Also Allison because in the ‘rodeo’ scenario that’s living side by side with the ‘old wild west’ scenario in my head, she and Kevin half-jokingly fight over the rodeo queen title every year (but every year it could just as easily go to Dan 😌)

Also I decided the clown is the rodeo equivalent of a goalie (last line of defense) and Renee is the only one trusted with the t shirt cannon. You could not pay Andrew enough to get on a horse - even just the roping goes too fast and you can fall off too easy - or ESPECIALLY a bull but he will haul ass across the ring to make sure Neil or Aaron (or anyone else but like especially those two) don’t get trampled by a bucking horse or bull respectively

i don't normally make posts about things myself but i keep thinking about how the whole point of EW was that the strength you needed didn't come from a god, or a supreme being, or a primal or anything: it all comes from you

your love for this world and your friends and everything that you allow purpose and meaning- that is what gives you the strength to climb to your feet, even when you feel utterly alone at the end of the universe

In Shb we had Ardbert who gave us the strength to take that next step, but in EW we are alone (save for Zenos i guess but this ain't about him). That's why even though I agree that "it was the ancients" is becoming an extremely stale take, I still forgive MotR and the Twelve because it's hammering in EW's theme of being enough to handle what life throws at you without needing to rely on something much larger than yourself

EW's plot- and even the Omicron quests -point to the fact that dynamis alone does nothing. It has to be moved to action by feelings/emotions for it to work. As N-7000 says, "all [dynamis] requires is for us to ask "what if?""

Zodiark did not save the Ancients. Hydaelyn cannot save Her Children. The Twelve do not answer your cries. Primals are bound to the prayers of those that summon them.

The Warrior of Light is an imperfect being. More talented than most, but imperfect yet. EW does not make you a god. It shows that change can be wrought by anyone, at any time. You need not do it alone: there are others willing to come to your aid. But when you are alone, at the end of your rope, facing insurmountable odds: the strength you need can only come from within.

TWELVE AND CLARA IN SERIES 9

When something goes missing, you can always recreate it by the hole it left. I know her name was Clara. I know we travelled together. I know that there was an ice warrior on a submarine, and a mummy on the Orient Express. I know we sat together in the cloisters and she told me something very important, but I have no idea what she said, or what she looked like, or how she talked or laughed. There's nothing there. Just nothing. Are you looking for her? I'm trying. Well, she could be anyone, right? You don't know who you're looking for -- I mean, she could be me, for all you know. There's one thing I know about her, just one thing -- if I met her again, I'd absolutely know her.

Writing out my preferred way the battle at Rook's Rest should have gone because why not.

The beginning mostly stays the same. Criston signals for Aemond and Vhagar, but Sunfyre arrives first. Aemond sees him fly overhead and is pissed, but he doesn't wait to follow him into battle because he's not an idiot and as much as he wants the crown, he's aware of the intensity of the blow losing Aegon would be to their cause.

Still, Vhagar is slow and has to launch herself off the ground, so Aegon gets their first and has an initial fight with Meleys but Vhagar's quick arrival keeps Sunfyre's injuries from being quite so intense. The two of them attack Meleys side by side, but due to her speed and Rhaenys's expertise, she manages to keep evading them with fairly light damage.

Meleys takes off high into the clouds and Aemond and Aegon follow her. No one can see them from below. Aegon urges Sunfyre to engage directly with Meleys and the two dragons become locked together. Instead of intervening this time, Aemond simply watches as Sunfyre is injured and Aegon cries out for his help. Aemond only watches.

We can see the anger in his eyes. It would be so easy to allow Meleys to kill Aegon and Sunfyre. He could say he did his best, but that Aegon refused to battle carefully. He would be honored after he died and Aemond would become king. Aegon doesn't notice the inaction, too focused on saving Sunfyre and himself. In a desperate move, Aegon unclips one of his restraints to grab the dagger at his side and drives it into Meleys's eye as Rhaenys screams in shock and fury.

Meleys wails and lets go of Sunfyre, dropping out of view. Aegon is triumphant and turns to his brother with a smile. Aemond isn't smiling. We watch as he follows Meleys's descent and decides he's safe for now. He returns his attention to Aegon. It would be so easy to do the deed himself and blame Meleys. He contemplates it only for a split second, but Aegon's face goes from smiling to horror. We think he's understood what Aemond plans to do, but in fact, his eyes are fixed on a sight behind him. Meleys has darted up from behind, mouth open and poised to burn Aemond in his saddle.

Aegon doesn't hesitate. He urges Sunfyre forward and as Meleys breathes out a wall of fire, he throws himself and Sunfyre in front of it to protect Aemond from the blast. Before Aemond can react, Meleys sinks her claws into Sunfyre's chest and pulls him out of sight.

Aemond pursues, but it's too late. Meleys has bit into Sunfyre's wing and Aegon can barely stay in the saddle with his one remaining restraint. Meleys rips her head back breaking off part of Sunfyre's wing and the king and his dragon fall through the air, landing in the forest.

Similarly to the show, Aemond is able to defeat Rhaenys and Meleys on his own after Aegon's fall.

Later on, we learn the only reason Aegon was able to survive was the one remaining restraint held him to the saddle but allowed him to slide off to the side enough to evade some of the dragonfire. He's still burned and in pain. He sacrificed himself for his brother and Aemond can't betray him now. Not when he owes his brother a life debt, not when he's seen how deeply Aegon loves him. He becomes Prince Regent and reconciles himself to forever protecting his brother from this point forward.

I am convinced Rose has an emotional support Cufant. In the Manga he has one trotting behind him when Oleana isn’t there, in the opening cutscene of the games he has one with him as well. What’s cool about that is that the games actually show the Cufant coming from a normal pokeball rather than an ultraball, so it isn’t just his Copperajah as a little one but truly a separate Cufant he just kinda owns :]

I like to imagine that he got the Cufant after becoming chairman and it is the only Pokémon he carries it with him, which is also why he poses with a standard Pokeball (the Cufants ball) on all the old posters in Spikemuth. He has no reason to believe he would need to battle so why carry his entire team with him? After Bede destroyed the Mural in the games Oleana even points out that she wondered what Bede was planning when asking to borrow the chairman’s Copperajah, making it somewhat sound like she is the one that manages Roses team and handed out his beloved copper elephant.

He obviously has a special connection to this specific evolution line, and Cufants have the perfect size to be taken everywhere for emotional support. Especially in the manga where he either has Oleana, the Cufant or his Copperajah with him it makes me think that he just really needs that mental support from having someone he trusts nearby. But also, imagining a Cufant just running around in the Rose tower acting like a puppy is hilarious,,

I’m rambling on for too long BUT I like to think that on the first Giorose date business meeting Rose had the Cufant with him, and the closer they got the less Rose felt the need for additional emotional support. Maybe Giovanni is his emotional support now,,, hehe

starting off with jordan and mildred (aka the first designs i drew) :D

mildred’s an extra character we made for the purposes of having more roles— she’s a tennis player, a day-drinker, kinda sucks, and she dislikes nick vehemently (i get slapped by her at one point— and while we’re not Pleased that jordan had to be split into, the cast loves mildred and cherishes her greatly :) plus she was fun to design for

(also i’d like to caveat that most of the designs will have styles for longer hair, because non of our main “female” cast has short hair)

I neeeed a parallel to that scene in season 1 where colin says he was a fool to fall for marina’s trick (or whatever it was he said, haven’t watched season 1 in a hot while) and Penelope said he wasn’t and that he just thought he was in love and if one finds something like that they need to declare it assuredly, fervently, loudly. Preferably the parallel where he declares his feelings assured, fervently and loudly happens at their engagement ball
