The games are known for their dark humor, over-the-top violence, and colorful characters, such as Sweet Tooth, a psychotic clown who drives an ice cream truck armed with rockets. The first game was released in 1995 for the PlayStation, and since then, several sequels and spin-offs have been produced.

Now, Twisted Metal is getting a live-action adaptation as a TV series for Peacock, the streaming service of NBCUniversal. The series is described as a “high-octane action comedy” that follows a motor-mouthed outsider who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can deliver a mysterious package across a wasteland full of dangers and enemies. Here is what we know so far about the Twisted Metal TV series:
The cast: The series will star Anthony Mackie as John Doe, the main protagonist who is a milkman with no memory of his past. Mackie is best known for playing Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and recently starred in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+. Joining him are Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, a scavenger on a mission of revenge; Thomas Haden Church as Agent Stone, a sadistic lawman; Will Arnett as Sweet Tooth, the iconic villain of the franchise; and Neve Campbell as Raven, the mayor of New San Francisco. Other cast members include Joe Seanoa as Sweet Tooth’s alter ego Marcus Kane, Chloe Fineman as Mary, Richard Cabral as Loud, and Jamie Neumann as Miranda Watts.
The creators: The series is created by Michael Jonathan Smith, who previously wrote for Cobra Kai, another successful adaptation of a nostalgic property. Smith is also serving as executive producer and showrunner. The series is based on an original take by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers of Deadpool and Zombieland. Other executive producers include Mackie, Arnett, Reese, Wernick, Glenn Adilman, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Hermen Hulst.
The production: The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, marking the latter’s second TV project after The Last of Us for HBO. The series is also co-produced by Electric Avenue and Original Film. The series began filming in July 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia. The series is expected to have 10 episodes, each running for 30 minutes.
The release date: The series does not have an official release date yet, but it is likely to premiere sometime in 2023 on Peacock. Peacock is available in the US and Canada, and has three tiers of subscription: free, premium ($4.99 per month), and premium plus ($9.99 per month). It is not clear which tier will have access to Twisted Metal.
Twisted Metal is one of the most anticipated TV adaptations of a video game property, especially for fans of the franchise. The series promises to deliver a thrilling and hilarious ride through a dystopian world full of crazy characters and vehicles. Stay tuned for more updates on Twisted Metal as they become available.

Running time: 105 minutes. Color.
Released through: 20th Century Fox
Movie co-produced by Tim Burton based on the book of the same title written by SETH GRAHAME-SMITH. Grahame-Smith had a hit novel in “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” (2009), so it is little surprise that the producing team of Jim Lemley, Tim Burton, and TIMUR BEKMAMBETOV optioned “Abaraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” (2010) before it was even finished. Both books tap into a pop cultural desire to think of the familiar in different terms. What if honest Abe had also fought against a worldwide vampire conspiracy? What if Jane Austen’s iconic novel was set in a world replete with the living dead? Over the next few years, both Burton and Bekmambetov directed an adaptation of Grahame-Smith’s screenplay (with Burton remaining as producer). According to Gina McIntyre, Burton’s goal as a producer “has largely been to help preserve the project’s unique character to the greatest extent possible.” During the making of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, Grahame-Smith worked with Burton on the screenplay to “Dark Shadows”. Both were released in summer 2012.
The principle conceit of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, established early in the film and explored throughout, is that there are vampires throughout the world. These vampires have been responsible for some of the more unsavory practices in history. In the United States, they are the principal benefactors of the slave trade (it is unclear whether the South is totally under their thrall, but a scene between head vampire Adam [Rufus Sewell] and Jefferson David [John Rothman] shows that they are colluding). In this version of the nineteenth century, the causes of the Civil War are not open to debate: this is a war over slavery- and, by extension, vampirism- that is not over until both are removed from the nation. In fact, rather than grow into the role of abolitionist gradually, our Abraham Lincoln is ideologically righteous from the start. He witnesses the assault on his friend Will, a young slave boy. He vows revenge on Jack Barts (Marton Csokas), a man who he comes to learn is a slaver and a vampire. For Lincoln, Barts is doubly guilty. This vampire bites (and possible r***s) Lincoln’s mother while he watches. When he grows up (the adult version of Abe is played by Benjamin Walker), his desire for vengeance leads him to Henry Sturges (Dominic Cooper), an eccentric and seemingly ageless man who advises Lincoln in a long war against the vampires. Lincoln acts as Sturges’ enforcer, attacking vampires as ordered. Only later does he realize that Sturges is himself a vampire, and is carrying on against Adam and his cabal for personal reasons not unlike Lincoln’s own. In this world, vampires cannot harm other vampires. Abaraham Lincoln must act on Sturges’s behalf.
The film roughly splits into three narrative sections: Lincoln’s childhood and initial trauma; his life as a young man in Springfield, Illinois; and his time as president, including his personal stake in the Civil War. The middle section is the best executed, despite playing like an extended rethinking of John Ford’s “Young Mr. Lincoln” (1939). Here, Abe meets store owner and later political confidant Joshua Speed (Jimmi Simpson), is reunited with Will, courts Mary Todd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), debates Stephen Douglas (Alan Tudyk), and learns about the vampires’ larger set of plans. The sections of Lincoln’s time in office feel especially condensed, since they cover all of the Civil War. One of the film’s major historical liberties is that it sets up the personal and political climax at the battle of Gettysburg, where Union soldiers are fighting against Confederates and their vampire leaders. Lincoln has it out with Adam on a train carrying a supply of silver that is en route to the fashioned into weaponry that can actually harm these supernatural foes.
Although at times overly generic (its focus on some of the more well-known battles and people of the nineteenth century feels lazy, or like a pat on the back to a basic recognition of American history), “Abaraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” reflects Grahame-Smith’s and Bekmambetov’s personal interests. Grahame-Smith’s vampire mythology takes some well-known ideas (the transfer of blood through a bite, the aristocratic associations of vampires) and adds a few different ones (these vampires are able to function during daylight and are mainly impervious to silver, since Judas’ betrayal of Jesus had to do with thirty pieces of silver). The central thematic leap of the film (that the mast-slave relationship, which is founded in the uneven exploitation of one person by another, is analogous to vampirism) is rather clever, and helps explain how these vampires could find a ready supply of blood. However, this alignment between slavers and vampires does undercut the film’s relation to history. As Kim Newman notes, “Slavery was quite bad enough- indeed, worse than it’s depicted here- when it was an economic rather than supernatural phenomenon, and giving slavers fangs and dark glasses tends to excuse rather than underline a real historical human evil.”
This film has a slightly more subdued visual style than “Wanted” (2008), but still plays with a number of Bekmambetov’s favorite tricks. In particular, Bekmambetov takes advantage of digital cinema’s ability to augment time. During fight sequences, Lincoln’s skill as a warrior is rendered intelligible thanks to selected changes in speed, which variously showcase his precision with the ax and convince us of his superior strength and ability. Bekmambetov’s camera frequently moves and keeps the action coherent- it seems to avoid the kind of action-sequence immediacy suggested by shaky, handheld cameras that populate recent action films by Paul Greengrass (”The Bourne Ultimatum” [2007]) and Christopher Nolan (”The Dark Knight” [2008]).
The film opened in late June 2012 in the United States to roughly $16 million and largely negative reviews. Writing for “Wired” magazine’s “Underwire”, Hugh Hart opined that “the alt-history lessons and neck-chomping money shots deserve points for originality, but Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter could have truly triumphed as grand entertainment if only its anemic human characters had received the transfusion of humor and wit that such an outrageous concept demands.” Peter Travers noted that the film somehow lost the magic of the book, which “was a fun escapist read.” The film’s overblown action-theatrics left him saying that “the movie deserves a stake through the heart.” The film was defended by some critics as an occasionally worthwhile and technically competent action movie. For example, Ken Hanke says that “taken on its own terms as a po-faced presentation of goofy material, it’s rather fun.”- Kevin M. Flanagan

The Stackie fandom is truly a blessed fandom... we have the best content.
I was looking at old Stackie posts and I can't believe how far we've come.
Sebastian and Anthony have such a pure friendship it's just amazing to watch... They have a whole fandom dedicated to their friendship and their craziness
Stackie interviews and Stackie interactions are a work of art...
We have drama, 'Why aren't you looking at me as much in these interview'
We have recurring storylines, the couch story, Anthony wanting to go fishing with Sebastian and following up Sebastian, the Tom Holland jokes, whoever Nishka is...
We have move declarations: I stopped counting honestly, there are so many, they mostly from Seb though...
We have iconic lines:" which way is the beach Seabass which way is the beach Seabass" "Down there" "Oh My God Sebastian Stan"
We have millions of jokes.
They are so funny that there lines and jokes are being integrated into their show... how powerful is that???
And we even got a full show based on their frienship! What???
I remember a few years ago when we were asking for a Sambucky movie we never thought it would actually happen, it was like some wishful thinking, we even had petitionq going on and stuff like that but never though it would happen, but it did, thanks to the power of Stackie.
We also have character development, I remember in the early interviews Sebastian really seemed to be the shy one, rather relying on Anthony's support but now it's like he found himself and is able to make jokes on his own, he's actually the one making Anthony laugh now. And we found out that he's actually a funny guy. His Anthony Mackie impression? Gold!
As I said before I really never watch celebrity interviews, I usually just enjoy their movies or their shows, but Stackie interviews are the exception for me... their interviews feel like a show itself... Anthony's talent, his ability to improvise iconic lines in just a few seconds, mindblowing. Seb's admiration for Anthony, their incredible laughs together, it's just amazing to watch.
And just like a TV show we got to see their relationship evolve, we had season 1 with the CATWS press tours, Season 2 with CACW press tours Season 3 (kind of a spin off with special guest Winston Duke) and now digital season 4 with TFATWS press tour, their friendship is more solid than ever. It doesn't matter that they don't see eachother all the time... but the times they do it's like they never were separated.
I wish we all experience such a friendship whether it's at work or in our personal lives, someone who makes you laugh so much, and even when you meet up after months it feels like you just saw eachother yesterday.

Tumblr media
-> Heartbeats 💕 Masterlist
End of November 2022 Atlanta As the sun rose, light fell through the curtains into her bedroom right onto y/n's face. It would have waken her if she wasn't already awake for like an hour. It was currently 8:15am what means she had 15 minutes left until her alarm would go off. She hadn't sleep well – dreaming nervously about the upcoming day. The day she finally met the cast. The day she finally saw Anthony and Sebastian again. Her heartbeat fastened just by thinking about it. How would they react? Would they recognize her again?
She shook her head and crawled out of her bed. "It's too early for an unnecessary mental breakdown" she thought and sighed while heading to her closet. She rubbed her still tired eyes and thought about what to wear today. As Marvel didn't gave them any guideline what they need to wear on set, she didn't have to go shopping – or least even not more than usual.
A Marvel-shirt would be too pathetic, she thought. When she texted Christina to tell her that she was working with Anthony, Sebastian and Danny in the next month she got a package from her with a white Bucky merch t-shirt that showed a comic version of 40s Bucky along with a lot of his iconic phrases from the first movie.
Tumblr media
As much as she loved the shirt – 40s Bucky was always her favorite as she was #teamshorthair – wearing it today while meeting Sebastian would have been more freaky than anyone could handle. So she rooted through all of her shirts until she found a black Star Wars shirt with a blueprint of R2D2 on it. That would be her shirt for the day. Paired with a blue ripped jeans and her black converse. As it was November she also decided to add a plain black fleece jacket to her outfit. It could be cold in the trailers so she wanted to be prepared for every temperature.
She was supposed to be on set at 10:00am which was very luxurious, because normally they started very early in the morning to prepare the actors and actresses for their upcoming scenes. If they needed to do a lot of VFX make-up or 'sculpting' it wasn't unusual for them to start at 4:00am because it took them hours to apply the make-up.
But as today was their first day working with the cast there were no scenes planned. They should get to know each other and discuss about the planned styles for the movie. Y/n got a big folder for each character with drawings of costumes and possible hair and make-up styles they were going to wear throughout the entire movie. It was her job to show them to the actors today, styling the 'base style' (which would be like a daily look of hair and make-up that was used for most of the common scenes) and taking a lot of pictures from every possible angle so that they were able to re-create the style every day.
The actors were told to not visit a hairdresser and barber for two weeks before their first meeting with the hair and make-up team. So they normally looked a bit wild, like they were living on an desolated island for the last two weeks. Y/n always had a picture of Tom Hanks in 'Castaway' in mind, but to be honest: none of the actors she worked with before looked that devastated when they first met.
She was going to meet all three of the main actors today, so Jennifer sent her an e-mail with a time schedule for the day:
1) 10:30am Danny Ramirez => Cutting hair and beard for his base style. (See the picture of him from FATWS in your folder) => Meeting with costume department to talk about his styling while wearing the new falcon outfit (see photo in the folder - we don't have any ideas yet, maybe you have one!)
2) 01:00pm Anthony Mackie => Cutting hair and beard for his base style. (See the picture of him from FATWS in your folder)
3) 03:00 pm Sebastian Stan => Cutting hair and beard for his base style. (See the picture of him from FATWS in your folder)
She also got the information that she should send all of them to the costume department after she was finished, so that they can be fitted into the new costumes. Although they had their first fitting months ago, they wanted to make sure that the costumes still fit and that they didn't become to skinny or bulky.
She stood in the kitchen of her apartment while she was rushing over Jennifer's mail again. She jumped from the sound of her toaster - telling her that the two wholegrain toasts are ready for further actions. She put them on a plate, turned on the oven and cracked two eggs in a pan. While she was waiting for her sunny-side-eggs to be done she cut an avocado and spread it onto her toasts. She added some spices and the eggs and finished her breakfast with some sprinkles of sriracha sauce.
Avocado-egg-toasts was her favorite and blueberry porridge her second favorite breakfast. She grabbed her mug with cappuccino with her left hand, the plate with the toasts on it with her right one and sat down at her coffee table for breakfast. She turned the TV on and watched „Good Morning America" while munching on her toast.
After she was finished with her breakfast, she put the mug and plate in the sink and packed her stuff to leave the house. She didn't want to be late on the big day and it was still a 30 minutes drive to the Marvel headquarter - if there was no accident on the way or she got stuck in traffic.
But thankfully at this time the streets were not that full - regarding the fact that she was living in a huge city - and so she parked her car in the parking garage at 9:40am. Plenty of time to head into the 8th floor and meet with the others at 10:00am. On her way to the offices (she liked to call them offices although their rooms are not stereotypical offices.) she greeted a few people that she thought she had seen before - she was still not good with names though.
She stuck her head into one of the office to see Michelle who was working on a brown haired wig at the moment - y/n recognized the wig as the one for Scarlet Witch.
„Good Morning, Sunshine!" y/n said smiling.
Michelle jumped a little because she hadn't expected anyone to enter her office - although the door was wide open. She turned around on her swivel stool and immediately ran to hug y/n as she saw her. „Ah y/n! It's so good to see you. Today is the big day, isn't it?"
„Yeah! We have a meeting with Jennifer at 10 and then I'll start meeting the actors within the whole day."
„How do you feel? Nervous, scared to death, excited, awesome, fangirly?" Michelle asked and laughed while she tried to imagine her friend meeting Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.
Y/n scratched the back of her head in insecurity before she answered in a low voice: „I am super nervous. Hope all of them will like me and be happy with my work. They are all superstars. They pretty sure might have high expectations!"
Michelle patted her shoulder - then changed her mind and gave her friend a tight hug to comfort her. When she released y/n from the hug she said: „And you are a superstar in our business. Be confident! It's gonna be alright!"
Y/n smiled before she felt a vibration on her left wrist: her Apple Watch reminded her that the meeting with Jennifer was going to start in 10 minutes. She waved Michelle goodbye and headed down the corridor to one of the conference rooms. Jennifer was already inside the room but Mary and Susan weren't there yet. Y/n greeted Jennifer and smiled at her. Jennifer smiled back and said: „Big day, right?" y/n nodded nervously, the grip around the folders in her hands tightened.
Mary and Susan arrived in the room - both with a Starbucks cup in their hand. Jennifer quickly gave them instructions about who was working in which room. Mary's focus would be bringing Red Skull back to life in the room called 'Asgard', Susan would work closely with Emily today in the room 'Brooklyn' and y/n would have the room "Titan" for the boys.
She entered her room and threw her fleece jacket on a little couch in one corner. As they were staying in the headquarter today and not going to enter the huge halls that included different sets and trailers, she wouldn't need it. It was warm inside.
The centerpiece of the room was a large desk that was facing one of the walls and a comfortable looking turning chair in front of it. On the wall was a huge mirror that was surrounded by bright lights. Not like classical light bulbs – it was brighter. The light helped her to see everything as best as possible, although it made it sometimes difficult to chose the right tone of make-up. What looked perfect in the bright light turned out to look awful in natural light. That's why she was happy that the room also had a window with another chair in front of it so that she could immediately see how the make-up would look like in natural light. In the end the light on set was mostly something in between the bright light and natural light. That depended on the location and if they were shooting outside or inside.
Next to the desk was a large trolley with everything she needed for her job. Marvel gave them the best possible equipment, so she didn't need to ask for anything specific.
~~~
Right before 10:30am she heard a knock on the door. She was surprised because there was no need to knock as the door was wide open.
She saw a 5'9 tall black-haired man standing in the doorframe – smiling at her. She didn't recognize him as Danny Ramirez at first because he had curly long hair that reached almost to his shoulders. "Jeez, didn't they told you only had to skip your visit at the hairdresser for two weeks – not two years?", she joked and welcomed him to her office. She hadn't met him before, but he was very charismatic and around her age, so they had a good connection right from the beginning.
"Ouch. That did hurt.", he answered while entering the room. His hand went to his heart and he excessively pretended to be physically hurt by her statement. She smiled at him.
"Sorry, didn't mean to hurt you. I'm y/n by the way. You have the honor to work with me for the next months and today I am going to tame that before we even start preparing your falcon look." she said pointing on his hair. "Congratulations on the promotion by the way" she added.
"I needed to shave my hair completely for TopGun and afterwards I just let it grow the way it wanted to grow – not visiting a hairdresser at all. But I am pretty sure Torres won't be happy with it. Long hair seems to be impractical because there will always be at least one strand of hair in vision. We don't want Torres to crash just because of a new haircut."
Y/n nodded in agreement before she opened the folder with the letters "Joaquin Torres" on it. The first pictures were detailed looks of his style from FATWS – the style she should re-create out of his mane today. She showed him one of the pictures and asked: "Ready to lose some hair?"
"Ready when you are!" he answered and jumped onto the chair in front of the mirror. She prepared everything to cut his hair – but hesitated a second before she started. She took a deep breath, smiled at Danny and started to re-create the common look of Lieutenant Joaquin Torres. A lot of strands were laying on the floor while she whirled the scissors around his head. He watched patiently as his style changed from 60s hippy to a modern man.
When they were finished Danny looked at himself in the mirror and murmured: "Missed you, Torres." Y/n compared the new haircut to the pictures of FATWS and both of them were happy with it. She then grabbed her phone and called Mariana from the costume department, because she wanted to be there as well when they discuss about Torres whole style as the new falcon.
She arrived after a few minutes because her office was just on the other side of the corridor. Y/n opened the folder with the pictures again and put three pictures onto the desk in front of them:
1)      The comic-version of Joaquin Torres as Falcon
2)      The raw drawing of the MCU Torres-Falcon with helmet
3)      The raw drawing of the MCU Torres-Falcon without helmet
In the original comics Torres was kidnapped as a Teenager and experimented on by Dr. Karl Malus. As final result of those genetic experiment Torres 'achieved' permanent mutations including wings that allowed him to fly.
Tumblr media
Obviously the MCU took a different turn with Torres as he was not a mutant in FATWS. When Sam left the old – broken – wings behind,Torres repaired them on his own and gave them a little fresh-up. So the MCU Falcon-suit for Torres was based on the old wings from Sam, that were worn like a backpack. As Torres was still part of the army the color pattern of his suit was green and brown – similar colors than his suit in the comics. But it looked more like a military uniform than a classical superhero suit.
Mariana cleared her throat before she said: "We are still not sure if we want the look with or without the helmet. What would be the difference for your work, y/n?"
"Well, if he is going to wear a helmet most of the time, we just need to style his hair in scenes where he is a civilian. Makes my job easier." She laughed before she continued "But if we decide to do the helmless version of Torres, I need to do a few tests with his hair and a wind machine to be sure that his style is realistic. When we pretend him to fly around for several minutes we need to make sure that his style has the perfect mixture between loose enough to move within the wind – so that the audience really believes that he is flying around and not hanging on some wires in front of a bluescreen – but also fixed enough to not destroy his style or blowing strands into his eyes."
Both Danny and Mariana looked at y/n with furrowed brows. She looked back at them in confusion – not sure if she said something wrong. Mariana was the one to answer:
"I never thought about the necessary to make the style believable for the audience but of course, that's a valid point."
"We don't want a repetition of the Captain Marvel hair failure from Endgame, do we?", y/n said calm referring on the fact that Captain Marvel's hair was fully CGI in one scene of Avengers: Endgame. She was supposed to be in space in that scene and her hair were not following any rules of physic – fans referred to her hair as anti-gravity-hair in articles. A lot of people laughed about the fact that it looked so unrealistic and how Marvel could do such a huge mistake.
Mariana sighed – seemed like she heard about that little fail. "We start with scenes before Torres wears his Falcon-suit the first time so I am going to talk to Anthony, Joe and Kevin about the helmet-or-no-helmet-question. How would you decide if you were them?"
"Well." Y/n said slowly "Even it is more work for me I would prefer him without the helmet. Sam Wilson's Captain America has kind of a helmet and I don't want Torres to be just a 'green duplicate of Captain America without a shield'. Also look at his hair. It looks gorgeous!" She fluffed through Danny's hair making him scream a little like a child. Both of them laughed and Mariana shook his head in disbelieve how childish both of them were.
~~~
She needed to clean the whole room because Danny's hair were literally everywhere after their meeting with Mariana. It was 11:50am when she was finished - time for lunch. She wasn't on the mood for going outside and find some restaurant to have lunch so she just went into the big cafeteria that was included in the Marvel headquarter for their employees. There was a big salad buffet so she grabbed a bowl and loaded it with all ingredients for her salad. She picked some baguette and a Coke Zero aside, paid and strolled through the cafeteria - looking for someone she knows.
She found Michelle sitting on a table with Susan so y/n took a seat on their table. The three of them had a lot in common - all of them loved to read books, were fans of science fictions movies and shows and liked modern rock bands like Green Day or Thirty Seconds to Mars. As Michelle was not on the same team as y/n she was happy that she had at least Susan by her side. They were going to Europe to film a few months abroad and y/n liked the idea of having someone familiar and friendly around.
Susan and her get to know each other just a week ago but they were immediately good friends. The same way as she and Michelle linked a few months ago. The three of them already had a movie night with popcorn and tortillas - watching FATWS. „It's research - so we're practically working right now!" y/n remembered Susan saying when she grabbed the remote control and opened Disney+.
Susan and y/n were chatting about their meetings before lunch and Michelle was listening patiently. She was not working on a specific movie right now. She just finished attending the re-shoots for 'Black Panther 2: Wakanda forever' and was happy to have little bit of free time in Atlanta. Regular working hours with free evenings for dates and parties were rare while working on a movie set.
Y/n felt the vibrations of her Apple Watch to remind her that she had 10 minutes left until her meeting with Anthony. She said goodbye to the other girls and headed back to 'Titan' - her office of the day.
Anthony was already inside her room, sitting on the couch and looking at his phone. He looked up to her when she entered the room.
„What an honor to work with Hollywoods best hair and make-up artist!" he said grinning at her. She reminded him saying that to her at Christina's party as well. He stood up and gave her a hug.
„So he does remember me. Crazy with all the people he got to know that evening. Will Sebastian remember me as well?" she thought before he let her out of the hug. She had both of her hands on his shoulders and was observing his hair and beard closely.
„Hey don't look at me like that. YOU told us to not get a haircut or shave the beard." he said as he thought she was shocked about his appearance. But as he looked exactly like in FATWS just with a little longer beard she answered snickering: „Mackie your beard grew maybe a millimeter, not more. You look like always."
„Thanks! I know that I look amazing." he answered and clapped with his right hand on her left shoulder before he turned to the chair in front of the mirror and sat down.
„This was not a compliment!" she hissed at him but he waved his hand as he was not accepting what she said.
He sat right in front of the mirror and she found him looking at her hands while she was combing his short hair. She wondered why he was observing her moves in such detail, but she pushed away the confusion and focused on her work again.
There was not much to do with Anthony as he was already looking like Sam Wilson who was on vacation without his shaving machine. So she trimmed his beard a bit and was done after 20 minutes.
„Well, that was fast and easy." she said while she took some pictures for the folder.
He smiled and checked his style in the mirror. He nodded in agreement before he looked at y/n and said: „Thank you. I am looking forward to work with you for the next months."
She smiled and said: „Me too, Mackie. You deserve to have your own movie on the big screen. You're doing a good job as cap!"
His look softened a bit as he was really touched by her words. „Thank you" he said before regaining his sassy look again: „Are you ready for the Romanian god himself ? Mister sexy Seabass?"
Her eyes widened in shock and she needed to cough in disbelieve what he had just said.
She hadn't realized the brown-haired man with the steel blue eyes standing in the doorframe behind her as she was focused on taking pictures of Mackie.
„You know that I hate it when you call me that, choccocino" Sebastian said with a trembling voice.
Y/n listened to his voice - unsure if she should turn around to him saying Hello or just melt into the ground right here right now.
It felt like Christina's birthday party was played like a movie inside her head. Making her remember ever word they changed. Making her remember the short period of time when their hands touched each other's. She felt her ears burning just by thinking about it.
„You are standing here like youre made out of stone. Do something you stupid idiot." she thought, but her body did not respond to her commands.
As she was finally able to move, she lifted her head and looked into Sebastian's eyes through the mirror in front of her. He leaned with his right shoulder on the doorframe, smiled at her and raised his left hand for a welcoming wave. She smiled back at him before she turned around to look at him face-to-face.
„You are early!" Mackie said before y/n even had a chance to say something. Not that she was fully sure, she would be able to speak.
She hadn't thought about him for months. She even was able to watch 'Pam & Tommy' without thinking of him - which was a miracle despite the fact he was playing Tommy Lee. But there he was standing right in front of her and she behaved like a 16-year old teenager again. What the hell.
„Yeah I was lonely in my hotel room, so I thought about coming over and look what you're doing." Sebastian answered while entering the room and heading towards y/n.
„Hi y/n, good to see you again. How are you doing?" he asked while giving her a hug. Her body finally decided to function again so she smiled at him while he let her out of the hug - his hands still laying on her waist.
„I am doing pretty good. Now that I have a safe job and can pay my rent and food. How about you?"
„Happy that I don't have to pay rent anymore as I bought my apartment a long time ago. But instead I spent my money on way too much bruschetta and pizza!" he laughed.
She looked critical at him from head to toes, her brows furrowed. „Well you still look like you are in good shape!" she said after a few seconds.
He sighed in relief as he was expecting her saying something mean - he spent way too much time with Anthony!
Speaking of Anthony: he laughed while he watched them interact before he stood up from the chair in front of the desk. „So y/n if we are done here, I am heading to the costume department to have a look at my amazing suit again."
„Yeah Mackie, we are done. Always a pleasure. See you around!" y/n said while Anthony left the room. Not without clapping on Sebastian's shoulder when he passed him.
As trimming Anthony's beard didn't make too much of a mess y/n quickly grabbed her vacuum cleaner and cleaned the place around the chair so that Sebastian could sit down. „I know we're way before your scheduled time, but if you want to already start - take a seat!" she said to him.
„I always do what I'm told!" he said while winking at her.
He sat down in front of her, looking into her eyes through the mirror. She rested both of her hands on his shoulders and felt the muscles underneath his dark blue sweatshirt. He really was in good shape.
He fixed his eyes on her while she was walking around the chair to open the folder with „Bucky Barnes" on it. She quickly grabbed the first photo and put it on the desk in front of Sebastian. She continued walking around his chair to diligently observe his beard and hair - imagining in her head how she should cut both to re-create Bucky's look. The producers and directors decided that he should look the same as in FATWS - he just got a new costume.
„Your eyes are even greener than I remember" he said into the silence. She looked up to the mirror and their gazes met.
„That's the light. Yours look more like shallow water on the Maldives than classic ocean blue eyes as Marvelpedia says." she casually answered.
„Shallow water on the Maldives? Nobody described my eyes like that before" he laughed. Thank god he didn't say anything about 'Marvelpedia' because that made y/n look like a little stalker. I mean of course she googled him. Who wouldn't? She needed to know stuff about him. For the sake of her work. Nothing else, of course.
Y/n blushed and she could feel her ears burning.
None of them said another word until y/n started preparing the trolley with scissors for his haircut.
„You're okay with that style?" she asked him while pointing on the photo on the desk.
„I don't have a choice, have I?" he sighed dramatically. Y/n raised her eyebrow while looking at him in the mirror and he added: „Just kidding. I like the short hair more than the long one. Wearing a wig always made me uncomfortable. Also the short hair mean a lot to Bucky as he is finally able to move on from his past."
„You sound like one of the Bucky Fangirls on Tumblr." she laughed and patted him on both shoulders.
„I am Bucky's biggest fangirl." he answered and made a strange movement with his hand. She wasn't sure what he wanted to express with it and he realized that it was awkward so he put his hand back on his leg - pretending nothing had happened.
His hair was a bit longer than it needed to be what resulted into small curls on the top of his head. He had very thick hair and a lot of them. One of the advantages of being Romanian. They have amazing hair!
Before she took the scissors she elevated her right hand at the back of his head and stroked carefully through the short hair on his neck. She saw him closing his eyes and moving the head so that his chin was laying on his chest. She continued running through his hair and reached the top part of his head.
For a brief second she thought hearing him purr, but that must be an imagination.
She enjoyed touching his hair and on his relaxed face expression she saw that he liked it, too. She tried to be as tender as possible as she stroked through his hair a few times. Of course she didn't need that for cutting his hair as it was just a little bit longer than it needed to be.
His shoulder lifted and lowered with every breath and she saw that he became more relaxed with ever stroke of her fingertips. She started to draw little circles with her finger what ended up into a head massage.
The room was filled with silence - you could only hear them breathing simultaneous. Somehow the massage connected them in a way that heartbeat and breathing were in the same rhythm.
As her fingertips continue running over his scalp a soft moan left his mouth. He was so relaxed that he didn't even realized it, but y/n did and the sound made something burn inside her core. She couldn't help herself of smiling like a maniac.
Y/n leaned forward to his right ear and whispered: „As much as I love massaging you Sebastian Stan, I really need to cut your hair or I lose my job."
Wait. Did she really use the term ‚love' in the same sentence as ‚Sebastian Stan'? What the hell had this man done to her. She barley knew him, but she never felt connected to someone the way she did with him. That's weird to think about, and even more weird to speak it out loud, so she was happy that she was just having an internal discussion inside of her brain.
After a few seconds - that felt like years - he opened his eyes with a shy smile on his lips and lifted his head again in a neutral position. Her head was still near his ear while they looked each other in the eyes - none of them able to speak.
She raised her upper body again so she was standing behind him, her hands resting on his shoulders again.
„I don't want you to lose your job. But you need to know that from now on I expect a massage every day before work." he said calm.
„You wish!" she exclaimed and with their laughter the weird tension between them was gone.
„You know..." she added. „I am not only good at head massages. I do pretty good back massages as well. At least when you trust the opinion of my ex-boyfriends."
His eyes widened a bit and when she saw it she realized what she just said - resulting her face in becoming red like a tomato. She needed to turn around to pretend grabbing the scissors, because she was scared that he could see her face.
„I will come back to this one day!" he winked at her - what didn't help with the whole tomato-face-situation.
She managed to grab the scissors and quickly started to cut his hair. It wasn't much work so she was done after 10 minutes. She continued to shorten his beard to a length that looked like he hadn't shaved for five days. This gave Bucky a wild, rusty and sharpe look.
When both of them were happy with the results she quickly removed the snipped hair from his shoulders and chest. He stood up and tapped at his sweatshirt to remove every remaining hair as good as possible. He turned around and faced y/n with a big smile.
„Thank you for cutting my hair and beard. And also for the massage. That was a pretty good massage." he said and his right hand touched her left forearm carefully. She smiled back at him - feeling very stupid that she was not able to do anything but smile.
„You're welcome. When you enter the hair and make-up trailer early on shooting days, I maybe have a few seconds to give you another massage"
„That would be amazing" he answered, grabbed her arm and took her into a tight goodbye-hug. Her hands were wrapped around his upper body, her head on his chest as he was taller than her. Meanwhile his arms were laying on her lower back and his face was placed on the side of her neck. She could feel his breath and felt his heart beat right next to hers.
He started to move one of his hands up and down - sending a shiver down her spine.
What. Was. This. Man. Doing. To. Her.

For his entire tenure as an Avenger, Anthony Mackie had never been the first name on the call sheet.
In a galaxy of stars populated by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, the actor was aware of his place in the on-set pecking order, but would never miss an opportunity to make his presence felt.
“Number six on the call sheet has arrived!” Mackie would routinely shout on films like “Captain America: Civil War” and the box office-busting “Infinity Saga” sequels, according to Marvel chief creative officer Kevin Feige.
It exemplifies the sort of winning tone that the 42-year-old actor has brought to his superhero character the Falcon, aka Sam Wilson, for six movies from the top-earning studio — wry and collegial humor, with the potential to turn explosive at any moment. Both Mackie and his character are set to burn brighter than ever when the Disney Plus series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” lands on March 18.
On that call sheet, “Anthony is No. 1,” Feige is happy to report, “but it still says ‘No. 6.’ He kept it because he didn’t want it to go to his head.” The series is essentially a two-hander with his friend and longtime co-star Sebastian Stan, the titular soldier. All six episodes were produced and directed by Emmy winner Kari Skogland (“The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The Loudest Voice”). The series, for which combined Super Bowl TV spot and trailer viewership earned a record-breaking 125 million views this year, is reported to have cost $150 million in total.
For Mackie, though, the show comes at a critical time for both his career and for representation in the MCU. Sam Wilson is graduating from handy wingman (Falcon literally gets his job done with the use of mechanical wings), having been handed the Captain America shield by Evans in the last “Avengers” film. While it’s unclear if he will formally don the superhero’s star-spangled uniform moving forward (as the character did in a 2015 comic series), global fandoms and the overall industry are still reeling from the loss of Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed Marvel’s Black Panther to culture-defining effect. With this new story, Mackie will become the most visible African American hero in the franchise. And when asked whether he’ll be taking the mantle of one of its most iconic characters, he doesn’t exactly say no.
“I was really surprised and affected by the idea of possibly getting the shield and becoming Captain America. I’ve been in this business a long time, and I did it the way they said you’re supposed to do it. I didn’t go to L.A. and say, ‘Make me famous.’ I went to theater school, did Off Broadway, did indie movies and worked my way through the ranks. It took a long time for this shit to manifest itself the way it has, and I’m extremely happy about that,” Mackie says.
Feige says that, especially with the advent of Disney Plus and the freedom afforded long-form storytelling, the moment was right to give the Falcon his due.
“Suddenly, what had been a classic passing of the torch from one hero to another at the end of ‘Endgame’ became an opening up of our potential to tell an entire story about that. What does it really mean for somebody to step into those shoes, and not just somebody but a Black man in the present day?” says Feige.

Like many comic book heroes, Mackie has an origin story marked by tragedy at a young age — specifically around the loss of a parental figure. The New Orleans native is the youngest of six children from a tight-knit middle-class family, whose trajectory was spun into chaos when his mother was stricken with a terminal illness.
“It was unexpected and very untimely. I was 15 when she was diagnosed with cancer, and a few months later, she was gone. She passed the day before my ninth-grade graduation,” Mackie recalls. “If my mom wouldn’t have passed away when I was so young, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
Mackie had already gravitated toward the performing arts before the loss of his mother, having enrolled at the pre-professional school New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. Like many young people grappling with trauma, Mackie says he began to act out. A core group of teachers helped get him out of trouble. Ray Vrazel, still an instructor at the school, personally drove the student to a Houston-based audition for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he was accepted for his senior year of high school.
“Everything I did, I did for my mama. The idea of leaving home at 17 to go away to school would have never been an option if she was still around. She was my best friend. Losing her gave me a kind of strength, and a desire to succeed,” Mackie says.
Succeed he did. Spending that formative year as a minor on a college campus helped Mackie find his “tribe,” a misfit crew of artists and performers, which propelled him to acceptance at New York’s prestigious Juilliard School in 1997. There he was part of the breakthrough class of students of color to be chosen for the notoriously selective drama program, which Mackie says was liberating given the institution’s track record.
“Our year was a huge transition. There were hardly any Asian people in the drama program, maybe one or two Black people and hardly any Black women. In our class, we had three black women, two black men, one Native American, one Asian female, out of 20 people. Ever since then, the classes have been wildly diverse,” says Mackie, whose fellow students included stage and film star Tracie Thoms and actor Lee Pace.
Tumblr media
Following his training, Mackie launched a staggeringly versatile career. He has played Tupac Shakur and Martin Luther King Jr. to similar acclaim, a juicehead bodybuilder in “Pain & Gain” and a homeless gay teen in the Sundance player “Brother to Brother.” He has exhibited remarkable staying power in an industry that often pigeonholes actors and has a pockmarked soul when it comes to inclusion.
“I was drawn to Anthony because of his electrifying ability to combine intensity with sensitivity, courage with compassion, and all of it comes across as inevitable, as if it could be no other way,” says Kathryn Bigelow, who directed him in the 2009 best picture Oscar winner “The Hurt Locker.”
Samuel L. Jackson, whom Mackie calls a mentor and has played alongside in several films, says he has “an innate quality that first and foremost makes everyone want to cast him.” On a recent idle Netflix search, Jackson came across Mackie’s latest sci-fi film, “Outside the Wire,” and it triggered a memory of sitting in the audience for his performance in the 2010 Broadway production of Martin McDonagh’s play “A Behanding in Spokane.”
“Watching him onstage, I thought, he’s a very adroit actor capable of putting on many hats. He’s fearless and will try to be anybody. Then, on my TV, he’s playing a nanobyte soldier or some shit,” Jackson says.
Though always humble about getting the next job, pre-Marvel Mackie was rarely offered pole position.
“There were certain pegs. My first was ‘8 Mile.’ It was a monumental step at the beginning of my career,” Mackie says of the 2002 Curtis Hanson film that elevated rapper Eminem to multi-hyphenate stardom.
“After that it was ‘Half Nelson.’ It blew up Ryan Gosling, so I was there to ride the wave. Then ‘The Hurt Locker,’ and it blew up Jeremy Renner. It was the joke for a long time — if you’re a white dude and you want to get nominated for an Oscar, play opposite me. I bring the business for white dudes,” says Mackie.
He remembers the sensation “Hurt Locker” caused during its awards season. It was a moment he thought would change everything as he stood on the stage of the Dolby Theatre with the cast and filmmakers, having just sipped from George Clooney’s flask while Halle Berry radiated a few rows away.
“I thought I would be able to move forward in my career and not have to jostle and position myself for work. To get into rooms with certain people. I thought my work would speak for itself. I didn’t feel a huge shift,” he says, “but I 100% think that ‘The Hurt Locker’ is the reason I got ‘Captain America.’”
He’s referring to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” the 2014 Marvel film that was the first to be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (the current title holders for the highest-grossing film of all time with “Avenges: Endgame”). Mackie says that blockbuster not only gave him his largest platform to date but changed expectations of superhero movies forever.
“It was the first of the espionage, Jason Bourne-esque action movies at Marvel. After that, the movies shifted and had different themes and were more in touch with the world we live in, more grounded,” he says.
Bolstered by the words of another mentor, Morgan Freeman, Mackie feels no bitterness about his path.
“We did ‘Million Dollar Baby’ together, and when we were shooting this movie, I got offered a play. When you do Off Broadway, it’s $425 a week. In New York, that’s really $75 per week. I got a movie offer at the same time, and it was buckets of money. Three Home Depot buckets of money were going to be dropped off at my door,” Mackie says. “The script was awful; the whole thing was slimy. I went to Morgan’s trailer and asked him what he would do. He took a second and said, ‘Do the play. When Hollywood wants you, they’ll come get you. And when they come get you, they’ll pay for it.’ That blew my mind, and I left him that day with such a massive amount of confidence. He’s been a huge influence on me.”
He used the currency of that first Russo Brothers film and five subsequent ones to do what many creators and performers in Hollywood have done in recent years to help balance the scales of profit and representation in content: make things on his own.
Last year, Mackie produced and starred in “The Banker” — what would be Apple Studios’ first foray into original streaming film distribution and the awards landscape — through his banner Make It With Gravy. The film follows the true story of America’s first Black bankers and the white frontman they deployed to acquire the institution, all while supporting Black-owned businesses and communities in the process. A late-breaking scandal over sexual misconduct accusations involving the real-life family members of the film’s subjects delayed the release, overshooting awards-season deadlines and entangling the fledgling producer.
“It was a good lesson, and gave me a new perspective on the world around us. It’s very important to me that the women by my side are treated equally. It was a valuable lesson learned. I was very humbled by my sisters, for once not being mean to me,” he says.
Mackie is in development on the film “Signal Hill,” about the early days of lawyer Johnnie Cochran and the theater he brought to courtrooms long before the O.J. Simpson trial, and is hoping to secure the life story of civil rights pioneer Claudette Colvin as a vehicle for his directorial debut. Raising four sons of his own now, Mackie wants his off-screen work to make them well-rounded men.
“Look at Robin Williams,” he says. “He used to be crass and funny, and then he had kids, and he started doing all these family-friendly movies. Same thing with Eddie Murphy. I’m trying to curate my children’s experience with the things that I’ll be producing, rather than starring in. That’s what is most important. They know my job is my job; they know who I am. I’ve given up the idea of them ever thinking that I’m cool,” he says.
Jokes about the call sheet are among many of Mackie’s filming quirks. Jackson says that sets are often littered with hidden cigar stubs, to be fired up between takes or after long days. Bigelow says his rapport with crew has led to nights where the “clock was ticking but it was impossible to regain composure enough to shoot.” But according to Evans, no Mackie-ism is more famous than the phrase he bellows whenever his directors cut a scene: “Cut the check!”
Evans says this “will be forever associated with Mackie. I find myself saying it on sets all the time. I love it. But I’ll never be able to say it as well as him.”
As the man handing Mackie his armor, Evan says the Falcon’s “role within the Marvel universe has answered the call to action time and time again. He’s proven his courage, loyalty and reliability over multiple films. Sam has given so much, and he’s also lost a lot too. He believes in something bigger than himself, and that type of humility is necessary to carry the shield.”
Tumblr media
The question of Sam Wilson’s humanity will be explored at length in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” what Mackie calls a deeper showcase for both himself and Stan and their characters. It was a prospect that at first confused and frightened him.
“I didn’t think we could do on the television what we’d been doing on the big screen. I didn’t want to be the face of the first Marvel franchise to fail. Like, ‘See? We cast the Black dude, and now this shit is awful.’ That was a huge fear of mine, and also a huge responsibility with playing a Marvel character,” Mackie says.
He was quickly assuaged by the level of depth in the scripts from head writer Malcolm Spellman (“Empire,” “Truth Be Told”), especially when it came to the nuances of Wilson — a Black American man with no powers beyond his badass wings.
“Sam Wilson as played by Mackie is different than a Thor or a Black Panther, because he’s not from another planet or a king from another country,” Feige says. “He’s an African American man. He’s got experience in the military and doing grief counseling with soldiers who have PTSD. But where did he grow up? Who is his family? Mackie was excited to dig into it as this man, this Black man in particular, in the Marvel version of the world outside our window.”
Mackie celebrates Sam’s relatability in a universe full of mythological gods and lab-made enforcers. “I’m basically the eyes and ears of the audience, if you were put in that position where you could go out and fight alongside superheroes. It adds a really nice quality to him, that he’s a regular guy who can go out there and do special things,” Mackie says.
While bound by standard Marvel-grade secrecy, the actor confirms there have been no discussions of a second season for “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” As the majority of domestic movie theaters remain closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, he is equally unaware of the theatrical prospects for his Falcon character — or the Captain he may become by the end of this Disney Plus run. For now, he’s content to take up the mantle left by Boseman, a quietly understood pact of responsibility to Marvel-loving kids the world over.
“For Chad and I, [representation] was never a conversation that needed to be had because of our backgrounds. There was a hinted-at understanding between the two of us, because we’re both from humble beginnings in the South; we have very similar backgrounds. We knew what the game was. We knew going into it,” he says.
Outside comic book movies, Mackie is not done searching as a performer. There is a particular genre he would very much like to cut him a check.
“My team gets mad at me for saying this, but I would love to do a cheesy old-school ‘When Harry Met Sally’-type of project,” he says. “One of those movies where I’m working outside and have to take my shirt off because it’s too hot. I want a romantic comedy. I want to do every movie written for Matthew McConaughey that he passed on.”

NOTE: This video will not play for those outside of the UK.
“Sebastian, you’re Bucky Barnes, AKA The Winter Soldier - how the heck did that happen?”
Sebastian: “I don’t know - I really don’t know. 2010 was definitely a turning point in my life, and it was getting this part. And it was all still speculative at the time because we had a lot of, uh, a lot of talks and meetings about the potential of this character and what he would become; whether or not he would ever be even explored as the Winter Soldier at the time. It was just more about the success of Captain America: The First Avenger and, and , and how much that story in itself worked. The fact that we were able to get it this far is, you know, a huge success, but it’s definitely something that’s attributed to many factors and, you know, I think there was always a plan there, but there were many times along the road I didn’t quite know how it was going to happen, or if it was gonna happen. It’s always kind of like an on-going discovery; I think people think we know a lot more about these things, but I think one of - one of the good things about Marvel is that the are always remaining very flexible and reflective of the times and what the fans respond to, and what’s the most interesting storyline, and what feels right, and then that’s kinda where decisions get made. So now we’re here - ten years later.”
“I’m loving it, yeah. So just to be clear; it started off as just Bucky. Apparently, the story goes that you only realised you were playing The Winter Soldier when the title was announced in 2013.”
Sebastian: “Yep; that - that also, uh, I think, I think the way I really learned about it was my, uh - a - I had a friend who texted me from Comic Con (interviewer laughs quietly) saying ‘Dude, they’ve just relay - the, the, the people your name’s in the title, and I was like ‘Oh. I mean that’s, I guess I’m, that’s - that’s good, that means that I’m in the movie, right? (interviewer laughs quietly) I mean -’ So, yeah, that’s very also true.”
“And talking of titles, was there ever any conversation about the show being called The Winter Soldier and The Falcon?”
Sebastian: “You know, first of all, I’ve already had my name in a title of a movie, you know - ”
“Ah, yes.”
Sebastian: “Arguably, Falcon we haven’t really ever learned his backstory period, I mean, you know, it’s - it’s a tough one to argue because I technically have had two movies dedicated to my character (laughs). So in a way I feel like, you know, it really should be about the Falcon, to be honest.”
“You gotta give him a leg up, that guy, Anthony Mackie.”
Sebastian: “Sometimes he might need a hell of a lot more than that. He’s got the legs covered, I’ll tell you that. (interviewer laughs) I mean the guy doesn’t skip leg day but - ”
“No Sir. And how happy are you now that you don’t have to wear the mask and the goggles anymore?”
Sebastian: (laughs) No, I kinda liked the mask. I, I - I was always a little bit hesitant of the goggles because when you have the goggles, you don’t have the, the eyes and so like as an actor, you wanna use the eyes, right? But the mask was kind of a cool thing because I knew what the Winter Soldier had looked like in the comic books, I knew - but any, you know and again, we had tried the eyeliner and, and that was sort of an interesting, bold choice and fortunately we decided to kind of maybe not use it, uh, so much, although it had made sense at one point that he had been - you know, he’d been using that; but it - that was just a - a nod to the comics, when he has the actual (motions across his eyes) you know, but again, the mask made the characters so much more brutal and sort of machine like and then that kind of informed a little bit of how, how I was gonna play that role at the time, so it was kind of a cool thing. I’m always a believer less is more and all that stuff, which is again why I was really worried this time around, I was like ‘ don’t, don’t give me, don’t give me too many - too many words (interviewer laughs quietly) because, (laughs) because I’ve been a lot better without a lot of words.’ So now if we’re gonna say something - what are we gonna say, you know?”
“What - who am I?”
Sebastian: ”Always the question, my friend. It never ends.” (laughs)
“You’ve worked with some utterly incredible people in these movies over the years. I was wondering who intimidated you the most because back in the day, you once told me this story of what happened to you when you first shot a scene with THE Robert Redford.”
Sebastian: “Oh man, that was such a good dream come true. All I wanted was to ask him about everything (interviewer laughs quietly) that he had ever experienced, and he was so kind. And yeah, I mean you work with these actors and you sort of kind of start to see how they do it, and I think I was always very lucky because I felt, you know, the Captain America trilogies and, and storylines were always very grounded, it’s really after like the most relatable storyline. Robert Redford got to be Robert Redford, with all that intensity, in our movie, um you know, that was the same guy from 3 Days Of Condor and stuff, and so like, you know, he really sort of was perfect in that part.”
“I - I know you’ve explained this a million times on a thousand different interviews, but indulge me. How does that metal arm work on set and how has that process evolved over the years?”
Sebastian: “Well the arm itself has changed. The first arm was really, really difficult to work with, in fact, it - we had to have like, it broken in two pieces because the one piece in itself, like the hero one, the particular material that shined and was the most - that looked the most metal was, was a really hard material so I couldn’t even like (motions moving arm) - just getting it to, to use it was like, extremely difficult. But again, that also informed sort of a kind of a behavior of the character in a way and I, and I remember refusing to, to wear the le - the, the the less shiny one. I wanted the hard, uncomfortable material because that was - was gonna look the best. And then as we went, obviously once he got a new arm, - every time they, they mold them again, based on your body; it’s all very specific to you. And then this particular one was the most flexible one, and again, it’s like one piece; obviously it can’t be a whole full on arm, right, ‘cos otherwise how are you going to get into it? - but it was the most, uh, comfortable one. But yeah, I still find myself sometimes catering to the old one, you know, ‘cos it just had such a specific shine to it and it was so iconic in the comic books so um -. But yeah, its, it’s a whole thing and, and it, it does do something to you after a while because you are essentially working your left arm more - ”
“Yeah.”
Sebastian: “ - I mean, it’s, it’s a very tiny, tiny difference, like your body knows when it’s saying ‘Hey, that’s working a lot more.’ So, (laughs) so physically, I’ve definitely, uh, had some love wounds from the - from, from my partner in crime - the, the left arm.”
“Now we know Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a favourite amongst the cast of the MCU - the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I know that ‘cos they’ve actually told me so. And you’ve had some really special, emotional scenes over the years, like the ‘with you till the end of the line’ scene with Steve for example, and one of my favourites - ‘Who the hell is Bucky?’ And I love that your character is actually introduced in the very first film, your first scene, by knocking out a bad guy and then turning around and kicking him in the backside - I just love that. What are your standout moments over the movies?”
Sebastian: “As an actor you always want - you always want to do a movie that’s a period movie and a period movie in the 40′s was always really fun; the idea of it. I loved those, those scenes that he had with Steve Rogers in the first movie ‘cos they were so innocent but also in a way like really established their dynamic. And then of course The Winter Soldier movie was really incredible for me because I got to do so many cool things, and again it was not on a, on a green screen. We were really on a bridge - I was given a 35 pound thing to fire with. It was all very practical to be doing that kind of action.”
“The knife-stuff alone - ”
Sebastian: “The knife stuff. We had a good two months to get down to the hand-to-hand combat, so again, stuff I’d never done, so the character was really cool to me, and I loved all those, all those pieces. So there have been moments all throughout that kind of all add up i, in terms of really having enjoyed playing the character, From an acting perspective, you know, to play, uh, a character that seemingly could always go dark is interesting and fun, and it was a complex character like that. But then I think going forward it was more a good question of ‘What are we gonna really explore with him now?’”
“Hmmm.”
Sebastian: “And finding a way to - to marrying both sides of this character and, and kind of having and witnessing how, how he’s able to accept the past and, and claim his sort of dark Winter Soldier past and side, and, and then evolve forward. Because he’s never gonna be the man he was back in the 40′s and he’s certainly not gonna be the guy that was this assassin. So what is he gonna be now, you know, and how is he gonna figure out a way to  - to grow from that?”
“For sure. I love the bits with the therapist in the first episode. It makes me think - you know the bit in Infinity War where you pick up Rocket and use him as like a moving machine gun?”
Sebastian: (with a laugh) “Yeah.”
“Are you bringing that up with the therapist? Surely there’s gotta be a moment where you go: ‘There were these alien dogs attacking me - and just -’ ”
Sebastian: “Well yeah, right? That, that would be a good thing to talk about. Because, I remember in, in that particular moment, which was a very cool moment, and it was fun, but we were sitting there with the Russo’s in Infinity War trying to figure out what his humor was and like, how does that character now respond to a talking raccoon, you know?”
“I’ll leave you with these two wrap-up questions. What do fans typically say to you in the street when the spot you? Do you get lines quoted back at you: ‘End of the line?’ Do you get people quoting: ‘Longing, rusted, seventeen, daybreak, furnace, nine, benign, homecoming, one, freight car?’”
Sebastian: (with a sigh) It happens quite often. (interviewer laughs) It happens at, uh you know, coffee shops and uh, it - it happens a lot, you know, and, and it’s always very, uh, it’s always very funny. And it’s a good, hon - honorable thing, you know, I guess. You know you’re, you’re very taken with it all - all the time but - it, you do have to sometimes look at people in the face and say ‘No, I will - I will not become The Winter Soldier’ as you say that, you know? (interviewer laughs quietly) You can keep saying it, and maybe you should say it, um, maybe that’s a moment we both need to have together, now, here. But, uh, but nothing crazy will happen, uh, you know?’”
“Er, I’d like to apologise and say goodbye, which is it was with me where we decided your fans were gonna be called The Winter’s Children, back in the day.”
Sebastian: “It was, wasn’t it? Well that really stuck didn’t it?”
“Yep. I can only apologise. And - ”
Sebastian: No, it’s all good. I’m glad - I’m glad that stuck around.”
“And obviously as the White Wolf, I should say ‘Wakanda Forever’, so thank you so much Sir.”
Sebastian: “Hey, thank you man.”

Ranking : Spike Lee (1957 - present)
Tumblr media
There have been countless directors whose careers have spanned my lifetime, but out of these countless masses, the one whom I can find the most in common ground with (as well as endless inspiration from) is Spike Lee.  A New Yorker through and through, Lee went from a series of films that seamlessly blended hip-hop and old school Hollywood aesthetics, to personal films, to his take on the blockbuster, and currently, to the point where his canon has earned him artistic freedom and expression that many of his peers have not been able to achieve.  He is the perfect bridge between the director-driven mindset of the 1970s and the cultural boundary-pushing films of the 1990s-forward.  Not everything that he directed was a hit or a masterpiece, but this man has more iconic films under his belt that some directors have films to their name.  That being said, it’s time to stir the pot and make an attempt at the monumental task that is ranking the films of Spike Lee.
I will only be including theatrically released feature films of Spike Lee that I have seen.  His documentary work will be excluded, as well as his films I have missed or have yet to see.  Here is a list of these films : Da 5 Bloods, Chi-Raq, Da Sweet Blood of Jesus, Joe’s Bed-Stuy Barbershop: We Cut Heads, 4 Little Girls, The Original Kings of Comedy, When the Levees Broke, A Huey P. Newton Story.
Tumblr media
20. Oldboy (2013) Every film that you make can’t be a winner.  In the case of Lee’s attempt at remaking Oldboy, there were already two major strikes against it : a superior version of the film already existed, and that version was the middle film of a trilogy.  I doubt that even a team of the most talented directors could have made a superior version of Oldboy that surpassed the original, but after 30 years of making films, it’s admirable that Lee would even attempt something so bold and seemingly insurmountable.
Tumblr media
19. Red Hook Summer (2012) When your film catalog covers three decades, there’s bound to be some overlap, be it stylistically or narratively.  I’ve only seen Red Hook Summer once, but it was impossible for me to look at it subjectively, as it seemed to be a modern day mirror to another one of Lee’s explorations of New York adolescence.  While this story is not a direct copy of a Spike Lee film that I will go into more detail on later, it does feel like the update equivalent that focuses on himself rather than the childhood of his sister.  While an entertaining film from what I can remember, it sits behind a list of previous impressive achievements.
Tumblr media
18. She Hate Me (2004) Humor has been an element present in a number of Spike Lee films, but for my money’s worth, this film is the closest thing to an outright comedy that he ever made.  Like a number of films on the back half of his career, he is touching upon important topics (sexuality and toxic masculinity, in this case), but these are topics that he has hit with more nuance and creativity in earlier films.  This film did help transition Anthony Mackie into a leading man role, and he certainly took that opportunity and ran with it, so She Hate Me could be heralded for that alone.  That being said, it was a great idea that slightly missed the mark, therefore placing it on the backend of the memorable films list for Lee.
Tumblr media
17. Miracle at St. Anna (2008) This film had the potential to be a breakout resurgence for Spike Lee.  He was coming hot off the heels of Inside Man, a perfect blend of Lee’s style and modern Hollywood fare, so having a period-piece war film seemed like a slam dunk.  His cast was strong, while also being filled of relatively unknown young actors on the verge of becoming stars in their own right, but for whatever reason, this film failed to make a connection with the masses.  While I do remember mostly enjoying my watch, I also remember feeling a bit underwhelmed by the ending, which in turn left me lacking a reason to revisit it.  Maybe it’s a hidden gem that I haven’t seen enough times yet, but at this moment in time, its home is near the bottom of Lee’s impressive list of films.
Tumblr media
16. Get on the Bus (1996) Many people’s eyes were opened to racial injustices during the COVID-19 pandemic, as several African-American men and women found themselves on the wrong end of violent acts from the police and other citizens in the midst of a ‘shelter-in-place’ era.  Not only have these injustices been going on for my entire lifetime, but they’ve been a generational trauma for many African-Americans in the United States.  When the Million Man March was announced in 1996, it was not surprising that Spike Lee took it as an opportunity to both document the march and build a narrative around it in which he could showcase a collection of actors he’d either featured in past films or would work with in future films.  To my knowledge, this is one of maybe two or three films about the event, and it was certainly the film released in the closest proximity to it.  For an independent, quick shoot, it definitely stands up, but in comparison to Lee’s other works that benefited from full crews and production schedules, it finds itself paling in comparison.
Tumblr media
15.  BlacKkKlansman (2018) Despite the fact that this is the film that finally got Lee some sort of recognition at the Oscars, BlacKkKlansman was not quite the true return to form that many fans of Spike Lee expected.  The film had moments of humor, compelling moments that directly focused on racial injustice and systematic oppression, and it pulled no punches while doing so.  Like a handful of Lee’s other films, however, this one falls when compared to his other films that deal with similar subject matter.  Adam Driver continued to show fans his expansive range, and  Jasper Paakonen deserved INFINITELY more recognition than he got, but ultimately, this film checks all the ‘good’ boxes where it was expected to check the ‘great’ ones.
Tumblr media
14. 25th Hour (2002) As the year 2000 approached, Lee seemed to attempt and make a shift from films that specifically spoke on aspects of the African-American experience in favor of occasional films that reached a wider audience.  While Summer of Sam would be considered the first foray into that realm, the true mark of this elevated sense of creative duty came in the form of 25th Hour.  With the actors in tow, in tandem with the cinematography and skilled directing ability displayed in the film, one would expect a powerhouse movie, but ultimately, the expectations exceeded the narrative of this film.  This one is entertaining, don’t get me wrong, but I personally did not find a connection with the story, meaning that the film was, at best, fun to watch.
Tumblr media
13. Summer of Sam (1999)  I’ve been a true-crime junkie since my early teenage years, and even the most casual of true-crime fans is more than likely familiar with David Berkowitz, also known to many as the Son of Sam.  While Red Hook Summer did come out after Summer of Sam, it’d be hard to deny the fact that Summer of Sam is the last of Lee’s love letters to New York City.  This was the film where Spike Lee stepped out of his comfort zone of the African-American experience, choosing instead to focus on more colloquial aspects of the American experience, and for my money’s worth, it was the start of an important shift for him.  Despite being light on the Son of Sam action, the actors this film does focus on (and the story it chooses to tell) is a fresh look at a familiar era, and a crowning achievement that signaled new things for Spike Lee.
Tumblr media
12.  He Got Game (1998) If you made a Venn diagram of people familiar with Spike Lee, the two biggest circles would be film fans and people who have seen at least one New York Knicks game since the 1990s.  Therefore, the only thing that was really and truly surprising about He Got Game was the fact that it took Spike Lee 15 years and 11 films to make a film about basketball.  On the outset, that’s exactly what it is : a film about basketball.  Viewed with a wider lens, however, this story is a love letter to one of the most popular American inventions, and a story about how it can serve as a common-ground bridge for those from wholly different walks of life.  The juxtaposition of Aaron Copland and Public Enemy made the soundtrack provocative, and Ray Allen stood out in his lead role, holding his own against the living legend that is Denzel Washington, who is always good for a stellar performance in a Spike Lee joint.  Don’t mistake this film’s place on the list for my feelings about it... this is a stellar film, in my opinion, and one of my favorites to revisit.
Tumblr media
11. Crooklyn (1994) After making what many would argue to be the most important film of his career (which we will eventually get to), it’s no surprise that Spike Lee circled his creative wagons and made the focus of his next film inward.  Crooklyn covers what seem like many personal bases for Spike Lee : he portrays the New York of the past vividly and beautifully, while spinning a true-to-life tale based on his personal experience, but opting to focus on his sister Joie Lee and his father Bill Lee.  Of Lee’s many, many films, this was the one that I felt the most compelled to see at the time of release, it is one of the two I have the most vivid memories and recollections of, and it has a number of stylistic choices that keep me wonderfully perplexed to this day.  Despite not cracking the top ten Spike Lee films, this one ranks high on the list of Spike Lee films that hit the bullseye of my heart.
Tumblr media
10. Jungle Fever (1991) Interracial romance is one of those things that seemingly will always be a sensitive subject.  I’ve heard many people say that Jungle Fever has a dated look on the subject, but I’d argue that the film was very forward thinking, especially in showing that an interracial romance is not the answer to the cultural and societal problems that life presents us.  The movie also touches deeply on drug addiction without crossing over into the realm of being preachy or talking down to the viewer.  It didn’t hurt that Stevie Wonder also managed to create a soundtrack’s worth of new material that instantly brought the seemingly controversial film directly into the public eye.  Maybe it is dated... maybe it is uncomfortable... but what it is, undoubtedly, is an early masterpiece that fell near the end of one of the most stellar introductory runs that any filmmaker has presented us.
Tumblr media
9. Clockers (1995) Ever wonder what would happen if a Martin Scorsese film found its way into the hands of Spike Lee?  Well, wonder no longer, because Clockers is out there waiting for you to discover it.  The amount that this movie gets slept on is an outright tragedy and travesty.  The soundtrack is KILLER, the color-timing puts the viewer in an immediate ‘cold-world’ environment, the order of operations presented in this film is brutal and unforgiving, and yet, it manages to be one of the most heartfelt films in the Spike Lee canon.  EVERYONE presented in this movie brought their A-game to the table, from the Spike Lee regulars like Isaiah Washington, John Turturro and Harvey Keitel, to the glorified cameos and supporting roles, like Thomas Jefferson Byrd, Sticky Fingaz and Fredro of Onyx, and relative newcomer but promising leading man Makhi Phifer.  This film is intense, but it is more than worth your time and attention.
Tumblr media
8. Bamboozled (2000) Bamboozled was shocking when it was released, to say the least.  The true revelation, however, has been the way that relevance has seemingly caught up to the film... fake wokeness, modern day minstrel shows, low budget/high yield television and behind the scenes scandals have all come to light many years after this film had its initial run.  While this film did not transition Savion Glover into the world of superstardom and crossover success, it certainly crystalized his immense talent and charisma in a way that his recordings of stage shows had previously been unable to capture.  The imagery of America’s strange fascination with the dehumanization of African-Americans for generation after generation is rich, and every performance is compelling.  This was definitely Spike Lee’s first masterpiece of the new millennium, and at the risk of being bittersweet, probably one of his last truly stunning achievements.
Tumblr media
7. Girl 6 (1996) Every ranking list has to have the controversial placement, so here’s mine... Girl 6 started as a lingering interest for me.  The internet was just about to change the world, but we were still locked into landlines at the time, with cellular being a luxury, so the world of phone sex still had relevance.  Upon seeing the film, however, I quickly realized that the phone sex exploration was playing counter to a Hollywood hopeful narrative that was brave enough to explore new ground (per the changing times) while being mindful enough to pay homage to the countless stories of Hollywood hopefuls that came before it.  Many of the shifting cinematography looks that made Clockers so gritty were used to make Girl 6 feel dangerously euphoric.  The list of cameos and brief supporting roles were not only a who’s who of cultural movers and shakers at the time, but it ran about as long as my arm.  I recently revisited the film and expected it to be a bit more on the side of kitsch, but surprisingly, the times had not been as hard on the film as I anticipated.  The film shifts quite well between light and dark, and even the ending that initially slightly annoyed me has found a strange sort of charm in my older, more life-experienced years.  Add to this the hilarious running joke of Isaiah Washington being a kleptomaniac in nearly every scene he appears in, and there’s a realization that there are sublayers going on right in front of our eyes.  This collaboration with Suzan-Lori Parks gives me hope that maybe one day, we’ll get a Spike Lee film adaptation of Topdog/Underdog, but we will see.
Tumblr media
6. Inside Man (2006) If you had to pick the most ‘Hollywood’ of the Spike Lee films, my money would be on this film ending up as the chosen one.  By this rationale, it makes the film that much more impressive, as it also stands out as one of the most compelling, well-directed and well-acted Spike Lee films.  At the time of its release, it was not only a return to form, but it seemed to signal an evolution.  Spike Lee was able to use his signature, iconic shots that he was known for, like his camera-turned-to-dolly float, or the push-pull zooms, but he was also able to incorporate familiar Hollywood tropes, including the twist ending, and give them a breath of fresh air via an newly infused sense of style.  Lee also stayed true to himself by educating as well as entertaining, bringing to light how atrocities from the past have more than historical connections to modern day benefactors.  While I do think there are a handful of better ‘pure’ Spike Lee films, if I had to pick one movie for a curious party that my be skeptical, this would easily be my pick.
Tumblr media
5. She's Gotta Have It (1986) Oh, the joy of having your first film be a breakout success, but not to the point of pigeon-holing your career.  She’s Gotta Have It was an important introductory step to the masses for Spike Lee : it showed his dedication to putting African-American performers into familiar narratives, it showed an appreciation for the voice of women on film that many first-time directors would likely not want to be the initial association to their style, it introduced the world to Mars Blackmon (who became a cultural icon), and it presented sense of style that switched on the viewer the moment before they could label it pretentious.  Having characters address the camera made it feel like a play or a novel, but when the film shifted into movie mode, the camera moved with the energy and grace of a performance artist or dancer, which in turn fed into the character development and narrative it presented.  As a bonus, the property found new life nearly 40 years later as a Netflix original series, introducing new generations to a modern day classic statement of feminism, and how it does not excuse bad behavior.
Tumblr media
4. Mo' Better Blues (1990) Those familiar with Spike Lee’s family know that he was raised by jazz bassist Bill Lee, who scored some of Spike’s early films.  By this rationale, it comes as no surprise that Lee could make such a rich, nuanced and heartfelt film about jazz music that serves as an allegory for the hurdles that beset those driven purely by passion.  The conversations about race, musical integrity and commercialism also work on both direct and symbolic levels, giving Mo’ Better Blues some of the highest repeat viewing value of any film in the Spike Lee canon.  The film also marked the first collaboration of Spike Lee and Denzel Washington, a combination that yielded artistic, career, creative, commercial and critical success, led to a multitude of classic performances, and ultimately led to a generational collaborative changing of the guard in the form of John David Washington.  The only negative I can give this film is that it did not lead to future films that explored genres of music like hip-hop and soul.  While She’s Gotta Have It did focus heavily on relationships and intimacy, it could be argued that Mo’ Better Blues was Spike Lee’s first adult contemporary film, and his first look at modern romance in the more ‘traditional’ sense.
Tumblr media
3. School Daze (1988) The African-American college experience, specifically that of HBCUs (Historically Black College and Universitys), is one that has often been neglected in the annals of film history.  As a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, it makes total sense that Spike Lee’s second commercial film would focus on that specifically overlooked culture, as it became a fitting vehicle for establishing Lee’s sense of duty and responsibility for education, sharing the African-American experience to the masses, and exposing systematic injustices and hypocrisies that kep the disadvantaged in a disadvantaged position.  The real genius of this film, however, comes in the juxtaposition of presentations it jumps between... for the majority of the film, it is an unflinching look at the coming of age process that teenagers must traverse on their way to adulthood, including the hurdles of romance, forming your identity and expanding your view of the world around you.  At key moments, however, the film switches into musical numbers, song performances and school dances that not only expand on the inner feelings, emotions and desires of characters, but heighten the reality of the story to a dizzying pace.  In all the ways that She’s Gotta Have It put the world on notice that a unique voice was present in the industry, School Daze signaled the continuation of a run that would last another handful of films, and it firmly established Spike Lee as a generational talent.
Tumblr media
2. Do the Right Thing (1989) I would guess that over the course of a career, a director secretly hopes that at least one of their works comes close to making an impact culturally.  In the case of Spike Lee, however, we have a man who released two cultural-shifting films, and did so in a span of less than 5 years.  They say the third time is a charm, and that’s exactly what Do the Right Thing was for Spike Lee.  The vivid colors, stylistic earmarks, historical and cultural sense of urgency and focus on telling minority stories all expanded greatly with this film, which acted as both a parable of how past injustices can come back to haunt you, and a harbinger of how the reactions to these continued injustices would only amplify if not addressed.  The fact that Spike Lee not only directed this film, but played the lead actor as well, is a monumental achievement, especially considering how few flaws the film has, if any.  Several established actors played some of their most iconic roles in this film, and a breadth of newer, younger faces exploded onto the scene, almost all of whom either continued to work with Lee or found themselves evolving their careers in the wake of Do the Right Thing.  The film is also directly responsible for perhaps the most iconic hip-hop song of all time, Public Enemy’s classic protest anthem Fight The Power.  Any fan of film would be foolish to skip the Spike Lee catalog, but regardless of whether you’re interested in his work or not, this film is one of two he made that should flatly be considered required viewing across the board.  The other one, being...
Tumblr media
1. Malcolm X (1992) For everything that Do the Right Thing did for Spike Lee and those involved in the production, the monumentally powerful biopic Malcolm X did all of that while also managing to humanize, canonize and create and icon out of a man that America tried its best to demonize.  The masterful hand that Lee used to direct this film shows, as this film is the most ‘every frame a painting’ in his canon.  Everything from the period costuming to the locations to the dance numbers to the cinematography absolutely leaps off of the screen.  The editing is kinetic, the performances are full of life and depth, and the narrative does just enough going forwards and backwards to make proper connections without beating it over the head of the viewer.  The respect shown to Malcolm X is massive, so much so that almost seemingly overnight, Malcolm X went from being a feared and often heavily criticized sign of aggressive blackness to a commercial commodity and household name, with the famous X suddenly adorning t-shirts, baseball caps and necklaces of all American youth, not just minorities.  The impact of this film was so immediate that many schools held field trips for viewings, which further cemented the immediate and historical value of the film.  Often, the connotation of saying someone ‘peaked’ for a film so early in their career would be negative, but the heights to which Malcolm X achieved on all fronts meant that even if the rest of Lee’s career was a steady decline (which it certainly wasn’t), he more than likely still would have ended up in a pantheon far above that of the average director.
With projects reportedly in the early stages of development, it doesn’t look like Spike Lee has any plans on stopping anytime soon.  I certainly owe it to myself to see the handful of his films and documentaries that I’ve not seen yet... who knows, perhaps I may even go back one day and add the documentaries into the list, or find a surprise gem in one of his more recent movies I’ve yet to see.

A LunaTic and Her Gunn (Part 112) "Sliding Safely Back Home"
@crystalbaby12 @backoftheroomandnotbelonging @5sosfam1dlover @rosefilledhearts-blog
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Colson had immediately called Ashleigh; who called his Cleveland housekeeper, Lucy. On a Sunday, during Fourth of July Weekend; asking her to please come clean up the mess that he had made. The conversation between Colson and Ashleigh involved a strong talking to and the promise of him watching her LIVE tutorial regarding the difference between dish soap and DISHWASHER DETERGENT. Along with an even stronger suggestion of leaving Lucy a HUGE tip for her inconvenience and troubles. Colson had agreed easily. He didn't care how much it cost as long as he didn't have to deal with the ocean of bubbles he was responsible for.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Sticky, soaked and gross, Colson was still irritated with Luna when he joined her in the shower. Pulling hard on her hair, he roughly fucked her from behind. Not saying a word amongst his grunts and moans. Alleviating some of his frustrations along the way as he made her wince multiple times from the hard slaps he'd landed directly onto her plump ass. Luna took her punishment like a Good Girl, bouncing off of his thick cock studiously. Making them both willingly explode for the other amongst the steam.
After rinsing himself off, Colson had pushed Luna against the wall. With his oversized, heavy palm against her collarbone, he kissed her hard. Biting her lip after.
"This isn't fucking over." He promised her before stepping out of the shower.
"UGH... I hate him so FUCKING much..." Luna had thought to herself as her body flushed in desire from Colson's threat.
***********************************************
"I know she didn't do shit but still...." Colson's mind continued to throb. His stomach twisting at the thought of Luna's lips touching anyone else's but his, making the jealousy roll thickly throughout his body while he dried himself off. Adamantly trying to remind himself instead of the many times Luna had shown her devotion to him.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Colson's attitude softened a bit more as they fell into their usual routine of getting stoned and doing other drugs together while getting dressed. They talked about what Colson expected from the game amongst other small things.
With light makeup on, Luna braided her long hair into pigtails. It was when she tossed on her cherished Rizzuto jersey over a knotted white T and black leggings along with her Yankees hat, that she caught a hard SideEye from Colson.
"I seriously hope he doesn't expect me to rep The Indians... Like, EVER... Because that's a hard NO." Luna thought to herself kinda baffled by his reaction.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"Yo! You guys wanna kick it with Sid today?" Pete had asked once they had made their way downstairs.
"What? No. We're bringing Case." Luna scowled at both of them, killing their vibe.
"Fine, how 'bout a little micro dosing then?" Pete offered up a comprise as he pulled out a bag of mushrooms.
Before Luna could protest again, Colson's hand was down the bag and the mushrooms were inside of his mouth. Chewing with a smug look on his face while watching Luna's reaction.
"Fine." She had rolled her eyes as she grabbed her own small handful.
"Let the games begin." Colson declared as he rubbed his hands together with a diabolical smile while Luna chewed.
"You guys are the worst." She went on to sigh as she shook her head, both grinning as they agreed with her.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Not being able to find her leather on their way out, Luna had grabbed Colson's oversized jean jacket off of the couch. With Casie in her beloved, clean, yellow T-shirt, they were out the door with Mod, Rook, Benny and a strongly protesting Pete to the idea of leaving Kevin behind.
"He'll be lonely and think I abandoned him!" Pete had shouted with wild eyes, he'd started micro dosing way before offering any to Luna and Colson.
"I talked to Kev, Petey... He's knows... He's cool. I set him up with a movie and everything." Luna had calmly reassured him.
Only being able to get Pete inside the SUV after convincing him it was for Kevin's own safety. That there just weren't enough seatbelts in Colson's Navigator to get all of them to Progressive Field safely. He continued to complain with worry for a majority of the ride until Casie told him to Calm It Down.
Phem, Noah and Caroline had caught an Uber to Hopkins for a flight to LA a bit earlier. Slim heading back to his own Cleveland house in the meantime. The plan being to meet back at Colson's for Family Dinner around 730/8ish to map out the upcoming week or so.
Leaving Kevin to chill at the house alone, watching Back To The Future with a blanket and a bowl of Doritos. Luna doesn't lie.
---------------------------------------------------
At Progressive Field, it's Team World V. Team Cleveland. Colson gets changed as Luna roams around the stadium with Casie, Pete, Rook, Mod and Benny. Grabbing enough hot dogs, pizza, sodas, french fries and beers to satisfy Chris Farley, minus the speedball, they head onto the field.
Mixing in with the other celebrities, Luna introduces herself to Dascha Polanco. Making an immediate friend as she genuinely gushes and congratulates her with a huge hug over her success through Orange Is The New Black and How she's Dying for the Last Season BUT NO SPOILERS, PLEASE.
Also being a NYC native, Luna finds herself having a LOT of things in common the actress. Starting off with the Bitching of The Bagel that includes huge, knowing laughs. They flow through to different HangOuts, common friends and experiences until the conversational river finally opens up to Luna's humble embarrassment when Dascha realizes who she actually is. Knowing her first and foremost by her photography and obscure reputation, it just so happens that Dascha is also a genuine fan of Dysfunctional Baggage.
Luna's new friend being wise enough to not to make a big deal out of her FanGirling Soul and to skip the verbal condolences with a simple look of acknowledgment. Breaking the verbal damn by asking Luna What Her Favorite Book Is to the artist's relief.
It's The Little Disturbances of Man. Luna's kept a hardback copy of it on her ever since she first read it when she was 10yrs old. Finding that it helps her humanize the masses when The World seems too mean for it's own good.

Colson is busy introducing Casie to Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon in the MCU. They're all huge fans and Colson's can't help his slightly spiteful mind snark to itself how Luna's missing out. He's still mad. At her. At Jackson. At the idea of anyone other than him being near His Girl.
"She's gonna be saaaallttyy... I don't even fucking care. Fuck her..." Colson's mind abruptly shifts scenarios. "It may be more Jackson's fault... But that fucking bitch needs to realize what the fuck she's capable of on her own... Like, for real. Kissen' MOTHERFUCKERS and SHIT..." Colson feels his jealousy bubbles begin to simmer. Looking over Casie's head he catches Luna's eye not too far down the field. Their souls connecting instantly. Colson can feel her smile seep deep inside of him as she spreads her fingers wide to greet him like she always does. "FUUUUUUUCK Me." He pouts to himself as he feels his dick stiffen at the sight of her. Taking a gulp of air, he looks down at Casie. "Chill Kells... Focus. Kick this fucker out, then we'll deal with Luna." He pep talks himself before turning all of his attention back to Anthony, his daughter and the game ahead of him.
"Are you and AntMan friends yet? I don't believe that Captain just reeee-tired." Casie challenges as she rolls her eyes. "Annnnnnnnd, just so you know. Human is better and Carol Danvers is THE BEST." Casie cocks out her hip as she thrusts her hand onto it. "But I like that you can fly." She offers out with a slightly forgiving tone.
Colson and Anthony burst out laughing over the girl's questions and opinions. Anthony can't help but slap Colson's on the back. Reassuring him that he's got a Wild One as his roarous laughter continues before he squats down to speak with the girl.
"Yeah... I'm friends with AntMan... But he's tiny and annoying... And... Yeup, unfortunately, Cap's retired. He needed a break. He is like 500YRS OLD, you know!" Anthony chuckles as he throws his hands out to Casie's giggle. He continues on slightly serious as he looks her in the eyes. "Human is definitely better though and I don't care what the other Avengers's say..." Anthony leans closer to Casie. "You're right. Captain Marvel is THE BOSS... Her WHOLE body is an energy source!" Falcon goes on to laugh with Casie at his CoStar's undeniable powers. "And, Thank You." His tone lightens as he smiles at her softly. "I like that I can fly too." Anthony nods his head in solidification at Casie as his smile turns into grin, knowing it's more important to boost kindness, strength and acceptance inside a child over anything else.
After finishing up her chat with Falcon, Colson leads Casie over to his reserved seats. The mushrooms are just kicking in as he finds Luna and The Boys. Settling Casie, he kisses Luna with a forgiving look. With Casie muching, Rook and Benny drinking away and Luna beginning to feel the giddiness of the fungai with Pete, they all wish Colson a Good Game before he disappears again to find his team.

Travis Hafners's daughter opens the game with The National Anthem at 5P. For as young as she is, she's perfectly on pitch and astonishingly commanding of the entire stadium. If she wasn't so young, Luna might've immediately thought to sign her.
Being leery of the Music Business herself, she finds herself going back and forth about it by the bottom of the First as her third eye opens. Not being able to decide on whether to leave the girl alone or to step in. "I know I'm not the only one to hear her power... Fuck, the game's being the televised... I COULD be a protective barrier between an impressionable girl and some much unnecessary Nastiness though...." Luna holds onto her thoughts. Choosing to consult Colson and The Ash's... And possibly Sammy before deciding on any type of action. Trying to focus on Colson and the game instead for the rest of the evening, the strong voice continues to sing in the back of her colorful mind as ideas manifest along with it.
The lineup is stocked with Cleveland's greatest, finest and most map worthy. The World's Team rounding out with a wide array of goodies itself. The game is filled with Ewwws & Awwws, whooping, clapping, screaming and even the occasional Boo. Cleveland is an unforgiving City, almost rivaling Philadelphia.
The Miz from WWE opens up the game by coming out looking like Wild Thing as The World's Team takes the plate. Driving the crowd insane by rocking thick, black glasses on the mound while he imitates Charlie Sheen’s stance from the iconic film. On The World's Team, Daddy Yankee hit a triple slightly past Colson in the first inning. He could've caught it but was too distracted by the signs in clouds. Thankfully no one caught THAT as the batter ALMOST ran out of his pants as he flew past first base. Making Casie point and laugh loudly with her adult company. Falcon from The Avengers hit a pop fly to The Miz, causing him to crash backwards into their second baseman Stephanie Beatriz as he made the catch. Successfully ending the first inning.
Rook and Mod miss The Funny while conversing with Casie and the Hot Girl Summer happening behind them. Being RockStars truly has it's perks... ALL of the time. Luna on the other hand is an avid sports fan, having caught Benny's eye and a couple of Pete's elbows to her giggly ribcage during the first inning. Cracking up together over the on field collision they had all witnessed. There's something about people from NY... They love their fucking baseball.
During the third inning, Jim Thome's son joins the game acting as a pinch hitter. Batting left-handed, the young boy points his bat at the pitcher, just like his legendary father used to. With that and a solid smack, he snatches a two-run single through center field that pulls Cleveland's Team within four runs at a score of 16-12. JR Smith enthusiastically welcoming the boy as he runs Home.
The announcer mentions The Hometown Anti Heroe's love of Ramen as Colson steps up to the plate with multicolored vision. Following the young Thome with a drive to right field that eludes Ryan Howard, The Great HomeRun Hitter of the 2008 World FUCKING Champions. Colson races around past third with his tongue wagging in determination as he finds himself sliding safely back Home for an InField HomeRun.
"MOTHAFUCKEN' RIGHT YOU DID IT!! YOU ARE A GOLDEN FUCKING GOD." His tripping soul excitedly screams at him as he hits a light peak.
Colson's HomeRun leaves The World's Team within a three run grasp. Smith hoisting Colson high in the air as Team Cleveland celebrates his epic run. Casie and Luna hooting and hollering as they ecstatically cheer him on along with with Pete, Mod, Rook and Benny.
Finally, in comes The Legend of Cleveland himself, Travis Hafner. The retired Indians slugger crushes a ball to the left, over the wall and nearly hits Mustard the Hot Dog mascot standing near The Corner. Who took the surprise gracefully. Had it been the Philly Phanatic and Victorino, there probably would've been a fight on Broad Street.
Cleveland’s comeback being only a run behind now as another one of The Indian's legends steps up to bat. Carlos Baerga nailing a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. Bringing the score to 16-15 heading into the fifth.
The World's Team scores five fucking times in the top of the fifth. Luna losing her shit along the way as Mod, Rook and Casie look at her like she's crazy but Pete and Benny laugh in appreciation of her passion and knowledge. It's the shocking two-run homer by Falcon as his drive to the left slips under the glove of The Great Hafner that truly fucks her up. Screaming WHAT THE FUUUUUCK as she jumps up and Pete laughs while pulling her back down. Rooting for the other team, Luna's soul is torn as Yankees legend, Bernie Williams steps up to bat. With a solo blast to left, Luna silently exchanges a cheering look with Pete for their hometown team as he slams another HomeRun. Pushing the score to 21-15. The World's Team leading hard with six runs at the bottom of the inning.
Cleveland comes to bat one last time. Allie LaForce starting them off with a single and scoring Cleveland another run on a ground ball by Beatriz. It's JR's pop up that gives them their last out. Swiftly stealing Team Cleveland's hopes for comeback. Ending the five inning game at 21-16.

Hanging out for a bit after, even with the loss Colson's giddy from the mushrooms and happy with his performance. He's in the middle of busting it up with Jamie Fox while Luna talks with Stephanie close by. Casie leaves Rook and Benny to find her dad. Standing next to him, she dangles on his arm while patiently waiting for him to finish his conversation.
"Anyone ever told you how smooth your daddy is?" A middle aged woman asks as she slinks up to the young girl.
Colson forgets about his conversation as he turns around and laughs loudly at her absurdity while Casie physically recoils. Offended by the stranger's words and grasping onto her father's arm, she recovers quickly.
"Yeah. His GIRLFRIEND." Casie fires back with a monotoned voice before perking up. "Hi, Looney!" She exclaims as her face shifts from a scowl to a relieved, bright smile before falling into a smug look that she smoothly shoots at the stranger from the comfort of Luna's presence.
"Hiii, Dilla." Luna coos with her own gleam, having observed the whole scene. "How are you?" She asks the woman as her grin sweetly widens while she acknowledges and glides past her with eye contact and a nod. "You guys ready? We should find The Boys, we gotta get home for dinner." She advises as she ignores the woman and collects her family.
Luna takes Casie by the hand as Colson slips his arm around Luna. Tucking her wounded shoulder safely inside of him as always. Walking away, Casie turns over her left shoulder in between her and Luna. Glaring at the woman, she throws up her middle finger behind her back with her free right hand. Smirking at the woman's shocked reaction before turning back around triumphantly.
On their way home from the baseball field Colson posts the playful picture Rook had taken of him, Casie and Luna on the way to the car out of the park. A smile curling up on his lips as he places the caption. Proving they're always better together.

"FUUUUUUUCK, I MISSED YOU!!" Luna exclaims with overwhelmingly vibrant enthusiasm as soon as she walks into the kitchen and sees Sam. Grabbing her into a deep, soul hug, she plunks a huge kiss on her cheek. Squeezing her hand, she drags her around the island to a cooking Ashleigh. "I missed you tooooo, Buddy!" Luna squishes her with a hug from behind as she smooches her cheek also. Noticing two women she doesn't know at the island, she immediately greets them warmly. "Hi! I'm Luna." She smiles at the women as she extends her hand to AJ's wife, Naomi and Dub's girlfriend, Natasha. "It's a pleasure." She beams at them.
"Shit. Shit. Shit. I hope she doesn't know I hit Her Dude." Luna immediately thinks of her mishap with Dub.
"More wine?" She asks as she tests the waters while still dragging Sam along with her to finally sit at the island as she fills the ladies wine glasses. "So tell me.... What's the story mornin' glories?" Luna laughs as she pours herself a glass of wine, figuring that if it's gonna be something... It's gonna be something.
Gathered in the kitchen, the four women talk about all kinds of different things as they get to know each other. Jumping from their individual careers and hobbies to fashion and politics and everything in between. Including the dumb shit their guys do. Sam smiling slyly while Ashleigh shrugs with a Fucking Men as she continues battering chicken. Potatoes are boiling to be mashed and green beans are sautéing. Colson comes into the kitchen to pick at dinner while Ashleigh swats at him. There's a bunch of them over and she's been air frying for over an hour now. Her chicken is NOT to be fucked with.
"What I tell ya, fucking men." Ashleigh mimicks a young Madonna as she clucks her tongue and rolls her eyes.
"Fugkin' MEN, WHAT?" He asks with his hands, imitating a horrible Brooklyn accent before he kisses Ashleigh's cheek.
Laughing at the two of them while shaking her head and standing, Luna watches Casie along with Ashton, Dub's daughter and AJ's two girls. Gazing out at them, she notices how they're very much
like their parents. Rolling and falling all over each other as they rough house around the huge yard. Still in the kitchen and spotting her Polaroid camera in her bag on the counter; Colson snaps a quick picture of Luna without her noticing. Setting the camera back where he found it, he plops a wet kiss in the side of her head to her tilted smile. Walking back into the living room, he shakes the instant photo in his hand. Watching as it slowly creeps into focus, his heart beats faster as it forms.

"FUCK, she's gorgeous." He can't help but smile to himself as he pulls on his wallet chain to tuck it into it's new home safely.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"DIIINNNNERRR!!!" Ashleigh yells.
Those who aren't already in the kitchen come roaring inside. With almost twenty of them that are functional, they each help carry parts of their meal into the dining room with the expanded table. You'd think they'd be a hot mess but some how they function surprisingly well together. Each naturally gravitating to a job.
Luna counts plates. Sam grabs the green beans, Casie and AJ's daughters collect silverware as Colson places down the napkins. Slim pulls another bottle of white as Mod helps him with beers and lemonade out of the fridge. AJ collecting cups for the kids out of the cabinet. D gets Ashton milk as Rook happily snatches up the bowl of mashed potatoes, salt and pepper. Sneakily dipping his finger into it and taking a bite to Ashleigh's immediate ROOK. Pete strictly limits himself to butter duty, he's too high to handle anything else. Dub and Benny help with the salad, bowls and dressings as Natasha settles their daughter and Ashton at the table. Ashleigh handles the chicken with Naomi, making The Kid's plates first. Kevin's sat down for dinner before anyone, making Baze hop up to grab the Louisiana hot sauce from the fridge upon his judgmental request to everyone's equal shame and laughter.
Dinner is loud as always. Everyone talking over each other as they pass food and condiments during cross table conversations. The Three Dinner Questions are answered by everyone before they talk about the game. Filling Slim and Dub in on Colson's inpark HomeRun. The Boys eventually going on to bust each other's balls as usual while The Women continue to get to know each other and The Kids ask questions about EVERYTHING. Beers and white wine being passed along as quickly as Ashleigh's homemade chicken.
"So, you don't mind the air fryer?" She asks.
"This is air fried?" Dub asks in shock.
"What the FUCK is air fried?" Benny asks with such a panicked authority Luna can't help but laugh; she's never seen him react like that.
"You cook with hot air instead of grease." Ashleigh tries to explain.
"Fuck that voodoo ass nonsense, Ash." Benny drops his chicken and crosses his arms.
"You good, Benz? Cuz you're on some real weird ass shit right now, Pal." Luna lightly laughs again.
"Nah man, that shit ain't right... Fucking air fry... Just sounds like some voodoo shit." Benny sticks to his guns with his arms still crossed.
"What the fuck do you think a microwave is?" Sam scoffs at him. "Talk about unnatural? That's fucking electromagnetic waves verses air, Bro. Get it. Together." She rolls her eyes as she chomps into her chicken leg.
Benny thinks about science for a minute before picking his chicken back up. It's too delicious too deny. Even if it is voodoo chicken.
"Fucking Men." Sam mumbles to Ashleigh's laughter as she shakes her head and enjoys her chicken.
No one else is afraid of air fried chicken. Easily finishing it off. Benny eating five pieces of the devil's work alone. As they sit with full bellies, they start to talk about the up coming week. Colson and AJ having their girls clear the table so that they can work.
"I've got you guys booked for GMA this Thursday." Ashleigh informs Luna and Colson while looking at the calendar on her phone.
"This Thursday? Like four days from now?" Luna asks. "For what?"
"Have you not talked to Jackie?" Ashleigh sighs, sounding like Monica.
"No... It's the Fourth of July Weeknd. I figured she'd start tomorrow." Luna shrugs.
When Ashleigh sighs again Sam, AJ and Rook simultaneously stand up, grabbing odd things the kids had missed off the table and heading into the kitchen. Naomi, Natasha, Baze and Benny follow behind shortly along with Dub and D grabbing their babies. That leaves Luna, Colson, Slim, Kevin and a super stoned Pete. He still has is plate in front of him and is just hangen' out while he figures it out.
"They were supposed to contact her." Ashleigh explains.
"Here... Let's just fucking call her." Luna pulls her phone out and looks for Jackie's number, there's a slight attitude to her tone.
It's not directed at Ashleigh. It's more towards television and MorningTime Bullshit Talk TV. Luna's avoided things like this all of her career. Now it like she's Tom from Tom&Jerry; with fame and over exposure being the rake that constantly keeps smacking her in fucking her face.
"Hello?" Jackie answers on the second ring.
"Hey Jack, it's Loon..." Luna greets her friend. "I got you on speaker with Colson and his manager, Ashleigh..." Luna pauses for them to say Hello. "Uhmmmm... She has me booked for GMA Thursday? Do you know anything about that? Apparently they were supposed to hit you up?" Luna asks.
"Yeah, you didn't get my messages?" Her chipper voice slips through the speakerphone.
"What messages?" Luna asks as Ashleigh cuts her a What The Fuck look.
"The text, email and voicemail I left Friday evening, telling you about the booking... Is there a problem, Loons?" Jackie's sweet Australian accent asks suddenly concerned.
"Yeah. Luna's a jackass who doesn't answer her phone." Colson laughs as he smirks at her.
"Man, fuck you." Luna rolls her eyes but knows that it's true. "Is there anything else?"
"Yeah, Rolling Stone wants to book you and Colson in September for their October issue... I need whatever IT is...? I got a call from Kimmel for either Nightmare or Bad Things, they don't care which. One for something called Hot Ones. Oh! This is fun... I also got call asking for you to be a judge on RuPaul's drag show! I think you should definitely do that one!" She giggles after rattling off the long list.
"What the fuck.... Why? Ugh." Luna mentally sighs as she rubs her forehead in irritation.
"Hi, Jackie... This is Ashleigh, Colson's manager. I'm gonna take your number if you don't mind. Colson's going back on tour overseas in August, this way we can just coordinate their schedules together." Ashleigh steps in to help out. "Get them booked on the right things... And make sure everyone's communicating." She gives Luna a glance to her grateful smile and playful middle finger in return.
"That's a great idea!" Jackie immediately agrees.
"While we have her on the phone, let's get everyone in here so we can lock down the week." Ashleigh suggests to Luna's nod.
With Baze, AJ, Sammy, Benny, Rook and Mod back in the dining room, they go over the upcoming week. Monday, Luna and Colson are headed to the DMV for her Ohio ID, the courthouse to apply for their marriage license and to Colson's Cleveland jeweler to hopefully find their wedding bands. Deanna's expected in early Tuesday morning to finish the rest of the fittings. Casie is set to head back to her mom's Wednesday evening while Mod flies back to LA and Luna, Colson, The Boys, Sammy, Kevin, Pete and Deanna take off in the other direction to NYC. Thursday is GMA and other business. Sam agrees to call Mikey to see if he'll fly back with them Thursday night to record IT on Friday.
Feeling confident about the upcoming week, Luna takes Jackie off of speaker to talk to her privately. Ashleigh going on to present Colson with a handful of movie scripts as Luna heads out back.
"I need you to do me a favor..." Luna begins. "When I'm in The City on Thursday, I wanna get into my storage unit and pull the things I want in The Brownstone... Can you book movers and make sure it all safely gets there afterwards? I'll give you a key beforehand."
"Yeah... No problem, Loons. You want me to meet you there and help?" Jackie asks.
"If you wouldn't mind, that'd be awesome. Sammy'll probably be with me too." Luna answers.
"Absolutely. I'll meet you Thursday morning in Times Square, Sweetie." Jackie's Australian accent coos before Luna Thanks her and they say GoodBye.
Once off the phone with Jackie, Luna calls Monica. They speak on the details regarding the two new properties Luna's trying to obtain. Luna then goes on to ask Monica about the PreNump. It's ready to be signed, Luna informing her attorney when she'll be in town this upcoming week as they can schedule a meeting.
"I know you don't wanna do this Loons..." Monica tries to comfort Luna before she cuts her off.
"I don't wanna talk about it. I'll see you Thursday. Thanks as always, Mon." Luna quickly ends the conversation.
Walking back into the house, everyone is still gathered at the dining room table. Luna politely asks to talk to Colson and Ashleigh alone.
"What's up?" Colson asks with concern as he fills her wine glass.
"Did you happen to mention the PreNump to Ash?" She asks lowly as she looks over at their friend.
"He did... Why? Is everything okay?" Ashleigh's voice now holds it's own tone of concern.
"Yeah, uhmmmm... I just got off the phone with Monica. It's drawn up and we're set to sign it while we're in NY....." Luna trails.
"But..." Colson leads her as he lights a joint.
"You know I don't want this and I trust Monica with my life but I'd feel so much better if you brought Cyrus to look over it on your behalf." Luna explains to Colson as she takes a sip of her wine. "Do you think you can get him out there with us?" She asks as she turns to Ashleigh.
"I'll call him right now." Ashleigh replies, appreciating Luna's transparency as she calls Colson's private lawyer.
Colson and Luna sit and share the joint as Ashleigh makes the phone call. He gently comforts her worries about the PreNump before they start talking about how they want the performance on GMA to feel. Off the phone, Ashleigh reassures them Cyrus will be at the meeting.
After a while AJ, Dub and Ashleigh collect their families. Spreading Love and GoodByes as Baze and Sam head out with them. Slim not far behind. Leaving Colson, Luna, Casie, Pete, Kevin, Rook, Mod and Benny.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Casie is tucked safely in bed after her and Colson's tradition of three books and their GoodNight Song. Mod is painting in the living room with Kevin. Benny, Rook and Pete are with them but deeply enthralled in a session of COD. Luna and Colson finally finding some time alone.
Sitting quietly by the edge of the pool, their feet playfully comfort one another's in the cool water as they sit shoulder to shoulder. Vance Joy is dreamily floating from Luna's phone as the moon beams down upon them. Sharing a joint, they go over the day's events. From their dry bubblebath to Colson's InPark HomeRun. Luna takes a deep drag off of the joint as the topic of Jackson finally comes up.
"I know why he kissed you, Loons, I'm a fucking dude." He deadpans as he looks over at her. "It was a pathetic last ditch effort to try to get you to change your mind." Colson looks away from Luna as he hesitates. "Which I hate that I get... Because I wouldn't wanna lose you either." He looks back into her eyes during his last sentence while he laces his fingers into her free hand that's resting beside him. Slightly squeezing it tighter along with what follows. "It's fucking disrespectful though. To you, to me... I still don't get why you had to go down there but I know you had good intentions... And it pisses me off because I feel like he takes advantage of that and your history together. And for real, I know it's not a big deal to you but you left him with a glimmer of hope when you kissed him GoodBye." Air quoting her on the last word.
Colson's now gripping her hand with a worrisome look. Luna finds herself in a unique position. Never one to explain herself but at the same time always knowing when to acknowledge that she's wrong, she gives Colson her own weird look. He's right... And, he's right. She has nothing to protest.
"I..." She begins to agree with him as Colson cuts her off, assuming she's about to argue with him as always.
"Aht." He puts his free hand up that's holding the joint hostage. "I told you. I'm a dude. I know what I'm talkin' about. So fucking stop. You wanna kiss someone GoodBye, kiss em on the God Damn cheek. Or Imma start kissen' bitches GoodBye too." He states firmly as he uses his joint laced hand to adamantly make his point.
Still holding onto Luna's hand tightly, he hits the joint finally. Staring out into the darkness just beyond the pool, they sit silently. Both thinking about his honest words. Puffing hard on the joint, he passes it to Luna. They catch eyes as she reaches for it. Like magnets, they're held there by each other's souls. Both of their blue eyes studying the other's. It's not they're normal challenging stare. It's more of a deep, inquisitive look into one another's truth.
"I'll fucking kill you." Luna lightly chuckles with that half grin that he loves as she holds his gaze and hits the joint seductively.
"EXACTLY." Colson retorts with a belly laugh before she lifts the joint to his lips.
Taking a full hit, he pulls Luna in by her jawbone and delicate neck. Kissing her passionately, he balloons her lungs with his smoke before releasing her. Luna's lungs expand beyond belief, taking Colson's WHOLE hit and the kiss he left on her lips. Exhaling, she coughs her head off.
"That's what you get..." He says with a slightly sarcastic tone as he rubs her back.
Luna proceeds to cough for another minute only for it to feel like forever as Colson shoots a couple more small zingers her way. Looking over at him as she's doubled over, losing a lung, Luna gives Colson the DeathStare. This shuts him up, leaving him to rub her back until she can breathe again after another minute or so.
"You're RIGHT." Luna slightly gasps out, Colson had hit her lungs too hard.
"Why... Wait... What??" Colson looks around the backyard in his honest confusion before scrunching his face up at Luna.
"I agree with you." Luna shrugs as she takes his arm and wraps it around herself. Nestling into him, she explains her logic. "He was disrespectful to both of us and our relationship... That's not cool. That's not fair and that's certainly not friendship. I would hope that you DO know that, THAT part of my life is bigger than Jackson..." They're both staring out into the star sprinkled and city line laced abyss as they talk.
"I do..." Colson sighs. "What are you getting at?" Knowing that Luna doesn't give details for no reason.
Sitting up, she turns to him. "I'd like for Opie to be at our Cleveland wedding. Along with his wife, dad and my niece and nephew..."
"I thought you didn't like kids?" Colson teases her under the midnight sky.
"I mean... I don't. Not REALLY." Luna lightly laughs at herself for a moment before thinking about it; she's slightly amazed by how many kids she truly interacts with and loves with her WHOLE heart without even realizing it.
"I'm teasing you, Buttercup." Colson pulls on her by the shoulders as he leans in closer to kiss the side of her head. "I know they're important to you... Invite who you need. Just not FUCKING Jackson. Or Tommy... Actually, you know what? Offer 'em both tickets to EstFest. On me." Colson looks at her smugly as he waits for her reaction to his new idea.
"No. That's not necessary." Luna answers after she hits the joint a few times before passing it back. "I may need to invite his mother though..." Luna looks over at Colson with a worrisome look.
"Who's?" Colson asks with a slight attitude.
"Jackson's mom, Gemma. Out of respect." Before Colson can to begin to argue with her she reminds him of Old Codes to his understanding sigh. "I don't know though because of my Mom-Mom..." Luna trails at the end.
Their joint is long gone. Luna and Colson sit together quietly again, still side by side as they pass a fresh one back and forth. Saying what she needed to, Luna waits for Colson to speak.
"I'll make you a deal..." Colson finally breaks their silence as he passes her the joint. "I'll support whatever you feel is right for our private ceremony... As long as you let me record all of EstFest for a special Kelly Vision. Behind the scenes and all." He offers up his compromise with a cocky smirk.
The idea of recording their EstFest Wedding has been brewing in his head for a minute now. Knowing Luna hates feeling exposed, he had thought of a thousand different ways to convince her to do it. Now, Colson sees his shot free and clear and he's not missing it. In his mind, it also won't hurt his ego to have Jackson's Mommy watch as Luna takes him as Her Only either.
"Like all weekend?" Luna asks with a terrified look as she passes back the bone.
"ALLLL weekend." Colson grins as he takes a satisfied hit, knowing he has her on the hook.
"Fine..." Luna sighs, annoyed by whatever Buttercup shit just came out of his mouth beforehand and the fact that she's pretty sure Gemma won't dare come because of Patti but only mentioned it as a precaution; while simultaneously deciding it's all worth it to prove whatever point or loyalty to Colson that he needs.
"Thanks, Kitten." Colson pulls her closer with his draped arm still around her as he kisses the side of her head again, feeling bad for slightly manipulating her. "You can sit in on editing if you want..." He offers as he passes the shrinking joint.
"I'd fucking hope so." Luna scoffs before hitting it. "Considering you're basically talking about our wedding video."
"Shit... I didn't think about it like that." Colson admits.
"Yeah..." Luna exhales through her hit. "I didn't hire a photographer because it never struck me until now." She answers with her hands out as she yawns.
"No sweat, I'll hit up Wozy... I'm sure he'd love to do it." Colson reassures her with another kiss to the head.
"You ready to go tomorrow?" Luna asks him softly.
"Where? To the DMV or the courthouse?" Colson teases her.
"To the fucking courthouse, you Asshole." She chuckles as she slightly jabs him in the ribs with her elbow.
"Definitely. More than anything." He answers as he pulls her face in with his oversized hand to kiss her. "You?" He asks, letting his hand drop to fully study her as his eyes slightly darken.
"Absolutely." She smiles at him with That One Look, pulling him in now with both of her hands.
Luna kisses Colson passionately as his firm hands roam her body. With their tongues twisting inside their kiss, Colson pops back and grins against her lips. Pressing his lips onto her mouth with force, he breaks away slightly to grin again. This time wider. Rocking her slowly inside his hold as he begins to kiss her again, he picks up his pace. Realizing what he's doing, Luna starts to panic.
"Colson!! Nooo!!" Luna shouts as he throws them both into the pool.
Popping her head up, Luna spits out a mouth full of water at Colson. Making him quickly dunk her again. He pulls her up with his strong arms and plants a solid kiss on her sputtering lips. Still in their clothes, Luna wraps her body around his as they begin to heavily make out. Pulling off their wet clothing, they let the articles carelessly float around the pool as Colson guides her body to the side of the pool. Kissing all over her neck as he slowly pushes himself into her warm pussy. She gasps with a purring shudder as he hits her back wall.
"YOU. ARE FUCKING MINE." Colson's deep voice causes Luna to moan out in pleasure as he tangles his fingers in her wet hair and thrusts deeper inside of her.
The demanding authority in his voice has Luna bucking against him wildly. Pulling on his hair as she bites down on his shoulder and cums easily for him. Sliding safely back Home once more, Colson grips Luna's ribcage tightly.
"Oooooh, FUUUUUCK!!" He growls out as his body shakes and he releases himself inside of Luna while the water flows around their orgasms.
"Still mad?" Luna asks sweetly as she nibbles on his ear.
Not mad but definitely still hard, Colson drives himself further inside of Luna. She gasps again at his length and girth, her body twitches and she lowly purrs as her insides wrap themselves around him.
"This dick your only dick?" He taunts while pleased by her reaction.
"Mhhm..." Luna moans as she kisses him.
Unable to contain her desire for him, Luna starts grinding against Colson's solid dick. Leading them to fuck each other again feverishly in the pool. Sloppy, wet kisses land everywhere before Luna clutches onto Colson's body. Letting him take all that he wants from her. Again and again.

I’m bored. Here are my actor choices for a Fallout 4 movie.
I don’t think it’s everyone, but it still took me all day.
I tried to keep them in a rough order of appearance.
Also, I based Nate and Nora off of the games’ preset. However, if I were actually casting a movie, I would just have open auditions. But anyway, here we go.
Nate:
Tumblr media
Milo Ventimiglia
It was between him and Jensen Ackles. But honestly, I already had my Nora choice in my heart and I could just see Milo and her running to the vault in a panic together. If that’s not enough I saw Nate in him instantly. The widowed soldier desperately looking for his son in the annihilated future. Plagued with nightmares, but he would still stay warm and uplifting. Milo + Jumpsuit + Dogmeat = Yes, please.
Nora:
Tumblr media
Anne Hathaway
Anything I say about her won’t do her justice. First off, she’s easily one of the most talented actors of all time. From the Princess Diaries to Les Miserables, she has proved time and time again that she can be anyone she wants to. Could she be a full-of-life but grief ridden mother, making new friends and enemies while shooting her way through the Commonwealth to find her kidnapped child? In her fucking sleep. Plus her presence would be plenty strong enough to stand up to any of the rest of our star studded, “would-be” cast.
Codsworth & all the Mr. Handy bots(voice):
Tumblr media
Tim Curry
I just want to see it, I have no other excuse.
Conrad Kellogg:
Tumblr media
Christopher Meloni
I kept wanting to go with Jeffery Dean Morgan, but I just didn’t think I could learn to hate that face the way I hate Kellogg’s. But then once I thought of Christopher there was no other choice. He can do the voice and the terrifying, non-emotional thing with no issue. (His character seriously got to me in Handmaid’s Tale.) But he could also be relatable enough to actually feel for Kellogg while diving through his memories.
Preston Garvey:
Tumblr media
John Boyega
I had definitely forgotten about John when I was browsing through. My husband and I actually discussed him versus Donald Glover for awhile. In the end we decided that Boyega’s Preston would have a stronger stoic side as well as the fun loving friend. I think he would effortlessly display Preston’s disappointment in the Minutemen, as well as his survivor’s guilt.
Sturges:
Tumblr media
Chris Pratt
This part is way too small for Chris nowadays, but I really think he could fall into Sturges’ carefree 50’s mechanic vibe. Plus I could see him throwing in a new sarcastic side to him that could be fun. If not, then I think he would still take him on perfectly, line for line.
Mama Murphy:
Tumblr media
Helen Mirren
She’s powerful. She’s gorgeous. I would almost be afraid she would steal from anyone else on screen with her. And yet, it’s the surreal power that’s needed to make Mama Murphy a real life character. So there ya go.
Paladin Danse:
Tumblr media
John Krasinski
Have you seen him in Jack Ryan? I really think he could embody Danse, heart and soul. From his hardened and serious outsides to his soft, broken, and vulnerable insides. He would play the soldier with so much heart, and would probably have us sobbing when he struggles over his new identity. (Me being in love with both of them has absolutely nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.) Plus him in a flight suit. Nuff said.
Piper Wright:
Tumblr media
Kat Dennings
First off, she’s freaking gorgeous. Second, I think Piper’s fiery personality would fit her like a glove. Plus she would take on the role of Nat’s big sister perfectly. If you’ve seen her in Thor then you already know she makes an excellent side-kick and adds some great comic relief.
Mayor McDonough:
Tumblr media
Alec Baldwin
I jumped around a lot with this one. I even considered people like James Spader and Jack Nicholson (too old, I know). But then I remembered Alec’s ability to lay on the cheeeeeese. I have no doubt he could handle McDonough’s suspicious but seemingly normal character, and transitioning into his manic and desperate attempt to stay alive. Plus, he would nail his “I am not a synth!” speech, finding the perfect balance of creepy and welcoming.
Ellie Perkins:
Tumblr media
Ellie Kemper
She has an adorable, scrappy, and loving personality that glows every time she’s on screen. I don’t think I’ve seen her in anything serious, personally, but I bet she’d be up for the challenge. Especially to fill the role for someone cute and spunky like Ellie.
Nick Valentine:
Tumblr media
Liev Schreiber
I really, really struggled with this one. Obviously CGI and other special effects would have to happen no matter what, but whoever I chose still had to have those serious eyes, warm and friendly smile, and that old Boston gumshoe voice. Cue Liev. He’s probably a touch young, but if we’re already using CGI anyway so who cares.
Elder Arthur Maxson:
Tumblr media
Tom Hardy
I don’t even feel the need to explain myself here. Venom. That’s all I’ll say.
X6-88:
Tumblr media
Michael B. Jordan
As sweet as his smile is, I feel like the minute Jordan pulls on a stone cold look, blood would drain the face of whoever was playing opposite of him. However he would easily be able to add the oddly comforting touch X6 has when he watches over the Sole Survivor.
Desdemona:
Tumblr media
Laura Prepon
Her commanding and sexy vibe in everything she plays is absolutely perfect. At least for me. She’s a bit young, but I think it would be easy enough to age her up. She would naturally become the leader of the Railroad, and would totally scare the piss out of everyone in her way.
Deacon:
Tumblr media
Ryan Alosio
Yep, the man himself. He’s got the look, the charisma, and he can obviously do Deac’s iconic voice. Don’t fix what’s not broken. If you’re not convinced, watch this very impressive reel of his. Or do it anyway because DAMN. It was shameful how quickly I fell in love.
https://www.imdb.com/video/vi3911957785?ref_=nmvi_vi_imdb_1
Tinker Tom:
Tumblr media
Anthony Mackie
Tom has a whole lot of energy to keep up with. I pushed him off to one of the last ones I chose because he is just so unique, and I actually needed my husband’s opinion. We finally settled on the talented and energetic Anthony. He’s goofy, absolutely lovable, and would probably have way too much fun playing into the crazy conspiracy bits.
Father(Old Man Shaun):
Tumblr media
Gary Oldman
I feel bad not giving this brilliant actor a bigger role. His chameleon ability could land him almost anything here, but his soft but strong voice is literally perfect for Father’s. Just age him up a bit and he’ll melt into the role like with everything he doeswewse. He would make the reunion with Shaun 1000x more intense and emotional, and I could see him almost convincing all of us to join the Institute. I mean, it’s Gary fucking Oldman.
(Side Quest Characters)
John Hancock:
Tumblr media
James Franco
I actually couldn’t believe I hadn’t put this together before. I’m starting to wonder if Hancock was actually written for James. Super chill, but not scared to get shit done. Including taking care of Finn in the most casual and Godfather way possible within the first few moments of meeting him. Then afterward he would take some chems with Sole and talk about life for awhile. I’m totally okay with this idea.
Robert MacCready:
Tumblr media
James Marsden
I’ll be honest, I have never played with MacCready before. I had to watch some videos to get a feel for it but in the end I feel like I found a solid choice. I know he’s “pretty” but throw on some scruff, dirt, and a green cap and he’s there. Think Westworld.
Cait:
Tumblr media
Karen Gillan
Cait can kick my ass any day, and that’s how I feel about Karen. They are both just so breathtakingly badass. Any sole survivor would struggle to keep from lusting after her, and then caring deeply as they worked through her drug addiction.
Curie:
Tumblr media
Mélanie Laurent
Both Curie and Melanie are just innocently stunning and can light up a room with a smile. Curie would be especially difficult because not only is she gorgeous, but she’s almost always the smartest one in the room, but I think Melanie could do her justice.
---
So there is our very expensive cast list!
There’s a lot here that I feel on the fence about but this was still a lot of fun to do. I’m sure there are other actors that I have forgotten that could take on these characters too, so let me know what you would have done differently!

My Avengers Endgame World Premiere experience
this is really long, lota rambling feel free to read skim anything idc, no spoilers bc this was on Monday before I saw the movie :)
Ok Ima start Saturday night, this is when I was packing making and painting my posters that said “Thank You Avengers”, I live in California so I didn’t have to fly to this event. At 12am we (my family) we arrive in Los Angeles around 5am. At this time I thought that the premiere was going to be at El Capitan Theatre where it was originally supposed to be. We drive by the theater and we see no one is in line which was weird bc normally there would be people here already so i search and find the location which was switched last min (smh) the drive to the next location wasnt too long but at least i knew i was at the right location bc of the small group of fans and the giant poster that said Avengers Endgame World Premiere. Apparently they changed the location bc they needed a larger screening room and they didnt want tons of fans showing up, there were these girls that were waiting at the El Capitan for 2 hours before they realized something was up. Anyway, we get in line. People who were in charge told the people who stayed over night to go home bc there wasnt going to be a fan area. No one left ofc who would hell no. Then some people went on twitter to talk about it made signs it was confusing but we ended up in a fan area after going through security. We got into the fan area at 12 ish and we had to stand there for another 4 and a half hours before anything exciting happens. Now its around 4pm people are starting to arrive. (THIS IS WHEN THE ACTION STARTS) Benedict Wong then Joe Russo. Not many came all the way down the line, I was the last one on the line before it wrapped around the corner. But I did want to get barricade and able to see action so Im grateful for my spot. Then Anthony Mackie arrives he’s walking to end of the fan area around the small corner but as hes walking right as he gets near me i scream at the top of my lungs, he stops right in front of me and i go “AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!ANTHONYYYYY MACKiE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!” he looks at me biggest smile. We had a whole moment together its hard to explain its kinda like a ‘you had to be there moment’ i was the longest person probably a good 20 seconds (which is a long ass time in these times when they are in a rush) he was at and while im screaming and fangirling he air grabs my head to fucking sign my forehead i closed my eyes and accepted it he didnt do it ofc but he was just a fun guy i love him soooo much he signs my posters while saying “There’s no black guy on here” (i did an original 6 themed avengers poster) but he signed than signed my bosslogic poster which he was in. paul rudd comes by hes just a rocking dude i love scott lang sm, he was so sweets v cool guys sm love for him. Then at around 5pm Chris freaking Hemsworth arrives I loose my shit and so does everyone else. Just like Joe, Benedict Wong & Anthony he also went around the corner to make sure they got all of the fans (thank u to all who did this). Ive loved Hemsie for the longest time, i did get teary eyed but i didnt cry (yet) he was just the sweetest I was able to take a crappy photo with him bc i wasnt able to function properly as i took the pic my dumbass was like “iLOvEyoUsOmUCh” its oka cause he has the cutest smile and the bluest eyes oh and i cant stress enough he smelled so good sooooo good normally i hate when guys coat themselves in cologne cause it smells bad, but his didnt, his smelled so good i was so shook like chris drop what cologne u used idc its for guys mama neeeddds. THEN IT hAPPENEd CHRISTOPHER ROBERT EVANS DRIVES BY. Everyone was like “omg is that chris evans?!”  I stand on the barricade to see if i can catch a peak, istg the moment the fucking moment he gets out the car i start to bawl my eyes out. This man who has meant more to me than anyone is over there i couldnt believe i was seeing my favorite human ever. I’ve only sobbed right as i saw my fave once before back in 2016 at the Passengers premiere when I met Jennifer Lawrence. People dont really understand the moment like this person has inspired me so much of course im going to cry and sure judge me for it but they helped me through so much. Anyway he looked soo hot in his blue suit and sunglasses. I kinda calm down bc i didnt know if he was going to come all the way down the line and yk my ass wanted a pic but he was cut half way though the people which was upsetting but again im extremely grateful to be able to see him. Then my main fucking man. Sebastian Stan arrives. see ive met the guy before last year at ace comic con (there was tea w my photo op being really messy and i hated it i got a refund u can read about that on my ace comic con post). anyway i see him. i dont cry im trying to wipe my tears i was more prepared cause ive seen him before it was gonna be ok. I lose my shit the man was wearing a baby blue pastel colored suit. fucking beautiful. iconic. very hot of you mr seb ty. hes walking down and hes getting close. he wasnt to smiley, he was taking pics but he was focused on the fans signing for as many fans as possible. He gets to me and he sees our pics then he looks u so we could take a pic and his smile just transforms you can just see his face just glow up it was the truly the cutest this ive ever experience. then we look up from the pic and hes smiling at me i tell him “I love you so much” i hear him chuckle but as he says something his security guy yells “thank you that enough” so ill be posting the vid of us and any lip readers can help a girl out ill love you forever. I ended up being Sebs last person from the fan area. he truly made my day, week fucking year. then other celebs such as jon favreau, benedict cumberbatch comes by. Jeremy Renner comes by. I shoot my shot and make small talk w Jeremy. I go “Hi Jermey how’s your day going?” he goes “I’m doing really good, how bout you?” he signs my things i excitingly tell him “I’m doing great thank you” then he goes “Thank you honey” and smiles at me. It made me really happy, i could tell he was a bit tired but Jeremy is such a sweetheart he doesnt get the credit he deserves i love him sm, ive always has a little part of my heart for Hawkeye. minutes go by. I see Lizzie Olsen, Danai Gurira, beautiful ofc. then i see fucking Mark Ruffalo hes just standing behind one of the SUVs and the sun is on him. He looked like a confused puppy it was so cute and soft, i love my ruffalo buffalo. I took my moment to scream “iS THat MARK ruFFALO?” i dont think he signed for many fans. Scarjo arrives she doesnt sign for many either she looked beautiful v pretty. a little while passes than the most bitching car comes by and stops where the cars stop until the drop off area clears and they can go. we all knew who ever was in that car he was important. then it was his time to go cause the drop off area was cleared. guess who was in the drivers seat. You guessed right. Robert Downey Jr rolling up in an Audi E-TRON, with his wife Susan Downey in the passenger seat. Truly the Tony Stark entrance. he doesnt sign for many ofc. at this time it was getting later near 6pm almost all celebs and guests are inside where the actual premiere set up is. then Vin Diesel comes in. He was the most fan based guy. even though he was running late he ran (literally speed walking) through the whole line of fans around the corner and everything. he had the biggest smile on. wearing his groot jacket. and if u dont know fast and furious are one of my fave franchises of all time so i was having the best time. then that was the last person and we started heading out. i didnt name all who ive seen since there was just to many and i probably missed some things but i loved my experience. i was able to see all the original avengers irl and that made me really happy. this whole cast means the world to me. ill love them forever

Anthony Mackie to Open 20-Acre Film and TV Studio
Tumblr media
Anthony Mackie to Open 20-Acre Film and TV Studio in New Orleans Anthony Mackie, the star of “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and the next Captain America, is planning to open his own film production studio in his home town of New Orleans. News of the facility on a 20-acre lot in East New Orleans was first reported by local outlets in New Orleans. Confirmed by the city’s mayor LaToya Cantrell, as well as official land records in the city. This is incredible,” Cantrell wrote. “The influx of productions will not only bring economic growth but job opportunities!” A representative for Mackie did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Providing no additional details about the film studio. Mackie will next be seen in Peacock’s “Twisted Metal” series based on the video game franchise. He’s also making his directorial debut on a film called “Spark.” About a civil rights icon Claudette Colvin. Which has “King Richard” breakout Saniyya Sidney attached to star. It’s unclear which projects might be filming at Mackie’s New Orleans lot or its expected completion date. “Spark” will look at how on March 2, 1955 Colvin was arrested when she was only 15 years old in Montgomery, Alabama, for refusing to give up her seat to a white woman on a crowded, segregated bus. This occurred nine months before Rosa Parks did the same thing which led to the Montgomery Bus boycotts. Mackie will also be hosting the 2022 CMT Music Awards alongside Kelsea Ballerini. The awards show airs April 11 on CBS. Read the full article

Vince Vaughn & More Join Kristen Stewart In Jean Seberg Thriller ‘Against All Enemies’ – Cannes
EXCLUSIVE: Against All Enemies, the political thriller that stars Kristen Stewart as iconic actress Jean Seberg, has added key cast components. Vince Vaughn, Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2, Atlanta), Yvan Attal (Munich) and Stephen Root (Get Out) are all now on board for the Benedict Andrews-directed film.
 Fred Berger (La La Land) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik are producing alongside Kate Garwood and Stephen Hopkins. Phreaker Films, led by Alan Ritchson and Marina Acton, has come on board to produce and finance. Bradley Pilz of Bradley Pilz Productions is also producing. Sales kick off in Cannes this week via Memento Films International. UTA is repping U.S. rights.
Along with Stewart — also at Cannes as a member of the festival’s competition jury — Deadline previously revealed the cast includes Jack O’Connell, Anthony Mackie, Margaret Qualley and Colm Meaney. Filming is set for June in Los Angeles.
Seberg, an American actress who spent half her life in France, was a darling of the French New Wave. Because of her political and romantic involvement with civil rights activist Hakim Jamal (Mackie), she was also a target of the FBI’s attempts to disrupt, discredit and expose the Black Power movement. O’Connell plays the ambitious young FBI agent assigned to surveil her, only to find their fates dangerously interwoven.
Vaughn is set to play Carl Kowalski, the FBI agent in charge of the investigation, who is not afraid of bending the rules to his advantage. Root plays Seberg’s longtime agent, Walt Breckman. French star Attal will play the iconic novelist Romain Gary, who was married to Seberg at the time.
Vaughn has been on a hot trajectory of late. He most recently starred in S. Craig Zahler’s Brawl in Cell Block 99, and has reteamed with Zahler on Dragged Across Concrete alongside Mel Gibson for Lionsgate which will be seen later this year. In 2016, Vaughn starred in Gibson’s WWII drama Hacksaw Ridge.
Against All Enemies has attracted top creative collaborators including Academy Award-nominated director of photography Rachel Morrison (Mudbound) and Academy Award-nominated costume designer Michael Wilkinson.
Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse (Edge of Tomorrow 2) penned the script, and will serve as executive producers. They have just completed production work on Captain Marvel for Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, and are currently adapting Pulitzer Prize-winning novel Blood in the Water for Amy Pascal and TriStar.
Vaughn is repped by WME and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein. Root is repped by Gersh and Brillstein. Beetz is repped by Gersh.
Phreaker Films is a finance and production entity providing debt and equity investments in film and television that was founded in 2018 by Ritchson and Silicon Valley-based venture capitalist Acton.
Bradley Pilz Productions recently produced Naomi Watts thriller The Wolf Hour; survival drama, 6 Below; and executive produced Margot Robbie bank thriller, Dreamland.
Against All Enemies will be presented by Phreaker Films and Ingenious Media, with Peter Touche serving as an exec producer for Ingenious.
