TBB S2 Finale Spoilers Ahead!!
Thoughts on Death™ in The Bad Batch:
besties Tech was not the “death” i would have predicted from this show and i also don’t believe he’s actually dead (✨no force ghost, no canon✨). it makes me wonder, though, how many of us are truly prepared to possibly watch the Batchers die
i think we’ve known for awhile that by the very end of the show, there will be deaths and that at least one of those deaths will be Echo. thematically it finishes his arc (pun intended) of serving to protect the ideals of the Republic and his brothers. in the end he’ll march on with the rest of Domino Squad. and the rebel base on Hoth is called Echo Base for crying out loud! do you know how scared i was when we saw snow this season :’(
as i’ve seen pointed out, TBB is following an overall storyline much like Rebels, which we all know ended in the death of Kanan—the wise leader with experience in the Clone Wars who watched as his family was wiped from existence. see the parallels between him and Echo?
also TBB starts with seeing young, inexperienced Caleb/Kanan who then dies in the next chronological show. remind me of what Clone Wars started with in S1 E5? oh? if you said seeing a young, inexperienced Echo (and Fives) who then goes on to be in the next chronological show you’d be correct! the parallels are killing me
my personal predictions are that Echo and Crosshair won’t survive the series. Tech will come back, but not the same, and he, Hunter, Wrecker, and Omega will go on to live different lives. Emerie will also, probably, not survive :/
terrified for what’s in store for us next season!

Bad Batch Family (no pairing(except Phee and Tech))
summary: Omega makes her brothers a present that is full of their favorite memories.
warnings: none, it's just fluff
word count: ~1250
advent calendar masterlist
a/n: this is the twenty fourth fic for my advent calendar! i hope you enjoy! merry christmas to everyone who is celebrating today already!
i also found this lovely piece of art by @blazedeclipse of omega playing with her camera a few weeks ago, and it was so cute and somewhat fitting that i have to show it to everyone!
Tumblr media
It's been a few months since they were finally able to settle down on the quiet and peaceful island. The stress from the war and its aftermath has slowly disappeared. At first, Omega's brothers were a little lost. Nobody knew what to do, now that they finally had time for themselves, without any missions or shady jobs to gain a handful of credits.
It took a while for all of them to gain a foothold and live their new lives. Wrecker managed to help the people where he could and became a valued member of Pabu's society. He also discovered his passion for cooking and was making the best meals for them.
Tech finally had time to reinforce his relationship with Phee and had fun with teaching people different things about everything.
While trying to get accustomed to this new place and people, Hunter slowly but surely let his walls fall and laid down his role as the strong leader. He became the best father figure Omega could have ever imagined.
But Echo and Crosshair didn't manage that well at first. While Echo was restless and antsy, trying to be useful in every way, Crosshair had a very hard time. He was sad, and angry, and at the same time his guilt was eating him up alive.
It took both of them a lot of time to finally adjust to their new lives.
And Omega? She was just happy. She finally had the family she ever wanted. She lived with her brothers in a small house. She could visit her friends whenever she wanted. She simply felt good. She wasn't scared or troubled anymore. Just happy.
Months passed by and she collected countless memories and experiences. Memories, she never wanted to forget.
Because of that, she had begged Tech countless times to make her goggles just like his, so she also could record everything.
The Problem was, that she didn't need any glasses. Her eyes worked perfectly fine. So Tech decided to make a small device that had the same functions as his goggles and gave it to her about a year ago.
Since that moment, she took the small holo-recoder with her everywhere she went.
She took pictures of the sea and the nature, of animals, of her and Lyana, of Wrecker and how he proudly holds up a new meal he made, Tech and Phee laughing, Hunter when he was sleeping on the hammock in the garden, Crosshair scowling at Hunter, Echo smiling shyly and of herself.
With the time, she collected picture over picture. Some of them, she had printed out and put them on her wall.
But she wanted to share those pictures and memories. It just was right on time, when Phee was talking about some festivities called Christmas and about traditions. Watching holo movies, eating cookies, meeting with loved ones, and presents.
She immediately knew what she wanted to give her brothers for this special day.
On the same day, she sat down and decided so make a photo album for them. Over the next few weeks, she planned, printed more pictures, glued them in a small empty book she bought from the market and decorated every page in its own style.
Hunter even got a little worried because she was in her room so much and didn't let anyone of them in. But well, it should be a surprise, right?
After about three weeks of hard work, she finally finishes the album and proudly holds the thick book to her chest. Christmas was going to be amazing.
When the said holiday finally comes around, she already wakes up with the biggest smile on her lips. For a small second, she is scared that maybe her brothers won't like her present, but as soon as her eyes fly to the finished photo album, all her worries fade away. They will love it as much as she loves it!
The whole day is like Phee described it already. They watch classic Christmas movies in the afternoon and eat some of the baked goods she brought around.
After some time, Wrecker gets up to start cooking. Here and there, one of them helps him and after about two hours they eat dinner.
She's a little bit absent. Her mind is mostly occupied with the photo album. When Hunter notices and asks if she's okay, she just nods, too tense to speak. She doesn't notice how Echo and Hunter exchange a quick, concerned glance, seriously worried by now.
The rest of the meal is relatively quiet and everyone is savoring the unbelievably delicious food on their plate. When all of them are done, they clean up the table and the kitchen together.
When they're finally finished, Omega decides that now is the right time.
"I have something for you," she says, her voice thin and shaky.
Before anyone can say a thing, Omega runs up to her room, grabs the wrapped book and soon after, she is standing next to her brothers again.
"A gift?" Wrecker asks excited when he sees the colorful paper.
All the attention lies on her now. Everyone is watching her as she comes closer and places it on the table.
"Yes, I- I- thought... That maybe you'll like it," she nods, sliding it towards them.
While the others are a little unsure and don't know what to say at first, Wrecker is all excited. He grabs the present and before anyone can protest, he already rips the paper away, gasping as he gets a good look at what's inside.
"A book?" he questions, looking over at her.
"A photo album," she corrects, but nods.
Wrecker's eyes get big.
"I thought... Well, Phee talked about Christmas gifts and I wanted to give you something back because you care for me so much. I care too. And... this is a small thank you for everything you do for me," she says quietly, looking around all of them.
All of them look a bit confused at first, before understanding settles in their eyes. When she finishes, she feels proud of herself and when she interprets Hunter's face right, he is too.
"Come over here," Echo is the first one to break the silence. When she reaches him, he lays his arms around her.
"Thank you so much, Omega. This is very kind of you," he tells her, stroking through her short hair.
All of them say their thanks in their own way. Whether it's a silent nod and a pat on her shoulder by Crosshair, the red glint on Tech's face as she tells him that the pictures are taken with his holo-recorder or Wrecker's bear hug. Hunter is the last one that pulls her close.
"Thank you," he whispers in her hair, before pulling her down on a chair next to him. "Let's give it a look on the inside!"
Said and done.
In the next hour, they're sitting huddled together at the dinner table and look at all the different pictures.
They laugh, and smile and retell different stories they remember when they see pictures.
Phee went to clean the last few dishes as soon as Omega came around with the present. When she finishes, she quietly sits down with them, enjoying their conversations. She keeps in the background, not wanting to disturb their family moment. They still have too less of them, in her opinion, and seeing all of them so happy and careless warms her heart.

ty so much for this Viv! Let's see...
1. Your favorite member of TBB is:
I am going to cheat and interpret this as the show and say Phee. >.>
2. Because:
We get so few women in SW who are independent of other organizations, just out there on their own doing their thing. And then they made her a refugee from the war which gave her a connection to the Batch as former clones without making it too reliant on their story directly. It's really nice to see that kind of writing, which gives a woman a tangential experience. And she's one of our few black women as well! All around I love her.
3. You identify the most with:
tbh as much as I am maybe the most similar to Tech in a general behavioral sense, I identify the most with Hunter.
4. Because:
I too feel like I could stand to sleep for a century to recover from The Literal Everything and am second-guessing my own decisions about 1 picosecond after they're made. Tech NEVER second guesses himself, Hunter does even as he's doing the thing. His confidence in himself is destroyed and boy can I relate.
5. Your favorite minor character from the show:
idc what anyone says I love Cid.
6. Because:
I support Cid's wrongs. She's a cranky old girl who's like 'okay why should I help ANYONE I don't see any of you showing up to help me! we're all in it for ourselves!' She has no time for any young person's nonsense either. She's as chaotic neutral as it gets.
7. A TBB-centric piece or post of yours that you are most proud of:
The Havoc Marauder Layout
8. Because:
I don't know who else has this problem but my orienteering is for shit. I cannot mentally map things, at all. Period. I need a visual representation in front of my face. Yes this includes the interior of the campervan shuttle. So, I'm glad I put together enough reasoning that I can almost sort of see it in my head.

10. A TBB-centric piece of art that slaps so hard you enjoy (and why):
UGH SO MUCH I COULD PUT HERE. How do I choose????? Okay okay okay...GOD. Okay because I adore how it came out and pause every now and then to open it and look at it, the lovely 'Jedi!Phee' piece I commissioned from Eli Tan.

12. A TBB-centric fanfic that gives you life you enjoy (and why):
I don't typically go in for modern TBB AUs but every time kaydear updates 'message waiting' I am glued to my phone/computer to read it. I'm a long-time player of MMOs and everything about the interactions and characterizations in the fic has been so very perfect.
13. Link:

14. A TBB headcanon or trope that is 100% canon to you:
ExobBiologist Tech. Given his druthers he would 100% be out there observing species and writing papers and arguing at symposia and any ship which was his (...or his and Phee's...) would have an entire section dedicated to his ever-growing collection of samples. I like to think that's where he'll wind up post S3 WHEN HE IS INEVITABLY ALIVE!!!!! >:(
15. Color(s) you think would suit if Crosshair gets "Mercenary" armor:
SO MANY IDEAS. SO MANY. ALL OF THE IDEAS. Since snipery-ness is his thing I actually think he would avoid the bright accent colors, as cool as those would be. Probably something in a middle-tone gray and a muted rust (not bright orange like Tech has), some arm wraps for The Obvious Reason in gray-green. Very camo-like appearance without being overt.
16. One thing you NEED to see happen in Season 3:
#TECHLIVES. And reunites with the squad and Phee. (This is one thing.)
NPTs: anyone who sees this and wants to tell us their thoughts! SPILL!!
Fellow Zealots of The Bad Batch, Unite!
Please share your answers to these questions and pass them on to some of your Bad Batch-loving buds!

The Bad Batch Hunter x Reader Smut
I had a request sitting in my inbox that I took on and I am finally getting to it. This is for @dominhoe-squad who requested a Hunter breeding kink fic. With the Bad Batch in full swing and seeing that man taking care of Omega this man full on has a breeding kink (I’M 100% POSITIVE THAT ALL CLONES HAVE BREEDING KINKS). So hope y'all are ready for this one IT IS LONG! I do not own The Bad Batch or anything Star Wars. Oh also Crosshair was rescued and Howzer was as well. WARNINGS: Smut (duh), Dom/Sub undertones, Hair Pulling, Squirting, Oral Female Receiving, Slight Rank Kink, Multiple Creampies, P in V, Unprotected Sex, Cockwarming, Spanking, Overstimulation, Hair Pulling, Light Bondage, Some Edging, One Clit Slap, Slight Passing Out Due to Mind-blowing Sex, Slight Degradation, Vibrator and Breeding Kink (obviously).
-------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
Hunter was exhausted after this previous mission as he watched his brothers drink a toast at Cid’s bar. They had managed to rescue Crosshair and Captain Howzer, and Howzer was talking with Captain Rex about what the next step would be. You sat watching them, but your gaze turned to Hunter as Omega tugged on his hand. He was really good with Omega, and watching him these past few cycles stirred something primal in you.
You and Hunter had gotten together after you and Rex had convinced Anakin that Echo was still alive. After fighting with the Bad Batch you realized just how well you fit in with them. Hunter and the others offered you and Echo to join them and you both had accepted. You had been by Crosshair’s side ever since he was rescued and his chip removed. He had nightmares of the things he had done while under the control of the inhibitor chip.
Hunter watched as Omega scampered off to where Crosshair sat, and to your surprise he patted the bar stool next to him. You smiled as for the first time in a long time your small family was back together again. The hours ticked by and it wasn’t long before you noticed how tired everyone was. Crosshair was now in the booth with Tech, Echo, Wrecker and Omega. They were all leaning on each other fast asleep.
“Well I didn’t know we were all that tired”, Rex yawned beside you. “It’s been an interesting couple of cycles with too much excitement”, you giggled. “You know we have the apartment above the bar. I would feel better if you all rested before you traveled again” you told Rex and Howzer. “I think that is a generous offer, are you sure?” Rex asked. “Yes I’m sure. We have an extra room with actual beds you all can sleep on”, you informed them.
You showed them to their room upstairs and once they were settled in you made your way back downstairs to get the rest of your squad. Waking Tech and Echo was easy and they helped Wrecker up the stairs. You gently shook Crosshair until he shot awake and looked around. “Easy Cross it’s just me you’re safe. I just wanted to get you upstairs to your room”, you told him.
“Come on Crosshair I’ll show you to your’s and Wreckers room”, Hunter said. They both disappeared upstairs as you slowly picked Omega up without waking her. You were just making your way into the apartment when Hunter opened the door. He opened the door wider and watched you as you took Omega to her room. Hunter watched as you pulled her covers back and put her into her bed covering her up. “Sleep well Omega”, you whispered as you kissed her forehead as she slept.
When you looked up Hunter’s gaze was fixed on you as you went back out to the main room. You quickly boiled some water for your night time tea making sure not to wake anyone. You let the tea steep as it cooled then sipped on it cautiously. As you were lost in thought Hunter pressed himself against your back and caged you against the counter with his arms on either side of you. You smiled behind your tea cup as he assaulted your neck and shoulder with kisses and nips.
“What’s got you so worked up?”, you questioned but gasped when he pressed his growing erection against your ass. Quickly setting the cup aside you tried to turn around so you could kiss him, but he kept you firmly trapped. “Ah ah ah cya’re. Do you know how badly I want to bend you over this counter and stuff you full of my cock. Keep you full of me and cum deep inside you and keep filling you until I can’t anymore hmmm meshla”, he groaned out as he ground into you a couple more times.
The thought of that alone made you wet and you pushed back against him. He chuckled as you shamelessly pushed your ass back into him. He finally let you turn around and you jumped him like a starved nexu pouncing on prey. He kissed with possessiveness and urgency as you tugged at the shirt he was wearing. He pulled it over his head and it landed on a chair as your fingers wound their way into his hair and tugged.
He pulled away briefly and looked down at you with pure hunger and desire. He quickly picked you up and set you on the table in the kitchen. Quickly he wound his fingers into your hair and tugged enough to elicit a moan from you as he started to suckle on the juncture where your shoulder and neck meet. “I think I should breed you tonight (Y/N) what do you say?”, he rasped. You groaned as you imagined what was in store for the night.
You gasped when Hunter slung you over his shoulder and started to carry you towards your shared room. Deciding to make things a little more interesting you started to wiggle trying to get free. You squeaked when Hunter's hand connected with your ass and he growled out for you to stay still. “What if I don’t want to be still”, you giggled. “Oh I’ll make sure you stay still (Y/N) even if I have to tie you up”, he promised.
Once in the bedroom he shut the door and tossed you onto the bed. Before you could react he was over you pushing you into the mattress as he kissed you hungrily. You helped him take off your shirt and your pants. Hunter pinned your hands above you telling you to keep them there and you grabbed fistfulls of sheet. You were doing exceptionally well as he took off your undergarments. He kissed his way down your body stopping to nip and suckle on each nipple.
He was making it very difficult to keep your hands off of him like he ordered you to, but it really all came crashing down when his mouth met your pussy. Gasping you reached one hand down to tangle in his hair, and gave a small tug. He groaned, sending vibrations through you, and making you squirm. “I’ll let you have this small moment, but after this I’m going to make sure you keep your hand off me as punishment”, he told you before delving back to your folds that were slick with your arousal.
He grinned as he could hear your heart rate speed up and how you started to contract slightly with each pass of his tongue. “Hunter I… I’m gonna… oh kriff I’m gonna cum”, you whimpered, but groaned in frustration when he stopped. “I’m sorry what was that”, he said smugly. “You can’t be serious”, you said as a blush creeped over your face. “I am serious or we can just go to bed”, he said leaning back on his heels.
“NO!”, you shouted. He quirked an eyebrow up at you. “I mean no Sergeant Sir”, you reiterated blushing. “That’s more like it”, he smiled resuming his task of making you come undone. It didn’t take him long to get you back to the edge. “Oh kriff oh kriff oh kriff just like that Hunter Sergeant Sir”, you babbled as you were right on the edge. Hunter looked up and met your eyes right as he sucked harshly on your clit and flicked his tongue over it.
You came with a cry as Hunter gripped your thighs with his arms holding you still and working you through your orgasm. You started to try to pull away as your orgasm faded and overstimulation took its place. “Hunter I ca… I can’t please oh please”, you cried as tears started to prick the corners of your eyes. He only glanced at you as he continued, and another sensation hit you and you felt like you were going to burst.
“Come on (Y/N) you taste so good give me one more like this”, he groaned as you fought off the heavy feeling building in your stomach. He doubled his efforts as you tried to fight off whatever was happening to your body. He hummed, sending vibrations through you, and plunged two fingers deep into your pussy. The squelching sound was so obscene as he pumped his fingers faster. All at once your vision went white as another stronger orgasm ripped though you.
You could hear Hunter slurping and taking all you had to give, and finally when you started twitching he relented. Your chest was heaving and when your vision came back you looked down to see Hunter as smug as ever covered in your slick, but then that’s when you felt the wet patch under your ass. “Did I just?”, you questioned. “Yeah and that was so karking hot we’ll have to try that again sometime, but right now I want you on your hands and knees”, he ordered.
You complied and crawled up the bed a little as he swore behind you as you wiggled your ass to tease him. “Now head down and ass up (Y/N)”, he said with a smirk. Your face grew warm and you knew it had to be red as you slowly did as he told you. You heard him pull out of his sweats and boxers then make his way behind you. Jumping a little as he put his hands on your hips and pulled you back into him.
He brought your ass flush against him and his cock rested between your ass and his stomach as he leaned over you. “Now give me your hands”, Hunter commanded. You were unsure but gave him your hands as you felt him tie your wrists together behind your back. When you glanced back he had taken his bandana off to tie your wrists and some of his hair fell into his eyes, and damn that sight alone had you aching for him more.
Once he was satisfied with your tied wrists he pulled back just enough to run his cock through your slick pussy. You jumped a little every time he bumped into your clit and it made him chuckle. Oh that deep raspy chuckle had you clenching around nothing as you waited for him to give it to you. “So eager. I can already feel your cunt fluttering and kark your smell is driving me up the wall. I could smell you earlier in the bar you know, and I wanted so badly to just take you on the bar top right in front of the others. To show them who this pussy belongs to”, he stated.
“Why didn’t you?”, you asked. “Because Omega was there, but the way you take care of her and the way you act like a mother to her makes me absolutely want to bury myself into you every time”, he growled out. He had been distracting you as you felt him slowly slide the head of his cock in and stop. “Makes me want to see what it would be like to have our own '', he gritted out as he got halfway and stopped. “What do you think let me put a baby in you, breed you full, and have another addition to our small family”, he whispered hotly in your ear as he bottomed out.
“Yes please, oh please please [please move”, you begged. He snapped his hips forward and it had you gasping as he pulled all the way out only to plunge back into you. He set a fast pace and grabbed your tied wrists to give himself more leverage. He was brushing over a wonderful spot that was building a wonderful orgasm.  He changed his angle just enough to have you clamping down on him, but he didn’t stop.
He put a hand on your lower belly and gently squeezed, “Imagine that’s where our baby will be”. You were reeling as you knew Hunter had a breeding kink, and it had been brought up before, but never like this. This was different and it had you coming again clamping down around him and soaking his cock. He collapsed forward draping his body over yours and grabbing your shoulders to get as deep as he could inside you as he came.
Heat flooded your pussy and when he pulled out he tisked as some of his cum leaked out of you. “That won’t do”, he said. He quickly flipped you on your side pulling one leg up and straddled your other leg. He quickly pushed his cock back into you, having you whimper at the new angle. He began another relentless pace and you so badly wished your hands were untied so you could touch him, but he had left them tied behind your back.
You were close and he could tell by the noises that you were making. You were about to fall over that precipice again, but he slowed and your release ebbed away slightly. “Hunter please no please keep going I was… I was so close”, you pant. He was slowly rosking into you at this point and you started to squirm. He stopped then did something you never expected as he started thrusting hard and once you got close he gave your clit one slight slap and it had you coming hard as your legs shook.
Hunter groaned as he filled you again and watched your face grow more blissed out. He pulled out and untied your wrists then rolled you onto your back. He waited to make sure you were okay, some of his dominance slipping, but once you nodded you were okay he pulled your legs around his hips and slipped back inside you. The sound of your already too full pussy was down right pornagraphic as he started up again.
He pulled back a little in order to cup and squeeze each breast and pinch each nipple, sometimes rolling one between his thumb and finger. “These would fill up with milk and your belly would grow round with our son or daughter”, he murmured leaning down to kiss you roughly. Then he pulled away to suck a nipple into his mouth alternating between biting and sucking on it, then giving the same treatment to the other one.
“Ah Hunter I’m close”, he started to grind a little with his thrusts and this orgasm this time was a rolling one, and felt like molten lava running through your veins. He grabbed your legs and bent them as much as he could as he pounded into you and pressed you down with most of his weight. He went rigid and groaned so loud you were sure it would wake the others.
You were running your fingers through his hair and cupping his cheek with your other hand. When he opened his eyes you could still see that fire behind them. “Do you think you have one more in you?”, he questioned making sure you were okay. You nodded even though you had never come this many times like this before you were willing to try. He sat up and pulled out of you making you whimper at the loss of him.
He rummaged around in the bedside table until he found what he was looking for. It was your small vibrator that you had bought and only used when Hunter wouldn’t take you along on certain missions in the early days. “I’m gonna tie your wrists to the headboard and you are gonna take everything I give you to understand. How were you still this turned on you would never know, but you were already putting your wrists up so he could secure you.
Once he was satisfied it wasn’t too tight he entered you again. This pace was slow and he turned the vibrator on to the lowest setting pushing it against your clit. At first it didn’t seem like it was doing much for you until Hunter turned it up a little higher. Still not on the highest setting he would build up and just when you think you were about to cum he would pull it away and stop thrusting.
He did this several times and you were whimpering for release. “It’s okay meshla I’m gonna take good care of you and fill you full until my seed takes”, he hushed you. Eventually he was nearing his end as well, and then you realised not only was he edging you to the point of tears, but he was also edging himself. Without much of a warning he turned the vibrator back on and to the highest setting as he pounded into you harder than he had all night.
You were a gasping, whining and pleading mess as your orgasm was about to crash over you before he stopped one more time. “No nonononono please no pleasepleaseplease”, you cried out as tears fell from the corners of your eyes. You had been so close and you could tell this orgasm was going to be cosmic. “Easy, shhhhhh, you don’t want the others to know I’m breeding my little slut do you?”, he rasped. He leaned down to kiss you with as much passion and need as he could muster.
He pulled back to start up again turning the vibrator on and it was almost instantaneous as your orgasm had you clamping down on him like a vice. You heard a choked curse from him as he spilled into you, but then your vision went black and your hearing went as your whole body shook with the intensity of it, and then you felt the weight of Hunter over you. Then everything stopped, it was just darkness, then slowly it was as if your brain was sluggishly rebooting.
When you finally opened your eyes Hunter’s chest was heaving, and he had untied you. “(Y/N) are you alright hey look at me cyare. I need you to answer me”, he sounded panicked. “What...what happened Hunter are you okay?”, you mumbled slightly giddy as your body felt the after effects of that last orgasm. “(Y/N) you passed out are you sure you are okay”, he questioned in his Sargeant voice. “I’m fine”, you giggled.
He went to pull out, but you tightened your legs around him. “(Y/N)”, he said sternly. “I want to stay full of you tonight. Don’t want to waste any of it”, you yawned. He relented and pulled you to his chest rolling over and covering you both. You were comfortably draped over him as he was softening some inside you. “If you really want to start a family, Hunter, I wouldn’t mind. I mean I have a birth control chip, but I can get it removed”, you said lifting your head to look into his soulful brown eyes.
He smiled, “Maybe once we aren’t in any more danger and we get enough credits we can all find a remote plot of land on a backwater planet and add to the family we have. I’m sure Omega would love to have someone to play with”. “Yeah that sounds like a solid plan”, you told him as you drifted off to sleep. Hunter leaned up kissing the top of your head, “I love you”. “I know”, you whispered as you fell asleep.
That next morning you and Hunter showered and met everyone in the kitchen. Hunter had just taken a sip of caff watching you cook breakfast when Omega came tearing into the kitchen. “Is it true? Am I going to have a little brother or sister! Tech and Echo said that you and Hunter are going to have a baby!?”, she squealed. Hunter choked on his caff as everyone else came into the kitchen.
“Well no not exactly”, you said looking up to glare at Tech and Echo. “Omega can you go down to the bar and see if there are any meiloorun down there”, you told her. She seemed a little disappointed, but ran down to the bar as you rounded on Tech and Echo. “What the hell were you thinking telling her we were going to have a baby!”, you growled. “Well from the sounds everyone heard last night that is what we figured you two were doing. Besides these walls are thin and you don’t have to have Hunter’s hearing to know what is happening or being said.
At that both you and Hunter were blushing like mad as everyone chuckled. Even Rex and Howzer seemed amused, but how were you going to explain to Omega that you weren’t giving her another brother or a sister. “Don’t worry once she finds something to take her mind off of it she will forget about it”, Crosshair spoke up as he grabbed a cup of caff. Once Omega was back she kept asking about the nonexistent baby. “I’m not explaining anything to her”, Hunter chuckled. Great, leave it to your Sergeant and lover to throw you under the speeder.
-------------------------------------------
Well that was it guys hope you all like it. I worked on this for a couple days almost non stop with little sleep. So that being said there may be some errors that I may have to edit later. Hope everyone likes this thirst trap!

Drunk Confidence
A/N: Woah, I actually released a fic on Tech Tuesday, I swear that never happens? Anyway, have this crappy excuse of a story! Would anyone like to see a part 2 for this because I've got some ideas in mind?

Tech x Gender Neutral reader
Part 2 - Sober Suspicions
Tumblr media
----------------------------------------------------------
A night out on the town, it was all you needed to feel alive again. No longer dragging your feet around the ship out of exhaustion, no longer begging for some caf; no matter how crappy it tasted. You simply let the music take you and the alcohol fuel you, there wasn't a better way of living than that.
And the batch had agreed with you, you had all had some hard missions this week and if anything were to save you all it would be a drink with only the highest amounts of alcohol in them. You had practically rushed out of the Havock at the very thought of getting drunk that night, the only thing on your mind was a party, to have fun and dance the night away.
Some members of the group were a little more...apprehensive about the whole experience, rather choosing to slowly drink away at their glass than go all out like the rest of you did. That person was Tech, he cared more about his words and behaviour while drunk than any of you did. Where you slurred words and laughed uncontrollably, Tech spoke fully articulated and sat up straight in the booth.
Although, he had to admit that he did find your drunken state humourous, to say the least. You were much more loose than you usually were, but he knew alcohol had that effect on people. Take Hunter, for example, their usually stoic Sergent was cracking jokes and dancing in his chair to the distant music playing from the bar's speakers. Any other day, the trooper would be caught dead dancing, only cracking some snarky comments on a mission, but with alcohol enthused into his veins, he was a completely different person.
Yes, Tech had noted the effects of their murky drink on each of the batch members. Wrecker was louder, if that was even possible, Crosshairs was more open, even if his emotions came out in the form of harsh sarcasm and Echo, well like Tech, he tended to drink less; a smart move on his part really.
But he had to admit he much preferred your drunken state compared to his brothers; he'd die in a hole if his brothers had flirted with him the way you did. You were currently joined to the hip with Tech, arms rubbing against his armour as you cackled at something Wrecker had said, head thrown back in hysterics.
Tech wasn't quite sure what his brother had said to make you laugh so hard, he was too distracted by your face to even care. He'd never admit it to you while you were fully sober, but Tech found himself falling more and more in love with you as time went on. It took him a while to come to that conclusion, that he was in love with you, it just didn't seem right to him. He knew he was a defect from the original clone recipe, but to fall in love?
It wasn't uncommon for that to happen, especially in the wider world outside of the clone anatomy, but for it to happen to him felt like a joke. A cruel prank by the universe, the force if he so chooses. But the blink of your lashes against your rosy cheeks, the dip in your nose from a few missions back when you got caught under debris, the shine in your eyes. He couldn't help but fall for you, it was logical after all, he had done the math.
He had calculated the possibility of you liking him back, 67% for those who wondered, it was a high percentage indeed but there was still a 33% chance that you didn't like him either. Tech didn't want to ruin the relationship he had with you, an awkward partnership that soon dubbed into a friendship. He'd hate to ruin that, and there lied his apprehension to mention it to you, no matter how logical the step seemed.
"And that's when the guy jumped from behind me, all it took was a simple wrench manoeuver and the guy was down!" Wrecker cheered, his drink spilling as his animated form flung to the air, "Heh, he won't be leaving that med bed for a while."
"Well, he won't be getting up at all, a broken spine tends to do that, Wrecker." Crosshairs huffed, sipping his drink, but a dark smirk was wet on his lips. You spluttered out a laugh, again, leaning against Tech's arm as you wept tears of joy.
"Stop, stop- it-it's too goood!" you muttered, trying hard to catch your breath. Hunter slipped away from the booth unnoticed, stumbling his way to the bar and back with a fresh new round, Tech was surprised he hadn't spilt any on the way back. As the Sergent handed out the next round, Tech intercepted your drink and pulled it far from you.
You blinked at your empty hand, brain still catching up with what was going on, "Wha- heeeeey~" you groaned out, slowly turning your head to catch Tech's eyes. The man in question smiled at your childlike nature, shaking his head as he promptly spoke, "You've had too much to drink for one night, you're perhaps forgetting we have a mission in two days and I would prefer it if you weren't hungover the whole time."
"Pffft, I- I won't be hungover, I'mmm not even drunk!" you laughed out, eyes blinking slowly. Tech let a chuckle slip out through his lips, "I highly doubt that, my dear."
"GAsp, you 'hink I'm drunk, don't youuu?" you slurred out, suddenly turning to the rest of the group, hands pounding on the table. The drinks shook with the vibrations causing Crosshairs to moan out when a small drop fell to the table, "Guyysss, Tech here, thinks I'mm 'runk! Amm I?" you questioned.
A chorus of cheers screamed "No!" while Echo muttered a weak: "Yes."
"So it's decided, I'm taking you back to the ship before you get into any serious trouble. Excuse me, Hunter." Tech announced, moving to stand as best as he could to get out of the booth. His hand worked its way around your wrist and effectively dragged you out with him, sliding past Hunter, you begged him to let you stay.
The boss just laughed, bandana falling down to cover his left eye, "Sssorry, can't help ya!" he roared, ultimately causing you to groan. Tech refused to let go of your arm, still pulling you along with him, eventually you gave up trying to escape and clung to him without shame. It surprised the clone, he wasn't prepared for you at all to do that but in theory, he should have seen it coming with your far more tipsy state.
"Tech~" you mused, drawing your nose to bump against the cut of his jaw, wobbling on your tip-toes to reach the giant. Tech stopped walking, knowing you would fall if he carried on, he turned to face you with a sigh, "Yes, (Y/N)?"
You leaned up closer, nose dragging over his cheeks, inciting a red blush to follow wherever you went. Finally reaching your destination, you bumped your own nose against his, "Boop." you laughed, pulling back and leaning heavily against his chest, arms flung over his shoulders. Tech wrapped his arms around your waist, gone past the point where he could ask for your permission to do so.
He begged that his face let up from the pink virus he had captured when it came to you, hoping he wouldn't make a fool of himself in front of you. With another empty sigh, Tech, not so gracefully, lifted you over his shoulder so he could get back to his ship quicker. Ignoring all the stares from whoever was out that late at night, you cheered along, hitting your palms against his back as you sang out of tune.
When he finally approached the Havock, Tech went to place you down but immediately stopped when you objected.
"Wait! I-I gotta doo somethin' first!" you protested, leaving Tech confused for once in his life. So doing as he was told, Tech resumed the same position as before, you slung over his shoulder, albeit a little further down than before. Tech waited for you to do something, maybe you were trying to pass up gas or something, similar to an infant.
What he didn't expect, however, was a light tap on his armour closer to his...out of reach regions, let's say. Tech's body shook, he pulled you down instantly, arms moving away from touching you and face pale yet bright red at the same time. He watched as you giggled away, the smallest hint of a blush on your cheeks and around the bridge of your nose.
He didn't know what to do, stunned by a single action, an action by you no less.
"Let'sss gooooo!" you shouted, preparing to charge up the ship's ramp. But your first large step ended in misery as you quickly began to tip backwards, waving your arms to centre yourself, your body leaned heavily forwards. Expecting to hit the ground and feel it more in the morning, you embraced the feeling of falling, nothing quite like the thrill of it all.
Tech launched after you, wrapping his arms around your hips without thought and dragging your back to rest against his chest. His laboured breaths warmed the tips of your ears, a toasty blush now on your face.
"Maker, don't do that." he huffed out, pulling you into a position where he could get the both of you into the ship. He could feel your fingers tracing the side of his armour as he walked you to the bunks, a disaster zone by the time the others would get back.
You flopped face-first into the bunk, groaning when it hurt slightly. From the noise alone, Tech's eyes widened in panic, he turned so your back was against the covers and inspected you for any injuries, even if they were minor.
Pushing his hands away with your own, you cheekily wrapped your fingers around his so he couldn't escape, "I'm fineee," you groaned out, smiling up at him with pearly whites. Tech felt the light squeeze in his hands, flicking his gaze over to capture his right hand entangled with yours.
"Stay with me~" you begged, face buried into the cover, eyes closed. Tech didn't know what to say, well that was a lie the obvious answer was yes, the answer his heart was churning for. But when did he ever let his heart decide? His brain was his heart in Tech's own opinion and it had never let him down before.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, you need to rest." he carefully untangled your fingers from his, gently laying your hands on top of your chest as your breathing evened out. Moving away from your passed out form, Tech swore he heard your lips murmur something, "(Y/N)?" he questioned, stepping back over to the bunk.
You didn't wake from your calming sleep, just murmuring to yourself, perhaps lost in a dream Tech could only describe. His fingers reached out on their own accords, startling Tech, but he did little to stop the movement. His fingers danced across your hairline, pulling the stray strands away from your face and back into the bundle of hair on top of your head.
He couldn't do this, couldn't keep a secret so large from you. Well, there was no one around, everyone else still at the bar or at the very least making their way back. And you were practically knocked out unconscious, so why couldn't he let his feelings out?
Taking a deep breath in, Tech hummed out his feelings, a small "I-I love you," declared from his lips. Pulling away, Tech left you alone, the door swooping shut behind him. He made his way to the cockpit, the trusty old cockpit. He fell into the chair, back hitting it hard and slightly knocking the wind out of him, at least he said it, got it out into the world.
"Maker, what are you doing to me." he whispered out, eyes focused on the stars through the window above.

A comm alarm beeped softly, slowly pulling you out your slumber. Giving the device a sleepy glare, you shut it off and huffed back onto your bunk. Wrecker’s snores were echoing off the small ship barracks, you rolled your eyes at his sleeping form across the room as you swung your legs over the side of your top bunk. Below you, Tech slept soundly, he managed to fall asleep with his goggles on which were now sitting wonky on his relaxed face. He also had a datapad clutched to his chest, almost like a teddy bear, which made you chuckle to yourself.
You’d barely slept after getting back from the mission but being a General stopping over on Coruscant meant rest would be a pipe dream. Your alarm was set to get you out of bed and ready for the first of what you were sure would be a hundred and ten briefings today. You were always happy to shoulder the politics for the team, removing that burden from Hunter so they could keep to themselves. But today, you could really do without it.
You looked over at Hunter and Crosshair’s bunks, the former sleeping up top with an arm over his eyes. Probably to block out the few small coloured lights on the ship that shone from critical systems, preventing the room from being truly pitch black. You didn’t envy Hunter’s enhanced senses, they seemed to cause him quite a bit of discomfort when they weren’t on missions. You should probably pick him up an eye mask one of these days.
Below him, Crosshair slept with his back to the open room. One of the few times you ever saw his body relaxed was when he slept. You cringed as you remembered yesterday’s awkwardness with the sniper and mentally cursed at yourself for causing, what was, an easily avoidable situation.
Shaking your head you jumped silently off of your bunk, mindful to not wake any of the batch. You gently removed Tech’s goggles, placing them in their usual spot before moving over to grab some fresh robes and head for the fresher. Today was going to be a real drag.
—————————————————
“Hey! Look what the Lothcat dragged in” someone called after you as you trudged up the steps to the GAR Headquarters. You turned around to see none other than Anakin Skywalker jogging up behind you.
“Nice to see you too Skyguy” he chuckled at the nickname as he threw an arm around your shoulders.
You fell into companionable chatter as you made your way to your first meeting, the dark halls of the military headquarters looking indistinguishable as you attempted to find the correct room. Members of the Coruscant Guard patrolled the halls, nodding politely to you both as you strolled past.
Eventually you found the room where Mace, Plo and Luminara were waiting, along with some clone and human high command. You stood outside the door for a moment, readying yourself to seal your fate of being talked at for a solid eight standard hours.
Eventually you caved, mostly as you were on the verge of being late if you debated standing outside any longer. Begrudgingly, you sat through briefing after briefing. All the voices and different rooms blending into one grey blur as you tried to take in what information you could, but your tired and stressed mind was having none of it.
While it was nice to catch up with some of the other Jedi, you always felt a bit out of place among the perfect members of the council. More so now than ever.
You ended up wandering back to the temple with Anakin where you both retired to his room and you flopped down onto his simple bed with a whine.
“Okay, what’s going on? You’ve been off all day” Anakin was the closest thing you had to a brother, you trained as Padawans together and due to your similar age you became fast friends. You knew about his marriage to Padme and decided that if you could offload your dilemma on anyone, it’d be him.
“I fucked up” you groaned out from behind your hands.
“What’d you do?” Anakin replied in a playful tone.
“I might’ve got a bit hot and heavy with one of the clones in my squad, led him on and then cut it off” Anakin raised an eyebrow at your confession. “And now he’s pissed at me”
“Why?” You weren’t entirely sure which part of that entire thing he was questioning.
“Because I started the whole thing, I wanted it. Then all of a sudden I did that whole guilty Jedi, must follow every word of the order thing, gave him some pathetic look which said really sorry I can’t have attachments mate, hope you understand. He called me out on it before I could even utter the banthashit excuse and then he stomped off and hasn’t spoken to me since.”
“In his defence, seems like he was probably wound a little tight” Anakin replied with a chuckle which you just groaned at.
“He has every right to be pissed. Hells, I would be if the roles were reversed. Whats with this whole self-righteous act us Jedi have going on?”
“Look, it’s hard being a Jedi at the best of times. It takes an inhumane amount of self-control, which is why its not a path for the weak. But being a Jedi while at war… it’s a lot. You’re emotions are running high, you’re forming bonds with soldiers on the battlefield that you shouldn’t be, but none of us can help it because it’s uncharted territory. Maker knows I’d hunt down anyone who hurt Obi-Wan or my Captain. Yes, It’s not the Jedi way, but neither is fighting a grand-scale war.” Anakin’s eyes were alive with emotion as he spoke, be he quickly caught himself and then it was gone.
“My point is, don’t beat yourself up so much. No one is getting kicked out the order or in his case reconditioned if that’s what you’re worried about. Figure out what it is you want, and then just be discreet about it” you looked at Anakin like he’d grown two heads, he just winked at your confused stare.
“Okay let’s keep it simple. Are you attracted to him?” You thought back to the night before and firmly nodded in response.
“Do you like him as a person?” You pondered his question.
“Well, it’s Cross. I wasn’t sure if he even liked me for a long time. He’s closed off, anti-social, but he’s also a good guy, cares about his brothers, has saved my ass multiple times, and he is kinda funny in his own, snide way” you rattled off with fondness in your words.
“Well then I suggest you go and talk to him.” Anakin replied, giving you a knowing look when he spotted the small smile on your lips as you spoke about the sniper.
You took a deep breath, glad to have finally gotten that off your chest and feeling content that you now knew what to do next. “Thanks, Ani”
“Ugh please don’t call me that” he moaned back, apparently only Padme was allowed to get away with that one.
————————————————
Your walk back to the Marauder felt like it dragged on and on. Your brain ran over a thousand scenarios of what to say, how he’d react and you were about to short circuit. There was so much risk, so much possibility, that you did your best to shut your mind off and let yourself handle it in the moment. These things never went as planned anyway, it was best not to guess.
The large door to the ship hissed open, your boots clanking on the metal surface as you cautiously walked into your home. It didn’t take you long to find Crosshair, he was sat in the main hull methodically cleaning his hand blaster. Everyone else must’ve been asleep. He was just in his blacks, the material hugging him in the most wonderful way, it’s like whoever designed those things was trying to trip you up. The contours of his arm muscles flexing as he worked, his strong chest looked practically chiselled at the heart of his lean frame. You had to force yourself to calm down a little bit.
“Uh, hey” you greeted awkwardly. “Mind if I join you?”
You took his silence as a well he’s not saying no. He didn’t spare you a glance as you walked in and took a seat opposite him. As a General in the GAR, you rarely got nervous. War, as a concept, was simple. You knew your purpose, your objective, you had a job to get done and you’d do it. The risks never stopped you, rather they fuelled you. Probably why you’re such a good fit for the bad batch.
But this right now, personal feelings, not knowing where you stand with someone you care about. Because if you were honest, you really did care about Crosshair, the same as you did the rest of the team. You’d only been with the squad just under a year but you’d gladly lay down your life for any of them in a heartbeat. If you could at least get back to where you were before the other night, you’d be over the moon.
You weren’t used to being so nervous, you let your hands fiddle with you dark Jedi robes as you readied yourself to speak again.
“Look, I’m not here to throw some crap about being a Jedi at you, I promise. And I’m sorry for trying it before” he still didn’t look at you, finding his blaster much more interesting. But you could tell he was listening, you had his attention. Might as well keep babbling.
“In terms of an explanation for what happened yesterday, well I guess I panicked.” You sighed as you tried to find the next words “The way you made me feel that night, I… I’ve never felt like that before and everything i’d been taught over the years screamed at me that what I was doing was dangerous and wrong. I now realise that I’m just an idiot. I make my own decisions and I… uh -well, I stick by that one, starting something that is.” Still nothing.
“I know this is probably a long shot. But in the interest of being transparent” you rambled “uh… if you want to go down that road again, I’m up for seeing what happens, can be as casual as we like. I promise I won’t freak out on you again.” You chuckled and thought you almost spotted a slight pull in the corner of Crosshair’s lips “But if you want to go back to how we were before, I’d also really like that.” You watched him for a while as he gave no acknowledgement of your words, his cleaning finished as he now gave the weapon a once over in his hands. Having said everything you needed, you got up from your seat, looking away from him.
“Well, if I can do anything else, let me know” you turned on your heel to leave, feeling slightly defeated but glad you’d at least made the first step.
“I could think of a few things” he finally spoke as he leaned back into his seat and continued to stare at his blaster, still not meeting your gaze.
Well that caught your attention, you turned back around to face him as he carried on ignoring you. While his tone was unbothered as he spoke, you knew him just enough to know his words held a meaning. He was playing with you, back to his usual teasing and you could’ve laughed at the relief that washed over you. This you could work with. A cheeky idea popped into your head and you’d decided to run with it.
“Oh really?” Throwing caution to the wind, you strode over to the sniper slowly. His gaze finally meeting yours after all this time, watching you as you got closer and closer. Practically drawing you in with his amber eyes. You pushed him back by his chest, creating enough room so you could straddle his lap. “Care to elaborate?”
He huffed out a short laugh at your words, his face overall unbothered but his eyes, they were burning into you. “You’re a smart girl, I’m sure you’ll figure it out”.
You hummed in response, deciding to kick things up a notch you wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing your faces just breaths apart. “Something like this?” You asked, pausing for another second before bringing your lips to his in a surprisingly soft and gentle kiss. You felt his hands come up to rest on your back, pulling you closer as you continued your slow dance. This was so different from the other night, where before there was desperation and lust, now there was something more… tender, passionate. You were quite glad you weren’t standing as the way he moved against you would’ve definitely made your knees weak.
Dragging yourself away from his lips, you searched his face. His mouth pulled into a barely there smirk “That’s a start.”
“Who said I was finished?” And just like that, the last few strands of tension between you both snapped and you relaxed in his arms. You fisted your hands into the front of his blacks and pulled him back to you, his tongue slipped between your lips, curious and demanding. He was everywhere again, filling your nose with the scent of the standard cheap GAR soap but mixed with something earthy, something so distinctly Crosshair and you couldn’t get enough.
You could tell why the Jedi order frowned upon such activities, kissing Crosshair was intoxicating. You couldn’t think of anything else other than the handsome clone in front of you and just how much you wanted him in that moment.
His hands wandered lower and lower down you back until they rested comfortably on your backside, pulling you further up his lap. Feeling mischievous, you started trailing kisses along his jaw. Setting a teasing, languid pace as you mapped out the spots that made him squirm. Crosshair was never a man of many words, so you made it your mission to see just how vocal you could make him.
As your lips met his pulse point, he gave a loud exhale and you smirked in victory against his skin as you continued the onslaught on his senses. You definitely seemed to be doing something right as his hands found themselves in your hair, clutching slightly and you couldn’t help the soft moan that escaped you. Even while trying to gain the upper hand in the situation, he always had some control over you. It was maddening in the best way, setting your veins alight with desire.
Determined to get another victory you traced your tongue against the base of the side of his neck and trailed it all the way up to the bottom of his ear, which you teasingly took into your mouth, teeth grazing the soft skin. A strangled moan escaped the clone and that was the moment where you knew you were hopelessly and utterly gone. Your mind filled with nothing other than wanting to be closer to Crosshair.
“Not very Jedi of you” he commented, slightly breathless when you finally stopped teasing him and came back up to meet his eyes. Looking down at where your bodies were pressed against one another, you chuckled.
“What exactly about this situation led you to believe I was ever a model Jedi?” You smirked, though it was only visible for a second before his mouth was back on yours, devouring you as his hands greedily roamed your body.
You continued making out like teenagers for most of the evening, taking the time to explore each other, enjoying the closeness. Contentment settled over your body, almost as if this was were you were meant to be. If Crosshair’s arms were where you belonged, well, you could think of worse places to be.

Note
Can we get a fic where the bad batch is on a mission and they find a SUPER shy 16 year old girl (the reader) who lost her parents in the war. The men take the reader with them and take care of her. But they don’t know that the reader has been trained in advanced martial arts her entire life and they find this out when the reader takes out a bunch of droids by herself. The bad batch take the reader in as their little sister in the end.
kinda long, i hope thats okay, and as always i really hope you enjoy it!
You’re found underneath a mountain made of rumble, mud, water and ash. The Bad Batch takes hours moving debris for Wrecker to pull you out of a still smoking room that was once your family's apartment.
Your people were an interesting folk, training their young in intense forms of defensive combat. You could speak more languages than you could count on your fingers, and years of being taught anything and everything, one could consider you to be a perfect soldier. Except for the fact that your people dedicated themselves to the natural wonders of the universe and were neutral in every notable war the republic had ever seen.
The separatists did not see it that way.
“What do we do with it?” Crosshair asked when they returned to the camp, you haven't said a word. And clone force 99 was starting to wonder if you even spoke basic. So far you had only moved when necessary and they only realized you were even human once the dust, mud and blood had been cleared from your face.
“I think the ‘it’ is actually a ‘she’.” Tech corrects side-eyeing you from where you sit close to their fire.
“What are we going to do with she?” Crosshair repeated, annoyed. But enjoying the mumbling from his brother about ‘grammatical insolence.’ Wrecker and Tech both shrugged as Hunter sighed and took a plate of rations over to you.
“Hey, you need to eat.” He said pushing the plate towards you, watching as you watched the plate, but made no move towards it.
“Can you tell me your name?” Hunter asked, trying his hardest to sound not like a hardened military sergeant. He sees your lips move but can barely make out the sound that travels past them. “Can you just be a bit louder maybe?” He asks for the first time ever, given his enhanced hearing. He catches your name as it wisps by him, repeating it to make sure he’s got it right.
“Do you have anyone? Anyone off-world or that might still be…” He stops himself before the word ‘alive’. And you shake your head ‘no’ anyways. It’s only after Hunter gets up to leave that you slowly reach for the plate of food.
“She has to come with us.” Hunter relays to the group, who are keeping their distance from the shy young girl they’ve found. Each member nods, none of them seem to know what to do with you, but they know you’re safest with the Bad Batch.
It takes weeks before any of them hear your voice, your real voice. So far you’ve stuck to mumbles, nods and hand gestures. No one seems to mind, except for when you make Wrecker jump out of his skin when you seemingly appear out of nowhere.
“Crosshair you di'kut!” Tech shouts one morning running into the main area of the Havoc Marauder. Everyone has to suppress a chuckle at the sound of Huttese coming from his helmet. “How in the kriff am I supposed to fix this?” Tech throws his hands in the air, slamming his bucket on the table.
“Would you like me to fix it?” You offer from your corner of the ship. Stunning everyone into silence. “I am fluent in huttese.” You explain reaching for Tech's helmet, and matching holopad. No one says anything as you tap a few things and place it back down.
“Thank you, mirdala.” Tech says in awe. Opting to compliment you in mando’a rather than basic as to not make you uncomfortable.
“I also speak mando’a.” You add, looking at him with a smile.
“Kandosii'la!” He exclaims happily, “nice to finally have some more brains around here.” Tech smiles at you while his brothers come over the shock of hearing your voice properly for the first time.
After that morning things begin to shift a little bit. The batch takes to calling you mirdala as a nickname and constant compliment. (And to try and get you out of the sarlacc pit of shyness you live in.) And you slowly start to chat rather than just talk with the men you find yourself in the company of. Yet you still don’t talk about your home at all, eventually they stop asking. Until one day Hunter presses a small blaster into your hands while the five of you are standing on the ramp of the marauder.
“Just a precaution, this place shouldn't be  dangerous. But I'd rather you have it and not need it then need it and not have it.” He tells you, and places a hand on your shoulder. “Know how to use it?” You nod, flipping it around in your hand, it’s foreign and familiar all at once. The click of the safety sounds a bit janky and the hilt is slightly off kilter. Hunter watches you inspect the blaster with the precision of a GAR clone.
“Thank you.” You say to him, tucking it away, and following the group off the ramp and into the market.
It takes all of one half of an hour for all hell to break loose. One battalion of droids verses one bad batch’s Wrecker didn’t exactly go well, the two of you attacked from behind unsuspectingly leading him into throwing you onto the nearest roof and going through the droids one by one. You hear the whir of commando droids before you see them and take off, launching yourself onto the next roof as blaster bolts rush by. Running through the second market that rests on the rooftops of the one below you dash between stalls, people and droids as you scramble away. One last jump into what you think is the side of a building but is actually air covered by a mass of cloth sends you into the  ground below winding you.
“Mirdala!” Crosshair shouts in surprise as you seem to literally fall from the sky above him. This brief distraction allows for a droid to take a shot at him and you know he’s too preoccupied to save you.
That's fine, you don’t need saying anyways.
Falling into a fighting stance is so familiar to your muscles, you could close your eyes and you’d be back in your training centre. It feels so real you can almost smell it. Elbows and feet fly, echoes of advice ring in your ears. ‘Your elbows carry power, your feet are the most important weapons, stance is everything.” At this point the blaster is basically useless, you’re the weapon Hunter wished you didn’t need. And so when Crosshair barrels into you, throwing the two of you behind a crate as a detonator goes off, you both face plant into the ground.
“You okay Mirdala?” Tech asks pulling you off the ground, dusting your shoulders off.
“Where is everyone?” You ask worriedly looking around for everyone, once you see Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair near you, you begin to calm down. Wrecker comes over to you looking far too happy for a man who was just in battle.
“That was amazing Mirdala! Shoulda seen ‘er Sarge!” He says nudging Hunter harshly. You can’t help but blush as Wrecker rentals how you flew from building to building. Letting Crosshair summarize your skills with ‘she fights well.’ (Before taking over and gushing about you again.)
You’re sitting outside as the sunsets, being alone is preferable right now. Today was, for lack of a better term, a lot. But of course, naturally, the Batch joins you.
“You ever gunna open up to us mirdala?” Hunter bluntly asks, looking scared and worried. You nod but stop yourself, pushing the shyness for a verbal answer.
“Yes, just not used to it.” it's a short answer, much shorter than it should be. But it’s a small win and Hunter is happy for it.
“I researched your home world, were you going to tell us about your skills?” Tech asks, eyes meeting yours.
“I thought it was normal.” You explain, looking around for others before sighing. “I’ve never been off-world before, not even outside of my city. This is very unusual for me.” You say trying to explain that your people keep to themselves even where they're around those they trust.
“What else can you do?” Wrecker chimes in, curious as ever. But adds “never mind” when Crosshair elbows him.
“You’re trained like us...” The sniper says, catching the curves of a small smile beginning when he says this. “Vod’ika.” He adds slowly, careful to watch your face to make sure he didn't upset you.
“Come out of your shell vod’ika, our shell most certainly has room for one more.” Hunter says, looking not at you but at the setting suns of the planet.
“I always wanted a little sister!” Wrecker encourages with an excited hop. You turn to Tech waiting for his take on the situation.
“Makes logical sense.” He teases, putting his helmet over your head. “Fits well, looks good vod’ika.” The helmet doesn't fit at all, flopping from side to side as you look around.
“Sounds good to me ori'vod.” you say with a lopsided smile on your face. As the suns finally start to  turn into stars.
“Aliit ori'shya tal'din” Hunter says, prompting his brother to repeat it after him.
“Family is more than blood.” You translate to basic stunning at the touching words.
“Come lil’ sister. It’s kriffing cold out here.” Crosshair says getting up off the ground, Wrecker immediately scrambles to piggyback you to the ship. The five of you teasing each other and laughing all the way.

Bad Batch 1x01 spoilers
I've never done something like this before, but I figured I'd start. Reactions to the first episode of The Bad Batch. (This ended up being a lot longer than I intended, but whatever)
Spoilers under the cut
Red logo burning away starts strong
Yay narrator dude!!
Feels like clones wars
Animated rots scenes!!
And what grevious did after the rots beginning
HOLY SHIT DEPA!!!!!
And caleb right???
And we're in
Omg who voiced young caleb bc it sounds a lot like fpj but aged down and he def doesn't sound like the 14 I know he was when this happened
I like how we started out on familiar characters but not ahsoka or anyone from tcw. We started w young kanan and his master and we know what happened to them and all but if anyone watching hasn't seen rebels they wouldn't be lost as to who caleb and depa are, they'd just assume they're random jedi in o66
Good ol droid screaming as it falls off a cliff
Wow. Them.
I love crosshair
And wrecker
And tech
And echo
And hunter
B1's are so dumb
Lmao the salt from hunter
I feel like depas forehead pearls are a bit unrealistically large but I have no cultural standpoint to really know so...
Caleb's voice is too deep in the same way that jack frost from rotg's voice doesn't match his character model
Ah wrecker not really knowing what she means and echo, the one who has been trained to deal w people and hung out w ani and obi is just like 'thanks general'
Obes kenobes mention
Why is echo so pale
Depa and caleb feel a little too pale too tbh I wonder if it's the lighting or the whitewashing
Wow caleb is a lot like ezra, I can see why kanan wanted to train him lol
Is this what separates caleb and depa, leading to her telling him to run??? Do I need to read dume???
Oh no
Noooooooooo
Bb didn't get the order!
Oh caleb nooooo! Nooooooo they didn't receive that order, they can help you!!!
And he's gone
Oh I need an au where caleb stayed with bb and they helped him after depa died
Hunter sounds so much like rex it's weird like ik they're supposed to sound the same but it feels like wrecker is replacing rex or something. Even tho ik rex's story is over for the time being
Crosshair, no! Don't shoot at him! He's baby
Oh no did crosshair get o66???? It didn't seem to trigger anything in any of the rest of them, but is crosshair close enough to 'reg' for it to have triggered???
😭😭good soldiers follow orders
"sure thing, boss" "hey hunter got a sitch"
Crosshair acting sus
Oh I love watching padawans fight, they're so good!!
I hope that hit to the tree did a lil cognitive recalibration for crosshair, he was acting crazy
Caleb looks so scared!! He just watched his master get gunned down by his friends and now strange clones are trying to kill him/confusing him
Oh caleb
Oh no crosshair don't try to kill him!! Hunters trying to help!
Also hunter doesn't sound as much like rex w the helmet off, but it's weird bc most of the clones are distinguishable by voice even w helmets on. I guess it's the 'im in charge' voice
Star wars if caleb had gone w the bb
Oh hunter u sly dog lying to crosshair so he doesn't go after him. U gotta figure out why crosshair responded to o66 and no one else in ur unit did
Oh crosshair knows he's been lied to
I will always love coming-out-of-hyperspace shots
Ooh kamino, always nice this time of year
Echo is done w wrecker
Why hasn't crosshair taken his helmet off yet, lil bit sus
They better get his chip out on kamino, I don't wanna deal w this
Oof hunter
Oh who’s that, giving me cloud city vibes
Extreme cloud city vibes wow
Never realized how many clones are just on kamino
Coruscant guard?!?! FOX?!?!
The vibes here, omg
‘The war is over’ wow
Oh no who was that
A female jedi, doesn’t appear to be shaak, couldn’t see any montrals but never know, we don’t officially know how or where she died
Ok wow none of the bb has their helmets on except for crosshair, who got the order. The regs around kamino all have their helmets on. That scene in victory and death when ahsoka took rex’s helmet off-
And crosshair, he’s actins strange too
Oh tech, do u guys get bullied by regs a lot??
I love their barracks
Lol he finally took his helmet off only to stick a toothpick in his mouth, can he get anymore cliched?
Wrecker is seeming a lot more infantilized than he was in the s7 eps...
Yeah crosshair’s being sus
Ooh, he shifted his toothpick
Lmao ‘what programming’
Well documented my ass
Tech’s speech patterns are so stiff and robotic, it’s like he has to remind himself to talk in basic instead of binary or some shit
Tech throwing shade at crosshair
I can’t quite tell if we’re supposed to like crosshair at this point
Lmao we been knew
Oop ‘more machine than man’ the vader parallels are serving folks
Understatement.
Ugh sheev
Crusty ass bitch
Straight from rots wow
Who is the mystery child and why does he look mandalorian
Ooh he gone
Oh no, the beninning of the empire
Cheering?? Why?!?
That imperial march fade in tho
Thank you echo
Oh shit mystery child is female
Omega, I would not have guessed the pronunciation of your name by reading it wow
She def seems mandalorian
Ugh kaminoans
Oh the kaminoan pronounced it as it usually is, huh.
Omega’s character model def seems more masculine than female, I now headcanon her as trans
Ugh tarkin, I hate that crusty bitch
Empire politics ugh
I love how much shade is being thrown at tarkin and his stormtrooper proposal lmao
Why do all these clones have the standard haircut?? ik them boys like their variety, even if these boys are still under o66′s programming
Wrecker you’re being extremely loud
They’re all being loud in the mess, why
They remember, kid
Lol child
Oh my sweet summer children
The dad instinct was clearly passed genetically from jango lol all these clones got it
Why are background characters so mean? What about it, shiny? Why is ur hair regulation, reg??
The Sad Batchn omg the slander
Lol the food fight I’ve read about in the fics, its finally happening!
Is she.... australian??
The over-animation of character movements in this is reminding me of the looser style of rebels, as opposed to the more clunky style of tcw
Lmao he’s still got food on him
Food fight!!
‘Not again’???!!! Echo!! Wdym not again?! Food fights have happened before?!?? Wait. W bb or w torrent, bc I can see torrent having food fights on the resolute-
Crosshair’s just eating his food until someone messes
I like how echo still has his kamas
Oh no echo!!
Oh echo’s trauma, he doesn’t trust medical droids! Where’s kix when u need him, huh?
Lol, comically long name for a robot trope is alive and well, huh
Lmao the droid lowers his voice like ik this is a perceived bad thing, but I will not tolerate this slander, boys u need to get off kamino
‘The shock’ lmao whyyy
Lmao tech!!
Oh, echo recognized tarkin from the citadel!
‘When you blew up’ lmao
Oh they make me sad
Aaaaah fox!
Man the domino squad nostalgia
Those droids look cool
This is a neat scene, I like seeing them in action
Wrecker reminding me of hevy, but he’s got the training and success to back it up
Live fire???? No!!
Ugh I hate tarkin
Oh no wtecker
Did he just get shot!???!
Oh no crosshair, be careful!
Tarkin’s trying to kill them!!!
Lol wrecker I love you
Echo using his mech hand as a weapon, truly an arc
Now I wanna see what happened on felucia
I like how tech’s just sitting on the droid’s shoulders
And hunter just had a knife
These boys, I love them
Oh no tech bby
Hot damn that was cool
Wrecher things so too lmao
Tarkin’s like “why didn’t that work??’
Oh new baby clones
No tf they could not, they would never serve the empire and those bitches
I love that they have a window apartment lol
Ugh tarkin u shifty
They all stand at attention, only after glaring at tarkin
Oh no onderon
I hate tarkin, he’s a bitch
How quickly could bitch lord and darth sad have replaced the armory on kamino??
Crosshair still acting sus
Neither does echo, kid
No.
I like omega.
Crosshair, with the sassy hand on the hip-
What does that even mean?? Or elude to??
Lmao tech messing w wrecker, they rlly r bros
Its prob the vegetation
Oh, I missed onderon, but not this much
Lol the put-upon sigh
Its clearly saw and his rebels
Saw! Looking sharp, what’s w the hair....
That’s a very geometric beard, saw
They didn’t kill any jedi!
That’s not what happened, tech
‘The clones’ bitch that was rex and ahsoka, check urself
Aw, I’ve always like the design of imperial probe droids
Thank you, echo
It seems like crosshair’s o66 programming and his mutation are warring w his morals
Lmao the shade
I knew she was an enhanced clone!
Oh, so she is (at least on paper) trans! She’s a clone of jango, and yet she’s female! That must be her modification, but it makes me wonder why
Lol *flicks toothpick*
Aw, they have a picture of themselves! Recent-ish, too, its got echo!
Oh no, AZI!
The difference between them arriving earlier and now, the lack of escort...
Creepy how they had to open the hanger door themselves
Oh no! Everyone!
The coruscant guard, I wish they had gotten better
Tarkin u dramatic bitch
‘The brig’ this ain’t some tallship
Lol echo that shade
Their blacks are different from the ones seen in the past
Crosshair, stop being a bitch
Oh, I don’t like that phrase!! And the fact that crosshair screamed it in echo’s face makes me uneasy. Did rex fill echo in on why fives died?? I hope so...
Crosshair, ur chip hurting??
This child, I like her.
No! Don’t hit hunter!
No crosshair!!!!
I dislike this immensly
So they do still have inhibitor chips!
Tarkin you monster
Oh poor crosshair
ihatethisihatethisihatethis
Lol tech I love you
Wrecker you sweet pea
Lol that’s adorable
I love how they form a “wall” its so suspicious
He was about to say that, omega
Aaww, echo protective boi
Wrecker shut up tf
That was cool
Sneaky bois
This reminds me of rex and ahsoka sneaking around in v&d
Echo runs so stupid
Oh no they winter soldier’d him!
If he says who the hell is crosshar, I will lose my shit
Yes, he has. They took it from him.
The toothpick
I wonder how they’re gonna get crosshair back to normal
Not good that they nabbed the sniper
Oh, crosshair shot him in the same place he got hit during training!
Ooh, a kaminoan on their side!
I hope omega doesn’t die
Poor trigger etiquette, crosshair
Wonder if omega has any speciality training
They’re just gonna leave him there!?!?!?!?!
Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!
Omega reminds me of young boba
Oh, so its in her dna
Go back for crosshair!!
Holy fucking shit that was amazing! I didn’t expect it to be that long, but I’m not complaining! This ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated, but I don’t feel like cutting anything out, so sorry for the long post but at least I put it under a cut.

Request:  Hello! Any chance we can get a one shot/fic where the reader speaks a foreign language besides English, and the Bad Batch decides to teach her how to speak English? They give the reader daily lessons on speaking the English language and help her practice her English speaking skills
This is a cute idea, I just hope I did it justice...and hopefully google translate translated everything correctly? I studied french briefly, but I remember practically nothing...translations are located at the bottom of the fic.
Length: 1757 Words
Tumblr media
When Commander Cody had called them in for a protection detail, Hunter had assumed it would be like any other detail the Batch had ever done. Go in, establish a contact with their charge, follow them around until the threat could be eliminated or deescalated, and then be on their way to some peaceful planet until the next job came through.
You weren’t like any other charge however...and by the sounds of it you’d be stuck with them for a long time.
“They have valuable information about the separatists.” Cody explained, “They came from a separatist's controlled planet and left everything behind in order to help the Republic. But now the planet authorities, the separatist council and the sith are after her.”
“Why can’t you just get the information and put them into safe housing?” Tech inquired.
“Well...we can’t really understand them.” Cody said, looking over to you.
You looked confusedly between the men in front of you, their language strange and foreign in your ears...what were they talking about?
“Peut-être qu'un droïde peut traduire?” You said, interrupting the men’s conversation.
Cody smiled sheepishly.
“You see...we have very little information about their planet or their language...the Republic destroyed most of it’s history after it aligned with the Separatists.” Cody explained, “We had a translation droid on it’s way, but they only have limited phrases in their databanks.”
“So why did you call us in?” Crosshair glared.
“Tech may be able to decipher the language and report back to us. He was the only person I could think of that may be able to help.” Cody said, “Plus, you guys can be her security detail. Just take her with you, decipher her information and then we can find safe housing for her until the end of the war.”
“The Commander is right...there’s not a lot of information about the language, but I think i’ll be able to figure it out eventually.” Tech said.
“Well then. I guess  we’re on the job.” Hunter stated.
*
The strange goggled man had managed to explain to you that they were your protector’s and had you accomony you back to the ship...that was only a few days ago and you were starting to get sick of everything.
“Les séparatistes construisent une nouvelle usine de droïdes, avec de nouveaux droïdes que vous n'avez jamais vus. Ils sont grands et dangereux ... ils peuvent détruire des villages entiers.” You urged.
“What is she saying Tech?” Hunter asked.
The strange man with the bandanna seemed to be the mediator, knowing exactly when you were about to lunge across the table to strangle the goggled man when he misunderstood your words.
“Droids...something about droids. I’m assuming a factory...but...” The goggled man said.
“Apprend moi! Apprend moi-e-english.” You willed your tongue to conform to the strange lanquage.
“English?” Crosshair asked. “She just spoke our language.”
“You want us to teach you english?” Wrecker asked.
You excitedly pointed to the big guy.
“Oui!” You exclaimed excitedly. “Teach-English.”
“That may be able to work better...” Tech said. “If we can teach her our language, she would be able to tell us exactly what she needs to...and even if that prove’s difficult, learning some of our words in her language may help me decipher things faster.”
“Great now we’re teachers? Count me out.” Crosshair groaned, walking away from the table.
“What do you think sir?” Tech looked to Hunter.
“Let’s teach her.” Hunter said.
*
The week’s flew by as you began your teachings.
The first lesson Tech had completed with you was important item’s, like food, water, and feelings, you were able to tell them now if you wanted a ration pack, or needed some water.
“Je suis fatigue.” You smiled to the goggled man, who’s name was not in fact goggled man but actually Tech.
“English please.” Tech smiled back.
You still had a habit of slipping into your language, especially when you began to get tired, or get super excited.
“Désolée, I am tired?” You apologized before raising your arms up by your head in a sleeping motion.
“Yes, it’s been a long day. We should get some rest.” Tech replied.
The Batch had landed on a simple planet on the outer rim. White sandy beaches and warm weather greeted you when you went for a walk in the mornings. The water was crystal clear, and you could see little fish swimming by the shore.
The next morning you went out for your walk, and in the distance you saw one of the Batch sitting in the sand cleaning his gun.
The silver haired clone looked up at you as you approached.
“Bonjour.” You waved.
Crosshair sighed.
“It means good morning.” You explained. “But perhap’s your morning is bad.”
You had become friends with most of the Batch, Hunter was patient with you, Tech was always eager to learn and teach, and Wrecker was just a big gentle giant. Every day you grew closer and closer with the batch.
Hug’s were a constant with you, constantly thanking them with a quick hug. And they had even begun to reciprocate those hug’s when you learned something new or memorized a statement.
But Crosshair had distanced himself from you very early on.He wasn’t willing to listen to you try to speak english, nor listen to any of your language. It seemed like he was always upset with you for one reason or another.
And as you grew closer and closer with the others, he grew farther and farther.
“No...it’s not bad.” The man said. “Go ahead and sit.”
You smiled brightly at him as he pat the ground next to him and you eagerly sat down before shuffling closer to him.
“Your awfully close.” Crosshair grunted, pulling back a bit.
You tilted your head.
“Close.” He explained, poking your shoulder and then touching his.
“I need space.” He said widening his hands futher.
Ah...he was feeling crowded by you. You moved back some.
“Thanks.”
“Merci.” You replied. “That’s what you just said to me...it means Thank you.”
“Well then...merci.” He said.
“You do not- your uncomfortable with me.” You said, trying to explain in his language.
Crosshair glanced up from his gun.
“No.”
“You do not like me?” You asked.
“No thats not it either...” Crosshair grunted.
“Hmph.” You sighed. “I do not understand.”
Crosshair chuckled as he looked at you. Your arm’s we’re crossed tightly and your eyes narrowed as you looked out to the sea.
“It’s always been me and my brothers.” He said. “And then you came in.”
Your looked to him.
“I thought that even though you spoke a different language that Tech would be able to decipher it, get the information and you’d be gone like everyone else.” He explained, “Uh...you understand me right.”
“I have learned lot’s.” You explained, “Keep going...if I grow confused I will ask.”
“Right.” Crosshair answered. “Well...it’s been weeks and we havn’t even begun to report your info. But my Batch. My brothers, they’ve grown close to you. They’ve accepted you into our family.”
You nodded.
“But one day, your going to finally give out the information we need and then your going to be gone...and my brother’s will hurt. I will hurt.” Crosshair admitted.
Yes, Crosshair thought, despite pushing you and further away you had still found a place in his heart. You cared for his brothers...and for him. You had created food from your planet for them, helped fix things on the ship...you were a part of them.
“Well...she doesn’t have to go away.”
Crosshair turned, finding Hunter standing behind the two of you.
“What place is safer then with us. We know her language almost as much as she knows our’s. Cody will stick up for us...the best place for you is with us.” Hunter smiled at you.
“So no more push?” You asked, lightly pushing his shoulder.
“La famille reste solidaire. Tu es ma famille maintenant.” You said, “Family stick’s together. You are my family now.”
Crosshair smiled, ducking his head down to hide it from you.
*
The Batch stood behind you as you greeted the Jedi standing before you. Cody and his general, Obi-Wan Kenobi had met on Coruscant to confer with you.
“You have valuable information for us young one.”
“Yes I do.” You replied.
“There is a droid factory being built on a planet in the outer rim. The droid’s being build are not like any you have seen. They are bigger and meaner, they have the capabilities of taking out entire villages.” You explained.
“This is concerning.” Obi-Wan admitted. “But do you have any proof?”
“I can only offer you my word. But perhap’s sharing a fraction of my pain is enough. My own village was a test subject with the new droids, they tore it to shreds, they killed so many, I was lucky to make it out alive with my family. But that is when I knew I could not allow this to happen to anyone else.” You admitted.
“It is thanks to my new family.” You gestured behind you, “That I am able to tell you these things. They have worked hard to protect me and learn my language to translate...but they taught me even more with their language so that I could tell you myself.”
Obi-Wan brought a hand up to his beard, deep in thought.
“I will bring this to the council’s attention.” Obi-Wan stated. “I believe it is in your best interest-”
Everyone stiffened as you waited for his next words.
Was this it?
Would you lose your new family?
“-That you remain in protection with Clone Force 99.  They have done well...and I believe they will continue to do so.” Obi-Wan bowed to you and then took his leave.
“Very good work. I will contact you when I have new orders. Get some rest.” Cody smiled following his general.
Turning around you launched yourself into Hunter’s arms, the rest of the Batch joining in on the hug.
“I’m proud of you.” Hunter smiled.
“We all are.” Crosshair butted in.
“Well...I did have the best teachers.” You admitted. “But where are we going to go next?”
The Batch looked at each other before smiling.
“How about you decide this time?” Hunter said.
“Well, I heard about this planet, Naboo! I hear it’s absolutely perfect.” You said, following Wrecker and Crosshair as you began walking back to the Marauder.
“She fit’s right in.” Tech said.
“Think we could get some armor on her, teach her to shoot?” Hunter asked.
“Armor, yes. Shooting no. Crosshair already did that.”

Note
Can you do a fic for the bad batch where a mission goes horribly wrong, and Tech gives you chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth after a near death drowning? 😵Please, by all means, don't go light on the angst! 👿And also, make it long and sad. I want some emotion tonight.
-------------------------------------------------------- I'm not sure what gender you wanted the reader to be so I kept it gender-neutral, hope that's okay <3 Also, umm would not recommend anyone read this if they're sad, but since you did say near death, don't worry no one dies, I mean unless you want them too, I left the ending kinda open to interpretation... <.<  WARNINGS: Angst Drowning Injury -------------------------------------------------------- You're on a mission in the outer rim with the Bad Batch, a group of unique clones you had been asked to work with, during your time with them you grew closer to the one named Tech, always eager to hear what knew about all the places you traveled too, -- you had done many dangerous missions before, but somehow this one felt different. You're pinned down by a platoon of droids, attempting to call them for help but your signal is being jammed. "Come in, can anyone hear me, I need assistance now!" you yell into your com, hoping that someone would hear, but you knew it was a lost cause... They're not too far away from your location, grouping up after Hunter called them all back. "Has anyone heard from Y/N, they were supposed to check it some time ago," Hunter asks his brothers. "The signal is being jammed," Crosshair answers after attempting to reach you. "Based on the last location that was pinged to me, they shouldn't be too far away," Tech says pointing in the direction of your last know location. "What are we waiting for let's go!!!" Wrecker shouts running off in that direction. "Wrecker, wait we don't know the situation yet, we need a plan--" he attempts to call out to his brother who was ignoring him as he rushed away. "We should probably go after him," Crosshair says. They all chase after their brother, finding him before they get to your last location, sadly it wasn't your current location and things were getting worse by the minute. You'd been hit in the side of the arm, nothing bad but it wasn't exactly helpful in your current situation. You backed further away from the main group of droids, running off in an unknown direction to try and escape them, unaware of the danger ahead. They continue to follow you chasing you down as you neared a clearing, kriff, it wasn't just a clearing with no cover, but it was a dead-end with a sea below the nearby edge. As you turn around you see the droids closing in, but wait, you see some figures that weren't droids headed your way, finally! "Guys over here, I could use some help!" you shout as loud as you can waving at them.
"There!" Tech yells to his brothers pointing at you. They were up on a small hill not too far away from the area you were, as quickly as they could they started running to your location, but there was too much fire coming at them, reluctantly they took cover, ducking behind some nearby rocks and fallen trees. "At this rate, the droids will reach them before we do!" Tech says, clearly worried for your safety. "Sorry Tech but we don't have much of a choice right now," Hunter replies trying to shoot at the rows of droids now marching towards them. "We have to try!" Tech yells. "Tech, I know you're worried for Y/N's safety but right now I need you focused so we all make it out of here in enough pieces to save them." Reluctantly Tech agrees and continues blasting the droids, looking for any possibility of rescuing you. "What are they doing?! I NEED HELP!" you say to yourself, knowing full well they couldn't hear you. More and more droids approached you, forcing you closer to the edge of the cliff, Tech looking on in horror as your figured disappear behind a large group of droids. "Y/N!!" he yells unaware that you were still standing there blasting the droids. Suddenly you got a blaster shot to the gut, knocking you off your balance as the grenade you threw exploded, destroying enough droids so Tech could see you again, just enough so that he could see you stumble back from your injury and fall off the edge...this time to horrified to even say anything.
This time he ran, not caring about the droids or anything, but you, more droids start closing in on him until he's knocked down. "TECH,  GET IT TOGETHER!" Hunter shouts pinning his brother to the ground behind some cover. "We have to help them, let go of me!" he screams. "We know, but we have to clear these droids, we're no good to them if we're dead." Crosshair says sliding into nearby cover with Wrecker. "I'd rather be dead then leave them behind!" Tech said trying to escape the pin Hunter had him in. "Sorry brother but we'd rather not lose you too, trust me we'll get them, just help us out here and blast these damn clankers," Hunter says releasing Tech. It took him some time, just to catch his breath, after a few minutes he turned around to face the droids, finally helping his brothers take them out as they worked together clearing out all the droids. --Your fall down the cliff side didn't go as smoothly as you would have hoped, after landing on a small ledge you waited there hoping for rescue, sadly none came in time, as the edges of the ledge broke apart under your weight. After more waiting and panic, realizing your end might be near, the ledge gave out sending you plunging down the rocky cliff face. Hitting some smaller ledges on your way down to the watery end. Crashing into the water you fall deep enough to hit your head, knocking most of the air out of your lunges, which you had been saving to swim back up to the surface with. Short on breath and time, you struggle in the waves of the sea, thrashing your arms at the sky shining through the water above you, hoping you could reach it in time, or that someone would be there to get you if you didn't. No such luck was granted to you as water slowly filled your mouth as you desperately screamed for help beneath the waves, your arms grew weaker and your body heavier as you sank down, watching the light from your vision disappear as everything went dark and silent. As they reach the cliff face Tech's scanners pick up your single in the water. "No no, Y/N!" he yells unsure of what to do, the jump was too far. "Tech, over here," Hunter yells after finding a way down closer to the sea.
They traverse the rocky face all the way down to the bottom where the waves hit the large rocks, those same waves carrying your limp body towards that same shore. Desperately they looked around trying to find a safe way to enter the water which was become more violent. Suddenly Wrecker notices something in the waves and rushes over, seeing it was you, he was tall enough to safely move through dangerous waves, grabbing you and bringing you to the others. "Got em!" he shouts as he rushes you over to his brothers, gently placing you on the ground in front of Tech. Quickly he assessed what state you were in, scanning for internal damage and listening for a heartbeat, there was none, or maybe it was cover by the sound of his own, which was beating so hard from the thought of you dying. He places his hands on your chest pressing down in a rhythm to try and revive you, adding mouth-to-mouth to hopefully draw the water from your body. With each press of his hands, tears build in his eyes, his breathing becoming harder and heavier every time he placed his lips against yours. His brothers watched silently, unable to help, only hope... "Come on Y/N, come on, please --- please, wake up!" Tech cried, freeing the tears in his eyes as he begged for you to come back putting his lips against yours hoping his breath might bring you back. Your lips were still soft, but mostly cold, except for the warmth that his own brought to yours.
--After a few more minutes of no luck, he finally broke, no more strength left to push and no more breath left to give you, collapsing down next to you, his head falling on you as he sobbed. His brothers joining him, placing their hands on his back to comfort him.
"I'm sorry...Tech," Hunter whispers as he kneels down next to his brother. Somehow you could hear the sobbing, but you couldn't answer, just listen, listen to the pain as his tears rolled down your body, stinging as they hit the blaster injury, his hand clenching yours, the warmth escaping from his hands as his body shivered against yours. "Y/N please, please, don't leave us...don’t leave me," he sobs, his words muffled by the fabric of your outfit.
-Suddenly you feel your breathing being answered as some air enters your nose and lungs, causing you to cough, desperately trying not to choke on the water that had swallowed you up once already.
Tech and the others jumped in shock as your body jolted from the coughing, they rolled you on your side hitting your back to help free the water from you. -Your panicking, panicking that you won't get all the water out, panicking that it'll just stop everything, again.
Barely you make out Tech kneeling in front of you, attempting to comfort you as you finally let go of the rest of the water that was haunting you.
With your final cough, you whimper out his name, "Tech..." "Y/N! Y/N, you're okay, you're alive," he says pulling you up and against his chest, holding you tightly in his arms, as he continued sobbing, causing tears to run down your own face as your vision went black again and your body went limp in his arms.

How do you think the others would react if they were in Crosshairs shoes? Would they all bounce like he did the moment they find out about the baby? Or would the talk things through?
Hey I absolutely live for these asks where I get to talk to you guys and I cannot express how much I love this.
OH.
Ohhhh.
Brainstorm time.
No, I don’t think they would all bail like Crosshair did. I don’t think any of them would have the kind of knee-jerk reaction at any point during, even if they are all centralized around this gut-twisting apprehension that comes naturally with the news. I do however think they each would require their own lengths of time to really let it settle and soak in. Of course, given the circumstances, Cross literally had NO time to prepare, no gentle reveal or prior signs or anything to gradually ease him into the transition. In the span of several seconds it goes from just he and Verd (who just reunited after some length of time apart, mind you) to he and Verd plus one—a fully formed, very much alive baby that Verd all of a sudden pulls from her poncho like a damn Kangaroo. (I’ve missed you/Here’s your kid)
That being said, let’s get into the other guys and their own reactions:
Hunter— I’ve actually kind of touched on this in my happy-Hunter-AU-domestic-fic-I’m-too-chicken-shit-to-link-here, but I feel like Hunter would have his suspicions at the very earliest point, before the S/O even suspects a thing herself. He’s not well-versed in pregnancy or the human female body, he just knows something’s up (thanks, sharky senses) and isn’t quite sure how to approach the matter. So he just kind of squirms and scrutinizes in silence until news breaks and the first emotion he really experiences is damn relief because yes he’s not crazy and he can now put a finger on what’s been making him feel like such. He then swallows that thick lump of fear rising in his throat, because there’s no place for that here. He smiles, he’s happy; truly. He’s not spilling over with emotion but that comes at a later time. He’s quick to murmur reassurances to the S/O when her growing trepidations become painfully evident. He probably cracks a joke or two and pats himself on the back for being so astute. Definitely tries to keep the uplift. Supportive from the get-go, which is very instinctive for Hunter. Doesn’t talk about his side of the anxieties much throughout, but I imagine he’d find them to slowly ebb over time as things progress. Out of all the Bad Batchers, I’d say the overall experience is most intimate with Hunter, who feels very deeply in a very literal sense.
Wrecker— Would exhibit eagerness right off the bat. While the others initially experience an apprehension that gradually paves the way for more positive emotions, it’s reversed here for Wrecker. He initially feels elated, his fears and doubts manifesting only after he comes down from his joyful high. Once he sits on the realization however, he’s actually terrified because of his massive build, and there for awhile he can’t see anything past his own bulky, destructive nature. But we all know Wrecker is a softie and actually quite tender, which is something he really gets to discover and cultivate in himself once he holds the baby. Once he’s able to make it up and past that precipice, there’s no stopping him. He’s this enthusiastic, hands-on parent abounding with an endless supply of energy, which proves to be extremely helpful to the S/O when they just need a nap.
Tech— The resident genius is a trick. Is somewhat... taken aback by the news. It’s almost comical the way his gears turn so overtly as he processes. Has to eventually be prodded to elicit any response because he just kind of zones out to deduce and calculate everything. From there on out, I imagine Tech makes it his sole priority to educate himself and S/O and keep everyone well-informed. The only time he’d want to bail during the process is when the S/O and her oscillating emotions threaten him with his life because somehow it is annoying that he makes her calculate the amount of gluten in every portion she consumes? Also, the brilliant engineer, nervous? No way—at least, not in a way anyone would ever be able to see. But S/O knows. Because he never stops, building baby furniture and baby tech and all these great inventions to provide aid, keeping his mind off of the fact that he doesn’t actually know what to do. What a foreign thing to admit from someone who prides himself on his infinite amount of knowledge. But, as Tech learns, parenting is not something you can convert into these complex outlines. That’s overthinking it. It’s truly something to be learned on the fly, it’s flash training, and there’s no amount of technology that can override paternal instincts, which I think is somewhat counterintuitive for Tech as he adapts.

Tumblr media
At first, you felt numb. It felt like your mind was wandering around, completely separated from your body. Where you should be feeling your hands and feet, there was only nothingness, a way too cold nothingness.
Then the soreness poked at the corner of your brain, slowly assaulting your nerves, crawling up your body until all you could feel was a mass of terribly aching limbs. A constant discomfort deep within your throat prompted you to cough it out to relieve yourself of the nagging feeling, the weak attempts miserably failing to alleviate the sensation of something invading your throat.
As you tried to raise a hand to rub at your neck, you realized that something was keeping it down. Something warm. And tight.
Like Tech's hand when he was pulling you away from the predator on your tail. Or when he was dangling in the air on the verge of death, the only thing keeping him from disappearing into the abyss being your fingers clutching his hand.
Fear flooded your system, fighting the exhaustion paralyzing your limbs. Your hand closed around the warm soft object in your grip, your hold tightening despite the pain radiating from your fingers. You couldn't let go. He would die. Your friend would die.
You didn't hear the yelp over the frenetic heartbeat booming in your ears, your closed eyes projecting you directly to that day when the dark sky offered the perfect camouflage to the draconic reptile. He was concealed in the dark, waiting for you to drop your guard. No. He was waiting for you to drop Tech so he could feast on his flesh.
Your eyes flew open in terror as the hand in yours slipped slightly, your fist crushing it with all your might to keep it secure.
The unexpected brightness brings tears to your eyes, the first droplets falling down your cheeks before a familiar figure invaded your personal space, his other hand flying to your shoulder in a comforting grip.
His lips were moving, trying to tell you something that you couldn't hear over the hammering of your heart or your quick breathing or the hectic beeping sound on your left.
Lifting your head a little, pain exploded behind your eyes, forcing your head back down immediately. Your eyes moved to your hand, still imprisoning another's in its vice grip. The sight made you relax slightly. You'd not dropped him.
Before your attention could return to the person hovering above you, his hand on your shoulder retreated as someone else took his place from your other side, a total stranger that looked oddly familiar in some way. He moved quickly around you, talking to you while putting something terribly cold onto your chest multiple times before removing something taped to your face and removing the thing down your throat.
You coughed as you felt the thing move out, more tears leaking down your face at the effort.
"You're okay Y/N." You finally heard, your mind concentrating on what was around instead of yourself. "You're okay." He repeated in case you still didn't hear him, his other hand returning to your shoulder.
His dark locks seemed even wilder than they were in the jungle, although they weren't slick with sweat and rain anymore. His armor was off, leaving him in a black skin fitted suit that allowed you to appreciate just perfectly fit he was beneath all that composite. His tattoo was still intriguing, but his eyes reminded you too much of someone else to let yourself wander about how soft the ink would feel beneath your fingertips.
"T-" You coughed at the roughness of your throat, increasing the pulsing feeling into your skull.
"Don't talk yet." Hunter chided, getting closer as the other man moved around, checking machines and bags disposed all around you. Where was water when you needed it?
"Tech's fine. All he got was a bruised hand." His gaze moved to your joined hands on the bed. "No wonder. You've got a hell of a grip."
Your eyes widen in realization that you were still clutching him in a terribly tight grasp, pain erupting from your white fingers as soon as you relaxed the tension.
He shook his hand once before massaging his digits to resume the blood flow. He turned to you, all traces of pain washed off his face, relief, and exhaustion taking its place.
"You scared us all to death, you know that?"
You frowned, unsure as to why.
"Tech said that the fall should have been fatal." It clicked in your head, your fall replaying back in your head, the air hitting you full force, your stomach on the verge of your lips, the screams resonating in your ears.
"Somehow, you survived the fall and we took you to the closest GAR medical outpost."
You frowned, looking around to the room but were interrupted by a light flashing directly into your eyes. You blinked, surprised but tried to maintain them open for the apparent exam.
"Follow the light." The doctor softly instructed, obliging as he moved the light from right to left. He nodded in approval. "Does it hurt somewhere?"
You nodded slowly, a finger pointing at your head the best you could with your stiff joints.
"Your head?" You nodded in confirmation.
"Your pilot will be monitored closely for a while. As of now, her vitals are good and I'll give her something for the pain." He addressed Hunter, the latter nodding in understanding. Your head tilted to the side, your eyebrows dipped in a frown. Pilot? "Keep her rested, no moving around like the other one." He finished on a disapproving tone and pointed look, pressed some buttons on a machine right beside you, and left the room when Hunter promised to keep you in bed.
"We had to pass you as our pilot so you could be treated here, so play the game." He whispered when the doctor exited the room and turned to meet your confused face.
Your eyes widened, quickly shaking your head because you don't know shit about ships! What if someone asked you about stuff GAR related? Hissing, you abruptly stopped, your head spinning and hurting.
"Stop that. You may have survived but you had a severe concussion, some internal injuries, broke an arm, a few ribs, and have lots and lots of bruises." His eyes roamed your face, analyzing the different colors painting your skin, although you couldn't care less because your eyes caught the cast enveloping your right arm.
You were fucked. You'd never be able to go home and act like you didn't go out on Murphy day. You'll get punished, your life will become more miserable, people will avoid you even more than they already did. Maybe they'll quick you out of the village!
Your face must have shown your panic or maybe it was the fact that the beeping sound accelerated along with your heartbeat, but Hunter got closer, his hand reaching for your shoulder once more.
"What's wrong?"
"T-" You coughed before clearing your throat. Your mouth felt like it was full of sand, but you had to get it out. "They'll know-" You winced. "-I was out."
"Well. I'm sure they know by now." He looked sheepish, scratching the back of his head like that, almost uncomfortable to tell you some precious information. "You've been out for a bit less than a month."
"A month?!" You choked, eyes widening in shock. This couldn't be possible. He must have hit his head too.
"You're awake!" The door to your room opened swiftly, letting inside the rest of the batch, all without armor. Tech hurried to your side first, taking your bruised hand in his and staring at you like he couldn't believe it.
"I am." You answered in a daze, still distracted by the fact that you missed a month.
"You should be dead." He whispered in awe.
"Jeez, thanks for the vote of confidence." You coughed as Hunter called his brother, horrified.
"No, I mean… I'm happy that you're alive! All I'm saying is that you had a 50% chance to die from a 48 feet high fall. But headfirst?! Your chances were close to none!"
You gulped. "Cool?"
"He should be thanking you instead of telling you all that." Hunter pointed out, a hard look on his face directly focussed on his little brother.
"Thanks," Said brother whispered, his free hand scratching his neck in shame. "for saving my life. Twice."
"No thanks needed. You'd have done the same." You moved your hand so you could give him a comforting squeeze.
"Sarge told you you'd survive the day Y/N!" Wrecker approached from Hunter's side, happiness lacing his voice.
"And I told you guys would give me your bad lu-" Your smile disappeared as soon as you took in the bandages covering his naked chest. Some patches of exposed skin were tainted from a sick yellow to some dark green, worrying you to no end.
"What happened to you?" You croaked, coughing when your voice raised in pitch.
"There." You heard Crosshair’s low voice before a cup appeared in front of you.
"I don't think she shoul-"
"I want it!" You hurried out of breath, cutting Tech before anyone could think about following his instructions.
Taking the cup from Crosshair's hand, Hunter approached it to your hand not attached to a cast.
"Good to do it yourself?"
"I'll try." You shrugged, fighting past the exhaustion in your bone to lift your hand to the white carton cup, only for it to burn up all your energy. "Shit."
The good point was that whatever the doctor gave you was working perfectly, the throbbing in your head was gone and the pulsing in your hand as well.
"Here." The cup reached your lips and very slowly, Hunter tilted it to appease your thirst without drowning you in the process. You would have been mortified at the idea of being helped like this, but in this very precise situation, all you could think of was drink.
Lie. This is not sweet! Bacterias! You almost spit it out by reflex but remembered at the last second that they surely wouldn't give you undrinkable water. It was difficult, but you forced yourself to swallow.
Once satisfied, you lifted your head to signal to Hunter to back off. You hummed your thanks, smiling gratefully and totally ignoring the smirk Crosshair send his tattooed brother, focussing your attention on Wrecker instead.
"What happened?" You repeated yourself.
"The giant snake hit me with its tail." He shrugged like it was nothing. "I'm fine, don't worry. I've survived worse!"
You stared him up and down, wondering how in the universe he could have survived that. Its tail was rock hard to allow it to move underground. There was no way-
"What could be worse than a Basilisk wanting you for dinner?!"
"That'll be a story for another time." A woman said from the door. "Now that you are awake we need to run some more exams." She smiled warmly at you, and you immediately knew that you liked her. "You can all come back later."
"Aw already?" You chuckled slightly at Wrecker's disappointment.
"Unfortunately. But I promise to take good care of her for you all." She replied, entering the room to get to the machines at your side.
"We'll be back." Hunter promised before bending to your ear, whispering cheekily, "You're a hell of a catch. Never think otherwise." Leaving you agape to follow the others out without a glance back. He didn't need to, the heart monitor told him all he needed to know. You were mortified. He had heard you by the river.
Crosshair saluted you in the doorway, Tech patted your hand, Wrecker waved and Hunter smirked before closing the door.
"I've never seen them so worried about someone else other than the four of them. It's nice to see them opening to someone else." She smiled, noting information on her datapad.
If only you knew… I know them for only 2 hours top.
________________________
You gulped down the last bit of your small breakfast, the tasteless bread leaving a soggy feeling in your mouth.
You'd slept like a baby after Mylana finished to examine your cast, reflexes, and more. Your strength returned during the night, allowing you to lift your cast-free left arm to feed yourself.
Patch, the clone doctor assigned to your case passed to assess your improvement and informed you that he'd remove the nasogastric tube so you could eat by yourself. Removing the thing was nasty, definitely something you didn't want to live again but it was worth it. Or so you thought. Because the food here was depressing compared to Fors’ vast variety of fresh fruits, meat, and vegetables.
It was only when Patch presented himself that you realized how different the Bad Batch was from the rest of the clones. He was the very first 'normal' clone you encountered. It pushed you to think about how the batchers must have had it hard, to live in a world where everything must be identical and you're not. They had no chance to conceal it, to be themselves like all the others because they were physically different. They had no chance to try and save themselves. It was infuriating and unfair.
"How's breakfast?" Tech asked from the door, moving uncomfortably from a foot to the other.
"Not what I'm used to but it’s edible." You shrugged, waving him in. "Don't be a stranger, I'm your pilot after all."
Tech chuckled at that, closed the door to sit at the foot of the bed. For a while he sat there, watching his fingers, sometimes pressing them together but never facing you.
"You don't have to apologize for anything Tech. I don't know what's bugging you, but it's fine. I'm alive." You told him honestly, surprising him.
"I-What I said yesterday was inappropriate and I'm very sorry. It's just- I watched the recording times and times again and- Why did you let go of my hand?" He finally met your eyes offering you disbelief, confusion, sadness, and betrayal on a golden plate.
"I told you there was nothing to apologize for. I let go of your hand because I didn't want to drag you down with me." You lifted your hand when he opened his mouth to interrupt you, effectively shutting him up. "I'd do it again. Don't beat yourself over it, because it's not your fault Tech." You ended firmly, no trace of your previous amusement on your face.
He analyzed your face for a second before averting his eyes.
"How's your hand?" You asked, eager to fill the silence.
"Still bruised." The corner of his lips lifted slightly as he showed you his colorful hand. "I couldn't close it at first, but it passed." He chuckled. "Oh, and I had to wash my armor at least 3 times to get rid of the phosphorescence."
You laughed full-on before pain shot through your chest at the movement.
"Don't make me laugh!"
"Slept well then." Hunter entered followed by Crosshair and Wrecker with a black shirt on this time.
"Best night of sleep I had in a while Sarge." You beamed. It was true, the life in the village was hard enough. Not because of your work, but because the incessant persecution was heavy to bear.
"Good to hear. We came back after the exam but you were asleep." He positioned himself at the foot of the bed, letting Wrecker all the place to sit in the chair at your side.
"Thanks for letting me sleep then!"
"Even if we wanted to wake you, Patch would've had our asses before we even opened the door!" Wrecker laughed, stopping his poking of the fluid bag hanging near his shoulder to smile at you.
"He just wants me to be discharged sooner than later." You batted his hand away as he resumed his movement.
"Speaking of discharge, we'll take you back to Fors as soon as you're cleared." The playful smile fell of your face in a heartbeat.
"Oh. Ok. Thanks."
"What's the matter?" Crosshair approached at Hunter's question, clearly wanting to know the answer.
"Nothing. Can't wait to go back." You faked a smile that didn’t reach your eyes, not fooling a single clone in the room.
"What is it?" The sniper inquired, surprising you that he'd care about your feelings and well, you.
"It's just… I'm done. People know that I went out on Murphy day and they certainly think me dead right now." You explained.
"Well, they'll be happy to see that you're not." Tech tilted his head, not understanding where the problem was.
"No one misses the village's freak. Ever. They won't throw a celebration because I'm alive, they'll kick me out for breaking the law, and because I'll attract them bad luck."
Silence fell over the room and suddenly you felt an urge to pull on the needles in your arms and hand and run out the door to avoid the conversation and all the shame accompanying it.
"You're not a freak." You scoffed at Wrecker, all the insults thrown at you during your life echoing in your head like a curse.
"Wanting more than just living the life that was imposed on me at birth doesn't fit under the norms on Fors. A female having weapons is not acceptable, even less a female hunting. Working a physical job instead of stayin' at home is not exemplary. Plus, I'm still single! I told off the guy who asked for my hand after my dad died and went as far as menacing him with a knife. After that, I was pretty much a goner." You recalled painfully, hands clenching around the sheets, eyes closing in shame.
"I'm always being stared at like a freak show, pushed around by my supposed peers, thrown in the mud when possible, or let behind in a storm. Oh let's not forget that I went out on Murphy day. Now, that's the dumbest shit I've ever done but damn did it felt good to break their stupid law! I'm sure I'll be exiled at best or executed at worse."
You finally took a deep breath in, canalizing your frustration to not take it out on the medical equipment helping you get better. The silence was heavier than before and you thought that maybe the drip Patch showed you for the episodes of pain could help you relieve some of the pressure crushing you.
"Your planet is hell." Was all Crosshair had to say for you to smile again.
"It is." You confirmed, eyes still closed.
"We need a pilot." That got you to open your eyes, confused at Hunter.
"So? I'm not a pilot. My planet doesn't even have datapads."
"We'll train you." Tech and Wrecker were as surprised as you were, although your big friend was the most enthusiast out of the group.
"Really Sarge?" He asked, hopeful.
"Wo there, calm down. We've known each other for 2 hours!" You reasoned in disbelief. He couldn't possibly offer you a job, an escape route out of your misery, after walking alongside you for 2 hours more or less. "You don't know me!"
"On the contrary, I've learned plenty in 2 hours." He countered, his serious eyes telling you that he passed his time analyzing your actions, your motives, who you were.
It was really tempting, but you couldn't help to feel that this was rushed. It was, right?
"Freaks help each other." Crosshair added putting a stop to your doubt. They were the same as you.
"I told you already Cross." You smirked at him. "You're not defects. Simply the improved versions of your species." You nudged his arm pressed at the foot of the bed that he was leaning on next to Hunter with your sheet covered toes.
"You seen Patch?" He lifted an eyebrow at you, not believing that after seeing the real deal you still talked highly of them.
"I did. Really handsome." You paused, to bit your bottom lip. "But that just means that you guys are even more handsome." He scoffed and you laughed, happy to get a smirk out of him.
"So, wanna become a pilot?" Hunter reiterated, waiting. He seemed so patient, unbothered, but you could see it beneath the surface. He was anxious to know the answer.
"On one condition." Held your chin high, ignoring how Wrecker's face split into a wide grin and how Tech straightened at your side.
"Name it."
"I wanna touch that tattoo of yours." You smirked.
Wrecker exploded in laughter, Tech blinked in incredulity until it dawned on him and his cheeks became pink from the blood rush and Crosshair simply rolled his eyes, pushing himself off the bed.
"Deal." He smirked in turn, not once moving his eyes from your lips.
Finally.

can you do a pt. 2 to the bad batch x wolf reader fic, where the bad batch and the reader are on another mission, but they get ambushed? A droid sneaks up on Tech, but the reader saves him, but gets mortally injured in the process. The reader dies from her wounds, but then a miracle happens, and she is revived. The reader's curse is lifted and she is transformed into a human again (like that scene from beauty and the beast), and the bad batch sees the whole thing. Angst and fluff, please

The Bad Batch and Wolf Reader part 2
------------------------------------------ PART 1 LINK HERE Sorry this took me some time to respond too <3 ------------------------------------------ Content Warning: Injury Animal Injury Death (temporary) Angst / Fluff ------------------------------------------ Just before you all reach their ship Tech's scanners pick up multiple hostilities nearby, "It appears they found our ship." "Well that's just great," Hunter said crouching down to avoid being seen. "Told you guys we should have hidden it better," Crosshair scoffs as he readies his rifle. "We didn't know so many clankers were still around," Wrecker said moving to cover behind a nearby tree, "But now I got something to break!" "Just be careful you don't break our ship," Tech replied. "I can rush the one's on the side," you say looking over at some droids. Hunter and Tech devised a strategy to take out the droids and get onto the ship for a quick exit. All of you take up your positions and start attacking the droids, you notice that a platoon is coming up from the rear, but it's kind of hard to call out to everyone else when you need your wolf mouth for tearing up droids. -As they head for Tech you decide to charge at him and the droids, hoping to knock them out of the way before they shoot him, this time no droids were in your mouth so you call out to him, "Tech, behind you!" you call as you jump in between him and the droids, taking out as many as you can before being shot by the others. Your body feels heavy and your legs weak, despite having four legs they all gave out making you fall on the ground, the landing was pretty soft, guess that was a perk to being a wolf right now. Everything starts going dark, they just have hit a vital point you think as Tech calls your name, "Y/N stay with us.  GUYS I NEED HELP!" "What's wrong?" Hunter says fighting off some droids. "What happened to her?" Crosshair asks running over to help his brother and you. "She tried protecting me from the droids and ended up getting shot." "Well how do we help her, I'm not exactly an animal expert," Crosshair says looking at your injures, unsure of how anyone was supposed to help. "I don't know, I'm not one either!" Tech said as tears filled his eyes. "Tech you know a bunch of useless stuff, how don't you know anything about this," Hunter called out. "Because we haven't encountered anything like her before, I'm not sure how to help," he says attempting to do something, anything, to help you. He can't stop the tears from rolling down his face as you mumble out his name before your body becomes lifeless. --There's a light that appears, it's covered by green smoke but somehow extremely bright, lighting up the surrounding area and blinding the Bad Batch who had finished destroying the droids now coming over and kneel down beside you and their brothers trying to find a way to save you, but they were already too late. Tech's scanner no longer detects life coming from your body as the light and green smoke starts to vanish, --but then as it clears they see you, no longer the cursed form that you looking like a wolf, but you, the person. "Y/N?" you hear Tech mumble through the shock of what was unfolding in front of them. "Tech?" you say opening your eyes to see him, but he looks different, you notice more color and turn your head to look at yourself, "I'm human again?!" you shout not sure of if you were dead or actually back to your normal self. "I guess so," Crosshair said with a confused expression. "Maybe the curse wore off when you died," Hunter said, unsure of his own statement. "So I did die then?" "Yeah, you should have seen Tech he--"  "Shut it!" Tech says cutting off Wrecker as he threw his helmet at him, in amusement and surprise his brothers couldn't help but chuckle at him. "Sorry I worried you," you tell him as you sit up noticing the fresh tear marks on his face. "It's okay, I'm glad you're safe and alive--" "And human again," you added making everyone smile. "So since I'm human now, I guess that means you guys don't have to take me with you..." "If you want to come with us, we'd be more than happy to add you to the crew," Hunter said placing his hand on your shoulder. "Really?" "Do you want to join us?" Tech asked worried you might turn down their offer. "Yes, I do!" you say leaning over to hug him.
