Am I the only one who hates the idea of Keith and Acxa being together? Not because I’m a Klance and Veraxca shipper but they have no romantic chemistry. All of their “romantic” scenes together look and feel more platonic than anything else. Plus, Axca is a lesbian and Keith is gay and had better chemistry and more interesting dynamics with characters like Lance, Hunk, and Veronica.

Keith is not in love with Acxa. He respects her, and is the type to repay favors, but he’s not in love with her. Any romantic feelings between the two are one-sided on her part. And even then, I doubt it.

(Note: Let’s just assume for a moment that a//urance and k/acxa are endgame, which sadly, seems like a very real possibility. Sadly, I’m all too familiar with my ships losing, so here’s some Kallurangst)

Allura loves Lance, but back in her mind, she knows that he’s the wrong one. Not Wrong, but just... wrong. She tries to put on a happy face as he introduces her to his family. But she can barely even be happy for him. They shower her with love and affection, which she appreciates. But she’s afraid to pursue her own dreams, because she knows that it’ll break Lance’s heart, and so she stays quiet for now. And at night, it’s not long walks on the beach with him that she dreams about, but sailing the stars with someone else, in red. There’s a connection that was missed somewhere.

Keith loves Acxa, but he barely knows her. She just popped into his life a few times, and although they had a connection, he wonders if he’s making the right choice with her. They both have Galra heritage and a warrior’s respect. But he has the latter with Shiro and the rest of the team. Why is she any different? He tries to be happy as he introduces her to Krolia, but he can see that she’s putting on a similar, fake-happy face for him, making him doubt if he’s making the right choice. Even Acxa can see it. And when he dreams, it’s of pink. What in the world was going on?

And when Keith and Allura look at each other, they feel something pulling them towards each other, so they avoid eye contact. It’s not a force that’s... forcing... them together, but simply nudging them, from another reality. It’s like they can feel the people they’re with aren’t whom they’re meant to be with. But they deny it, because they fear what might happen. But they know each other, trust each other, and respect each other more than they do their current SOs.

So they’re frightened when they think of each other while making love to someone else. They’re frightened when they think of each other in times of stress. They’re frightened when they wonder what it’d be like to spend the rest of their lives with each other. So they tell themselves that they’re happy with what they got.

So why?

Why does it hurt to love someone else? Why can’t they love someone else? 

It’s because they made a terrible mistake.
