It’s summer, or as I like to call it, “My family gets weird and unpleasant about the fact that I have body hair season”
#I don’t even smell. I shower regularly and use deodorant.#clinical grade anti perspirant deodorant too#I was outside today in very hot/humid weather and my mom’s like 🤨 sweat stains bc you don’t shave#everyone has sweat dipshit it came free with my fucking circulatory system#can’t wait to shave and then get sweat stains anyway because I’m fucking sweaty and it’s fucking hot outside

Weird complaint but I hate that ‘anti-perspirant’ is basically synonymous with ‘deodorant’ now. Like, they mean different things. They DO different things. You can have a product that’s both but if I’m looking for an anti-perspirant I don’t want deodorant that DOESN’T do that TOO to come up. I have other products to make me smell good. I want to stop the sweat.

The most frustrating part of having hygiene anxiety is when other people are being like “deodorant or you’re evil!!!” they never seem to be aware that anti-perspirant exists and does in fact last a whole day so you don’t need to reapply it constantly the way they want you to be reapplying deodorant
#also when somebody said they genuinely expected people to shower twice a day#my guy I can barely shower once a week you can just admit you hate disabled people at this point#it’s really hard for me to go to conventions because I am convinced I’m the reason everyone thinks it smells bad and they all know#that I smell bad#(yes even if I shower right before and use anti perspirant and just washed my clothes you don’t beat hygiene anxiety by telling people they#need to be more hygienic which I did have to hear someone do on tiktok like ma’am you are making it worse)
