Fifty Seven.

Last night I had the worst backpain, I don’t know where it came from but I could not sleep, I was struggling so badly and Chris knew it, I guess I was annoying him with all the moving around, even I would get annoyed “sorry for last night and thanks for making his breakfast” I said as I made way into the kitchen “don’t be, it was odd that you wasn’t awake already actually and then I asked Chris and he said you didn’t sleep well so I offered, like the good person I am” Mel is good, I love that she lives with us “thank you, seriously. Sorry Chris” I feel really bad, Chris looked up at me from his plate “for what? It’s fine, I am glad you had the sleep, you’re the main priority. You need your sleep more then I do” he is sweet, pressing a kiss to the top of his head “what happened?” Mel asked, walking over to her “I had the worst back pain, I just couldn’t get comfortable at all. I was tossing and turning, my pelvis was just hurting so bad. So Chris woke up and we tried swapping sides on the bed but no, that didn’t work. So I slept on my side and Chris rubbed my back, it was soothing, and I fell asleep. I am not sure if Chris got the sleep, did you?” I asked, Chris nodded his head “I did, then I woke up. So I just used to office to deal with some things, honestly don’t say sorry. You need the sleep more then me, maybe it was the whole coming back from London. Jet-lag maybe?” he could be right “I don’t really suffer from it but then again now I am pregnant, so things are different, anyways. Have you caught up with Barry? You did say you was, isn’t he in Cali?” I don’t know whose plate this is, but I am taking it “that is mine but take it, yeah he is coming here. I think you both might just miss him, you will be going to the scan” I would like to give him a piece of my mind, he is annoying me “well it’s been a while since you have had some, have fun” taking the plate to the table, if I do see Barry I will be saying it to him.

Mel always makes a good breakfast, I adore it so much “I decided to cut them off” Chris blurted out “cut who off?” what is he on “Barry and TJ, not like cut them off friend wise but I can’t just cut Barry off and not TJ, but then I don’t want them selling drugs. I feel obliged to help them, they both aren’t cut out for this, they are just reaping the benefits of things and I can’t have that they will end up making a mess. A mess I don’t need, it’s playing on my mind and I need to do it but also I don’t want to make out I am selling them out. They also helped in a way, here and there but they fucked up my supplier and I can’t have that. This is why I was so busy here in Cali, now I got Neima and Cena, they are making money moves for me and I have been waiting for Barry or even TJ to ask why they can’t log into anything, but they haven’t checked, the only thing I didn’t change was the business account password, they haven’t made a sound, so they don’t check” pressing my lips into a hard thin line “you didn’t tell me that? The supplier part, I thought they was making money for you. You said you had a lot of money in the business account?” I really need to give Chris my attention more than anything “I did, they sold what I had before I got shot but that was it, thinking on it most of my money from my apartment I sold in VA I put in there, so it wasn’t much. They didn’t really update anything of mine, I don’t know. I don’t want to break my friendship with them” I always knew they was useless “right, this is why we don’t hire family and friends. You will learn, right. So what does them two do besides chase behind you?”

I don’t think they have jobs “nothing” I sighed out “they are riding you which means me also because we are together Chris, you need to get rid of them. To make it better because I know it’s upsetting you, you need to tell them what I got here is mine and you both don’t care for it. Give them a month or two, tell them you aren’t a bachelor, or some fuck boy that is wanting to chill you have a business, a wife now so you are different so they can’t stay here to have fun, they want fun Chris and you have moved passed that so give them a month or two, pay them what you are still and they have to find their own way, they can’t hang onto you and if they are friends then they will understand but be ready if they don’t, if they really want to work then they can get a job. Better yet ask them what they want to do and help them proceed in what they want to do, help in hand in someone’s dream is better than they are living through you, you will learn this” I didn’t even know any of this “they going to say I have changed and shit, it’s not even that. They fucked up, but I get what you mean” he is going to be so sad if they react a different way and I hope not because I will come at them both “you haven’t changed, it’s called growth. People grow, you’re not in the same position as them, I have friend that are doing their own thing and yet we are still friends, nothing has changed. Just don’t worry about it, I am here for you Chris. I have been through it all before, so I am here to listen” Chris smiled at me lightly.

I am super excited to see the doctor, I want to see what my baby is doing already “are you excited to see the baby? The right answer is yes” resting my head on his shoulder “yes” of course he would say that he is annoying “I am joking, I am nervous. Your bump is grown as hell so yeah, I am nervous. I don’t know, I am happy though” he said honestly “I can take that, I am nervous too. Apparently this is a big scan, we can see more too. I need to pee so bad Chris, my god!” moving my head back, Chris held my hand “what does Mel see in Barry, honest answer?” that was random of him “he is funny, alternative. He does make her laugh a lot because when she would be on my bed just relaxing and he would call all Mel did was laugh, she likes him a lot. Why?” that was random of him “just asking, I just think you know. Barry is ugly, Mel is beautiful” looking up at Chris “ok, random ass” I chuckled “Mrs Fenty-Brown, Audrey is ready to see you” I shrieked “sorry, I am so excited. Come” I jumped up “calm down” Chris said, he held my hand “exciting day for you, men are always grumpy” Chris is always grumpy “he is excited deep down, he just keeping it to himself” I know Chris is excited but doesn’t show it at all “how have you been since you last seen us?” the nurse asked “good, I feel like I am growing bigger then ever, I don’t know. I am not used to it, but I think I am doing well” I really want to see my baby.

Audrey rushed in “I am so sorry, busy day. How are you?” I would get up, but I just sat down, shaking her hand “I am need of the toilet” I laughed “oh good, yes we will get on with the scan quick. How have you been? Anything different, have you found any changes?” watching her sit down “I have felt less fatigued, I feel full of energy, more so that I am ready for sex. Chris has been suffering a lot but like I have felt within myself tired, I felt like everything was a chore, but I just woke up and I feel full of energy” Audrey is laughing at me, but I am being deadass about it “as you enter your second trimester you will feel your energy come back to you, like now. Sex is fine too; your sex drive actually does peak at this this stage too. Since we missed you for your twelve week scan, working this out you are actually fourteen weeks which is great because we will actually seen a lot more of baby, shall we get on with it?” nodding my head “please because I need to pee, badly” I have drank so much water “can we know if it’s a boy too?” Chris would ask that “I could potentially look for this yes, if that is what you would like but I can’t be a one hundred percent sure but at twenty weeks I can then, is it a boy you both want?” side eyeing Chris “at first he didn’t care, he didn’t mind a girl but now since his friend had a son he wants one, I am guessing” getting up from the seat as Audrey did “I just think I would look nice with a son” so he says.

I had to go and pee, apparently I drank too much water so I went to the toilet and making my way back “hi” this nurse just smiled at me, she looked at more in shock then just a general hi “hi” walking back into the room “I can’t believe there was too much water” rolling my eyes “it happens Robyn, you know what. I was looking at your bump and it’s growing perfectly and on time, I say on time because some women stomach grows ahead of their weeks, so sometimes your bump can be growing at a different rate, so we are still on track for August delivery” sitting on the bed “that’s good, I am scared that I would hurt my baby or even lose it, I have been ever so careful with myself” winking at Chris as he smiled at me, laying back down on the bed “good, it’s time for you to pamper yourself and make it about you, have you found your breasts starting to change?” lifting my top over my bump “yes, tender. Also last night I had a horrible night. I had a really bad backpain, Chris had to rub my back while I fell asleep?” I wanted to ask that “ok, that is normal. Your body is changing, your hormone relaxin levels increase, that hormone is the motion in your pelvis allowing your uterus to expand” letting out an oh “that is amazing” I didn’t think that “it is, as long it doesn’t worsen that is fine. But if it’s every night then please come back to us and also try and keep sex simple if you had that last night, just for that reason. Not saying if anything will happen but keep it simple for that reason, so shall we see baby Fenty-Brown” I grinned “yes please!” I spat, the first time around I didn’t see anything because of having too much water around so this time around I hope I can see my baby, I am already emotional.

Chris held my hand, he did it himself without me even asking. Taking in a deep breath, I feel nervous, and I don’t know why “is it ok?” she seems so quiet, and I am not seeing anything “baby is being stubborn if you are asking that, I am just trying to get a good position. Nothing bad, do not worry. Look, the baby has it’s back to us. Maybe being a little shy” Audrey put the screen on, pressing my lips into a thin line “no way, is that really my baby” I said, I can’t even believe it “so I am trying to get a better position, no need to worry” she turned the screen off “actually, I am going to try massage your baby to turn” she got up “we need it to turn, maybe I am waking it up. Do you feel the flutter? Well have you been feeling it flutter in your stomach while being here” shaking my head “then it could be asleep in the womb, let’s wake it up. Maybe not like, who is the sassy one? The baby seems sassy already” Chris pointed at me “this is just a massage ok” Audrey started massaging my stomach, my poor baby is sleeping and we about to wake it.

Looking over at Chris, he seems so quiet like very quiet “what’s wrong?” I asked, he shook his head “I am good” I didn’t ask if he was ok but yeah “I think this time I will put the screen on, I have a feeling we’re in for a show” my heart right now, I can’t wait “oh god” I don’t know why but I feel the flutters “baby is awake” I said to Chris, looking over at him “really? How you know?” he said all confused “I feel it, oh my god” I feel so excited, I want Chris to feel this excitement too but he seems really cut off and I don’t know “oh my god! Did it just yawn!?” I spat “oh my god” placing my hand over my mouth, that is it. That was all it needed for me to start crying “Robyn, don’t cry” I can’t believe it, after all this time I wanted to see my baby and this is what I am doing “oh it is active now, putting on a show” I shakily wiped my tears, our baby is really just doing the most now “I can’t believe it” looking over at Chris, he is just looking at the screen “you hear this” I gasped looking at the screen “is that the baby’ heartbeat or Robyn’?” he questioned “the baby” Audrey answered “this means so much to me, to us. I was so afraid that I would lose this one and now I see it just there moving an yawning” I can’t stop crying “that is amazing” Chris mumbled, looking at Chris again and he’s crying “don’t cry” Chris shook his head “you crying and I am crying, I just you know. I know how much this means to us, losing the first baby really hurt and I wasn’t there. Just to see the baby there just moving and living, it’s alive Robyn. I can’t believe it, I am just trying to digest it” I was wondering why he was so quiet; I want to reach over and wipe his tears so bad.

“Is that the hand up?” Chris pointed out “yes it is, it is waving to you. Hi mommy and daddy” Audrey saying that is going to set me off “this baby is active, so you can see the brain and everything wow. I felt a little weird about coming here, I don’t know. I feel like I didn’t get that bond like Robyn does, I see her bump growing but I just felt like I missed out on her, we have been together for like a month you know, and just felt that disconnect but seeing this. It’s just hit my heart, it has” Chris’ voice broke “I love my wife and my kid a lot I do, I just feel like I saw Robyn go and then I see her and she has a bump, and it is because I care. I want to have that connection I do” he never mentioned this to me ever “this is very normal, sorry to get involved. But men in these situations feel useless, to the side when the woman is going through this journey and speaking to your husband, things like oh a flutter, a kick. Let him feel, touch, be close. Talk to him about the baby, men do feel this” Audrey said, and she isn’t wrong “I have been hiding my bump from the world but also him and I have been shying away from it, when he was playfully trying to lift my top I put it down, but I didn’t think it upset you like that, I just didn’t think. I just feel shy with you, it’s a lot of change sorry Chris” I have been so bad with him, he has been affected by my actions.

Looking at the polaroid’s, we have so many because our baby was just doing the most “that is crazy, it looks like the baby is waving to us. Like see y’all both soon” Chris said while holding one of them up “I love that one so much, baby put on a show for us. I love how active it is, I am so happy. Thank you” Chris held out the polaroid to me “for what?” he questioned “for making my wish come true, you always do. I know at times you like to say no and probably may disagree, but you always do it, you always come through and make my wishes come true” he leaned over and pressed a kiss to my lips “I am sorry, I really wanted to tell you what gender you was both having. I have a feeling, but I am not one hundred percent but when you come again I can tell you, I am not telling you what I think it is but anyways, I am happy with the progress. I think we have a mover on our hands and we are on route for August, how do you both feel?” Audrey asked “excited” Chris answered “good, it’s good to communicate and keep up this bond. It’s a stressful time for everyone involved and it’s not even in a bad way, but if you need anything. I am on call for you” I am so impressed; I am just so happy about the pictures we got.

I keep looking at the pictures of my baby “I sent some to my mom, did you do the same?” looking over at Chris “no not yet, I will do it now actually” looks like I woke Chris up from his nap in the car “here” he held his hand out to me for the pictures “Chris, you know about earlier. At the appointment, I am sorry. I feel like I have been neglecting you a lot and it’s affecting you like that, the whole not touching my bump wasn’t malicious and I feel so bad, I am sorry” I so feel awful about it, the way he kind of broke down “I know it wasn’t Robyn, I don’t want you to feel bad ok? I understand, I love you” he is so sweet, I think tonight I am going to spoil him. He deserves it “send them to your mother though ok” I am over the moon with how the scan went.

Wrestlemania 34

Happy Wrestlemania (WM) week everyone and happy birthday to me, and what better way to celebrate the big day than by doing my annual write up of the prior year’s ‘showcase of the immortals.’ Wrestlemania 34 (WM34) gets the dubious honor of being WWE’s sole 2018 BluRay release in North America due to the declining sales of the home video market. In my entry on last year’s BluRay I chastised it for skipping out on the usually included pre-show matches. For the WM34 BluRay, WWE heard the feedback and included all three pre-show matches……..but decided to cut the usually included Hall of Fame ceremony, and once again save on budget costs and skimp out on subtitles two years in a row! Shame! I would have been furious for WWE cutting out the Hall of Fame ceremony from the BluRay, especially since two of my all-time favorites Mark Henry and Bill Goldberg were inducted last year and both delivered tremendous speeches in addition to the Dudleyz having a surprisingly fun acceptance speech courtesy of D-Von’s late discovery of humor, but last year’s ceremony will be notorious for having the Hillbilly Jim induction. Hillbilly Jim got the HoF spot usually reserved for fun opening act talent to come out and have a few laughs and share a few career highlight moments and be out of there before you know it while getting the crowd started up for the rest of the night, much like an actual opening match. I was originally looking forward to Jim’s speech because I recall him being the only highlight on Legends House with his affable light-hearted levity in that train wreck of a show. Instead, Mr. Jim had the longest speech of the night at nearly 35 minutes where he meticulously laid out his entire career and droned on about his action figure payday.

Because of Jim’s speech I found myself surprisingly gracious WWE excluded it this year, and I can always watch Henry’s and Goldberg’s speeches on the Network or YouTube. WWE had key excerpts from Henry’s speech in an excellent retrospective they recently put on the network you can check out by clicking here, so watch that instead. The DVD version of WM34 includes a code for a digital copy of the HoF ceremony, but since that is absent from the BluRay version being covered here, and for my own sanity, we will be omitting my usual Hall of Fame coverage. There is a good substitute bonus feature for the HoF, but we will get to that in a bit. The trio of kickoff matches for WM34 featured both the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and first ever Fabulous Moolah Memorial WM Women’s Battle Royal. The men’s match sadly saw Jim Ross’s and Jerry Lawler’s only commentary for the night. It paled to previous year’s editions with only a few notable eliminations like Ryder getting pounced out by Mojo. The end saw Bray Wyatt return after an absence from his ‘Ultimate Deletion’ match with Matt Hardy only to join forces with him here and help him win the Andre cup! The women’s royal featured half the participants padded out with NXT and Performance Center filler. It had an awful clunky beginning that dragged on and the only spot of note from it was the ending that transpired in the middle of Sasha’s and Bayley’s hard-to-watch rivalry where Bayley instantly turned on Sasha and disposed of her. She was then stunned by Naomi’s presence and essentially laid down for her so she could easily eliminate her in a head-shake inducing moment of the night to emerge the winner of the….curvy hip trophy. The women delivered a far superior battle royal effort at the Evolution PPV later in 2018 that told a fantastic story beginning to end so watch that instead. The cruiserweight title match between Cederic Alexander and Mustafa Ali was the sole highlight of the WM Kickoff. Ali debuted his glowy Sub-Zero-esque ring attire here, and the bout told a gripping narrative of the two representing the heart and soul of the 205 division. After some intense near-falls, Alexander walked out victorious after hitting his Lumbar Check finisher.

Onto the main card, it opened with what turned out to be the best pure match of the night with the Intercontinental title triple threat between Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. I completely forgot about the Miz-tourage until I saw them here. Unlike a lot of other triple threats, there were rarely any lulls here and several near-falls that got the crowd rocking with the highlight being Finn breaking up a pin with his Coup de Gras. Ultimately, Seth won the title after hitting his Stomp for the pin. The SmackDown Women’s Title was on the line next that saw Charlotte Flair end Asuka’s record-setting undefeated streak. I recall being stunned at this outcome as Asuka had a ton of momentum at the time and following a couple equally bummer losses to Carmella on the following PPVs she has never really recovered. She got a paper champion reign recently where she was rarely seen on TV throughout it until she suddenly dropped the title to, surprise, Charlotte. Despite it being a great WM match for the women, I will remember this as being the beginning of the end for Asuka. So in-between WM33 and 34, believe it or not Jinder Mahal got a half year title reign as WWE Champion and WWE will tell you it was not because he got suddenly jacked while they were trying a hard market push into India. Mahal lost the title a few month prior, but he got a nice consolation prize leaving WM34 the new US champion in a Fatal Four Way match between him, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Rusev in a solid, but forgettable match-up. Speaking of forgettable multi-person title matches, the SmackDown tag title triple threat between the Usos, New Day and Bludgeon Brothers fit that billing in what was a showcase for the on-the-rise Bludgy Bros. Unfortunately, the Bludgies specialize in plodding, big-man offense that did not capture this WM crowd when they eventually hit their top-rope powerbomb on Kofi to win the titles. The Bludgeon Brothers eventually evolved into a decent team and were starting to have some seriously good matches by Summerslam, but then Luke Harper suffered an ill-timed injury and the team was forced off TV. On a quick aside, I will give my sympathies to the Usos have only wrestled on WM entirely in pre-show matches for nearly a whole decade before finally making their primary WM card debut here to only lose the tag titles in a quick get-it-over with match.

What was not forgettable transpired next to be my overall best match of the night. While the IC title match was the best ‘pure’ wrestling match, the mixed tag between Triple H & Stephanie McMahon against Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey had the unbeatable combination of great charisma, energy, wrestling, action and moments to produce an enthralling encounter I did not foresee to be anywhere near this entertaining. The huge X Factor going in was how good would Ronda Rousey be in her WWE debut, especially with only several weeks training going in and reports of her training at the WWE Performance Center being curtained off so no one could see or take video. Rousey surpassed all expectations and premiered a WWE star-making effort as soon as she tagged in. Steph was tremendous in playing Ronda’s foil in sneak attacks and begging for mercy. Ronda was exceptional with her ruthless offense on Steph and even a memorable encounter with Triple H. Props to the announcers who accentuated the match with classic calls by Corey Graves like ‘call the cops’ as soon as Ronda was tagged in and on the precipice of unleashing her fury. I vividly recall going nuts along with the crowd throughout this match with all the big moments that played out in a brilliantly booked match-up that saw Rousey & Angle win when Rousey made Steph tap to her armbar. The much anticipated match between John Cena and Undertaker happened next and I am still trying to make sense out of it a year later. This has been a longtime WM dream match, but it featured an awkward TV buildup with Cena repeatedly calling out the Undertaker to answer his challenge on TV for several weeks only to have no response back. Cena then said he would enjoy WM in the crowd with the fans and did just that and partook in some brewskis with the fans for the first five matches before an official informed him that Undertaker was in the building. Cena darted to the back to prep up and came out at this point ready for the ‘Taker, but ‘Taker once again did not show. Eventually acoustic-savant Elias came out and sang a diddy trashing Cena until John heard enough and sent Elias packing. Cena was about to leave the arena until the trademark gong hit and eerie special effects occurred with a nice nod to the end of WM33 which was where we last saw the Dead Man. A perplexed Cena ran to the ring for the now official match…..and was promptly ‘routed’ (as Cole appropriately called) by Undertaker in less than three minutes before succumbing to the Tombstone in a one-sided match that was all Undertaker. I know Cena has been focusing more on Hollywood efforts and Undertaker is especially up there in years and perhaps this quick match was all his cardio was capable of. That was what I thought anyways until Undertaker delivered fleshed out matches later on in the year at both Saudi Arabia shows, so ultimately I have no idea why this match turned out like this. One day I hope we get interviews from both Cena and ‘Taker filling us in on what the hell happed that determined the match play out this way. That said, both individuals are mysteriously absent from the WM35 card, and if ‘Taker winds up not on the show it would be his first time missing WM since 2000. With WM35 already ridiculously overbooked currently at 15 matches, I still would not mind seeing another impromptu chapter play out between these two in someway this Sunday.

Next up was the obligatory roll call for the previous night’s HoF inductees. Mysterious by his absence was celebrity wing inductee Kid Rock (though a couple of his songs were played throughout the night as the official WM34 theme songs). I could not help but chuckle at an off-handed backstage comment by Goldberg earlier in the night from the WWE 24 special on WM34 where Goldberg stated he intentionally showed up a few hours past his expected call time to avoid idle boredom. What was not a chuckling matter was Daniel Bryan overcoming WWE doctors’ three year ban on him from competition to wrestle again in a WWE ring. His long overdue return saw him tagging with Super Shane-O Mac to take on Amazing French Canadians 2.0 Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. I am still shocked to see Shane McMahon compete here considering within the preceding month he survived a helicopter crash and suffered a hernia he postponed surgery on so he could make his WM and Saudi Arabia paydays. Shane played the partner-in-peril to perfection building up to the white-hot reaction for Bryan returning with fire hitting all his vintage moves, and somehow Shane was able to recuperate and pull off his Coast to Coast too. Eventually Bryan hit his running knee for the feel-good win of the show. WWE tried to build up the RAW Women’s Title match as another feel-good moment of overcoming bullying between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss. It was difficult to convey this though because until a few weeks before Nia’s whole shtick for her near two years on WWE TV was using her size advantage to bully others, and all of a sudden cameras picking up on Alexa disparaging Nia’s size one time was suppose to get everyone sympathetic for Nia. It did not click and it resulted in a weak reaction for this despite both putting in a considerable effort for a good match that saw Nia win the title with a Samoan Drop from the middle turnbuckle. It did not help matters that within several weeks Nia was back to being a villain again so Rousey could have a metaphorical monster to slay (in all seriousness, Nia legit gels with Rousey and so far this past year I feel Rousey’s best matches have been with Nia) in her quest for gold.

Another disappointing match followed between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Title. I recall getting burnt out and in desperate need of a break at this point in the night of my original viewing and was hoping it held up better second time around. That was not the case, as the bout had a good initial chapter, but the two rarely got out of second gear until the closing minutes of the contest where things really amped up. It was a little better watching this with a fresh set of eyes, but not much and a far cry from their epic NJPW encounter at the beginning of 2016. Shinsuke’s heel turn though was well executed and fun to relive where he could not handle defeat and therefore delivered his first of many to come low blows to ‘The Phenomenal One.’ Re-watching the following RAW tag titles match next though with a fresh set of eyes was interesting where everyone wondered who the hell Braun Strowman would pick to be his tag team partner against Cesaro and Sheamus. I had no idea either and thought WWE would resort to a retired legend or celebrity and was taken aback when Braun wandered the crowd aimlessly before settling on a ‘fan’ in the form of a middle schooler going by Nicholas who later on was revealed to be the referee of the match’s son. This was the perfect placement for this type of match because I was in serious need of levity and needed something like this to recharge me for the remainder of the night. I got a kick when Braun tagged in Nicholas briefly for an awkward eye contact moment with Cesaro before Braun quickly tagged back in and finished him off with his powerslam to make Nicholas the youngest ever tag team champion....until they had to relinquish them the next night due to Nicholas’s school obligations. Turns out Corey Graves was correct when he had the line of the night upon their victory when exclaiming “Doesn’t he have Algebra and stuff?”

As bizarre and befuddling as the John Cena/Undertaker match was, I was doubly befuddled at the conclusion of the main event Universal title match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. The crowd was dumping on this match throughout with nasty chants and eventually having more interest in executing the wave. Brock had a prolonged beatdown on Roman which saw a total of 10 overhead/german suplexes and six F5s. It was reminiscent of the Summerslam 2014 throttling of John Cena. I (and the crowd) felt the beatdown on Roman was foreshadowing Roman ‘hulking up’ for the eventual win. Every Roman kickout lead to more and more boos because presumably I/they did not want another rah-rah Roman win to end WM. Roman took some nasty blows from Brock to open him up BAD as he was gushing all over the ring that was the catalyst for his comeback until he was caught with a sixth and decisive F5 from Brock for the abrupt end to the match that I think no one saw coming and I am still scratching my head over. A big part of me was relieved when it happened, but another part was shocked that WWE pulled the trigger on that finish. Even more jaw-dropping to me is when watching the aforementioned WWE 24 special on WM34 that shows after the match Brock emerging backstage and giving the cold shoulder walk past Vince and literally tossing the championship he could not care a single iota about directly onto Vince’s lap and Vince yelling at him ‘YOU ASSHOLE’ to Brock’s back. I know I always heard Brock is only there for his limited days for the big-money contract and keeps to himself, and seeing his genuine not give a damn reaction to Vince and the rest of the staff was a real eye opener. I will still root and cheer for Brock and his unique style he brings to his matches , but damn was this a way to end WM with the rare occasion where a heel left WM champion. I mentioned earlier WWE had a decent alternative to the HoF as extra features on the WM34 BluRay. That came in the form of the entire day-after RAW and a couple key moments from the next SmackDown. The entire RAW was just over two hours since there are no commercials. I am not going to recap the whole thing here, but it was cool reliving it for the raucous WM-weekend crowd and the expected NXT call-ups that debuted that night and looking back on the past year to see how far they have come. This was a nice substitute to the HoF, and as much as I jest about being relieved it was left off this year, I do hope the HoF is included in next year’s BluRay. Overall, I would have to give WrestleMania 34 a thumbs in the middle. Of the 14 matches only four of them are must-see (205 title, IC triple threat, Mixed Tag, RAW Women’s title) and a few matches underperformed/disappointed. Add to the fact the bonkers nature of the Cena/Undertaker and Universal title matches and it tallies up to a WM that can be best to jump around to the key moments of. Mystic Messenger Imagine (Mystic Messenger)

(A/N: I know this confuse you af but actually, just pretend you play mystic messenger and the charas are only different in name and see how they react to it lol)

Zen

"(Name)~ (Name)~ I have a good news~!" Zen said as he approached you on the couch immediately after receiving a call from his boss. He was so excited and wanted to tell you so badly until he saw you giggling and sighing contentedly on yourself while holding your phone close to your ear.

"Why are your voice is so damn soothing. Oh my God seriously this voice actor, good job!" You said and when the voice is suddenly gone, it was a sign for you to pull back and see for choosing the option.

"(Name)? What are you doing?" Zen asked as he looked on your phone from behind and you got startled that you nearly dropped your phone.

"Z-Zen!" You turned around and somehow quickly got off from the couch, walking away from him and held the phone close to your ear before reaching your hand to stop him from speaking "Just a moment. Let me finish this call first"

Zen looked confused and wanted to protest but he ended up letting you finished your business first. After you seems to finish calling (and it annoyed him that you looked so blissful about it), he approached you with a frown.

"So... Who were you calling?"

"Hmm? It's just someone~" You grinned and he looked hurt by what you said as what he suspected maybe true even though he didn't want to believe.

"You're... You're not... Cheating on me right?"

You blinked your eyes before pretending to look hurt and looked away with your hand covered your mouth "So that's how you think of me huh..."

"N-No! I want to believe that you are not but the way you react on that call..."

You took a glance on him and seeing that he seems to feel really hurt about this, you ended your acting and showed the call history to him "It's from Ken, a fictional character"

Zen stared at the phone for a while and processed what you just said while you stifled a laugh at his reaction.

"Ehhhhh?!"

And you just burst out laughing at his shock reaction and clutched your stomach. Zen pouted before he suddenly tickled you for his revenge and you laughed even more. Later on as you asked for a give up and Zen toned down, you explained the whole thing about the game and showed the picture.

"He looks like me.... But I'm still hotter than him of course"

"Hahaha well yeah, that's why I'm chasing him in this game"

"But it doesn't make sense. Why would you playing this when you already have a real boyfriend?"

"Umm... Because it looks interesting? And I love the call feature~ His voice oh my God~"

Zen frowned before suddenly he had an idea and took out his phone "So if I call you more often, you won't be bothered by that game right? I mean my voice is much more soothing than him"

You deadpanned "But we are like next to each other"

"But you said-"

"Alright alright, I won't call him okay? I will only listen to your voice. Happy?" You said as his eyes were already teary before he nodded and hugged you.

"Yey! Ah I almost forgot! You see, I got a role for a-"

"Wait, a new chat room!"

"...."

"I'm just kidding, Zen" You giggled before listening to what he had to say (and play later when you're alone lol).

Yoosung

You two were facing each other, slowly leaning closer with both of your eyes closed. It was indeed the perfect moment with what they thought of 'no disturbance at all' until speak of the devil, your phone vibrated with a ringtone of a guy's voice.

"Finally! It's about time bruh" You said when you checked your phone and quickly pulled away from Yoosung.

Meanwhile, he looked dumbfounded as he knew you two were about to kiss but what? Was there something more important than kissing him?

"Oh God.... Stop mentioning Tika. I'm not Tika, Loosung" You grumbled while glaring at your phone.

"Uhh.... (Name)?"

"Calm down (Name), you got this. Just be patient and he will change"

"(Name)....?"

"But damn it really is annoying!"

"(Name)!" You flinched when Yoosung took your phone and puffed his cheeks "You ignored me"

"A-Ah! Sorry!" You apologized and he sighed before returning your phone.

"It's that game again that you've been playing, isn't it?"

"Ehehehhe... Y-Yeah..."

Yoosung pouted and looked away "I even skip the LOLOL event for you..."

A guilty feeling started to form inside you and the fact how a gamer that actually prioritize his girl more than the game really means he really, really loves you (as in the keeper) and yet... You didn't do the same to him.

"Yoosung?"

"Hm?" He turned to look at you before suddenly, you pressed your lips against his.

"I'm really sorry about before.. I should vibrate this phone and put it away as far as possible" You said after you pulled away and smiled.

Yoosung widen his eyes before frowning slightly "No more playing that game?"

"No more. Well more like not now since our moment comes first, anyway you get the point" You said slightly rambling.

"Alright. You are forgiven" He grinned and you smiled before you two just proceed to cuddling.

Jumin Han

"What are you doing, (Name)?"

You looked up to see Jumin with Elizabeth the 3rd on his arms as he approached you before sitting next to you.

"I'm playing this game called Mystic Messenger. It's kinda addicting" You giggled nervously.

"Is that why you look tired everyday? Have you been getting enough sleep?" Jumin asked and you slightly averted your gaze from him.

"Y-Yeah?"

"(Name). Look at me"

You turned your attention back to him slowly, only to see his expression turned into a displeased one. Was he going to lecture you?

"You know it's bad for your health if you don't get enough sleep. What if you suddenly get sick?"

Yeap. Here we go.

"I will be fine! You worry too much, Jumin"

"Of course I am. I care on your well being"

You sighed but then smiled slightly at how caring he is "Thanks but really I'm fine"

"Elizabeth is worried about you too for your information" He said and you looked at Elizabeth's seemly innocent face which you just patted her head.

"Don't worry. I'm fine! I'm totally fine, meow!" You then raised your hands and posed like a cat while winking at him.

"If you really say so, (Name)" Jumin said before taking your phone and kept it inside his pocket "But since we are together right now, it will be nice if you don't put your attention to the game... Meow"

You widen your eyes before giggling at how Jumin actually just said meow to you "Okay then meow! Then, can we cuddle?"

"Of course, you can sit on my lap" Jumin said and you did what he said (well Elizabeth will be on your lap instead) before he wrapped his arms around your waist.

"But to be honest, you should delete that game since it really consumes your sleep time"

"I'll... Try..."

Jaehee

"Jaehee, Jaehee!" You called onto her and quickly sit next to her as you showed your phone to her.

"What is it?"

"You should play Mystic Messenger, it's so addicting!"

Jaehee looked at it with blank expression before adjusting her glasses "That is nice of you but you know how busy I am with all the works from being Mr. Han's assistant"

"Well I know but sometimes in life, you need a break like you know. You need to have fun! Yeah, that's it!" You said, trying to convince her but she didn't seem to be interested.

"(Name), work is important since it's my only source of income. You should get a job too soon"

You pouted "I know I know. I'm still waiting for Mr. Han's answer right? But anyway for now, why don't you look at me playing?"

Jaehee sighed at your stubbornness before she just gave in "Alright since you insist"

You cheered and you showed the chat to her while explaining to her.

"Okay... So basically it's a dating game but in form of texting and calling" Jaehee concluded and you nodded.

"It's so cool right? And the guys Jaehee oh my God. So handsome! Although, I'm chasing the girl here now- Speaking of guys"

You quickly went to the album and showed the picture of Ken "There's this guy who's exactly like Zen. Seriously, he's a super narcissist but also hot af. It's  basically a fictional version of Zen so, you can fantasize of being with him through this game~" You ended with a knowing grin to her.

Jaehee stared at the picture for a while before clearing her throat "Well but still, it's just fictional character. I don't have time to delude myself into fantasy like that"

"Right... We'll see about that" You giggled "The name is Mystic Messenger, just in case you forgot already so you can quickly download it girl"

Jaehee just sighed and stood up as she walked over to the kitchen "I'm going to make some coffee"

A few days later after that incident, it didn't take a long time for you to discover that Jaehee was secretly playing whenever she got a free time (and apparently annoyed at how she missed the call with Ken).

"Welcome to hell, Jaehee"

"Yeah?"

"What name do you think I should put for my character?"

Luciel showed you his phone "Well, I give the name John Cena though"

You laughed "Damnn. You wanna turn this dating game into a meme? Besides, I'm surprised you actually play this game"

"Cause you're playing it so I'm playing it too. Besides, I heard there's a character which is like me"

"Yeap~ I'm gonna chase him~"

"If only there's a character like you..."

"Maybe there is? Although it's all guys here..."

"There's a girl"

"One girl only. So that means you have no choice but to chase her"

"We'll see~"

You finally finished downloaded and started playing. Luciel also played with you although you couldn't really see his progress since you were so focus on your phone.

"Eh? There's John Cena here too? Oh my God!" You laughed "Is this game know meme?"

"I guess so"

"Then you should change your name then, Luciel~"

"Nah, this is funny. Two John Cenas"

You laughed before focusing to your game again. You proceed on the chat and even though the other characters seem to have normal name and interesting faces but, this John Cena guy interest you the most. And for some reasons, he's similar to Luciel too.

"Oh! You can call?" You said and pressed the call button on John Cena to try since you were curious on the voice. If they could make it the same as the original, this game is gonna be the mvp.

At the same time, Luciel's phone suddenly ringing and he excused himself for a while as he went to his room. You just nodded and waited until you heard the sound of the call being picked up.

And that meme came... With the bgm as well.

"Oh my God!" You laughed and slightly pulled your phone away due to the loud voice and felt surprised.

"Well hello~ You're calling to the awesome John Cena" You heard the voice and immediately, you knew whose voice was this even though obviously he tried to fake it.

"Luciel? This is Luciel right?"

However, he seems to go on and ignored you which made you confused.. Until suddenly his voice just gone all of the sudden.

"Huh? Hello?" You said and pulled away your phone before looking at your phone which showed two options.

"You sound so damn fine"

"I think I make a wrong call since I, Mrs. Choi actually want to call my husband"

"I knew it. He tricked me!" You puffed your cheeks before laughing when you read the second option again "But hmm... What should I choose? If I choose the first one and I already it's him, it just makes him more conceited. But I will do the same if I choose the second one... But again let's pretend I don't know so"

You chose the first one and there was a chuckle on the other side before he seems to sounds proud.

"Hell yeah I am that I even rule the meme world. So how about becoming the queen of meme kingdom?"

You giggled "Geez Luciel... Queen of meme world?". And again there was no voice which indicated you to have to choose the options again.

"Yes"

"But I, Mrs. Choi already has a husband. That means, I have to reject you. Sorry"

"He really emphasize on this Mrs. Choi stuff huh" You thought before in the end just gave in as you chose the second option.

"Ah is that so? That's too bad then. Your husband must be so lucky to have a fine woman as you are. But well nice talking to you, my people need me to be used in their videos. Can't be helped it as the king of meme kingdom, I have to listen to my people's requests. Talk to you later! Peace out!"

And the call was done. A few minutes after that, Luciel came back and sat next to you, looking innocent while you just looked at him suspiciously.

"What?"

"Nothing~ I just had a wonderful call with Mr. John Cena. Although it seems I cannot chase him since I, Mrs. Choi is already married"

"Is that so" He replied nonchalantly and you stared at him before tackled him down with you on top of him.

"Stop lying. I know it's you, idiot"

"What are you saying?" Luciel looked away and you looked at him suspiciously before snatching his phone from his hand.

"H-Hey!"

"I knew it! So you tricked me huh. I should have known from a hacker like you" You said and pouted at him while he just grinned.

"I thought it will be funny to trick you. Although I didn't expect that you will call so soon, I haven't prepared for that"

You sighed before getting off him and returned his phone "But well, nice job for trying to fake your voice"

"Well thank you"

"It was a sarcasm"

"I know"

You puffed your cheeks and huffed before turning around to play other game instead. As you played, you felt Luciel resting his back on you and suddenly, your phone rang.

You sighed as you knew who it would be but since it bothered your play, you switched back to the MM app. However when you saw the name, you blushed slightly and smiled before picking up.

"Yes, Mr. Choi?"

"Well hello Mrs. Choi~ You have a damn fine name there"
