Limbo is an obsession of mines thanks to how well written they are and heian kyo kind of cements it, theres sooo much depth, i usually joke “they’re everything at once” and by that I mean a nice guy a bad guy an evil guy a good guy a confident guy an insecure guy. Etc all at the same time, I can’t wait until NA catches up so I can fully read translated heian kyo and lose my mind once I read the events I caught in snippets here and there about douman

I finished watching she-ra yesterday! I decided to watch it after seeing your posts on my dash a lot and watched the whole thing in just over a week. Can you recommend some more she-ra blogs to follow?

i’ve recced blogs before but i barely knew anyone back when i did that. this time i know a couple more people and even tho im not like miss popular nor do i talk to every one i’ll do a blog rec that’s a tiny bit more thorough! @catralatina mar is unfairly big brained. they are galaxy brained and make incredible posts and they get really good asks too! so if you’re looking for a blog who’s got good rapport w their followers, look no further! also they are a talented writer and i saw some of their art it’s good. one time they posted a picture from an atla comic and i thought they drew it. it was very embarrassing <3 but yes if you’re not following them u should!!

A handful of hot cardboard takes

So due to having assignment work to do and a relatively busy day tomorrow, I’m going to be writing both today and tomorrow’s blog articles tonight. Unnnnfortunately, it’s approaching 11PM, and I haven’t even figured out what I’m writing this one about- it has to be relatively short, since I don’t have that much time, and I want the tomorrow one to be an album, and that always takes time, and ehhhh…

I guess it’s been a hot second (read: a week exactly) since I talked about Magic, so that’ll do. But what specifically?

I mean, I guess there’s these new spoilers to go on about. I guess I’m hotting some takes.

First of all, we have the D&D set, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. I feel like this set’s creation was inevitable. WoTC has had D&D and Magic for decades now, and the only crossover we got was the Un-Card Sword of Dungeons and Dragons? And yet fucking Walking Dead got a whole-ass secret lair? Yeah no way this wasn’t happening. So far we only have 5 cards, so one by one I suppose.

Tiamat was obviously going to be a thing, but she feels exceptionally underwhelming. Admittedly, cramming her massive list of abilities and flavour into one 2.5 by 3.5 inch card was going to be difficult, but this is just meh. She finds five dragons, whoop de fucking do. This is never going to see any play outside of Commander, and I can’t imagine picking her to lead your 5-colour Dragons deck above The Ur-Dragon, it’s Scion, or even Morophon. And, I’m all for underrated jank commanders, but I also don’t like tutors, and if you’ve ever resolved Conflux (which this kinda feels like) you know it can be a huge pain. A solid Meh/10. I do like that they didn’t give her an epithet, though.

The Vorpal Sword is actually pretty sick. Not only is it a cheap coloured equipment that slots great into Black/X Voltron Commander lists, not only is it an alternative wincon that isn’t complete shit but also requires going all in and is very interactable, but I actually think this has a slot in cubes interested in Black Aggro, Black Artifacts, or both. The arts for this card look sick aas hell, and I’m extremely interested in seeing in snicker-snack someone to death.

I was wondering whether or not Halfling was going to be a creature type, and that question got answered fairly quick. Citizen on the typeline is interesting considering it’s only been seen on 4 token producers so far (and also Mobilized District becomes one), and the recent Edgewall Innkeeper being a peasant. I guess this guy is too prosperous for the peasantry.

Oh, the card itself? Well, I was never a fan of Wily Goblin, but I don’t really think that’s why we’re here. This charming fellow is a second Green Soul Sister, supporting the Witherbloom lifegain archetype from Strixhaven, and it’s nice to see colours other than White (and occasionally, Black) get to do life things. It’s always been secondary (tertiary? They don’t get lifelink) in green, or only on shite cards, so it getting pushed is an interesting twist.

It is an utter tragedy that you can put a Bag of Holding in a Portable Hole in Magic now, and it doesn’t even do anything. I get the feeling this is going to be either everywhere or nowhere, though I’m leaning towards the latter. Any permanent type is really nice, but 2 or less is restrictive enough that this misses way more often than you’d like. But, if it ends up being good, you’re going to see a lot of Portable Holes exiling Portable Holes, and that’s just kinda funny.

Isn’t there supposed to be a colon in there? This is just a more splashable, flavour-twisted variant of Victim of Night- though that card ends up being one of the best Terrors Mono-Black gets to run, out of a long long list. This, unfortunately, is a bit worse than that is in competitive formats, and considerably worse in EDH where giant Angels, Demons, and Dragons are often the targets you want to tell to die. I’m just going to stick with Doom Blade. And Go for the Throat. And Snuff Out and Hero’s Downfall and Victim of Night and Heartless Act and

So, I actually really like these basics, but specifically for this set. Box text is an essential part of D&D, and putting it on the basics is just a lovely bit of flavour. I don’t know if they’ve said whether every basic variant is going to have this, but I kinda hope they do. The art for these is top fucking notch, too. I’m not convinced this should be a permanent thing though.

 But of course, that’s not the only set we have spoilers for, because Magic Spoiler Season is a sine wave of hype now and it will never end. Modern Horizons 2: because the first one didn’t fuck enough formats up. That’s not very fair, that set was cool as fuck, but in my eyes that’s for the kookier designs rather than the bonkers powerful shit. More Throes of Chaos, less Hogaak. Anyway, we’ve got 3 new cards and some reprints, so let’s get into them.

I’m really not sure how to feel about this art, but hey, that’s just my opinion. Brainstone is a solid role-player in all sorts of artifacty, eggsy decks, probably the best Egg we’ve seen in a while. It’s going right in my Radha deck, I’ll tell you that much. Considering how expensive the worst card ever made, Sensei’s Divining Top, is getting, having a colourless topdeck manipulation option that’s likely not too spenno is nice, even if it’s a oneshot. I like it.

Oh, haha, it’s Lion’s Eye Diamond but they drew the rest of the fucking Lion. While this looks absolutely gorgeous, it doesn’t go into Cat tribal, and I’m not that much of a degenerate, so meh. For real though, this doesn’t actually look broken to me- LED is powerful because it’s a lotus, whereas this takes that and makes it a slow, multi-turn Pyretic Ritual. I also don’t think having an LED effect in Modern does much for the format, so. Eh?

Ok, here’s the one everyone’s talking about. Urza’s Saga is such a slam-dunk on a meta level. It’s a card named after a set, a fun reversal of Time Spiral block all being named after cards, and considering Modern Horizons was basically Time Spiral 2 I wouldn’t be surprised if MH2 was TSP3. It’s also an Enchantment Land but doesn’t look like it, referencing the fact that Urza’s block was actually Enchantment Matters but no-one remembers that because basically none of those cards were the good ones. This card is blatantly powerful, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see it pop up in a loooot of decks in various formats. In commander, this is a land for 3 turns that then turns into a Sol Ring, while also maybe making you a token or two and maybe even finding a weird hate piece or combo machine (…or Top) instead. In Modern or Legacy, it tutors for all sorts of nonsense, while making potential threats for artifact decks in the land slots. This card, while slow, has potential to be patently absurd, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was banned in at least one format by the end of the year. We’ll see which ones.

Counterspell in modern is something a very specific group of people were counting for. Personally, it’s not the vintage spell I would have been hyped for, I was wanting Swords, but here we are. I almost feel, however, that Counterspell’s potential in Modern has been wasted at this point. Like, how many decks are even running Mana Leak these days? And how many of those decks want to be holding up UU on turn 2? Because in a fast format like this, Mana Leak might as well be Counterspell most of the time. The new art is baller, ill give it that.

I…don’t know enough about how this card is in Legacy Death and Taxes to know how well it would be in Modern Death and Taxes. It seems pretty good? I like that they’re doing old-border reprints again, though, that was like the only good thing behind Time Spiral Remastered.

Fucking Finally. With that said, I’m not convinced that finally reprinting these fetches is going to keep the price down much, and for long- the Horizon lands from MH1 see a fair bit less play, and they are creeping up to $20 a pop for some of them at this point. I guess if you need them, buy them now, because they aren’t going to stay low. It’s going to take more than a single reprint in a premium product before I’m satisfied in the reprint quality.

 Anyway, that’s the lot of them. My takes on these cards was probably a bit chiller than what you’d see from someone who’s actually in the know of competitive formats these days, but if you came here for serious analysis, then I’m not sure what to tell you. More well-thought-out Magic talk, uhh, next time I talk about Magic.

sometimes when you remove doubles from the entire mesh, it makes weird shadows (you can see them in solid mode) that are super dark. Edge splitting gets rid of them without causing a seam to show in the mesh

Not Vibing + Nostalgia | Doing the Write Thing #47

Dudes. My writing life has just been so weird lately.

I’m not really vibing with this book right now. I don't know why. Kind of a bummer, but it happens. That’s okay. The important part is, I’ve been writing. Though to put it out there, I’m in an editing + outlining mood. Not a drafting mood. Does anyone else feel that way too sometimes? I mean, editing and outlining are still SO important, but for some reason, my stubborn brain refuses to believe I’m being productive if I’m not writing. Even if I’m outlining a million chapters a day, I still can’t feel content with my productivity. It’s weird. But yeah, anyway. Not vibing with you, FOSTERED #5. Not vibing.

Like I mentioned one of my ALL TIME favourite bands (right behind The Strokes, like SO close behind The Strokes sort of) Daughter, is releasing a new album on September 1st. I about died. I talked to @sssoto​ about this after noticing they posted an ominous uncaptioned photo yesterday, and I can’t believe it actually happened.

It’s actually a score to the new Life Is Strange video game, but GUYS. Daughter just released their second album at the very start of 2016, and I don't think anyone was expecting them to release something so huge so soon. I’ve been screaming all day because of this news if you know what I mean. ;)

They released one of the songs off the album today called Burn It Down, and I’m just going to leave it here because I'm afraid I’ll just type in all caps like OMG GUYZ ITS SO GOODZ so to avoid embarrassing myself:

The lyrics are absolutely amazing. I adore everything Daughter because Elena writes every lyric with such care and has such amazing word choice. Honestly look at me being a writer commenting on word choice in lyrics. ;) I can’t help it. She’s honestly an amazing lyricist.

So I got a little carried away there. Daughter is greatness.

So Surf Curse released their second album Nothing Yet this year. I’m a chronological music listener, so if I like a band, I have to like them A LOT because I buy every album and listen to them in order. I’m not a single song listener. Like, there are so many single songs I love from other bands but I’m such an awful music listener, I won’t listen to them until I fall in love. Basically, any band I listen to is a favourite band.

(I’m so sorry, I’d love music recs though if you have any. I genuinely do love when people do that. :) I apologize for my weird music habits though. Genuinely don't know what’s up with that, lol.)

My point was, I finally got Nothing Yet. My sister, best friend and I (with my brotherz cuz lol) are going to see them, and obviously they’re going to play songs from this album. I’ll admit, this album doesn't have the classic ‘Surf Curse’ sound, but I’m so down for Nothing Yet.

Nothing Yet is a lot more indie than punk but aaaaahahhahaha guess who’s living for it.

Favourite songs so far (I’ve only listened to it once full through since I just got it but): Falling Apart, All Is Lost, Nostalgia, Sleeping, and Christine F.

This isn’t related at all to my writing session tonight but.

So that’s it for the writing update! That’s actually not it though! So before I really started blogging, a few really special people in my life did some really amazingly sweet things for the FOSTERED books (+ I’M DISAPPOINTED), and I wanted to stroll down memory lane and talk about it.

EDIT: So I just took 3 hours to find all of these images. I had to scroll through my Instagram which has over 2000 photos on it... Like sometimes I wish I could go back and tell my 12 year old self that literally no one cares but alas. I’ve blurred all handles etc out because my (and everyone else mentioned here) Instagram is private, sooo that’s exclusive to friends and family.

I talked to her about this recently, and apparently she still gets mad over this. Oh boy.

Random Thoughts That Have Nothing to do With Anything

    I don't have anything specific in mind to post here, and it'll probably take a few days to compile a full list of random topics that are interesting enough to put here into text form. At this point in time, none of these things contain enough substance to warrant their own blog post, so I'm just going to leave them here for now with some potential updates in the future.

    Random Topic #1: The Momo Challenge

    You know that creepy image of the Japanese sculpture that's been circulating the internet lately? If not, then you don't have the right people on your friends list or aren't following the right groups, because that thing is ALL over the place right now. I've seen it show up a couple of times in my Facebook feed (as I don't use WhatsApp), and based on my two seconds of researching it for myself as well as what my wife has told me, it's an account on WhatsApp that actively bullies and intimidates kids. My wife and I drew similarities between that and all the chain letters that used to come into our email inboxes as young'n's, and I have a particular memory in mind from when I was maybe eleven or twelve where one of my "friends" sent me one of those messages via text with a picture of a decayed body, empty eye sockets and mouth agape, staring straight into my soul. Accompanying that image was a midi version of the theme from Halloween and the obligatory text of "SHE WILL APPEAR NEXT 2 UR BED WHILE UR TRYING 2 SLEP 2NITE!!!!!!"

    Well color me convinced. I spent that entire night uncomfortably trying to sleep while facing the wall that my bed was up against. I dared not turn around until the sunlight vanquished the evils that go bump in the night, because, you know, that's how evil works. Evil sees the sun and it's like "Fuck, now I gotta wait." then it leaves and forgets about you because evil has a strict schedule and Sally Sue isn't going to just off herself.

    Obviously there's a huge difference between the Momo Challenge and those chain letters we all used to get in our emails. Kids can now be actively contacted at any time by whomever is operating the account, so it's not like they can just ignore it. I wouldn't have ignored any texts I got from a random, creepy, eye-bulging thing. I would've tried to please it in any way, shape, or form because having at least one heavily flawed friend is better than having no friends at all. But I THINK it goes a little too far when children start committing suicide at the behest of the operator. That's venturing out of prank territory and into a felony.

    Random Topic #2: Dissent

    These two aren't directly related, but I do get to have a nice transition into the next topic. I looked at the comments for the most recent posting of anything to do with the Momo Challenge, not because I actually care what people think about it, but because I've developed this horrible habit of enjoying watching the utter chaos that breaks out in comments sections over one small thing. I dare you to look at the general comments for some mass post and not find someone trying to relate it back to politics, religion, or "the gays." What I'm about to tell you is a true story, so turn off your background noise and pay attention!

    There was a news story on how a teenager robbed a younger kid at gunpoint for the money that the kid was making by running a lemonade stand. When the story popped up in my Facebook feed, as these things are wont to do, I delved into the comments section to see where the rabbit hole would go. This is about how it went:

My expectation: Video games are ruining children/parents are too soft these days/this is the problem with 'Merica these days!

Reality (Paraphrasing): I don't mean to downplay it, but this seems exactly like something a liberal would do. Why do the hard work when you can just take it from someone who's already done it.

My reaction: Lots of blinking, rereading, seeing the likes on the comment, shaking my head, and closing the comments to go about my day because that's too much internet for one man to handle.

    In my days of interneting, I've learned that you're never going to change a stranger's mind on the internet by arguing with them. It just doesn't work, don't waste your time. It's easier to comprehend quantum physics in Latin than it is to argue with a stranger on the internet.

    Random Topic #3: Comedy

    This one has absolutely nothing to do with the previous two topics, but I want to touch on it briefly. I thought a little bit yesterday about my old stand-up performances, how it felt, why I got into it, and why I may want to get back into it in the future. As I was getting my morning coffee, I had an interesting thought that hadn't crossed my mind before. Back when I performed, I was more nervous about the walk up to and down from the stage than I was about the performances. I was more self-conscious about my body then, being a nearly 350 pound man. Now I'm two 700 pound men and living proud. Goodness I loved that video, the one about the 500 pound man who became two 250 pound men. Getting back on track, I was just afraid I would slip and fall on my way up or down the stage steps. That was actually more common than I thought it would be and I was TERRIFIED. It doesn't help that all my life I've been really bad at walking. I'd twist my ankles multiple times per week just walking, so I started taking extra care not to do it.

    Anyway, back then was one of the best times of my life. When I performed was one of the few times I felt like I was in my natural element, like I belonged and I was good at something. I modeled my comedy after Mitch Hedberg and Stephen Wright: primarily one-liner jokes, some elongated to join one thought and another. I wrote five minutes of new material every week, learned it all, and then went on stage to perform. I was very proud of myself at the time for writing all of that new material, even if I did have to keep my set list with me on stage. I think I'll still make a full blog post about my stint in stand-up because there's a lot of ground to cover even if I did only perform about seven or eight times over the past few years. It's just been on my mind and I wanted to touch on it here.

    It's time for me to get the work day started, make that paper, pay those bills, and then go to the grocery store because our refrigerator, freezer, and pantry have been EMPTY the past couple of days. It's probably going to be a pretty dead weekend as far as blog posts and Facebook page updates, but we'll get back into the full swing of things on Monday. Okay, so, I haven’t really had the privelege or the resources to actually find out whether or not I like to travel, but as long as I’m traveling with someone I love I’ll be happy with wherever I go. I’ve kind of always had this dream for so long to go on a MASSIVE road trip and meet up with aaaaaaalllll the online friends I’ve made over the years. 2) Whats ur fave animal? A 3-way tie between a squirrel, a turtle, and an owl. So.... a squirtlowl. OMG if u drew a squirtowl for me I will teasure it forever and be forever urs. like... it has to have a turtle shell and a squirrel tail. wait fuck I literally just described squirtle. nvm i feel stupid now. draw me a squirtle anyway if u want tho ill frame it and cherish it 3) Where did u grow up? UNFORTUNATELY in New Jersey, where all my trauma happened, and I’m never setting foot in that hell-state again! I’d literally rather be homeless than live in New Jersey (and I already made that choice this winter break lol). Circling back to question 1, addendum- literally anywhere in the world *EXCEPT new jersey. never again. america’s armpit. new york’s garbage dump. the shadowy place we don’t talk about. new jersey?? i dont know her. what is that a hockey term?? an ice cream topping?? who knows. not me, thats for sure 4) Whats ur favorite color? Grey! It sounds depressing, but I think it’s really, really poetic. In my opinion it’s one of the most expressive and versatile colors. It can mean so many things. Rain and storm clouds, which can either be saddening or provide a feeling of coziness depending on your mood when it happens. Old photographs. Pencil sketches. Wilting flowers. It’s a color of connection and compromise to me too, cause black and white are possible the most opposite colors available to us and grey unites them so beautifully. But it’s also the color of uncertainty, of the unknown. And uncertainty means potential. I guess it gives me hope. 5. Describe ur dream date Okay, I’ve had to think about this one the longest out of any of these questions. Lots of different thoughts and reflections on other first dates I had while considering this. I mean, you probably know this by now, but I’m just gonna say it again: I’m SUCH a romantic. Like, first dates are just as important to me as first kisses and first words, and how two people meet. I’m a really sentimental and emotional person and I live within my memories a lot, so I always revist firsts. By far, the best first date I ever had was with Ali. They were my very first college friend and I have so many good memories of them, so many. My very first day of Hampshire, in my very first class (my tutorial) they walked up to me and said “you look JUST like my best friend from home, I had to do a double take��� and I was like “YOU ALSO LOOK LIKE MY BEST FRIEND (lucas, at the time) THAT’S WHY I KEPT STARING AT YOU” and it was crazy and we became friends really quickly. I had already been freinds with them for a year by the time they asked me out on a date-date, which I think is also part of what made that date so great. If I already know the person, it’s going to be a lot more special for me, which is why going on a date as a way to start getting to know someone has never really worked for me. My all-time favorite and most artistic journal I have is kind of centered around them, partly. Actually, I’m just now realizing that all my journals accidentally center around a relationship I had at the time, interesting enough. I’d love to go through it all in detail when we get together and look through my journals later, but in short the memory of the date itself is very vivid for me. Like, thinking about that memory now is so much more vivid than life is right now in this moment as im typing this, and I’m not sure what that means yet. Like, I’m always dissociated and withdrawn in the moment but when I reflect on memories it feels more real than the present. Probably because my past has always dominated my life, but that’s something I’m working on. But I think what made that date so incredibly special and memorable to me is that they gave me a very certain look that’s etched into my memory. It was almost the same way Lucas looked at me. When he looked at me, I felt like... I mattered. And no one else has ever looked at me the same way he did. Ali came the closest to making me feel that way again, even if it was just a fraction of it, it was unforgettable. I just crave that certain intimacy and connection more than anything in the world. The date itself was charmingly simple, just walking aorund Hampshire and picking flowers for each other (and pressing them to put in our respective journals), then later we laid in the grass and stargazed for hours, just the two of us. But it doesn’t really matter, the point is that if i feel a little less alone, and the world feels a little less scary, and my past feels a little bit farther away, and the hateful voice in my head quiets down, even if it’s just for a few hours, it’s a GREAT first date. <3

It’s actually a rule Bakugou put down for himself for a number of reasons, half related to his own safety and the safety of the person he’s dating, the other half to the fact that Bakugou hates lying, but (again for safety reasons) he can’t just go around telling everyone what he’s doing - he doesn’t want a relationship in which he’d just contantly lie to his partner and ditch them for vigilante work without being able to explain them what’s going on, so he put down the rule as soon as he decided he wanted to do this. Well, he hadn’t been interested in relationships anyway before Kirishima, so it was an easy decision to take at the time - now though...

YEH it’s one of the reasons why Bakugou still hasn’t figured out Red is Kiri haha thought if you’re asking for the logistics of that, I can’t say I spent too long thinking about it? We can always call it temporary hair dye spry or something like that, but to be fair it’s not like it matters all that much lmao I just needed Baku to be unable to tell it was him easily haha

Oh that’s an hc I see around a lot! Personally I stil prefer them sorta the same size tho ???? with the only difference being Baku being lithe and Kiri being a tank, I think it has to do with the whole “complementary equals” theme they have going on, I like for it to be visually represented too ??? maybe, I had never really thought about the hows or whys of this preference tbh lmao

Firstly, thank you so much for the compliments!!! I don’t know how useful exactly any advice I could give you will be, since most of it comes from drawing a lot and watching drawings even more, but in general to pick a pose usually what I do is think of the scene as if in movement? As in, what the characters are doing, and how they’d move if I were looking at them while doing it - keeping in mind the characters personalities helps me with this a lot too. 

Take for example the confessions drawings I’ve posted a couple of days ago: it’s true that there’s no words nor movement anywhere in them, but as I drew them I had a pretty clear idea of what they were saying and how the characters would react in those situations - Jirou’s shy and easily flustered, so she’s averting her eyes, unable to keep eye contact, and closing in on herself a bit, hiding her face and so on; in the concept, Kaminari was the one who confessed, so he’s holding her hand, tentative, because he’s unsure about how she’s gonna answer (it’s all stuff that didn’t actually make it in the drawing, how he reached for her hand, how he’s gonna close his other hand around her knuckles, but in my head it was a complete scene and I just picked one frame of it all to draw). The same goes for Bakugou and Kirishima - they’re rowdier, louder, more assertive and inclined to take everything as a fight, so this time around I went for a scene in which Bakugou straight out yells his feelings at Kirishima and Kirishima answers me too (again, I had the before and after in my head too, I just picked the frame that best coveyed what I was trying to do)

As I said I’m usure about how much this might help you orz it’s just my way of doing things, and it mostly comes from the fact that I was originally a writer honestly, so thinking of a whole scene makes things easier for me #rip

Well, this is just the feeling I got, but I’d say they do plenty for each other quietly and softly in canon too, don’t they? Bakugou especially, pointing out to Kirishima his strength when he can’t see it for himself and always trying to find a way to cheer him up when he’s down and giving him space when he needs it, training together, studying together, worrying over one another, Kiri making sure to always know what’s up with Bakugou and following him to help him, just generally being there for each other so that if and when they need they’ll know they’ll have someone they can lean on - their relationship is really mutually supportive, isn’t it? I cry so much they make me so happy ;^; *sob*

What is it that you don’t like? Can you break it down to smaller things? Is it the line work or the coloring style, or even just the way you draw eyes or hands or noses? If you can focus on the smaller parts of what you don’t like in your style you can then look up a way to do the same thing that you do like, and practice that till you’re satisfied with it! One small thing might not mean much by itself, but putting all these small things together is how you make improvement happen :D

Everything by Memphis is A+ and I love it so if you haven’t you should check out more stuff by them ( No Ordinary Love is super nice, That’s Just Life is very dear to me and so is Divinity, Speechless is… my otp song for every otp ever tbh) -  Bring Me The Horizon is my fav post-hardcore band and both MMF and Chiodos are that genre so if you don’t know them give them a try! (Blasphemy, Run and Doomed are between my faves out of the latest album, and since you liked Under Your Halo you’re probably gonna like Follow You too) the album right before is amazing too if you’re okay with less melodic stuff, but the further back you go with BMtH the harder to listen to they get, just a heads up - Sleeping With Sirens are on the softer side of post-hardcore lately, Fly, Left Alone, Trouble, Fire and Empire To Ashes are some great ones, between the many, and, uhhhh, at this point I might have recced Nothing More a hundred times but let’s make it a hundred and one, try Funny Little Creatures, Do You Really Want It and Go To War out of the newest album! If you’re into punk and female voices you should check out Tonight Alive too, Jenna has one of my two fav female voices in rock right now (Crack My Heart and Temple are the latest two songs out!) and since I always rec stuff but I never rec anything by my favorite band ever, you ever heard of Alter Bridge? They’re more towards hard-rock/alternative metal, but check out Blackbird, Fortress, I Know It Hurts, Cradle To The Grave and Broken Wings just to make it one for every album I really, really adore this band and everything they ever made

It’s not a stupid question, don’t worry!! But I generally like to leave myself in Horikoshi’s hands for this sort of stuff, since I both enjoy the costumes as they are AND don’t want to be disappointed in case what I hope for doesn’t actually happen - that said, I’ve mentioned before that I’d really like Aoyama to get redirectors for his laser on his palms and for Kaminari to get a close combat weapon, since with the quirk he has anything metal would actually work wonders for him! He mentioned a sword, but I rest my case that tonfas would be cool, I really want him to use tonfas. A “costume” I don’t understand is Hagakure’s, by the way - would be nice if she got an actual costume and also I don’t really get why she’d wear gloves at all?? Mirio’s costume was made using his hair, I really want her to get something similar! That’s about it tho, I haven’t really thought much about anyone else in that sense~

But I can’t find it so I guess to sum it up I mostly think at some point it’d just become something both of them have talked about throught the years enough times that by then it’ll just be something they are gonna do, sooner or later, and when it’ll happen it’ll be more like “we have a stable income and a house and a dog and a cat and are p much already married we should really do this already” - in a scenario like that either of the two works, for me haha

Thank you so much for liking my kids!!!! ;O; and sadly I can’t tell you too much about them cause their story is a bit still up in the air as far as details go, but in general they used to be best friends back when they were kids, then the accident that gave Leo his scars happened and for reason they lost track of each other for a long while - they met again recently, tho! Leo’s been in love with Max since they were babies and being able to talk to him and interact with him again makes him incredibly happy/mushy/soft but also absurdly and unreasonably overprotective since he’s really, really scared of losing him again - Max… because of plot-related reasons hasn’t realized that Leo is the kid he used to know back when he was super young, so his falling in love with him happens as the story progresses. He finds the overprotectiveness silly and unecessary, but he doesn’t exactly mind it? He has a feeling it helps Leo more than it helps him, so he lets him do his thing. All in all, maybe Max takes more care of Leo than Leo of Max. Welp, their story is kind of a mess haha

I love this headcanon???? But also consider, if his boyfriend is Kaminari, Sero’s hair is always super staticky once he’s stopped petting it. Like, his hair just sticks in every direction, it looks super funny. Or, his boyfriend is Bakugou (or his girlfriend is Mina! same scenario plays out) and Sero has to wash his hair after Bakugou/Mina is done because their hands are dangerous and having flammable hair isn’t much fun, Neither is having acid very slowly corroding his scalp Poor boy, three out of four of my fav partners for him are dangerous for his hair haha

You’re not the only one!! That’s one of my favorite things out of bnha and also one of the reasons why I’m such a fan of the adults of the series - not all of them, but most of the guardians have a great grasp on what they should expect out of kids and what they can ask of them and what they should instead keep them away from, which I appreciate a lot. And some of them (Aizawa, Toshinori from some point on, Bakugou’s parents, Fatgum to say some) have a great understanding of the kids they’re responsible for and make decisions based on what’s right while at the same time accomodating the kids’ aspirations and dreams, which is super amazing because it doesn’t negate the fact that even if they’re just kids they’re still people, you know? They talk to them and understand them and act as guardians without clipping their wings, you never see this sort of things in media tbh so I appreciate it a lot

Well, I was about to say that maybe even if Izuku hadn’t been the last one Aizawa would have let the last one stay anyway since 1A is a pretty impressive class, but the 19th place was Mineta that time so honestly who knows. Maybe we were one step away from not having Mineta in the class and Izuku ruined it for us. Who knows. (lol)

I think I got up to when we found out that Yukio’s a demon too and then I sorta... dropped it... cause I just... couldn’t stand Shiemi at all... sorry - my faves used to be Shima and Izumo tho!!!
