Je ne suis pas une lectrice de YA ni forcément de teen movie, mais de temps en temps... j'avoue tout, j'aime bien et cette série est efficace. J'avais craquée pour Lisa et Ryan, et ici avec Tony et Sam c'était tout aussi bon.

C'est un petit bonbon, un retour dans nos séries américaines avec ses lycéens sportifs, les pompom girls, les potes, les soirées, les premiers amours, les jalousies...où tous les sentiments sont exacerbés, où tout prend de l’ampleur et pourtant sans tomber dans le drama.

Une maturité parfois qui nous fait oublier l'âge réel de ces jeunes adultes, on est vite accro et on apprécie autant les dialogues que de les suivre dans leurs balades, leurs cours ou tout simplement en plein rebondissement.

Si vous êtes à la recherche de quelque chose de doux, quelque chose qui donne le sourire et qui nous fait couiner, n'hésitez pas ! C’est sexy et ça fait du bien, une très bonne suite.

Top 10 Sports Romance Novels in my opinion

I am still keeping this blog more positive than I have ever expected. At this point I feel I should promise that I am going to be mean soon, but that day is not today. I decided to give a list of my Top 10 Sports Romance Books.

Before going into this list, I set up a few rules to make the writing of the list easier. First, one of the genres of the novel should be Sports on Goodreads. That rule cut books where the hero is a player, but it is not central to the story (examples include Corrupt by Penelope Douglas and Pretty Reckless by L.J. Shen). The second rule was that only one book from the series can go on the list. Thirdly, only one book per writer can be included in the list. At the end of the list there would be a few honourable mentions that were cut out of the list because rule two and three.

While reading The Score, I was more interested in Sabrina and Tucker's story so I had very high expectations starting The Goal and it didn't disappoint me. I liked it because although they have to deal with a different situation, both of them were strong characters on their own and I believed that if they have to be alone, they would have survived and that is not something that can be said about a lot of characters, but together they are even stronger.

2. The Wall of Winnipeg and Me - Mariana Zapata

I would consider very few books for rereading, because I always worry that the second time would ruin the magic from the first reading, but I have read The Wall of Winnipeg and Me several times and the angst of it always gets me and I always fall more in love with this story after each reading.

1. Hate to Love You - Tijan

Have you read a book that I love so much that when you are almost done with it, you fear that the author would let you down with the ending that you need to stop reading that book and leaving it for months until you have decided that you would be able to handle the let down? That book for me was Hate to Love You and the best thing was that I wasn't let down at the end. Why I liked it so much? I have no idea. The story was a bit different than the usual sports romance, but it was still following the formula. So it was a bit cliche without being too cloche or maybe it was the right book for the right time.

I was honestly surprised with how many american football books I have liked, but maybe that is because there are a lot more books about american football compared to football or hockey. At the end the list only had two football books and zero hockey.

Before you say that I love every book from L.J. Shen, I hated Ruckus, Bane and I have beef with Midnight Blue but that's again a conversation for another day. I am thinking that I am going to give myself a little bit of a break from talking about her books. I promise.

Vous aimez les romances Youg Adult ? Vous cherchez une lecture rapide, légère et rafraîchissante ? Ne cherchez pas plus loin, “Changement d’équipe” sera la lecture idéale.

En effet, ce fut un premier tome vraiment sympa à lire. J’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à me plonger dans cette histoire, sans prise de tête et sans réellement de surprises mais pourtant très prenante.

À tel point, que j’ai trouvé dommage qu’il n’y ait pas eu plus de pages !

J’aurais aimé prolonger le plaisir auprès de Lisa, Ryan et Tony. Ce sont des personnages qui m’ont beaucoup plu, que j’ai trouvé assez matures pour leurs âges (entre 16 & 18 ans) mais qui n’en restent pas moins réalistes pour donner du crédit au récit.

J’ai beaucoup aimé Lisa, que j’ai trouvé pétillante et drôle. Ryan que l’on découvre au fil des pages et auquel on s’attache. Tony qui m’a rendu folle avec son patronyme (Tony Mitchell qui me faisait penser tout au long de ma lecture à la série “Madame est servie” …) et que l’on déteste autant que l’on s’attache.

La relation qu’entretient Lisa avec Tony est belle avec un lien solide qui va être mis à rude épreuve.. Mais la relation que j’ai beaucoup aimé, c’est celle qui se crée sous nos yeux entre Lisa et Ryan. Ils vont apprendre à se connaître, se dévoiler & s’aimer. J’ai d’ailleurs hâte de pouvoir lire le tome suivant qui sera du point de vue de Ryan pour le connaître plus profondément.

L’histoire se lit sans que l’on ne se rende compte du temps passé, c’est mignon et bien construit malgré le fait que le roman soit court. Pendant quelques heures, on prend plaisir à suivre les premiers émois, les premiers doutes et les premiers amours de cette bande d’amis !

Une bien belle première traduction pour Cyplog Éditions qui, je l’espère, ne s’arrêtera pas en si bon chemin. Déjà, je crois les doigts pour que les autres tomes de “Grover Beach” soient traduits rapidement puis je les croise pour qu’ils nous offrent d’autres belles pépites venues d’ailleurs !

Автор все пыталась подпустить интриги, но это у нее совсем не выходило. Трижды она вводила что-то типа «вот это поворот», но каждый раз все было очевидно с самого начала. Я думала, что героиня, которая только и делает, что читает, понравится мне больше всех в этой серии. Но мне, чаще всего, хотелось ее немного поколотить за ее закидоны. Измучила обоих парней. Конец как-то слишком слащав и банален, ну да ладно. Но все же, если хочется отдохнуть и ни о чем не думать, книга как раз для такого состояния.
