Dimitri is like a mixture of the bat boys. Always belittling Rose and thinking he's above her even when she's proven to be his equal. Fuck that we can't be together bullshit because it will get in the way of our guardian duties to Lissa. Reminds me of Rice and his bitching about him not being able to have love because he has enemies out to kill him. Like bitch WHO? And don't worry Dimitri. Even if Rose is in danger, her plot armor is bigger than her own ego.

Let's not forget Dimitri's strigoi days when he drugged her via vampire bites, dressed her in beautiful dresses/jewelry and locked her up. Details are fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure he withheld sex as leverage for turning, too. Reminds me of someone's antics UTM. Once he came back and rightfully decided to leave Rose alone, he did it in the most cruel and callous way possible. Good thing Rose doesn't respect boundaries.

We can't see into his head, but I bet he sexualizes Rose all the time,too. He tries to be the pinnacle of morality, but he has no ground to stand on as a statutory rapist. One minute he's like "you're so mature for your age" and then he's like "your age is showing."

One of the things I don't like about TV!Dimitri is that dude has absolutely no life, no personality nor hobbies or interests outside of his duty nor The Dominion. Even Book!Dimitri, who lived, breathed and ate Guardian Life, had a life and interests outside of it. He love baking bread, '80s music and western novels yet Julie took that away from him and even made his love of those novels tied to his chain of Duties for The Dominion by having them be autobiographies.

He is just so boring. And this is Julie's ideal version of what Dimitri should have been. 😐

Okay so when I found out they chose a British guy to play Dimitri I was a bit upset but in a super chill way cause 1)he looks fantastic 2) British accent kinda reminds me of Russian so I thought they not gonna have any problems with working on it.

Then my Tumblr friend made a post and I found out they erased that part of him. TV show Dimitri is not Russian anymore. I was kinda confused cause 1)then why would he have a Russian name👀 2)what about the fact that Rose spends the whole book in Russia, what about Roza, what about half of their jokes😟

Hello vampire academy fandom you don't know me and I don't know you I was intrigued by vampire academy when the movie first came out i was coming off my twilight high and needed something to catch my attention but never got around to reading the books. I'm sure they are good but that's not what we are here for we are here to talk about julie plec or as some of us in the tvd fandom call her julie plague. As I was going through some post and comments I saw that people don't really know who she is and why she is so bad. She gets a bad rep with a lot of the fandom because of her treatment towards characters of color and women. I'm not going to stop you from watching many people have pointed out that they have waited this long who am I to stop you. Here's a list with the top things.

 

- she has stated that the reason she favors elena and caroline over bonnie is because she can't really connect with bonnie because of the color of her skin

 

- she used the human incubator plot twice

 

- the only reason kat Graham and bonnie Bennett stayed on the show was because the Male lead threatened to quit if she got fired.

 

- bonnie who was a black lead never get her own storyline that wasn’t connected to someone else. even her death was about how it made other people feel what makes it worse was she was there to watch as a ghost l

 

- marcel, klaus adopted son often gets the fact that he was save from slavery by him thrown into his face.

 

- marcel, klaus adopted son had Elijah who is klaus' brother say to him that klaus' birth daughter was better than him because she would redeem him better than he could ever

 

I'm not saying that I wouldn't like a diverse cast for this show but not under julie's hand. After seeing how she treated not only bonnie but kat Graham it's a no from me. Diversity seems like something she has to do not something she wants to do. She made the environment in hopes that kat graham would quit because she couldn't fire her.

I like how all throughout the VA series, we see Rose struggling to find what makes her happy because she can’t in her line of work. We see how much she has to sacrifice to help others. So that being said, I don’t understand the animonisty towards Rose for being “selfish at times.” These books are also about her and her POV. This is what the series has been talking about for the past 6 books. Rose being an example of the lack of freedom the guardians have in their lives. So, damn RIGHT she got her happy ending.
