Who would immedietly adopt a cat?

I have a scenario for you.

Henry sees this cute little kitty all sad and alone and being the big gentle giant that he is, immediately takes it in cause look at it its so sad and pathetic. It hangs around his cab and tidmouth sheds now and has taken a liking to the railway trio. Henry and Edward decide to name it Gordon Jr because "your face looks like a cat Gordon." "He's practically the spitting image of you" (this is literally just to tease gordon) this gets Gordon all huffy and he doesn't know whether to be flattered that they named the silly little creature after him or insulted that they think he looks like a cat. (He does btw the cgi era makes him look like a pathetic wet cat)

The cat obviously loves Henry but also loves Edward, the kitty hopping up and napping on his buffers a lot.

Gordon doesn't want to admit he loves the cat. "It’s a small silly little thing. Get it away from me." "Filthy thing. Disgraceful."

"Edward- Edward get it off me, it's climbing me- eDWARD HELP"

The other two find him baby talking/cooing to the cat one day and he's teased until he admits he "tolerates its presence."

The cat, affectionately nicknamed GJ, now is Tidmouth's shed cat.
