I would push back on a few of the things here. I'm sure no one intends to create strawmen to tear down or propose a bad faith argument, but I feel some of the statements here get close.
The argument hinges on the anecdote of the volunteer who had a prolonged, public, heated discussion with others in a channel devoted to talking about the conflict between Israel and Palestine (the fact this channel existed in the first place in any semi-professional environment is the real wild part. Free Palestine, for sure, but this channel is an HR nightmare boiling pot).
All volunteers were addressed after the argument, which was again, heated on all sides. The story that a volunteer was let go or run out for a slack status boils it down to a bad faith argument. Any and every volunteer involved in that argument would be brought up to HR in the US, and most probably terminated. Every individual was derogatory and demeaning to one another.
Regarding political statements, saying that a non-profit in the US is allowed to make political statements as long as it does not reference a specific political candidate is such a significant oversimplification as to be a strawman. The political activity restraints and the legislative activity restraints are two separate topics from the IRS.
I would recommend this seminar from the IRS, which goes into the details of what lobbying is allowed or not. About halfway through the seminar, under the tab issue advocacy: "On the other hand, it may advocate for or against a particular issue, as long as that advocacy furthers its mission." It continues on to say that you don't need to mention a candidate, a platform, or even a certain political stance. When the IRS determines the mission of your nonprofit, they are looking at the utilitarian function of the org:
"A clearly articulated mission, adopted by the board of directors, serves to explain and popularize the charity’s purpose and guide its work. It also addresses why the charity exists, what it hopes to accomplish, and what activities it will undertake, where, and for whom."
For those linking other issue advocacy OTW has done in the past, the OTW is able to argue to the IRS that the topics they advocated are directly prescient to the org's very specific goal regarding transformative works. I suppose they could make the argument that protecting a Palestinian's right to exist would also protect their right to create transformative works, but I don't think the IRS would buy that.
More importantly, no lawyer would advise that OTW come out with a stance on this topic. One might think the IRS wouldn't consider a stance against genocide a political argument, but uhh. Actually look back at that sentence. Does anyone really think the IRS would not consider a stance against genocide to be political? The OTW response about comment moderation addresses the user's concern about pile-ons in a professional way.
In conclusion,
the OTW is not zionist for having some HR volunteer censure all parties involved in a public argument about an armed conflict.
The OTW is not zionist for not taking a stance on the armed conflict -- those who argue this would fall under protected issue advocacy on OTW's part have the right to this opinion, but very few lawyers would agree with them.
This doesn't mean I agree with the OTW handling of these issues. Zixin Z. issue handling was egregious. Their HR "department" needs an immediate dressing down from whatever cultural org investigation they contracted.
But let's not boil down these long internal discussions into strawmen arguments for us to deconstruct at our pleasure. It wasn't just about a slack status. IRS rules for nonprofits aren't just about political campaigns. Constructive criticism requires all parties to examine their own language for logical fallacies.
on ao3's current fundraiser
apparently it’s time for ao3’s biannual donation drive, which means it’s time for me to remind you all, that regardless of how much you love ao3, you shouldn’t donate to them because they HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY AND NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH IT.
we’ve known for years that ao3 – or, more specifically, the organization for transformative works (@transformativeworks on tumblr), or otw, who runs ao3 and other fandom projects – has a lot of money in their “reserves” that they had no plans for. but in 2023, @manogirl and i did some research on this, and now, after looking at their more recent financial statements, i’ve determined that at the beginning of 2024, they had almost $2.8 MILLION US DOLLARS IN SURPLUS.
our full post last year goes over the principles of how we determined this, even though the numbers are for 2023, but the key points still stand (with the updated numbers):
when we say “surplus”, we are not including money that they estimate they need to spend in 2024 for their regular expenses. just the extra that they have no plan for
yes, nonprofits do need to keep some money in reserves for emergencies; typically, nonprofits registered in the u.s. tend to keep enough to cover between six months and two years of their regular operating expenses (meaning, the rough amount they need each month to keep their services going). $2.8 million USD is enough to keep otw running for almost FIVE YEARS WITHOUT NEW DONATIONS
they always overshoot their fundraisers: as i’m posting this, they’ve already raised $104,751.62 USD from their current donation drive, which is over double what they’ve asked for! on day two of the fundraiser!!
no, we are not trying to claim they are embezzling this money or that it is a scam. we believe they are just super incompetent with their money. case in point: that surplus that they have? only earned them $146 USD in interest in 2022, because only about $10,000 USD of their money invested in an interest-bearing account. that’s the interest they earn off of MILLIONS. at the very least they should be using this extra money to generate new revenue – which would also help with their long-term financial security – but they can’t even do that
no, they do not need this money to use if they are sued. you can read more about this in the full post, but essentially, they get most of their legal services donated, and they have not, themselves, said this money is for that purpose
i'm not going to go through my process for determining the updated 2024 numbers because i want to get this post out quickly, and otw actually had not updated the sources i needed to get these numbers until the last couple days (seriously, i've been checking), but you can easily recreate the process that @manogirl and i outlined last year with these documents:
otw’s 2022 audited financial statement, to determine how much money they had at the end of 2022
otw’s 2024 budget spreadsheet, to determine their net income in 2023 and how much they transferred to and from reserves at the beginning of 2024
otw’s 2022 form 990 (also available on propublica), which is a tax document, and shows how much interest they earned in 2022 (search “interest” and you’ll find it in several places)
also, otw has not been accountable to answering questions about their surplus. typically, they hold a public meeting with their finance committee every year in september or october so people can ask questions directly to their treasurer and other committee members; as you can imagine, after doing this deep dive last summer, i was looking forward to getting some answers at that meeting!
but they cancelled that meeting in 2023, and instead asked people to write to the finance committee through their contact us form online. fun fact: i wrote a one-line message to the finance committee on may 11, 2023 through that form, when @manogirl and i were doing this research, asking them for clarification on how much they have in their reserves. i have still not received a response.
so yeah. please spend your money on people who actually need it, like on mutual aid requests! anyone who wants to share their mutual aid requests, please do so in the replies and i’ll share them out – i didn’t want to link directly to individual requests without permission in case this leads to anyone getting harassed, but i would love to share your requests. to start with, here's operation olive branch and their ongoing spreadsheet sharing palestinian folks who need money to escape genocide.
oh, and if you want to write to otw and tell them why you are not donating, i'm not sure it’ll get any results, but it can’t hurt lol. here's their contact us form – just don’t expect a response! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
#feel free to examine mine!#OTW HR “department” does suck#But when we argue why they suck#We will have a cogent argument made better by disussion#and not glib gotcha phrases#anyhow free palestine

my litmus test for having morals and ethics as a person on earth these days is you have to be sometimes right or wrong in other social media (twitter, reddit, tiktok, instagram, etc.) but always correct on tumblr. if you're always on X and Reddit and people like what you say, red flag.
oh, and support for people in struggling countries because of aggressors, western imperialists, and colonizers is a must.

Hello, I hope you're doing well.. My name is Mahmoud, and I'm a 17-year-old from Gaza. The ongoing war has devastated my city, destroyed my school, and made daily life incredibly challenging. Despite these hardships, I'm determined to continue my education and build a better future. I've been given a chance to study abroad, but I need help to cover the costs of leaving Gaza, as well as living expenses and other essentials abroad once the crossing opens. If you can, please consider donating or sharing, your kindness can truly make a difference. Thank you. https://gofund.me/bd3ccf0b

Isreal has been violent in response to everything, so the only difference here is a new kind of excuse.
All apartheid walls must fall.

"What happens when a genocide falls out of the news cycle?
For those of us in the West? …Relief. Don’t shy away from these thoughts. It’s my job, as an artist, to force us to be honest. We silently feel relieved. We feel exhausted by the weight of having to care about people we ultimately feel we can do nothing for. True radicalization, the kind of change of thought that translates into changed action, only happens for a precious few. The vast majority of onlookers never really wanted to move from their position as spectator; they just fervently wished for a happier ending. So when there is less to look at (because the news cycle needs fresh blood; because the people providing live, on the ground coverage have been killed; when there’s less to look at because we have seen so many clips and photographs and accounts of visceral deaths that looking only makes us numb anyhow), we turn our eyes to the easiest narrative of hope that our screens can provide. We accept a manufactured happy ending.
And now, I am watching a happy ending be manufactured. Because the empire has allowed us our small, Western tantrums at the genocides necessary to keep the machines of imperialism going. It is now time to move on and be placated with a victory story— something we feel we have a sense of control over! Never mind the fact that we don’t live in a direct democracy! Vote! Vote out the fascism! The bombs will still drop and the children will still starve to death (if they survive the Israeli snipers aiming for their heads) and the famines will still be manufactured and the raw resources stripped from the colonies but we did it! We managed to keep ourselves comfortable.
This is the part where everyone boos me. There’s usually one section in essays like these that get under people’s skin, so just to set the tone: I’m not saying this because I want to make you angry, I am saying it because I think it’s a useful truth to consider.
We, the “reasosnable” US masses, only dislike Trump because he embarrasses us.
He has a flagrant disregard of the rules of presidential diplomacy that disgraces our reputation. Policy-wise, his era was really not distinct from the current Biden administration or presidents beforehand. He’s someone who says the quiet parts of running an imperialist ethno-state out loud, which emboldens the radicalized right, and it’s overtly racist, and those people were already organizing for a hostile takeover! We need someone to blame for the radical left’s lack of concrete, sustained mobility and so we love to hate him. We hate him because he embarrasses us, not because he’s worse! Harris is only the better choice because she’s prettier, and more relatable, and has the right sort of gravitas. She doesn’t embarrass us. We are willing to trade liberation for spectacle, but it must be a spectacle that makes us feel good at the end of the day.
Do you know how I know?
We should be outraged that the Vice President of an administration aiding an abetting the most documented genocide in human history can peacefully run for office. That is a sham. That is embarrassing. Especially when that person has stated they do not plan on enforcing any sort of concession from the murderous Israeli regime. There has been absolutely no mention of the other human rights crises and violations happening elsewhere amongst the colonized world— the ongoing conflicts in across Black and Indigenous nations that we tend to tack onto Free Palestine to show we absolutely do care about Black people outside of Western imperial cores. haha. We have made no demands because we, the masses, have no demands outside of feeling like everything will be okay again. We don’t actually care about these people as people. We care about them as symbols of liberation and as litmus tests to prove we, in the hard times, would “do the right thing.” If we cared about them as people, submitting to someone still pleased to orchestrate their deaths, which VP Harris is doing right now, would be unthinkable. We would be using this time of mass disillusionment to destabilize the empire’s business as usual. We want spectacle more than we want actual liberation for ourselves or for the people that we say we are in solidarity with. It doesn’t make any sense.
The only thing guaranteed to be worse under Trump is the spectacle. And we care more about spectacle more than we care about tangible, material change. Another Trump presidency is not a happy ending that will allow us to take our minds of the incessant dying of the third world. And we want something to distract us. We want something comfortable. We want something that we can look to and say, “We did it!! And we already went to all these marches. We're so tired.”
We are supposed to, we are primed to want to accept whatever happy ending the empire orchestrates, because most of us believe in the ability to be comfortable as a divine right. If we're powerless except for the vote, and we usher in somebody that does the spectacle better, that brings us back to a state of psychological comfort: even if we know that everything's not all right, we can feel like everything's all right. IImagining ourselves as powerless is uncomfortable in a way that a new, smiling, voted-in happy ending can solve. Imagining ourselves as powerful enough to stop the machine is excruciating— that means we would have to forgo comfort altogether. And consistent comfort is the only thing that we have. It's consistent running water and no power outages and subsidized corn and subsidized fuel, okay?
I think a lot of us have given up the desire to imagine ourselves as temporarily embarrassed millionaires. Soaring homelessness, economic depravity, the rising cost of food essentials makes it difficult to delude ourselves we’re this close to being rich. It’s become commonplace in pop culture to disparage the ultra-wealthy; most of us don’t imagine we will make it there in our lifetime. Most of us do imagine ourselves just a few steps from comfort. “I don’t want to be rich! I just want to be comfortable.” Conveniently forgetting the price of US comfort is depravity in the colonies. We want to forget what that comfort costs. We want to laugh. We want that head empty Kamala laugh! Girl, we want to laugh. We as a whole never wanted liberation because it's uncomfortable. And I would actually respect everybody cheering for Kamala Harris a whole hell of a lot more if you were just willing to admit that outright instead of pretending like we're actually doing something good.
The foolish concede to corruption.
I am reading Mama Ellen’s memoir at the moment and it is rivoting. Most definitely a text I will read twice. If you are not new to Threadings., I have spoken on more than one occasion on how we in the US are slowly gearing up for civil war. Right now, war is enacted in courts and in policymaking in various attacks on healthcare, reproductive rights, rights to education, the gutting of public school systems, the systematic underpaying of teachers, and actually of all care workers. Thinking about the chronic nurse strikes that have cropped up and been left mostly ignored since COVID has continued to decimate our healthcare infrastructure. More and more of our taxes are going to making sure that we keep the US armed to the teeth and not to making sure that life in the US for the working class is bearable in any way. We're watching the slow deterioration of society and (as Dr. CBS pointed out), the increased militarization of everyday happenings.
Conceding to corruption does not keep the peace. It allows for said corruption to continue its abuses.
I am not usually so cynical.
But truly, what the fuck. What the fuck. Remember when I said that every American is addicted to something?
The only perk of being working class in the Western world is our unlimited access to comfort? The comfort of denial continues her reign as the sweetest drug of all. We choose to cast our eyes towards the fiction of a happy ending rather than disrupting the machines that cause all this misery in the first place. It’s been a good couple months of us looking in the eye the costs of imperialism, the price of all this endless comfort, and instead of looking towards the growing rebellions across the colonies— something that should actually bring us comfort and joy, the knowledge that others bite back their regimes— we cast our gaze to these ludicrous what if scenarios. What if we can just push Harris left? What if we call her a war-mongering arbritor of the police state after she’s elected? Won’t she be better than Trump?
I don’t care who the hell is wielding all the blood money. What I want is a child. I want children in this life. And I am not, I simply refuse to tell my kid, “Yes, I did voluntarily cheer on this woman who I knew would happily continue to suck the bone marrow from the colonized world, even while knowing she would do that very thing! The other option embarrassed me.” Because that’s all this is. The other option embarrasses us.
There is no popular president that would create the revolutionary policy and world-making that guarantees our collective safety. Does not exist. The job of the president of the United States is quite literally antithetical to that idea, and any progessively minded one would be working to make the position obsolete. There is no such thing as a good president. I am watching the youth of Kenya rise over and over again to force their federal bodies into caring for them. And they are dying at these protests, literally under live ammunition, going missing, bodies turning up in slums. And here we are raising money for Kamala. Trump doesn’t embarrass me! Y’all do! Those of Myanmar have been fighting a revolutionary war for years that much of the professional class has decided to take active part in rather than fleeing. And our professional class is raising money for Kamala.
EMBARRASSING!
We (in the West, as a whole) do not actually care about freedom, really because most of us cannot imagine what it would be like to be uncomfortable for the rest of our lives. It humbles me that we offer ourselves— we offer our minds— to be sold like this. I have so much revolutionary optimism until I open fuckin twitter."

This morning I watched a video about Motaz Azaiza. An interview for AlJazeera.
And Wallahi, my tears wouldnt stop.
First, I saw the loss on his face. Then I saw the pain in his eyes. Then I heard the desperation in his voice.
Just a man, fighting all odds for his right to survive.
Now. Does that sound familiar?
Right to survive. In 2024.
Even cats and dogs have more rights than Palestinians.
To be killed or to kill.
That is the choice they have.
This is not normal. Humans killing other humans without valid reasons can never be normal. Wake up.
Only when you have been in his shoes, will you understand his strength. His strength to find hope in midst of extreme cruelty. His ability to speak for his people. I cannot imagine being him. The survivors guilt he must have. The pain of seeing his loved ones die. And to see dismembered dead bodies. To take the photography in hopes someone stops the madness. How terrifying. All i know is I would have broken down in this scenario. My mind will be torn to shreds. May Allah Swt keep him strong.
Motaz you may not believe it, but you have always been a hero. Your unstoppable willpower, may Allah Swt preserve it.
I dont know the desperation you must feel right now Motaz.
Senseless killing.
May you and me be guided to the right path.
To you who is reading this. Our days on this earth is not permanent. We all end up 6 feet under anyhow. Understand that this was never about religion. Muslims fight for them due to the humanity in their hearts. Palestinians have many religions and sects. So this is a genocide.Make the right choice. Today it is them. Tomorrow it may be us.
Maybe all the ways we fought for the Palestinians will come back to us in good ways.
Be the voice.
Be there for them.
Palestine. You are now part of my soul
From the river to the sea, palestine will be free.
In sha allah

Reem (ريم) in Arabic means “Gazelle",
a symbol of tenderness, purity and a sign of beauty.
Rasil (رسيل) in Arabic means "Fresh and pure water",
symbolizing softness, delicacy, and Yusr (ease).
We have all heard the story of the child Reem, who was martyred in Gaza by the bombing of the Zionist entity, and today we will talk about a similar story of the child Rasil, who was martyred at the hands of the terrorist Rapid Support militia, who are no different from the Zionists.
Her story is very sad and what happened to her is painful for all of us.
Children six years old and younger are killed without mercy. They cannot find anyone to help them and hide under cars for fear of the actions of terrorist criminals supported by one of the countries, and the world is still silent about them!
Be helpful to Sudan, Palestine, Gaza and also Syria and do not ignore what is happening to them

Facebook and TikTok are NOTORIOUS for this weirdo behavior applied only to small businesses.
It’s the boomers over on Facebook making up stories and dirty deleting threads when asked for receipts.
And it’s Gen z over on tiktok calling everyone a dropshipper and dirty deleting when the artist shows their process.
I would be so embarrassed to come at a small business like this without even a cursory glance at their content or website.
Anyhow, perhaps reserve some of this energy for megacorporations? If you wanna talk about “corporate consent” then let’s hit up Amazon and Starbucks for union busting.

it is extremely important that all of my mutuals know that the zionist trolls that i just brought up in the tags originally came up to me because they were giving out shirts that were patterned like tacky christmas sweaters that said “Make China Great Again” and had Joe Biden’s face in the center. I was actually the one to bring up the conflict, saying that I wasn’t interested because Joe Biden isn’t interested in making Palestine great. The guy talking to me turned on me hard and we got into a “debate” where I didn’t really “school” them but it didn’t matter cuz their arguments were stupid. Anyhow, when we reached a point where neither of us wanted to talk anymore, the guy said “Look, I don’t know what pronouns you use, but these are mine, so i wanted to give you this free shirt:”
So, i now have… this… which is funny for reasons it was not intended to be.
I just need to make sure that I look queer as possible whenever I wear it.

Aight so I know this is the absolute LEAST concerning thing about the Palestinian genocide right now (which, I've probably forgotten to mention in my own words till now:
FREE PALESTINE, FUCK ISRAEL, AND UNFOLLOW ME RIGHT THE FUCK NOW IF YOU SUPPORT THAT GENOCIDAL FUCK NETANYAHU AND HIS ASSHOLE CRONIES).
BUT. In light of them asking us out west to boycott several specific companies, the one in particular I wanna talk about is SodaStream.
Because uh. I'm gonna be so fuckin fr right now cause I thought those guys had gone outta business. Like. My parents bought one cause of the stupid fuckin commercials from when it first came out (admittedly, I asked them to, because I was maybe 7 or 8, and "ooooh at-home soda machine sounds coooooool"), and we all fuckin hated it. And not even like the one part was bad and I grew to like it later, no we ALL (me, my parents, and my brother) tried it multiple times with multiple different flavors of those fuckin pint bottles of syrup you had to buy from like Bed Bath And Beyond or something, and it was all fucking NASTY. It tasted like if sewage waste was in a lead-lined shipping container on the same transport as a can of whatever soda.
We dispised the loathsome thing, to the point where that fuckin soda machine vanished into the ether sometime between us moving and the last time we saw one of those shitty syrups on the shelves. And the latter was well over 7 years ago I think (idk time is hard), so I honestly have no clue in the world where that piece of filth ended up. Nor have I seen anything with a SodaStream logo on it for the last forever.
Like. It's literally the same thing as the fucking Juicero, just for soda. And also like the Juicero, you can't find the bottles of syrup for it literally anywhere, so I assumed that it took the route of Juicero (which is to say, directly into the business void, never to be seen again). The fact it's apparently still around is crazy enough, but the fact they have enough money to be such a powerful influence that Palestinian people are like "hey stop buying from these guys, they're actively making things worse for us" is straight-up mind-boggling to me.
Maybe it's just my ass being firmly planted under a rock, but if anybody would like to let me know where these peddlers of gross have been hiding/exactly why they're being boycotted (not to say I won't or that everyone shouldn't, by the by! Just asking if anyone knows some context plz and thank u), that'd be really cool!
Anyhow uh I'm sorry this one was long and rambling, I've been sick all weekend and time is a meaningless soup rn. Take care, and if somehow someone from Palestine ends up seeing this... I see you, I love you, and I'm so, so sorry for everything being done to you and your people. Know that there are millions upon millions of people all over the world crying out for your justice and for your lives, and that those people refuse to leave you to suffer alone so long as we can help it. I hope my little rant at least made you smile a little, and I wish you every ounce of whatever strength you need to get through this. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

We are a news-listening family and mom is an English major so she has the ability to like. Process information and interpret it. I’ve mentioned offhand going to protests and stuff and it’s not like I hide the flag in my locker, so it’s sort of been assumed knowledge that we are all on the same page about the Palestinian Genocide cf it being an ongoing horror paid for by us and plastered over every screen in existence. Because it’s been 4 months, and even people who aren’t in the loop run into the stories that even CBC can’t plaster over. There is a Free Palestine sticker on my bus stop bench in the suburbs a 30-minute drive from anything. Anyhow that’s been the status quo, but yesterday she says ‘is it just me. Or has the reporting on Palestine just been…really really bad’ Yes. Correct. Yep. How on earth has it taken this long to be sure
#not that I was avoiding the topic but it’s just not something I bring because we’re on the same page#it’s just that I didn’t know she was still approaching CBC reporting as ‘news’ and not ‘propaganda du jour’. no wonder she was feeling#like she was going insane.#kelsey rambles#there are some good reporters working there. there are some bad ones. there are a lot of incompetent ones. and editorial also a mixed bag

EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THIS.
If I had a "legal" link to it I would post that, but I don't. You might be able to find it in places that have Discovery Channel programming, but streaming services these days are so balkanised I've just said fuck it to all of them because I can't afford it. *shrugs*
Anyhow, this is a six-part documentary series about how and why people become radicalised and how they can deradicalise.
Remember, you are not immune to radicalisation.
Lately--because of the bombings in Palestine, and the US elections, and all of the vitriol I've seen spilled all over this site as a result of the intersection between them--I've seen a lot of people out there tweaking justified anger and rage in the direction of hate. I watched this today and it calmed me down a lot. (Although there is some very upsetting footage in some parts of the series, particularly the one dealing with crimes against humanity.)
The series examines the biological and psychological basis of both hate and altruism and shows us examples of people who were radicalised into hate groups of various kinds and how that happened, and also how they came out of that. It's important information to have in your toolkit right now, and watching this will help you spot attempts to radicalise you and also help you avoid succumbing to that.

I know this current strike week is almost over, but if it isn't apparent already I'm not gonna be censoring Palestine news anymore. I'd been putting it behind the #war and #genocide tags, but it's my duty to get this info to everyone I can reach.
If you have a specific trigger that needs censoring (graphic imagery, news about specifically children getting hurt, etc. (and I censor these anyhow because they affect me pretty badly)), you can absolutely bring it to my attention; otherwise, it's gonna be all out in the open.
Free Palestine. Free Congo. Free Sudan. Free Armenia. Free Yemen. Free Kashmir. Free Lebanon. Free Pakistan. Free Afghanistan. Free the Uyghurs. Free Haiti. Free Tigray. Free Turtle Island. Free every prisoner at the Mexican-American border. Free the prisoners serving life sentences for minor drugs offenses. Free everyone who I owe a massive apology to for slipping my mind.
There cannot be true freedom unless EVERYONE is free. 🍉🇵🇸🍉

Andie in case no one has done this yet I just wanted to formally thank you for standing up for Jews lately. You're one of the only Lone Star blogs doing it, and definitely the biggest one, and it's just really so appreciated. It is tough times being Jewish in this fandom. Even the people defending Ronen, most of them don't seem to be doing it out of any kind of love or respect for Jewish people but more just because they want to return to stanning their fav without guilt and are trying to bully people into shutting up about their disagreement with his social media activity. I loved this fandom but right now it feels a lot like this fandom doesn't love me back. Even though I am an American Jew who has never supported what Israel is doing and has been to two protests the last few weeks. Its doubly hard to struggle with the one Jewish state letting us down so enormously while also having to face the fact that so many people in what I thought was a fandom community seems really happy to act like Jews deserved what Hamas did and that our pain doesn't deserve any consideration in the fight to free Palestine. I'm sure it hasn't been easy for you to publicly care about us in this climate and I just really wanted to thank you for doing it anyhow And thank you for linking that medium article, I read it and I sobbed. It explained so much of what I'm feeling right now.
This is unnecessary but very kind 💛 I’m so sorry it feels like this right now. I hope it gets better soon.
And here is the medium article if anyone else wants to read it.
