20th Century Fox (1994, HD version)
youtube
I love the look of 1994 20th century fox logo, but it’s fanfare is so overrated.
The 1994 fanfare honestly sounds like I'm in the military rather than an opening to a movie. I mean that fanfare can fit if it was a serious movie like die hard but, not anywhere else. I think that's why 20th re-recorded the fanfare in 1997.

Animated Logo Design: The Secret to a Memorable Brand
Introduction: Why Animated Logo Design Matters
A static logo is essential for brand identity, but in today’s digital world, an animated logo design adds a dynamic edge. Motion-based logos grab attention, make a brand more memorable, and create a lasting impression.
Businesses looking to stand out in a crowded market can benefit from an animated logo. Whether you're a startup or an established brand, adding movement to your logo enhances engagement and strengthens brand recognition.
This guide explores animated logo design, its benefits, and how it compares to iconic logo design, typographic logo design, and illustrative logo design.

What is Animated Logo Design?
An animated logo design is a moving version of a brand’s logo. Instead of remaining static, elements within the logo move, transform, or fade in and out. These animations can be subtle (like a slight shimmer) or complex (like a full-motion sequence).
Why Brands Use Animated Logos
✅ Creates a memorable visual impact ✅ Enhances brand storytelling ✅ Engages users in digital marketing campaigns ✅ Adds professionalism to brand presentations
Businesses use animated logos in videos, websites, social media, and mobile apps to capture attention and improve brand recall.
Types of Animated Logos
Not all animated logos look the same. Depending on your brand style and target audience, different animation styles may work better.
1. Subtle Motion Animation
This involves minimal movement, such as a slight fade-in effect or a slow rotation. It keeps the brand identity intact while adding a modern touch.
2. Morphing Animation
In this style, one part of the logo seamlessly transforms into another. It’s often used in illustrative logo design to showcase creativity.
3. Hand-Drawn Animation
A hand-drawn effect adds a personal, artistic touch. It works well for creative industries, making logos feel more organic and unique.
4. 3D Animation
3D animated logos use depth and movement to create a more immersive experience. These are popular in technology, gaming, and entertainment brands.
Comparing Animated Logos to Other Logo Styles
If you’re considering an animated logo, it helps to understand how it compares to other logo types.
1. Animated Logo Design vs. Iconic Logo Design
An iconic logo design uses simple, recognizable symbols to represent a brand (e.g., Apple’s apple or Nike’s swoosh). While iconic logos are effective for branding, adding animation makes them even more engaging.
2. Animated Logo Design vs. Typographic Logo Design
A typographic logo design focuses on text and fonts rather than imagery. While typography can be powerful, adding animation—such as letters appearing one by one—makes the logo more dynamic.
3. Animated Logo Design vs. Illustrative Logo Design
An illustrative logo design includes detailed drawings or mascots. These logos work well for playful brands, and when animated, they bring characters or elements to life.
Where to Use an Animated Logo
Not every platform supports animated logos, but they shine in certain areas:
✔ Website – Use an animated logo in the header or as a loading screen animation. ✔ social media – GIFs or short animations work well on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. ✔ Video Content – Perfect for branding in YouTube intros and marketing videos. ✔ Mobile Apps – Enhance user experience with a subtle animated logo during app launches.
Best Practices for Animated Logo Design
To ensure your animated logo design is effective, follow these key guidelines:
✅ Keep it simple – Avoid overly complex animations that take too long to play. ✅ Stay on-brand – Maintain your brand’s colors, fonts, and style. ✅ Optimize file size – Large animations can slow down websites and apps. ✅ Test across devices – Ensure your animated logo looks good on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
