flashfoward 2 weeks: i start getting anonymous dms on insta/tiktok and comments from hate accs with my face as the profile pic. telling me im horrible, need a life, ugly, should kms, deserve to be (insert crime here) blah blah. i reach out to mutual friend of me and my ex. mutual friend (in my ex's friendgroup since high school) spills his guilty guts and sends tons and tons of screenshots. turns out, my ex and high school friend group would send almost every post, story, and video of mine to their groupchat, make fun of me, and my ex was IN ON ITTTT!!!! ("ur girlfriend is a whore" "yeah dude i know lol") AND THEYVE BEEN DOING IT SINCE 2020!!!! anyways i make a tiktok about it. he sees it. gets angy. tells everyone i’m lying to my followers. gets even more angy when my other friend (200k+ on tiktok) reposts my storytime

now i still have dms and comments about how horrible i am and mutual friends telling me hes talking about everything i post! like everything. he has fake accs watching my shit!!!!

so in the last month ive been on holiday and then got sucked into inazuma eleven, since i was alresdy playing it ill give a short summary of what i thought (plus inaxuma eleven 2) and also the anime!!! (though shorter bc i watched it in a dub of a language i barely know) ill try and play all the inazuma eleven 3 games, i only watched the first season of inazuma eleven go tho.

inazuma eleven 1: it was great!!!! unfortunately ive been endeared to bobby shearers. also i thought the erik plotline went nowhere but i was supposed to get him before kirkwood.... the last battle i beat by mere happenstance, whoops!!! i lovedit tho. ALSO someone pls answer this: are zeus like.... genetically modified humans????? cuz it neverr gets answered, ray darks way of speaking was SO VAGUE. like is the research abt the boys or the steroids????

also nellys so cool i love her. the anime was super cool, but i was confused with its 127 eps since i only played the first game so i thought it mightve been like some anime only stuff??? turns out theres more than one inazuma eleven game.

i think the anime adapted the game pretty well, from what i could understand but i thought celia was way meaner abt jude in the game??? idk if its bc she has the “im gonna end ur life” face all the time in that game that made me think that though.... probably since shes like way more "innocent and cute" in the second game (todd ironside is so wrird i HATE HIMM in the first game)

Anyways, the mass amounts of internalised racism within fandoms created by Snow White's descendants is actually insane. Even crazier in this fandom bc let's be fr, it may be small but it is HELLA diverse in here, when it comes to actual ppl anyway...them ocs tho...

That anon last night (and many others bc yall LOVE to yap abt POC but nobody holds the cloudy crusaders accountable) nobody is saying anyone owes anyone rep, but it's also unfair to Erik to say that his writing is "slanted" by his white privilege. When he literally has tons of POC coded characters which is why the fandom mainly agrees that they r infact POC, confirmed or not that counts as a representation of our lived experience. And I cannot stress this enough, the characters and Erik are not the same. Yes he pours a little of himself in all of his characters I like to think, but a character is never truly a direct reflection of it's writer. Project all you want they're still not identical, meaning they 9 times outta 10 are gonna have a different life experience, background, beliefs, habits, ethnicity etc. Also meaning that there was probably research done on others' experiences, which yall obviously can't be bothered to do bc all ur ocs r either a cloud, whipped cream or fucking reflective. So if anyone's writing is tainted by privilege it's YALLS.

And imma use myself as an example bc I used to do this shit too, which is probably why it pisses me off so bad. Back a couple years ago when I originally found redacted, all my OCs were originally supposed to b white men....dramatic pause, however comma, with this thing called growth and accountability I learned that, that was in fact internalised racism AND sexism because I had lived my life wishing I could be exactly that. White. A cis man. I don't think yall get it, there was internalised. self. loathing. Fueled by the racism and sexism that I had been taught. And it is a choice you gotta make to open your fucking eyes and hold yourselves accountable bc this goes so much deeper than just yalls endless Taylor Swift clones.

the fandom has a habit of completely viewing alexis's character through a black and white lense despite erik very clearly writing multi faceted characters that are more than meets the eye. alexis is either reduced to an entirely bad and evil villain for the fandom to hate, disproprtionate to the amount of hate other antagonist's receive at that (btw 200% because of misogyny), OR she is completely sexualized. in either case she is treated as an object without any consideration for her as a character. and this really ties in with my point of alexis being the only one to be portrayed as UNAMBIGUOUSLY black. other characters may get a darker skin tone, implying they are poc, but alexis is the only one to have not only visibly ethnic features, but BLACK features.

because black women can only ever fit into the role of a stereotype. the only way we are seen as anything other than the aggressors is if we can provide sexual pleasure or other services for non black people, and even then we are still demonized.

if the only characters you draw as poc/dark skinned are either aggressive and violent or reduced to being a sexual object you ARE being racist and i won't argue with anybody.

and i'm literally BEGGING white artists to do more than just slap a tanner skin tone on their characters and call it a day. put in the effort to actually draw ethnic features, everything else is just half-assed and disrespectful. ethnic features can be drawn in any art style, yes, even in anime styles.

and heavy on the "draw softer characters as poc"!! i promise you, you can draw lasko and geordie as dark skinned pocs, the world will not end.

also another thing i've noticed is huxely being one of the few characters that non black people see as black but then also going "yeah he's definitely a stoner 🤣🤣🤣". side eye. like seeing huxely as a black character is in and of itself 100% fine but if he's like your only black character and you insist on him smoking weed then you are also reducing him to a racist stereotype.

and on a final note, you can have a cast of entirely black characters, if none of them are darkskinned except for the ones you deem bad and aggressive and dangerous, you are also part of the problem.

Okay, so sorry ahead in advance for the essay. I don't know if ur audience is really interested in this topic, or if you yourself are but i am tired and my filter is off. So I'm just gonna ramble Abt pas de deux.

Anyways, this is mainly coming off from the fact that I find classical music CRIMINALLY underrated. However, I'm so happy to see Pas Des Deux get appreciated the way it is. There's something ethereal about the song. I firmly believe that music isn't only to be used in entertainment but also to envoke feels that may be otherwise hard to express. Music feels like a universal language, whether or not you know how to play instruments or understand the lyrics. Imo, pas de deux is one song that HITS it on the nail.

There's something about the song which touches on intimate feelings, of yearning and wanting and comfort. The lower string instruments bringing a warmth, where as flutes and the harp bring in an innocence. The way Tchaikovsky layered the instruments to not only build upon eachother but let the story stay woven thru the transferring melodies. Admittedly, I'm very emotional myself, but over music? It's difficult.

Like i said before, music is there to envoke feelings to the audience, to bring joy or comfort. A lot of lyrical songs and pieces do it easily so, and they could be powerful. There's nothing more heartbreaking than to listen to a lover sing about her gray days without her spouse or of children singing about their innocent world. Even with some instrumental pieces, some specific feelings are easy to bring out, and that's honestly my favorite part about music.

What stood out to me for a song like pas Des Deux is the way it brings in so many feelings. Yes, there's a main story the ballet follows. However, even outside of the ballet plot, there's something so unique about the song, in the way that it feels as if it's touching innocence, yearning, the way someone might seek comfort of to their close ones. The listener just doesn't have to interpret it one way. Between the climax, to me, it sounds like separation of family, of heartbreak and loneliness and despair. And as soon as the music gets the angst with the brass instruments, the strings and the woodwinds lift it, like hope or comfort.

The ending is absolutely beautiful too. The song leaves such an otherworldly feeling. I've literally cried at how beautiful it is, it's just one of those things. No matter if you're in the most comfortable place in your life or struggling. The music just.../feels/ like your heart and your head. There's something about the song that just makes me feel human, makes me feel alive. Sometimes, it feels comforting as if it's calling a feeling deep beneath that i can't describe. Other times, it makes me realize how comfortably I live and even helps bring peace. Idk man, just one of my favorite songs.

Anyways, i don't know much about Tchaikovsky s history nor the song's. I just wanted to rambling about music whilst sleep deprived for anyone interested bc this is a topic that's been following me for weeks of not months, the beauty of music <3 and how i find pas des deux one of the BEST songs in the entire existence for myself. There's something about that song just feels insanely human, insanely close to our feelings.

I pretty much grew up with classical music because a lot of famous composers are from Germany/Austria, so it was like part of Kindergarten and school to listen to them here and there and go to concerts where an orchestra played those. (One of my teachers fell asleep during one of those concerts and we’ve made fun of that for ages lmao.)

erik is a 40 or 50 something year old kissless virgin who has never had a normal social interaction in his whole life his only real social skills are 1) hide from ppl 2) trick ppl into thinking he's a ghost/angel 3) murder ppl thats it those are his only means of getting what he wants from people the only relationships he has that come even a little bit close to normal is with madame giry and the persian and even then he still lies to them so with all this in mind it's obvious that he's completely inexperienced and unequipped to navigate a romantic and/or sexual relationship which means he has neither the charisma nor the confidence to be seductive and sexy thats why in order to get a girl to talk to him he decided to pretend to be a supernatural being instead of just being himself and when he does start being himself things go downhill instantly because as an angel he had power over christine and his interactions with her plus it allowed him to keep a (metaphorical and literal) wall between them to protect himself but as just a guy he's much more vulnerable and he is absolutely not emotionally mature enough to deal with being in a position where he has to talk to her and be in the same room with her as an equal which is why he tries to control her throughout the book through force (kidnapping her, threatening to kill everyone including himself if she doesn't become his waifu, etc) maybe if he had just been normal and brought her flowers or something after a performance and went from there things could've worked out better between them but the other thing is that she's like 20 something, he's old enough to be her father which on it's own isn't great but even if everything went exactly how he wanted and she married him in like. 10.. 20, maybe 30 years she'd have to dump his ass into a retirement home but also in the meantime sex could be a problem because my man is not only middle aged and a virgin he's also been living in a cellar for ??? years so you know he's gotta be physically as well as mentally unwell by now how likely is it that peepaw can keep up with someone in their 20s he doesn't seem very sexually motivated in the book like he was fully prepared to never take his mask off around christine until she yoinked it so i doubt he would've dropped his pants like any kind of physical intimacy just never seemed to occur to him until the very end and all that was was the most chaste kiss imaginable and even with that he was super timid about it erik did you really think you could just do card tricks and play music all day for your wife and she would be happy about it??? you didn't think that if you managed to get a wife that she might want you to fuck her??? if you don't have low self esteem now you definitely will when you realize her recovery time is 10 minutes and yours is.. much much longer and given how good he is at dealing with people and his own emotions (sarcasm) it would definitely become an issue i'm mostly talking about leroux erik here but i think some of this still applies to the younger and hotter alw erik like if u think that he's a sexy dude you've fallen for the front he puts up anyway all this is to say that i think the thing where christine is soo horny about him that she runs back and has wild nasty sex with him at the last minute sucks like if ur gonna do that with your adaptation at least do what susan kay did and have him die afterwards (death by pussy is funny)

idk i just think the reason erik is sexy is not because he is sexy. its because when you peel back the paper thin and incredibly performative veneer of sexiness he puts up you see that he's actually the most pathetic and irritating lil guy you'll ever meet underneath. and i think thats special. smiles

like the entire premise is that erik (the phantom in the book) grew up shunned and was literally a subject of a human zoo all because he was born disfigured. and he was outcast to the point where he had to live in the shadows and not show his face so everyone either thought he was a ghost or a monster. but he's just HUMAN and he craves human connection and a muse and he just wants to be LOVEDDDDD and christine was the only person who saw him but even then half of that was pity. and like fine if you include the sequel love never dies she does truly love him but just from the book/musical she leaves for something better and it's SO SAD

but yeah i've been sitting on this... i could write a fic but i've also had a vision of drawing them in this scene specifically (wanted to do one for good omens too but never got around to finishing it)

but also i've been wanting to draw wade in this masquerade outfit too just because it's gorgeous and always catches my eye

Personally I don’t think he’d get in the way much if you tried to abuse substance like that within reason. Not only is he a fan of drinking, he probably uses it frequently enough and in such damning quantity sometimes that the ldb would have every right to call him a hypocrite if he said anything LOL

That being said, if you were obviously looking to deal some serious damage to your body with constant and copious amount of alcohol or drugs, I think he’d bring it up then. He’ll probably say it’s affecting your performance as a fighter and that you’re gonna get the both of you killed at this rate, a perfectly reasonable explanation behind the intervention that helps hide the fact that he feels for your pain a bit. If Inigo’s in the team he might just let him do all the talking since honestly Nebs doesn’t rlly consider himself the comforting type with this stuff, but if there’s really no one else to do it then he’ll step up. Just in an effort to save the sorry ass of his employer, of course.

Ok sorry tangent over: I don’t think Nebarra would help you out or even really mention it unless you brought it up. If you wanna talk about it, he’s there, but he relies on his own experience to determine what he should do about handling other people’s pain, and his own experience is that he doesn’t feel great when people go poking around old wounds with him. He’ll assume it’s the same for you unless you tell him otherwise, at which point he may bring up the effects that war has had on the both of you in an attempt to relate and make you feel less alone. Nebs has no real advice to offer you when it comes to how to handle this stuff, but he gets what you’re going through and at least in his mind that’s worth more than half-baked advice from people who haven’t gone through it. Also he’s gotten pretty good at distracting himself over the years, so if you ever need a fun night on the town that ends with you getting a hefty bounty then he’s your man
