I love when anti-rwde posters unintentionally say things that seem rwde lol. Here are my favorites so far:
The always good "Ironwood was always clearly an evil dictator" If this were true it would make the show worse than I already think it is, because not only did Team RWBY willingly work with him without any sort of recognition that it might be bad of them, but the writers have also talked about Ironwood's good intentions and the fall to villainy and how they wanted V7 to have no clear bad guy.
Whenever someone dismisses any early season as unimportant or something that no longer matters. Like, my guy, they're all supposed to matter and make up a good story together.
The people that say that the Blake and Yang ship is the exact same as Blake x Sun as a reason for why people who ship Blake with Sun but not Yang are wrong. Idk if they realize characters and dynamics are meant to be different and interesting.
The people who find redesigns of Yang where she's wearing clothing that's either the exact same level of 'modest' as the show or actually less sexualized and yell about how re-writers always overly sexualize Yang.
The people that defend every Jaune scene by saying he's just as much of a main character as Ruby. Like yes thank you for proving our point lol.
The people that constantly say important things just happen off screen. Things like main characters being friends, communicating important plot details to each other, showing grief at terrible deaths, unlearning racism... The more stuff people say happened off screen the more unintentionally insulting I think they're being because instead of saying "It was a mistake, they didn't have time, or they forgot" it's "they willfully didn't include it because they couldn't be bothered."
The people that say it's a good thing the entirety of Atlas was destroyed. Like personally I think the show could've done better at making Atlas and Mantle more varied but actually DID make it clear there were working class people and Faunus and good people just trying to make it that lived in Atlas and didn't deserve to lose everything. But apparently these people believe everyone in Atlas was some rich selfish asshole who deserved it and that would be very flimsy and bad writing.
The people who say that "drinking the tea" and "going to the tree" in V9 is actually just a metaphor for therapy. Like I know that Ruby essentially tried to commit suicide in V9. But I guess what they think what happened is that Neo was beating up Ruby while trying to make her get therapy, and everyone being a moment too late was them not arriving in time to stop Ruby from going to therapy, and when she fell down into the darkness that was symbolic of driving to her therapist's office, and when Yang was worried that Ruby wouldn't be herself anymore she actively was unhappy that Ruby was at therapy. Like how much worse written would V9 be if I actually believed what they did? XD
The people that insist that everything in RWBY was part of some super well thought out 'planned from the beginning' thing. Not only is that actually not a flex with a show that feels more disjointed, rushed, and ill-thought through with every season, but it's actively not what the writers say half the time when they do things like talk about how they 'wrote themselves into corners' and admit that at the beginning they were 'throwing things out and having to stick with it,' and having Blake's VA describe Blake as straight in official stuff and how they entirely reinvented Robin. Like either you think everything was not planned from the beginning or you think the writers are liars lol.
The people that actively just pretend or actually believe that the show is different than what it is, like the person who said RWBY was 'written by and for queer people' or the person who said Blake and Yang had been openly dating since V2 or the person who said Ruby was shown grieving Pyrrha way more than Jaune or the person who said that the RWBY villains were straight white men who weren't part of oppressed groups. What better way to prove that you actually don't like the show you're watching than to insist that it's a completely different show?
I'm sure there's more but those are the ones on my mind right now. XD Once again, I am certain that I have more love for RWBY than a lot of anti-rwde posters do.

Jaune: (Yawns) Oh, midnight on New Years! Time to get started on those taxes!
---------------------------------------------------
Jaune: Let's see, sword polish... Obviously that's a business expense. ...Mm, but then again, I do like the smell. Better be safe on this.
Ruby: Hey, Yang, what do taxes pay for?
Yang: You know, things like cops, emergency relief, construction workers, welfare.
Ruby: Really?
Yang: Shit, I don't know.
Weiss: Jaune, it's eight forty-five. The post office will be open soon.
Yang: Why do you care?
Weiss: I don't, but Jaune does, so I let him know, since he asked me.
Jaune: (Gasps) Eight forty-five?! Ah, and here I am, scribbling away like it's eight thirty-five! (Licks and stamps, Licks and seals)
Blake: ...Should we file our taxes, too?
Yang: Nah, we're good.
---------------------------------------------------
T A X D A Y
Weiss: Ha! Those idiots are scrambling like sheep to the slaughter. I almost pity them.
Yang: Alright, easy there, Lex Luthor. Not everyone can be as anti-tax as you, you know. Especially not me. I had so much foresight, I already paid for my taxes last year!
Ruby: ...
Blake: ...
Ruby: ...You or me?
Blake: You get her. I always get her.
Ruby: Okay, fine. Yang?
Yang: Aw, what's wrong, Ruby? Is mean, old Blake picking on you?
Ruby: No, but you paid for last year's taxes. You need to pay this year, too.
Yang: No, 'cause see I went ahead and... No, see, I was counting forward from the last... previous... Oh no...
Meanwhile, at the post office...
Lisa: This is Lisa Lavender, live on site at the post office where dozens of tax payers are scrambling to wait for their turn to mail out their filed taxes. Excuse me, miss, but why did you wait so long to pay your taxes?
Nora: Taxes? I thought I was in line for Space-Rangers Seven!
Ren: Ugh... (Thinking) I still don't know who keeps filing for mine and Nora's taxes. It can't be her, right?
Nora: SUUUUUUUPEEEEER SPAAAAAAACE RAAAAAANGEEEEEER BEEEEEEEAMUUU!
Ren: No. Impossible.

Okay, scattered thoughts on the Justice League x RWBY movie:
This is some of the best characterization of Blake out of anything in RWBY. The fact that she would have grown up around anti-Faunus violence was something that never got brought up in the actual show. This movie gave me a whole new appreciation for her just with that one conversation.
Lots of things the Justice Leaguers said or did seemed really stupid and needlessly mean but the way it comes together in the end is actually really clever.
Jessica is ours now, sorry DC nerds
Jaune is amazing
Even knowing where it goes, I still hate the weird jealousy thing with Renora and cyborg
Last minute Wonderbat and Weiss love triangle was also weird and out of nowhere and was so little a thing that I almost wanted to overlook it but also what was the point?
Supes and Ruby talking about leadership was a bit shallow for my liking. I'm not too upset about this since Ruby questioning herself is like the whole plot of Volume 9, anyway.
Bees were cute
Blake got to say a swear, now let Ruby say fuck
Piano dude knows exactly what show he's in
Seriously DC if you don't treat Jessica right I'm calling child protective services and the FNDM is taking custody

Justice League x RWBY Part 2
I love it. Although there's some moments involving team RWBY that really need to be in Volume 10.
Some highlights and a few of my thoughts under the cut because there's spoilers. And fair warning: there's 26 screenshots, I got a bit carried away and this got a little long.
We see Weiss struggling with the loss of Atlas, something that I hope will at least get touched on in Volume 10. It's good to see her talking to Klein, if just a video call rather than in person. There's also a glimpse of the anti-Schnee sentiment: an otherwise empty cafe where Weiss goes, apart from two faunus she helped save from Grimm. No one else wants to be around her. Poor Weiss. She deserves better. I guess at least she wasn't refused service.
Blake gets the door open to where they need to go to help the Justice League, who somehow manage to call Weiss on her scroll after running into trouble with Grimm inexplicably on Earth.
Blake ready to open the door. Her enthusiasm is so cute.
A slash from Gambol Shroud and a kick does the trick.
Finger gun and wink from Yang in appreciation, enough to get Blake to blush, despite the fact that this is after they kissed in the Ever After.
After they go through the portal and somehow automatically undergo some changes that seem to make them fit into DC's Justice League, Yang has no difficulty recognising Blake without her ears, and in fact notices they are missing before Blake does.
Poor Blake's reaction is funny, and I feel bad about that. But it is played for laughs, and she does get them back as soon as they leave, and in a computer simulation thing in the end boss fight. The same goes for Yang and her cowlick.
It's great to see Yang talk to someone a bit about what she went through after losing her arm. Even if she only did it to try to help Flash accept that he can't force himself to get over a traumatic experience because there's some things you just don't get over. Like her arm. Now if only she could talk to someone on her team about it...
And there's moments between Ruby and Yang that really really need to be in the main series:
There's when Yang's concerned that Ruby is being reckless, Ruby thinks she's doubting her, but Yang insists that she never has, she's just concerned that it isn't Ruby's confidence at work but a death wish. That Yang needs her sister. And Ruby throwing herself at Yang to hug her, and tell Yang that she's not going anywhere.
"You promise?"
And while Yang is airing her concerns, Blake puts a hand on her shoulder which Yang takes as a wordless communication to make her tone less confrontational. And it also seems like Blake giving her girlfriend some support while she's upset.
Yes, Blake looks weird without cat ears. No, she doesn't like it either.
It's good to see Yang letting Burn loose once she can (team RWBY don't have their Semblances on Earth, but other powers, apart from inside another simulation where they have their normal abilities again).
Ever since the fight against Ace Ops at the end of Volume 7 I've been wondering if Yang's burning orange eyes of fire are an evolution of her Semblance. She definitely still flashes her red eyes sometimes, like when punching Salem in the tits.
Yang briefly fighting a possessed Wonder Woman is a pretty cool moment, especially when using her Semblance to punch her through two trees (Yang did take some hits so... Burn must've been pretty charged up).
Ruby takes some punishment from possessed!Wonder Woman too. Yang catches her. Ruby tells Yang that she can't protect her from everything, that she has to trust Ruby, that she's not going to leave Yang, that she's not (their) Mom, and not Raven. My feels!
"Ruby!"
While Ruby is talking to Yang, some of it is done with a sort of mirror image of when Ruby drank the tea in Volume 9: Yang reflected in Ruby's eye.
Yang later getting possessed herself and Blake being the first to notice! Blake pointing her gun at the possessed Yang and saying Kilgore (the possessor) could never fool her using Yang!
A disturbing sight for Blake, Yang's eyes all wrong.
Weiss using a Summoned giant Arma Gigas arm to grab Yang and say "You can't have her!" Just too bad 'Yang' uses Burn to break free.
Ruby getting possessed Yang off a rooftop!
And a team effort with part of Justice League to free Yang.
Black Canary catching Yang after the Flash freed her (there was a cute moment when Black Canary and Yang met, Canary expressing appreciation of another blonde). Rather blurry because they were in the distance. This is pretty much from Blake's POV, as she had been using Gambol Shroud's ribbon to restrain Yang's left arm from a distance.
It's good to see a brief glimpse of Blake and Weiss helping Yang stay on her feet after she's freed from possession.
Team RWBY confront Watts in the final simulation, on Atlas, quite possible outside the Schnee mansion just to hurt Weiss more.
Unimpressed Yang is unimpressed that Watts expresses contempt of imbeciles (which everyone but him is) but worked with Kilgore, an actual idiot as Yang puts it. And she'd be in a position to know after having had him in her head.
It's satisfying having them provoke Watts into explaining that he worked with Kilgore because he was an idiot, and intended for Kilgore to get trapped. Kilgore overhears and possesses Watts, allowing Cyborg to trap them in the simulation indefinitely while everyone else leaves.
And we get a second Bumbleby kiss! I'm a little disappointed it was just a brief still image rather than actually animated, but it's another kiss!
But yeah. This has such good sister interactions between Yang and Ruby, and they really need to be in the main series too.
And yes, it was a bit of a pain in the neck getting these screenshots. Some of them are blink and you'll miss them moments.

So almost 3 years later it turns out Superman (and the Justice League) getting teleported into the RWBYverse without his/their usual capabilities is in fact how it's happening after all. I demand their means of isekaification be Doomsday running them all over with a truck.
Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One arrives on digital, 4k and blu-ray in the spring. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern and Vixen are transported to the strange world of Remnant, and find themselves turned into teenagers. Meanwhile, Remnant heroes Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang must combine forces with the Justice League to uncover why their planet has been mysteriously altered before a superpowered Grimm destroys everything.
Tbh I assume it'll get pretty straight to the team-up, but it really would be fun if everybody reacted to "Okay we LOOK like teenagers who have the same kinds of things going on as the rest of you but actually we're adult superhero pan-dimensional exiles here to save the entire cosmos!" with more than a little skepticism and the League have to fight to prove that no, they really for real are magical superheroes from the magical superhero dimension here to save the world.
Also, I approve that Dark Crisis: Young Justice writer Meghan Fitzmartin is writing this, because as if this crossover wasn't already absurdly aimed at the niche intersection of my interests alone, putting the writer of an illustrated anti-fandom essay on the need to take 90s DC out behind the woodshed that I am I assume the only person on this platform to have enjoyed? Beautiful. Cannot fathom why they're making this for a target market of literally solely me. Anyway it's extremely funny Superman is going to meet Ruby from RWBY in an official licensed product before he meets Goku.
So, here's the big question: How do you thibk various RWBY characters react to and interact with Superman? Not just the main teams, but anyone you think would be interesting: supporting cast, antagonists etc.
(Not Superman but the only remotely professional-looking DC/RWBY art I could find. Since, oddly, this is actually an official poster?)
That’s an interesting question, because much more than when I was previously asked what Superman meeting the Kingdom Hearts leads would look like, making that happen would require navigating that RWBY and the DC universe are built around entirely different storytelling engines. For the average superhero, they’re the masters of their domains so to speak - Batman watches over Gotham, Green Lantern oversees Sector 2814, and so forth. They protect their territory from threats within and without with consistent effectiveness, and as such their capabilities are scaled up appropriately so as to be able to plausibly face off successively greater threats. RWBY however past the setup of the first few seasons is a quest, and for that quest to be constantly filled with peril and be of any length, there’s a degree of necessary vulnerability. Hunters are absolutely super, but they have to fight to survive against essentially wild animals, and trekking across a world that’s already mapped-out and filled with assorted advanced civilizations still takes months. That’s what they’re built around: they have a journey to grow across the duration of, whereas superheroes by and large have established base personalities and concerns with the challenge of the story being to find new nuances to dig out of them. Have RWBY and JNPR graduate Beacon without incident and start functioning on basically superheroic terms as Hunters (i.e. they have a base of operations and a clearly-delineated ongoing task) you either start telling a totally different kind of story with them or they remain basically static; put a superhero on a quest and it’s typically gonna be a single story arc where you have to contrive some sort of special circumstance, as in the recent Superman: Up In The Sky where he’s solving a mystery with almost no leads spanning the entire universe, to justify why they aren’t doing at least the ‘journey’ part of this instantly.
(Kingdom Hearts is something of an exception since I brought that up: they’re on a quest, but it and therefore their capabilities are so mythically scaled-up and abstracted, and the heroes’ goals on any given world are superheroey enough, that them meshing with DC or Marvel wouldn’t have the same practical or narrative complications.)
Therefore, if Superman and RWBY met - and I realize this was just a character-interaction question, but the first character interaction past confused introductions would probably be ‘hey, can you help out?’ - on Remnant, the only way Superman doesn’t just take half a second to dash over to Salem and yeet her into orbit so she can take a metaphorical deep breath and rethink her decisions is if they mention the Brothers and he flies into space to sort them out first. And if RWBY ends up on Earth DC, I see there’s a sizable and popular fanfic titled Hunters of Justice exploring that very possibility, and at a glance I’m not surprised to see they apparently mostly hang out with the Bat-Family and the Teen Titans rather than Superman or the Justice League; besides their popularity, that’s much more the scale they tend to operate on as opposed to battling alien armies and mad gods. The latter obviously opens plenty of story possibilities in a way the former doesn’t, but either way they’re not going to be in a position to chat much with Superman beyond “Wow, you’re a superhero!” + “I like your cape!” + “Keep up the good work!/You too!”
Fortunately however, there’s a preexisting mode with Superman that not only largely circumvents these concerns, but opens up avenues all its own.
However you might contrive to put Superman on a t-shirt and jeans level again it not only puts him on a ‘power level’ comparable to the RWBY crew that means they could hang out and work together for a bit, it adds a complication that would deflate his aura of Superman-ness for awhile that might otherwise bar them interacting as equals: they would have every reason to think he’s just a crazy guy. Dude shows up in a weird shirt saying he’s an alien superhero from a parallel dimension and he needs their help to get home? Sure, he’s got some kind of strength Semblance that’s pronounced even by Yang and Nora’s standards, and that cape he carries with him is tough, but not even Ozpin’s fairy tales matched up against the yarns this man is trying to spin. Yet as they get to know him while trekking across Remnant, he sure seems to have the goods as a hero, and there are moments - the times he, as Wally West once said, smiles that one smile that reminds you he’s not really from here - where they really have to ask themselves if he’s the deluded fanboy who might get them all killed all logic screams he must be, or if as impossible as it may seem, he might just really be the miracle they need to give them a fighting chance.
As for the character interactions that would crop up, there are some obvious ones to be had with Ruby and farmboy Oscar, and he’d probably find Weiss, Ren, and Qrow each reminding him a bit of Bruce in their own ways. The main character I think he’d really hit it off though is actually Blake if he ever learned about her bow: that was essentially Clark Kenting, and there’d likely be a whole discussion to be had between them on the cultures they come from, their different relationships to them, passing, their commitments to justice, and being really into cocky adventurous women who don’t take any shit and have complicated relationships with their parents.

aren't you that guy who got so ass blasted that qrow/summer was a bigger ship than tai/summer that you put yourself in debt with a ton of lame commissions?
wow that's pathetic. you need help.
sorry for taking so long to get to you.
First, I'm going to teach you a few things, my dear blacksun shipper, because those are the ONLY people who have been spamming asks like this.
Are you familiar with "Disposable income?" For me , it means that so long as I have my bills paid, taxes paid, rent paid, and food and other necessary expenses taken care of? If I have some other money left over, I can use it for hobbies. I'm a business professional, I have the money to do hobbies.
So, no, I'm not in debt. though the RWDE community just LOVES to lie about rwby fans , huh?
Next up...are you familiar with "Monty's Vision?"
Blacksun shippers like you use it all the time to complain about Bumbleby.
Adam Taurus apologists like you use it all the time to deny that Adam was and always will be a cold, evil villain.
But also, despite Monty establishing that Qrow is not Ruby's father? You people use it constantly to claim that it was somehow "monty's vision" that Qrow was ruby's father.
I ran into one girl who claimed that people supporting Canon apparently had mental disorders.
Another woman i ran into literally trash-talked monty.
one man on youtube decided that monty meant "step-sisters" instead of "half-sisters"...
He and another msn decided to pretend like they had no idea of the english language rather than read a freaking dictionary or thesaurus.
You people are so Butthurt over not getting your way, your headcanons, your ships, that you flooded the internet with that hate and denial.
My critique of RT is that they did not do enough to Solidify Bumbleby other than showing but not having enough interaction.
My other critique is that they did not do enough to shut down the theory that the toxic part of the rwby fandom embraces.
And by toxic, I mean the people who talk about how they're somehow victims for speaking ill of rwby, or victims of the writers, or happily trashing the show like adam apologists, blacksun shippers, ironwood apologists, and of course vic micnogna apologists.
One of you pieces of work told me, explicitly, that if I had a problem with your part of the fandom...i should put my money where my mouth is.
So I went to commissioning several hundred fanart, fanfics, comic dubs, fan animations.
And now that I did what you people suggested, you're angry with me?
After I followed your suggestions? You're upset that I did as you told me to do?
To use your own words? "Wow, that's pathetic. You need help"

Hunter Drones AU.
Don't know how far you are with May Zedong as the next, but if you could consider some of these ideas, I'd really be thankful.
So consider all the following with the thing that every next drone's AI, and their subsequent body, is derived from a baseline that seems to get more corrupted/fragmented and whatnot.
As an initial result, May 'spawns' with one poor or non-functioning eye, whilst the other one is extremely high functioning. The good eye compensates for her lack of proper depth perception by having multiple pupils in the same area where a normal person would have their one. It's basically several really, REALLY, high definition cameras put in a really small space; 24k resolution at minimum! She has an eye sharper sighted than an eagle and can see in infra-red, x-ray, nightvision and contains built-in flash protection among others. The game I Spy is one she's banned from playing.
May's body, whilst still a good deal stronger than an average soldier, is the weakest among the current line-up. All the processing power, materials and anything else relevant usually dedicated to physical combat prowess, has for the most part been put into Ballistic Trajectory Calculations and Recoil Management of any and all firearms. May can, and has, shot the wings of a fly from a mile away.
As for her body shape, popular horny fannon interpretation will probably do just fine. She does tend to conceal herself quite a lot it out of shyness, though. Up to you in any case.
Personality wise, is where I guess the real kinks would start to appear. Just like the others, May's got a less than healthy attraction to/obsession with Jaune. However, she's a bit more voyeuristic I'd say. She very much likes to watch him, and she doesn't even need to be in the same room to do so.
With her ridiculously large caliber and highly customised sniper rifle, accompanied by an assortment of smaller- but no less destructive -firearms, May's ready to be God and smite anyone who would endanger Jaune. No-one shall know what hit them and red mists will become rather frequent.
(DEEP INHALE!)
You little shit! This was basically what I already had planned?!
Haa… I’m not upset, just a little peeved you guess the next part, the May arc if you will.
Well, the idea was introduce the foundry to you, whilst it is repairing her body, making her Penny 2.0. So after that, Jaune would manage to get a new DAI to work. Not that well, but it’s functionality would be between Yang’s and Blake’s level of effectiveness. Which is higher than Ruby, and Penny. And, with that, HDDAI #5: Codname: May Zedong.
The fault in her design would be her only having one functional eye. The result of which she upgrades her right eye to hell, and back to compensate for this. While the rest of her sisters robotic eyes can see up to one klick each, May can see at least three klick with ease. Can take photos/videos like the rest of the in high definition. Her eye can double as a microscope in how precise she can look at something. The rest of the modifications her eye has the rest do as well.
Raw brute strength she would be the ‘weakest’ amongst them. She is still extremely strong as a means to compensate for the heavy weapons she fires, and the recoil of said guns. Just as you said.
As for shooting the wings off a fly. Well maybe with a dart gun if she doesn’t want to blow it all to hell.
Yeah, I will keep the big chested fannon, May. In her chest she has a radar system to help cover her blind spot. It can only cover about half-a-klick however. She has a stronger battery to compensate for this. Hence a bigger chest to store/protect the batteries.
I can come up with a cannon reason for her chest size, fight me!
Her obsession with, Jaune. Yeah pretty much it.
And for her gun. I expect her to walk around with a 20mm Caliber, Anti-material rifle. Along with various other types of firearms.
So yeah, thanks for hitting the nail on the head for contemplating my future plans.
Haaa…
Best start on the Penny in the foundry part…

Rwby x One Piece au!
Ruby Rose is the young captain of the Red Rose Pirates. Her mother was the legendary pirate Summer Rose whom inspired young Ruby alongside her uncle Qrow, one of her mothers former crewmates who started the cursed luck pirates and occasionally stopped to discretely dock in her hometown to visit Ruby and her sister.
Ruby ate the Rose-Rose fruit, a logia type that gives her the ability to turn her whole body into Rose petals.
Yang is Ruby's elder half sister her mother being Raven a Empress of the sea and feared captain of the Branwen Pirates. Yang waited till her sister came of age to set out on the sees due to her desire to protect Ruby while also wishing to track down Raven.
Yang lacks a devil fruit but makes up for it with expert martial arts training and armament Haki and is ger sis's first mate.
Weiss was born heiress to a small but incredibly wealthy kingdom under the world government. She gained the title after her father disowned her older sister Winter for pursuing a career in the marines. Shortly after Winter rose to the position of vice Admiral she gifted Weiss with the Glyph-Glyph fruit which is a paramecia type that essentially gives her the same powers as her canon semblance and had re entered circulation after its previous weilder their grandfather died.
Weiss had ZERO intention of joining a pirate crew, she was going to inherent her kingdom and make it better to help people and redeem her family name...until Yang started a brawl on the docks when her and Ruby were stopping in her kingdom on a supply run and Weiss happened to be down their by coincidence. One short chaotic fight later and she found herself the technical hostage of the Pirate crew of two.
After getting to know them, being forced to work with them in several life or death situations, seeing the corruption in the marines and world government and meeting Blake (see below) she ultimately came to completely turn her world view on its head. Eventually she was forcibly taken back home and the Red Rose Pirates did the classic one peice all out assault rescue that ended with Weiss finally declaring herself a formal member of the crew and getting disowned by her father. Ultimately became the crews navigatior thanks to her proper education.
Blake is a black cat mink and ex member of a incredibly radical split branch of the revolutionary army. After seeing that those she was fighting alongside had become as dangerous and ruthless as thkse they fought she left.
She ended up joining a Red Rose Pirates by chance when she got stranded on a deserted island and running into Yang when she went ashore to explore. Over time became good friends with the rest of them but had to help break Weiss out of some anti Mink prejudices. She fights mostly with blades Stealth and observation Haki. She's actually the helmsman do to having the most actual sailing experience.

An Interesting Response
Someone asked me: Raz, have you, perchance, seen the trailer for RWBY: Ice Queendom? It’s the first time I’ve been excited for anything RWBY in years.
To which I replied: Tentatively hopeful. I hope it's a proper reboot and not simply a remake that follows the same plot because RWBY's plot became a disaster zone.
Someone else (not the original asker) then replied in the comments with this gem:
Since this dropped in the main tag and not cordoned off: No, the main show hasn't "become a disaster zone" except to LGBT+phobic right-wing misogynistic incel shitlords. The writing in 6-8 is the best in the whole damn show. Also the team working on IQ has already mentioned their respect towards the OG show and have the OG crew supervising. Its not going to be some dumbass anti-RWBY (cause shitlords have no damn clue on the show from the start) incel bullshit
Wow. Because I didn’t like the way RWBY went I am now apparently a “LGBT+phobic right-wing misogynistic incel shitlords”.
The RWBY fandom has been accused of being incredibly toxic, and this sort of reaction is why. I watched RWBY right from the start and I have produced fan works for the series for almost eight years. Eight years. Moreover, the overwhelming majority of the pairings in those fan works have been, you guessed it, pairings like Ruby x Weiss, Blake x Yang, etc. Clearly, I have no idea what the show is about. I’m just some random clueless person who hates RWBY /sarcasm.
Yes, it turns out that someone who still lives and dies on the Fangrai (Fang x Lightning hill) and has continued to write work for that pairing for more than a decade has to be some evil incel shitlord who hates LGBT+ people. How can you be sure? Well, I didn’t like the old RWBY show. I must be a monster!
The simple fact that I would prefer the new show to take a different direction from the old show must mean that I’m some kind of awful person. Everyone who didn’t just love everything the old show did must be some awful hater who is an evil monster. It’s not like there could be legitimate problems that have been heavily discussed. No. That’s impossible.
This is why people call the fandom toxic.
EDIT: And now they’re blocked. Because they chose to double down that anyone who disagrees with them is a monster and a homophobe. Given how awful Tumblr can be, the fact that theyre the first person I’ve blocked in a long, long time is kind of impressive.

Okay so I decided to watch the video that pissed off @kob131 and well he’s wrong, the video was not a bad argument
It was an epic failure of an argument.
For those who don’t know which video pissed off my mate here, well it was “RWBY Villains: The “Hero’s”” (I think that might be a spelling error she didn’t catch until it was too late to change the title) and well like I said it is an epic failure of an Argument.
In this video, The Judgemental Critter attempts to argue that RWBY’s actions made them look worse off than the Villians of the show with three questions;
1) What did Team RWBY do?
2) Were they rewarded for it?
and
3) Were they punished for it?
and fails to make a point, aside from two things; Blake Slapping Sun (”My Emotional Harm” is not a good excuse to slap the guy trying to help your Blonde ditching ass) and Most of the events of the Atlas Arc (I’m of the position that Ironwood was more right than the Heroes, and he was only amped from Tragic Anti-hero to full blown tyrant because the writers failed to see why people were siding with Ironwood instead of RWBY).
What does she get wrong well;
Her Volume 1 example points out that RWBY failed to stop the Robbery, however with her own points they couldn’t because the only people present were Blake (who she made no mention of her trying to talk the White Fang out of doing Torchwick’s robbery); Sun (who fought off Torchwick); Ruby (who was knocked out) and Penny (who stopped the Robbery).
Her Volume 2 example (which was not the mech thing that managed not to be reported on, which she would’ve gotten a point if she had brought this up) was them stopping the White Fang’s attempt at a grimm invasion.
Her Yang Example (what I call her Volume 3-4 arguments because it mostly focuses on Yang): Kind of is an example of the meme; “Tell me you didn’t watch x without telling me you watch x”. Well she argues that Yang shouldn’t have been “rewarded” with a shiny new arm because she Broke Mercury’s leg. Three Problems; 1) Emerald used her Sembalance to trick Yang into doing it, 2) Mercury’s legs weren’t real and 3) She lost her arm trying to fight off someone from killing someone. Also yes Ironwood would’ve gotten the people who chose to participate shiny new limbs, because that’s how he rolls and he himself has Shiny new Limbs.
Her Volume 5 example was The Heroes not doing shit to defend Heaven and she failed to mention; Leo (the headmaster) worked for Salem, Everyone in Heaven left, Qrow’s contacts were all dead because of Leo, Raven (wanting both the rewards for Biggest Bitch, Worst Parent and only anime girl to piss Knight off) decided to team up with Cinder to take the relic in an area where our heroes are not therefore they didn’t know it was coming (along with the White Fang Shit), and Yang was the only one who figured out Raven was the Spring Maiden and roasted her so badly she left. Not sure if I covered everything, but I believe I got the general idea on how she’s wrong across
The Volume 6 examples were The Train (which you get to see a rare feat of an argument falling apart by the person talking about it in the span of seconds when she brings up the turrents, and as for the Relic, they don’t clam up about it they get everyone (except for the little old lady who was here for one purpose and fucked off for the rest of the show) off of one cart and separate that cart from the rest of the train) and The Airship (which mortal debates aside, she forgot Oscar has Ozpin inside of him (and not in the Catholic Priest way), and well Jacques is a dick who would most likely going to screw over Ironwood, so it was the only option, no one really saw the Grimm coming and Ruby did fix it by sacrificing her right to view the giant Tits of Jinn, unless she gets a giant load of Singles).
and
The things she did to screw up on the Atlas thing (which is the easiest thing in the world to do) was that she implied that RWBY didn’t do enough to stop Tyrian’s (who J.C non verbally implies unfairly had his stinger cut off by Ruby) and Watts plans, when they didn’t even know they were in Atlas, and Implying that RWBY only carried out their plans so that Penny could have a functioning pussy so they could fuck her in a lesbian Orgy only the female fans of RWBY would be allowed to fap to when RWBY’s logic for opposing Ironwoods plan was that they wanted to save everyone.
In conclusion, this is one of the worst forms of criticisms I’ve seen on RWBY even though I myself am Critical due to the Atlas Arc and well due to RT being dicks (especially during the Vic fiasco). This is someone’s strawman of RWBY criticism. Please don’t attack J.C over this please. @kob131 if you’re reading this, you owe me one.

Seeing how this pairing is usually in Freezerburn fanfics, what are your thoughts on Ladybug? Is it as bad as Bumblebee?
I feel like Blake x Ruby is better in some ways than Bumblebee, around the same level in others, and worse in some. PLEASE NOTE: This post is meant to compare one ship I don't really like to another ship I don't really like. And while I'll be talking about merits to both ships, I'll also be talking about things I don't like in both ships. So if you don't want to see that, this post isn't for you. I'm not trying to ruin these ships for anyone, just giving my opinion on them.
Pro: Ruby was clearly drawn to and interested in Blake during their first meeting, laughing when Blake called out Weiss's company, saying "that girl..." in nearly a whisper when she spots Blake again later, acting nervous, but also nice, and is interested in hearing about Blake's book. You can compare that to Yang and Blake, where Yang talks to Blake for Ruby's sake, quickly dismisses her as a lost cause, and then winds up paired with her later out of a coincidence. In terms of 'interest from the start,' Ruby and Blake as a ship wins this.
Con: I complain that there isn't enough development for Blake and Yang in the early seasons, and that gets so much more prevalent in the relationship between Blake and Ruby. They barely talk after introducing themselves. They mostly interact with the team at large, or other people, with their emotional conversations and connections being formed with others. This carried on to the point where it's a meme that Ruby doesn't really know Blake, and when they did have an emotional moment in volume eight, it felt really out of place and shallow. Compare that to Yang and Blake, who have had significant and meaningful interactions a couple different times, who spend time together due to the fact that they're teammates, who spend a lot of time together in volumes six, seven, and eight, and started having more casual interactions with each other during that time despite it generally feeling a bit forced.
Pro: They share interests and have similarities despite being very different people, both things that can fuel an interesting ship. They're book lovers, they're action driven, they're both more introverted, they're justice driven, they both came to Beacon for similar reasons... And yet Ruby is meant to be the optimistic opposite of Blake's more pessimistic tendencies, she's vocal and out there while Blake is more pragmatic and contained, she's openly affectionate and trusting (for the first five seasons,) while Blake is hesitant and takes a while to open up to others. While Blake and Yang also have a lot of similarities and differences, they don't have a lot of interests in common. Ruby and Blake could probably talk about morals for ages, or they could talk about their favorite movie adaptions of books... Idk, they don't have a lot in common, but it's still more than nothing. Compare that to Yang and Blake, who are very different people who don't share many similarities.
Con: Blake has seriously conformed to Ruby's wants and desires and morals more than she's conformed to Yang's. Yes, Blake and Yang's relationship is unhealthy and co-dependent, but Blake hasn't conformed to Yang's morality and her leadership. In fact, she's disagreed with and argued with Yang, specifically to go with Ruby and do the things Ruby wants to do. the doylist reason for this; Blake's character has been hugely altered, she's barely recognizable to the character she was for the first five seasons, and she's now being used as one half of a ship and Ruby's cheerleader. But trying to look at things in a watsonian way, it feels like Blake is over-reliant on Ruby, depending on her to tell her what she wants and even what she believes in. She's willing to go against and argue with Yang, but not because she believes in something; because she's following Ruby's lead. Add onto that that Blake was specifically written to be fine with a lack of action in the face of a literal warzone because she thought Ruby would eventually decide what they should do and she also can't defend herself anymore and must beg Ruby to save her. To add onto that, Ruby clearly doesn't need more pressure on her shoulders and having her friends reliant on her every step of the way is clearly helping to wreck her mental health. Canon Blake and Ruby are a recipe for co-dependency and unhealthiness too, it's just of a different sort than Bumblebee and... I might consider it worse. Idk, it's a toss up.
Pro: Ruby is consistently upset when Blake isn't around or is hurt or self-destructing. She's literally, visibly angry at Weiss and snapping at her after Weiss's behavior and fighting caused Blake to run away.
During this exact time, Yang did challenge Weiss, but seems more casual about the entire situation. Ruby also explicitly says she's not mad at Blake, though she's clearly sad that Blake didn't talk to her about what was going on. She's also very concerned about Blake in the dance arc, to the point where she's clearly not interested in what her other teammates are doing or about the dance at all.
And yes, Yang is confident and casual because she thinks she can convince Blake to go to the dance, and is clearly bothered too in her conversation with Blake, but she still does seem to be a bit less personally impacted? And also, I'm having trouble finding a screen grab of the exact moments, but Ruby is clearly distraught and really missing Blake in volume five. And again, Yang has a reason for acting dismissive and cold, and her circumstances are different than Ruby's, but it's still worth noting that Blake and Yang have these big conflicts that don't get addressed that give roadblocks - like Yang having tried to force herself to not care about Blake - whereas Ruby has always cared about Blake and wanted her around and never tried to convince herself otherwise.
Con: Ruby feels significantly less mature than Blake. Ruby feels naïve, untested, and younger than her age, whereas Blake feels more adult, weathered, and older than her age. There's not anything wrong with shipping them, obviously, but it does make a romantic relationship between them a little bit harder for me to like personally. Yang and Blake feel like they're more on each other's level.
Pro: Ruby has made microaggression statements about Blake's faunus traits before ("She does like tuna a lot," "She has kitty ears and they're actually really cute,") but her statements feel less mocking and less pointed than Yang trying to lure Blake around with a laser pointer. It doesn't feel as mean spirited. It's still hard to get past as a ship and I prefer shipping Blake with people that haven't been anti-faunus without an apology, but I still consider it better than Bumblebee and less of a hurdle to get past.
Con: They didn't have anything going for them as a ship if I remember correctly for season three, season four, season six, and season seven, and the shipping moments in volume two, five, and eight were few and far between. They were at their prime as a ship in volume one, and that was eight years ago. Blake and Yang's first significant moment was in volume two, they had a bit in volume three, volumes four and five heavily included them dealing with being apart, they started being easily read as romantic in volume six, and that's continued up to volume eight. I know I've already touched on Ruby and Blake’s lack of content outstripping the lack of Bumblebee content, but Blake and Yang as a potential couple has just been more consistently included as well.
Pro: Ruby has not canonically reminded Blake of her abuser. No, I'm not trying to say that Yang is the new Adam and I do think that Ruby and Blake's dynamic in the current canon is also unhealthy. But Blake would be hard pressed to not be reminded of Adam when standing next to the explosive, passionate, aggressive, anger issues ridden Yang who's eyes turn Adam's central color when she lets her temper overtake her - which is often. And the show writing did not fully address the problems there, by having Blake swear to never leave and Yang being happy with that and then them disregarding the growth Yang had gone through in terms of working on her anger issues and had her explode for very little reason and snap at everyone in the recent seasons. Ruby - despite being rose themed and sharing Adam's color scheme - still doesn't get close to being the temperament of Adam.
In short... It's a really big toss up. Because I think that I find Bumblebee much better in terms of concept and potential, but Ladybug - while still having major problems - might be better currently as far as canon goes, yet that might be because of their lack of content, and they're... Boring for me personally. XD So yeah, both ships have major flaws, but also upsides.

Meant to ask for some time now. Scrolled through your old rwby conent and i found post about ruby x oscar and quoting "Ruby x Oscar? I think this is the first Ruby shipping I could really get into." And today we see polinated knight series. Lancaster, whiterose, ladybug but no rosegarden. Sooo, what had happend. What made you not making conent with that ship but make conent with other ships?
Honest really easy to answer.
1) Oscar is also Ozpin. Not necessarily now, but soon-ish. I really don't like the way this would have gone, at least in the terms of RWBY as a story. If it was framed differently, it would work well, but they did a lot of work building up the epic quest and team dynamics. If they had not broken the Huntsmen into teams when starting at the academy, it would work better as a single-focus teacher / student romance. If it was done as a complete rewrite, it would make a wonderful story.
2) They turned Oscar into a Mary Sue. Instead of going the wise mentor route, they turned him into an OP hero who solves every problem. There are plenty of stories that do OP heroes well, but more that do them poorly, and again, this spits in the face of the heavy focus on team dynamics that they built-up. We see RWBY and JNPR not only work together, but build up their abilities over the course of the seasons. They then sprinkled Chosen-One Oscar on top, as if doing so would turn it into a completely different dish.
3) While I initially liked the Oscar / Ruby dynamics, this was a) initial, and b) the Oscar / Ruby dynamics. As said in 1), they would have to completely reframe the story to make a romance with Ozpin make sense.
4) This was on my initial watch through. When you watch through the series more, you see a lot more subtext between the characters. you can view it as platonic or romantic, but there is deep love between RWBY and JNPR, and this goes all the way back to the earliest episodes. They started off with a deep, soul-bound friendship between Ruby and Jaune. JNPR automatically had this friendship, while we saw RWBY build this up over the first three seasons. Yang declared
as in that moment, they all knew the friendship was complete. They all felt at home in each other's presence. We then see RWBY and JNPR supporting each other through the entirety of the series, with other teams providing brief distractions. From SSSN, we see Neptune being nothing more than a shallow pretty boy whom has to be coerced into even talking to Weiss at the dance. Sun tagged along with Blake, with Blake rebuking him the entire time. The Black Sun romance was fun, until I realized that the best part about it was Kali, and not the pairing itself. They then cut Sun out of the story altogether, and I didn't miss a moment of it.
I didn't start writing the dialogues until, honestly, the disaster that was Season 6. This tends to be what happens for me with shows, I don't really take the reigns of writing until either the show has run it's course, or I feel it's run it's course.
As for the specific pairings you mentioned:
Lancaster: Ruby and Jaune were the absolute most important for each other in the early parts of the series. Jaune felt the burden of the crown, while Ruby had to force her team into stop fighting with each other and actually start working together. Jaune confided in Ruby. Ruby confided in Jaune. They did everything they could for each other.
White Rose: Despite not looking for friends, and trying to avoid friendship if at all possible, Ruby is the one to try and build a friendship with Weiss. Ruby comes out of her anti-social shell around Weiss, and Weiss alone, and Weiss learns to accept trust and affection from one-another. Truly a beautiful story.
Ladybug: Ruby is the only one in RWBY to not chastise Blake. She honestly accepts Blake as the troubled quiet girl instantly, and again does everything in her power to build friendship and trust with her, much to Blake's chagrin. She never pushes further than Blake wishes, with truly a deeply, if unspoken understanding.

About Jaune ships...
I have opinions. You may not agree, but they are mine. They may change in time, but not now.
LANCASTER ( RUBY X JAUNE )
The old tried and true. I mean, what's not to like? Cute girl falls for first guy she meets at Beacon? Classic romance trope, and after reading how much Ruby loves romance stories (I consider certain parts in the manga canon), it makes sense. In fact, after Arkos sank (A moment of silence, please . . . Thank you), many moved to Lancaster, which isn't bad. Happens all the time in fandoms. Sad thing, though, is far I think she'll last. If we're talking Volume 5 or earlier, then maybe. However, I feel if Ruby were to have an endgame in romance, it would be RoseGarden (I have opinions on that as well, but today isn't the day to discuss that), mostly because Oscar bumped Jaune's role from male lead to male side. Not to mention that while Jaune is becoming a beast in his own right, Ruby is a different creature altogether and evolving her character more rapidly and chaotically than anyone else (Must be all that screentime).
TLDR: I want it to be canon, but I might just be hoping.
WHITE KNIGHT ( WEISS X JAUNE)
Doofus in tin foil meets princess who hates daddy (Am I in the romance section of the library? You know, the corner for adults only?) No, but I do like this ship. I'm always a sucker for the fantasy genre, and using a zero to hero male makes it relatable. I also kind of ship it because the same reason I ship NaruSaku in the Naruto fandom: he likes her and he's willing to go the distance. But enough about that; instead let's talk about canon. Will they hook up? It's a soft maybe for me, for two reasons. 1. Rosegarden is most likely to be endgame, and after Ruby and Pyrrha, I'd say Weiss is Jaune's next to be his love interest. 2. Weiss has warmed up to Jaune. Sure, not lover or crush level (Yet), but she's definitely changed her opinion on him. In Volume 1, Jaune was bugging her, like all the time, which I could see as him getting mixed signals on (Exhibit A: Tall, blonde, and scraggly). When Volume 5 came around, everyone jumped onboard because he saved her life (Don't lie, because I'll admit that I did it, too). Not the best reason, but still reason enough, I'd say. Then in Volume 7, she hangs out with him and Oscar to the movies (It was either that or awkward Bumbleby all night. I feel ya, sister). Nothing romantic happens, but it does show how much their relationship has developed. If Weiss is Jaune's endgame, then they have set the pieces up perfectly to do so.
TLDR: High likelihood to be canon and I'm a sucker for Knight/Princess ships.
KNIGHTSHADE ( BLAKE X JAUNE)
This is the part where I say definitely not. Not in a million years, but I'll explain why I like the ship, though. As for why it won't work, the answer is Bumbleby. They haven't kissed yet, but you know they're going to eventually (Because if they don't, the fans will attack like a swarm of hornets). But here's the question you might be asking now: why do I ship this? Well, it's part of the allure of "opposites attract" ('Cause I'm dressed like a cat!). Blake is an intelligent, outspoken, and agile ninja with a criminal history of terrorism who spends her free time reading novels. Jaune is a B at best on his tests, soft-hearted, and ground-based knight who's worst crime is fraud (Still a crime, but peanuts compared to literal terrorism) and spends his free time hanging out with his team. Day and night. But they also tried that with Sun for a season and a half and it didn't last (BECAUSE BEES).
TLDR: Not even a snowball's chance in the summer sun, but so much story potential if you do (Which I do)!
DRAGONSLAYER ( YANG X JAUNE )
This, I would say, is the opposite of Knightshade, where Jaune is the day and Blake is night, here Yang is the Sun and Jaune is the Moon (Like their crests! Remember those? Y'know, when they were relevant?) Will it work? Even less so than Knightshade. However, it does open up some interesting paths considering how... provocative Yang can be, and Jaune, compared to the other guys, is the nerdiest, geekiest dude at Beacon. It's like the cheerleader/nerd romance, except the cheerleader is the captain of every sports team... and rides a motorcycle. The Volume 8 preview introduced us to Yang and Jaune riding motorcycles and we went nuts over it. Yang was back in her element, roaring down the street, riding on walls, popping off tricks with Oscar riding- Back to what I was saying, people were asking, "How did he know how to ride a motorcycle?" and the elementary answer is "He didn't." He almost fell off his bike from a small box in the road. True, anyone would, but look at how he reacts: he stiffens, he refocuses on the road. This kid literally started riding at breakfast, and I DARE you to prove me wrong. But hey, great fic material right there, though, eh?
TLDR: Never gonna happen, but I don't care. All I care about is writing that they love each other. And they also fu-!
ARKOS ( PYRRHA X JAUNE )
I'm sorry, I need a moment. . . . Alright. Do it for her. This ship... was perfect. Probably the best ship out them all. I legit almost cry every time I think about Volume 3. Pyrrha was everyone's favorite. Her background, her interactions, her choreography, everything! But, of course, like everything in our lives, she was too good to be true. But let's honor her memory by talking about her ship, Arkos. Pyrrha was the champion of the world, the Brothers' and Oums' gift to Remnant. She could do no wrong and she HATED it. Her plight was with how she was seen. Everybody knew her! Everybody, except Jaune. And he only figured out she was "a big deal" was because Weiss had to spell it out for him! As time went on, they became the best of friends, two peas in a pod, the perfect odd couple! They worked together and trusted each other, they cared for and supported each other, they lo- No. No, I can't say it. It's been years, and it still hurts. So, I'll explain something else: the reason why Jaune SHOULD NOT be shipped right now. That reason is Pyrrha. Jaune was helpless to save her. He's suffering from survivor's guilt and he's still grieving. In Volume 4, he would sneak away and train until late at night to scroll recording of her. In Volume 5, he confronted Cinder and got Weiss almost killed because he let his grief for Pyrrha take control of him and let his emotions run wild. In Volume 6, he finds the Pyrrha statue and he... I don't know how to say this, but he let's go. He accepts that Pyrrha is gone and he's starting the healing process. He's finally ready to move forward.
TLDR: T.T I never felt that it was wise to wish too much~
MARTIAL ARCS ( REN X JAUNE)
I'll be honest, I don't really ship it. Yeah, it's cute, and it falls perfectly into the "if I had to pick a guy" part of me, but to be honest, I don't ship it. 10% because Renora and 90% it just doesn't click with me. They both just seem too soft, too quiet, too introverted. Best friends? Yes, definitely! But lovers? Eeeeeh, not really.
TLDR: I will only ship as neccessary.
NORA'S ARC ( NORA X JAUNE )
I've only just got in this deep with the fandom only recently, so I don't know if a lot of you know me. Heck, I'm probably just some RWBY fan you happen to spot as you move through your dash. However, old or new, I want to be made absolutely positively clear on this. Of all the ships here, this has got to be my-
O T FUDGIN' P
Wow! Never thought I'd feel so strongly about a crack ship like this. And yes, as sad it is to say, this is a crack ship. Renora was planned from day one, so it can't be helped. At least it didn't blast me in the face all of the sudden (OH NO, NOT THE BEES! AAAAARGH! THEY'RE IN MY EYES!). But why this ship? Well, for one thing, it's that whole opposites attract thing with Nora as the bubbly, outspoken, airhead powerhouse and Jaune as the soft spoken, introverted, nerd tactician. But wait, there's more to this trope, because it can go deeper: Order VS Chaos! Who makes all the messes? Who cleans up those messes? Who follows all the rules? Who makes their own doors? It's just. So. Damn! GOOD! One sad thing about this ship though is that it's not only not canon because of Renora, it's anti-canon because Renora. Every fan fic of Nora's Arc requires an explanation for Ren and Nora to not be together-together, like you have to write a formal apology to the FNDM for liking something that's different from what is canon or commonly accepted. If that's the case, then I'll be the anarchist here!
TLDR: I LOVE IT! What's that? Not canon? Who gives a damn?! I just explained why Jaune won't be shipped anyways! Now, if you'll excuse, I have some fan fics to find.
ARCFALL ( CINDER X JAUNE )
Oh, here it goes! Now, if we're talking ships that'll never happen, this is where we find better reasons than "it's not canon" and "character development". No, this... This is a declaration of war. Allow me to explain. Cinder Fall is evil. Like, down to her core. She wants power and she'll cut through anyone to get to it. Including Pyrrha. This woman sank Arkos by means other than "X and Y kissed, so..." She killed X, leaving Y alone. And her interactions with Jaune tell me she wouldn't even be worth a hate-bang. But, as Momma always, there's a thin line between love and hate. This is where the appeal comes in. Cinder is evil with no past, which leaves the previous chapter's of her life story blank to be filled in. Jaune is good with a troublesome, albeit easy past, but untapped potential for more. It's another opposites attract, but different from INTRO VS EXTRO and CHAOS VS ORDER; this is GOOD VS EVIL. Who will win this battle of wills; will our hero purify the tainted heart, or will he slip deeper into darkness, never to return to the light?
TLDR: Should be a NOTP, and yet the allure pulls me in.
What do y'all think? Do you agree? Let me know!
