#my art #Yes this is meant to parallel the Reiju piece and I will be drawing Yonji and Niji next.#those are judge's hands in case it wasn't clear but hopefully the hair does that?#Anyways to chatter about this a little #I just like that the trio are trapped within bodies that are forced to comply to Judge and have no desire to do otherwise #No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.#but it also raises the question what will happen to them when he dies and Ichiji becomes King (presumably)#they've been so sculpted to follow his every word how far can they make it without an outside force commanding them.#could they have been “saved” if they had Sora's exterior voice commanding them to do good? But to what extent does that qualify as good #since it's arguable if they would ever be truly choosing it for themselves #Anyways the Vinsmokes are NOT okay and I hope that gets explored more #I love characters whose moral code begins and ends with “It is my purpose” so I don't like to think they're inherently bad entities #I like to think they're inherently hollow vessels filled with intentions of another person #because that opens a far more interesting conversation about selfhood and accountability.#Very fond of fanfictions where they don't need to gain emotions to learn error #Also fond of fanfictions where Ichiji kisses men. Do you ever think BF and GF get super emotional when he's soft with them? This guy, known for his fuckin' Bite with an attitude developed partially for self-defense, melting at their touch and allowing them to see his more gentle side? Something that nobody else will ever get to see?

The demon and the rapper are nice by default. Boyf can be a bit of a menace and Girlf is not afraid to show her demonic side when necessary, but they're kind to others as a default, maybe even to a fault. Not that Pico doesn't ever show kindness to others, but he's usually prickly and standoffish; his kindness could come off in ways that read almost as passive aggression. And yet, around the two idiots (used affectionately lol) he's like putty in their hands.

Anyways idk what I'm on abt really I just think if you gave him the choice he would literally melt into their embraces. Safe, and protected in their arms; for once, he isn't the one who has to do the protecting. I think the worst part of a hug to him would be having to let go.

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #wen chao #wen zhuliu #Apologies for how much I skipped in the last part of this episode.#I do love the scene of Jiang Cheng regaining his will to live and the ensuing scenes of Wei Wuxian seeing him off at the mountain base.#At the same time I very much want to keep pressing on with the story.#The notes I have are for scenes I did not draw:#I still think a lot about the symbolism of food in both consumption and giving - especially in regards to the Yunmeng Trio.#Prior to JC leaving we see WWX out buying food for him. Something that initially falls through as JC runs back to Lotus Pier.#But here it comes back full circle. WWX gives away a part of himself to be 'consumed' by Jiang Cheng.#It is about being led by desire (JC wanting revenge to losing his will to live to wanting his core back)#and about being bound by duty to do whatever it takes to see those desires through to the end.#JC can't eat until he has his desire to live back. WWX carves out his own ambitions to help another reach theirs.#And it isn't held up as noble! Not even once! He is routinely punished and criticized for this sacrifice.#Being thrown into the burial mounds really is just symbolism for how we can give away every scrap of ourselves to others-#-and find ourselves at rock bottom. Alone.#When you hollow yourself out it just leaves room for something else to fill it. Something worse.
