this one was the first (really) song i ever made. it was gonna be used in an RPG i was making and that i still have not either finished nor gave up on.

Pharaon Battle

this was gonna be the battle theme for the pharaon, but i won't use it anyways because its missing several important leifmotiefs.

this one was gonna be some kind of magical forest but it ended up sounding like a village. oh well.

-that being said, he is also……..a really light sleeper. its not too uncommon for random noises in the night to startle him awake

-hes sleep schedule depends on alarm clocks. either that or somebody coming over to wake him up on time, if not he probably could sleep longer than tagami does

Welcome to Ellen Million Graphics’ Featured Artist of the Week! Each week, we select an EMG artist and share their work and history. We hope you enjoy getting to see incredible artists this way.

This week, our spotlight turns to illuminate that artist of the charmingly weird and colorful fantastic, Anke Wehner! Anke joins us from Rhineland, Germany where her path to creating art has been largely self-taught. While the school she attended featured compulsory art lessons until Year 10, she only drew for herself as a child. She didn’t pick up art for herself again until she was eighteen and discovered Elfquest. Wendy Pini’s exquisite art drew her in, and the comic captivated Anke; it wasn’t long before she was creating her own fantasy worlds and drawing her own fantasy creatures. Fantasy, nature, and art nouveau largely comprise Anke’s inspirations, with influence from Wendy Pini and Ursula Vernon as well. Anke prefers traditional media over digital, finding it much easier to control a pen than a cursor. She especially enjoys working with markers, reveling in the bright solid colors they can provide. When she’s not drawing, you’re most likely to find her writing or, recently, roleplaying with her tabletop RPG group. You can learn more at her website.

Anke has long shared her creativity with Ellen Million Graphics, participating in Sketch Fests from the early days of the event. She’s contributed over 100 pieces to Sketch Fest, including finished art. You’ll find both playful and stunning sketches in her gallery, from the hilariously literal “Vampire Diaries” and a variety of bizarre owls to lovingly rendered flora and imaginative fauna. Her hundreds of Sketch Fest prompts are a sight to behold as well, challenging artists with “brainweasles” and “flowersickles” and “Do you hoard art supplies? Use something you’ve had lying around for far too long.” She’s also contributed to Portrait Adoption, where you’ll find a particularly Pini-esque elf for your roleplaying needs, and had two stories published in EMG-Zine.
