Just finished Fennorian's quest in West Weald! It was fun working with Fenn again 🥹

However, for ME, I would've liked if there was more flavor text for vampire characters 😭 like us also saying the grapes are tantalizing & making us thirsty, or telling Ursilia that yes, she smells good to vampires, much to her dismay lol

And since I doubt this happens, IF you aren't playing a vampire, the quest should have had your 'mortal' character drink the wine & tempt Fennorian with that, just saying cause you know 👀

I do like that we get to see more of his alchemical knowledge though

I find it so funny that I was seconds away from naming myself Violet/Vio/Vi when I was choosing a new name for myself. Like, I had decided that I would come out to my friends on Coming Out Day, and for almost months before I'd been calling myself Vio so I'd thought I'd come out as that, of course. But then days before I was gonna come out, I named a story character Jackal and found myself loving that name. But when I wrote another story, I couldn't just name them Jackal too, so I looked online for names like it and that's how I found Fennec. And that's how I ended up becoming "Fennec" for almost 4 years of my life at this point!

The warlock opened her eyes slowly, coming back into awareness as Ghost returned her from death. As far as falls went, that had been one of her worst. Raging pain faded very quickly into a dull ache as she carefully sat up, wincing. Light, she hated dying.

The concern had come from Crow, who was already at her side, kneeling down next to her. A hand rested gently in the middle of her back, already soothing the distress that threatened to rise.

"Fenn?" He said softly. "Quite a landing, are you okay?"

Fenn would nod, with a little smile, and then tap her forehead, looking at him expectantly.

Crow looked at first confused, and opened his mouth to say something, put the warlock would put her finger to his lips, and then once again tap her forehead, a lightly mischievous smile on her face.

"Wh- Oh!" Color crept into Crow's face, but he would oblige, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Fenn would grab his hand and rise, smiling softening as she pulled him with her.

"Better."

WiP Wednesday 30/10/24

A bit of the next chapter of Unsinkable for today

With news of Cad Bane taking the job and Fenn and Koska’s suspicions about Bo-Katan setting up the bounty in the first place, they decided it would be wisest to move on as quickly as possible.

It meant they weren’t going to get anymore sleep that night.

Amidst the preparations, Din slipped away from the palace and rode into the night-covered city. It was not the kindest hour to go visiting, but, come morning, he would be gone, and leaving without a proper farewell felt wrong.

Peli’s voice through the intercom was groggy but still full of spit and vinegar as she snapped at her late caller. However, as soon as she heard Din on the other end, her tone changed completely, turning motherly and concerned while still keeping all that Outer Rim gruffness.

“I just came to say goodbye,” Din told her, halting her flurry of worried questions. “Something’s come up. We have to leave.”

There was nothing but crackly silence on the other end.

He tried pressing the button on the intercom again and was just about to repeat what he had said when the door off to the side opened and out came Peli, greasy overalls swapped for what he supposed was her sleepwear: loose pants and a loose shirt, her hair concealed in a soft, faded bonnet.

(Honestly, he didn’t recognize her at first without her dome of frizzy curls.)

Her arms were wrapped crushingly tight around his ribs before he knew it.

“You’re gonna come back, you hear?” she said, sounding stern and a bit choked. “That ship of yours ever needs anything, you bring it right here. And I expect you to send a butt-load of baby pictures.”

Din engaged in the embrace, awkwardly at first, then not so awkward, his arms wrapping around this small, fiery woman who had become a part of his family.

“I will, I promise. And thank you. For everything.”

She squeezed him a bit tighter. “You take care of yourself and that little family of yours.”

Finally, she pulled away.

It was late. She was lit by patchy streetlights and whatever moonlight could pierce the city’s light pollution. She looked so different without the suns: older, wiser… lonelier.

In that moment, she looked at him like he was something more than just a customer. She looked at him as if he were someone else—something else, something she knew very well he could not be, but her heart had gone and let him take that place anyway. There was a thread of guilt, so thin it was lost in the grief and longing.

And suddenly, wordlessly, Din understood.

She had had a child, once upon a time. She had never breathed a word of it to him, but he could read it on her in that moment.

“I’ll be fine,” he assured her because the other one—the real one—couldn’t.

She nodded, her lips pressed tight, her eyes glittering. “You better be, you womp-rat.”

Vane and Vanum

A/N: so I do write Yan, but I write it because of ✨trauma✨ so the closest to "willing" I'll do is Stockholm syndrome. Hope it scratches the itch, and doesn't disappoint too much 😂

"Vane," he hummed as he kissed your forehead. "Good morning, love."

Early on, you had snapped at him. Your name wasn't Vane. Just because you were once her, didn't mean you were now. But he'd slowly brought you to his side. Yes. Vane. That was you. Just because you were born with a new name, didn't make you any less Vane.

"Morning, Vanum," you hummed sleepily. His cheeks turned a soft pink, and a grin split his face, as he slipped into the bed next to you, wrapping his arms around you.

He loved when you called him Vanum. It made that empty place in his heart feel full.

"I don't want to leave you today," he pouted.

You giggled. "You're the headmaster. You have to be there."

He adjusted himself so he could stare into your face, scrutinizing.

"Sometimes I think you don't miss me as much as I miss you, when I'm gone."

"That's not true! My heart aches for you! But I also know that, because I love you, I have to let you do what you need to do."

He stiffened, continuing to scan your features for anything other than innocence.

You'd fallen into your role so nicely, and he hadn't had to actually fight or sedate you in months. But he could still remember the early days, where everything you said had a double meaning that was intended to hurt him.

And even now, even if you hadn't intended to hurt him, your statement felt like a commentary on the situation he'd dragged you into.

But when you looked up at him with those adoring eyes, he was able to calm himself. Those eyes would never try to hurt him. You genuinely meant what you said.

He sighed lovingly, and caressed some of the hair from your face," Your strength gives me strength, my beautiful Vane."

You leaned into his hand, and he sighed again. You were so lovely.

He stood up from the bed, and stretched, before moving to the bedside table. He grabbed what he needed, and then turned to you. You were already waiting for him, your leg stretched off the side of the bed.

He softly kissed you, practically purring as you slightly parted your lips to let him in, your arms wrapping around his neck to pull him closer. Soon you fell back onto the bed, dragging him with you.

It went this way for another few moments, before he gently pried himself away.

As he stood up, he attached the ankle chain to your still stretched out leg, pressing a soft kiss to your calf as he pulled away.

You placed you leg down, and folded your hands in your lap, a soft smile overtaking your features. You didn't need the ankle chain anymore, but at this point it was part of the routine.

"I'll make you a princess one day, my beautiful Vane."

You giggled. He'd kill for that giggle. In fact he already had killed for that giggle.

With a final longing glance at you, he materialized himself into his office. Unsurprisingly, various of the princes were waiting for him there.

"Your highnesses," he greeted, receiving a grumble from Guy and Toa.

"Any word from Treasure? I miss them dearly. They must be so cold without my embrace," Fenn cried.

Beneath his robes, the headmaster pushed his nails into his palms.

"I have found nothing of them. Just as I have found nothing of them every day for the last several months. There's no trace of them, which leads me to believe they may have been returned to their home realm."

Toa and Guy grumbled, unsatisfied with the answer, but unable to deny it. Fenn pouted, and stormed out of the room.

Toa and Guy followed behind, leaving young master Akedia alone with him.

Dia walked over to him, wrapping his arms around him, and nuzzling against him affectionately. If he knew for certain Dia felt platonically about you, he'd adopt him into your little family.

But…

"Lou?"

Hearing that name was wrong now. He was Vanum. Your Vanum.

"If you knew anything about where Y/N was, you'd tell me, right? You know I'd never tell the others."

He believed him. But sharing you? After he'd spent months working tirelessly to unlock your true feelings. To get you to respond to his, and only his, touch?

"Truly, I have seen neither hair nor hide of them."

Dia looked up at him, his emerald eyes piercing him with suspicion. After a moment, he seemed to be satisfied. Or at least to understand that he was not going to give him anything.

He pulled away, a last long look at him, before nodding. He watched Dia make his way out of the office, saying nothing more.

He turned to his familiars with a groan.

"Do I really have to stay until the end of the day?"

"You've done a good job of training your paramore," Phinny snickered, "You have nothing to worry about."

He groaned. "But I don't want to be here."

It's the closest to a whiny teenager he's ever gotten a chance to be. He pulled out the mirror he used to secretly spy on you, and saw you humming on your bed, playing with your hair as you stared at the ceiling.

His patient, perfect, girl. His beautiful Vane.

If you could so gracefully wait for him, then he could be your strong, brave, Vanum, who defended the isle.

Drawing Henna Tattoos On the Consorts' Hands (S-Ranks edition)

"Why are you writing this?" Because no one else will. And because it's fucking fun

Saligia is full of wack flora and fauna, and since you've finally found something resembling a henna plant that can actually leave a stain and doesn't make you hallucinate or some other odd shit, you decided to crush some of the leaves up and make a batch. There was an upcoming festival, so this is a good opportunity to put those skills to use

Guy

Oh boy...The amount of puppy-eyeing you need to do 💀

He does eventually cave though, only because it's you. His own curiosity definitely has no part in this, what are you talking about?

He's going into this knowing that henna stains may take a few hours to set properly before he could wipe the dried paste off.

Because of that, he'd get all his stuff done before sitting down with you. You'd better do the same too.

He'd moisturize his hands and forearms as per your advice and hold still long enough to see you work your artistic skills, and he's quite impressed (He may or may not voice this).

He can see that working with henna can be fiddly, seeing how focused you are.

The small smile on his face after you finished means your mission was successful.

Lynt

You want to draw a tattoo with henna on his hand? Alright. It looks like it'd take a while to draw so he'd try and stay still if he'd fall asleep.

"Would you moisturize my hands for me? 🥺" is is excuse to feel your hands before you start your work.

He does fall asleep about half an hour in. He saw how focused you were, and the design already looked pretty good, so he trusts that he's in good hands (not that he has a reason to distrust you).

You did tell him ahead of time that the henna would take a few hours to properly set, so he'd try not to move his hand too much

Lynt's pretty sensitive, so once the henna feels properly dry, he'd wipe off the paste.

He seemed so pleased with the design that it seems a shame to use that hand too much. He'll ask Tino to do a bit more work until the stain wears off (Not that Tino minds)

Roy

When you told Roy about drawing tattoos with crushed leaves, he knew he'd want to try it. Especially on festival days.

Though he is a busy man, he'd make some time for you to do his henna and wait for a few hours to let the stain set. Probably on a day off or something.

He can't help but watch you while you put your artistic prowess to work.

And the design? It is absolutely gorgeous.

Fast forward several hours and he's wiped off the dried henna.

He wears the stain like a medal of honour.

Soon enough, all the girls found out about it and drew some designs on their own to wear on special occasions

Toa

He can't say he isn't curious about this custom, so he'll indulge you. And he wants to spend more time with you and watch your artistic skills in action.

Before his day off he made sure everything is done without any mistakes (he does that anyway, but he does this more meticulously than usual)

He washed and moisturized his hands before you got to work.

Drawing with a tube of paste can be fiddly, so he held still as possible (he was going to anyway, he just really doesn't want to break your concentration)

He has to admit, the design looks exquisite. You really put a lot of care and thought into it

The next day, you see him teaching his classes with the henna stained hand in plain sight.

He let his class in on this once his lecture finished.

Needless to say nigh everyone had a henna tattoo on ball days after that.

Fenn

You want to draw a tattoo on him? Using crushed leaves? He would love that!

He doesn't mind sitting still for an hour to see you work on something so beautiful.

Hands and forearms? Clean. Skin? Hydrated and moisturized by you (he likes feeling your hands). Hotel? Trivago.

The design you're working on is beautiful yes, but it pales compared to you. Especially right this moment since you look so focused.

The urge to try and fluster you is too strong, so he does when you lift the tube for a few moments.

The stain set a few hours later, and my goodness was the final product gorgeous.

And let me tell you: nigh everyone drew a tattoo with henna. Especially before ball nights

Rio

Rio would be more than happy to let you draw a design with henna on his hand, but he is a bit concerned about how he's going to eat his food. That henna(?) stuff doesn't seem too appetizing and he doesn't want to ruin your work. (Thoma volunteered to take over for his work for tending to the vegetable patch)

You opted for a simpler design on his forearm or on the back of his hand so it doesn't get too in the way of his food or work. Rio doesn't mind though. He knows what you'll create will be beautiful regardless

His hands and forearms are clean and moisturized and he's rarin to go (not without a few snacks to share with you, of course)

He can't say he's too well-versed in this art form, but you look like you know what your doing, and he likes the design.

The wait was definitely worth it, and he wears that stain like a badge of honour.

Girls Sleepover Party

MC, Sherry, and Letty still feel like the picnic was not enough time for them to hangout so they decided that they would extend it to be a sleepover party instead. (15+)

Sherry : *sigh* I really wish our tea party doesn't end. I still wish more time to hang out with just us girls. But it's almost time to head back. If not, we'll miss our curfew.

MC : I agree, Toa is scary when it comes to curfews.

Violet : That curfew doesn't apply for me. But if you're still scared of Toa, I can always bribe him with sweets.

Sherry : True, but what's the fun in that? I mean hanging out on school grounds is not fun. We could only have the lounge but it sucks. I mean we can ask my brother to use the S Rank's lounge but it's still a public space. Do you get what I mean?

MC : Yeah, I do. It's understandable. If being in a public space is your concern, why don't we just have a sleepover?

Violet : That sounds amazing! We could talk about the most recent gossips, our love life, or maybe about that one book I found at the library.

Sherry : You mean THAT book? not going to lie, it's going to be interesting.

MC : What book? I think I'm missing out on something here...

Sherry : Oh, you'll see.

Violet : But where will we be staying for our sleepover? I don't want to sound like I don't want to have a sleepover in my dorm but you know how it is.

MC : It's okay Letty, we get it. I mean, I guess that leaves to my room and Sherry's. I don't mind having a sleepover at my room though. The room the headmaster gave me is pretty cozy.

Violet : I agree, yours is cozy indeed but we need to consider about the space of our room. Will the room accommodate us or not. Your room is cozy but I don't think it will fit all of us. But I know whose room can. Sherry's room is huge!

Sherry : It is huge indeed, but currently it's still trashed with trinkets and clothes.

MC : So I guess, my place it is. Please come in my room with your pajamas. I'll provide as much amenities as I can. Just knock on my door if you're ready!

*a knock was heard. MC opened the door to see Sherry. She greeted Sherry and gave her some cute slippers and some snacks for their sleepover. But there are still no signs of Letty*

MC : Sherry, have you seen Letty?

Sherry : That's odd. I haven't seen here and Letty is not the type that is late. Maybe she had something going on? I heard Fenn called her to talk about something for like a Luxure state affair.

MC : I see. I was worried but hearing that makes me a little less worried. While waiting for Letty, should we try to do something? Maybe try to embroider something?

Sherry : Boring! Why don't we talk about guys? You've been close with Rio lately. What is up with that?

MC : Stop it. We're just friends, Sherry. And stop shipping me and setting me up!

*suddenly there was a knock on the door. Turns out it was Letty. She finally arrived after needing to sort out documents for Fenn.*

Violet : Did you guys start the conversation without me? Oh, I am terribly offended.

MC : we didn't mean to left you out.

Violet : Anyways, what were you guys talking about?

Sherry : Guys, obviously.

Violet : Oooo... What about them? Were there any potential suitors?

Sherry : Maybe... I mean I noticed how MC is so close with Rio these days but she denied it. She always denies everything about being in a relationship. It's like she's avoiding them like a plague

MC : I'm not. I just think of Rio as a younger brother and most guys in this academy is just not my type. Imagine being with Guy Avari. I would be dread being alive.

Violet : True, some of the princes here sucks. I mean Guy is still a steal compared to Fenn.

Sherry : But you know which prince doesn't suck? My brother. Why don't you try it out with him, MC? I mean you guys would be a match! And as a bonus, we can be sisters!

MC : It's not like I had something with him, Sherry. He's a nice guy but that's the point. Roy is YOUR BROTHER. So what if one day we're going to have a girl talk? and maybe that girl talk is more sexual? So what am I going to do? It is going to be weird to talk about my sexual relationships to someone's sister!

Violet : You really got a point there.

Sherry : But he's such a nice gentlemen. Isn't he your type too? You guys would make a great couple. Besides, I don't mind hearing you talking about your sexual relationships if you're with my brother.

MC : Even though it's not awkward for you, it's awkward for me.

Sherry : Well that's such a pity. But if one day you're up for it, just tell me. I'll set you guys up on a date.

Violet : talking about dates, I had a date 2 days ago and he sucked. I swear I just wanna scream "You can go suck your own dick!" at the end of the date.

Sherry : Oh my! what did he do?

Violet : So we ended our date when he wanted to go for a test ride on how we'll do on the sheets. Generally, it's not really a bad thing and usually I do agree but the way he's saying in that conversation makes it sound like he just expects me to just have sex with him while he just doesn't care about my pleasure at all. He just cares about his own pleasure and he was such a jerk too!

Sherry : Oh my! So what did you do afterwards?

Violet : of course I smacked some sense to his head and left.

MC : As you should.

Violet : And guess what, I heard he can't even get women in the mood properly. I think he really needs some lesson from Fenn or maybe THAT book.

Sherry : I agree!

MC : What book?

Sherry : So, we found a pretty interesting book about love making and pleasure 101. It was ground breaking. literally.

Violet : it's the kama sutra of books. but make it spicy, hot and passionate. I brought the book, you should really see it so you could see what I mean.

Sherry : I can guarantee that it's worth it to read it.

MC : Sometimes I wonder how you act like this and you know this much stuff, Sherry. As long as I know, you never have a paramour. I mean it's not a surprise if it's Letty but you, Sherry?

Sherry : I mean, we're all adults so I don't see the problem here. And sometimes it's good to have some research so when you do experience it, you're already a master. I mean take a look at my brother. That book literally raised him and elevated him to become a true man.

Violet : sometimes I wonder how did you know that too, Sherry.

Sherry : sometimes a girl needs to keep her secrets

I absolutely love the fact that as a furry I can use my fursonas to explore feelings and thoughts that I'm not sure if I want to own up to. I was looking through my old sketchbooks and thinking of my little lore for them earlier, and I realized that all I was doing when I made them up was just making parts of me into separate folks and having them interact to work through thought processes I was having internally. Like, my oldest fursona Vio, also named after what I was gonna name myself at first (but their first name was originally based off my deadname), represented who I thought younger me was like in hindsight as I got older, and as I first explored my gender her gender adapted to match. My second, Ice, was mainly an accident, but I ended up making him as a voice of reason for Vio, just like how I was developing a sense of social awareness during that time and was grappling with finding a balance between that and what I wanted to do. And I've been using my newest fursona, BJ, to explore my current gender and therianthropy as well as feelings of how I want to dress and act now that I'm at college. And for a long time I found it weird how I couldn't just have one fursona, but I think that's because how my fursonas interact lets me process my thoughts and come to terms with stuff in a way that expressing things all internally just doesn't. And I think that's stupid cool!!

DIRECTOR'S CUT ON COMMIT TO THE BIT but only like the first two chapters i am so far behind 😭

girl I wish I had been as productive as you think i've been 😭 there's only two chapters so far-

(But, hey, good news! Chapter three is verging ever closer to probably being done! And it's only taken me about... eight months... hahaha *dies on the inside*)

Anyway, i'll do what I did with the other ask and just go through it and talk about stuff!

Okay, so this fic was originally called "The Con" because it involved winning a lot more bets via subterfuge and holding hands. That changed and so I renamed it!

Oh yeah! And so, this fic was partly inspired by the song Summer Nights from Grease, where the guys and girls are enthusiastically listening to completely different stories of the same event. I flipped it around so they had completely different reactions to the same story and Sabine and Ezra were very UNenthusiastic and that was what the scenes with their friends were based on!

Aylan (the vostress kid) definitely heard some obitine stories from his dad and finds the parallels very amusing.

I know i've said it a few times before, but it always delights me to mention that the three Togruta sisters (Chisica, Am-lee, and Khenna) are based on me and my sisters.

OHHH fun fact! Originally the conversation where they split up the profits from the bet and the conversation where Sabine brought up fake-dating were two different conversations! The first one was as-is in the fic, but the other one happened like a week later when Sabine was hanging out in a tree coral with some of the girls and watching Ezra doing lightsaber forms and maybe drawing him shirtless a little bit and they hype her up to "ask him out again" and she goes over and interrupts him and they end up having the fake-dating idea conversation while he's not wearing a shirt and she's blatantly checking him out (and at one point actually half-reaches-out to touch his abs before she catches herself) and he's just "????" the whole time. It was funny, but I decided it was too early in the (fake) relationship for her to be so obvious about it, and I needed Fenn Rau to overhear the conversation and that was easier if they were on the Ghost, so I combined the scenes.

Oh also! Originally, both Vinn AND Tarik were gonna get kicked out of the friend group for being nasty but then I decided to make Tarik less nasty and give him a redemption arc.

The post-stargazing scene! So, I had to keep dialing things back because my shippy writer brain was moving their relationship ahead WAY faster than it was supposed to go. For example, in this scene, originally, they were going to share Sabine's bunk and definitely not cuddle or anything, it won't be weird at all, but again--just too soon. I made up for it with excessive cuddles in the end of the chapter & in chapter 2.

KATKA CAMEO!! Ok so for those who don't know---katka is an OC from my Teenage Rebellion AU. She's Gar Saxon's niece but she's utter sweetness (with a slight twist of crazy) and totally on board to stick it to the Empire. In the TRAU, she also has a massive raging crush on Ezra (albeit an Inquisitor iteration of him), so when I needed a random character to be envious of Sabine here, I figured I'd reuse her lol.

Oh yeah! Another condensed scene! Where she tells him about the Mandalorian ways of saying "I love you" and where she asks him to fake marry her used to be two different scenes! Like with the other one, I added the second one to the first. I went through a few versions of the fake-marriage-proposal, including one where Aylan came along with Ezra to Mandalore and was the one to suggest they tie the knot, apparently unaware it's all fake (but actually 100% aware it's all fake because his psychometry revealed it)

not to brag or anything but "Ezra did not regret fake-marrying into money" is one of my favorite lines i've ever written.

(btw, I still crack up when I remember that in your comment on chapter 1, you called Ezra a repressed victorian maiden for panicking over being able to see sabine's arms and legs. and I think everyone should know that You Are Right, Ezra Is A Repressed Victorian Maiden.)

OK ON TO CHAPTER 2!

i had so much fun with this chapter because they're both full to bursting with love for each other and neither of them will admit it until the last possible moment. I think that might actually be why Chapter 3 is taking so long--they're not hiding their feelings anymore so there's no more poetic internal monologues about how much they adore each other lol

Ah yeah on the topic of repressed feelings--the line "Kanan is fairly sure it’ll take at least five years and possibly a child for Sabine to admit that she’s actually in love with her husband" was supposed to actually be what happened. Sabine and Ezra were going to go on pretending the marriage was fake for years and finally one night when they were cuddled up, Sabine blurted out that she was in love with him and he was like "Yeah. I know." and she was like "wait what?? how did you know?? I was so subtle about my feelings!!" and he was like "Sabine, you kissed me good-night ten minutes ago. you're constantly calling me extremely romantic pet names in mando'a. we have two children and only one of them is adopted. your feelings are about as subtle as a paint bomb to the face." and she was just like "....oh." and then that was the end of the story! BUUUUT then I decided to do a love confession during the Lothal arc, and that led to the... surprise... at the end of chapter 2, which led to there needing to be a THIRD chapter!

OH HAHA OK MORE FUNNY STUFF. So the part with sabine's nightmare that leads to the "two besties chilling in a bathtub...?" scene was ALSO split up into two different events! I've been thinking about doing some edits of both chapters of CttB because I didn't really stop to edit either of them before posting (and a good chunk of chapter 2 was literally written the day before I posted it), which I mention because I was considering reverting the two scenes back to their original versions because the og tub scene was pretty funny. It's hard to describe in brief words, but basically... yeah it's too hard to describe, just take my word for it, it was pretty funny. (it involved Ezra singing along to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together with a shampoo bottle for a microphone and Tristan playing a petty revenge prank that goes sideways.)

The cut between Ezra worrying about Sabine being upset about his feelings for her and thinking "what would she think if she knew??", and sabine's pov opening with "Sabine can't stop thinking about kissing his stupid face" never fails to make me snicker.

Oh hey I just got to the thrawn pov and that reminds me. at one point I was thinking about having a scene including Ezra and Thrawn's conversation aboard the Chimaera and thrawn REAAAALLLY pushes his buttons about Sabine, using the information that he figured out about their marriage. Actually, if I do that edit, I might write that scene.

Poor Hera--she keeps unintentionally being responsible for all of the sabezra relationship development lol.

OOH SOMETHING ELSE! So, originally, the love confession was WAY different. First of all, it wasn't in their room--it was in one of the caves. Sabine still went looking for Ezra, but she found him by following a Loth-wolf. And he actually confessed his feelings first! In this version, he was afraid he was going to die and impulsively blurted out that he loved her. Then he got nervous and started rambling a little and she shut him up with a kiss. But I changed it--I wanted her to be the one to take the leap and 'fess up, and if I set it in her room, I could have the funny Ketsu scene afterwards.

And then True Love's Kiss woke someone else up! (aka kanan got yoinked out of his comatose state by telepathic TMI)

oh yeah and to anyone wondering, that "another dawn breaks" line from the Kanera scene was ABSOLUTELY a reference to A New Dawn.

Oh and that Ketsu scene---that was actually a scene I saved and reused after cutting it from a different WIP of mine! There were two variations--the one I ended up using, and one where she accidentally interrupts the very first kiss and they're both like "OH COME ON!" because they've been waiting for this moment FOREVER and like ten seconds in, it gets interrupted, and Ezra decides that, darn it, he's been waiting for this for so long, he's not going to wait any longer! and he just pulls Sabine right back into the kiss and uses the Force to shut the door in Ketsu's face. I did this version so that I could include dialogue!

I'm just now realizing that I actually skipped over the entirety of Family Reunion and Farewell, I went straight from Jedi Night to Happy-Ever-After. But in my defense, plot-relevant episodes don't matter much when it comes to crack fix-it fics.

How I think the princes + Lou and Dia would react to MC’s death

Guy

I feel like Guy would be the type of person to silently morn and not say it aloud

He gets really quiet during the entire grieving process

He would distract himself by flying around with Ertl and with his work so he doesn’t think about MC as much

He misses her, even if he won’t admit it.

He would visit her grave every so often but would stay away if he knew other people were going there

He would put roses on her grave

Sometimes he would agree to go with another person if they said they were going but would act like he doesn’t care

“I might as well go. It’s been some time since I last visited anyways.”

His teachings become a little harder and he’s a lot harsher when dealing with the fangirls

Refuses to talk about MC and any conversation that involves her he avoids it immediately

He stopped complaining about Lynt cuddling up to him because it’s the most comfort he would get. He would never admit this though.

I feel like he would visit her twice a week and whenever it’s getting close to a holiday, the day of her death, or her birthday he would visit her more often

He just stands there at her grave for a while until he needs to leave because it’s too much for him

He misses her a lot.

He keeps all the gifts he gave her and then some so he has something to remember her by

Toa

Oh boy

Like Guy, he becomes more silent.

He would visit her whenever he had the time because after her death he just assigns people a lot more work then he use to to distract himself by grading all those papers.

He also doesn’t really talk but sometimes says he misses her to her grave

He tried using ancient magic on himself to make him forget about her a few times, each failed.

I think he would visit every 2-3 days a week and whenever it’s a holiday he would leave a gift at her grave

After everything settles a little for him he becomes slightly more lenient in his teachings and becomes like he was before

Whenever he eats caramels he thinks of MC

Roy

Acts like everything is fine but everything is not fine

Sherry has to force him to break his act because he acts like that even when he’s around her now

He still acts the same with the fangirls but avoids them a lot more and finds other ways to get to places he needs to get to. Grayson needs to make many excuses for him so he can leave.

He would leave (a lot of) flowers, tea leaves, and Invidian honey at her grave.

I feel like he visits her grave a lot, like 4 times a week

“I hope your life is peaceful. We all miss you….”

He talks to her about his day and what he did, he sometimes makes a picnic near her grave and eats lunch there, Sherry and Grayson sometimes join him.

Sherry needs to comfort Roy and make sure he gets out of that princely act everyday after he’s alone so he can relax. He talks to Sherry and Grayson about how he’s feeling but a lot of the time he hides it. Sherry is the one who comforts him the most

Fenn

He tries to make everyone else feel better even if he’s hurting

He tries to distract himself by going on many dates with a bunch of men and woman. Sometimes it helps but sometimes he still feels the emptiness of her presence

When he visits her grave he reads to her and tells her about his day

He leaves flowers at her grave and he tells her story ideas

He also makes up stories

“Hello treasure… We all miss you dearly…”

He says that with a sad smile on his face

He acts like everything is fine but he’s actually really sad she’s no longer with them so he tries to make everyone laugh or at least smile. He bothers Guy a lot more because of his red eyes since MC had them, even if they weren’t her actual eye color.

He prefers to go on dates with Avari woman but still goes on dates with others from other kingdoms, it’s just mostly Avari woman now. Particularly ones that look similar to her.

If he sees something he thinks she would have liked at the market, he would buy it and leave it at her grave and put a protection spell on it so it can’t get dirty or be torn apart. After some time he brings that stuff back with him and keeps it. He also hides it.

Violet has to remind him to get out of bed because he really doesn’t want to

He misses MC a lot and doesn’t want a world where she’s not with him

He also distracts himself by writing, he even made a character that was based on her and added her to his story. This may or may not have made the story longer and more complex-

He’s still the same but he lies a lot more, mostly about how he’s feeling so no one else worries about him. Some of the S-ranks can tell though. They miss her too.

He hugs his pillow and pretends it’s MC. Sometimes when he’s cuddling with another girl he pretends it’s her, especially if the girl has similar hair length to her.

He would carry something she owned and keep it in his pocket. He would panic if he lost it

Lynt

The poor baby

He sleeps a lot more because he dreams about MC

Believe it or not, he visits very few times. I would guess once a week, it’s mostly because he’s sleeping and because he’s too sad to visit.

When he does visit he sleeps there, Tino panics and tries to wake him up at first but then after a bit he lets him sleep near the grave. It somewhat helps.

He would leave flowers, pillows, blankets, and bread at her grave

He stays there for some time(mostly because he’s asleep-)

Tino’s job is harder because Lynt doesn’t want to wake up even more

He cuddles up to Guy more too because of his eyes and because Guy doesn’t complain, he does it more often. Not that Guy is complaining.

Any fluffy objects that MC owned he keeps and sleeps with. He wanted to sleep in her room one time but wasn’t allowed it because it would make it look different then from how it was left.

“I hope your eternal sleep is well and peaceful… I see you in my sleep every time, is it you that visits me?”

Rio

He misses her so fucking much omg

He brings flowers and food to her grave and he eats there and talks about his day and does his homework there and he even decorated it one time with vegetables

He misses her so god damn much

He visits everyday

He visits the moment he has the chance

He brings Sherry, Violet, and Thoma with him and comforts them and they comfort him

He talks to her grave about what he learned, what kind of food he made and ate, who he talked to, etc

He would bring her favorite foods to her grave and eat some too

He sometimes wants to visit her room but is scared he’ll ruin it

Again, he visits every single day. If he can’t he will literally cry thinking he will upset her in the afterlife

He makes it up the next day by coming by twice. Maybe even more if he misses more then one day. He would probably visit a lot more often as an apology

I think at first when she died, he ate less then normal but acted like everything was fine

He tries to make everyone feel better but refuses to talk about his emotions at first

Sherry has to force it out of him

Poor Rio cries to her and she comforts him and lets him hug her and he hugs her so tight then apologizes for hurting her

He spends a lot of time with Sherry because he’s scared to lose her too

He tries to pay her back whenever he can for comforting him and comforts her back

He becomes her overprotective brother figure

He makes a lot of MC’s favorite foods, even foods from Earth

Any gift MC gave him is now the most precious object he’s ever owned

He makes sure no one touches them

Gets obviously upset if someone does

“Hello Sunbeam! I made fried rice! It’s not as good as how you make it but I hope it’s good enough for you to enjoy in the afterlife!”

The first time he made some of her favorite foods and ate them, he almost cried

Lance

The silence is deafening

He talks a lot less and goes drinking a lot more

He almost cried when telling Christoph MC is dead and he comfort Christoph when he cries

He visits MC with flowers and alcohol

The alcohol is for him mostly but he leaves some for her

Whenever he visits with Christoph though, he doesn’t bring alcohol

The two visit whenever they have the chance

He becomes really protective of Christoph after that

Lance and Dia surprisingly start talking to each other a little more because they know MC wouldn’t want them fighting

They fight less but it still happens

He sometimes visits with Hawke, Fenn, and Jasper and after they go drinking

Lance drinks the most, Fenn drinks the second most

When he’s drunk he vents about how he’s doing surprisingly easily, especially with Fenn since they both cared for her a lot

Him and Fenn go drinking together a lot more

Nothing happens other then good pals drinking and talking about MC for the next few hours

He visits her grave with Fenn sometimes

“Thank you for giving me the chance to be your friend. Me, Christoph, and everyone else miss you.”

Dia

Visits her grave a lot but other then that he doesn’t leave his room much

He plants mushrooms there and reads about them to MC’s grave

He also sings to her grave

He visits that flower meadow place and sings songs for her even if she’s not there with him

He made songs for her and sang them at her grave or when he’s alone

Him and Lance become somewhat closer but not much

Just talking a little more

He asked Rio to make a mushroom dish she has made for him before and thanks Rio then goes to eat it in his room

A lot of the time Jay needs to ask because Dia doesn’t leave his room

He goes to Lou and just stays in his office for a little bit and Lou doesn’t stop him

They talk about their memories with MC, sometimes even their past life memories

“If I could hug you one last time, I would. I hope this song reaches your ear one day.”

If he ever had a dream about her he would cry and go visit her grave and ask if it was her that visited him

He gets annoyed more easily now

On the rare occasion he would go to classes just to relive what it was like when MC was alive but it was never the same after that

Anything he kept from her gets hidden in his room

He actually went drinking with Lance one time and they talked for hours about her then visited her grave

Instead of flowers(though he does give flowers-) he gives her grave mushrooms

And I’m talking really pretty and rare mushrooms

Those fuckers glow in the dark

Now he can always find her grave if he’s out at night looking for it

He also now has another excuse to visit her which is to see how the mushrooms are doing

Work doesn’t get done unless it’s urgent or important, he doesn’t want to get up, the whole nine yards

He visits every place he and MC went together, he even visits places Vane and Vanum visited

He talks to her grave a lot, either about memories of when she was alive or memories of when they were Vane and Vanum

• Is currently being pressured to accept a political marriage, but would rather marry for love (sap)

• Jasper is the only one who understands

Dia

• Majoring in botany

• Attends all of his classes virtually

• Has a mushroom farm in his room

• He sings to them to help them grow. Aquia is sworn to secrecy about it

• Has Lou wrapped around his finger

• Found a snake in the bushes, named it Linos, and it is now his pet. Lou was unsuccessful in convincing him to put Linos back outside

• Is this grounds for expulsion? Yes. Does Lou expel him? Nope. Why? Because Dia is why

Sherry

• Majoring in human resources services

• Wants to create more positive workplaces, especially for women

• The only mentally stable person in this goddamn school

• Student council president (thanks, chirp!)

• Ya gurl beat out both Guy and Toa, who were competing for the position and tied for runners-up

• Probably helps that she had the power of baked goods (and Grayson's supervision) on her side

Aquia

• Majoring in botany

• Works at a flower shop

• Poor boy just wants to make friends and study plants but everyone just wants to use him to get in with Guy

• Lack of familial affection go brrr

• Roc doesn't give a shit about his younger sons

• Guy is always busy and has no interest in Aquia's life

• Rahm is too busy trying to make Aquia Roc's successor to notice that he clearly doesn't want to be in politics and loves his brother too much to take his dreams

• Zev is the only one who keeps in regular contact with him, but he's more interested in telling him all about his problems with class, homework, girls, y'know, typical high school stuff. He also asks a lot about how Guy is doing before taking any interest in Aquia

• Fluent in Floriography (language of the flowers)

• Tends to the garden on the school roof at night

• Rio runs into him up there and notices how well cared for the flowers look, and also that Aquia is really sad. They are now gardening buddies

Jasper

• "Majoring" in hospitality

• Isn't actually here to further a career. Roc sent him with Guy as a spy to make sure no one is plotting to sabotage either Guy or the family as a whole

• Works at the same bar as Lance

• NOT a r**ist, and he does NOT do that shit he did in his consort route

• He just listens in on conversations while making drinks (that have NOT been drugged or spiked in any way) and serving people

• He's that one asshole that corrects people's grammar when they text him

• If you don't text like you're writing a government document he will copy your message and correct it

Violet: is anyone free on saturday. i accidentally bought an extra movie ticket and mc fenn and sherry said there all gonna be busy

• She dated Jasper for a while until realized he was using a fake identity to spy on her and her friends, and she's hated his guts ever since

• The only reason she still talks to him is because they're in the same friend group as the other valets

• If Jasper corrects her grammar in the group chat one more time, she's stealing his glasses and replacing his normal pens with invisible ink pens. Then we’ll see how good his grammar is

Tino

• Majoring in hospitality

• Works part-time at his family's hotel

• He and Lynt have been best friends since childhood because their fathers are also friends and business partners

• He used to "help" Lynt with all his school work (did most of it for him). He can't really do that anymore since they’re in different majors

• Gets Lynt out of bed every morning. And makes dinner every night. And cleans the dorm. And does the dishes...

• Okay, Lynt does eventually start picking up the slack when he realizes the ungodly amount of work Tino does

• This boy has not had a full night's sleep since the 3RD GRADE

• Like bro do you need to cram every single night?

• Half the time he passes out at his desk studying. Sometimes he'll fall asleep in a common room or something, and someone has to take him back to his room

• It is because of this that Lynt has taken special interest in researching insomnia

• Has to be dragged out by the valets to take a break from doing literally everything all the time

Tino: "B-But I have to study for my skills test-"

Knight: "You mean your skills test that's 3 months away and you've been cramming for since you started the course? Dude, you need a life and you're coming to the arcade with us."

• Definitely got shoved into his locker in high school

• That's what he gets for trying to mind his own business and not bother anyone in a fucking high school

Lou

• Headmaster of the academy

• Has a Ph.D in education

• Is fully aware that he has several politicians' children in his school and that he's being spied on

• Guess what? He's spying on them, too

• He's part of a political party called Iritium and is gathering information on his competition through their children

• Guy, Toa, and Lance's rooms are bugged with microphones. He knows Christoph is living with Lance, but to avoid raising suspicion, he doesn't do anything about it yet

• He's still debating whether or not to bug Aquia's room because Dia is his roommate and he'd rather not invade his privacy

• Prank wars are common at the academy, but he has reigned as prank king since his own school years and he refuses to be dethroned

• Has two doves in his office, Phinney and Nix

• There have been many occasions where someone would pass by his office and see him having a full conversation with them

• He once argued with Phinney while MC sat right across from him. He lost

Hear me out:

An Akedian student who knows all the gossip at the academy because they’re always “sleeping” while others are talking.

They’re like, “oh, it’s that Akedian student— they’re always napping in wackass locations, don’t mind them. Anyways, you’ll never believe which S rank I saw in town…”

But that’s the thing: that Akedian student? They’re never actually sleeping. They’re just closing their eyes.

Honestly, it started completely by accident. They were resting their eyes one day, about to genuinely take a nap, when a group of students started talking about their “special spot” in town where they got the best desserts. Not sure what to do, and not really wanting to interrupt them, the Akedian froze. After a few moments, they decided to just roll with it, and faked sleeping.

This happens a few more times, with different groups of students and townies. Soon, the Akedian realizes the interesting opportunity their reputation has inadvertently granted them. Now, what will they do with it?

Overtime, keeping with their scheme, they amass a massive, expansive library of information. Dirt on nearly every student, professor, people in town. S ranks and their valets, nobles, even some kings and queens. It really is amazing, what people are willing to say when they think no one is listening.

Then, an S rank fangirl pisses them off one day. That’s fine enough, happens more often than not. But when then woman starts harassing their familiar, the Akedian sees red. Within a few weeks, the fan girl’s deepest, most secret betrayal is circulating around the campus like wildfire. Her reputation is a wreck, her friendships are broken. How did anyone find out? She never told anyone, only her closest friend…

NGL, I think this student would be a more successful informant than J*sper. Spoilers for J*sper’s route, but that man has a whole ass disguise he has to maintain, plus whatever conversations and situations he finds himself in. He has to extract the information from the target. Meanwhile this Akedian closes their eyes, and the targets start just giving the information willingly.

Some students catch on, but know better than to expose the Akedian. Mainly because for a small fee, they can get whatever information they want.

“Yawwn. Study levitation magic if you want to pass the next exam.”

“Toa’s favourite candy is caramels. He’ll let you sneak out after curfew if you slide him a few, goodnight.”

“Sherry Invidia is growing a marijuana garden with Aquia Avari. Buy from Fenn, he’ll give you a discount.”

Tell me this wouldn’t be a fun character for a story Event??
