He is far too underrated as a fighter. This man can take you out on land and in the air.

Still not over the fact that Mackie said representation without inclusivity is fetishisation and people got upset. Like i think about this once a day at least.

Right?? And I guess I would have understoor if those people really cared about representation but it's clear they only cared about what Anthony allegedly said about the ship.

And also, I haven't seen any of the people who were sh*tting on Anthony talk about the first canon Gay character in the MCU, Phastos, so allow me to think that representation wasn't their major concerned.

I guess I shouldn't be suprised by this, but I stil am, how people were quick to turn on him was just awful.

Sam wilson being the least favourite character of the falcon and the winter soldier is straight up racism. the entire show is about him and how america perceives him as a black man first and a human being second and not a man who helped fight thanos twice to save the world or the man that steve entrusted the shield with. i love bucky as much as the next guy but this show is all about sam. also Anthony mackie is the best thing that happened to mcu argue with the wall

I agree with your post that insisting a m/m ship must be canon isn't activism and I don't even ship Sam/Bucky. But what Anthony Mackie said def came off as homophobic. He literally referred to queer ships as "twisted" and "convoluted", written by people trying to stay relevant. By that he meant queer people who get zero representation in mainstream media (especially marvel). He doesn't have to support it but referring to that as them exploiting homosexuality is fucked up.

Okay, I had to rein in the frustration to answer TBH, nonny lol... But let me do my earthly best to clarify (and no he wasn't "clumsy" w/ his words, no more than your grands who immigrate here and speak carefully, not always saying the "right" words that you know/click better to you, but you STILL CATCH THEIR MEANINGS are). He's literally saying exactly what he means. Yall are twisting and convoluting a neutral (neutral, in this case, meaning non-romantic) interaction as something else, because it's something you personally want to see. And again people need to interrogate the entitlement in that... I mean I'm old af, but I vaguely remember some really sick drama that went on with the fandom-kids shipping 2 One Direction members like that... to the point where they no longer felt comfortable being affectionate w/ one another... Which even tho they aren't black still fits Anthony's point about normalizing straight male affectionate friendships. Yall can even stifle that w/ your too boisterous shipping. Keep it in fandom, damn! The actors seeing a friendship as the script says, does not make them homophobic, especially in this context, which Anthony explained supports normalizing affection/softness w/ male friends as normal straight masculine trait; something that is EXTRA important for black men who are constantly hyper-masculinized in toxic ways. Twist means "shaping changing" Convolute means "making something more complex" than it is. He was clear (!).... The IRONY in the fact that folk basically convoluted his statement (LOLOL) after he said yall convolute this male friendship into a canon ship and/or interactions meant to be interpreted that way. ...And then he stressed the importance of normalizing straight male affection. Literally, dassit.

I can not tell you how PUMPED I am for this show! I’ve been looking forward to it since they announced the name of the show!

So, I thought it was only right if I drew Bucky and Sam in honour of the show! I might go back and fix some of it later on, but otherwise I am happy with this!
