Right let me say something: Harry Potter is by no means a good book series and JK Rowling is not a good person, but the world of the book, at least when I was a small kid dreaming of being the next Harry Potter, was so fantastical and different, that it's easy to get lost and miss the aforementioned racial stereotyping and the serious wrongness in the blood-purity war.

Being a Hufflepuff (that was mentioned in the previous post's tags) isn't based on the stuff JKR wrote or talked about or disrespected in the books. For example, I haven't touched a Harry Potter book to read the book for the book in years. I read through them to find hints at the previous generation of Hogwarts students (marauders era). Most fan fiction writers will outright say they do not agree with JKR's views, and those spaces are where we rewrite the series to correct what JKR messed up.

It's such a different world, of magic and flying broomsticks and as a kid, there being a school of Wizardry made it seem more relatable.

So don't hate on people saying they are a Hufflepuff, because it doesn't mean they support JKR or the concerning ideas in the books.
