WIP of merch design based on a crab / girl hybrid. Clearly not the conventional mermaid, but I'll count it as an aquatic animal human hybrid. Also working on two other designs I started last year. Unfortunately won't finish before Mermay ends but it's a reoccurring theme I enjoy doing.

Shark Fin Soup, October 2017
It's Inktober and I always tell myself I'm going to try doing the prompts. Alas, I've been busy hunting just about everything: apartments, jobs, roaches. The original sketch was in pen ink and revisiting the idea has brought it a long way from how it looked initially. Er, does it still count? Pftt.

Sketchy junk I do at work because I've been stressed. Bless the people whom have actually reached out to me to help.

Who wants to wear a shirt of a mermaid getting her teeth yanked out? I do?

My Tumblr has been a repository for references since high school. When I drew from my archive, I ended up mourning the loss of many flagged posts; a few of which are my artwork. The worst would have probably been artistic nudity or mild body horror art at best. Blegh, I say. :I
Among many studies here were Colin's hobbit house in England, and Magdalena Frackowiak from John Galliano's Fall show in 2009.

As you can see, I survived yesterday's excitement and made it to work to draw these. Redrawing old ideas because I wasn't too fond of the way I drew them before. I'm a month late with these mermaids, pfft.

Drawing at work when I shouldn't be. Shh... So here's a question I have for artists or people in related fields, that's irrelevant to the picture: Is it worth it to get a degree for scientific illustration? In the field of art, the quality of your portfolio is always a priority over simply having a degree. However, regarding subject matter that would be used for educational purposes and with huge emphasis on the accuracy of anatomical details, would a degree for this actually be beneficial or unnecessary?

Day 3 of the 7 Day Art Challenge: Motherly Love. Drawn partly from reading about Munchausen Syndrome recently, and partly from another poem floating in my head.

I meant to post this yesterday but here's Day 1 of 7 Day Art Challenge. I want to post new work instead of old stuff so expect mostly work doodles. I tag @lamonticus to do the challenge. GIT IT.

Day 2 of 7 Day Art Challenge. So I already failed since I missed a few days. There was no way this was going to be consistent so I guess this is now moreso a "Do 7 Drawings in As Few Days As Possible" challenge. A doodle of my boyfriend and I based on poems that have been floating around in my head. I nominate @jojoflynn to do the challenge.

Doodles I do at work to keep sanity while I awkwardly greet people coming into the department. Ayup-yup.
