The KFC breakup was about friendship more than ideology.
The question posited by Geto : Yes it was about identity. Yes it was about choice. Yes it was jarring.
It was also an expression of hurt and pain. It was (immature -ahem, they were kids) retaliation - that’s why Geto saw it as an argument. “They fought” and “that was it”. He regretted it, and that’s why he also told his family “not to argue amongst themselves.” Geto packed in the message in there: You left me figuratively; and I’ll leave you. You decided for me; I’ll decide for you. But you can choose based on what you want; I’ve chosen my path anyway.
Let me elaborate. But first: Let’s get a few things out of the way.
Gojo did not have an issue with killing humans.
He went after Toji. For what purpose? Revenge? He said he wasn’t angry. Let’s look at his mindset after near death or to any threat (like after the parade with Miguel’s cursed tool that interfered with his CT). Auto limitless. He eliminated all potential weapons that could harm him. Gojo did not like it. He wanted to eliminate threats. With Toji? He possibly wanted to try and see if he was more powerful than what felled him. So he killed this person who was no longer an active threat. Then he sincerely did not know whether or not to kill the clapping peeps. Why? Why even think about it? Geto didn’t think about it.
Why indeed?
He didn’t have an issue. Even after internalising what Geto said, he didn’t actually believe it, because he simply didn’t feel it.
Also, why spare Geto? After Toji and the spear, all that was left to his awareness at that time, that could hurt him, was Geto. He couldn’t kill him. Yes , we know it was because he realised he loved him. Geto’s life was precious. This was the message Geto wanted him to realise after all - life was precious. Not only his. With this experience, Gojo finally could feel what it meant.
So let’s go to the KFC breakup and their exchange.
Dissect it:
It’s not about your parents. You told me it was pointless to kill non-sorcerers.
Geto interjects: But there is meaning; there is also purpose.
Gojo doesn’t want to know. Despite there possibly being meaning and purpose, he continued:
That’s impossible! There is no point in attempting the impossible.
He is asking Geto: Why are you attempting something impossible for you? Doing something you can’t do is pointless, at best! (Why did you go against what you told me not to do, even if you say there is meaning, purpose, and it is for justice, you shouldn’t attempt it).
In the original, the language is more condescending/belittling and implies that Geto’s chipping away at it would be inefficient 「できもしねぇことをセコセコやんのを意味ねぇっつーんだよ!!」
And Geto replied with: how arrogant.
Why?
Because: paraphrasing, “Are you determining for me what is impossible, when you can do it? Is it only because I’m not as strong as you, so you’re considering what’s important to me, as pointless?”
Also, of all the things he could’ve talked about, Gojo was focused on Strength. Viewing Geto in that black & white way. It was impossible for Geto, he implied. It reflected his lack of belief in his friend and respect of their shared bond.
Yes, Geto acted on his own. Gojo had a right to be angry. And so did Geto, who felt left behind by Gojo who prioritised training at the expense of other things like friendships - which were probably not seen as something he ever needed to treasure or be insecure about. Unlike Geto. Who knew loss all too well and felt it to his core. They were made very differently. I want to emphasise: Neither is better or worse.
Over this particular exchange, Geto was hurt and the conversation was pretty much over. Geto was always going to attempt this path despite not being the strongest. That wasn’t the point. He had already vehemently dedicated himself to this one path he cornered himself into.
The Crux of it was that: the friendship wasn’t mutual and Geto felt the disrespect and condescension in Gojo’s remark.
Geto had always focused on Gojo’s Humanity. Even if he saw that Gojo lacked meaning and purpose (parts that make us human; and btw Nanami was accurate in knowing Gojo was jujutsu crazy), he believed in Gojo’s capacity for humanity and love. He respected his friend and their shared bond. He recognised Gojo’s potential and wanted him to remain on the right path, as long as it was good for him.
So the breakup was about friendship.
It was about, believing in the other, not based on what one can or can’t do.
Paraphrasing for clarity: “who are you to tell me what I can/can’t do, if you yourself can do it?”
I never stopped believing in you. Did our friendship mean nothing to you?
If there was meaning and purpose, Gojo didn’t want to know about it at all. Yet he knew enough for him to say it was pointless for Geto to attempt it. He knew nothing of Geto’s suffering and how he valued his fellow sorcerers. He was implying, Geto’s ideals and sacrifice were worthless because he wasn’t strong.
Because he, the strongest Gojo Satoru, deemed so. The strong. Keeping. The weak. In check.
But Geto doesn’t subscribe to this. It hit a nerve. He goes by the philosophy of the weak keeping the strong in check; about not abusing one’s power. 「弱きを助け強きを挫く」 ⬅️ This is a known proverb Geto used to advise Gojo in HI when they were in the classroom (anime would be the basketball courts?). And Gojo responds by saying that attaching meaning was for the weak.
But. After what Geto did, he realised it was hypocritical. He was strong. But also comparatively weak. The non-sorcerers were “strong” with the power to hurt the minority / “weak” / the sorcerers. In this context: He knew more than anyone that his crimes were an abuse of power. Hence his self-imposed death sentence to Gojo’s hand. The draft shows him saying: it wouldn’t be bad to die by your hand. In jjk 0 he collapsed to the floor immediately - conceding completely. Even saying “you’re late Satoru”.
Knowing his hypocrisy, that’s why he chose to live as he did - denying himself any pleasures of humankind by only opting for things made by sorcerers where possible, but never imposing this on his family. He didn’t feel he deserved it. He would just be a tool for the sake of this ideal. But. Back to Gojo and Geto.
What Geto saw, that Gojo didn’t, was...
The value of the person vs absolute strength of the person. Geto cared about people and saw Gojo didn’t naturally do that. So he asked him to think - who was Gojo Satoru? The Gojo who just thought about strength, or the Gojo who could care about someone beyond it?
See, Geto has never done that; he always encouraged Gojo. If he could do it, it was worth Gojo trying. Like having humanity. Caring for Riko. Protecting the weak. Having principles about meaning. Being respectful to elders. That was also why Geto felt they “fought” because for the first time, he imposed onto Gojo: I can do it, but you shouldn’t. He was knowingly hypocritical again. And this was also why he did not think Gojo would have any trust left for him after they “fought”.
Killing non-sorcerers aside (we know Gojo didn’t have much of an issue with it at this point in time), Gojo did not believe in Geto. Did not seem to respect Geto.
That’s what made Geto retaliate.
He thought there was weight in their friendship even if the power gap had increased exponentially. Even if he was going to walk down another path. He didn’t know if Gojo was going to just hunt him down or talk - that’s why he was “testing his luck”. Gojo the sorcerer could have just come to exterminate him. Gojo the friend could stop to talk. I think the latter happened but it was too clumsy between them both. Geto was childish himself, as Shoko said. But he was noble enough to not take Gojo with him.
Nevertheless...
He turned away.
As if to say: Don’t even follow me. We are done talking. I’ve heard what you had to say; you don’t see me as someone equal to you. It wasn’t mutual. I’ve decided how to live my life. I know I’ve done wrong, so kill me if you want, I know there would be meaning to it.
We will part ways on this bad note. It’s clear you’ll only respect me if I’m “you” since you only respect yourself. He shoved him roughly into the righteous path instead of his usual gentle way. He never intended on having Gojo follow him anyway. He didn’t like the idea of others being tools - but just himself - he was okay being one. We know Geto didn’t hold too much value to himself.
Gojo was within his absolute right to be beyond upset. Left behind. This came out of nowhere. Geto going back on his own words. He belatedly probably realised what he really wanted to say was, why did you act all on your own, especially going against all that you preached to me? I’m strong, why couldn’t I be strong for you, with you?
And: Why was I the last to know...? I thought you needed me just as much as I needed you.
Geto… knew what he did was wrong. He was under no illusions but chose to walk that path and buried himself in the denial, so he could live pursuing something he could accept. For the sake of… something he felt needed his protection. He would not use Gojo Satoru as his weapon, even if Gojo Satoru chose so himself.
Sigh. My heart hurts.
You and Gojo Satoru both. Idiots. Why did you let yourself become tools?!?!?!
Sigh. One loved by clinging on. The other loved by letting go.
Angst. Aah, angst.
I feel like I’ve somewhat ruined my wip fic by writing posts like these, but nevermind, lol. It wasn’t a given that they’d be read anyway 😳
Take whatever Ive written with a pinch of salt. It’s just my take. I don’t think Geto was jealous of Gojo. I think they were both extremely hurt and both felt left behind. Both carried regrets and treasured the memory of the other, wanted to protect the other (and others like them), in their own ways. It was not enough to be anything (strong / idealistic) if they were alone. I think their reunion made it clear that they needed each other to be happy. I might be completely humbled by the release of the GIGA booklet on Gojo, but we shall see... if anything further on this KFC scene is revealed.
I probably have talked too much on this topic lol.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far 🫶

//fractures// geto suguru x f!reader // chapter 3
links 🔗: part one // part two
story summary: being a monkey is the norm except when you're captured by geto sama because he needs money from your parents. however, you may just have to suffer a little extra because of the forced thinking about the right and wrongs... you're putting him through. the affection you’re forcing him through…
chapter summary: after getting a fever from the injury, geto calls shoko to treat you — however, he ends up being conflicted and bruising your psyche again with his words & actions. you, (sorta?) fight back this time though.
warnings: signs of abu$e, heavy degradation, mean mean mean MEAN geto, reader also gets mean by the end of it. fluff if you squint-,-
a/n: i'm just writing off this chapter for my funsies :3 but please it is such a 'dead dove do not eat' story so i'd suggest people PLEASE read it after heeding through the warnings ;) also, not beta’d 🤺✨
"its 100 degrees." manami sighs, taking the thermometer out of your mouth. a soft pout on your lips, "then do something to get rid of it, where is the anti-fever medication?" suguru raised a brow. after having your hand carved, it was obvious you would get a high fever. it was too much toll on your body. ever so evident anyway. "and some painkillers." you added, frankly you were still sweating in pain, it hurt. everywhere hurts. "the doctor will be here soon." suguru huffs, looking at manami dismissively, he can't really show that his heart is breaking apart for a good for nothing monkey after all. manami leaves with an eye roll. she felt conflicted too, geto's feelings were enabling everyone to think a little about their actions.
soon, shoko was here to heal you. she glanced at your form, you were beaten and bruised. eyes mingling with suguru, "she is a non-sorcerer." she commented, and raised a brow. "geto, I am surprised she is alive here" she hums, no expression on her face whatsoever. suguru doesn't respond, and neither do you. it did not help at all that she was amazed at something like that. after a second or two, you hummed, "cus he wouldn't get the money from my parents."
suguru's eyes widen, it- is it? is it the money that's making him act this way? no, money is never above his moral compass. the whole reason you're so tattered is because money doesn't matter. his resolve is just being tested, that's all. "shoko, don't heal her." suguru's jaw twitches, he doesn't want to do this but seems like he has to. "I want her worthless self to remember who she is even after she leaves, I want that shit to scar." he crosses his arms, looking at you with predominant hatred.
your heart sinks, you hadn't even thought about how it would feel… to see the grotesque mark looking in your hand for the rest of your life. monster, geto suguru is a monster.
tears well up in your eyes, shaking your head no rapidly. "please don't- please s' hurting too much-" you begged, hands reflexively gripping at his gojo-gesa. "no- no- g-geto? geto- sama" you answered again, while suguru notices how your body shivers in pain and drenched in sweat. "did I say you could touch me? you piece of shit?" a snarl echoed through the room, geto's hand raised to hit you but stopping, you were cowering, all small and flinching. just like his girls. hot and cold, his behavior has been hot and cold. one moment he was hugging you to calm you down, now, he's ordering shoko to let you suffer in pain. "if you touch me again, you filthy monkey, I will make sure to break every bone in your body and leave you handicapped in the basement to rot and starve." his jaw clenched, while you couldn't do anything but listen. you don't want to die anyway. "I'm sorry." you mumbled, heartbroken. six more days with him. your broken voice shoves him back into his senses, he is trying so hard to ensure that it doesn't happen - that he doesn't feel like killing himself, so he is uttering shit, whatever helps to balm his own brimming rebellion against his own thoughts. your eyes are still kind, its just the way they are, you still can't look at him with anything except a silent plea for mercy.
"I think I should heal her, else she would die of an infection." she holds your wrist, a drastic change in your body immediately felt when she began to heal you. your internal injuries, popped lip, the carving, the cumulative blinding pain of it all fading away into nothing. geto only stands still, watching the way your creased brows turn softer, how your pained face turns neutral.
"thank you." you mumbled at shoko, and she smiles. "I don't know why he's got you kidnapped like some third grade movie's villain, but we have another certain someone who can save you perhaps." suguru raises a brow at shoko, the audacity was impressive. she leans back, watching the glimmer of hope in your face. her hand lands onto geto's shoulder, squeezing it firmly. "she's a human, didn't you say picking on the weak was not a good thing geto?" suguru rolls his eyes, gently pushing her away. "leave." he commands instantly, while shoko smiles at you, "see you, ne? y/n san!"
you were curious, who was this other person that she could send to help? then again, you're not sure if anyone could help you against this monster in front of you. suguru sighs, the way he speaks to you torments him more than it could ever torment you. which in-turn, makes him try harder to reach a state where he DOES NOT, feel this pathetic after abusing you. so? he mumbles again. "I wonder if you worked like a stripper mm?" you blinked, unsure where this was coming from. no, you weren't a stripper. you waited for him to continue whatever he meant to say. "I mean you certainly look the part, perky boobs, are they fake or real?" your face pales, so far geto has harmed you but nothing was remotely sexual, this turn makes you want to throw up. the expression of sheer panic on your face isn't gone unnoticed by him. he wants to stop, he wants to make sure he never says something like this ever again. then again, he just needs to 'kill' this kind, and caring part of him anyway. "maybe next time I can carve your insides up with the knife, leave you bleeding if you ever try to touch me again. since you want me so bad anyway?" you shake your head no, like a forced obedient pup in training. he was horrifying, absolutely fucking disgusting and every part of you wished he was dead.
to suguru… though, these were all just words. maybe now you will stop looking at him with hidden expectations that he would be kinder, nicer. more tolerable… you don't deserve that, monkeys don't deserve that!
"you will get your lunch and dinner here, don't move or I will chain you with your hands tied up and let my girls practise boxing on your pathetic rag of a body." christ, he was fucking insane. your mouth couldn't help it-
"you utter so much shit just because you're capable of killing me? maybe you're a frustrated eunuch, clearly looks from that disgusting, vomit inducing face. I hope you're killed like the dog that you are, impaled on something sharp since that's all you could ever think of, bastard." you widened your eyes after these words left your mouth. dead. you are to be dead.
suguru is stunned. "this is what happens when pets like you aren't trained well. as soon as the pain is gone, your mouth is on again hmm?" he's amused, you clearly can't do anything to him. still… your words… hurt. why do they fucking hurt? are you important to him? certainly not-
"mutts sleep on the floor." he yanks you outside the bed, throwing you on the marble floor and leaving.
six more days… and he will have you gone.
six more days, and you will never see the fucking bastard.

(anime-only friendly post)
I'll have to reread JJK0 to rly have a stance on this but
At this point I feel like Geto did nothing wrong, even if the worm curse was not drugging him like banana fish (explained here).
Geto was misunderstood. He didn't declare that he was planning to kill all non-sorcerers. Gojo said that. Geto called him ignorant for it and walked away for not being listened to. To have a world of sorcerers could take a gradual path by teaching, by finding those like Nanako and Mimiko (one of the guys in their family was in a similar position, I forget his name rn). Geto traveled far for a family of sorcerers and to remove cursed spirits.
I think his parents weren't killed for being non-sorcerers, but for being a part of that cycle of violence toward them. Geto might have given them a second chance, taking the twins to his parents house, when they got violent. We don't know exactly what went down with them.
Gojo continues to have negative rizz (this analysis contains manga spoilers. Tldr, Gojo misunderstands another lover, potentially) so it feels like a pattern to me.
We've often pointed out that Sukuna's love language would be violence, that using his stronger techniques is a sign of respect toward his opponent.
But I'm realizing now, Gojo is the same way - it shows that a partner can keep up with them. We know that Geto and Gojo used to get into fights at school (and Geto even used his curse manipulation technique without notifying the staff first, like he usually would because of the unregistered cursed energy). Geto said fuck the rules, I'm on your level (by your side).
BUT AT THE KFC, Geto didn't pull out a curse. He didn't fight (for) Gojo - not even when he pulled out the hollow purple hand. Geto just told him to choose his own path, there would be meaning in that. That he's no longer by his side. Geto said there would be a point to killing him, but I think it was to follow the order of his execution, to feed into the oppressive system on jujutsu sorcerers. Geto decided to be the one who diverges from the rules of jujutsu society, to decide that some non-sorcerers have so much power that they are as dangerous as curse users, even if they have no cursed techniques.
Geto had come to terms with the separation - they'd been sent on missions alone too often, and he felt left behind by Gojo's growth (along with how different he was since the fight with Toji - they didn't grow closer from that traumatic event, but became distant from there).
I would love to see someone who's fluent in Japanese break down their conversation - to me it reads like Geto is telling Gojo, I have a family now. I have to look after them. And if my parents were just like the group that killed Riko, or the village that beat up and locked kids in a cage for having abilities... Then it's irresponsible of me to let the cycle of hate continue there, just because they are my parents.
Anyway, Geto killed people. He targeted those in power, those with money, those who exploit the weak for their own greed, those who scapegoat innocent children and criminalize sorcerers for the curses' atracks (when the curses are only born from the non-sorcerers in the first place).
First, the village with Nanako and Mimiko.
Then his own parents (which I'm going to assume were the same way, I have my own headcanon that he left his family early for a monastery and then went to jujutsu high but I'm not rly sure what's up).
And the cult - he specifically calls to the stage and kills the man who hired Toji to kill Riko. And had Shiu gather to that meeting the members in positions of power and money.
There's also the deal with Geto calling non-sorcerers monkeys, which carries a gross and racist feeling (at least through a western lense, I've seen so many jokes about him being racist and planning a genocide, but I don't think that's really accurate). We can say that it was sleep learning from Toji. I think it stuck with him for a very simple reason.
Yuki Tsukumo gave Geto an existential crisis by telling him that curses only exist because of non-sorcerers (except for when a sorcerer dies and becomes the curse). Geto knows what curses taste like. Think about going to the zoo - you can smell the monkey area already, can't you? It's very distinct and memorable. It stays with you. The curses that Geto swallows are like that, but even worse. I posted here about the smell lingering in his sinuses and that's why he uses sanitizing spray after seeing Mrs. Sa(i)to and her daughter.
So just like monkeys live and poop and are associated with the stench, non-sorcerers get emotional and leak cursed energy. Others might see and hear curses, and occasionally they might smell (sorry Eiso I know you're insecure about having a musty back but I can't think of another example, maybe this doesn't happen with cursed spirits), but Geto is alone in knowing the taste and making this connection.
Edit to add: "monkey mind" is a term that refers to struggling with meditation, and I am now convinced that's what Geto is so upset about. A monkey is simply someone who does not control their cursed energy, and contributes to the formation of curses. Since Maki doesn't rly have CE, nor a visible heavenly pact like Toji, Geto is assuming that her cursed energy leaks out just like a non-sorcerer's would.
Anyway, Geto still clearly believes that the strong should protect the weak, whether they're sorcerers or not, that's what he spends his life doing.
And when he died saying that he still hates those monkeys - hate is different than genocide. He's been basically eating their vomit for the majority of his life. Not to mention the curses that killed his friends.
Ultimately, though, we don't get to see anyone Kenjaku uses as a vessel live their own life except for Geto. And I don't believe that the worm would have been necessary for most victims - but Geto and his best friend were 2 of the strongest sorcerers. Whoever Kenjaku was living as at the time had to be calculating and careful.
I don't know when Toji got the worm, but I think that Kenjaku needed to use it on Toji himself, and not only as a mediator to pass it onto Geto.
Idk much about Toji's life, but it seems like he was healing with his wife, and maybe he was still taking out curse users (though I want to use that term lightly bc ultimately it's the higher ups who decide who is a sorcerer vs a curse user), but I'm not sure he would have gone after Gojo or Geto or the star plasma vessel without the sudden grief or the worm.
Kenjaku likely was the founder of the time vessel association (which makes me laugh when Toji says thank you founder and shiu is like, ugh he is not the founder dumbass), which is from the Nara era. At the least we know that he was trying to destabilize Tengen. He needed someone to kill Riko. He needed Toji to lose his sense of reality, responsibility. (kenjaku was probably either in that group or sending them messages that they believed were like a sign from god)
So i feel more confident now in believing that Kenjaku did cause Megumi's mother's death. It seemed to happen by the time of Gojo and Geto's first year in jujutsu high.
In the end, love wasn't the greatest curse of all. It was the failure to understand Geto -
And Geto decided that he didn't need anyone to understand. He was giving up on Gojo, and on the rules.
It seems like Yuki Tsukumo and Geto kept in touch, judging by the end of the Shibuya incident. I wouldn't be surprised if one of their goals was to teach more people to become sorcerers or at least control their cursed energy, even if they can't see spirits.
Even if Geto were now curse user witn a death sentence, he still used his technique to absorb curses, a way to remove them from non-sorcerer victims without the stress or violence of exorcism (he didn't have to keep swallowing curses, instead of manipulating the ones he already had. But most people don't have resistance to curses, so he prioritized making things easier for the weak).
I imagine that some of these people got hyped about it, asking to learn, and were able to join a class that might focus on breathing techniques, visualization, etc (even if they could just control emotions better, that would help}. Larue's ability would make him a good teacher, and we really don't know what role he would have played otherwise.
#Posting to get this out of my drafts#This is just my current take my thoughts change but after 12 times through this I feel like idk. Maybe I'll post it#kfc breakup#Satosugu#geto suguru#suguru geto#Kenjaku#Toji Fushiguro#Gego#gojo satoru#hidden inventory arc#jjk season 2#Jjk larue

If Suguru had extended his hand that day, Satoru would've taken it. And he already went through his character development, so he wouldn't be happy there, doing what Suguru's doing, but that's his one and only right there and damnit, he's going to follow him to hell if he has to
He's there because of Suguru. He doesn't like it, but Suguru wants it to be that way so it'll stay that way. And Suguru can tell Satoru isn't well — but Satoru won't say shit because he's an idiot
And I doubt Satoru would stand being there for too long. He'd try to save as many people as he could, but he's no god (not yet) and his only weakness is Suguru
He wouldn't have been happy, but if Suguru had extended his hand on that day, Satoru would've taken it.
No but I'm convinced that Gojo would've gone with Geto if he had just offered
#au where gojo goes with geto but it's not ooc#he'd subtly try to get suguru back to the “light” side (of the force hahAhAA) (sorry)#and if suguru notices he wouldn't say anything#bc he doesn't want satoru to leave again#but eventually it'd all go to shit bc they can't be happy#(they wouldn't have been happy there anyway. gojo's not meant to be a cult leader)#no but imagine gojo trying to take in megumi and tsumiki#geto does NOT like non-Sorcerers#and he was willing to kill his own PARENTS. so why would he make an exception for a little girl?#yeah.#they'd fight a lot over it#gojo would either leave with them bc of it (he can't let a he cares about child die at his one and only's hand)#or send them away#gojo satoru#geto suguru#satosugu#jujutsu kaisen#jjk#stsg#angst#aaangssst#ufh#susdhfnruaganrk#satoru gojo#suguru geto#i think there was a fanfic that was like this???#if anyone finds it then give it to me pls 🙏 i'm too lazy to go look for it n i'm tired af rn#edit: wait nvm i found it#i literally recommended it to someone in one of my posts 😭#i'm stupid

NO because that tiny tiny shot of gojo's 6? year old self and the way he looked and the way he spoke means so much. "stop looking at me you weakling" was so serious. this kid is obviously not the 17 year old Satoru we know from hidden inventory. and the fact that there's nothing else (that we know of) that changed from this particular flashback to the time hidden inventory takes place in (EXCEPT him meeting Suguru) just serves to drive the point further that he only really acts like that because of Geto.
Children don't act so mature and if they do they don't magically evolve into carefree childish teens.
Cause we know for a fact from the day he was born gojo was just adored by his family. Like "On the day Gojo Satoru was born the balance of the world was altered" type stuff which I am sure they didn't shy away from saying to his face. And children don't have that concept of power. He likely didn't even understand what he was compared to in terms of strength. I mean i doubt those adults would want to talk about the details of cursed spirits with a kid.
And being told you're supposed to be the strongest can be so scary. I mean sure he already had it in him but did he feel it? I doubt it. People born a certain way can't comprehend life beyond their perception.
And then he joined jujutsu high which- we aren't even told why? Cause clans have the option to train their kids themselves homeschooling style. I'd think they'd wanna keep him as close as possible)
But anyway he joins and here comes this other guy who is just as strong as him who has a very very different outlook on life and who speaks about it so confidently and convincingly that gojo starts trusting him with his whole being.
Like "oh Suguru thinks this so it must be the answer" "Suguru thinks I'm right so that's all that matters" "Suguru thinks I'm wrong so I MUST prove to him that I'm right"
And even if they fought a lot Geto remained his moral compass and all of his opinions stood on the pillars of getos belief system even while directly opposing it.
In hidden inventory after Riko's death Satoru asks Geto if he should kill all of those people. And when the other disagrees he doesn't argue. Because Suguru is always right.
And when Geto defects and kills a bunch of non sorcerers his whole world crumbles because His firend has never been inconsistent or hypocritical before. Cause Geto is suPOSED to always be right. Like fuck you mean you talk about how sorcerers are born to protect regular people and then you go kill a bunch of those people you're supposedly meant to protect?
And sure he's angry. But his whole personality and morality is built around Geto. And he still thinks its the right way to think. So he keeps acting like that because in those 4 years they spent together he forgot how to care about his family's opinion. Because the only opinion that mattered was Geto's.
And if I was Gojo I'd be pretty fucking upset. Because sure its "do as I say not as I do" but Geto didn't make that choice only for himself. And how dare he even think he's wise enough to make that type of decision at 17? At any age. He didn't just choose to kill that whole village he chose every consequence of that action too. He chose to have an execution order placed on his head and he chose to kill his parents after that and he cHOSE to leave Gojo behind.
And that's fucked up like ok you made a mistake?? But don't keep making mistakes just so you don't have to admit it.
I hate them

geto headcanon(s) — 'me & my brain'
i've been thinking lots today about suguru's childhood and how it influences the choices he makes as he grows up. in particular, given that he was born into a family of non-sorcerers, i can't even imagine how fuckin Terrified he must have been as a kid with curses not only appearing around him, but turning their attention on him, flocking to him. the only thing worse than a monster is a monster that can see you. that doesn't go away when your parents come in and turn on the lights.
sleep has always been a biiiiig struggle for him. sleep paralysis, constant nightmares (thoughts inspired by this song), never really feeling safe even when his parents tried to comfort him. and lack of sleep only made his anxiety worse. he didn't develop (or at least notice) full-blown depression until after riko's death, but there was always a genetic likelihood of it because i feeeeeeel like one of his parents may have battled it while he was growing up, too.
eventually, he learned that sometimes he could actually fight back against the monsters that plagued him — not only that, but he could eat them. you KNOW he discovered this because of the way kids will try to eat anything that looks like a forbidden snack. one thing led to another. he turned a worm into an orb. he ate the orb. he could summon the worm, he felt the worm's evil presence in his fucked up little brain and didn't know WHAT to do about that.
he probably started meditation, thought exercises etc. once he was scouted by jujutsu tech. learned that the terrible emotions he felt were not his own, and that to separate them he had to center himself and take time to pick apart which feelings were his and which weren't; that the curses were real, but that he wasn't alone in seeing them; that he could take ownership of this terror in his life and come out on top. that he was strong, not weak. (haha unless? i'll get into that shit in another post lmfao)
as for developing his savior complex, that's another thing i feel started early? once he began to learn jujutsu sorcery, he also learned about the extremely formative concept of duty: the effort and drive it takes to do the right thing, even when your thoughts are dark and your instincts fight it. his parents, peers, and neighbors all saw him as a burden/curse/detriment, so learning that he could be a leader/savior/carer/helper was HUGE.
anyways, i dont think suguru hated his parents. but i think he had a really tough childhood, and from that he learned to be overly self-reliant in his teen and adult years. it's probably also why he struggles to communicate his deeper insecurities or be truly vulnerable with satoru — he never learned how.
even though it was an incredibly freeing thing to choose the course of action he chose (ew), the depression never went away. he battles it the best he can, but that shit's gonna be stuck with him for a long time.

I’ve got this jjk au where gojo ended up with mimiko and nanako but doesn’t defect & geto ends up with megumi (and tsumiki but I’ll get into that later) but still defects
gojo does full girl dad and raises the twins because he wants to give them the childhood that was taken away from them but they both end up becoming jujutsu sorcers anyway (but they end up in nobara & yuji’s year because *looks at smudged ink on hand* plot reasons)
but geto takes care of megs and t except that because of him tsumiki gets put under the coma curse way earlier (like a year into being under geto’s care) and this wasn’t on purpose on geto’s part but also he could have done a little more right to protect this kid so he’s sorta just stuck with megumi but because the two don’t have the same connection that the twins and geto did in canon, they don’t really care about each other and are more trying to make the best out of a bad situation. Megumi reminds geto too much of toji and megumi doesn’t actually have anyone anymore because tsumiki’s basically gone.
But Because of geto’s powers being so similar to megumi’s, megumi’s training progresses waay faster than in canon & is able to master a majority of his shikigami the jjk movie goes down the same way Except now, megumi’s pretty op but doesn’t have much allegiance to geto (now kenjaku) & when kenjaku pulls up and is like hey wanna help out with this end the world thingy megs is just kinda like “no I’m good” & when he meets itadori and itadori’s like no we don’t have to kill non-sorcerers?? Megumi becomes like a very uninspired ally
and he would have joined jujustu high but when he asked if they could wake tsumiki up & they couldn’t he kinda just say fuck it I’ll just leave then but anyways the rest of the au is just the main trying to befriend megumi
also he’s like a triple threat to gojo because bam he reminds you of the guy that killed you and also his son that you failed because toji asked you to do something about it but the other person you failed royally fucked this kid up so he’s a constant reminder of literally all of gojo’s failures nicely wrapped into one fucked up kid who’s never really known what it means to be loved by a family or have any normal friends
At the end of the day though gojo can’t change the past and had to accept that the best he can do now is support him but also teach him a bit of empathy because that wasn’t really geto “i killed my parents” suguru’s priority with megumi
also megumi wears traditional japanese garb like geto but covers his lower face because geto didn’t like seeing him (he didn’t tell megumi to do this, meg just did it himself to avoid as much conflict as possible) and he has long hair with no bangs that he usually keeps in a braid because geto enjoyed taking care of meg’s hair and given that that was kinda meg’s only soft connection w/ geto he unintentionally leans into it
I think the difficult (read: fun) part of this au is that geto isn’t like actively a worse person than he is in canon and any abuse he inflicts on megumi isn’t malicious or on purpose, he’s just a super emotionally unavailable highly unstable racist cult leader, but also his actions still have consequences so megumi’s got this fun little eldest daughter syndrome type thing going on you know?
#jjk au#jjk#megumi fushiguro#geto suguru#gojo satoru#yuji itadori#this is all over the place but I wanted to share anyways#long post#the twins aren’t mentioned a ton here but they are super important it’s just that megumi being a funky little antihero is main plot

I have some questions about geto. 1. Isn't it strange that he wants to kill his parents like I think he didn't kill his whole family but he specifically killed his parents I think geto's parents weren't that nice I think geto had a difficult childhood. 2. There are 2 scenes where I find Geto's reaction strange. When Amanai hugs his maid and says he loves her, he reacts like he's never seen that before. and the second scene when yuta says he likes rika and kisses her geto makes a surprised reaction and i find that strange. Do you think geto wasn't born into a loving family that's why he had these reactions in these scenes? 3. do you think we will have a story about geto's past one day?
Before I start answering, I just wanna say that I think fandom has a tendency to try to smooth out Geto's crimes. He's a huge fan favorite and it's very hard, even for me who is a Geto stan to really digest that he did the things he did and believes the things he does so I have an inclination to try to justify him because of how empathetic he is. Gege doesn't want to us to think he's absolutely evil. With that in mind;
I think Geto didn't kill the rest of his family members not because they were nicer to him. I don't think he killed his own parents because they were particularly horrible to him either. It was probably more convenient and safer to kill his parents instead of hunting for his extended family which would have given openings for Gojo or someone else to catch him. If the family happens to land at his feet, he'll kill them, searching for them suggests grudges and I doubt he cared about the extended family's life or death that much. Geto is the kind of person who needs an ideal to live up to and that evolved into him prioritizing ideals over people. To show to himself and the world he means business, he kill them to complete the process of putting his ideals above people(leaving Gojo and not asking for him to join him is also a part of this). He wanted to save people before, yes, but he says it's because the ideal for a society is the strong protecting the weak so everyone can be kept in check and be safe. He's starry-eyed about being the strongest and was already separating people in terms of "weak" and "strong." The ideal he was living up to, he realizes, was broken and was breaking him and everything he cared about. The problem is systematic. So, change the system. But in order to do that sacrifices and compromises have to be made. His compromise was non-sorcerer lives, which likely wasn't a difficult choice since he already had biases against them anyways because of Toji but I think killing his parents was how he truly sealed the deal. He keeps seeing the end goal rather than the path taken to get there. The way he reacts to the idea of a found family and how he immediately assigns Kuroi and Riko as family does make me think yeah he may not have had a good relationship with his parents but I don't think it was nearly as bad as what people might imagine it to have been. Not something for them to be killed over most likely(perhaps them not understanding Geto seeing curses or trying to relate to him caused divides, or he was also experiencing what Gojo was in terms of the power difference and saw his parents less as people and more as plants or insects). He stopped giving a shit, his parents were justifiable collateral in the ideal world he's building where the people he chooses to care about will be safe. And to that ends, he'll do anything. (I do think there's implications of non-sorcerer making curses that directly hurt Geto, and Geto's parents being non-sorcerers who likely produced or attracted the first curses he saw which may have led to resentment building from his end. His powers are just, inherently awful and strips him down and hurts him. The only people capable of not hurting him are sorcerers).
With Kuroi and Riko, I think that was him being shocked that they were so close though Kuroi was Riko's maid. It's laid out like a professional relationship and seeing these two so close was a shock because it was clearly more familial and because SatoSugu assumed Riko's got nothing to lose and is chill with the merger but there is someone who will hurt if she's gone. Wrt Yuuta and Rika skjdfbh. Can I be fr? I think Geto was just bitter. Yuuta says he'll fight for love and Geto says he'll fight for justice. Seeing Yuuta have love likely reminded Geto that he forsook his love(which was a core part of him during Hidden Inventory) for an empty justice which gave him no true happiness or contentment. Probably realized his true contentment came from the safety of his found family. Yuuta was exhibiting how WRONG Geto is and that majorly bruised his ego. Like Geto probably admits defeat and is being a sore loser when he's dragging himself across the alleway talking about how he'll get Rika but a bunch of his final words are about his found family.
I....don't know tbh. I'd like that. If we do get a light novel chapter or something I think it'd focus on how Geto came to learn his powers and his first year in Jujutsu Tech. I don't think we'll be getting much on his parents and extended family.

JJK Playlists: Geto | Toji | Gojo
It's Me, I'm the Problem (Geto Suguru Playlist)
Playlist for Geto. Gotta admit, he gets the gears in my brain running. Main themes are about Geto's descent, follows life as a genocidal cult leader, to the end of his life. Manga SPOILERS ahead.
-> [Spotify Link]
1. Paradiso - Pia-no-jac An instrumental chosen by Akutami Gege. Unfortunately, not available on Spotify.
2. Enemy (feat. JID) - Imagine Dragons
Tell you, you're the greatest But once you turn, they hate us (ha)
3. The Wall - PatrickReza When Geto starts questioning his life and philosophy.
Banging my head against the wall Nothing makes sense, no sense at all Nothing can numb me from what I've seen Pull me down, demons, yeah, try me
4. Cradles - Sub Urban Lots of imagery about eating and disassociation.
I love everything Fire's spreading all around my room My world's so bright It's hard to breathe, but that's alright Hush! Shh Tape my eyes open to force reality (oh, no, no) Why can't you just let me eat my weight in glee? I live inside my own world of make-believe Kids screaming in their cradles, profanities Somedays, I feel skinnier than all the other days Sometimes, I can't tell if my body belongs to me
5. Savages - MARINA Covers how the lowly non-sorcerers are monkey--I mean, savages.
One man can build a bomb, another run a race To save somebody's life and have it blow up in his face I'm not the only one who finds it hard to understand I'm not afraid of God, I am afraid of man
///
Underneath it all, we're just savages Hidden behind shirts, ties and marriages How could we expect anything at all? We're just animals still learning how to crawl
6. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen If there's any JJK character who suits Bohemian Rhapsody, it's Geto. The line about being a poor boy made me think of how he's from a non-sorcerer family.
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy Because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, little low Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me Mama, just killed a man Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he's dead Mama, life had just begun But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, ooh, didn't mean to make you cry If I'm not back again this time tomorrow Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters
7. Wait For It - Hamilton: An American Musical The lines "Death doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints" popped into my head after watching s2e4. But when I went back to listen to it to add to this playlist I was blown away by how Burr's (Geto's) thoughts about Hamilton (Gojo) were so suitable. Also, it wasn't always intentional but there's so much religious imagery (and a few mentions of parents...) in this playlist that I'm loving.
Death doesn't discriminate Between the sinners and the saints, it takes and it takes and it takes and we keep living anyway. We rise and we fall and we break and we make our mistakes. And if there's a reason I'm still alive when everyone who loves me has died I'm willing to wait for it. I'm willing to wait for it.
///
I am the one thing in life I can control I am inimitable I am an original I'm not falling behind or running late I'm not standing still, I am lying in wait Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb He has something to prove He has nothing to lose Hamilton's pace is relentless he wastes no time What is it like in his shoes? Hamilton doesn't hesitate. He exhibits no restraint. He takes and he takes and he takes and he keeps winning anyway. He changes the game. He plays and he raises the stakes. And if there's a reason he seems to thrive when so few survive, then God dammit I'm willing to wait for it. I'm willing to wait for it.
8. Time of my Life - UPSAHL As Nanami would later say, being a jujutsushi is shit. No wonder Nanami's response was he doesn't blame Geto. Geto suffered from compassion fatigue; he was all burnt up.
I cleaned my room I paid my dues I did all of the things that they all told me to I filled my head With common sense I did all of the things that everybody said So how come all the worst days Are in the time of my life
9. Burning Pile - Mother Mother The turning point. Geto changes his aim.
It goes, all my troubles on a burning pile All lit up and I start to smile If I catch fire then I change my aim Throw my troubles at the pearly gates
10. Bang - AJR Geto certainly left legitimate jujutsu society behind with a bang.
So put your best face on everybody Pretend you know this song Everybody come hang (come hang) Let's go out with a bang Bang! Bang! Bang! I'm way too young to lie here forever I'm way too old to try so whatever come hang (come hang) Let's go out with a bang Bang! Bang! Bang!
11. The Other Side of Paradise - Glass Animals Reflecting on how Gojo (his strength) just went to a place Geto could no longer reach. So, Geto leaves too.
Bye-bye, baby blue I wish you could see the wicked truth Caught up in a rush, it's killing you Screaming at the sun you blow into Curled up in a grip when we were us Fingers in a fist like you might run I settle for a ghost I never knew Super paradise I held on to But I settle for a ghost
///
My thunder shook him down My thunder came and shook him down
12. Come Back Home - Two Door Cinema Club I usually prefer sandwiching my playlists with Akutami's music choices, but in this case it felt like it made more sense narratively to place this here. Lol. Sounds like a heartfelt plea from Gojo telling Geto to come back home honestly.
So now you're on your own Won't you come back home? To see you're not that kind And find the strength To find the strength, to find another way
13. East Jesus Nowhere - Green Day Yeah! Classic Green Day, this song popped into my head while thinking about Geto. Geto embraces his religious persona.
A fire burns today Of blasphemy and genocide The sirens of decay Will infiltrate the faith fanatics Oh, bless me Lord for I have sinned It's been a lifetime since I last confessed I threw my crutches in the river of a shadow of doubt And I'll be dressed up in my Sunday best Say a prayer for the family Drop a coin for humanity Ain't this uniform so flattering? I never asked you a goddamn thing
14. cult leader - KiNG MALA
I might be the villain in somebody else's story, but that's fine My methods are controversial, but at least it keeps 'em all in line In line I don't need your roses, I like men on their knees Praying up to their god, seein' visions of me I'm a cult leader, mind reader, heart eater Fear feeder, say I'm your favorite preacher If I wasn't a narcissist, I wouldn't like me either
15. Mental Funeral - EHLE From those devotees.
You're a criminal cute and creepy Dangerous for me When you're all alone, love me, dearly Psychopath
16. Godly Behaviour - ELIO "Monkeys have their roles. Money collecting monkeys and curse collecting monkeys."
Nothing comes for free, there's a fee for my time I'm so heavenly, hard to reach, gotta climb, 'cause I got godly behaviour And I'm not doing any favours I'll be in your dreams tonight, but I'm not an angel 'Cause it's confirmed, I got godly behaviour
17. Do It All The Time - IDKHOW He seemed pretty nonchalant about the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
We're taking over the world A little victim-less crime And when I'm taking your innocence I'll be corrupting your mind
///
Now we're so young But we're probably gonna die And it's so fun We're so good at selling lies We look so good And we never even try I don't wanna do it, but I do it 'Cause I do it all the time
18. Freak (feat. REI AMI) by Sub Urban Geto's family of curse users.
Welcome to our freak show, come meet my monsters Oh, such a fine collection of stranger things
19. Family - Mother Mother More found family music. Affectionate.
They is my family, they is my family They might be crazy, but they is my family You can't get to them unless you get through me You fuck with them, you fuck with me
20. cutlery collector - Sion POV: Geto when Kenjaku takes over his body.
Cutting me open and switching my insides Make me an avatar girl, just let me die And they all say that I have changed But oh, nobody knew why 'Cause you're a cutlery collector You cut open my mind
21. House of Memories - Panic! At the Disco Lots of melancholic death songs.
Baby, we built this house On memories Take my picture now Shake it 'til you see it And when your fantasies Become your legacy Promise me a place In your house of memories
22. Goodbye - Bo Burnham
So long, goodbye I'll see you when I see you You can pick the street I'll meet you on the other side
///
Am I going crazy? Would I even know? Am I right back where I started fourteen years ago? Wanna guess the ending, if it ever does I swear to God that all I've ever wanted was A little bit of everything all of the time A bit of everything all of the time Apathy's a tragedy and boredom is a crime I'm finished playing and I'm staying inside
23. Akari - Soushi Sakiyama The third ED best describes Geto I think.
Before my goodwill crumbles away I should have told you everything In a life descending and dissolving into the night Fuzzy emotions, a flickering light If accepting it as inevitable Means it's all over, even though I know It somehow doesn't feel worth it, there's No meaning to it

Hello 👋 I just read the oneshot where scarlet witch! baby fushiguro! reader gets kidnapped by the higher ups after she saved and helped everyone from the shibuya incident and I wanted to ask for a platonic! bungo stray dogs x scarlet witch! baby fushiguro! reader where at the time that the higher ups and zenin weren’t paying attention the reader thinks they want to be somewhere far away and with someone they feel safe with and the first person that comes to mind is Dazai and subconsciously her magic takes her to his world - with Chuuya - and as soon as she sees him she runs up crying and hugging him. Just imagine how the armed detective agency plus Chuuya would feel when they find out that the higher ups were considering execution just for saving and helping everyone.
scarlet witch! baby fushiguro! reader goes to bsd for comfort
jujutsu kaisen x reader x bungou stray dogs
masterlist of the series
╰➤ CW(s): spoilers for jujutsu kaisen (shibuya arc) and bungou stray dogs, subtle reference to multiverse of madness (dr strange to america), light theme of angst with major themes of fluff and comfort, soukoku being parents
╰➤ PAIRING(s): platonic! bungou stray dogs x reader (mostly dazai osamu and nakahara chuuya, and armed detective agency), platonic! jujutsu kaisen x reader (gojo satoru)
hello!! tysm for requesting and for being patient. this is just like reader getting kidnapped except reader goes to dazai and chuuya instead of sukuna via astral projection, and reader’s execution is being strongly considered instead of her just being given away to the zenin clan. ♡
despite knowing you are in the custody and protection of gojo satoru, the higher-ups have decided to take you away from your adoptive father. when you first demonstrated your chaos magic at tokyo jujutsu technical school, they perceived you as a threat.
your immense power was nothing compared to their cursed energy, and that was the problem: it wasn't cursed energy. gojo satoru had been successful in keeping you safe until two things happened.
you had not only used your own powers to free gojo from the prison realm, but you had also brought back two jujutsu criminals, fushiguro toji and geto suguru. you posed a far greater threat than itadori yuuji, who carries the king of curses within him. you were also too young and inexperienced to do such things, despite the fact that you were capable of doing so.
it was already too late. despite being the one who saved everyone from the shibuya incident, your involvement with jujutsu sorcerers and criminals, as well as your true identity and the gift you possessed, had already spread among the big three clans and the higher ups.
you were capable of wreaking havoc and turning reality to whatever you want, as the elders and the rest of the big clans say.
sure, it was probably pathetic that you were allowing yourself to be kept by the zenin clan and the higher-ups right now, but you refused to hurt anyone. no matter what the prophecies said, no matter what the old lady and the darkhold said about you and your destiny, you would only use your chaos magic for good, just as gojo taught you and just as you promised.
so, the elders' words had gotten to you and successfully manipulated you into believing you were a threat to humanity—both to jujutsu sorcerers and non-jujutsu sorcerers alike—and that it would be better for you to be executed instead. you couldn't help but be afraid of the higher-ups and zenins who took you away from gojo and your family figures.
you couldn't stop crying as you curled into a ball in the room they put you in, or more like, literally threw you in. you were so tired of screaming and wailing to be let out of the scary-looking, dim and windowless room filled with talismans they hoped would keep your chaos magic at bay (even though it was incredibly useless because your chaos magic isn't even cursed energy anyway) that all you could do was silently cry your heart out in the hopes that gojo or anyone you knew and loved would come in to free you and take you away.
your lips quivered, and tears streamed down your cheeks. you leaned against the door, hearing the same voices that had labeled you a threat, and you couldn't help but feel a horrible shiver run down your spine.
“you've seen what that monstrous child is capable of!”
“fushiguro [name] must be executed immediately. it's only a matter of time before she turns against us.”
“she had already brought her biological father and geto suguru back to life, and we know that gojo satoru taking custody of her isn't helping. she cannot control her abilities!”
execution? they were going to have you killed!
you crawled away from the door, feeling your chest painfully heave up and down, oxygen being drained from your lungs.
you were hyperventilating. your pupils dilated as your heart raced and thumped loudly against your chest with fear. as knocks resounded from the locked door, every inch of your dread and despair was visible on your face. in a panic, your gaze darted around the room.
with no other option, you subconsciously tapped into your abilities and found yourself activating your universe traveling powers as a means of escape, bringing your desire to be somewhere far away from them and with someone you feel safe to fruition. the elders and zenins were stunned to find you gone without a trace as they darted inside as the room's doors swung open.
“[name] has escaped!” one of the elders scowled, “quick! alert everyone! the child couldn’t have gone that far.”
“she probably went to see gojo satoru and the others! have people come for them in case she's with them!” exclaimed another.
while the higher-ups and the rest of the zenin went to look for you back at home, you happened upon the streets of the ever-familiar port city, which had both modern and nostalgic buildings from another universe.
your helpless tiny figure ran through the streets, exhaustion from using your abilities catching up with you until you spotted a familiar face, whom your chaos magic and thoughts had led you to.
you yelped and screamed for his attention with all your might, "d-dazai-nii!”
the messy short-haired brunet turned around, along with his ever-present hot-headed ginger companion with whom he was bickering, to see you. both dazai and chuuya were taken aback when they saw you running towards them with watery yet puffy red eyes.
“[name]-chan!” dazai exclaimed, watching you wrap your tiny arms around his legs the moment you arrived before you broke down in a full-blown sob.
“h-hey! what’s wrong? chibi?!” chuuya stared down at you, blinking profusely as a worried expression crossed his face, “who did it?!”
you didn't respond to chuuya, instead continuing to whimper gibberish sobs that he and dazai couldn't understand. dazai then promptly picked you up and drew you into his embrace. your hands were clammy as you gripped him with your nails so tightly that he could feel you claw at him almost like a cat out of desperation.
together with chuuya, dazai felt your body tremble and heard your erratic breathing. Both of them exchanged glances. they had never seen you look so shaken before, and they were worried for you.
“hey, now. hey.” as chuuya rubbed your back for comfort, dazai began to cradle you and brush loose strands of your hair away from your face, “easy, you’re okay. you're okay.”
“the crowd might be adding to her stress,” chuuya speculated, unable to hold back his sympathy as he stared at your tear-stricken face as you continued to cry before looking around to find people staring at him, dazai, and you with strange looks, “i think you should bring [name] to the agency now.”
dazai nodded in agreement, but as he started walking back with you in his arms, you reached out your hand to the ginger-haired mafioso.
“chuuya-nii..” you sputtered out, “d-don’t..”
“e-eh?” chuuya stared at you in confusion, “what is it, chibi? what do you want?”
"what's the matter, little belladonna?" dazai inquired, trying to take your hand in his. “we’re going to the armed detective agency.”
“don't leave..” you sniffled as you stared at the ginger haired mafioso with a teary-eyed gaze, slumping over dazai's shoulder and trying to reach him, “chuuya-nii..”
“i think.. [name]-chan wants you to come with us at the armed detective agency..” dazai's sweat dropped.
“what?! why?” chuuya's eyes widened as stepped back in surprise, “i can't go!”
despite chuuya's reputation as an executive of the underground organization port mafia, he couldn't help but feel remorse and eventually give in when he saw you staring at him with those teary eyes. you looked both sad and scared, even with dazai cradling you to calm you down, making it extremely difficult for him to resist you at all.
so, with a deep breath, the ginger-haired port mafia executive entered the door leading to the armed detective agency's office wherein he was welcomed by atsushi screaming in surprise; ranpo having his snack fall from his mouth; kunikida breaking a pencil; junichiro and kyouka dropping a stack of reports on the floor; naomi and kirako dropping the trays of snacks and drinks; yosano freezing on the spot; and lastly, fukuzawa losing his deadpan facade as soon as he stepped inside; him carrying a tear-stricken you in his embrace instead as he and dazai entered.
“what's going what's on?!” yelped atsushi, staring fearfully at the mafioso as kunikida, ranpo, yosano, naomi, and junichiro stood their ground, kirako and naomi stepping back behind fukuzawa, “why is a port mafia executive here?!”
“[name]-chan's crying!” kirako pointed at you.
“alright, everyone, calm down,” dazai said casually, waving his hands in the air, “i know what this looks like.”
“dazai, what is the meaning of this?” fukuzawa hardened his voice before turning to face chuuya, who held you close to his chest with a profound serious look.
“don't tell us you're going to negociate with us while holding [name] hostage!” naomi said angrily, glaring at chuuya.
“can you guys stop being annoying for a goddamn second?!” chuuya couldn't hold his annoyance in any longer, and he finally snapped, “i'm not holding the kid hostage, and let me just clarify that i didn't make her cry either!”
“then, why are you here?” kunikida pressed on, raising a brow.
you sniffled quietly, answering on chuuya's behalf, causing all eyes to soften as they fell on you,, “i didn't want chuuya-nii to leave..”
the armed detective agency (with the exception of dazai) were all baffled, their expressions now amusing yet incomprehensible.
“..chuuya-nii?”
dazai confirmed as he tried to hold back his laughter, “yes, you heard that right. nakahara chuuya-kun over here is acquainted with our little belladonna over here.”
“damnit, shut up!” chuuya scoffed, his gaze drawn away from them, mostly to hide the blush of red on his cheekbones from embarrassment. “you guys make it sound weird when you say it instead of [name]!”
oh, the things chuuya do for you.
“then, why is she crying?” junichiro inquired, furrowing his brows and motioning over you.
“[name] hasn't really told us about that part yet.” dazai scratched the nape of his neck with a sheepish smile, “but she insisted on having him come with us, and she was already crying when we saw her.”
“is that so?” as they shifted towards your sniffling form, fukuzawa's eyes and tone of voice softened. “then, why are you crying [name]?”
“i ran away from home.” you slowly fessed up the reason you were here, wiping the tears from your eyes.
“you ran away? why?” atsushi's face faltered into a frown as he asked after the president did.
“the higher-ups wants to execute me,” with that, your lips trembled and you sobbed once more. everyone in the room was stunned by your confession. “they took me from my daddy and locked me up somewhere dark with lots of paper and no windows, and i heard them say that.”
chuuya's grip on you tightened at that moment, prompting you to look at him and notice him clench his jaw angrily. in fact, everyone was overcome with rage toward higher-ups just like him. however, unlike chuuya, dazai and the rest of the armed detective agency were doing their best to remain calm.
“why the hell would they do that to you?” chuuya managed out, “huh?”
“i.. i don't know..” you muttered sadly, “all i did was bring my uncle and real daddy back and defeating the bad guy that prisoned daddy and responsible for shibuya along with some curses.”
“bring your uncle and real dad back?” junichiro asked in confusion, “prisoned? what?”
“[name] means that she revived them,” ranpo explained, drawing everyone's attention to him and his glasses, “and by bad guy, she's talking about the person who wreaked havoc in her home and sealed her dad, gojo satoru—the one she claims is the strongest jujutsu sorcerer alive and resembles dazai.”
“[name] can bring people back to life?” yosano's eyes widened.
“getting back to the point, why are they executing you if you saved everyone?” despite ranpo's deduction, kunikida was still perplexed by one thing, “i mean, from the looks of it, you didn't do anything wrong.”
“that's actually quite obvious,” ranpo said, pushing his glasses closer to the bridge of his nose, “the higher-ups see [name] as a threat. she is literally a being capable of traveling through universes and warping reality. in short, they are terrified of what she is capable of.”
“and what the higher-ups and, i believe, the zenin clan, who are also involved in this, cannot control, they pose as a threat.” dazai recalled the first time he met you and how you ended up telling him you were nearly kidnapped by the zenin clan while he fed you omurice.
“i'm not a monster.. am i?” your teary eyes fell to the floor as you swallowed hard, “i would never hurt anyone.. i made a promise to my daddy that i would only use my powers for good..”
everyone looked at you with sympathy and sadness. this was no doubt extremely difficult for you, and honestly, chuuya was the one who most understood how you felt right now. like the gravity manipulator and vessel of arahabaki, having his ability, or rather power, makes him question if he's even a human at all because it feels so heavy on his part, like a burden; a curse, despite the fact that neither of you two asked to be born as such.
having people fear you, seeing you as a monster or threat, messes with your head a lot, especially if you're a child, which you are.
you raised your eyes to see dazai looking at you with a small smile. “you're not a monster.”
“how do you know that?” you frowned, obviously still believing what the higher-ups and zenins said about you, “i can hurt people. i can't control my powers. i don't know how. everything i do just happens.”
“but you still choose to be kind, don't you?” dazai asked, causing your eyes to widen.
“dazai is right. even if you have a powerful ability far greater than ours or anyone else's, you choose to use it for good.” fukuzawa backed up dazai's words with his own.
“and think about it, [name]-chan.” ranpo continued, “your chaos magic always takes you where you need to go and brings about the good you desire.”
hearing ranpo's words reminded you of the first time you encountered their universe. How your chaos magic alerted you to atsushi being injured and in need of assistance, how your abilities helped you patch him up, get you and dazai out of trouble when atsushi and kunikida chased after you, how you used it to help them with their detective work, and even how it led you to this moment, of going to dazai and chuuya, the people who strongly remind you of gojo satoru and your dead uncle, geto suguru
you inquired, your eyes brightening with hope and anticipation, “then, what am i? who am i?”
chuuya turned you around to face him, and despite his smile, his eyes were filled with sympathy and sorrow. “you're very much human, just like me. just like everybody else,” he said, his gaze telling you exactly how much he had been through.
“and most importantly, you're fushiguro [name]-chan. our little universe traveling kid.” dazai approached you, gently removing you from chuuya's to hold you in his arms instead, “my little belladonna.”
“the armed detective agency's newest sharpest detective.” yosano expressed with a closed-eye smile as she folded her arms across her chest.
“you're like a little sister to me.” kyouka muttered quietly.
“us too!” junichiro exclaimed along with his sister, naomi.
hearing everyone's words, you felt as if a weight had been lifted off your shoulders and, at the same time, as if you had seen the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. finally, you had broken free from the manipulative and fear-inducing words that the higher-ups and zenins had trapped you in.
ranpo was right. your chaos magic always knows exactly where to take you, how to help you, and how to keep you safe. you had always been the one in control of it. even if you don't need to cast any incantations, your heart's desire will always come into reality.
you were the scarlet witch, and being endowed with such great power does not make you any less human.
“everyone...” your lips trembled once more, a fresh hot stream of tears threatening to spill from the brim of your eyes, but not out of sadness. instead, it was out of pure joy.
“it's okay.” dazai whispered in your ear, patting your back comfortingly as he held you close to his chest, “cry as many tears you want. don't hold them back. we're right here.”
“i'm sorry for crying so much...” you sputtered out, burying your face in dazai's shoulder and wrapping your tiny arms around his neck to conceal yourself.
“i just told you, it's alright.” dazai's chest rumbled as a chuckle escaped his lips, which were adorned with a genuine smile.
you couldn't help but feel your heart skip a beat when you felt a pair of lips press against the top of your head and a pair of arms hold you so closely yet gently, making you cry once more. dazai osamu had a striking resemblance to your beloved father, gojo satoru. the warmth and safety you felt were identical to gojo's comfort.
even when you're not exactly home, your heart is in the right place. it's always with him, and it's always with your family.

*rubs hands together*
jjk satosugu anastasia au
now, i know what y’all are thinking... geto as anya and gojo as dimitri but i raise you: gojo as anya and geto as dimitri now hear me out
so gojo obviously is the strongest and most powerful and the higher ups did Not like that, so they teamed up with idk mahito / curses or something and like toji and the gojo clan was wiped out. except The Strongest, satoru, may have lived.
no matter how hard they try, they cannot find him, so the higher ups make an announcement saying that there may be a chance that satoru is alive and they need help finding him so that they can help train him / take care of him in his family’s place, which is bull crap btw because they actually are going to kill him if they find him. this happens when satoru is like... idk ten? so, the higher ups are *technically* the queen in this au
anyways, his family isn’t Great in this au and none of them really tried to protect him, so this ten year old who doesn’t really know how to control his powers had to defend himself but got hurt and got amnesia. some non-jujutsu sorcerer finds him and he grows up kind of an orphan idk
flash forward a couple of years, gojo has no idea that he’s a jujutsu sorcerer and he sees the curses and thinks that h’s imagining things. he somehow runs into geto (dimitri) and shoko (vladimier) while they are on a mission and i don’t really have this part worked out, but idk maybe jujutsu high is running low on money or the higher ups want to shut it down and they’re like wow this kid saw the curses, maybe he’s satoru lol nah he died i don’t believe this theory but... but what if we pretend he is? and kind of rope him into it and part of the reason he agrees is because he’s bored and also a little scared that these curses he’s been seeing are real and also lonely and wants friends
so in their way back, they start teaching him stuff about being a sorcerer and it kind of comes easy to him, but it takes a while for his cursed techniques to surface. like. a while. so then yaga and utahime are going to be like lilly in this au and just help them out and yaga’s like even if this kid isn’t gojo, we want him at jujutsu high and we can teach him, so we won’t just hand him off to the higher ups
meanwhile, toji or the kyoto principal somehow figure it out and start trying to kill gojo. like, even if the kid isn’t gojo, they want to kill him just in case. so they start sending curses after him and all that jazz and at one point they happen to “run into” the sss trio and try talking to them but gojo starts getting defensive and uncomfortable and geto and shoko notice so they leave and gojo’s like “i don’t like them. they make me uncomfortable”
idk later there’s a scene with gojo and geto at jujutsu high shortly before they take gojo to see the higher ups to convince them he is gojo and geto is staring at him in the moonlight or sunlight or whatever and just says “you look so much like him...” and gojo is “???” and geto is like “oh, i met gojo satoru once. i was ten, i think, and we were *idk on a trip to jujutsu high or something haven’t figured that out yet*. we hung out while our parents talked and we talked and-” and then he tells him a little about that day and how that was a couple of days before the attack and cue in a crowd of thousands and gojo is like “you make me feel like i was there too” and geto goes “maybe you were. make it a part of your story” and gojo just makes things up based on what geto says and then says something like idk we’re the strongest and how they said that together and gojo said that to geto and geto just *jaw drops* “i didn’t tell you that?” “you didn’t have to-i remember!” and they get so excited because he really is gojo. or or or maybe gojo was there when suguru swallowed his first curse or something and he remembered what it was and had given him the courage to do it even tho it looked gross... idk...
and then the next day they meet with the higher ups and they’re like yup this is him and gojo leaves with them and yaga is like “let us teach him” and they’re like “well, we just need to talk to him first, see how he’s doing” but geto and shoko get this icky feeling and maybe nanami, haibara, and utahime join them and they maybe overhear a conversation about them planning in killing gojo and they try to stop it and they get in a fight and maybe they drugged gojo or something and he’s slightly out of it / out of commission because they realized that he was getting his memories back and needed to kill him soon and that they had to incapacitate him to do so because if he was getting his memories back, that means he was getting his cursed techniques back.
or maybe wait to bring toji back--he tries to take out shoko and geto per the higher ups orders once they get gojo and he thinks that he’s going to win and mockingly talks about how gojo is going to be killed and that really pisses them off and geto does the “you want to kill gojo satoru? then die” thing and they almost lose but manage to get the upper hand and actually maybe nanami, haibara, or utahime step in and help them out idk and then they go after gojo once they kill toji
and geto gets really hurt or idk used as a hostage or something and that kind of just, snaps gojo out of it or maybe he’s unconscious and wakes up and sees that they’re about to kill geto or something and suddenly purple and geto is just watching and is like “this is the most beautiful thing that i have ever seen i love him” [and it’s been like at least a month since they found him] and gojo ends up killing all of the higher ups and then idk passes out or something because of the drug or what they did to him and geto is like on the verge of passing out too (the higher ups saw how much they meant to each other / how much geto cared about gojo and that’s why they went after him specifically--also since he is, objectively, more powerful than the other four). and shoko, nanami, utahime, and haibara bring them back to yaga who is like BESTIES WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME??? I AM AN ADULT??? and shoko heals them even tho gojo’s cursed technique is coming back and he started subconsciously healing himself.
and then gojo got his memories back mostly, he is starting to really figure out his cursed technique, he and geto date... the world still thinks that gojo satoru is dead maybe, or maybe they learn that he killed all the higher ups, idk
and gojo is a menace the entire story, and everyone is like “why the frick won’t he shut up” or “why does he keep hugging us / touching us” and stuff like that and they realize later it is because he’s lonely and a little bit scared and y e a h
also gojo got a different name when non-sorcerers found him, idk what it is tho... idk jogo??? still don’t know that part, and he doesn’t wear the blindfold, but he wears sunglasses because he gets massive migraines without them and later, him taking his sunglasses off for the first time is when it really clicks that yeah he’s gojo satoru or maybe he does it after he starts remembering or for the first time in front of the higher ups or for the first time when he saves everyone at the end idk but !!!
#GUYS I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS OKAY#i know you could argue that geto should be anya because kenny but then they wouldn't have the whole trying to find him thing and also idc i#just want gojo to be anya and like imagine geto and shoko as like. jujutsu sorcerer conmen#like they still go to school and do their stuff but they also like do a bit of conning on the side as they Should good for them#i have. Feelings. hope y'all liked this Mess iuytfdgyhuiop#i just think that satosugu in a crowd of thousands gojo anya geto dimitri#jjk#satosugu#gojo satoru#geto suguru

title: seize the day and after hours(ao3) pairing: gojo satoru/geto suguru A jujutsu sorcerer’s life is always busy, especially those of the strongest ones, so when a window of opportunity opens itself up just to relax and be with someone you care most about, one can only give in to it. Notes for this AU: In-demand jujutsu sorcerer Gojo x Teacher Geto! In this setting, Toji failed in his mission and still got k-worded, Riko successfully merged with Tengen, so Geto didn't spiral down the "I hate monkeys" hole and Gojo didn't think of becoming a teacher. \o/
“It’s of vital importance that you do not forget to put up a Curtain before you start a mission, even if you cannot see the curse at first glance,” Suguru then carefully dismantles the Curtain before five pairs of inquisitive eyes, “Can anyone tell me why?”
A hesitant hand rises up in the air.
“Yes, Nanako?”
“Uhm, because non-sorcerers might get to see if ever the exorcism becomes a big event and it’s important that we keep the matters of the jujutsu world hidden from them to keep the status quo?”
“Yes, exactly,” Suguru smiles at her. Then, upon noticing the nearby presence, he makes his voice a little bit louder, “So don’t ever forget to set up a Curtain unless you want to be like a certain someone whose magnificent accomplishment of exploding a house got featured in the news.”
“Hey Suguru, stop slandering my renowned name in front of the kids.” The ‘renowned’ Gojo Satoru saunters over to their group, distributing the several bags on his hands. “Got you all souvenirs!”
“Did I lie?”
“Nope. Totally happened.” Satoru grins cheekily, standing next to Suguru and hooking an arm around his shoulder. “Missed me?”
“We’re still having a lesson here.” Suguru flicks at Satoru’s forehead, but he doesn’t pry away from his hold. It’s been over a week since they last saw each other after all. He did miss the man. “Any contribution to make up for your disturbance?”
“Hmm, let me think…ah! If you want to exorcise curses, you’ve got to be crazier than them.”
“That’s not particularly helpful.”
“It’s because you’re unimaginative.”
In front of five unwilling audiences, Satoru clings to his side like a leech. Suguru tries with all his might to deliver the last few important points of the day’s lesson, with one of his hands keeping Satoru’s face at bay from smothering his own.
“And that’s all for today’s session. Tomorrow, we’ll discuss some preparations before your next field assignment.”
“Yay! Suguru’s mine now!” Satoru almost didn’t let him finish his final remarks, squeezing by his side even tighter.
“Gah,” Nobara is the first one to openly show her complaint about the public display of attention in front of them, “Can you please have some consideration for us single students, Gojo-san?”
“Aren’t you too young to be thinking of romance?” Satoru answers back as if he’s talking to someone of his own age. “No dating until you’ve graduated!”
“Weren’t the two of you already dating during your second year in high school?” Megumi points out without missing a beat.
“What?!” Yuji’s jaw dropped, “They’re that long already?”
“Because it’s true love, dear students,” Satoru answers confidently, providing Suguru much embarrassment.
“Anyway,” Suguru finally cuts them off, “This has been a very fruitful conversation. You can go spar now, maybe the second years are looking for sparring partners as well.”
Teacher and students finally part ways, with the teacher dragging a long clingy blindfolded man with him. Satoru recounts to him every detail of his trip the past two weeks, even those that are not related to the mission at all, and Suguru is all ears. Ever since they reached Special Grade level as sorcerers, they’ve been given fewer missions together. Sorcerers are very few, after all, and they need to maximize their numbers efficiently. Sometimes, Suguru would find himself wishing there’s some especially dangerous situation that would require both of their presence, but he’d take back the thought as soon as it’s out, still preferring this kind of stability. So for now, he can only live through Satoru’s lively retelling.
Right as they arrived at their shared room, Satoru finally ends his narration.
“Seems like it’s another breeze of a mission, huh,” Suguru pulls off the blindfold over Satoru’s eyes and smooths down his hair.
“Mhm,” Satoru wraps his arms tightly around Suguru’s waist, burying his face on the crook of his neck. “Would have been faster if you were there.”
“Do you even need me?”
“Of course! What are you talking about?” Satoru lifts his head and stares directly at Suguru’s eyes, “Individually, we are strong enough to take down the most powerful curses. But together, I bet we could take all over the world.”
“And your point being?”
“Since we’re not onto world domination yet, we can’t help but not be together all the time.”
“Idiot.” Suguru presses a finger on Satoru’s forehead, earning him a pout. “No world domination. Keeping the peace is enough.”
“Mmmm…yeah but I still want to do something about those idiotic higher-ups.”
“You’re too chaotic for your own good. How about settling here and teaching with me instead?”
“Suguru.” Satoru’s tone is suddenly serious. His hands grabbed at Suguru’s waist, pulling him close. “Is that a marriage proposal? You know I’m gonna say yes.”
“Still thinking about it.”
“What a tease.” Satoru’s fingers find their way through Suguru’s hair, undoing his bun to let his hair loose. He then leans forward, uttering lazily against his mouth, “If you don’t propose first, I might just do it ahead of you.”
“Is that a challenge?”
“Maybe.” With a smile, Satoru closes the distance with a kiss.
Suguru sighs into it, letting Satoru lazily nibble on his lips. Some days, it’s more than enough to just lay down and let time pass, no rush, no urgency, just the two of them entangled in each other’s arms. A jujutsu sorcerer’s life is always busy, especially those of the strongest ones, so when a window of opportunity opens itself up just to relax and be with someone you care most about, one can only give into it.
_ _
A familiar ringtone wakes Suguru from his sleep, his eyes opening to the darkness. The analog clock by the wall shows 07:21 PM…he has been out for a few hours. A weight is draped over him, rendering him unable to move for a moment.
“Satoru.”
“Hm?”
“Phone.”
Satoru doesn’t budge. “That’s yours.”
“Well, how can I move with you wrapped around me?”
After a slight pause, Satoru reaches for the phone himself and answers the call. “Hello? Oh, Auntie, you called! Yeah, he’s right here. Nah, you didn’t bother us at all. I’ll give the phone to him now.”
Suguru takes the call, stifling a yawn as he answers, “Hello Mom, it’s been a while.”
He watches as Satoru lazily walks to the cabinet and pulls out a set of comfortable clothes, simultaneously gracing him with an unhindered view of his naked back.
“Yeah, it’s good here, just a bit busy with the students’ upcoming field assignment…Hm? Wait let me ask,” he covers the mouthpiece and sits up, “Satoru, Mom’s asking when we can visit.”
“As soon as you’re free,” his head comes out of the shirt, hair all messy, giving him a youthful and unrestrained look, “I have all the privilege to request a leave anytime I want. I’ll go get us dinner, okay?”
“Sure, go ahead.” Suguru waves him away, returning to the phone call with his mother, “I think we can visit during the break if there’s nothing urgent. Is there something up?”
The door outside shuts close. Satoru turns to his side, his gaze landing on the frames displayed on the bedside table. The largest among them is a group picture from last winter vacation — him, his parents, Satoru, and the four kids. For some reason, it felt like a family picture, so he had it especially framed, taking center spot among the others.
“Well, the girls are always on their phones in their free time, of course, they’d be easier to contact than me. It’s a bit busy handling a class of five, they said it’s already a big batch. Yes, yes, I’ll tell them that.”
Ten years ago, after Suguru has successfully rescued Mimiko and Nanako from that one village, he immediately went to his parent's house to ask for their help. After all, what does a seventeen-year-old know about taking care of kids? His parents were initially shocked, but upon hearing the situation, they immediately took pity on the girls and gladly took them in. You’re always in Tokyo anyway, the house feels a bit empty without a kid, they said. But the girls wanted otherwise. After a bit of coaxing, Suguru managed to convince them to stay in his family’s house until at least he graduates from Jujutsu Tech, then he will take them back to Tokyo to live with him.
Little did he know, Satoru would also pick up two kids to take care of, and this was after he declared he would not babysit anymore after they completed their task with Riko two years prior. They’re not simple kids either; though they go by the surname Fushiguro, the boy — Megumi — has an inherited technique of the Zen’ins, and yet Satoru fought tooth and nail to be their guardian. Since he didn’t want them to be involved with the jujutsu world yet, he decided to let the kids stay in Sendai until Megumi has to attend Jujutsu Tech.
The twins and the Fushiguros occasionally met when Suguru would come to Sendai with Satoru, but last year’s winter, they decided to spend it in Suguru’s home much to his parents’ delight, and they were one complete family.
Suguru smiles at the memory, just as his mother finishes her long list of reminders for the kids on the other side of the phone.
“Okay, okay, you take care, too. I won’t forget. Love you. Tell Dad I love him, too. Bye.”
After stretching a bit, Suguru finally gets up from the bed and picks up his scattered clothes on the floor, dressing himself up. Just as he is about to wear his shirt, he catches sight of the marks on his body, most especially the bruising spot on the nook of his neck.
“Goddamnit, Satoru,” he mutters, coming closer to the mirror to check how badly Satoru left evidence. “Gonna make you pay next time.”
“Dinner’s here!” Just then, Satoru’s head pops from the doorway, his blue eyes peeking right above the rim of his sunglasses. He sees Suguru standing in front of the mirror, then chuckles audibly.
“Shut it.”
“What?” A sly smile grows on Satoru’s lips as he strides closer to Suguru. He caresses the bruising mark on the nook of Suguru’s neck, then bends down to lightly kiss it, murmuring, “Any complaints about my service earlier?”
“Magnificent as always,” Suguru sighs defeatedly, “The marks you leave though…”
“I made sure your uniform will hide this,” Satoru winks at him in the mirror. “Come on, I got food.”
He drags them to the dinner table where two bowls of meatballs and steaming rice are waiting for them, “Here, eat up.”
“You bought this?”
“No, the kids made that. Yuji was teaching them earlier when I dropped by. Mimiko and Nanako especially made these meatballs for you.”
“And how about the meatballs in the bowl you’re eating?”
“Megumi made this for me.”
“…”
“He made this for his friends, but I took it.”
Suguru flashes him a smile, “I love it when you’re being honest.”
“Shut up.”
“Did you really make that much of a bad first impression on that kid? I can’t believe it’s been nine years, but he still hasn’t warmed up to you.”
“I dunno,” Satoru pouts, trying to recall the memory of their first meeting together. “I wish he could rely on me more, you know, like how the girls rely on you.”
“I do think they rely too much on me, I’m still wondering if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Well, I guess it’s because they see me as a parental figure, too. Does Megumi see you like one?”
“…”
“Figured as much. He doesn’t know about the real deal from your negotiations with the Zen’in clan, doesn’t he?”
“No need to tell him that. I don’t want him to feel indebted either way.”
“Mm-mh,” Suguru smiles. Satoru can be such an insensitive prick sometimes, but when about the most important matters, his compassion pulls through. “Megumi’s such a spoiled child with you.”
“As if you’re not spoiling the twins yourself? Why is Mimiko’s phone new again?”
“Ah…her previous one got destroyed while on a mission with Nanako last week. Of course, I had to buy a new one immediately.” Suguru reaches into Satoru’s plate and grabs one of the meatballs, quickly eating it before Satoru can complain. “Unlike you, buying stuff for Megumi and Tsumiki even though they don’t need it yet. A good thing those two kids have a sound head above their shoulders. You’re such a bad influence — huh, these meatballs sure have so much ginger.”
In revenge, Satoru steals one of Suguru’s meatballs as well, munching on it with much gusto, “Gonna have to use my money somewhere, you know, since you still don’t want to marry and all.”
“Can we get married here in Japan?”
“Mmm, I don’t think so. Not yet. Flying to another country to make it happen is no big problem though, just say the word.”
“Since when have you been a fan of formalities?” Suguru raises an eyebrow at him, “Don’t use me as an excuse to squander your fortune.”
“Come on! Think of it: when we get married, you’ll be officially under the Gojo clan. We’ll have two Special Grades in one family, the higher-ups would be so pissed!”
“You!” Suguru gives him a light kick underneath the table, “And here I thought you’re being serious. Turns out you just want to get under those old men’s nerves.”
“Of course, I’m serious! Just noting out the fact that there’s that bonus,” Satoru grins, wiggling his eyebrows, “What do you think?”
So many years have passed, it can be said that they’ve also developed in different aspects. But in simple moments like this, Suguru is reminded that though the two of them have grown together, many things never really change through the passing of time. Just like when Satoru once suggested the idea of going against Master Tengen and he readily agreed to it, this newer plan doesn’t seem less achievable. What’re a few higher-ups with the two strongest jujutsu sorcerers in Japan?
Finally, Suguru grins back, “Sounds like a great deal to me.”

(Long rant ahead bc your girl got hit by a smooth criminal inspiration while simping for getwo. Ugh can't wait for chapter 136 to see the mf. Anyway, how was your day?)
Me: *about to shower and sleep*
Inspiration: hey want some angst?
Me: no thank-
Inspiration: so anyway how about yet another roleswap au where satoru is the one getting brainswapped? Like, Toji dealt him so much damage that gojo couldn't even use reverse jutsushiki and died (alone). And when geto and mc, healed by shoko, come to where his body should be, they find nothing because it has been taken by the brain already.
Me: but-
Inspiration: and they think toji's the one who took it! Imagine this knowledge (really, just a wrong assumption) sitting on the back of their mind. Their best friend is dead, and they don't even have a grave to mourn before. They spiral down -- except it's so much worse bc gojo's death is added to amanai's. Geto goes rogue and on a vengeful quest against the "monkeys" (hear: he's gonna find toji and kick his ass and possibly co-parent his kids with mc like the responsible father he is bc we need fluff). Mc stays at the school as a teacher.
Me: wait go ahead
Inspiration: nah. Enough angst. Bye!
helloooo friend!!!
my day was good!! mostly writing cover letters and dreading the start of my semester on monday rip 💀
we rlly out here playing which one dies next AU’s LMAOOO just don’t say shoko next bc i literally will not be able to take it
gojo getting taken over by the brain?? that means gojo’s power + the brain’s planning so basically everyone’s fucked over unless gojo can fight the brain over control of his body. anti-hero geto!!! his faith in the establishment is gone, but he can’t just leave rip!mc completely alone which is the only thing keeping him from just leaving. I’d imagine he’s a lot more colder with non sorcerers, and takes more liberties in dangerous situations that involve them because he doesn’t care as much anymore. the higher ups can’t do anything about it either considering he’s one of the only special grades left.
at least we get geto and rip!mc co-parenting 😭
