beginner friendly? Since it seems handy and you can draw directly on surface like on paper?? (i really want to try it too tbh..)

My way of drawing stylized character based on real people is to remember: use references!!!, proportion matters, unique features (what makes them not like others?), and character’s usual expressions😉

Also sorry it's just a little sketch, I was afraid my laptop couldn't make it if I record whole painting (it could take a whole day)😅 Or does anyone here have app/software recommendations for making timelapse vids??
