Menthuthuyoupi (Youpi)

Personality Attraction: Youpi isn’t swayed by appearances or clever words- he respects raw, authentic strength, be it physical or mental. Someone with an unshakable willpower, who stands their ground even in the face of overwhelming danger, intrigues him. He’s drawn to those who refuse to back down.

Behavioral Attraction: Patience is really important with Youpi. Someone who can calmly diffuse his rage without cowering earns his respect. He appreciates someone who teaches him the value of restraint and mindfulness.

Soft Spot: If someone shows kindness to creatures weaker than themselves, like injured animals or even weak Chimera Ants, Youpi might silently admire them, though he wouldn’t fully understand why at first.

Physical Preferences: He doesn’t consciously prioritize appearance but might instinctively gravitate toward someone who exudes strength, whether through a confident stance or a powerful gaze.

Shaiapouf (Pouf)

Personality Attraction: Pouf adores sophistication, intelligence, and poise. He’s enamored by people who carry themselves with dignity and can engage him in deep conversations. Someone with an artistic soul who appreciates beauty and elegance would definitely capture his attention.

Behavioral Attraction: Pouf is easily charmed by loyalty and devotion. Someone who shows unwavering loyalty to their ideals (or to him) would become his obsession. He craves admiration and would love someone who genuinely respects and praises his intellect and vision.

Soft Spot: If someone played music beautifully or created art that moved him, he would be mesmerized, losing himself in admiration for their talent.

Physical Preferences: Pouf values elegance and grace. Delicate movements, refined fashion choices, and an overall ethereal appearance would rope him in.

Neferpitou (Pitou)

Personality Attraction: Pitou is drawn to lively, curious, and playful individuals. Someone who isn’t intimidated by their feline like unpredictability but instead matches their energy with enthusiasm intrigues them.

Behavioral Attraction: Pitou loves someone who can challenge them in games or combat without fear. A playful, daring spirit that brings excitement to their existence would be irresistible.

Soft Spot: If someone shows genuine care for their comrades Pitou would find that endearing. They will not fully understand human empathy but would be drawn to someone with a warm, protective nature.

Physical Preferences: Pitou doesn’t have a specific preference but likes expressive eyes and mischievous smiles. They enjoy physical play, so someone agile and quick on their feet catches their attention more easily.

Izutsumi and Neferupitou are my favorite cat-girl characters ever because their cat features actually make sense through a biological lens, instead of it just being cat ears and tail on a regular person.

Pitou’s “anime cat girl” design has a unique twist based on them being a chimera ant; a hybrid creature that’s made up of multiple different animal and human DNAs that combines them in a way to make them into a whole new unique creature. So it makes sense for pitou to have incomplete cat features (only having cat ears and a tail) and look more like the traditional anime cat girl instead of a more anthropomorphic cat humanoid with full fur (like the cats musical or izutsumi, who I’ll get to in a bit). Pitou isn’t a cat girl, they’re a bug (and nonbinary). They have human skin, insect joints and hands and probably exhibits traits/behaviors of whatever other animal/insect their made up of (which I wish we could have seen). I always thought that was such a cool detail to think about and is why I love their design.

Izutsumi is on the opposite spectrum, where she’s visibly more cat than human due to being solely made up of a cat and human’s soul. Because of this, she looks exactly like what you’d imagine a biologically accurate cat/human hybrid to look like. A humanoid cat covered in fur who can speak like a person yet retains cat-like behavior. Because her human soul was merged with a cat’s, she ends up adopting those cat behaviors (similar to pitou) instead of just being a regular human girl who just happens to have cat ears and a tail and says meow occasionally for jokes. I like how she displays cat behavior you actually see in cats like sleeping in a ball, being independent, a picky eater, etc. I’m saying this cause I haven’t yet seen another cat girl character exhibit these traits.

Both these characters combine their cat and humanoid features in such creative and lore/scientifically accurate ways that gives their designs so much appreciation.
