Hi I'm very fascinated by your dragon svsss au and I got a question if you're still open for them! It's regard SY!SQQ, bc in the first pic that you uploaded of the au he's noticeably more clothed than LQG and in the last comic you made the joke that he's wondering where his clothes are. Now to my question: is this different to how Shen Jiu used to dress because Shen Yuan had some modesty concerns from his former life or did he always cover up more? Or is Liu Qingge just unusually exposed in comparison to the other dragon Peak Lords? Anyway I hope you have a good day!
First of all sorry it took so long to answer your ask oTL (Got busy and distracted)
To answer your first question, SY!Sqq wears the same kind of clothing that SJ!Sqq did, he does feel kinda weird about being so exposed for a while but gets to learn Very Quickly that most everyone dresses like this. So yeah he has modesty concerns but learns to hide his embarrassment very quick because if everyone else is doing it, it isn’t as weird!
Lqg is more exposed than the other peak lords 😂 I’ll get back to that in a second.

Draconic peak lords, having ascended to full dragon hood, can shift between forms easily and so as mentioned above prefer to have less clothing that is easier to move around in. Normal draconic cultivators mimic those styles to some degree despite not being capable of shifting forms fully.
So less clothing = Shifts into other draconic forms more often. Lqg likes to hunt and travel and be in a draconic form a lot so he…doesn’t care much for clothing.
Yqy you’ll notice is very clothed and that’s because he just doesn’t ever shift to other draconic forms for sad reasons, and also to cover up as much of his scales as possible.
The other fun clothing headcannons (is it headcannons for an au??) I have are that the style and complexity of clothing also depends on the ranking of the peak and draconic hierarchy. Like Sqq has more jewelry and gems and Sqh has much simpler clothing and no gems. Lqg has gems because they’re a gift from Sqq.
The other reason for being so scantily clad is that draconic cultivation takes a Lot of time and effort, some more so than others, so people who have beaten their way to the top and ascended to dragonhood like to show off their scales and draconic features. Ahem Sj cough cough

im sure youve answered this SOMEWHERE but how has jack and nana changed personality wise over the years? specifically i was wondering if nana was always this (head?)strong in your first iterations of her, or if it came naturally over time of you figuring out her character!
I know I've answered for Jack and Nana AGES ago, and a more recent answer for Jack here BUT I don't think I've ever truly gone in depth for Nana's development (which is crazy because she was the one out of the two who changed the most).
This is gonna be a WEE bit long so I'mma put my Nana blabbering under cut (bc she is my fav OC right next to her boyfriend)
SO THE VERY FIRST NANA was not head strong at all. She wasn't even a Lupine or had any special powers, save for having a Marchen like everyone else. But since she wasn't part of the main team back when I made her, you rarely saw it in action since she wasn't a fighter.

Girl was small, timid, had a crush on Jack, and...that was really it. That was her whole personality. Which was a big issue because I realized "Oh wow this fuckin' sucks" since there just wasn't any creative chemistry going on. It was just another "Male protagonist and his love interest". No seasoning or side dishes. Plain as hell.
And then I one day realized it'd be fun to make her part Lupine because I loved when people twisted Little Red Riding Hood and made her a wolf.

At this point, she was starting to get more bite to her (no pun intended) because there was the element of her being half human and half Lupine and how that impacted her life and relation to the world around her. She wasn't shy or timid anymore, but she was def quiet. More assertive than her first iteration but not fully at her "Fuck around and find out" present self.
I can't really remember the exact point in time I decided I wanted to give her her "Damn being a Damsel" mindset but I think it was when I was realizing I really liked Cats Don't Dance and Hercules and how much I still very much enjoy Sawyer and Meg's personalities in both films that I started to lean more into Nana being more independent. Plus Danny and Herc have some influence on Jack so it just made sense to take inspiration.
Of course, I didn't want to make her a complete copy and paste of the two so I sprinkled in some of my own experiences as an introvert. I think this was the secret ingredient to fully making her the Nana we know now. She got more "mean", though it was really her just not having time for anybody's foolishness, not even Jack's (initially). Boy had to work hard to get where he is now.
I would def say that Nana has the most complex personality out of all my OCs because she has so many different sides she shows and they all depend on who she is around and what the situation is.
She can be an utter introvert to the point of avoiding interactions, to being a merciless and relentless opponent when in battle, to a mildly awkward (bc she is new to this friend thing) yet endearing and loyal friend, to a mischief maker and enabler when hanging out with Ashe, to the flirt and seductress when alone with Jack because she loves hearing how quick his hear thumps and how cute his stuttering is.
She can also be a goofball. Half of the goofiness is from her regaining it from her childhood when her dad was still alive, and the other half is from her boyfriend rubbing off on her.
BUT YEAH
Nana's present day personality has been a 10 year development basically. VERY HAPPY with where it is now because it adds so much more to Beanstalked than her original "Shy village girl" schtick.

sorry anon to jump onto your idea that didn't get sent but i think about student roleplay ford ALL the time. he's such a good student, he deserves a gold star. he's gonna run out of room on his paper eventually with how well he's doing! gonna have to put them. somewhere else 👀

You'd be able to give him so much praise and adoration.
Fun twist though maybe? Making him work on his emotions instead of theory stuff that he's actually already good at and knows that he's good at. He might not feel too challenged with the work set if he's smarter than the teacher, but if you're giving him stuff that he finds super difficult then he'll have to work harder for it and he'll have a stronger sense of achievement when he succeeds.
I'm thinking along those lines bc in my therapy group, we get 'homework' to do each week where we're given worksheets. They vary depending on which module we're 'studying' but they include stuff like exercises where you have to identify and process certain strong emotions that come up or you practise communication skills or acceptance etc etc.
I can see those being good tasks to get him to do because they not only challenge him, but he benefits long term from them too. It's not just roleplay, he's actually getting more than gratification in that sense out of the task. He's learning skills and applying them.
Obviously though, you can apply them in a more lewd rewarding context.
He completes his homework and manages to achieve the goal, and you get to give him tons of love and praise and recognition for it, and he just kind of melts the moment he gets it. He goes super red whenever you lavish the praise on him but it's clear that he's proud of himself, too. Lots of kisses and hair strokes and stuff.
At the beginning though, he'd definitely be very difficult. He's more inclined to either refuse because he disagrees that he needs the help or that he's fine the way he is, and I can see him (in this context) misbehaving on purpose, too, because he thinks it's pointless. So you have to show him a firm (but very loving) hand.
And the moment he accidentally does something correctly and he receives that praise, he'll just be hooked to get more. Suddenly, unless he really wants punishment, he's constantly hoping to get another smile or more physical affection or a blow job , and so he's trying his upmost to get those by being a good boy :)

Hello! Have a great timing. I am going to do a little weird question... What do you think about Lucien Lachance? I have been doing a lot of research about the path of Sithis and the Night Mother (besides research about Padomay) and I wanted to ask... In the canon Skyrim you see Lucien Lachance as a protector and guardian of the Main character, because he is already in the realm of Sithis thanks to betray. Also an advicer and helper. While in Oblivion, he is literally a mentor and a guide. Someone who initiates people into the cult. There is a posibility to have Lucien Lachance as a guide in the practice? I think of him, when it comes to dark magic, spiritual stuff, terrenal stuff, necromancy, baneful magick, sorcery, deep rooted traumas asociated with betray of brothers, family and good friends. Also with violent things in life. Maybe with defensive protection magick. Also, understanding the shadows, dark aspects of oneself, inner peace, alchemy and the path of Sithis/Night Mother as soul or spiritual companions, Mother/Father. I always felt like an attatchment to him, I play those games since I was a kid and recently I experienced a lot of things in chaos Magic. Like, I am a traditional magician and this is new for me (I owe this path to Loki, the norse god bc). Let me read what you think! Bless life.

I'd say Lucien Lachance is very able to be worked with or worshiped! I work with many more than Gods, even if my TES worship focuses on Gods and Saints. But outside of TES PCP, I do a lot of hero worship as well.
Lucien can be considered as a form of hero worship, in my opinion. He may not necessarily be a "hero" in the traditional sense, but the contents of hero worship would work well with Lucien. Hero worship works quite similarly to God worship, you just revere them as a hero instead of as a God.
Lucien himself would probably be more than happy to help in all the things you think he would be willing to, and if he's not, it's not the end of the world or anything like that. Just reach out like you would to any other entity and ask, y'know?
I've never worked with Lucien directly myself, as of current writing, so I can't share any personal anecdotes or anything about all of that, but I hope my answer is still helpful.

The second ask in question was about whether or not one could have a more social relationship with pop culture gods and spirit guides.
I'd say absolutely certainly - They're just another "flavor" of a spirit guide, basically. They taste of cherry soda comparatively to the lemon-lime soda of a non pop culture entity, but they're both sodas, if that analogy makes any sense?
If you're already comfortable having a social relationship with what you dub "more traditional guides", then you can absolutely continue that relationship type with pop culture entities. However, there's really no pressure to do so. Sometimes the relationships we have with other entities is very different than our usual entities. My relationships vary heavily from entity to entity, especially across my broad sphere of entities.
I also don't think it's disrespectful to have this type of relationship as long as the entity wants it that way. If [xyz] wants to be your grandfatherly figure, then there's nothing wrong treating that entity as your grandfatherly figure.
As well, the ask mentioned a lot of fears of being delusional, I understand very much. However, it's a bit of a complex answer. It really depends on what these entities are to you. I can only speak on my own, so I'll do as such.
I believe more in the "they are fully realized individuals, existing independently of others" idea. Not egregores, not aspects of other deities (such as Hircine being an aspect of Cernunnos, I've seen that one tossed around hence using it as my example), anything of that sort.
So I view them the same I view any other entity, and even when I'm met with doubts, I allow them to soothe me. I ask for signs, I perform readings and interact with them, and they do their best to remind me "I'm here, I'm real, you're not doing anything wrong."
It's normal to doubt these things.
However, it's important to remember that you're doing your best. And the Gods won't be mad at you for falling to a delusion anyways. They know our limitations, they know our struggles, and in my experience, aren't typically prone to punishing people for things that they have no fault in, and being delusional isn't one's fault.
I do find it helps to learn and accept these entities as they are the best you can before stepping further in. Letting them make it clear that "I am [xyz]!" and getting comfortable in that before you make any direct steps forward.
I was both fairly confident in them being pop culture gods, and worried about what if they weren't, so I took a bit of time letting them show me who they truly are, which only affirmed further to me their individuality as Akatosh, or Sithis, or Hermaeus Mora, or whoever, instead of as any other God.
I do hope that you find peace within yourself on this matter, and that you thrive well with the TES Gods and entities.
I do want to note that I do see it fine to see pop culture entities as egregores, or as aspects of other gods, it's just not the way I work all of this, y'know? So I can't speak much on other ways of revering these entities.

tashi loves receiving because it’s another way to claim her power over you, seeing you so eager to please reassures her of your loyalty to her and we all know how she loves a power trip. you’re another thing she can claim, and since she has the opportunity, she’ll capitalize on it. she’ll use you to her benefit if she can. BUT she also enjoys giving because again!!! she has so much power!!! she can play with you she can taunt you she can do anything and she knows you’ll take it and be grateful for what she gives because who wouldn’t be!
but ultimately power bottom energy from tashi in my humble opinion especially post injury married tashi but she is open to switching it up, i can see her being a switch just in general, tashi knows her wants and needs and will always act on them as long as you’re open
a little while ago tourney and i were talking tashi with degradation kink but receiving and im still insane abt that tbh especially i feel like it would go with pre-injury tennis player tashi

hi. I have a question. In BE when Billy started to have a desire (or whatever you call it) for Homelander. before New York and he just didn't realize it (and he still barely realizes it), in the last chapter Homelander thinks exactly that way. or was it born during a close encounter when Homelander was in a cage and remained the only real being for Billy.
GOOD QUESTION and the answer is Complex bc this is a very psychologically dense fic (bc that's the way i like it 😭😭😭😭 i WISH i could just write for two ppl who are simply in love but NOOOO)
ill split the answer in two parts to make it easier for myself ghifgh so:
BILLY'S POV - he was not into homelander at all until he managed to depower him and keep him like a trophy. he still doesn't understand what he feels for him and its a very weird possessive feeling, HL is basically his property but also his responsibility, he made him this way and he is also the only person keeping him alive (it goes beyond just giving him food, he's also the only person keeping kessler from killing him as we've seen in ch8). at the same time, homelander is literally what keeps him sane, he is the only other human interaction he gets (or got...) while he's out there murdering supes. this makes them insanely co-dependent on each other in a very strange way. billy is not ready to admit that he loves him, but is aware that he needs him and that what he has gone too far at points. in general, their love for each other in this fic is mostly discussed in terms of ownership
does billy realize homelander feels the same kind of desire ?? thats an even trickier question but he does notice him get more manageable, while still being the old homelander that he wants to have just for himself (so he's not whipped into submission, he's giving himself over)
HOMELANDER'S POV -- he absolutely thinks billy is obsessed with him and had to have been for a while, because he's very self-centered. also this is the only thing that makes sense for him because he also views love in terms of ownership (i think this is a new thing for billy, but for HL is the most familiar thing in the world). if you look at the way he acts with maeve in the show, someone he admitted he loved "in his own way" -- what he does, is control her. scare her, crowd her in, literally manipulate her life by outing her. and he does that because he cares (and bc he's a shitty person but we all know this). so if billy does this to him, it means he cares and he cares an INSANE amount to blow up a whole fucking city and kill his father to get to this point. that's just how homelander views relationships - in terms of ownership and utility. he was in a relationship with madelyn because they were useful to each other and she basically owned him (and he let her). he was in a relationship with maeve bc he thought they could get each other to the top and have a family together.
in bad ending, he is in a completely different situation, he is no longer of any use to anyone without his powers, there's no point to his life anymore--but billy loves him that way, loves to see the weakness in him and he NEEDS him to stay sane. add in other issues and isolation (another huge point, all of this happens bc they're sooo isolated and only have each other+internal voices to listen to), and homelander is more than eager than to enter another transactional ownership-situationship. he put up a valiant fight, but this is all he knows in the end
a bit of a ramble and idk if i made things any clearer but tl;dr, they were obsessed with each other before new york, just not romantically/sexually, but everything after new york compounded it into something Really Toxic and Weird.

👯: What canon character are you most similar to? oh! that's a fun one..... it kinda depends who hildegarde is around. if he's around nero the answer is 100% nero outwardly. (this is actually healthy for him in a sense since nero's inflated ego means hildegarde gets an inflated ego from being around him. self-love win!! bad news for everyone else, theyre insufferable) you have not met either of those characters yet but hildegarde sees a lot of himself in yotsuyu, & from a meta perspective he is similar to fordola as well. those are stormblood characters !! so you will see them soon!!!!! all three of them were tools of the empire at points in their lives at varying degrees of willingness, but hildegarde has an I'm Evil Person complex so he aligns himself with yotsuyu more since. well. yotsuyu is kind of evil yeah. (women can do anything they want) but especially um. well. let's just say yotsuyu is alive in his timeline bc i can't bear to have it otherwise i really can't & it'll become very clear why when you get to the Part & of course i can't not mention. well. emet. they're not TOO similar especially not on the outside but they are both consumed with grief to an extreme degree. also they both do love theatre im afraid

FUCKKKKK (clutches my head) WELLLL IF IM HONEST IT WOULDNT ACTUALLY CHANGE MUCH I DONT THINK. there would def be interesting metas written about their dynamic & im living proof of it im writing my own metas 😭 read my five billion paragraphs boy. i cant say FOR SURE how it would affect the world because the game isnt finished yet & i cant know for sure what will come of emet until the story is over but i like to like. keep things as close to canon as possible when i tinker with my timeline. emet coming back very intentionally does not change much at all about the story bc i want the story to keep its impact, & him being around & actually doing shit here & there would make things way boring bc he's so stupid powerful... plus i don't think he'd like. do much. unless hildegarde explicitly asked him. & hildegarde does not simply "ask for help". so really it all works out for the game mostly remaining close to what it is canonically. about emet's characterisation though. it would change a little i suppose. more stuff i don't knowww if i can elaborate on fully bc Well The Spoilers but it's less his canon characterisation changing & more me adding onto it at the end of what is already established? like... timeline wise. lol. there's the him the way he was originally, the him he was as a villain, & the him he is after everything is said & done. but to be honest that's just him changing & growing as a person (for better or worse) yknow. normal shit. as for hildegarde. Um. well i dont know i feel like since he's my s/i... he already has the characterisation i give him & i cant dissociate him from my beautiful mind timeline so it's hard to tell lmaoo. the actions he takes ingame (like with dialogue options) are all chosen with my timeline in mind so he probably wouldn't change much

That's a good question! I'm not "answering" it yet bc I feel like I can come up with something later (probably tomorrow) and then write it better than I can right now (bc I'm tired), but as of right now Zoey does not have one.

Some more thoughts below (I accidentally wrote a lot)
Zoey, being the Ultimate Cartoonist...this feels similar to Mahiru's "I take evil pictures (of Junko's atrocities) heheheh" thing.
Though, I could go at it from a more of a "storyteller" thing of crafting stories that give people despair. Maybe Junko and Zoey write depressing comics together about the Ultimate Despair spreading around the world with pointless silly Monokuma short stories sprinkled in (like those segments in the games where Monokuma tells a nothing-story in between chapters. I liked most of those.)
I've thought about how much in common Zoey has with Junko (I never thought I'd say that, but it was something I realized when writing Zoey and Monokuma's interactions), and I think they would be friends in an AU where they were on the same page about both being in despair or being not in despair. Though, when Zoey's not in despair, her stubbornness, intuition, grudge-holding, and hero complex can either make her a manipulatable tool or make her a pain the ass and potential threat who's a few steps away from (accidentally or on purpose, depending on how Zoey feels about Junko) exposing the entire plan by loudly asking questions at the worst possible moment or by refusing to do something she has a "bad gut feeling" about. So, Junko might want to keep Zoey distracted with something else to keep her at a distance until she can be totally mind-controlled.
Not sure yet about how Zoey and Kazuichi would act together in a remnant of despair AU, but I'd like to think that even in darker AUs they would have to meet eventually (which means they'd also fall in love eventually).
An idea I had once (this was before I decided to write Parallel Play in a non-Ultimate Despair AU): Junko met Zoey, they became friends and Junko said she would help get her out of her shell by asking Zoey to find others to start a club together, and Zoey (who was seeking out a space with just one person she could talk with instead of a group)... she found Kazuichi working, and decided to give her a pamphlet to this club...which means that Zoey was the catalyst of Kazuichi getting brainwashed and falling into despair. Zoey learns about this when they get their memories back and feels awful about it, to which Kazuichi tries to comfort her saying that at least it means they both survived the apocalypse (even though they also caused it 💀), and that Kazuichi would rather have met Zoey instead of never meeting her.

i absolutely cannot say i have one ship that i favour over any others for any of my muses. do i have ships that i am occasionally more feral over? yes, absolutely, but that is always down to ongoing discussions, plotting, etc with my ship partner(s), and it doesn't mean another of my ships isn't going to take the Feral Spot in a couple of days.
also, having one favourite is just boring and restricting. going feral over multiple ships is way more fun.
What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?
asides from the obvious themes and tropes which i shouldn't have to list but will anyway (age inappropriate, teacher/student, incest, dub/non-con, a/b/o, etc), i'm fairly open to a lot of things - my only condition is that things have to be discussed. i can't jump into a ship without at least establishing the basics, because i don't auto-ship even if i already enjoy the idea of a ship between those characters.
How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?
as already said above, age inappropriate ships are a big no. minors are only shipped with minors of the same age range and only in a light way, and i refuse to "age up" anyone for the sake of shipping.
but in regards to the adult muses, generally it depends on a few factors. for example: general setting of canon, the species' involved, etc. when you write characters who are thousands of years old, age gaps don't really mean the same thing. in that case, as long as the characters involved are of similar emotional maturity, i'm fine with it.
Are you selective when shipping?
yes, absolutely. i have to be comfortable with the other person (or people, if we're doing poly ships) as well as comfortable with the ship itself, and there has to be chemistry between both muns and muses, otherwise it's... just not going to work. i also want to avoid being 'collected' for shipping, because i actually like to develop deep and complex dynamics with people and not just empty ships based solely on aesthetics.
How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?
if you're going into detail, that's too far. it's really that simple. suggestive elements, insinuations, implied actions, they're all safe. but if you're giving a blow-by-blow (pun intended) explanation of what's going on..... yeah, that needs the tag.
Who are other muses you ship your muse with?
gestures at all of my ships ????? i ship my muses with whoever i end up shipping them with. i don't have expectations for ships, and i actually treasure the ones that spring from absolutely nowhere.
Does one have to ask to ship with you?
yes, absolutely. i don't auto-ship and i need to actually know you want to ship bc i'm not psychic and i won't make assumptions based on "hints" bc i probably won't pick up on them in the first place. be direct. the worst that'll happen is i'll say no.

how often is a weird question tbh. i ship when i ship ??? i do enjoy shipping and developing those bonds, but there's not like... a set pace to how often i like to ship. it's not my focus for writing here. i suppose once i have a ship going, i do like to delve into it as often as possible, whether that's through actual writing or just discussing the dynamic with the relevant people.

of course! i like to be open to all kinds of dynamics! however i am very selective on which dynamics i'll pursue more than one iteration of - they generally have to be different enough from one another that there's no chance of overlap or reusing of elements or ideas, and i won't ever do more than 2-3 of the same combination for that reason. for the most part, a number of my ships are unofficially exclusive in that regard (but not actually exclusive - yet). any ships that are a combination of characters you'd never normally think to throw together generally fall under that category.

neither? i'm not ship obsessed because i'm not here just to write ships, but i do really enjoy writing and developing those dynamics when they come along. so... somewhere in between, i guess??

do you mean Redline? I've never watched that. hm. games that make you feel fast. you'll have to elaborate more tomorrow bc I'm fucking extremely tired (also what platform???) but I'll answer now anyway with whatever comes up
any racing games make you go fast but the feeling of going fast is something else I suppose. since you just said fast and not really mentioned cars in specific, I suppose you wouldn't mind some anti gravity racers too?
F-Zero, WipEout, BallisticNG, Speed Racer (PS2/Wii), GRIP Combat Racing, etc. those are not my kind of thing but they are worth trying
also obvious huge recommendation for Ridge Racer games, for me especially R4 Ridge Racer Type 4 (PS1) and Ridge Racer 2 (PSP) because those games while not super deep or full of stuff for everyone are genuinely Fast Games and they make you FEEL cool. Ridge Racer is great at making you feel stuff because its just some fast racing, some very slidy cars, a banging soundtrack and a narrator whos just really excited to be here. plus in R4's case the aesthetic carries the game so much too. in general just a guaranteed good time
OutRun 2 is a good feel too.
in general I don't know, if you want simple car racing and just want some good fast cars, I don't always know what to say bc it depends way too much on the everything else. I for example don't like Need for Speed very much and have never played Burnout, so I tend to not recommend those for anyone. but like, Test Drive Unlimited is a game I adore yet I dont think speed is necessarily one of the main reasons. Tokyo Xtreme Racer is pretty speed focused but its complex enough that I think it'd put someone new away from it. Gran Turismo is great, but starts really slow. there's a lot of Rally games I like, but Rally is more about focus and patience and practice than just going fast. etc

Reminiscing a lot from her childhood, Luna's fondest memories come from the times she and Amata were younger. Probably one time where Alfonse let Amata stay over for a sleepover, and they secretly stayed up gossiping, reading Grognak the Barbarian, and doing whatever girls do in sleepovers.
That, or simply wandering around the clinic as a younger kid. Right after class, Luna would go back to visit James and Jonas at the clinic. If the day had been slow, she usually asked Jonas to play "Doctor" with her, Jonas being the sick patient and Luna as the best Vault doctor.
15. What is their proudest moment / accomplishment?
Proudest moment... I mean other than finally having the emotional strength to complete Project Purity, and surviving... Luna felt extremely proud of herself for helping Bryan Wilks in Grayditch, and making sure he had a safe place to stay after. She has a soft spot for kids (Child at Heart perk!!), and even though that whole ordeal was a pain in the ass, it's one of the few times Luna ever felt like risking her ass like that was worth it. Luna usually wonders how Bryan is doing whenever she's away, but any time she visits Rivet City, she make sures to stop by and at least say Hi.
16. What is their biggest regret?
I feel like Luna would have a lot of regrets, one of those biggest regrets being Butch related, to say the least (secret for now...) but on a deeper level, her biggest (continuous) regret would be never allowing herself take a break, in every sense of the word. From being a nobody in the Vault to becoming the Wasteland’s hero, she finally felt like she was important—until she realized that, more often than not, she was always sacrificing herself in some way for strangers, or being manipulated into being someone's errand girl. Sometimes, all she really wants is to be anything but the hero, but honestly, she can't help but follow in her dad's footsteps.
23. How do they feel about physical touch / affection?
In all honesty, she loves giving affection (physical or verbal affection). But, receiving it? Mmm maybe not. It really depends. She was fond of it but after her past relationship with Butch (in the Vault), she's been very against the thought of getting vulnerable with anyone like that again. Luna just doesn't really like being touched in general. (Although she is literally touch starved after leaving the Vault.)
26. How would others describe them / their disposition?
In reality, if you asked around, I'm sure everyone would say different things about Luna. You know what they'd say about her in the Vault (A bummer, downer, goody-two shoes, etc, etc.), but in the Wastes? Some would describe her as a hero, or a saint, risen to save the Wasteland. Some would say she's just an emotionless, privileged kid with a hero complex. Others just want her dead. Maybe many would agree she looks depressed, suicidal; a ghost roaming around. However, they would all say she is determined, maybe even a bit stubborn, but with a sense of humanity. And she can live with that.

how do you write characters accurately? and how do you keep your character/oc/reader original and not like basic/stereotypical?
shhh I know those are 2 questions and not 1
this is actually a really good question pair! i’ll use ex and MAG cause she’s the most developed and you interact with her the most. and i’ll break it up so others can scroll cause it’s alot lol
so first, hearing things in their voice helps a lot. when writing matt, frank, billy, foggy, karen, etc i like to reread their dialogue in their voices. lets look at this dialogue (which is from something MAG later on that may or may not release)

when it comes to frank’s delivery, it starts with him worrying about ex she’s been constantly losing people for as long as he’s known her. he puts her ahead of himself because while he’s lost a lot too, he figures she needs comfort more than he does. and then with matt, it’s hard for him to even admit she’s gone so the words don’t even come out at first. then it’s just this confession, all at once and too fast to stop. that, to me, relays that saying it makes it real.
or finding key phrases in their dialect. frank uses “goddamn” for emphasis, says things as questions, leaves off words at the beginning of his sentences (“You ever do that kinda thing?”). matt takes pauses, very passionate and intentful when he talks.
and when it comes to actions, i do kinda cheat bc ill have the episode im writing playing at the same time but i also look at their relationship as a whole. matt is very tactile in general so he’s gonna reach for her or be nearer to her. frank is relatively distant until there’s that kinda peak of emotions. depending on the dynamic you want to create, taking examples of canon reactions can help.
now, as for creating ex, i think she is relatively stereotypical. she’s the black cat to the golden retriever, the grumpy to the sunshine, antihero to the vigilante, frenemies with the other powerful female, cares more than she lets on. i wouldn’t focus on avoiding stereotypes, but finding a combination of the archetypes that fits the personality you want your character to have.
another thing is to let your characters fail. ex wins a lot of fights, but her overall mission of killing fisk didn’t happen in s1 or s3. she doesn’t stop the hand in s2. she loses matt in s2b. she’s betrayed by people left and right; nat, matt, elektra, billy, dex. she doesn’t kill billy either for wcs1. and for someone who’s whole stance is killing people that deserve it or have wronged her, she shows a lot of mercy.
one thing that i thought about ex as im answering this, is perhaps her fatal flaw (i might not be using that right), ex has a tendency to trust too easily (despite her trying to convince herself she doesn’t) which is why she’s always betrayed. she met matt and foggy at a vulnerable time and they showed her basic kindness, boom, instantly loved them. frank showed her respect and didn’t tiptoe around her, which let her be herself and not feel like she had to tread lightly- boom, trusted. she looked matt so she turns to billy, someone she worked with and got along with so she started sleeping with him and actually liked him until he runs it. so then dex, someone who had been by her side and had no inclination to betray her or leave her at the time, later betrays her.
i think it’s not about creating some all new, never before seen, one hundred percent original character as much as creating someone complex and interesting. someone who’s realistic, maybe a little inconsistent. someone who can develop and progress as the story moves forward. i like to think that ex is a very in-depth character that shows clear traits and development, but there’s some things that you can look at and think, ‘she didn’t used to be that way’ like her willingly showing dex mercy. is it bc her old feelings or is it bc he was in matt’s suit or bc she had bigger priorities or bc he couldn’t fight back? i could give an answer but ex is a character that is open to interpretation.

That'd be the NOPE fanfic, which is 3422 words so far. I know, it's not a long thing, but I have bits and pieces for my WIPs before I polish and publish them.

Maybe the Ashley Graydon Masked Apprentice AU? Depending on if I ever write more of it to create chapters.
4. Which WIP is your favourite to write/the most enjoyable to write? Why?
The Trane one is fun because Jane is just so unapologetically mean as a narrator. And she bashes Troy a lot, which is awesome.
5. Which WIP do you find the most intimidating to write? Why?
Probably the bark bark bark one bc I want to match the beauty and darkness of the two pieces of fanart that inspired it. And I want people to read it, I don't want it written off as "oh emi, making hongou and the kurashikis like each other just like you tried to peddle back in 2012, huh?" Like, no - that's not what's happening there. They're working together but Hongou is very much a bastard and very much getting what's coming to him anyway.
6. Which WIP do you experience the most self-doubt about. Why?
See above tbh. And I get nervous about the NOPE fic bc it's a finale of sorts to my series.
7. Which of your WIPs will you seek out a beta/sensitivity reader for? Why?
I don't use betas/sensitivity readers ever, so. None.

I... I don't know. Lots of them feature characters with just a glimpse of a canon personality, so it's unclear how "accurate" they are written.

I like the NOPE fic. It's a sweet piece from Emerald's POV - she gets to talk with Ryder this time. c:

Hard to say tbh. I think they're all about even.

Just putting out thoughts. Aerith's resolution doesn't show she thinks he's in love with her because if she did she wouldn't be surprised that cloud is actually worried about her right at the start of their conversation. Like she just found out that he could actually give a shit about her to begin with. Which is actually pretty sad. Maybe she's referring to the current cloud but... its still kind of dry if his future self was and she reacted this way like it doesn't feel confident at all. But honestly... Without the audience being addressed and just cloud in this instance, why would aerith/ devs feel the need to say "Dont fall in love with me"? It's so out of nowhere... Is it to address the plot or is that mainly to address the plaguing problem of the ltd with the next line that comes after? Aren't there much clearer and better ways to word it out? Like "be careful, discern what is fact or fiction, your life depends on it" or something like that i dunno. Like sure she could be written to sound mysterious but it just ends up making her look awful because this is technically her farewell? Why the heck send coded message than just be more specific and outright with it? It's like she wants him to be confused and for her moment to warn him loose its meaning.
She sounds so unsure of cloud yet so sure at the same time (about it being a lie and impossible reality). There's no indication that soldier cloud was Focusing on her at all, is that something they'll do in rebirth instead? But it's rather misleading and a damper on the build up for cloti and aerti's friendship? I don't think that will end well... I'd hate the unnecessary drama too. There are like more important things to cover in rebirth.
What do you think? Well I suppose wtvr it is, we'll get our answer pretty soon, 6 months to go right? It feels so far away though. PS I hope Tifa's GSD is the only one we can get. Even though I know people would riot.... Just to emphasize its actually canon.
Cloud won't focus on her because he never gives a shit about her. That's part of his guilt complex over her death. He agreed to be a bodyguard then didn't do his job and she died. He puts a lot on himself when things are out of his control. He was the same in bc and cc when he was assigned to guard a scientist and failed.
It's in the material ulti plus that the Aerith in her resolution is from a point in her near future, meaning she's projecting back through the lifestream to talk to Cloud. That means she's dead because she admits in ToTP she can't do that ability consciously since she was a kid because it scared her. You'd think she'd be all "I'm gonna die so save me" but she just gives him some ambiguous bs that confuses him. From her pic she's reached the ah ha point where she understands Cloud is fucked up, but has no idea how much, so is hinting that to him so he doesn't fall for Sephiroth's influence. Because Cloud is stupidly susceptible to Sephiroth and Jenova. In her last moment before death, she's trying to warn him about his fake persona without breaking his fragile mental state, but it's only Tifa who can get through to him because she's the only one he opens his heart to.

uh. i don't even begin to know how to approach answering this question so let's just go with i don't know and fiction is fiction anyway so.

no but you wouldn't be able to tell this from my ao3 at all.
23. is your Blorbo a victim of badly written script / bad plot / character assassination in the hands of canon?
commmmplicated question and canon dependent. because like. i think the movies actually did a phenomenal job with all the pevensies! i think they were incredibly empathetic and resonant in their depiction of susan and her attempts to grow up (i think andrew adamson might be the only person i would've trusted to approach the so-called problem of susan so in that sense it's a bit sad we never got to see tlb but also i Don't Want To See It thanks) and hot take i think they gave peter's character so much more depth and complexity (and all of them actually bc of how they approached prince caspian as a story) than we really see outright in the books.
the books are a great foundation for all this but there's not that same richness and layering as you get from the film portrayals where you can tell people who loved the source material and thought a lot about it put in the work to enrich the existing characters. (excluding dawn treader. i don't want to talk about it.) now within lewis' canon...yeah honestly...? but also maybe no? it's hard. to say. the thing is you see there's not actually that much character to assassinate in many ways and everything with the pevensies feels much more glossed over than badly written, per se, by the events of the last battle.
i feel like with my knowledge of the surrounding context to everything with susan that lewis was saying/writing outside of the text itself, it wasn't reallyyyy badly written but it was perhaps poorly handled and has absolutely been poorly handled and interpreted by many fans for years, and maybe didn't come across as well as it could or should have. sorry i'm like. so tired right now so it's hard to sit here and think hard about what i dislike versus what i think is actually bad. and like some of narnia is bad. there are bad parts. many valid critiques. such as lewis being pretty terrible at writing female characters for the first few books and only in writing the last three (hahb, magician's nephew, tlb) really getting the hang of it, so lucy and especially susan did end up suffering that a bit in earlier works. um. i don't know. i guess yes maybe but also it depends is my final answer. very coherent i know.

severance s2 finale thoughts
spoilers obvi
overall quite good! i lost a tiny bit of hype after last week's episode and this one still had some stuff that made me go hmmm (as in idk if they thought it out) but it also had some very cool shit too!
even if it's a bit out of nowhere (and jame eagan is still generally giving me 'random weird-evil character just made to creep you out') i do really, really like the move to have him interested in helly as his 'heir'. if i was reading it right. seemed like they're setting up for s3 that he will possibly "flip" helly and helena, to make helly active on the outside and become 'his daughter'. which would be very cool and unexpected and also provide a way for Mark to potentially still be around, because it would be like a reverse of the beginning of s2, where helly was brought back bc mark wanted her and lumon needed mark. if jame wants helly happy and he needs to keep (innie) mark around for that (for that matter, also keeping outie-mark or at least his body alive)... that helps answer why mark wouldn't just be killed/disappeared after this finale.
also, the sequence of mark(s) talking to each other was really well done and incredibly acted by adam scott.
and the escape sequence was fun and weird and bizarre and good to watch.
I'm still a little ???? though about a lot of the questions, even the ones they tried to "answer" this episode. still wondering if mark's files correspond to gemma's personalities/rooms, then did dylan, irving, and helly each have a person they were connected to on another floor? or were they literally just there to make mark think he had colleagues and it was normal work? also, still confused of what the ultimate point of all those personalities for gemma was? like it seems to be showing applications for how severance could like, erase bad memories or compartmentalize any painful experience, but why did it seem like every room had to be an entirely new "person" then? lil confused on the mechanics of that.
but mostly I remain baffled about... how the fuck is lumon a successful company. like i understand they have other above-board businesses that give them revenue, but i mean based on how they OPERATE. their most sensitive secret important business has a massive fucking office complex that is mostly empty rooms. they have like 1 security guy and 1 manager on the entire floor. mark was able to walk thru 2 floors covered in blood literally just walking gemma out with no one to stop him because 1 guy was dead and another guy was locked in the bathroom and apparently this mega corporation that kidnaps and imprisons people has ZERO OTHER SECURITY PERSONNEL? not to mention, they don't even have like, remote locks on the doors? of the building where they imprison people? they could just yknow... walk out of the stairwell?
it's the stuff like THAT that i get hung up on more than anything. lumon is all-powerful when it's convenient but completely fucking incompetent when it's convenient.
similar thing with mark's reintegration - he started the process early in the season, it was said to be gradual, but then he had that surgery to take out the chip which sounded like it was supposed to make the process speed up/instantly finish? but then the last two episodes more or less hinged on him... being even less 'reintegrated' than before? zero 'flashes' between innie and outie memories, because suddenly the plot of these episodes was dependent on innie and outie mark being as separate as possible? it makes me wonder why they had him reintegrate in this season AT ALL, or i mean, why do that scary surgery, they could've still gotten away with him doing the early process and having a few 'flashes' but then reghabi had to go for some reason so we would understand why it suddenly stalled, and why outie-mark was pitching it like it was something they 'could' do in the future.
lot of strong & compelling stuff - to be clear I still enjoy the show a lot and am very curious on what s3 will bring. but a handful of things in this season did feel like they weren't fully thought out... OR were there just to be weird & mysterious and then slightly tried to justify themselves (the goats. like, they kinda made it work, i will admit they made it work a little more than i thought they could, but it was still... kind of an awkward way to try to justify/close the loop on what was clearly a scene in s1 that was inserted just to be ~~~~weird~~~~ without a real reason for it).
also like i kinda get why but damn real shame to truly not see irving anymore :( he better be back in s3 somehow. maybe if helly is the new eagan heir she can declare that he must be brought/allowed back too.
