Hi I can request where son heung min is dating actress they watch the new show together and he gets jealous because you kiss another man
I hope it makes sense-💌
Thank you-❤️
authors note: heyy thanks for your patience i hope you enjoy this one and let me know what you think 🫶🏾
warnings: none just pure fluff , jealous sonny
word count: approx 800 words
________________________________
It was late at night, so you and Son were both in your pyjamas and cuddling on your couch. You're using his shoulder as a pillow for your head while lying on the blanket that the two of you are sharing. You start browsing Netflix and recommend something lighthearted and humorous, but Son suggests that you watch a drama instead. You can tell that he wants to watch a drama because of how serious his face looks, so you agree and tell him to pick while you get some snacks. You pick up the blanket off you both and get up to get the snacks, snuggling it close to your body like a makeshift robe. This elicits an annoyed groan from the Son, at which you simply stick your tongue out. He shakes his head at you before grabbing the remote and browsing through the list of dramas. When you come back to sit down with a bowl of popcorn, Son has already started the movie, and your eyes widen as your face comes into the frame.
"I'm beginning to regret choosing this drama to watch," he says as he watches you lock lips with the male lead.
Something about how the guy looked at you, the way only he should be allowed to, and how his arm was wrapped around your waist bothered him. But to see him kiss you? That was too much for him. He wanted to support you, but seeing you kiss that other guy made him realize how much he wanted you for himself. Nothing could have prepared him to see your lips meeting someone else's.
Your head shook as you tried to reach for the remote, "We don't have to watch this"
"Why can't I watch my girlfriend now?" he muttered angrily, "You guys are just acting. It's no big deal, really."
"Right…"
"Is there something you don't want me to see? Is that it? What does he kiss you better than I do" Sonny questioned.
Your eyebrows furrowed as you quickly picked up on what was going on, "Why did you pick this drama if you were going to get jealous?"
"I'm not jealous of a kiss." he scoffed, exasperated, as he looked away from you.
"Tell your face that," you teased as he tried to straighten out his expression. "It's a kiss for work, Sonny. It's nothing for you to worry about."
Sonny gritted his teeth, rolling his eyes in an attempt to brush off the subject.
You snuggled up closer to him. "It's just a kiss, nothing more," you whispered, planting a small peck on his cheek. "Come on," you said, brushing a lock of his hair back. "I can't believe you actually think I would like someone else when I already have you." "I don't know," Son defeatedly replied with a shrug, "it's common for co-stars to fall in love on set."
You smiled, taking his hands in yours, and said, "I don't care for what's 'common.'
Son glanced back at you, "How can you expect me not to think like that? Look at that; you two are kissing so passionately that any person would think you're in love."
"It's a good thing I'm not anyone else; I'm just me." You laughed and kissed him again, pressing your forehead against his and saying softly, "It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, okay?"
You made a silly face, earning a smile from the pouting boy. Satisfied with his reaction, you settle into his lap on the couch, wrapping the blanket around both of you. He sighed, resting his chin atop your head and squeezing you tightly as you two resumed watching the movie.
"He's tall," Son muttered under his breath as your co-star appeared on the screen.
"You're taller," You said with a sly smirk, eliciting a chuckle from your companion.
As the movie continued, he scoffed, "He's just so good-looking and so popular, too. What if fans start making edits of you two kissing or start shipping you two?" you looked down and smiled, shaking your head in disbelief. You turn around so you're straddling his lap while facing him, taking his face into your hands. You look into his eyes and say,
"Then you just have to let them know that no one can kiss me as good as you do." before pressing your lips against his.

What are your most important hockey movies? (Or media in general) I am trying to watch more stuff that is out of my known bubble. Thanks
i fear i'm Pretty Basic when it comes to general hockey media but 1000000% recommend watching and reading "the russian five"!!!! i held out on doing it for so long bc i knew it would drive me insane and i was Right. so goooood. the editing of it is also really engaging and fun off the bat if ur someone who normally doesn't get caught up in like. Doc Style Things (me)
i think "red army" is also a good companion watch for after that!!! for more of a view of What russian hockey was like at the time
(i have reading "larionov" and watching "cold war on ice" and "ice-breaker: the 72 summit series" on my List for other possible good companions if ur interested in the soviet hockey of it all but i havent gotten to those yet so can't Personally Vouch)
also ik ur a stars fan but if u have never seen it.... come weep at the dallas stars "we're not going home" (2020) bubble cup run youtube unlisted doc with me.... please... my most important hockey media
"untold: crimes and penalties" is a fun doc on netflix abt a minor league team that was a. very violent b. owned by someone who's first line in their wikipedia says he is a convicted felon and associate of a crime family. but ran by his son! who was clueless in every way! pretty interesting
and then a bit more of a time commitment than the others because its a whole Show but. junior league is a russian drama that follows a team with a new coach trying to make the junior league so they can keep playing as like a career and all their interpersonal Dramas and Romance but Also Hockey As Well. There's 6 seasons but not all of it is available in english (yet! hopefully) .... use the link if inch rested its the only english version beyond early 1st season but keep it Hush Hush as the last channel that was uploading them like a year ago got taken down dlkfjsdl
i'm also assuming you've seen/know of shoresy but if u have not. that's less of a time commitment bc its newer and also a jared keeso show so. Shorter Episodes By A Lot. funny! silly! underdogs!!!!
and then if u enjoy Romance i did rlly like "the cutting edge" (even tho there's not. much hockey if we're being real) and the book "icebreaker" BY A.L. GRAZIADEI. THE GAY ONE. not the Other One.
and i think that's all i got in me??? i hope this helped!!! i feel like i'm definitely forgetting some but. if anyone else has any other recommendations or further Thoughts please feel free to add to this/reply with them!!!!! <3
#i have not seen a lot of the Popular Hockey Movies (ie miracle. mystery alaska. slapshot. youngblood) tbr#so i hope this helped Regardless of that flaw of mine

Hi Kiki! ✌🏼 7, 10 and 26 😌😌😌
oh hai~!!
7. a horror movie you want to recommend to people?
reincarnation!!! its done by takashi shimizu (ju-on: the grudge) and without giving too much away its about a film being made about murders that happened at a haunted hotel but its actually being filmed at the haunted hotel and the main character starts to see visions of the murders happening. dont look up any trailers because they all spoil it but its such a great movie. also two south korean films that everyone needs to watch and both star park shin-hye (i adore her honestly) are #alive which is about this guy that's stuck in his apartment alone trying to survive a zombie apocalypse...theres an american version called alone but its more of a drama and its honestly kind of boring in comparison to #alive (if you like train to busan you'll love this movie i promise) and the other movie is simply called 'call'. its another one you cant watch the trailer because it gives away the entire plot that you're supposed to watch unfold if that makes sense....basically park shin-hye is in modern times and she finds this phone that has the ability to call a girl back in the 90s (its like a time travel thing of sorts but not really) and they form a friendship...thats basically all you're allowed to know. its one of those movies you just have to trust me and thank me later. it doesnt make sense until it starts making sense...if that makes sense? like call is SUCH a good freaking movie. park shin-hye is phenomenal in it as she is in everything and its just such a mindfuck of a movie. its more psychological thriller than straight horror but the elements are all there so im counting it. the stepmom from a tale of two sisters is also in it and holy shit that woman does not age. but yea that's on netflix and i highly HIGHLY recommend it!
oh also also i've been obsessively telling anyone who will listen to me to watch pontypool. holy shit that movie is SO good. like the ide of spreading a virus/plague through speech is absolutely horrifying and its one of those movies that once you watch it a second time and know whats going on there is SO much foreshadowing it's ridiculous. like its so clever how they do it.
10) a horror movie you wish you could watch again like it's the first time
the conjuring. that movie scared the shit out of me when i saw it in theatres but i rewatched it recently and it was just meh...like i still love it dont get me wrong it just doesnt have the same affect that it did the first time you know?
26) a horror movie you didn't expect to like but you did
does cocaine bear count?? cuz like its kind of a horror movie but its more comedy...? i dont know i cant think of any movies that i watched that i didnt think i would like because i tend to only watch movies i think i'll genuinely enjoy but for some reason cocaine bear was the first movie that popped into my head. like it was so much better than it had any right to be...i guess in the same light tucker and dale vs evil could be on that list...i thought they were both going to be ridiculously stupid...and they are...but in the absolute best way possible. like tucker and dale is one of my favourite movies of all time and im not a huge comedy person...same with cocaine bear. cocaine bear is so freaking funny like it genuinely makes me happy.

Hey Anna (pretty name btw!) this question is pretty random haha and not Top Gun related or anything like that.
I was wondering if you have any Disney +/Netflix recommendations? It can shows or movies ur choice! I’m always wanna find something to watch on those streaming platforms but sometimes I can be little picky yk lol
Hello hello, JJ!
And of course, my ask is open for more than just Top Guns and fics 😅 and ahhh I super know what you mean! That was me up until a few years ago, so I started a yearly watchlist so I can see what I’ve watched already and it also encourages me to explore new media. I hope I don’t overwhelm you with this since I can get pretty overboard with recommendations! I hope you find something to enjoy 😊
(And if anyone else reads this, feel free to leave some more recommendations in the comments or reblogs 💗)
Notes: I’m not entirely sure if we have the same Netflix selections/titles, and if some of these are still even available on there (not all of these are Netflix originals) so you may have to check what’s available for you! And since there are quite a number of titles below the cut, I also encourage you to do some research on the titles that pique your interest, just in case you may need some context or warning before deciding if you want to watch them!

The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu
The Death of a Billionaire: An unbelievable story caught my eye a few months back. It was about a Chinese billionaire who got killed at the age of 39 by one of his executives through slow poisoning! Now, you might ask what's that got to do with a science fiction novel? And to that, I would say, everything, my friend, everything! This man was the biggest fan of this series and was trying to turn them into a series of movies. And that, kids, is how I was introduced to the novel (!) and it echoes the shocking blend of high-stakes drama and intricate plot reflecting the life of its biggest fan. Only he could not see it himself!
The plot: With a premise as interesting as this, it would be almost impossible for any story to surpass that or even meet on equal grounds. But nah! The Three-body problem not only makes it possible but also slams it in the reader's face. The plot is too good to spoil. It might be best to go in blind and experience it yourself.
My honest feeling: This is one of the best science fiction I have ever read. The buildup, the payoff, everything is just about perfect. It didn't ever feel like science fiction to me. It was able to give me the feeling that, hey! That can happen, even though it's ridiculous when you really think about it! Although this was a hefty read, I cruised along it at an Olympic sprinter's pace.
Would I recommend it: If I could I would have everyone read this at gunpoint! :') But since we live in a society, this post will have to do! This is a masterpiece (No point fighting me, I am not moving from my stand), and anyone looking to be thoroughly mind-blown needs to read it.
PS: I did not watch the Netflix show, and I don't think I will. I am sure after reading this, anything I watch will only go downhill.

Yes! I have been rewatching Vincenzo again. A Korean mafia show, so that could been another series for you to watch if you enjoy more of a crime drama. It's an internationally popular series around the world.
And Vincenzo Cassano's an ideal man for me. Has beauty, brains and brawn. He's handsome, wealthy, multilingual.. Not afraid to kill a man. And he's the true Don of the mafia. So the type of man I need my life.
I have a type.
And I'm so annoyed there's no stories written about him either. If this is a popular series, then there should be stories written for the man.
~
That is why I was debating on whether or not to have more romantic ships between the canon and original characters in my story, but not too many romantic ships either. If and when I do to write this story.
Since there aren't that many, well, any romantic couples in High&Low besides Kizzy and Kaito. But everyone has their own crushes though.
~
That would depend for me. I can be easily entertained that there have been times where I can enjoy, both adaptions - like how the show and book could be. But sometimes, I'm also critical about it. So it actually depends on the series. Since I can be overly critical of certain series.
~
That's your decision on what experiences you'd want your characters to go through. I would be curious aither outcome. Because there is so many different outcomes that can happen for the characters, story or anyone and anything else involved too. You decide what can happen.
So they're close siblings, but not close in the same way as Smoky and Lara though. Smoky's a huge presence in the Rude Boys family.
I think that's why I wanted to write the timeline for my story before all the movies.. Because I wanted to have some interactions with Smoky and my characters. Even if those scenes might be brief. I don't know.
~
Like after the second season since Hyuga's already released from the prison, but before the movies when the major plot takes place for this whole story. That's why I was deciding around that timeline for mine.
~
I'm a lot more idealistic about the relationships I want, how I think the relationships should be. So I might be slightly unrealistic in that way... Which is why I save those types of relationship for writing stories that could have those couples. Since those relationships are unrealistic for most people. But that might also be based on my own experiences.
But yeah. You'd think that most people would have common sense to not hurt someone they care about, regardless of the reasons. But no.. They end up being horrible people. Just like most people in the world who say and do things like this all the time. Ignore me. I hate humans.
~
You're only five years younger than me.
True. She's trying to right her wrongs. But you would think someone's common sense would make them realize not to do things like this but they still end up doing this anyway. This is why I lose faith in humans.. Because they end up saying or doing things like this. I hate humans.
ah vincenzo! ive watched a few episodes but haven’t gotten back around to it yet. i hear it’s pretty good, but it was a bit of a slow start for me.
i did think the scene of him holding that guy out the window was cool tho.
~
both hinami and ryuko’s stories are kinda balanced between romance and found family stuff. bit more of a lean towards romance, but that’s because it’s what i enjoy writing.
~
i definitely recommend the junji ito books and then the anime only if you’re looking for an easy, not-too-serious watch. there’s mixed reviews for the recent netflix series. i thought it was an easy watch, but it didn’t really have the same unsettling, scary factor that the manga has.
~
smokey really is like a big brother to all of nameless. hinami probably visits his grave a lot after he dies, just to keep it well-tended and maybe to talk to him. though probably a lot of other nameless city citizens that also knew him would as well. they definitely try to keep his spirit alive around nameless. i imagine it’s a bit of a struggle for takeshi, trying to live up to smokey.
~
i think that hinami would’ve been with rude since the beginning, so idk where exactly i’d start her story. the fic i’m writing for her now takes place across a few weeks between the end of the first movie and the start of the second. ryuko’s intro fic was taking place around the same time actually, though more towards the start of end of sky.
they’re having very different situations.
~
we need to change the term ‘common sense’ because clearly it isn’t that common. apparently what’s ‘common’ is the dumb shit people keep doing. like cheating and drunk driving.

i think i'll probably stop going to uni next week... i was hoping to keep going but i feel like my energy is getting worse, i didn't go to class on wedesday because my whole body hurt, which was good because yesterday i did feel much better. it's sad because i do enjoy the classes themselves (although i only go to 3 out of the 7 i'm supposed to take this semester) and i know i won't have much to do at home until the birth and i'm probably gonna sit and obsess over it until it happens... but i just can't take it anymore.
i do wanna try and be a bit more active in other ways, though. i'll try to do some light stretching / exercises at home every day (going outside is too hard atp), and i wanna read more, hopefully finish a book or two before the baby comes lol. catch up on the millions of mvs i haven't watched yet and have put off. maybe bingewatch a show/drama if i can handle it (although it's probably not the most active thing to do)... idk. i'm not sure what else i can do that will be both helpful to my mind & mental state, but not too exhausting on my body. something that will distract me from thinking about the birth, and will do me some good. usually i would go out for walks but it's hard... maybe i will try a short one once a week or something but idk.
so if anyone has any ideas of things i could do... maybe some interesting ted talks / other educational stuff on youtube? something fun but that will give me interesting perspectives. especially if you have anything about feminism/queer theory/literature, those are the things i'm most interested in (also what i study at uni lol). i'm less fond of podcasts although there is one i like and one i was recommended so i might give it another shot, although i'm struggling to concentrate with only sound (i usually need to watch/read along)... idk. also if you have any recommendations for something fun to watch on netflix/disney+ (tv shows or movies), or dramas... i'm considering watching twenty one twenty five or joseon attorney for bona but i'm not sure yet.

Tag 9 people you want to get to know better
I was tagged by @firstkanaphans (Have I mentioned I love your fanfictions? Cause I do!!!)
Three Ships
Akk and Ayan (always! they basically made 2022 for me) from The Eclipse
Tinn and Gun from My School President (such cutie pies)
Chu Sang-woo and Jang Jae-young from Semantic Error (the very few K-dramas that I like)
First Ever Ship
I'm not even sure - maybe Merlin and Arthur from BBC's Merlin series (look, I know they were marketed as bromance, but really, their bickering chemistry was off-the-chart!)
Last Song
Never say Goodbye by Stray Kids - I listen to any K pop really, but I'm going to a Stray Kids concert in a few days time, so here I am re-listening to their tunes so that I won't make a fool of myself during the concert
Last Movie
Glass Onion on Netflix - such a good movie with an awesome cast. Paired a flamboyant Benoit Blanc with a badass heroine, what more can you ask, really? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Currently Reading
Sigh... I am attempting to finish Sarah Maas House of Sky and Breath (Book 2 of the Crescent City) and The Maid (by Nita Prose). If you like fantasy with in-depth world building, Sarah Maas Crescent City series are amazing. But I also like mystery in general, hence the second book!
Currently Consuming - Nothing
BUT, I am Currently Craving my mom's fish head soup!
Tagging: Look, I don't really know anyone on Tumblr. I honestly used this to ramble my thoughts on dramas/books, not really expecting people to follow me or even read my posts...therefore, I will tag the last 9 people who liked my post(s) - please feel free to ignore this post (and don't fell obligated to answer them!)

3 ways Elle encourages Tao to become a better person
Tao might be the most controversial character in the fandom. We have our baddies (Ben, Harry, David), our icons (Tori, Sarah Nelson, Aled/Isaac), and our romantic heroes (Narlie forever), but Tao is not that simple to categorize. On paper, Tao is everything you want from a friend: fiercely loyal, committed to friendship, and dedicated to protecting those he cares about. On the other hand, Tao is stubborn, opinionated, resistant to change, and makes lots of assumptions or jumps to conclusions, often to the detriment of his relationships. Every time I recommend Heartstopper, I get reaction texts from first-timers that read something like this: “I would die for Nick and Charlie…but ugh what’s Tao’s problem?”
I appreciate the expanded role that Tao got in the Netflix adaptation compared with the comic. The more I rewatched the show, the more I started to really love Tao. I also noticed something else: Elle is to Tao what Charlie is to Nick. Throughout the show, there are 3 main ways that Elle helps our favorite beanie-wearing film snob start to become a better version of himself, perhaps even his true self.
1. She calls out his bad behavior.
If Tao is being loud and obnoxious, Elle is the first to call it out. From the very first scene where we see them together in the same room, for the “emergency Charlie situation” in episode 2, Elle is not entertaining his nonsense:
T: Charlie literally won’t give up on this *straight* boy until we know for sure!
E: Oh my god, be quiet! Ok, slowly, what do you want?
When Tao is being a drama queen or catastrophizing a situation, Elle doesn’t let him get away with it. She tells him he’s being dramatic when he declares that Nick has “stolen” Charlie and initially when he makes her promise to always prioritize their friendship. She pushes him to think of others when he’s reacting badly, too, like when she urges him not to confront Charlie about Nick on his birthday, or when he’s a little too self-involved on the sidelines of the rugby match:
T: Charlie’s befriending bullies and our friendship group is falling apart, Elle. Take this seriously.
E: Hey! I didn’t come here and risk seeing all the Truham boys who used to pick on me just for you to tell me our friendship group is falling apart.
She teasingly calls him the “king of getting involved” and tries to get him to stop dwelling on his near-constant desire to talk about all the reasons he doesn’t like Nick. Elle also pokes fun at his tendency to be jealous in episode 3 when she tells him that her friends are going to Harry’s party and in episode 4 after he meets Tara and Darcy:
T: It was nice meeting your friends though.
E: Yeah?
T: Yeah. They seem cool.
E: They are.
T: Have they replaced us?
E: As if anyone could replace your incredibly annoying, loud presence in my life.
T: How dare you!
Elle is really the only one who calls Tao out, and she’s probably the only one he would listen to anyway, and I love her for it.
2. She helps him process his complicated emotions around change.
Tao really hates change, and his stress about it informs a lot of his motivations and actions throughout the show. Elle is the only person to whom Tao seems to confide about this in any serious way, and her reactions are so perfectly accepting and therapeutic. She sometimes prods him to reframe his perception about change, like during episode 3’s movie night:
E: Yeah. But sometimes change is a good thing…I was really scared no one would like me, so I didn’t even try talking to people at first. But then I realized I actually needed to put myself out there or I’d just be alone. So I think I’m going to be ok there, at Higgs. That’s a good change, right?
T: Yeah, that’s a good change.
In episode 7, she uses a combination of humor and empathy to try to show him that he will be ok. She doesn’t really try to solve everything for him; she’s just there for him when he needs it.
T: Sorry about earlier. I know it’s not your fault he hasn’t told me.
E: Charlie does want to tell you.
T: I think I know why he hasn’t. He thinks that I’ll accidentally say something stupid and out Nick to all of Nick’s mates. And obviously he cares more about Nick’s feelings than mine. Once you get into a relationship, friendships don’t matter anymore.
E: Or maybe he just thinks you’ll force Nick to watch Donnie Darko like you did with us.
T: Shut up! It’s a good movie! It’s just complicated! I don’t know why I’m so afraid of being alone.
E: That’s how I felt, my first term. I got scared. But everything turned out ok.
Elle seems to understand when to push Tao and when to give him a little room to process. That’s a hard balance for some people, but she’s such an observant and kind person that it seems to come naturally to her.
3. She makes Tao feel safe and gives him space to be silly.
In many scenes with his friends and classmates, Tao is at times brooding, competitive, sarcastic, and bossy. Yet every time we get a glimpse of Tao getting out of his own head long enough to joke around or have some light-hearted fun, Elle is at the center of it. At the sleepover at Charlie’s, he drops their serious discussion about Nick in the face of Elle’s criticism that he’s being annoying by performing his “interpretive dance.” He’s playful with her in the arcade and when they meet up at the milkshake café (their truly adorable fishing reel greeting is such an underrated gem of a moment). In episode 8, their run through the halls of Truham to the intro of “Close to You” is a moment of unburdened young joy that moves me every time. He has shown her his worst side and shared his deepest, darkest fears, and she still loves and accepts him. Indeed, Tao has never been happier and freer than he is in those episode 8 moments with Elle, and it leaves him emotionally open to realize his feelings for her are changing.
We don’t know a lot about Tao’s back story and why he is the way he is. I have a headcanon theory that his dad left the family when he was young, leading to abandonment issues. In the show, his self-awareness takes 2 steps forward and 1 step back several times, which I think is honestly a realistic portrayal of teen emotional growth. Elle is there to love and guide him, sometimes by challenging him and sometimes by giving him the space to figure things out on his own.
Love him or hate him, Tao is a fascinating and complex character. Sometimes it seems like his emotional intelligence is abysmal, but he's smart enough to know that everything is awful without Elle. So there’s hope for him yet.

Thanks for the tags. Alas, comedy is more my thing which doesn't seem to be common among cdrama watchers so not sure my recs will help anyone. Special mention/shout-out to KO One aka Zhong Ji Yi Ban 终极一班 as a comfort series - watched it at least 4x. I'm so sad it's not on Netflix any more. The first season is my favorite because it feels really heartfelt along with having very childish humor. Other seasons weren't quite the same but still ok (in places.)
Comfort movies
The Blues Brothers
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Princess Bride
Drunken Master II
Young Frankenstein
My Neighbor Totoro
Since someone mentioned rec's I'll just put some of my top 7 k/c/tw-dramas as a bonus list - *excluding* the ones everyone recommends (NiF). I'm not sure these are comfort watches because I don't tend to rewatch cdramas.
Oh No! Here Comes Trouble 不良执念清除师 (perfect)
Ancient Detective 侠探简不知 (cries in cliffhanger)
Dear Diary 我的巴比伦恋人 (cute)
Once upon a time in Lingjian mountain 从前有座灵剑山 (silly)
Mystic Pop-up Bar (fav kdrama, but I don't watch many)
Love is Sweet 半是蜜糖半是伤 (good if you skip the 2nd cp. The only one I've watched more than once.)
Tie - Longest Day in Chang'An (stunning but ending is meh) and Hikaru no Go (2020 - very sweet)
thanks @spurious and @colonelshepparrrrd for the tag!
List 7 comfort films and tag 7 people:
1. Iron Giant
2. Ferngully: The Last Rainforest
3. Hunger Games
4. Easy A
5. Mean Girls
6. uhhhhhhhhhh idk i don't watch movies 😅

hiii!! I'm asking a bunch of amrev tumblers this- but do you have any favorite or recommendations of American revolution themed movies or series or anything?
The only related show I can think of at the top of my mind that is Amrev related is Turn: Washington's Spies on Netflix, though unfourtantely Netflix is being stupid and taking it down pretty soon but I still think you can find the full show online and watch it from there, but it wouldn't be the same. But that's the only period drama type show I have ever watched related to the Amrev. But I'd really recommend that show. I'm not sure about the movie side, I mean I don't watch a lot of TV to be honest. Besides the musical, Hamilton which I also recommend if you're just starting out but don't think all of the musical is accurate, or take it too seriously. The songs are a bop, yes, but there were also a lot of historical inaccuriaces that just drove me crazy haha. But if you're just starting out, I'd recommend the musical first and then move on to TURN, which is what I did. But I do have a lot of Amrev book recs that I have read under the cut.
1. Duty and Inclination by Rebecca DuPont. Honestly, it's a full novel of Laurens' and Hamilton's romantic relationship throughout the war and I honestly love it so much. I've read it twice and am strongly considering reading it a third time. It's just so well written and somewhat historically accurate in the time line and I just. JJSJSJS It's my comfort book, so I'd also recommend that. If you are interested in it, you have to purchase it off of Amazon. It isn't at a library or a book shop say Barns & Nobel, I checked. But it's worth the $20.
2. Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow. I'm currently reading that one. A lot of people have different opinions of it, but that book is what inspired Lin to make Hamilton and that book goes into full detail about Hamilton's personal and public life.
3. My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray, which I have read. It tells the story of Eliza through her eyes and it is well written and just...who doesn't love historical fiction
4. I, Eliza Hamilton by Susan Holloway Scott. Similar to My Dear Hamilton, but personally I think Eliza's and Hamilton's relationship at the beginning was a little bit rushed. But overall also really well written.
5. The War of Two: Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, and the Duel that Stunned the Nation by John Sedgwick. Also a great Amrev book rec, I just love how it alternates between Hamilton and Burr, like it isn't just a biography of Hamilton but also Burr. (I got that one for Christmas last year :) )
6. I also recommend George Washington's Indespensible Men by Arthur S. Lefkowitz which not only tells about Washington but also goes in depth of his aide-de-camp. I don't have that one nor have I read it but I've heard it's really well written and really good.
But that's all I could think of at the moment. If I have any more, I will reblog this and add to it, but anyone can give more suggestions if they have any!

FAVORITE SHOWS IN POSTERS
Well, we’re back for another installment of this tagged meme, this time for TV shows! I also stole this from/was indirectly tagged by @jcmorrigan. My taste in shows also differs a bit from my taste in movies, as I tend to like a lot of comedy shows with not as many horror ones. I’m not into shows as much as movies overall, but there are some that I am very passionate about so I picked twenty again. So, here we go for part 2, in order:
1. Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend Of Korra (2005-2014)
I'm including these as one show since they take place in the same universe and tell a continuation of the same overall plot. Altogether this is probably the best piece of media to ever exist, including movies. It has so many great characters and villains especially and some of the most epic sequences, charming humor and heartwarming moments ever. I've never met a person who didn't like these shows, even people who normally don't like cartoons. My dad, who is biased against animation? He loved it. My mother? She loved it, watched it with her multiple times. My grandmother? Loved it. My ex-boyfriend? Loved it. My best friend? Loved it. I dare anyone not to, and I'm so glad it's making a resurgence since it's on Netflix for a new generation to enjoy.
2. Black Butler (2008-2014)
I never was big into anime growing up and only really started watching anime when I was like 16 and above, but this is one of the exceptions because holy shit is it ever dark and epic. I'm not sure I'd really recommend it for kids, it's more of a teens and young adults kind of anime and that's probably why it's so good, because it isn't afraid to explore dark and mature topics and do it with all of the intensity and gravitas required to do said topics justice. It has lots of great characters, and the story of demons who make deals with children who have a dark side is fun to watch play out.
3. Seinfeld (1989-1998)
My dad was a huge fan of this show so I watched it growing up since I was a toddler and it became a classic for me. I've watched thw hole show through at least 8 times, and I'll never stop because it never gets old or boring. It's also my only comfort show when I'm having a panic attack because of one time a few years ago when I was having a drug-induced psychosis episode and watching it calmed me down, so now it's like the opposite of a trigger and whenever I'm having an episode or something I watch it to bring me back to reality. For that reason it's more than a show to me, it's a medical treatment and I'm forever grateful to it.
4. The Good Place (2016-2020)
The big four shows made my Michael Schur all made it on this post (The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office and Parks And Recreation), either in the main list of the honorable mentions, but this is my personal favorite of the four. It's so funny, quirky, relatable and basically tailor-made to suit my interests. Not only is it an entertaining and wholesome show, but I think watching it helped me come to terms with a lot of things like mortality, ethics, philosophy, religion and my relationships with other people. It gets alot of different viewpoints across and if you're a very analytical and philosophical person like me you'll probably enjoy seeing it all play out. Not to mention, every single character is 'favorite character' material. It's rare you find a show with no filler characters in the main cast, but I genuinely can't choose who is best.
5. Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-?)
Another of Michael Schur's shows, this one is just barely under The Good Place and to be honest it was tough to pick my favorite between the two because they're both equally funny. I know it's kind of controversial right now because of the whole law enforcement thing, but I actually think they do a good job of handling social issues in the show and remaining respectful of real-life systemic problems. As for the characters, this is another one of those shows where every single character is gold and I think that tends to be a trend among Schur's shows in general. He produces damn good comedy, and damn good characters. I can't wait to see what they bring next.
6. Rick And Morty (2013-?)
This is unfortunately one of those cases of 'great show, horrible fandom' and for that reason I don't get involved in the fandom even though I love the show. It's a shame because it really is a great show, so funny and, again, such good characters. I think it's a lot more accessible than the fandom likes to claim, so I'm hoping more people will give it a chance and not get put off by the intellectual elitism of the fandom because it does have some of the most entertaining and batshit crazy episodes ever, poking fun of some of the staples of science fiction in media while also poking fun of itself the whole time. Unlike the fandom, the show doesn't take itself seriously and that's enjoyable nowadays.
7. Orange Is The New Black (2013-2019)
While this show is a comedy, it is also a lot of other things and it's probably made me ugly-cry just as many times as it's made me laugh. Well, maybe not as often, but those few scenes (if you've watched the show then you know the ones I'm talking about) made me hysterically sob hard enough to be worth like fifty minor sads. But I didn't even mind because the show is just that good, and it makes you /feel/ something in a real way. Probably because of just how real it gets in terms of telling stories that happen all the time in the real world, sometimes with inevitably tragic endings. But these things do happen every day, and it's important to shine a light on that. It's not just representation for LGBTQ+ but also for POC, the neurodiverse, the poor, and many more. Give it a watch to broaden your perspective!
8. Big Mouth (2017-?)
This is probably the grossest show I've ever seen but by god is it ever funny. Maybe it's because I have an immature sense of humor or something, but I love this show. It definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea and I don't recommend you watch this show with anyone else around because it will get awkward. I think part of its appeal to me is that everyone I talk to who likes it considers it so relatable to their lives growing up but for someone like me who grew up on the autism and asexual spectrum and who was physically an early-bloomer by years, nothing about this show is relatable to me in any way so it makes it all the more crazy and bizarre watching how the people around me must have experienced things. Did y'all really have these experiences with puberty in middle school???
9. Dexter (2006-2013)
I recently heard that this show is coming back for a reboot soon and I'm so excited because this is my absolute favorite drama/thriller show, as evidenced by the fact that it's the highest one on the list so far that isn't a comedy. I love the idea of having a protagonist who is sort of a villain (or at least morally dubious), and the idea of a serial killer who only kills bad people is particularly satisfying for some reason. Maybe because he's the vigilante we all deserve and want in this unjust and evil world of modern times? Idk but the very premise of this show set it up for big things and aside from the ending I think it delivered consistently.
10. Once Upon A Time (2011-2018)
This show took us on some journeys, and you can't deny that. Sure, maybe it didn't always finish what it started and didn't always end in the most satisfying way, but part of its charm is that you didn't care because the experience was just so much fun. They took characters and stories that have been told to death and somehow managed to put a unique and unexpected twist on them, and that alone is admirable. Good twists, good villains, and pretty much every cliffhanger known to man will keep you hooked on binge-watching every episode.
11. RuPaul's Drag Race (2009-?)
A bit different than the other entries on my list in that it's not fiction but a reality competition show, but I couldn't leave Drag Race out because it's just so fucking iconic and perfect. Even when you disagree with the judges or can't stand a certain contestant you'll still be having a good time. It's got the personalities you love to love, the ones you love to hate, and the comedy that's completely meme-able. I mean just how much has this show contributed to pop culture and the internet? More than most of us, henny. I've watched every single season, even the international ones and all of the spinoffs. This show will probably be on for another thirty years when Ru is throwing shade from a hospital bed and I'll still be watching.
12. House (2004-2012)
Some people hate on this show, and I don't get it. I love House. Yes, he's an ass. That's the point. He's supposed to be unlikeable, and that's why I like him. Maybe because I always love the rude, sarcastic, misanthropic jerkass-genius characters for some reason. And I also love procedural shows, so it's a win-win. I also work in the healthcare field so it appeals to me for that reason too, because obviously the whole premise is outlandish which is what makes it funny. Of course it's not realistic for a hospital, so just enjoy the absurdity and don't get too hung up on the details of medical accuracy and professional ethics and you'll be fine.
13. The Office (2005-2013)
The third of Michael Schur's show and the last one that made the main list (sorry Parks And Rec, I love you too but there was just so many good shows to choose from and I saw you last so the nostalgia isn't as strong!) I don't think I need to hype this show up any, it's already a classic and you can't even turn around online without getting hit in the face by a dozen Office memes. You'll have to pry this show and it's relatable characters (especially Michael Scott) from my cold, dead hands.
14. All Hail King Julien/The Penguins Of Madagascar (2008-2017)
Like Avatar/Korra, I also consider this as one show for the sake of this list because it also takes place in the same universe (Madagascar, specifically) and I just couldn't choose one over the other because they're both so perfect. They're funny and I love all the characters (it cut out the weaker links of the Madagascar film series and just focuses on expanding the standout side-characters like King Julien and the penguins). It also delved into some lore, particularly the first show, and even though I didn't also agree with the directions it took (you may have seen me get salty about the ending because I cared too much), I can't deny how much I love it.
15. Bones (2005-2017)
One of the other scarce non-comedy shows on this list, it still has it's funny moments. It's also, like House, another procedural show that involves some medical stuff, but this time on a more scientific and forensic level which is even more interesting. It's nice to see a lead female with Asperger's, too. There's a lot of cop/law enforcement shows where they try to solve crimes, but this one is the best, and I'm saying that as a fan of CSI as well. Don't fight me on this, I'm right. Oh yes, it's corny, it's campy, it's cheesy, but I love every minute of it. Don't watch if you have a weak stomach though.
16. The Simpsons (1989-?)
We all grew up with this show, don't lie. It's been around longer than most people on tumblr have even been alive. Should it have ended seasons ago? Hell yes. But that doesn't take away what the first like 20 or so seasons gave us (there's a lot of argument about when the show jumped the shark, for me it wasn't until much later than the popular consensus). The characters are amazing, but the secret to the show's longevity is that they always return to status quo and there's comfort and nostalgia in that. Bart will still be in 4th grade when you're out there pushing 90. This show is persistent. This show is eternal. This show will outlive us all.
17. Ash Vs. Evil Dead (2015-2018)
Sorely underrated. This show is hilarious, gruesome and campy as hell and I love it. I don't think you necessarily have to watch the Evil Dead movies beforehand in order to get the plot of the show, although it would probably help. In my opinion this show ended way too soon and I'm hoping someday we'll get a comeback because Ash is the reluctant, self-absorbed hero we all need and it's 2020 so at this point there really might actually be a demon-zombie apocalypse and who's gonna save us then if not for the impulsive womanizer with a chainsaw for a hand?
18. Malcolm In The Middle (2000-2006)
Another show I grew up with, I don't think it gets as much credit as it deserves. It has some damn funny episodes and great characters, and it did a lot of the popular sitcom tropes before they were 'cool'. Some other great sitcoms, The Middle in particular, took a lot of influence from this show and it helped pave the way for the future of sitcoms at a time when they were about to make a comeback. If you want a good show about the real experiences of growing up, this is a much more accurate representation of the highs and lows of being an awkward tween from a dysfunctional home.
19. A Series Of Unfortunate Events (2017-2019)
Unlike most people I actually liked the movie version from the early 2000's, and I read the books growing up so I was excited when I saw there was a live action television adaptation of it on Netflix because I felt like they cancelled the movie franchise too soon. I was interested to see how new actors would handle the roles, and I was not disappointed. I wouldn't say I liked either portrayal of the characters better or worse, they both added their own twist to it and this show is a great and loyal adaptation to the books, probably because the author was so heavily involved. He knew just when to stick to the books and when to improve upon what he had done with the benefit of hindsight. This show is basically the books, but remastered.
20. Winx Club (2004-?)
Sort of an odd one out on this list, but I really love this show even as an adult and it may surprise you to learn it is still going on and the most recent season came out last year. They take big breaks sometimes in between seasons, but it's still going strong and in multiple countries. The only thing I don't like about watching this show is all the different and inconsistent dubs since the original show is Italian and each dub only goes for a couple seasons so by the time you get used to one set of voices/names for the characters oyu have to abruptly switch to another, but it's still worth it for the beautiful animation and cool characters (especially the villains!)

Quarantine Netflix Recs
Since were all at home watching Netflix I thought I would give my fav show/movie for every letter so everyone has something new to watch. Please send me your own recommendations or make your own alphabet list and tag me! Here goes:
A: Anne with an E- This modern take on Ann of Green Gables is quirky, fun, and dramatic. It has good music, writing and is all around a good watch. It deviates from the books a bit, but keeps the spirit.
B: Broadchurch- If you like crime dramas, this is for you. With one crime spanning the complete first season it delves deep into motive and emotions. David Tennet stars in this tense British mystery.
C: Cargo- A dystopian zombie apocalypse film set in Australia with a focus on human connection, and sacrifice. This is honestly so different than any other zombie movie I have seen in the best way.
D: Daybreak- Sticking with the apocalypse theme, daybreak is a humorous view on what happens when a nuke kills all the adults and leaves all the teenagers. Its like if high school was the whole world, but the world had also ended. Strong characters and ‘Ferris Bueller’ esc fourth wall breaks give this show something special.
E: The Worlds Most Extrodiary Homes- For a change of pace this mindlessly beautiful home reality show shows off architecture that could be classified as art and makes me wonder how anyone can actually live here. If you just want something with no stakes what so ever, this is the eye candy for you.
F: Frontier- A gritty, and dark period piece starring Jason Momoa as the badass outlaw working against the British in the Canadian wilderness. Half political, half survival drama this show focus on the fur trade during the 1700s as well as themes like revenge, family history and love.
I have to do two for F: Feel Good- This emotional comedy is about Mae, a gay, ex-addict comic and her previously straight girlfriend. It is real and emotional and hilarious. It’s filled with amazing characters and amazing writing and explores hard to talk about subjects, including addiction, love, coming out, and family and romanitc relationships.
G: Godless- A refreshing addition to the western genre. An injuryed outlaw, a headstrong widow, the whole of the wild west. Gritty and dramatic, this mini series is a must watch
H: How it Ends- Another apocalypse film, can you guys see a pattern? This one is less about the event however and more about family. A young man and his future father-in-law travel across the desolate wasteland of the USA to save his fiance.
I: I am Not Okay with This- A sci-fi coming of age story, based on a comic book, about a young girl who develops mysterious superpowers and is not okay with it. Also shes gay and in love with her best friend, its great.
J: John Mulaney- I assume everyone has already seen all of his specials, but if you haven’t go check them out! They are hilarious and relatable on a deep level.
K: Klaus- This is my new favorite Christmas movie. Its got wit, charm, great character development and beautiful animation. It’s the first original Christmas movie that I've liked. It gives a new spin to all your favorite Christmas traditions while holding on to the essence of the Christmas spirit.
L: Let it Snow- Based of the book co-written by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle this film is a feel good romance with quicky characters that have thier lives changed forever by a snowstorm in their small hometown. Friendships and romances are formed and tested as these teens figure out how to deal with what life throws at them.
M: Maniac: In an unlikely pair Emma Stone and Jonah Hill work amazingly well together in a drug trial that is supposed to cure all mental illness, of course not everything goes as planned. Our heroes go through multiple stages of the trial and discover their brains are miraculously linked. This series merges multiple genres into something surprisingly cohesive.
N: National Treasure- “I’m gonna steal the declaration of Independence”
O: The OA- A psychological sci-fi thiller about a blind girl who gets kidnapped and held prisoner by a mad scientist looking for other dimensions. The friends she makes along the way mean everything, but when she gets found not only are they missing, but she can see again.
P: Princess and the Frog- A cute Disney twist of the classic fairy tale. A young woman working hard to buy her own restaurant meets a prince that has been turned into a frog by a shady magic man. But when she kisses him he doesn’t turn human, she turns frog. Together they have to figure out how to get back to being human and along the way they learn what they really need.
Q: apparently I have never watched a single thing on Netflix that starts with Q. So Queer Eye I guess. I’ve never watched it, but I've heard good things.
R: The Rain- After a deadly virus is discovered in the rain, sister and brother, Simone and Rasmus are separted from thier family and hide in a bunker for 6 years. Once they are forced to emerge they discover the world is much different than how they left it and their family wasnt all they thought it was.
S: Sense 8- This sci-fi drama focuses on 8 people from all over the world connected by some kind of psychic link. As they discover the extent of thier new abilities they also find out they aren’t the only ones and some others aren’t so friendly. This series was made with so much love and divotion and it shows throughout. The character development and backstories are rich, the writing is witty and thoughtful and the representation and focus on love above all else is so refreshing.
T: Tallulah- This drama is dark and witty, while simultaneously being bright and uplifting. When a young drifter kidnaps a baby from a neglectful mother and pretends the baby is hers, her boyfriends mother takes them in. The story is about family and doing the right thing, even when you can’t find the right choice in the grey area.
U: The Umbrella Academy- This series based on a comic book written by Gerard Way is about superheroes with out being about superheroes. They don’t save the day. They can barely save themselves, oh and also the world. Numbered 1-7 these siblings all have their own issues and getting them to work together was the dying wish of their asshole of a father.
V: None? Anyone have any ideas?
W: The Witcher- This series, based on a video game based on a book, is about a mysterious monster hunter and the bard he meets a long the way. Somehow full of action and also full of humor this series delves deep into the history and culture of this fantasy world.
X, Y, Z: I got nothing guys, but thanks for reading all the way down here. I hope you watch some of these shows and that you send some of your own recs to me!
Also None of these photos or shows or anything are mine and all belong to their rightful owners
