i wanted to talk a bit about why drawing this panel kicked my ass (warning: this is very disjointed)

i mean yeah the implications of what she's saying and stuff, obviously

the thing is lydia doesn't cry. you never see her cry in the show. she's very subdued when compared to beetlejuice who is always very loud about whatever he's feeling and he'll scream and cry and wail etc but lydia is a lot calmer. she's the sensible and emotionally mature (although we're comparing her to bj so the bar isn't that high to begin with lol) of the two. i think when characters like her, who are grounded and put together, just....break? emotionally? or something just gets to them? that's. oof man.

she's not breaking here, but this smile isn't like her other smiles. she's straining because she doesn't want to cry in front of bj; she knows that would break him. she's expressing gratitude, but the reason why she's thankful is what's tough for her to talk about, especially in front of him. that's not really something she would want bj to know about, but how else can she thank him? so there's that, but there's also the fact that she doesn't know bj already knows that, but he kept quiet about it because that's not something he would want her to know about, and now she does. which is why his face is twisting a bit in the following panel.

and this is actually what i wanted to talk about. drawing bj's expressions when he's having all sorts of emotions isn't that hard. he's always very expressive and loud about his emotions. drawing him having mixed emotions, or expressions he's never shown in the series...that IS a bit harder. but he still makes for a great vehicle to express any sort of emotion, he's just very easy to fit into.

what really got me was drawing this expression for her. this is something most artists do, but when i draw facial expressions that need to have, like, Real Emotion put into them, i tend to make the same faces myself, unconsciously lol. i'm sure watching me draw is a riot (i stick out my tongue a lot like a fuckin idiot) but when it's stuff like this, it can kinda get to you too. sometimes you need to reach very deep into a character's subconscious to pull out that specific emotion and the journey isn't always pretty. it can be emotionally taxing on you as well. empathy and all that shit, but more specifically you're being the conveyor of those emotions right now, through your art, so you kinda have to feel it a bit too in order to express it.

this strained smile she's making. with the little shrug to downplay her own emotions. oh boy.

sorry if none of this makes much sense. i've been keeping a lot to myself to avoid spoiling people and also because this comic is consuming me so much that i haven't really been talking to anybody these days lol. i don't have anyone i show my wips to or discuss ideas with, so i have to sit on it until it's time to post......and then you get weird posts like this one

Yuurin: *grabs his arms, maneuvers herself so that he's positioned over her shoulder, and then forcefully slams him down onto the rock*

Yuurin: *quickly swims back up to create distance*

Jack: Floyd-senpai is after him!

Floyd: Don't escape from me, Damselfish~. *has caught up to her*

DRDT CH2 EP16 First Impressions

We’ve reached the end of the chapter! A bittersweet feeling, finally getting closure on this chapter while also ushering in a new hiatus. Still, congrats to dev for making it this far! Hope they enjoy their break, while we enjoy whatever they’ve cooked up for the ending!

Without further ado, let us enjoy peak.

Okay wait it’s actually kinda weird to see the new David sprites outside of the Trial. Like it’s trippy idk why. That’s crazy.

Eden: “Why her of all people?” Poor Eden, at least give her an answer! Even if it’s just “it was the easiest option” man.

Whit: “I really thought that no one would repeat what happened to Xander and Min.” Is this the very first piece of anti-Whit Time Loop theory evidence? Or is he just lying? I don’t believe the theory, so I’m passing that one to the defenders.

Ace: “I killed her. And if you can’t forgive me for that, then there’s nothing I can say.”

Hey remember when Nico said they didn’t see the point of saying sorry if they wouldn’t be forgiven anyways? Yeah.

Both Teruko and Eden blaming themselves in their own way (Eden mentioned it in Ep10 “just like Min!” and now Teruko’s bringing “misfortune” into the conversation), man we are in for some sad times with these two. And everyone else ig.

Hu: “How could you say it’s just misfortune?” And Hu is very against this idea, interesting.

“So we can’t blame ourselves for failing to prevent something like that.” Ah, there’s the ticket. She’s trying not to feel guilty about it, which is kinda fair, Arei’s death is 99% Ace’s fault.

Eden: “The Ace I met for the first time wasn’t a murderer.” Oof, Eden hitting us with the full highlight line. She’s so great for this honestly. Everything she says afterwards is also great for her character, I love her (and I don’t need to read her lines with suspicion!!! I’m free!!!)

Veronika. And she’s still smiling. Go worst girl! /affectionate

“The only thing anyone can do in this killing game is to shatter.” We are… getting worryingly close to secret quote wording here.

Rose: “Are you saying Ace was pushed into killing because of things like almost being killed?” (Paraphrased) Oh God she’s gonna feel guilty too because she let Nico get the turpentine! Even if that doesn’t work if Ace had already chosen to kill Eden, still! How much self-blame can we have this trial?

Teruko: “No.” Yeah thank you.

Ace: “Did you all get the Veronika virus or what?” God I’m gonna miss him so much actually.

[To Levi] “Shut up for the rest of your life and kill yourself!” Holy SHIT he’s going out with a bang. {Hindsight: I didn’t realize how accurate this would be}

David: “You still have it in you to throw stones in your glass house.” Did this motherfucker correctly use the idiom Ace fucked up earlier? He’s such a piece of shit /affectionate.

Ace: “I don’t care if it made me a hypocrite!” AGH-! New sprite and the voice acting continues the hot streak of being absolutely fucking stellar! Holy hell!

[To Levi] “I just needed a reason to stay mad at you!” Ouchie!

[The whole Levi v Ace thing] This is just fucking incredible. Levi still doesn’t understand, Ace just wanted to stay mad so he could live with his betrayal, just peak character writing all around. And peak VAing, of course.

Teruko: “I need you to do a favor for me. It might just save your life.” YOOO I CALLED THIS!!! Blackened Blaze of Glory let’s fucking goooo!!!! Thanks to shinycrows for asking me that!!!

“Kill MonoTV for me.” Alright so. Not the best plan ever, but then again, it’s not like any plan against the killing game will work on CH2. Also the way she said that was great.

MonoTV: “Yeah, more murder!” Why’s it so funny for?

Teruko: “Arei died because you’re a coward, Ace!” YO why’s she going so hard right now?! This entire scene is incredible, I don’t even have any words for this much peak. The emotion in her voice, holy fuck- Oh yeah because Arei’s crying reminded her of something! In the playground! So Teruko does have a small connection with Arei so she’d feel real bad (for more reason than just death of someone she knew)! I didn’t put that together till now.

[Ace punches MonoTV] PEAAAK! Oh shit it actually broke! That was so fucking awesome! Let’s fucking go Ace!!!!! Also MonoTV is definitely just coming back, right?

That broken MonoTV sprite though!

Eden: “Finally, it’s over—“ The lack of music is making this really impactful, even though we know it won’t work. Holy shit.

MonoTV: “A fatal error has been detected” We breaking out different fonts?

MonoTV: “Now loading the default XF-Ture personality drivers.”

Now we have the question. Was MonoTV created by XF for the game? Or did XF just create the AI, and someone repurposed it for thre killing game?

[MonoTV speech] Didn’t expect MonoTV of all damn characters to have a badass moment, but I guess this is the world we live in now.

“But there is no reason to punish Ace a second time.” UHHH Chat are we cooked?

The death of every participant? This is about rule 14, right? “All murderers must be held accountable”? The “everyone is responsible for Mai’s death and must be punished” theory seems to be gaining ground.

It’s also saying this is why it was created, so XF likely did have a direct hand in the killing game. Min MM not looking so implausible all of the sudden.

“I will pass the punishment…” chat we’re actually immensely cooked what.

“I will now proceed with the execution of Teruko Tawaki.” UHHH LUCK BETTER COME IN CLUTCH!!!

… Okay, so. I know someone brought up this term in relation to Ace. Genius, first.

Second, that might just be one of the greatest executions I’ve even seen, if not the best. I usually don’t care much about how good executions are, but this… this is incredibly good. The music was banging. The execution method was unique. It wasn’t related to his talent, but his character, which makes it better imo.

(Also are the “unexplained illnesses” related to Xander’s family?)

And even through all this… dev showed the corpse. When they didn’t show Min’s. Why would you allow me to cope even further? You drop XF and show a corpse- holy shit. I just can’t even process anything.

And he didn’t say his quote. He never said it I don’t think. Levi better survive.

VERONIKA. Holy shit she’s actually getting more and more unhinged by the second the hell-? Yeah remember when she looked unnerved by Min’s execution?!?! She ain’t looking unnerved no more!

Hu: “The elevator is open!” We’re just- gonna ignore- Alright, I guess it’s fair. Surely Levi survives right?

Rose please tell me you looked away. I know you saw Levi so it’s not looking great either way, but still.

“Everyone was gone.” Alright no, she’s just going to mourn or something?

[Teruko reflects on her similarities to Ace and Arei] I really like this moment, it’s nice of her to say what the audience was probably already thinking.

MonoTV: “I must convince everyone that I’m the villain.” And what does this mean MonoTV? Genuinely too burnt out to think about it any harder rn.

MonoTV: “That is the fate that I have, to make others suffer.” HOW ARE WE TYING MONO FUCKING TV TO THE THEME OF FATE?!?!?!WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT FUCKING “TERUKO-MONOTV PARALLELS” WHAT THE FUCK?! DEV YOU SON OF A BITCH YOU DID IT AGAIN!!! /positive

… Are we seriously leaving it on a cliffhanger whether Levi is alive or not? Like, I know the “surviving students” thing counted him, so I’m guessing he’s alive, but… hot damn. This is an evil cliffhanger.

(Also I find it funny that David’s silhouette sprite did in fact change to what the dev said was his new default lol)

Okay, in… ascending order of crazy.

Did David just… not speak almost the entire episode? Did he even have any lines when Teruko was being executed? The fuck is going on with him? He didn’t even reveal Teruko’s secret???

Veronika was unhinged. Loved that for her. Hope she gets worse, it seems like CH3 will be a fun chapter for her (I hope that doesn’t mean she dies).

Whit officially gets his very own unhinged/breakdown sprite! We’ve completed the set! I mean, it’s not as crazy as others, but it matches Rose’s so…

Everyone endures further trauma, fun.

I even feel bad for Arturo! Poor guy did not ask for this shit! There’s fun foils here with Levi trying to protect the group as much as he can and Arturo being forced into the role…

Also. Of all ships. I did not expect Aceturo to get a dub here somehow.

I somehow called more or less predicted what Teruko was gonna do. Fun how that happened. And her little character reflection at the end was awesome, I loved it very much. Jesus fuck.

That’s gotta be the best execution I’ve ever seen, hands down. I don’t care that there wasn’t a single horse there. This is much better.

Also, no secret quote from Ace. So those are 100% not a good metric for defining who is at risk of death. Wonder if that means we’ll get a flashback with him?

XF-Ture Tech?!?!?! MonoTV character building kinda?!?!?!?! I’m going crazy?!?!?!

Levi??? This motherfucker better be alive. There’s no reason he should be dead, so I’m gonna assume he’s alive. But wow… I guess weightedblankettt was sorta right on the “final orbit” interpretation of Levi’s connection to Shoemaker-Levy 9, just… not in a way we expected. (If that meant nothing to you don’t worry about it).

And Ace… Hot damn. Just… an entire character arc at the eleventh minute, huh? How’s that for the people who were saying Ace wouldn’t be remembered, huh? Levi probably owes him his life, in a way. He broke MonoTV. He faced his thanatophobia to try to help Levi survive. Just… so fucking good. I said it in the reaction. I genuinely felt just as much grief for him as I did Min. And coming from me, that’s… a lot. Just incredible writing and voice acting and everything in between…

This cements it, btw. This is my favorite trial from anything DR related ever. It’s genuinely insane. I am going to make a more detailed, more coherent post analyzing the entirety of Part 2 of this chapter, because it deserves it. It deserves more thought than I’m able to give right now on account of feeling too many emotions. Stay tuned for that, I guess.

Props to the dev, the VAs, and anyone who might have laid a hand on this at some point. It’s genuinely incredible, this is an unforgettable experience. Holy shit.

I read your takes on Clexa and I am fangirling at how accurate I think they are. So I would really like to hear your thoughts on something, if you don't mins.

Imagine if accursed 307 went a little bit different at the end and Titus' aim was a bit surer and he got his target. So Lexa heard a commotion and went to investigate, she opens doors only to see Clarke's shocked face. Followed by Clarke's limp body fall into her arms. There is a lot of blood, Clarke is unresponsive and there is Titus, 10 feet away with a smoking gun.

What would be Lexa thoughts, emotions?

What will she do next, considering current political situation?

What do you think she will be doing if the wound is fatal?

I think Lexa's initial reaction would've been complete shock and terror. That's what it was when she heard the shots from her room and you know that because rather than reaching for a weapon or armor or calling for her guard, she disregarded all of her training and all of her knowledge of power, and simply had to get to Clarke as fast as possible.

Heart pounding, terror stricken, she just had to get to Clarke.

And I don't think her initial reaction would've been any different if she had stumbled upon a wounded Clarke in thah room.

But that only would've been an instantaneous response that was then shed away, because she is so used to reacting on her feet. The gunshots posed an unknown threat, so admittedly it got the best of her (actually shitty writing got the best of her because she absolutely would not have done that but hahahhaha anyway 😒). But blood? Pain? She knows those intimately. She knows what to do with that. She's been in innumerable battles and delt with injuries and gore and so on from such a young age, and everything we ever saw of her showed that even when she was startled, her brain was always going at the speed of lightning. While everyone around her is still accessing a situation, she's already taken it all in and is mentally 10 miles down the road in terms of what she's going to do.

With that in mind, I think Lexa's next reaction would be to tend to Clarke, plain and simple. It would've been the instinctual thing she did - reach for her, run to her, scoop her up and be there to comfort just as she always did whenever she felt Clarke needed her. She would've shouted not only for Titus to get a healer, but also she probably would've bellowed for anyone within earshot to find a healer while she herself administered first aid (ya know more than just pouring water on it dO YOU HEAR ME TALKING CLARKE DO YOU FUCKING HEAR ME)

*deep breath*

I think it would've probably been the most terror stricken she's ever felt in her life.

Because she can accept her own death. In fact has accepted the reality of it since she was first called. She has overcome the loss of her people, the potential loss of her power. Lost her own innocence and her first love. Has overcome the pain of having to take the life of her most trusted ally by her own hand and pretend it didn't bother her at all.

But I think the chaos of that moment would've kind of snapped everything into focus. Because while it's one thing to accept the danger in the abstract idea of sending Clarke back to Arkadia with a sweet kiss on her lips and a prayer that she'll be ok so that one day they'll meet again, it's another horror entirely feeling the warm finality of her death seeping out of a bullet wound and onto her hands.

Losing another lover? One she loves deeper than she ever thought possible? Her equal in every regard?

I just think she would have felt the most scared she'd ever been in her life. The most desperate. The most powerless...

As for what she'd do next, I don't think whether Clarke lived or died would've changed anything in respect to Titus.

I think she would've killed him.

Whether in that room or in a public execution, either way he would've died by her hand for personal reasons and political reasons, and I think rightfully so on both accounts, because consider how it would make her look in the eyes of her people.

He not only directly disobeyed her orders and went rogue with his own plans, he made an attempt on a clan ambassador's life without order or tangible justification. Lexa had not only publicly vowed that Clarke would be under her protection while in Polis, but she gave orders that they had until sundown to be back at Arkadia.

And he just said fuck it, fuck you, Imma do what I want.

In him doing that, he would've made Lexa not only look weak, but also look as though she wasn't even in control of her own direct subordinates. If someone as heralded and protected and trusted by the throne as the Fleimkepa can get away with subverting Lexa's rule... why should anyone else bother listening to her? Why shouldn't anyone else make attempts on any life they so wish? He would have effectively undermined every single thing she and her unified rule over the coalition stood for.

And on top of everything, Clarke is not just anyone.

She is Wanheda.

If Clarke died and Lexa didn't kill Titus, then that would indicate that Titus now has power over death. That coupled with him blatantly usurping Lexa's command? Uhhhhh. No. Can't let that stand. Not for a single second.

If Clarke lived and she didn't kill Titus, then that would indicate that anything Lexa says is free for challenge because she obviously does not follow through with consequences for direct crimes. Clarke's life is now even more free for the taking to any who should be so bold. The kongeda means nothing because Lexa's power is no longer absolute. Obviously, she can't let that stand either.

So really that bald bitch signed his own death warrant the second he picked up that gun, no matter the outcome. But also, no matter the outcome, for every bit he spewed his bullshit about Clarke weakening Heda, those actions alone would've severely hurt her image on the political stage regardless of the fine details.

Because now she's open to even more murmurings of deferential treatment to Clarke, specifically, but also to the Skaikru as a whole by sheer association. Her allegiance to the coalition vs Clarke and Co. would be questioned and antagonized and tested at every turn (more than it already was.)

Inevitably it all would've been a clusterfuck, and civil war on Lexa and the coalition would've become inevitable I think.

And frankly????

That would've been A Lot more interesting to watch than the slop that they gave us 🙄

ok so you guys know how fugo is like. from a rich family. like no matter who you ask his backstory is that he was a rich kid and then he got kicked out of his family for getting too silly.

but like if his family is really influential why doesn't anyone seem to be taken aback by his last name?why does no one care? he literally goes by it all the time. you would think people would be a little surprised that the son of a rich family is part of a gang

therefore i think either one of two things is true:

1. literally everyone and their mother heard about him being disowned by his family (oof) (also feels unlikely) (i can't imagine parents that seemed to care so much about their image would allow such bad publicity to be spread)

2. "fugo" isn't his family name- he made it up as a way to distance himself from his previous life (interesting for many reasons) (but mainly because one wonders what his actual surname was)

Ken would be curious to know what song were you listening to, creeping behind you without you noticing.

But when he started paying attention... oof, the lyrics were so spicy and explicit, it definitely would make him blush.

Not only that, but he would become really hot and bothered, not knowing what to do with himself. Especially because YOU were singing along and that only made things worse.

After you noticed him standing there, you would have some explaining to do.

Ken would ask a bunch of questions, like: "What is exactly this song about?" or "What does x and y mean?" and even "Who is this music for?"

You would have to explain that it was just a funny song and that it didn't need to be directed to someone specific, and of course, would have to explain what some of the lyrics meant (because he insisted).

Ken would be... amazed. He knew about sex but never had anyone been so open about it with him before. It was fascinating...

He would search for the lyrics and read them again in silence, trying to understand every single little detail. He would even try to sing along with you, and that was hilarious!

After all, you were just having fun, and Ken became more and more comfortable around sexual themes in general (which was a plus!).

A/N: This is a really terrible oneshot that I've had in my drafts for ages, so apologies. Also I apologise for not being active that much I've been quite busy whilst struggling with mental health.

"But I don't wanna gooo," I told Nat. "Why can't he throw a party some other day when I'm not busy. I need to finish moving in!" I said.

"Well, Tony is kinda throwing this party for you because you are the new avenger," Nat chuckled. 

"Then he should have thrown it two months ago when it was finally official, should I wear this dress, or the blue one?" I asked, holding up two dresses.

"The blue one, anyway, on the bright side, you-know-who will be there," she wriggled her eyebrows.

"Who, Voldemort?" I scoffed, turning away to hide my blush.

"No, Loki," she nudged my elbow. I rolled my eyes but had a smile on my face.

~Time skip~

I walked in excitedly but (tried and failed) to keep a straight face. I made my way to the avengers who were sitting around a table laughing and drinking.

"Y/n! Hello!" Thor yelled when he saw me.

"Hey Thor," I waved. I look at the spot next to him to see Loki eyeing me with a face that shows no emotion. Then, to break the awkwardness, Tony walked in with a box of alcohol.

"So I did a quick run to the bar and brought these so now we can officially PARTAAAAAY!" Tony pumped his fist up. After that, more people started to roll in. I got bored after a while so I went upstairs. I opened the doors to the living room to find Wanda watching TV.

"Hey Wanda," I said slumped next to her on the couch.

"Hello Y/n," she said, not looking away from the TV. She was watching some old black and white show. We sat in silence for a while, watching the show. After an hour I decided to head back downstairs and check on everyone.

While I was heading down the stairs when I bummed into Nat.

"Oh, hey Nat. What's going on?" I noticed she had an annoyed face.

"Stark convinced the boys to drink more and now it's chaos down there. The boys got crazy drunk. Even Bruce and Loki are drinking alot," she sighed.

"Oof. Well imma check it out!" I chuckled.

It was absolute chaos. Clint was singing while swinging from the chandler, Thor was wearing a poptart box as a hat while swinging his hammer at non-existent villains, Tony and Rodney were arguing weather the moon was made out of cheese, Steve and Bucky were having a throwing contest with his shield, which so far had resulted to several broken windows.

"Um, is everything ok?" I asked flustered.

"oH, helloY/n!" Loki slurred, waving franticly at me from his spot on the floor.

"Uh, hi?" I said, worried because when I walked in Loki was wondering aloud how long it would take to chop off all of Thor's hair blindfolded.

"Hey, did anyone tell you that ya look very pretty?"

"Um," I was shocked. "Thanks?"

Loki tried to stand up, but stumbled from all the achohal.

"Oof!" I said, as the god crashed into me, resulting us to fall down.

The next thing I knew, Loki was on top of me, and we were laying on the ground, our faces only centimeters apart.

I coughed nervously, and tried to get up but unLuCkY mE, a stool fell on top of us, so we couldn't get up because our legs were stuck. I was a stuttering mess.

"S-s-sor-ry..." I said, my face feeling like it was on fire.

"No worries, Darling," Loki said coolly. Wait... he didn't seem so drunk anymore...sus.

I felt my heart race faster and faster as I couldn't look away from Loki's face. His eyes were focused on mine, then darted to my lips for a hot second. Then he smashed his lips onto mine!

I laced my arms around his neck as he snaked his hands down to my waist, his tongue roamed my mouth as I lightly tugged on his smooth black hair. I wanted it to last for ever. Sadly, luck was not at my side.

After a couple of seconds, minutes, hours, I honestly do not either, nor or care, we broke apart.

Because Clint yelled, "Get a room!" after the chandelier gave way and crashed to the ground.

Blushing furiously, we managed to out of the stupid stool, and off the floor. 

"Would you like escape these idiotic Midgaurdians and continue somewhere else lady Y/N?" Loki smirked, turning to me.

"Of course" I grinned mischievously.

How could you break my heart on Valentine’s Day??? Waaaahhhhhh, it makes sense but it still hurts. You’re gonna give me a part three or else 🔫

Seriously though it was really good! I loved it. I calculated and rounded up how much Naoya paid Mei Mei in U.S. Dollars and this dude really paid her around $17,500 and that’s not including all the gifts he bought Y/N. If I was Naoya’s parents, his debit card is getting confiscated. That is INSANE. I can’t imagine if they somehow managed to force out what actually happened to learn he spent all that on a girl that didn’t even RECIPROCATE his feelings like oh my god. I can’t imagine the earful poor Ranta is gonna get especially since this was kinda his idea for Naoya to confess his feelings(Although I don’t know if Ranta thought he’d go about it like this).

I wonder though if Y/N would reconsider Naoya’s feelings if she read his letter. Oof but now I’m thinking about what she’d do if she learned Naoya was the reason why she didn’t receive any gifts. I don’t know how long he’d stay on her bad side after that.

AS FOR THE MONEY HAHAHAH poor Naoya, he definitely got an earful from his parents, or more like the people in charge of the finances, I doubt Naobito cared enough to scold him (shall I make Tomoko involved? IF SHE WAS AROUND THOUGH THINGS WOULD'VE TURNED SO DIFFERENT) Damn I need to write a small drabble explaining what happened there, but in the meantime, it kind of went like this:

Ranta: What happened Naoya?

Naoya: nothing. *doesn't talk to anyone for weeks*

But his subtle persistence, the small gestures he’d still give you even when openly denouncing he’ll never seek you again, is what eventually persuaded you otherwise.

Through his attentiveness when you were out on a mission with him, making sure that you were neither too cold nor too hot, either through offering you something to drink or his own sweater to wear.

Quick to save you from a curse that got too close, or a fellow student you were not in the mood to entertain.

Whenever you needed help with jujutsu—either a term you didn’t quite understand just yet, or plain practice. Naoya had much more experience than you, so it was only natural that you’d seek him; that wouldn’t change even with that awkward valentine’s interaction…

But above all, what made you see that Naoya might be the one you were waiting for all along, is the fact that he remembered all the things you liked, the ones that made you happy—from sweets, food, to even your favorite characters…

If his emotions weren’t genuine, he wouldn’t have done such a thing!

Perhaps your only regret is ever giving him the idea that you couldn’t come to appreciate him, or that he wasn’t deserving of love.

But that was long in the past, and after a few dates, and getting to know each other… you two fell in love.

Unfortunately, Naomi wouldn’t come to see it that way.

“What’s wrong, pumpkin? This isn’t the story you expected?” Naoya asks with a smile, enjoying the way she huffed in response—though that satisfaction wouldn’t last long.

“No, papa, you were creepy.” She pouted, and her mama could almost hear his heart shatter.

“Oh.” Naoya doesn’t even come to wonder how she knew of such word, undoubtedly from his cousins, but that would be a matter to tend to later after he mends his broken heart.

“Well, he’s done his due! Papa loves us very, very much and would never do anything to scare us!”

“Thanks, Y/N.” Naoya responds sarcastically. “That makes me feel much better.”

You giggle.

“Why don’t you leave us alone, pumpkin? Papa and I need to talk a bit.”

And Naomi obeys immediately after, not that it took much for her to do so, for her disappointment rapidly pushed her to seek something better, a bit more entertaining—like Mai and Maki’s daily occurrences, more ways to annoy her father and such.

Once alone, the two are able to freely look back on that fateful day…

“What I did back then was messed up, wasn’t it?” Naoya sighs.

“I wouldn’t say that necessarily.” You add.

“But nothing happened after that.” He says. “Things didn’t change until much later.”

“Well, I did get to see a new side of you, one I didn’t think you had.”

“What did you think of me…?”

“That you were… bold. Arrogant, a bit snobby too…” you say, Naoya’s face reddens out of shame.

“Don’t—Don’t say anything else.” He frowns. “I get the idea loud and clear…”

“But that you were sweet too.” You smile, taking his hand. “I’ve never been lucky enough to have someone hold such strong feelings for me… thought it to be something out of a fairy tale—Until I met you—someone that harbored so much love to give but didn’t know how to express it.”

“You make me sound much nobler than what I really am—I don’t know how you do it, Y/N…”

“It took me time to get there, love.” You laugh. “But it’s only because you’re so cute that I eventually thought otherwise.”

“Cute?” he huffs, ready to retort otherwise, until you lean in to kiss his cheek, gesture enough to have him willing. “Alright—but only you can call me that.”

“I better be the only one.” You warn. “Although I was hoping our dumpling would do so too when I told her our story…”

“…Well, I can’t blame her, it must’ve sounded crazy for her.” Naoya sighs. “…If someone dared do the same thing to my daughter you can be sure I’d send the kukuru to get rid of him! No jerk is going to impress her!”

“I don’t think that’ll happen; Naomi didn’t seem amused by us either way.” You reassure him. “And she’s too young to be worried about that too! All she cares about right now is when will her papa get her that kitten he promised her…”

“I’m working on it!” Naoya frets. “It’s just that kittens aren’t born until later in the year…”

“Well, let’s hope that you aren’t too late, something tells me that my sister might be already on the lookout…”

“NO, she’s not.” Naoya breathes. “I will never forgive her if she does!”

But you just shrug playfully, not really giving Naoya much of an opportunity to not worry about spoiling his daughter, fearing that he might lose the position of favorite human in the whole wide world against your sister! A rank Hinata has been coveting for as long as he could remember, competing with the rest of your family too…

A tough endeavor, though he’ll have something else to worry about now.

“By the way… I’m aware of what you did with with the gifts.” You say, he freezes.

“Ho—How?” he blinks.

“Shoko told me. Mei Mei wasn’t that… fond of keeping secrets that were too juicy to hide.” You reveal.

“That woman… she told me that—!” but he goes silent, understanding there was a much bigger issue at hand. “…Are you angry with me?”

“Yes, so angry, that I’ve decided to personally torment you for the rest of our lives!” You tease, at the mischief of your voice, a weight is lifted from Naoya’s shoulders. “I was angry, but… it didn’t last long, considering that some of those gifts were from people I didn’t really want to be involved with… so, you kind of did me a favor… though I did have to go through a whole day thinking I didn’t get anything…”

“…I’m sorry—I might’ve gotten ahead of myself trying to impress you…”

“Well, for all the chocolate I missed back then, you made up for me, tenfold!” you grin, wrapping him in your arms and placing kisses all over his cheeks until you could no more. “I love you, Naoya—you and all of your bold, extravagant, though a bit silly, ways. So don’t worry about that anymore, not when it was the reason that brought us together.”

Naoya blushes, letting himself be consumed by the incessant demonstrations of your affection and the acceptance of your words, for there was honesty behind them—even when a rocky start, it ultimately fated the two together.

What was once nothing but a dream, one that seemed so far away on the day you rejected him…

Now was his everyday reality—if not better, for it brought along a small bundle of joy that made both of your lives happier, although there were moments where she didn’t feel particularly the same, unamused by her parent’s antics from time to time…

But even then, he wouldn’t want it any other way.

They got their happy ending nonetheless :') Really, that day was only the beginning for them. It was enough for Y/N to finally set her eyes on him!! And the rest is history 🥺❤️

Thankfully I do plan to write a bit more of this HS AU, you know, the simple things like them slowly falling in love 🥺 ajfghajkghajghjkas this has to be one of my favorite au's (if not the favorite haha) can't wait to write them in time.

What The Undertale?! Roles and Crap

THE SHITTY COLLAB PROJECT IS HERE! (And this is a long post sorry guys)

For those who don't know, my friends and I took turns choosing the roles. The result was this and regret. You're gonna regret reading this.

I will be providing some explanations to the roles, as y'all would be even more concerned without context.

Frisk is replaced with Hatsune Miku! She is the eighth pop star to fall Underground. Idk what else to say bc I don't know that much about Vocaloid.

Chara is replaced with Iono (Pokemon S/V)! Before she died due to unknown causes, Iono was more than happy to be an entertainer for the king! After death, she blames the Underground residents for all the suffering she went through.

Flowey is replaced with Bill Cipher (Gravity Falls)! Personality-wise, he's pretty much the same. Power-wise, he's kinda weak without the six souls. Skill issue lmao.

Toriel is replaced with Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney)! I chose this role with the intention of Phoenix Wright being Asgore, but my friend fucked with my plan oof. ANYWAY, Edgeworth was a former advisor to the king (Why an advisor instead of an ex? You'll see why soon....). He is incredibly protective of anyone who he sees as frail. He also has a more fatherlike personality than what I've seen in the few Ace Attorney videos I've watched.

Napstablook is replaced with Catnap (Poppy Playtime)! His appearance is more based on his normal form than his monster form. He's also a lot shyer than his original counterpart. He hides under his paws when nervous.

Sans is replaced with Alastor (Hazbin Hotel)! I haven't seen Hazbin but I have a few friends who are obsessed, so I do know a few things. He's a lot less lazy than the character he replaces, but doesn't care if you kill most of the cast. There is only one person that you can kill that he gets upset over, but we'll get to that in the next role. Instead of running an illegal food stand, he runs a radio show where he talks about cooking. Only a few ingredients are illegal.

Papyrus is replaced with Lucifer (Hazbin Hotel)! Sorry, Radioapple shippers, but the ship is not canon in this AU. Instead, Lucifer and Alastor are frenemies. They also live in separate houses. Like I said earlier, I haven't seen Hazbin, so, unless a Hazbin fan corrects me, Lucifer makes all sorts of pastries using apples. He also makes custom duck figurines that he sells!

Monster Kid is replaced with Scott Howl (Monster Prom)! I don't know anything about Monster Prom. Sorry, guys.

The Annoying Dog is replaced with the Flerken (Marvel)! Not much changes here.

Undyne is replaced with Zooble (The Amazing Digital Circus)! They're a lot more chill than Undyne, but the reason that they're after Miku is because they want to set everyone in the Underground free. Nothing personal (unless it's the Genocide Route). At least they can swear here. After the initial chase scene, Zooble collapses with all their parts being scattered throughout the area, and Miku has to gather them and put them back together (the equivalent of pouring water on Undyne).

Mad Dummy is replaced with Clay (Pokemon B/W/B2/W2)! I haven't played B/W, but all I can say is that Mad Mew Mew is not in this AU. Sorry, anime catgirl fans.

Alphys is replaced with Gangle (The Amazing Digital Circus)! Thank god someone else in my friend group ships Abstragedy! During the initial encounter, she trips and breaks her comedy mask. As Miku helps her up, she asks if her limbs are slack (a reference to Snapcube).

Mettaton is replaced with Fizzarolli (Helluva Boss)! His Box Form is more akin to a Tamagotchi, but he's a lot happier working for the king than he ever was entertaining in Hell (he gets paid more and is treated better).

Muffet is replaced with Angel Dust (Hazbin Hotel)! He still sells desserts, but they're a lot more...... interesting looking. He's pretty much the same as he was in the pilot.

Gaster is replaced with Professor Layton! Not much is known about him.......

Asgore is replaced with Skrawl (ChalkZone)! Now do you know why Edgeworth used to be an advisor? Personality-wise, he's blunt about his motive to kill you to free everyone, but he also wants to make sure you go out with as little pain as possible (he wasn't always that way). He pretends that he doesn't care, but he completely falls apart in the Pacifist Route. No, he didn't kill Iono.

Asriel is replaced with Luke (Professor Layton)! After the death of Professor Layton, he would cling to three people: Miles Edgworth, Iono, and Skrawl. The former two would be openly excited to see him, but Skrawl had a cold exterior with a warm interior. Of course, Luke died soon after Iono, with similarly unknown causes.

I appreciate all of you so much! Thank you again for noticing the posts and just interacting with my blog in general. It's been a few years since I've made gifs and have been active here and the fact that y'all still use my gifs in your RP's or your fanfictions or your headcannons etc. that just absolutely blows my mind that you still interact with my blog somehow even though I hadn't posted in a couple to a few years!

I am so so so grateful to see how many stories my gifs have been chosen to be put into and I will actually take the time to go back and read them once I find them and book mark them! I am just mind-blown that y'all are still able to search gifs and mine still pop up!

It seems silly but I really have such bad imposter syndrome with anything and everything I do and it takes me a while to process everything and to be able to do posts like this.

Also yes I went through my activity list within the passed couple of weeks for this year (2024) to be able to make sure I got everyone tagged. In a different post I will be going through all the gif sets and making another appreciation post to those of you that have supported and interacted all of the DOAK gif sets and posts that I have made over the years. You guys are all so flipping awesome and I can't believe I still get interactions on gif sets I made YEARS AGO to this very day! It's so crazy how active this fandom still is but I am so proud that it's still active!

Hello, thank you for visiting, and welcome to Would This Pokémon Be A Good Pet?

What is this?

To put it simply, this project is a personal creative outlet to work on between other work. I wanted to collect it all in one place, and thought I might as well share it online. I hope other people enjoy it. Would This Pokémon Be A Good Pet? is a project that will go through every pokémon and determine, using a set of statistics and a simple formula, if they would make a good house pet if they existed in real life.

Why make this?

Well, as I previously mentioned, I wanted some sort of simple creative project to work on when I need to take a break from other creative work (or work work). I also really like Pokémon; specifically the creatures themselves! It's really that simple: I thought it would be fun to take a look at each one and imagine what it would be like to care for one in real life. How easy would they be to care for? How dangerous would they be? How friendly are they? It's all pretty silly.

How does it work?

Oof, well there's the even more nerdy stuff. Each pokémon is evaluated and given a score based on certain criteria. This includes their size, abilities, behavior (pokédex entries), ease of care, and moves (I have actually categorized every move in the Pokémon games into danger level categories, depending on how bad it would be to be hit by one. My cat in real life can scratch me, which is painful and all, but I'm glad she can't engulf me in an inferno of fire!). A score is tallied from these scores, and they are given a letter grade from A to F (as well as an explanation!) I will be working through pokémon at my own pace and in a random order, but specific species can be requested when the ask box is open!

NEW ADDITION: New tags have been created to help readers navigate my posts! Each pokémon's post will now be given a new tag matching their ranking (ex. an A rank post will be tagged "PR-A", a B rank post will be tagged "PR-B", etc.). If you want to see all of the pokémon that I've covered of a specific rank, just check out the tag for that post!

do you use notion for scripting? or something else?

hi hi lovely anon!! hehe i just saw your second ask saying that you re-read the post and saw that i did use notion, but i thought i'd give an answer anyway for those who are curious! 🥰 i am a productivity nerd with adhd so i flip flop between several word processors and organizational systems (much to my downfall lol) but i have a few favourites i'd recommend for scripting!

obsidian is great for specific aesthetic customization if you know markdown (which is fairly easy and fun to learn!) but there are also a lot of wonderful pre-made themes that you can download and explore. it comes with incredible plug-ins for productivity that are both official and user-created. there is also the guarantee that your files will never be deleted if the company went down or a sync failed, nor will they ever be viewed by anyone but yourself because they are stored locally on your computer.

notion is great for the incredible and clean aesthetic, the easy-to-learn and accessible interface, and for having incredible collapsible categories/subheadings for clean organization, which is fantastic for scripting!

craft is great for the interface being so, so aesthetically pleasing... oof. they also have a premium plan if you have a student email! i haven't used it in a long while but if you're looking for something different after trying notion or obsidian, give it a try!

apple notes is great for super simple note taking without having to worry about aesthetics or formatting, though they do have cute formatting options as well! you can also use whatever the equivalent is for android phones.

google docs is great for the same reasons as apple notes, but can also be wonderfully customizeable if you dive in!

i am thinking of making templates for all of these platforms at some point so everyone has something they can work with. thanks for the ask and sorry for rambling hehe!! 💖💖💖

1. share your favorite memory of this year.

as much as i shit on 2024, it surely was one of the best years of my life. I can't really think of one memory that would be my most favorite, but i really enjoyed my trip to budapest in june and also august, my internet best friend sleeping over, karaoke nights in november and december, getting drunk with my situationship, 11/11 manifestation with my friend and over-all many moments spent with friends during this semester :,)

2. what was the highlight of your year?

I think that an over-all highlight might have been me spending more time with my friends and building deeper bonds with the people around me, but once again, i dont think i can pick just one.

3. list the top five books you read this year.

AAAA i love book questions. okay so! first place definitely takes happy all the time by laurie colwin, which i didnt expect to like as much as i did, but its a solid 5* book that i think about often. second place is definitely tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow by gabrielle zevin that i read this time last year, it was such an enchanting and amazing read with an unique plot line and great world building. third place takes flowers for algernon by daniel keyes, my psych major heart enjoyed this one deeply. makes you think and reflect and i would recommend this book to anyone. I also very much enjoyed kitchen by banana yoshimoto, which was written in a very simple, yet beautiful way, and the last one im going to mention is never let me go by kazuo ishiguro, which i also didnt expect to like half as much as i did.

4. list the top five movies you watched this year.

I am not much of a movie watcher, if im being honest, i am convinced i literally watched 5 movies in total last year 💀💀 but i did really love fight club! I also finally watched the amazing spiderman movies which i loved, and beautiful boy which wasn't exactly what i expected, but i enjoyed it nonetheless and think about it often. as the fifth one im gonna mention john mulaney: baby j if that counts..? 😭

5. list the top five tv series you binged this year.

I havent watched much tv series either,, but twinkling watermelon was definitely my favorite!! I also enjoyed the eighth sense and the eight show, and i also channeled my inner uk culture lover and watched the inbetweeners finally LMAOO

6. what is the one new thing you discovered this year (could be a place/hobby/song etc)?

does a karaoke bar at uni count? 💀💀 i dont think i really discovered many new things last year, or i cant really recall anything..? but i definitely discovered more of my uni town and maybe more of my sexuality..? 😭 as for artists i discovered the kid laroi, role model and gracie abrams :p

7. top three albums that you played this year?

the secret of us by gracie abrams, eternal sunshine by ariana grande and kansas anymore by role model were definitely my most played this year 🙂‍↕️

I feel like i am the only one whose spotify wrapped was accurate this year HAHA. anyways mine was sadly she moves in her own way by the kooks. 🧍‍♀️

11. what is an achievement that you are proud of this year?

started putting myself first and taking more opportunities to go out/hang out with people. this used to be a big problem of mine especially when i was handling anxiety, but i found that getting out of the house helps managing it :))

12. what are your goals for the next year?

biggest goal is definitely graduating and getting into masters! then id love to travel to london with my friend in the summer and finally get that tattoo i've been wanting since 17 hihi. finding love would also be great but i dont think thats something i can impact haha

13. any three book releases you are excited for next year

I dont really follow any anticipated releases, to be honest! I just read what i find already released 😭

WEAK HERO CLASS 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

15. if you could change one thing about the past year what would it be?

the holiday season 💀💀 it was quite possibly the darkest part of my year/life and i did not enjoy it at all.

16. did you manage to stick to your new year's resolutions this year?

I just found a few that i had written down in my journal last year. I definitely stuck to taking care of myself more, put myself first more, hanging out more with my friends and continuing to write. I didnt however watch more movies, do more art and read 24 books last year 💔

17. do you have any new year's resolutions for the next year?

I do! as i already mentioned, graduating and getting into masters is a big one. then going to london, get a tattoo, write more, continue to socialize even more, be more careless and have more of a yolo lifestyle, find a more positive relationship with myself and build my confidence in a way that doesnt depend on external validation. :))

18. favorite meme of the year?

mama a girl behind you was a big one in my brain to be quite honest. 😭😭 also 9/10 perfect score! OH and the sabrina "have you ever tried this one?"

19. which month was the most fun this year?

june, august, october and november were big ❤️‍🔥

hmmm not gonna lie its very close to brat green in my eyes

do things scared !!! don't worry so much about everything, because things will turn out just fine. also dont talk to the erasmus people in the club it's a trap! (/j. I've enjoyed this little fun romance side quest of mine so far.)

I think i kinda fell for the very cutesy very demure trend for a bit?? Also the viral dance to disco by surf curse was the highlight of my days i watched every single one on my fyp haha

my signature pasta recipe i cook for me and my roommate every other week. I also feel like i finally learned how to park..? and uhhh the last skill may be how to give a bj idk sjsksdksksk

He guided you off the bridge, walking for a bit down the winding paths of the Nameless City-- or what would eventually become the 'Nameless City', anyways.

BOOKISH NPC: [ Keeper! Keeper! I finished reading that book you recommended… the 'Iliad'! Did people like that really exist on Earth? Were you in a story like the Iliad? ]

KEEPER: "I don't think I was part of any epics like the Iliad. Though if you're done with that one and enjoyed it, there's the Odyssey."

BOOKISH NPC: [ Odyssey… ah, like Odysseus! Did you know Odysseus, Keeper? ]

KEEPER: "No, he was a bit before my time. Still, it's a compelling read. Go grab the data from the archives, and let me know when you're done. I'd love to hear your thoughts."

With a nod, the 'citizen' ran off. You noticed there was a bit of a skip in their step. Genuine excitement at the idea of finding some new, exciting story to read for the first time. The SLAYER chuckled.

SLAYER: "…Your Noble Phantasm is really something, re-creating all of that knowledge…"

KEEPER: "As I am now, I can't recreate as much knowledge as I'd like or access as much of my 'Library' as I'd like. I basically have to individually manifest books, so obviously I started with my own favorites. Luckily the Moon Cell's data and the Freyr's Crystalized Wisdom helps speed some things along, but it's still annoyingly slow."

SLAYER: "Haven't you manifested about 10,000 books? In addition to everything else you've been working on?"

KEEPER: "Like I said, it's been annoyingly slow."

SLAYER: "Ah- finally I think I'm understanding why people fear geniuses like us! Still, why haven't I seen any books on my exploits? I would like to put in a formal request!"

KEEPER: "I'll get on it."

SLAYER: "Many thanks! The Solar Cell will learn much from reading about me, I think! It's already grown so fast, but my appearance will cause a 'boom', certainly!"

KEEPER: "Sure, sure. And it's not like I'm terribly biased. I haven't exactly put any of my war campaigns in the library either. If they start reading about and-- heavens forbid-- start idolizing my king's lifestyle… talk about a worst-case scenario."

After some more walking, you eventually reached a small shrine. It seemed busy, a number of Solar Cell Denizens wandering about and presumably worshiping the god here.

You heard the sound of footsteps approaching, before seeing a familiar face- for a number of reasons. The woman who resembled CASTER.

The PRIESTESS.

PRIESTESS: "Now this is interesting, I wasn't expecting to see you come here so early. Have you come to offer up something to the Heavenly Divinity?"

PRIESTESS: "Just kidding~♡ As shrewd as I can be, I'm not going to hassle offerings from a valued guest. So, Keeper? Slayer? You've been treating them well?"

KEEPER: "We've been doing our best."

SLAYER: "How lucky! Once more fortune is on our side. See, our guest has been a bit... unsettled, it seems. So I figured they could settle their mind here."

The PRIESTESS frowned.

PRIESTESS: "Well... that won't do at all. This is a place blessed by the Sun, a peaceful and joyous refuge from the darkness beyond. What's bothering you? If there's anything I can do to help, simply ask. No problem is too small."

New exam fear unlocked - aka me ranting about todays polish exam (longer personal diary post, nothing interesting)

So tw for I guess food and feeling unwell (throwing up)? Just a heads up :)

Ok so writing this down here because typing is easier than writing by pen in my journal haha. I had my polish exam today, and I surprisingly woke up not feeling like shit! Well that changed after I ate a yoghurt and I started feeling reaaaally unwell, like had this feeling of having to throw up, but that was not that big of a deal, I go through that a lot. But it´s still shitty... Like I get it, my body is stressed, but it´s really just unfortunate. Waiting for the bus in my "I´m not getting overstimulated today!" exam fit™ (that goes extremely hard) I sat down on the ground to keep my head from spinning. But there was a small kid on a scooter that was the height of me sitting down who just came up to look at me and that was so ironic omg. I wish I would be that kid in that moment, like pls just let me ride a scooter in peace and don´t drag me through this hell - like??

So I arrived to take the exam, and at this point I was running on half a coca cola because I was so nauseus I couln´t eat anything else. We go in the hall - I sit down at my assigned table and just wait. We get the papers and I´m sitting there just like "fuck these next three hours", but proceed to start. When I tell you that my vision went black - would you believe me?? This feeling you get when you stand up too fast and it gets all black and ypour head hurts?? YEAH 😭😭 So the first 5 - 10 minutes I spend hoping this goes away (I really felt like I was going to faint at one moment) BECAUSE I COULDNT READ SHIT. So in an attempt at cooling down or shit I drank all my water I had with me. it eventually got better but I even now still have a slight headache. I went okay-ish (I should have memorized more stuff :/). But the text was about food so it just worsened the situation xd. It wasn´t that bad, just a slight oof

I got home EXHAUSTED and with a severe headache (reminder that I would never survive a zombie apocalypse if an exam is enough to almost kill me <3) so I kid you not I had to rest for 4 HOURS !!! Girl, I am not even joking I was in tough condition :) And now I should be doing math but I really can´t take it anymore :)

I keep telling myself that on friday everything will be over. And thank god because this week has been testing me and it´s monday. Nah but I will get through it - it´s not like I will fail anyway. It´s just an 8 instead of a 10 and it´s the first time I actively decide to not go 10/10 because this shit is just too much. And it is a weird feeling - I will regret it later, but I won´t TRULY regret it yk?
