Easter Break Review (Week 8-10)

Over Easter break I decided to look up some job listings on animationbase to see what kinds of skills are being asked for:

Junior Animator:

I do feel like this is the kind of job I could possibly apply for, I do believe that I have work that demonstrates good animation practice, although I do think it would be beneficial for me to work with some more varied rigs as I currently only have used bipedal rigs,

Junior Rigger:

This is a job that I feel I would need to do some more development work before considering, such as rigging a quadruped and rigging more diverse props.

I also looked into some internships for both a modelling role and a 3D artist, if I wanted to pursue these roles I feel that I need to pick up a sculpting program such as Zbrush and improve my knowledge of UV mapping.

I also looked into possible methods of how to rig the car model for animation, looking into internships made me consider the possibility of sending my finished showcase off to my contact at McLaren to see if there could be an opportunity for me to go back to the studio and gain more insight/experience about the industry coming off the back of doing an automotive project.
