How do your different A’s feel about Beyond?

I LOVE THIS QUESTION, ANYWAY

Eve had no strong feelings about Beyond, he was someone she knew, they were never close, but he never did anything mean to her either. They'd team up for group projects, mostly because he was one of the only people smart enough to keep up with her.

Anya and Beyond had a contradictory relationship. Sometimes they got along very well, other times it felt like she hated him with a passion. This was mostly because he reminded her of L, and she had complicated feelings about L. They were the kind of friends who'd be attached at the hip one day and trying to kill each other the next. It really depended on how her day was going.

Adrien liked Beyond. He made them laugh when everything seemed to suck, and she appreciated his sheer tenacity and drive. However, Adrien was an emotionally distant person, so this affection they held for B was mostly kept quiet on their end. If someone saw her and him interact, they'd think she was sick of him. But Adrien themself didn't feel that way, they were just bad at emotions.

Aleksei hated him, less for his personality and more for what he represented. From their perspective, Beyond was just an extention of their tormentor, and an irritating one at that. He was an obstacle, he was competition, and they never quite managed to adjust to life in the Wammy's House the way he did. They'd say they hate him, but in reality, they resented him for what was out of both of their controls.

Aren was fascinated by Beyond. He was so confident in both his oddities and his lifestyle, something that Aren himself couldn't quite accomplish. He could never find it within himself to be jealous of B, so instead he was interested in what kind of person he was. This did lead to a mild sense of entitlement on Aren's end, he felt like he deserved to know Beyond's thoughts and feelings on everything, and before everyone else got to know them. But that was just how he was with all his friends.

Alison found Beyond endearing, but in a very condescending way. She looked down on him, as Alison looked down on everyone who wasn't herself or L. But he did feel a kindred spirit within his backup, after all, they were both so desperate for L's attention. A gained a special interest in him when she realized he had the eyes. Alison had fully intended to make the eye deal himself, but Beyond had gotten them without even trying... now that would make a useful tool for Kira.

Avery and Beyond are in love. Sort of. An unusual, half queerplatonic love, but love nonetheless. They live together, she finds comfort in seeing his face. He's her best friend, and they really do think that if he wasn't around, they'd have gone off the deep end. Fortunately for Avery, he is there, and she hasn't gone off the deep end. This is the universe where they get to be happy.

I do genuinely think it's the funniest thing that despite having had a special interest in Spider-Man since I could crawl (I already had one by the time the first film came out, at which point I was two years old), I have never in my life been able to get into a comic run of Peter's, but can easily blow through Spidey adjacent titles like it's nothing.

Turning this on its head. Anya has all but given up. She is even thinking of leaving town. Has everything packed in her truck and sets out for the open road. She’ll never feel this way about another woman again.

On the other side of town, Raven’s stops by Luna’s place and sees that she is home, but through the partially open curtains, finds Luna isn’t alone.

The cry from inside comes from Echo. Luna is fucking her. Raven is pissed until her heart remembers Anya, and goes to see her and just misses Anya leaving.

Tragic! Sick! I cry! Lemme make it worse 🫣🤭

Bouncing off of this, what happens if Raven is torn between chasing after Anya and leaving her be? And what happens if she ultimately decides to let her go? Because if Raven stops to think about it all, she’ll know after everything that it isn’t fair to ask Anya to open her heart back up. It’s wrong to ask her to painstakingly piece all the broken shards back together simply because Raven has decided she’s ready now.

So, in the end, Anya will leave, clueless to the battle raging inside Raven. And Raven will let her go, breaking her heart to spare another’s. All the while keeping in mind that old adage about the things one loves coming back to them. A year or so will pass without much fanfare. Raven won’t date anyone, feeling far too sick to her stomach at the prospect of sharing her bed with anyone other than the girl she’s been in love with since adolescence. She’ll continue to work some mindless job in the heart of their sleepy town. Busying herself as much as possible to avoid being swamped with thoughts of the love she missed out on. The leaves will begin to change colors. Shedding their deep green for a more amber-brown shade that reminds her so much of her favorite person’s eyes. Leaving her both happy and sad at the same time. The perfect combination of bitter and sweet.

Occasionally, she’ll hear Lexa mention Anya. It’s never done with any sort of malicious intent. She doesn’t bring the woman up to remind Raven of her failings. It’s nothing more than the casual sharing of information with those whom love her sister. And in this new world that just feels so utterly devoid of all things Anya, Raven lives for these updates. Because while it does pain her to think of the girl, to think of what they could’ve had or what they could’ve been, it also brings her great comfort to be reminded that the other girl is out there. Living. Breathing. Healing.

In those minuscule little moments, she hangs off of Lexa’s every word. A wave of calm washes over her when she hears the simplest of things like:

“Anya sent me a postcard the other day.”

or

“She called this morning…she sounds happy.”

It’s not much. The statements are open-ended and lack great detail, but it’s good enough for Raven. It is enough for Raven because all she’s ever wanted was for Anya to be happy.

And when Anya finally returns home after what has felt like a century apart, and they finally come face to face after all this time, she can tell Anya is happy. It's written all over her. Her happiness is plain to see, and perhaps it has something to do with the woman hanging off her arm. The same woman who is sporting a gorgeous diamond ring on her left hand.

Super Cream 64 v6 Update Patch Notes

Unless mentioned, updates listed will be featured for all versions. General Fixes/Updates

Opening logo has been updated

Dialog has been updated to address typos and new changes (thank you Saralene for the help!)

Legacy Puppycam camera has been readded and set to default. Can be changed at anytime in Options > Camera. Big thank you to AloXado320 (and SM64ex-Alo in general) for implementing this suggestion.

(PC/Switch) A brand new config file called cream64config.txt will generate instead of using the default sm64config.txt to prevent conflict with other mods. You may need to reconfig your binds and settings if you've played previous builds. The new config file is still located in the same folder as the previous config.

Game will no longer crash from landing after a triple jump. A fix carried over from SM64ex-alo.

Cheese follow code has been updated. Cheese will now spawn in the Castle Grounds and disappear when the ending cutscene starts.

Camera readjust whenever the player landed from flying in the default/lakitu cam has been fixed. Leftover code from Chao Bandstand was causing the issue back when flying put you into Wing Cap Cam. - The following levels affected will now behave properly whenever you landed: Big Boo's Haunt, any level that used 8 Directional Cam, the aquarium room inside the castle and any Eggman fight.

Melancholy Mines (formally Cavern of the Metal Cap): - Added a floor to make advancing to the upper level much easier - Removed a spot that could cause softlocks and replaced it with a wall grate.

Mission Street (formally Secret Aquarium): - Minor updates to fix some collision and remove some geometry - (PC/Switch) Added two Beatmania IIDX machines & a Pop'N Music machine in the arcade inside the theater with new music to accompany them. - (PC/Switch) "Is it me or did that strange Accelgor in the window look at me funny?"

Big Boo's Haunt: - King Boo Boom's hitbox has been adjusted to actually fit the model. - This also means the Big Boo in the merry-go-round now has that same hitbox so keep that in mind.

Music & SFX

Music have been updated for: - File Select - Melancholy Mines - Post-End Credits

Silver's voice quip has been updated to actually be from him. Previous was from Trunks from Xenoverse cause it was funny.

Added new noise whenever the player gets squished and takes damage.

All but a handful of outfits now have unique star collecting jingles, barring a few repeats with some. The few left will use the default jingle.
