Yet another Total Drama Controversy Meme: SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR SEASON TWO OF THE REBOOT
Tumblr media
Favorite Character: Dawn - I’ve been a fan of hers even before the season aired back in the day (I was able to watch the French version that leaked). She’s probably considered “overrated” today but she’s still a decent character.
Despised Character: Chase - he’s funny but…then he opens his mouth and how he treats Emma irritates me.
Favorite Season: Total Drama Island (2007/2008)- I can rewatch this season many times over it still holds up to this day .
Despised Season: Total Drama Action - this season just makes me mad. It broke both Duncney and Gwent up, derailed the four of them and it dragged way too much for having a smaller cast.
Most Overrated Character: Julia - I feel like they tried way too hard to get people to like her and every “villainous” act she’s done as been OFF SCREEN! Then they made her the villain for season two of the reboot which just made her worse. I never saw the appeal and genuinely didn’t like her from the beginning.
Most Underrated Character: Dakota - she was done SO dirty during revenge of the island and did not deserve being exposed to radiation.
Favorite Couple: Alejandro x Heather - their chemistry is UNMATCHED, they’re made for one another and I genuinely cannot see them not being together and married.
Despised Character: Gwourtney - don’t hate me y’all but I’ve always found them to be so fake. They were “friends” for maybe one episode during world tour then Gwen kissed Duncan. Not to mention them probably voting for one another in said season. Then all stars happened with Gwen saying,”oh Duncan and Courtney weren’t together when I kissed Duncan!1!1!” Then we have Courtney’s list being exposed showing that she didn’t actually want to take Gwen to the final 2 or whatever. Nothing but backstabbing. (Plus I ship Gwen with Leshawna!!)
Favorite Song: Her real name isn’t Blaineley - Blaineley deserved it. It’s a hilarious and catchy song.
Despised Song: Shearing Sheep - horribly off beat which makes it hard to listen to.
Favorite Episode: If You Can’t Take The Heat - easily top 5 of my favorite episodes of the series. Entertaining from start to finish, Heather getting locked in the freezer after getting her eyebrows burned off HILARIOUS! Beth being the reason her team was on a losing streak.
Despised Episode: Sunday Muddy Sundae - looking back I think action derailed her the most of this episode just…stress…the way Mal just MAGICALLY found her list pisses me off to this day. The way everyone turned on Courtney simply for playing the game.

mod mkaaayyyy tell us about yourself drop the list of your least favorite characters >:)
Least favorite of all time is Chase. I think it should go without saying that he’s a horrible person and the way his fans treat him is straight up misogynistic- no, him nearly killing his girlfriend, wanting to change her name and permanently disabling her mother was not “funny.” The chemma arc as a whole was just written so poorly and I’m praying that Emma finally gets justice for all of the shit that Chase put her through if we ever get a season 3.
Not too fond of Duncan either. He just makes so many little misogynistic comments when it’s not necessary at all and regardless of how shitty your partner is cheating has no excuse.
I’m still pissed that so many reboot characters were robbed of the development they needed in season 2 for the sake of Priya and Caleb getting more screentime. I loved priya in season 1 but the praleb arc was just so dry and flat that I wanted to rip my hair out every time I saw those 2 survive another episode, especially when a much more interesting character was eliminated instead.
My unique pick for a least favorite is the RR ice dancers. I am 100% going to be flamed for this but while I do like antagonistc characters normally, there is a line between antagonist and horrible person I have zero incentive to root for. The ice dancers were just straight up annoying with their “we need to get first in every challenge no matter what” and I don’t like how a bunch of other characters suffered because of it.
Oh and I guess I’m really sick of hearing about a lot of the more popular male characters (namely Noah, Owen, Cody and Harold) to the point of where it’s genuinely soured my opinions of them

All the 2023 contestants were born in 2007 and grew up with the show being off the air, so they were all 100% in the trenches of ship drama in the td fandom defending their ships. Here's my 100% correct do not @ me headcanons for each characters favourite ship.
Priya: Zoke, she was put on some block lists because she said she shipped all of Mike's alters with Zoey and no one else. Her parent's grounded her and made her watch Vito x Anne Marie edits as a punishment.
Bowie: If Gwourtney has a million fans, he's one of them. If Gwourtney has five fans, he's one of them. If Gwourtney has one fan, he's that fan. If the world is against Gwourtney he is against the world.
Millie: Thinks it's incredibly problematic and childish to ship real people. But Bawn.
Julia: Got her first taste of internet fame by claiming Blainely and Chris were in a secret relationship. When this comes out this will cancel her worse than the dinosaur thing and she will be forced to go into hiding for her own protection.
Emma: Wrote poly drama brother buys you from your parents fics. Chase read these out on a live stream and they stayed together.
Chase: Not a shipper but was defending Duncan with his last breath over the love triangle stuff.
Zee: Zee hasn't actually seen the show he thought he was auditioning for 6teen, in which he ships Judesy.
Ripper: I don't know whats telling me this but Leonard and Beardo. I think he saw a photoshopped image of them together with red arrows and he's currently convinced they're in a relationship.
Wayne & Raj: Lyler is unironically relationship goals for them, they celebrate their anniversary every year
MK: Commented under Noco posts "Uhm, what about Nemma?" and then watched the world light on fire. Ships Nowen.
Scary Girl: She unironically thinks Sierra is really normal but doesn't ship her with Cody because she just doesn't like him, thinks he fumbled her. Ships Heatherra, Bowie sent her death threats over this and she sent them back
Nichelle: Runs in the same circles as Chris, saw Chris and Chef together all the time despite Total Drama not being on, just assumed they were partners.
Axel: Shasmine anti, thinks Jasmine is gaslighting Shawn about the zombie stuff, wrote a long angry reddit post about it and got banned from the total drama subreddit.
Caleb: Gwent, also got death threats from Bowie and tried to @ Gwen and Trent to come to his defense.
I take no criticism. 🪅Jester ass looking piñata

guidelines !?
no smut! obvious enough, but the characters in the shows are minors! and as a minor myself, it is incredibly uncomfortable for me to write smut. the most i will write for is making out, and even then it will be very brief and undescriptive.
be respectful! simple and common sense, but some people don't have that. especially when it comes to the characters i like/hate. if you don't like my content or my opinions, LEAVE!
be patient! i have my own life outside of the screen and i have other priorities. if you have an issue with how much time i'm taking to finish a request, ask elsewhere!
don't request for the characters i hate! they will be included in my dni list as "____ stans". if you request for them, i will delete your ask!
don't request for characters that i do not include in my "character list" section! like i said before, if you request for them i will delete your ask!
no dark content! this means yandere, pedophilia, incest, step-incest, etc. even if you support this content, dni!
i write for basically anything else! you can request self-insert x character, oc x character, character x character, platonic relationships, familial relationships, etc. as long as they follow the guidelines/dni list!

Raj and Bowie! Also Priya cause she's my fav
Tumblr media
already did raj, so bowie! he came to PLAY and i loved watching him scheme, getting caleb voted off first way such a smart move, and that ending shot of episode 12 where priya is yelling at millie and he's outside?? ICON!! i thought the writers did a good job making him a well rounded character and not just a one dimensional gay stereotype as that is what i feared would happen before watching the season. i also thought going in that they would make bowie, idk, like pathetic? but that was NOT the case and im very glad <3 i love how he handled his relationship with raj, like he was a villainous character at times but he was still upfront and honest about liking raj but not wanting to get involved on the show because he was being competitive, i think that was really refreshing and smart of him because so many relationships cause issues on total drama. his friendship with emma was awesome (until she got mad at him for the chase thing and at that point, bowie deserved better!!) and i think he played the game really well. i very much enjoyed bowie!! its funny bc when the whole anti-bowie thing was happening on various td takes accounts and sparking a bunch of pro-bowie anons in retaliation i was just sitting there like :| i could not care less about this guy. well now i very much care!! about!! this guy!!
Tumblr media
PRIYA MY EVERYTHING!! I LOVE HER!! she became my favorite in episode two and the whole time i thought she would be voted out before the finale BUT SHE WAS NOT AND SHE WON!!! she reminds me a lot of courtney (my fav) with her dedication to winning and all the hard work, but with a bit of a healthier socializing aspect that makes her friendship with millie really sweet <3 there is. SO much happening in the backstory that her parents trained her to win the show like babygirl are you okay. no she's not. but she won!!! i wanna explore her upbringing and her friendship with millie in fics soooooooo bad but alas i have essays to write. im barely coherent at this point but priya is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE and i can die happy knowing that one of my td favs has finally won a season <3

9x16: TD Clues - Just Try to Ignore These; I Dare Ya!
Okay guys, I said this would be a details post, but I think I’m gonna have to push that by one more day. I have SO much to say and so much to post, but I don’t want to bombard you with it all at once. So I sat down to write this and just started with the broader parallels I saw and this is already too long. So again, this today, details tomorrow.
***As always, spoilers abound for 9x16 below. Don’t read until you’ve watched!***
Tumblr media
I’m going to talk about what I mentioned last night: The Alone parallel which involved Negan and Judith, the suicide parallel going on with Lydia, and Daryl staring at the paintings in Maggie’s office at Hilltop, since I can tell from comments and messages that that’s definitely on everyone’s mind. (Don’t worry; it’s on mine too. 😉)
Before we begin, let me reiterate something I’ve said many times, and will continue to say whenever we watch a season premiere, a season finale, or the beginning of a new arc. Structurally, first episodes are used to set up what will happen in the coming arc and/or the coming season. Season finales are used to foreshadow and kick us into the next season. We have ample proof of them doing this in the past on TWD, and especially as the big, dramatic reveal of the heads on pikes was last episode, you know this episode had to be all about foreshadowing what is to come. Keep that in mind as you read.
Alone Parallel:
So when we saw the members of TF at Alexandria struggling to get through the snow from where they had been staying (and the fireplace blew up) to Aaron’s house, that’s when Judith ran off. My first thought was that hearing the dog bark that way, out of sight and in the distance somewhere, sounded a LOT like the dog barking outside the funeral home. Of course, that led to Daryl letting the walkers in and Beth disappearing. In this case, Judith disappeared (chasing Dog) and Negan ran after her. Much like Beth ran after Daryl.
Not to mention, at the beginning of the episode, Dog was missing. Kinda like the dog star goes missing but eventually returns?
Tumblr media
I didn’t know where it would go, exactly, but made the observation about the dog barking to my group and said I wondered if this would turn into an Alone parallel. Low and behold, it did. We saw several specific Alone callbacks in this sequence. Negan hurt his leg, as Beth did. Different kind of injury, but still. There was the dog, of course. And then, because Judith was feeling weak because of the cold, Negan carried her, bridal style, through the snow.
Tumblr media
(Disclaimer for the haters: I’m not saying Negan is in love with Judith, nor am I saying Daryl and Beth’s relationship was the same as Judith and Negan’s. I think there is genuine affection in both cases, but of two different kinds. I’m merely pointing out the actual, physical parallels. Yes followers, if you can’t tell, I’ve been dealing with a lot of hate this week. But moving on…)
So we saw Dog lure Judith away (inadvertently; Dog is not criminal mastermind or anti-TF spy or anything ;D) and Negan chase after her, calling her name, just as Daryl did with Beth in Alone. The major difference here is that Negan quickly finds Judith and brings her home.
Tumblr media
This is super-interesting for a couple of reasons. In terms of Judith and Negan, I think it does two things:
1)      It probably foreshadows something for next season. Remember, this is the finale and the finale does that. I don’t’ know what it will be, but Negan will probably save Judith from something bigger—maybe the Whisperers?—next season as well.
2)      It solidifies Judith and Negan’s relationship. Negan didn’t hesitate to run after Judith and save her, just as if she were his own daughter. As I said above, there’s real affection there and it will probably move him toward being a more productive member of the community. Actually, it already has. Obviously it’s endeared him to Michonne at least enough for her to start considering him an ally rather than an enemy. And that, my friends, heads in a straight line toward Carl’s vision of the future from S8.
Tumblr media
But what about TD? Since this is an obvious callback to Alone, I do think we should consider it a Beth thing as well. I think it foreshadows that the thing it’s being paralleled with (Beth’s disappearance from the funeral home and Daryl searching for her) will happen next season as well. What I mean is, just as Negan brought Judith home, Daryl will finally be able to bring Beth home as well. Again, this is a season finale and what we’re seeing set up here will probably happen next season, so I think this points to that.
And while I’m on the subject, let me say this. I know there are plenty of people out there who won’t believe me when I say it, but I’m not predicting Beth’s return in S10 JUST because we didn’t see her in S9. We’ve said since the beginning of the season—mostly because of all the Xs around her—that S10 would make a certain amount of sense for her return. But we have SO much evidence that she’s still coming and very close. I’ll get into it more below, and throughout the week as I post more.
Lydia’s Suicide Arc:
The first thing that tipped us off about this was when Daryl and TF are on the road and they look over to see walkers in the field.
Tumblr media
In terms of the plot, they were worried that those walkers might be whisperers. But this LOOKED identical to the walker Shane and Rick saw in the field in S2. In fact, that scene was used in the opening credits for years afterward. We even had theories involving that shot in the opening credits, which is why we recognized it so readily.
The thing is, that scene where Rick and Shane saw the walker in the field originally came from 2x10, 18 Miles Out. If you want to know how many symbols the writers took from that episode and later incorporated into Beth’s arc, read THIS. For purposes of the S9 finale, just recall that 2x10 was Beth’s suicide arc. The one where she cut her wrist—which Daryl razzed her about in Still—but then realized she wanted to live.
Why is this important? Obviously it was being used as a parallel for Lydia, who was also obviously suicidal in this episode. You could even argue that, when she offered the trapped walker her arm, had she gone through with it, it would have bitten either on the forearm or wrist, very close to the same spot Beth cut herself with the mirror.
Tumblr media
The thing is, why would they feel the need to include the walkers-in-the-field scene just to show Lydia’s state of mind. It certainly wasn’t necessary. Why callback to Beth? Unless of course there’s some greater purpose to that, you know? So that was very important.
Aside: I do want to say that I think this suicide arc with Lydia had heavy, HEAVY ties to Lizzie and Mica. I’ll talk about that in the next couple of days when I talk more about Carol and Ezekiel and how what happened here is good for TD. But we did see a lot of growth from Carol here, which I thought was beautiful. While she IS falling back into some of her same old patterns, we did see some growth for her, and I really loved seeing it. But more on that later. Trying to stay focused here. So much to say! Dah!
Tumblr media
P.S. Angela Kang? One of the writers of 18 Miles Out. Several people worked on that episode, including her, Gimple, Kirkman, and Darabont, but still. She wrote last night’s finale too, and the walker in the field scene appeared in both. I’m just saying, the parallels are FOR REALS, y’all.
Daryl Staring at the Portraits:
Okay, the first thing most people picked up on as being strange is that we didn’t actually SEE Beth’s portrait in this scene. I agree with all of you that it’s weird. But it’s more than just weird. It’s VERY weird. Given that we saw it earlier in the season with Jesus sitting in front of it, and then that we saw her body very obviously in Rick’s vision, why suddenly decide to hide the portrait from us now? It makes no sense.
Tumblr media
So on the one hand, I think it’s part of the “what is hidden” theme. They’ve hidden a lot of things about Beth from us, so it’s just more of that. But again, why now after showing us several images of her this season, letting us hear her voice, not to mention all the Henry parallels that were so ridiculously blatant that even non-TDers picked up on them. So why go back to this now?
I think it has everything to do with this scene and Daryl staring at the portraits. I think it boils down to them trying hard not to be too obvious. And, you know, mission accomplished. This was extremely subtle.
So, when Daryl looks at the portraits, watch his face very carefully. (Yes, I’m totally giving you permission to stare at Daryl for hours on end. ;D) And a shout out to Norman for this. Only someone who can use such subtle facial expressions to emote so powerfully could even pull this off. It’s a testament to his acting prowess.
Anyway, some are saying he looked sad when looking at the portraits. Others say he looked happy. I submit that we saw both emotions, but not at the same time.
Tumblr media
He first looks up at them and his eyes shift to the left (his right, our left). This is when we see a small, nostalgic smile. Now, the portraits we saw—of Glenn and Hershel—are on the left. So he’s looking at them when he smiles. I think that’s very sweet because it shows that he’s moved past the guilt he felt at both of their deaths and has reached a place where he can remember them fondly and smile.
Tumblr media
Then, just for a fraction of section, his eyes shift to the right—where we already know Beth’s portrait hangs—and the smile fades. That’s when he looks sad.
So even just typing that out, I’m having another thought. Let’s look at the writers intentions coming from the opposite direction. Maybe the whole point of showing us Beth’s portrait earlier in the season was specifically so we could figure out what Daryl was looking at in this moment. It was still SUPER subtle, and you pretty much have to watch the show as closely as TD does to get it, but if we hadn’t seen her portrait earlier in the season, we would have no hope of understanding the emotions running across Daryl’s face here. Angela is a sneaky woman, but I like her!
So what am I taking away from this. Oh, so much. The most obvious thing is that he’s not yet moved past his negative feelings over Beth’s death, as he seems to with Glenn and Hershel. So, even after all these seasons, he’s still not over her. (That’s why Donnie would have never happened y’all!)
Tumblr media
But something else interesting happened in this scene. Lydia asked him why he left Alexandria in the first place to live on his own in the woods. He tells her that he’ll talk to her about it someday. That’s totally huge, you guys!
First off, once again, this is a season finale, and setting up for next season. So I think it’s safe to say this talk will happen in S10. Small potatoes, maybe, but important to keep in mind.
Second, we’ve been wanting Daryl to talk to SOMEONE about Beth since S5. We’ve predicted more than once that maybe he would talk to Carol about it—such as in 7x10—but we were always wrong and it never happened. I don’t think it ever will. Not with Carol, anyway. But this was kind of a promise that he’ll talk to Lydia about it. Yet another reason all the parallels with Beth/Daryl and Henry/Lydia make sense. Why Daryl seeing their relationship, seeing Lydia lose Henry as he lost Beth, and now fathering Lydia, make perfect sense. He’s the one she’ll talk to.
Tumblr media
Now, ostensibly, what she means is why he left Hilltop and that had, plot-wise, to do with Rick and finding Rick’s body. So obviously they’ll talk about that. But if this is going to be a deep heart-to-heart, we all know Daryl’s feelings about what happened with Rick really started with Beth. Why did he search so long and so hard for Rick? Because he never found Beth, either. Why was he so devastated to lose Rick? Because he lost Beth first. And I don’t in any way mean to impugn Rick and Daryl’s relationship. Not at all. But Daryl’s grief for Rick did come on the heels of his unresolved grief for Beth, which made it worse.
So my point is that, even from a purely plot-based standpoint, talking to Lydia about Rick will have to include Beth. But the fact that he said this while standing in front of the portraits, right after he looked at Beth’s and stopped smiling, is a foreshadow that he’ll also talk about Beth. And remember, seeing this in the finale suggests that it’s something that will happen next season, in S10.
So I want to add one more thing to this about when Beth will return. While turning this all over in my head, I couldn’t help but think of 5x10, Them. (When don’t I, right?)
Daryl was super sad all throughout the episode (like Lydia in this one) but finally at the end, managed to talk to Maggie—very briefly—about Beth and even smile about her. It was only after that that the music box woke up.
Tumblr media
So I think this is setting up not only that Daryl will talk to Lydia about Beth, but that he’ll actually manage to heal from her death. At least to the point of talking about her fondly and being able to smile at the memories.
And, one more time (yes, I know I’ve hit broken record status, but don’t care) because this is the finale, I believe we’ll see this play out in S10. All this, combined with stuff Angela said last night about S10 really makes it sound like that’s when we’ll see Beth. I’ll get more into the details of that tomorrow.
So while we really hoped we’d see her in S9, and didn’t, nothing we said about S9 has turned out to be wrong. The parallels are still there, the symbolism is still strong, she’s still coming, and soon, but this show is notorious for moving slowly. So we just have to wait a little longer.
And I’ve tried to stress throughout the season that, while most of this shows that we’ll see her in this arc, that didn’t necessarily mean it would be in this season. So while I know lots of people are disappointed not to have seen her last night—I am too—I hope most of you will stick it out. Because our girl is still coming home. At this point, she’s practically circling the neighborhood.

"...increasingly over the years, major corporations have inserted themselves into the Pride narrative, trying whatever they can to glom onto this cultural moment. Though the commercialization of Pride has its roots in the 1990s, it hit a fever pitch in the 2010s, when every June began to be marked by branded and rainbow-colored pandering as an exercise in shoring up consumers from the queer community. It would all be a fairly typical corporate virtue wash, yet some of these same companies also quietly give tens of thousands—if not millions—of dollars through their political PACs to Republicans who actively work against gay and trans rights."
In the 2018 election cycle, AT&T gave 61 percent of its total contributions to federal candidates—or roughly $1,800,000—to members of the Republican party: among them, Darin LaHood (R-IL), who opposed a bill banning anti-gay conversion therapy
In the 2018 election cycle, Verizon gave$763,900 to Republicans running for Congress. Among the Republican congressional candidates that Verizon gave the most money were Kevin Brady (R-TX), who identifies as a “pro-family conservative” and believes marriage is a “union between one man and one woman,” and Vernon Buchanan (R-FL), who in 2012, sent out mailers saying he “strongly support[s] DOMA” paid for by tax-payer money.
PricewaterhouseCoopers donated $891,000 to Republican congressional candidates in the 2018 election cycle. According to the donation data on OpenSecrets, PWC’s largest donation to a congressional candidate went to Martha Roby (R-AL), who opposedsame-sex marriage as recently as 2016.
JPMorgan Chase spent 62 percent of its total contributions to federal candidates on Republicans, or $322,800, in the 2018 election cycle. Among the congressional candidates who received the highest donations were Andy Barr (R-KY), who just earlier this year voted “No” on the Equality Act to protect gay and trans people from discrimination; Kevin Brady (R-TX), again; and Steve Stivers (R-OH), who has a pretty terrible voting record when it comes to protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ people.
Johnson & Johnson gave $327,500 to Republicans running for Congress. One of the many Republicans that money went to was Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), the former House Majority Leader who reportedly caused an amendment that would have prohibited federal contractors from anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination to fail by one vote.
Anheuser-Busch gave $263,000 to Republicans running for Congress in 2018.
TD Bank gave $101,000 to Republican congressional candidates, including John Barrasso (R-WY) and David Perdue (R-GA), who oppose same-sex marriage; Bob Corker (R-TN), who has voted against LGBTQ+-inclusive hate crime legislation; and Mitch McConnell (R-KY), whose long history of support for anti-LGBTQ+ legislation precedes his time as the Senate Majority Leader.
In 2018, Nike spent $76,000 on Republican congressional candidates. Although it gave $96,500 to Democrats, Nike has a historyof funding Republicans over Democrats. Among the Republicans Nike donated to in 2018 were Corker (R-TN) and Orrin Hatch (R-UT), who fought diligently in the 1980s to overturn the right to abortion, previously supported DOMA, and once said in the ‘70s that he opposed gay teachers in public school.
In 2018, American Apparel donated $27,000 to Republican congressional candidates, versus spent on $18,000 on Democrats. The highest donation ($6,000) went to Adrian Smith (R-NE), a representative who voted against an amendment to established hate crimes based on gender identity and sexual orientation as a federal crime.
Absolut’s parent company, Pernod Richard, gave $20,700 to Republican congressional candidates in 2018, compared to $3,000 given to Democrats.

hi! i saw your post about anyi and i was wondering if you’d mind maybe explaining the egopocalypse to me if that’s okay? i watch jack occasionally and im really really interested in all this cryptic stuff, just kinda struggling to understand some of it lmao. thank you n sorry to bother you!!
oof im probably not the best person to ask because i cant explain things for sHIT but i’ll try my best
over the past two years, jack has made these fictional characters (or egos). there are 6 in total: chase brody, jackieboyman, dr. schneeplestein, marvin, and jameson jackson.
the egopocalypse is a term the community usually uses whenever anti shows up(or when theres a lot of “ego activity” (egos showing up in videos)).
anti is the main ego out of the group. he wasnt the first one, but he was the one that really got everyone Screaming. anti is the “evil” version of jack. he’s the complete opposite of jack. the things jack is afraid of, thats anti. he first appeared in october two years ago. (fnaf sister location was his first appearance). the whole month of october was filled with little hints and brief appearances by anti. jack also put hints in the tags and his instagram was filled with cryptic stuff that built up to halloween when jack uploaded “Say Goodbye”.
every so often there would be other egopocalypses. for example in august of last year, we had one which revolved around anti and dr. schneeplestein where anti tried to kill schneeplestein off in “Kill Jacksepticeye”. jack really went all out with the hints that time by changing titles of past videos and putting more messages in the tags. the most recent one happened just a few months ago and it revolved around all of the egos, but mostly anti and chase. and there might be another one starting soon.
td;lr jack made a whole “fictional universe” of his characters and every time they show up, its called an egopocalypse.

Apple is releasing a new credit card in a partnership with Goldman Sachs, but the terms of service reveal that it explicitly restricts cryptocurrencies and other cash alternatives.
The new credit card from Apple is supposed to be technologically innovative by coming in both digital and physical versions and not using a 16 digit number nor CVV code and has an annual percentage rate (APR) between 13-24%. The card is already being beta tested by Apple employees, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed during the earnings call on July 30. However, the Terms of Service, recently disclosed on Goldman Sachs’ website takes a strict stance against cryptocurrencies and other “cash equivalent” items.
“Cash Advance and Cash Equivalent’ means any cash advance and other cash-like transaction, including purchases of cash equivalents such as travelers checks, foreign currency, or cryptocurrency; money orders; peer to peer transfers, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions; lottery tickets, casino gaming chips (whether physical or digital), or race track wagers or similar betting transactions.”
The terms and conditions also allow Apple to decline any transaction “for any reason” and Apple has the ability to disconnect the credit card from the device if the user decides to modify, root, or jailbreak their device.
Establishment industries inhibiting cryptocurrency competition
Banks putting up barriers for cryptocurrency adoption is not a new phenomenon. Recently, the Brazilian based cryptocurrency brokerage M Intermediação e Prestação de Serviço Ltda. won a lawsuit against Banco Bradesco for shutting down their account for alleged fraud. M Intermediação used their bank account to allow users to make deposits and withdrawals in both Bitcoin and Brazilian reals and is believed to be the real reason for their account being shutdown. Another Brazilian cryptocurrency company also filed lawsuit and won over their account being shut down by Santander. Further, three Chilean cryptocurrency exchanges filed a case with the appeals court about their accounts being shut down by their respective banks. Back in 2017, many of the major credit cards and banks such as Capital One, Chase, Bank of America, Lloyds Banking Group, Discover, Virgin Money, and TD Bank Canada had also instituted bans on cryptocurrency purchases.
As a tech company, Apple has also been hostile to cryptocurrency in the past by restricting the freedom of cryptocurrency apps and wallets in their App Store in 2014. Blockchain.com was one of the wallets removed from the store and they quickly issued a scathing blog post decrying Apple’s actions.
“These actions by Apple once again demonstrate the anti-competitive and capricious nature of the App Store policies that are clearly focused on preserving Apple’s monopoly on payments rather than based on any consideration of the needs and desires of their users”.
After user backlash, Apple added many wallets and apps back to their App Store, but they continued to be critical of cryptocurrency projects. In September of 2016, Apple even reached out to Jaxx multi-cryptocurrency wallet and CEO, Anthony Di Iorio, and said he was required to remove support for Dash, but was later re-added. It wasn’t until June 8, 2018, Apple finally defined its cryptocurrency rules for the App Store that gave users and developers more clear guidelines.
Dash working to become an alternative to restrictive payment services
While many cryptocurrencies have a goal of becoming an everyday payment alternative, at present adoption is limited in most of the world, forcing users to still rely on services such as credit cards to make purchases, presenting a persistent censorship vector even for those owning mostly censorship-resistant digital currency. Dash is providing individuals a way to have complete monetary and fiscal independence by not having to worry about accounts randomly or abruptly shut down or being charged unanticipated fees. Dash is already providing these option in Latin America through the Kripto Mobile partnership that has Dash application already pre-downloaded onto their phones when purchased. This can also help avoid the confusion that arises by having consumers find the respective apps in App Stores. Dash is working hard and fast to on board as many merchants and partnerships around the world, such as Kamoney bill pay in Brazil, to make living off of Dash a reality.

Fantasy Football preview: Ten things to watch for in Week 11
yahoo
Here are my top 10 things to watch for from a fantasy perspective heading into Week 11:
1. Mike Evans is one of the many disappointing receivers in fantasy and now has to deal with a new quarterback in Ryan Fitzpatrick who looked very marginal against a middling at best Jets pass defense. Fitzpatrick is reckless and does not move quickly off his progressions so expect Evans to get a lot of targets. Last week Chris Godwin playing Evans’ position had 10 targets and a 29% market share. So even in an ugly, low-scoring game — hard to believe that can be given the respective defenses but this is the case of resistible forces meeting movable objects — I’d bank 13 targets for Evans. How that translates to points depends on whether Fitzpatrick is running hot (probably not) or cold (probably).
2. Jay Ajayi needs big runs, which usually require volume. The Eagles are tied for second (with the 49ers) with 30 big runs (10-plus yards) from running backs. The Packers and Cardinals are tied for last with 11. A typical back averages about 43% of his yards on big runs. Last year, Ajayi was a fourth-most 57%. This year he’s 42%. Textbook regression to the mean. The key for Ajayi is going to be LeGarrette Blount being inactive because then he gets goal-line carries. I wrote about the real sleeper back in Philly on Tuesday.
[Week 11 rankings: Overall | PPR | QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | FLEX | DST| Ks]
3. The Dallas offense needs to score touchdowns for Dak Prescott to continue to be a top fantasy quarterback. Chasing points with more passes is thinking the wrong way. You want their offensive line and running game rolling to create more opportunities for easy TD passes, which are the key to any QB’s scoring. Prescott has a nice cherry on top with the running but that won’t matter if the banged-up offensive line is as dysfunctional as last week. With Tyron Smith expected to miss another game, looks like we’re headed that way again.
4. I wrote this week at FiveThirtyEight about why Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara are on pace to be the best RB tandem in at least 40 years (when the 16-game schedule started). Declining passing volume hurts Drew Brees on the margins but the big thing has been freakishly bad (for him) touchdown distribution — 11 of the last 14 Saints TDs have come via the ground. The NFL average is 67% of offensive TDs via the pass. The lede that’s being buried here is that the Saints have 14 TDs in the last four games. Brees has three but should have seven to 10. That’s a lot of points being left on the table for reasons that are very likely random. Bet on this TD split normalizing. Then if the Saints remain prolific in scoring, Brees obviously becomes a top QB again in fantasy regardless of passing volume. And he’s averaging 8.0 per attempt so 35 attempts is fine (280 projected passing yards). Note also the NFL average is about 53% passes in the red zone and the Saints are just a hair under 50%.
5. Travis Kelce meets a Giants pass defense that has allowed a TD to a tight end in every game this year and 10 straight dating back to last season. Kelce is arguably the No. 1 projected player in fantasy this week. Defenses are going to let him feast because they don’t seem to want to play man against all that motion and misdirection the Chiefs use in the running game.
6. Let’s make the Case for Keenum as a top 12 fantasy QB. He has two top 10ish fantasy receivers. That right there gets you into the top 12 this year all by itself. The defense depresses volume but the running game is ho-hum. Since losing rookie Dalvin Cook in Week 4, the Vikings are 20th in the league at just 3.91 yards per tote. They’re 19th in that period in success rates of runs by running backs, which factor in down and distance. It’s not like the top 12 is strong, either.
[Join the free NFL Yahoo Cup. Over $100K in total prizes with weekly winners]
7. Baltimore at Green Bay is a big game for anyone speculating on a return to action by Week 15 (perfect fantasy timing) for Aaron Rodgers, probably available on a waiver wire near you. Heck, I picked him up this week in the two-QB Stopa Law Firm league. If the Packers win, the last three games of the season are very likely to be meaningful and thus I would expect Rodgers back by Week 15 given the reports on his recovery.
8. The Patriots and Tom Brady can name the score against the Raiders. This is like Kelce only with a quarterback. The Raiders have allowed a league-worst 110.5 passer rating but only 14 touchdowns via the air. Those numbers will line up come Monday. Expect 350 yards and four scoring strikes from Brady.
9. People still expect Amari Cooper to be better than Michael Crabtree in fantasy. But since the start of 2016 in standard scoring, Crabtree has 12 of the top 20 games the pair has posted. In full PPR, 13 of 20. Cooper overall is averaging 8.6 points per game in standard and 13.4 in full PPR. Crabtree, 9.6 and 14.85, respectively. This is compelling math people, over a long and thus likely non-random period.
10. Russell Wilson is the anti-Drew Brees this year, funny because that used to be the case with passing volume. The Seahawks almost always score through the air — 19 of 21 offensive touchdowns. They have 10 passes and just five runs on the goal-line (three yards and in), basically the reverse of the league average. They’ve converted just three of these 15 total plays into TDs, horrible, but zero runs. So I guess this madness continues.

THIS WEEK IN SCHADENFREUDE, where Chip Kelly replaces every coach
It’s your weekly tour of the most infuriated in college football internet.
The ninth week of the college football season was busy. It was especially so during the middle shift, when a bunch of games ended within a half-hour and featured losses by No. 2 Penn State, No. 4 TCU, No. 16 Michigan State, and No. 17 USF. Also losing were a couple of mediocre SEC teams with big fanbases.
It’s This Week in Schadenfreude, Week 9, your tour of the angriest in CFB internet.
Texas A&M (lost 35-14 to Mississippi State)
This is your moment, TexAgs message boards.
This poster has a suggestion to replace the embattled Kevin Sumlin:
The rationale:
He couldn't be worse than what we have now.... Well, at least it would be entertaining.
This comments not made entirely in jest. It’s noted that Manziel is interested in coaching college football. Ironclad plan, IMO.
One suggestion is to simply replace the Texas A&M logo on the Aggies’ helmets with a different illustration:
Suggestions for new helmet decal? Mine is ole sarge sucking his toe
We are a joke. A consistent cursed joke. We don't learn from mistakes and continue to make them. Administrators, coaches, decisions, mishaps. All a joke. Notice I don't include players. It's not there fault. They are persuaded to come here and they are just following orders. I think a decal of ole sarge sucking his toe is perfectly acceptable to replace the ATM on our helmets. It's very fitting. Like i always say....Aggie is....is Aggie does!
Some other expressions of postgame sadness:
Everything sucks and I want to die
I will have no liver to donate to our smoothies after tonight.
More beer for my tears.
Is someone calling for this team to hire Chip Kelly?
Yes, and it’s time the luxury box elites stop ignoring the former NFL head coach.
Chip Kelly - it's time
For everyone here sipping their scotch and smoking cigars cackling about hiring Morris - NO. ITS time to bring in a proven WINNER and get **** done!!! Get this man now
Florida (lost 42-7 to Georgia, then fired Jim McElwain)
The loss to Georgia was bad, but everyone knew what was going to happen before it did. We’ll fast-forward to Sunday, when the Gators finally cut loose McElwain.
The Gators are the preeminent open job in the country. There’s going to be lots of interest in hot, young, up-and-coming candidates, such as this guy:
Les miles
why is les miles not being considered. He's won in the sec and has won a national championship. He has proven himself unlike a lot of these coaches being named. We took risks on mac and will so why not go with a guy that knows the sec and what it takes to win
Another unique idea here:
Is anyone else calling for this team to hire Chip Kelly?
Too many to count. These are just from the AD’s mentions on Sunday afternoon:
I want Chip Kelly at Florida. Make it happen @ScottStricklin
— Scoochie (@HAleYeAhh) October 29, 2017
Get me Chip Kelly @ScottStricklin
— JD (@JustinDowell2) October 29, 2017
@ScottStricklin love the move today. No need to waste anymore time with this nonsense. Please call Chip Kelly ASAP!
— Jason Krehbiel (@jaxsurfer84) October 29, 2017
@ScottStricklin *clears throat* Chip Kelly! #GoGators
— Dabdaddy (@j_martin25) October 29, 2017
.@ScottStricklin yo u got Chip Kelly’s agent on call or nah?
— Jodak Orange (@JodakOrange) October 29, 2017
@ScottStricklin chip Kelly. That is all ....
— carl (@Gatorpike) October 29, 2017
Tennessee (lost 29-26 at Kentucky and didn’t fire Butch Jones)
Vols fans are trying to figure out if they, too, can get out of a coaching buyout by finding their coach might’ve said a falsehood in public. The good people at VolNation.com, regulars on this feature this year, wonder:
Can't we dig up some lies that Butch has said?
Surely he's told a lie or to while here. What about lying a hot dog bbq or something like Pearl did? Anything would be fine.
“I remwmber him saying he would win games,” one person responds.
“Best staff in the country,” another says.
Another poster wants to fire athletic director John Currie, who was just hired, because he’s waited too long to fire Jones. But another poster thinks Currie’s playing a long game:
Suspicion on Currie
I’ve been thinking through some of this stuff. Everyone is focused on John Currie firing Butch. He could be using this time to hook the next coach and could very well have that guy ready by the time Butch is dismissed. Which would actually be pretty clever seeing as how we would be examining his every move. Instead, the fans are focused on the “fire Butch” movement week to week. There is more to this story than meets the eye. I think he is using this time right now to land his guy. An AD’s legacy is always hinges on a big hire. He’s up to more than we know. Just a thought.
What’s the truth?
This next thing’s from before the Kentucky game, but I’m including it anyway. Here’s a thread about Florida State’s national championship-winning coach maybe wanting the Tennessee job. (He doesn’t.) Let’s follow along:
Rumors of Jimbo Fisher wants the Tennessee Job
Things are heating up down there in Tallahassee. Rumors swirling about Jimbo wants in on Tennessee. What are your thoughts?
Is that a joke? Maybe. I’m not certain. But these are serious replies:
“No Thanks.”
“No way. Jimbo has a far easier task in the ACC than in the SEC. fake news.”
“No thank you. I'd rather have Scott Frost. If Jimbo can't win with the talent they have at FSU, I doubt he can at Tennessee.”
“Gruden > Fisher”
Is someone calling for this team to hire Chip Kelly?
You know it.
@John_Currie DO YOUR JOB AND GO GET CHIP KELLY
— Zach Cardwell (@z_cardwell) October 29, 2017
Go to hell @John_Currie
— CHIP KELLY OR BUST (@jacob_greer7) October 29, 2017
Penn State (lost 39-38 at Ohio State)
At Rivals’ Blue and White Illustrated message board, one poster was sure that pollsters’ ANTI-PENN STATE BIAS would plummet the Nits down the rankings.
Here's How IT IS.
Any other team would fall 1 or 2 places, but because it's us look for a huge screwing and drop.
Penn State fell five places in the AP Poll, from No. 2 to 7. Previous top-five teams to lose games this year fell six spots (FSU), seven spots (Ohio State), 10 spots (USC), nine spots (Oklahoma), and six spots (Clemson).
Someone’s thoughts on offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead, whose team just scored 38 points against an elite defense and is averaging nearly 40 per game:
Franklin is the Guy for PSU but Moorhead's Offense Sucks
he sucks.
Here’s a, uh, unique comparison for James Franklin:
Is CJF College Football's version of Dusty Baker?
GREAT locker room guy, players love him, teams have good chemistry.
Also a lousy tactician without that instinct to know how to close a game out. This is now the 6th example of such a game in his Penn State career (Michigan 2014, Maryland 2014, Illinois 2014, Northwestern 2015, USC 2016, Ohio State 2017). Vanderbilt's losses to Tennessee in 2011, South Carolina in 2012, and Ole Miss in 2013 are examples from earlier in his career.
Last night looked painfully like the Reds 2012 NLDS loss to the Giants. It was RIGHT THERE! And we didn't seize the moment.
This person’s super mad about a former Pitt coach being on FOX’s on-site studio show, as he is every single week of the season:
Dave Wannstedt
Can we lead a charge to get this know-nothing marble mouth, PSU hater kicked off BTN. I mean really, he's the first guy to high five all the buckeye faithful????. Why is a no-nothing complete idiot Pitt wannabe, on Fox and BTN????? I absolutely hate this guy, he's dumb as a rock and pretty much always wrong. He's a homer for anything anti-Penn State. I cannot stand that man...................
At SB Nation’s Black Shoe Diaries, this commenter took the result well:
I am done watching Penn State.
Let’s be real if we don’t get into the CFP which we won’t now. There is no point anymore. You know why no one believes in us? Because we always do this shit. We look promising and then drop a game. No excuse when we were up by 15. The football god’s gifted us a special team TD and a nice fumble. The refs were decent. Our defense simply let us down. We can never just get it done. The defense blows a 15 point lead. Looked very amateur and Trace over threw it how many times? And the oline sucks. Fuck this team Fuck all the high hopes because they never get it done. Fuck football. No use in getting worked upover a silly fucken game with pampered athletes chasing a ball. That’s what dogs do
Is someone calling for this team to hire Chip Kelly?
Not that I could find. But less than two years ago, this guy was!
@SandyB_PSUAD Fire James Franklin. Lets get Chip...
— HB (@B27491) January 2, 2016
We all reach this again at one time or another.
Florida State (lost 35-3 to Boston College)
The Seminoles are 2-5. Their season is lost.
Boston College isn’t that bad. But losing to B.C. is still a come-to-Jesus moment for a lot of fans. See Louisville fans after the Eagles got their team a couple weeks earlier:
