It's an unpopular opinion but I don't understand why people still want Chakotay and Janeway together. The thing bothering me is in the show, they wrote Seven like Janeway's pupil or even daughter. So we have basically a grown ass man having a middle crisis and who chose to date a younger woman. It's cliche and it's dismissive the relationship he had with Janeway. If I was in Janeway's shoes, I would move on.

Am I the only one who finds shipping Janeway with Chakotay a bit... iffy?
Scratch that, am I the only one who finds shipping Janeway with anyone iffy?
Cause, like... Janeway is married. She has a husband back on Earth. Like, a big part of her motivation throughout the whole show was getting back to Earth AND her husband.
Now, I鈥檓 not denying that Janeway probably had feelings for Chakotay (And, while we鈥檙e on the subject, probably Seven as well), there are certainly episodes where the two shot a few misty eyes at each other. There was definitely temptation is what I鈥檓 saying.
But the thing is, it could only ever be temptation and nothing else. Kind of the whole point of their ship teasing is that they couldn鈥檛 be together. No matter what Janeway or Chakotay (or Seven) felt, Janeway was still married. She still had a husband waiting for her. And giving up on the idea that she might ever see her husband again is the same thing as giving up on the idea that she would ever see Earth again.
And that is something that Captain Kathryn Janeway would never, never do.
ADDENDUM: I feel like it shouldn鈥檛 need to be said, but I obviously wrote this before I saw the episode where Voyager got their letters from home. Matter of fact, I was like two or three episodes away from it when I wrote this.

If we're talking about Seven ships only relating to Voyager, Seven and the Doctor made more sense and should've been endgame rather than Seven and Chakotay, which unlike Seven and the Doctor, had zero romantic build-up and chemistry.

The Doctor decided to teach Seven of about humanity. In that process, he falls in love with her. If he keeps teaching her about humanity, and dating, while wanting to date her, it feels like he could then teach her to date him.
And that's icky feeling to me. I feel like it could have been done well, with more communication and honesty about "It wouldn't be right if I continue to treat our relationship like a mentor and student, because I have feelings for you."
But that requires a level of emotional maturity the Doctor doesn't have, because he's still trying to figure out how to be a person.
(fantastizing about Seven naked also felt kind of icky, he's her doctor and her mentor).
Seven doesn't seem to have any romantic feelings for the Doctor (or Chakotay or really...anyone until she's on Star Trek: Picard).
Janeway or Kim or Paris could have taken over teaching Seven to be human (even Tuvok, Tuvok is a great mentor) and freed them up to date.
I liked B'Elanna and Seven, because they're both rather terrible at relationships and B'Elanna never took any responsibility to teach Seven anything. She does, but she's definitely not in an explicit relationship of "I am your teacher".
And doctors are in love with their patients all the time (Beverly and Jean-Luc, Paul and Hugh, Julian and Garak, but each time it's much more reciprocated, and the other adult isn't in a specifically designed caring role with power over the other.).
