Wow, that's a whole other repost to the one I thought it was going to be, lol. It's been reposted to TikTok once before, and I'm also not surprised this person got it from Reddit, where I doubt I was credited either.

At the end of the day I appreciate the heads up but there's nothing I can really do about it. The most helpful thing anyone can do is to leave comments on the reposts to provide credit,* because if artists ever try and comment then we pretty invariably get attacked. Don't be mean or aggressive, that just builds their animosity towards the artists, but I do think people respond positively to outside pressure to do the right thing 🤷

*Remember to make sure there's enough context - eg. something like "art by @ landegart on Twitter" is more searchable/useful than "artist is Landeg" to someone on TikTok who has no idea who I am haha

So i had a memory in my dream last night of being a large shape-shifting white and blue fox with a misty form and two tails (like the image above). It's been plaguing my mind. It's the first time I've drempt of a memory. I've always had a bit of a connection to foxes, but saying i was just a fox, therian felt wrong. I am a polytherian (Black wolf, Crow, maine coon cat, and an octopus) but i think i might also be a Kitsunekin. I did a bit of research, and the 'Kaze Kitsune' felt closest to what i felt. Instead of answering the several news asks concerned about bots again, I’ll just say here:

The swiftness with which votes have been coming in for this poll seem, in my opinion, perfectly believable. Specifically, I was told of someone watching roughly 150 votes new votes come in over 10 minutes, but in the context of how the rest of the entire competition has gone, to me that just seems regularly plausible. Especially considering how in the first moments of the poll going up, at midnight, it had already garnered 32 votes in 5 minutes. Again, at a time of day when a large percentage of the voters would’ve been unavailable.

Considering the circumstances—people knew about this 2 days in advance, it’s already the talk of both fandoms, everyone voting themselves would tell everyone they know to vote immediately, and everyone knows that this one only has 24 hours—I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion of more fraud.

I don’t want to drag out this war forever, and this was the only solution that seemed remotely fair to both fandoms, in any capacity. So whoever wins this poll, and with whatever speed, that’s the winner. End of discussion.

Sidenote: I do have answers for some other asks I’ve gotten, but I don’t want to post anything else until the poll ends.

it's possible that im just experiencing distorting nostalgia for the religious experiences of my childhood. but unfortunately i kind of suspect that the reason i respected and was moved by the sermons of rabbi [redacted for being an astonishingly googleable rabbi even though the rest of my post still makes it easy to google him and also im not even sure knowing this makes me more doxxable] is because he is an extraordinarily insightful, empathetic person who had the moral clarity and courage to vocally denounce the treatment of palestinians from the bimah for years until he eventually got thrown out and had to start his own congregation/work for the quakers instead. and it's possible that any rabbi who still runs anything resembling a mainstream congregation is also going to be, at best, kind of milquetoast/simply not interesting, or at least not obviously possessed of moral and ethical insights that i don't already have from things like "being able to read" and "already having thought about judaism before"

unfortunately i can't just go to the new congregation that rabbi formed bc it's 1. not in a city i live in 2. more of an activist group in kind of a vague congregation shape that mostly made me feel like i'm a disgusting western ashkenazi supremacist for wanting religious practice to involve melodies i know and can sing instead of a rotation of international sephardic melodies accompanied by hand drum
