anyways I just finished rereading BDE by bellelaide (for the 1417th time) and honestly as a massive fan of canon compliant (sort of) I enjoyed the ENT series as it was one of the first fics that got me into stonesford.

Hmm... Okay, I think she would like these

- She'd love Fleabag

- I'm Not Okay With This

- The Queens Gambit

- Everything Now

- Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (her and Becky would have watched this (Becky would have made her) and afterwards Becky would start talking about how much she loves Michael Cera)

- Young Royals (Michael would make her watch it and they would both cry)

- The End of the F***ing World (would binge this in a night)

- Black Mirror (would watch one episode of this about once a month or just really sporadically)

- Moon Knight (I feel like she wouldn't watch a lot of Superhero things and would generally not like Marvel because of how they've changed and a lot of the movies now are just an overload of CGI instead of focusing on the quality of plot, but Nick would have been trying to convince Charlie to watch something Marvel and Tori would have just been there in the room and sort of felt bad, so then when he would have suggested Moon Knight she would have watched it with him and actually really like it)

- I also can imagine Tori, Michael, Charlie and Nick all sitting together in Autumn and watching Gilmore Girls and making fun of it and just making jokes about it and just generally not taking it seriously.

- Nick and Charlie would make her watch Good Omens and consider it a crime that she hasn't watched it yet

I can't really imagine her liking many TV shows to be honest. I feel like she would either just watch a lot of really short shows that she could either binge in a night or a week, or stupidly long ones that just go on forever. I feel like she wouldn't be properly watching the really long ones, and just have it in the background of things or just watch it with Charlie as just another background noise.

Do you think Max stuck with Nancy when everyone was making weapons to try and draw strength and bravery from Nancy?

This is so sad to think about. I wonder if Max know that Nancy crawled over into the upside down looking for Barb. It was before her time but I wonder if it ever came up in conversation. Did Max see Nancy put herself in front of a car Billy was driving full speed? She definitely saw Nancy throw herself into the water to go through that portal after Steve. So like I think it’s really easy to imagine max, who is volunteering to do something insanely dangerous in an attempt to protect others, clinging to Nancy. Also, can’t forget that Nancy’s research is the only reason Max survived the first time. So I imagine on some level she’s trying to reassure herself that Nancy won’t let anything happen to her this time. Nancy’s in charge of the strike team that’s supposed to take out Vecna while Max is distracting him, so seeing her arming up and looking badass, handling the gun like she knows what she’s doing… it would make me feel better. Everyone is playing important parts here, but the plan is very centered on action from Max/Lucas/Nancy (with support and backup from everyone else). And like to some degree this is Nancy’s real chance to save a friend, the thing she couldn’t do for Barb or Fred. So there’s all these layers of trust and sacrifice and responsibility between them. They’re both so strong and mature beyond their years, have been through so much fear and loss… and they’re also both just kids :( and then for Nancy to fail her? To not get there in time, to hear that chime and know that max was waiting for her and she didn’t get there????

For any sydcarmy enjoyers I recommend the tv series Boiling Point! It's basically a sequel to the movie of the same name but it's not necessary to watch the movie first. It feels like it could be an AU sydcarmy fic (fyi tho the main chefs are platonic lol, and actually it's a pretty good example of platonic relationships in the kitchen and only hammers home how not platonic sydcarmy are 😭)

What job do you think snape would get if didn't become a teacher at hogwarts?

My first thought is he'd own an apothecary. He'd be working on his own inventions and traveling a bit to collect ingredients. Maybe he'd publish his work too.

But also, an idea I don't really see brought up, he's very knowledgeable about the Dark Arts as well, so something like an auror or curse breaker is an interesting idea.

Not tryna burden you or anything, just wanted to wish you a good day, and tell you that I admire you and how confident you are with your identity. It's truly heartwarming for me from my little confused bicurious/bisexual demisexual genderfluid place (Ik, it's a lot), because I get confused and sometimes awkward when I doubt on whether what I am or what I'm not. Mostly because it discourages me a bit when I'm talking about my identity and the same friend jumps in and says "but weren't you *this* a few months ago?". She's very insensitive most of the time and questions me about my choices because she thinks I strictly have to have 'had a crush' on someone to be sure. Idk man, I just realized just now that when I was a kid I found Elsa from Frozen prettier than I did with other characters, shut up. I just know, but after being fed with that if I found them attractive (or rather, sexually appealing) then I had a crush on someone, realizing if I liked someone or not was a huge fucking struggle.

Whatever, I'm just ranting by now. Just wanted to thank you because thanks to you I felt like someone understood my situation because I had been wondering why I never had liked someone my whole life. Then I realized, I can, it's just that it takes a bit more than just finding them appealing to the eye for me. You gave me a safe space, where I could laugh and relate (or not, it depends on the context but I still nod and chuckle) to being ace.

Also, I could be asking on my main but I feel embarrassed to say this since we're mutuals and you probably know who I am, but I'm still shy :P

IIIIII have totally let this sit in my asks for quite a while because the stress of the visa process got to me... TwT Sorry it took me so long to respond! (...Tbh I haven't guessed who you are either TwT I'm so sorry, I hope that isn't too hurtful, I'm kinda stupid in that way...)

I feel you though. I'm lucky I myself have such a strong and stubborn sense of self that I can still be like "no I AM this because I know and naysayers can f off" even in times where there's ground for doubt, because it IS genuinely so hard to figure oneself out. First off, people impose on you, from your very childhood, the common denominator that everyone's heterosexual and heteroromantic. Next, and even stronger than that, people impose on you that everyone feels sexual and romantic attraction, and that if anyone likes anything at all, if any person interacts positively with any other at all, if any character shares screentime with any other at all, then it must mean they're romantically/sexually attracted, because that's all it ever can mean. No wonder it's a struggle!

It's an honestly unfair situation to always have to be surrounded by "yeah but"s from people who don't experience your experience yet somehow think they know better. It makes it so that sometimes, all you have to trust is your gut, and that's a tough pill to swallow in a world that tends to erase or disvalue your experience, and in a society where it's encouraged not to be too self-centered and seek other opinions for guidance, for valid reasons. But it's sometimes so tough to find support, that trusting oneself really IS what one needs.

Either way... I consider myself really fortunate in that sense, but I know it's definitely a tough one, and I sincerely wish you the best T^T I'm really glad if I can help, even a little! And please don't let external forces make you lose too much confidence in yourself, as honestly hard as it is at times TwT You're all good as you are and you have every right to be who you are! It sounds so obvious put that way but... Yeah TwT

Idk if Riza really is like that. I guess she does sacrifice her life and energy for others and does not expect or demand anything in return. But I would not say her actions are purely altrustic and selfless either. She's not innocent and her work and goals are largely motivated to sooth her own sense of guilt. Ed even says to her that her self sacrificing is also a form of self gratification. But she sees it as her duty. She literally can't life with herself if she looses the hope of that better future, that in the end everything will be worth it.
