The conclusion of chimera ant arc had me SOBBINGGG, AMD THE ANT GIRL WHO FOUND HER MOTHER?? but most importantly, I just couldn't get meruems character and kumogi out of my mind 😔

even when facing an extremely powerful enemy, netero, he just SAT there and refused to fight him because apparently, he found out that powerful people are to protect the weak, and not everyone gotta get killed, and some people are worth it to be alive, THEN we get a flash OF KUMOGI RIGHT AFTER. EVERY PROCESS AND DEVELOPMENT HIS CHARACTER GETS ALWAYS SCARS ME IM SOBBINGGGG

THE WAY HE FORGOT ABOUT EVERYTHING AFTER THE EXPLOSION BUT HE STILL VAGUELY REMEMBERS HER.

I wish I knew what species our big tree in the front yard is so I could properly assess wether the landscapers telling us it’s near the end of its lifespan are bullshitting us or not. Its name is Leafy and it can’t be much more than 20 to 25 years old. MAYBE 30 if it’s really old. I just have doubts now because they also told us that our little oak‘s natural average lifespan was about 10 to 15 years and I am just like. Hm. That doesn’t sound quite right but I don’t know enough about trees to dispute that.

Nekoma at an Amusement Park - A Long Headcanon Post

The car ride there is the most miserable 30 minutes of Kai's life. Inuoka can't stop asking "are we there yet?" every five seconds, Tora and Lev are arguing about what ride is the scariest at a criminal volume for 9am, Yaku's shouting at them from the passenger seat to shut up (which only makes things louder), Kenma's grumbling to himself while Kuroo tries to hype him up (again, too much energy for 9am). Kai. Oh Kai. Why did you volunteer to drive? Kai needs another coffee.

No one brought bags because they didn't want to pay for lockers except Yaku (always the prepared one). This left them with no choice but to beg for space in his. Yaku begrudgingly became the wallet guardian

The first thing Tora and Fukunaga do is drag Kenma to the teacups, which they spin as fast as humanely possible. Afterwards Kenma has to sit out for an entire hour (they later find him taking refuge in the arcade)

While in line for a rollercoaster Lev asks Yaku—with 100% sincerity— if he's tall enough to get on. Yaku debates reaching over to unbuckle his seatbelt mid-ride.

Teshiro prepared an itinerary to try and hit as many attractions as possible but unfortunately the other first years are constantly derailing things like the distractible idiots they are

The best at waiting in long lines are Kai, Teshiro, Fukunaga, and Kenma. The first two are generally patient, Fukunaga's good at entertaining himself by people watching, and Kenma almost prefers playing mobile games to the actual ride. The worst at waiting are Lev, Tora, and Inuoka, especially Lev (he's a whiner). Yaku can wait but he's definetly bouncing on his toes the entire time.

Kuroo's favorite ride is the drop tower, he likes the tension of being left up there to dangle. He always needles whoever sits next to him so the rest of the team plays rock paper scissors to decide who that has to be. One time he drags Kenma on, who has to sit out AGAIN afterwards (his thrill-ride energy has already been completely drained)

--A BUMPER CAR INTERMISSION --

The Teams

Kenma and Kuroo: Solid duo, at first Kenma's indifferent but after being targeted one-too-many times by his teammates (mostly Tora and Lev) he gets fired up. Then he's out for blood. Kuroo's having a blast.

Tora and Fukunaga: MENACES, will chase after you and slam you into the wall then laugh in your face like cartoon villians (at least Tora does, Fukunaga just gives you a devious grin). Way too into it please chill out.

Lev and Yaku: Are they fighting the other teams or each other? Lev keeps complaining about not having enough leg room then sprawling himself over Yaku's space. Needless to say Yaku doesn't take that lying down. Easy targets, they're sitting ducks in the middle of the floor since they're too busy arguing to drive.

Inuoka and Shibayama: Having the time of their LIFE, laughing their asses off every time they get bumped. Instead of one person driving they each take a side of the wheel and whip it around wildly. This is the ideal way to bumper car.

Kai and Teshiro: The sleeper agents, they sneak up from behind and get you when you least expect it. Kai is still pissed from the car ride so he's got a lot of stress to work out. There's something horrifying behind that smile.

-- INTERMISSION OVER--

To settle their feud from the car ride Tora and Lev sit in the front row on the scariest coaster in the park. Beforehand they're talking smack and trying to one-up each other ("I'm not gonna scream at all!" "Well i'm not gonna hold the bar!") but by the first drop they're both shreiking and clinging to each other for dear life. Kai buys the souvenir photo and hangs it in the club room

Fukunaga loves those giant swing rides (whatever they're called idk), he does his best brainstorming up there. He always streches his arms out dramatically like the majestic dove he is

At lunch Kuroo rants about how overpriced theme park food is and proudly brags about the homemade sandwiches he smuggled in. No one cares, they want just want some fucking chicken tenders

Shibayama buys way too many souvenirs. Inuoka buys way too many snacks. Together they are out of money.

Kuroo and Tora get super competetive at the carnival games. Kuroo wins one of those big plushies and gives it to Kenma, who complains about how he has to lug it around now (though he's actually very touched and treasures it). Tora only manages to get a pitty prize after spending way too much money. He gives it to Akane later

The first years go on the log flume and get completely soaked. When they return to the group Inuoka shakes himself off like a dog and sprays everyone in the process

Kuroo, Fukunaga, and Teshiro are the only ones who care enough to watch one of the stage performances. It's definetly made for children but they dont care, they sit in the front row and cheer louder than any of the kids (except Teshiro, who just claps politely). Fukunaga gets chosen for an audience participation moment and its the best part of his day

The third years go through the haunted house together and cower behind Kai the entire time. Afterwards the others ask how it was and Kuroo and Yaku act all nonchalant, but after a glare from Kai they admit that they were huge wusses

To end it off they all go on the ferris wheel, same duos as bumper cars: Kuroo and Kenma: Chill vibes, they're talking like they always do in the way only childhood best friends can Fukunaga and Tora: Rocking the car back and forth as hard as they can. Tora's convinced they can make a full 360 loop, and while Fukunaga knows that's not possible he appreciates the enthusiasm Lev and Yaku: For the first time that day they stopped bickering. Yaku wont admit it but they have a nice time Inuoka and Shibayama: Playing I Spy and general people watching. Eventually they start narrating over people's interactions and get way too invested in the little storyline they've made up Teshiro and Kai: Teshiro's hitting Kai with rapid fire questions, a lot about volleyball but also just general stuff about being an upperclassman. Kai is happy to provide answers

The car ride home is a lot more relaxed. Kuroo volunteered to drive this time and him and Yaku have a nice chat while the rest of the team take a nap in the back seats. All and all a successful day

Anyway random Ante lore drop <3 one day Ryn and Ante are getting lunch with their friends and while they're eating Ryn borrows Ante's phone and starts scrolling through his camera solely because he's bored and he finds this picture and he's like "oh is that ur sister?"

and everyone at the table starts cooing they're all like "she's so pretty!!! that's a high school uniform right is her high school around here. you should let her meet us sometime!!!" and ante is just like "??? nooo thats meee!!! hehe :3" and everyone's like "what"

and then Jace (i haven't properly introduced him yet but he's ante's friend and The Guy With Blood Type B from that one Q&A post...who is also lowkey Ante's twin's bf but whatever) is like "man you know i love you no matter what but i swear you showed me a picture of you from high school for our project last semester and you were like. super boobless" and ante's like "yeah that was also me lol"

HOWEVER although it is random, it IS rare to change every other week/day. Like generally when you change genders, you probably keep it for a couple of months at the least unless your body is really just like fuck you idk

so then he has to explain (some vampire lore for this universe for u guys) that vampires have. a certain level of gender fluidity! as in, quite literally, their bodies change gender throughout their lives and it's not something they can generally control until they reach adulthood.

according to ante, the gender change is completely random, so you might be a guy for like 2 years and then suddenly change to a girl or you might change every other day or week or whatever, there's no pattern and it just happens

He then explains that he's probably changed his gender at least 5 times growing up but he doesn't remember much. But in high school, he was a girl for about half the year and suddenly he changed to a guy for the second half so he was like oh ok

("yeah it was crazy because i've never changed genders halfway through the year before. i woke up one morning and was like where are my boobs. it was also really troublesome trying to convince everyone i somehow did a testosterone speedrun in the span of like. 24 hours").

By the end of that year, he'd turned 18 tho, so at that point he could (mostly) control his Gender Powers TM

Everyone was like "wait so like what gender were you originally born with......what made you choose to stick to being a guy....we have to many questions"

and Ante's just like "Ummmmm originally i think i was born a girl???? or maybe i was a boy ???? i dont remember i'd probably have to ask my mom idk i think the first few seconds of my life i probably glitched genders like 5 times, but it's probably not that important anyways. Also I didn't Hate being a girl i just didn't want to deal with periods until i hit age 50" which is like so real of him so everyone gets it

(*For lore purposes I will also elaborate on the fact that Luan (Ante's twin) also went through the same exact gender cycles Ante did at the same exact time bc it's like a twin thing.💀)

(**Aside from the fact that Ante (and Luan for that matter) chose to be a guy because he didn't want periods lol, make no mistake, he also chose it because it was the form he was most comfortable in. Every now and then he might change it up, but that is very rare because he's pretty happy as he is)

Ants in general have bit me lol ;-; (when I was younger I was actually really scared of ants, I thought they were cool but always kept my distance because I was scared to get bit again) and I still adore them

"I hate wasps because my mom was stung by one" my guy, isn't it crazy how living beings will defend themselves when they feel threatened? Just be chill and the wasp will be chill (even Yellow jackets can be chill, maybe you're just not cool enough for them smh 🙄)

It's reasonable to feel fear from something when it hurts you but to hate every single kind of that bug that bit you 5 years ago because it felt scared to the point where you'll instantly kill it or suggest to kill it on sight is so unreasonable and cruel.

I use to HAAAATTEE people who were like this when I was younger, someone would tell me "ew an ant! Kill it" and 7 year old me would be like

"Maybe we should kill you too for being 'gross and scary' yeah?"

No wonder not a lot of people liked me in my daycare lmao 🥲

Also that kinda excuse is the same thing a lot of bad people use towards marginalized groups, just get over your fear or atleast show some respect
