So I started following this blog where the blogger posted aesthetic pictures and the like. It was all cool and great, until they rebloged a post that mocked people who research their mental illnesses without going to a therapist(like myself). It also said something like "u are mentally ill because u spend your time watching animes lol!". Which I found offensive. Do they know know hyperfixations exist?? Anyway I decided to check the notes. Full of radfems and a free blocklist for me! Yay. But to be safe, I decided to check her blog too (the blog I followed which rebloged the post). I think u can guess the rest, her blog was full of transphobia(honestly not surprised),radfems,anti kink posts and she had rebloged some "u evil porn addicts!!!!" posts. I didn't read all of that, only the 3 top posts and checked some of the other posts' tags. I really didn't want to block her by mistake because we were from the same country(it's hard to find other people here), But I had to. I didn't want this kind of things on my dash.

Why I wrote all that? I never saw a radfem before. I always saw posts that said antis and radfems are similar but I didn't investigate. My bad, I should have. So antis, congratulations!!!

Most of you are radfems without the transphobia! Please grow out of it. For your own shake.

I've seen the actual blocklist and you can say it's mostly adults but it's not. It's about 1/5 per page. Most are minors that can learn from their mistakes if given the chance.

I was angry because all I knew at first was woah. A random 25 year old was saying shit about random artists, and yeah I'm still angry. But harassing people isn't right. I'm also an adult, take this advice and get off tumblr and discord for awhile. Spreading hatred through this community is not going to help anyone, and doing this blocklist, with their UID's out in the open is not only going to bring harassment to you if the doc is published, but the users mentioned. I think some may deserve it (the adults because clearly they know what they're doing) but minors can learn. You need to tell them what they did wrong instead of hating them.

If you do listen to this instead of just blocking me, thank you. This is not just for you, but for others who have blogs to hate on others who may follow you. It's not okay.

For the last time, I'm not publishing the blocklist anymore and I'm not harassing anyone. The most I'm using it for is for my own reference and for the mods in my server. That's it. If it got leaked by someone who had it previously, that's not my problem. It's not even finished and is missing 80% of the information BECAUSE I STOPPED WORKING ON IT BECAUSE I REALIZED IT WAS A REALLY BAD IDEA! Everyone on there, to my knowledge, is 16+. If they lied about their age on their page or don't have it visible on their page and I assumed their age to be older, that's not my fault. Everyone on there is on there for harassment, being a pedo, being a zoophile, copying others repeatedly and not stopping when informed of what they were doing, or other similar things. The "by association" section is people who have been very vocally supporting said people or, even worse, have been seen in servers doing the exact same things. No one is on there for no reason. I have the screenshots to back everything up in a folder on my computer, but it's not my damned business to spread such things because, even if I say "hey don't harass these people", y'all motherfuckers have been feral recently and would start sending death threats and kys messages anyways. I've seen the screenshots from K9's server and the asks people who were called out in there received not long after. I'm very violently aware that saying that does literally nothing at this point. Only reason I've been so vigilant is because I'm aware that I'm one of the oldest people in this community, so I've grown very protective. I want the harassment and bullshit drama to end. That's what I thought the blocklist would achieve, but I know it won't due to the state of this community. Also, the UIDs were there for ease of banning from servers and blocking. If people didn't feel comfortable with said people on the list anymore after seeing what they had been doing, I wanted them to have an easy and seamless way of cutting them off. That is not harassment. That is giving an option for safety and comfort for those that need it. If you choose to be upset over this that's whatever, but I did have good intentions and still do in not making it public. Someone turning on me and deciding to leak it is not my fault.

PS. Since I've mentioned K9 again, I would like to note that me and my Emoji Finder staff had talked with K9 and their staff on multiple occasions trying to explain things and work things out and they still continued their behavior of harassment and spreading of misinformation in their server. The deal was that if they didn't straighten things out and do better in a month, they were going back on the list. They were better at first then screenshots came my way a week later that showed that it was more of the same. There was communication and an opportunity to grow and learn. First off,you're very brave! I also strongly disagree with those 44000 notes but I was too scared to post a dissenting opinion there. So thank you for writing yours.

You know,if people attack some seemingly harmless words that fiercely,then either it was indeed an awful bigoted take,or it was some truth others don't want to face. This is the latter. (the way you and OP anon are the only ppl against blocking,out of thousands,yet they still feel the need to keep defending their position)

For my part,I 70% agree with you.

I have bpd so I feel that rejection very personally,whenever people just TALK about blocking others. It hurts so much to hear how disposable other humans are to them. And I feel rejected too.

The disagreement with you is only on the "if they speak publicly anyone has the right to engage" line. Personally I believe that exactly then,it is ok to block. If someone engages with you and you do not want to respond,you are free to not respond. And if too many people attempt to "debate" or bother you then at some point you can't just ignore,you NEED to block,for your mental health. Sometimes there is just one or two messages,but you look at the words they use and how they talk to you and just know: no,this person is not someone I want to do any emotional labor for (honestly,it's usually men that fall into that group to me,because they rarely debate in good faith. it's just to annoy or to intimidate or to get attention)

But otherwise. When people talk about "free blocklists". When they block preventively. When they feel so entitled as to block someone because they like a character as opposed to another. That type of shit makes me so mad. It's not fucking normal to not be able to even tolerate different people existing in the same space as you.

They talk as if everyone they block is some sort of nazi and that they feel unsafe. But when you go on their profiles you see that they just blocked half of the people using a character tag because they "were annoying". That is self-harm,not self-care. Closing the blinds on an entire world just because you want everything on the internet catered to you. Literally how devoid of curiosity are these people?? And ignoring is easy. Blocking is not the same. It means "this person will never have something of value to be said". Sometimes,I agree. There is really nothing there for me. But as often as it happens on tumblr or twitter,it's just treating everyone else except from yourself as NPCs instead of complex multifaceted humans. At least observe others a bit before you block.

I fully fully disagree on restraining orders though. Those should be obtained much more easily,for women. And should never expire.

Anyway,tl;dr: I don't understand current blocking culture either. Sometimes it's right to do and necessary. But all the time? hell no.
