Bonus chapter from SOFT : The Nest
Tumblr media
An image from my Murder Drones Sort Of Fairy Tale fanfiction that I'm trying to put as a bonus chapter on AO3. If I can't, here's the description:
Disassembly Drones have many programs that imitate the behavior of certain animals that have disappeared from Earth, mainly to hunt, defend themselves or feed (fauves, birds of prey, bats, etc.)
I decided to incorporate into SOFT an element that I sometimes find in certain fanarts and other Murder Drones stories: the nest.
In short, like a bird, a Disassembly will create a nest to house its mate and their young. An elegantly decorated, comfortable and secure environment, which the Disassembly will watch over very carefully:
Beware of any intruder who gets too close! X)
So here's the nest N made for Uzi not far from the bunker (mixing his and Uzi's tastes), a scene I plan to write in the future ;)

Maxx Doorman (nuzi fankid) ideas:
Her build used to be just a female disassembly drone mold. It bothered her not having feet, so she asked her mom to add worker drone feet to her. Now, she's slightly taller than her dad, N.
Maxx is a biter. The reason why Uzi doesn't say "bite me" anymore (or, at least, as much) is because of her daughter biting her after hearing her say it.
Her favorite animals to look into are hybrid animals such as ligers and tigons. She, also, believes that griffins used to exist before going extinct.
Similarly to griffins, Maxx also believed that the Cheshire Cat is an extinct cat breed.
Much like how N loves dogs (especially golden retrievers), Maxx loves cats or feline-like creatures. She even wears things with cat ears like beanies or headphones.
Her favorite manga is Kenji Sonishi's "Neko Ramen." She also loves Sailor Moon, especially Luna and Artemis.
Maxx's eyes are mainly just her experimenting with her appearance. It was the one thing that stuck to her as she grew older.
Uzi had really matured after becoming a mom. That doesn't mean she's lost her edge, but she acts more like an adult than she did prior to having Maxx.
N still treats Maxx like his little baby, even after she grew up to be taller than him. Uzi tries to make him stop, even if it's really cute seeing him with their daughter.
V is like a secondary mother figure to Maxx. Although Maxx isn't her kid, V's just as protective of her as N and Uzi are. Maxx, also, loves to pounce on her to show her love.
Maxx's tail looks more like a hook rather than a normal disassembly drone's tail because she doesn't use her tail for killing, but more like a fishing hook. Hanging stuff or shorter drones up on her tail are pretty common for her.
Maxx has to have a constant intake of batteries to keep her energy up. She also needs to drink oil regularly. If she forgets to do either, her feral disassembly drone behavior comes out.
Much like Nori and Uzi, Maxx can use her solver powers pretty casually. Sometimes, when she's extremely aggressive, her tendency to harm/kill others becomes an all-time high. Her solver powers can take over her pretty easily in this form.
Khan absolutely loves his granddaughter and tells her everything about doors. Nori had to slowly grow into both her son-in-law and her granddaughter being disassembly drones. It was easier to get used to Maxx being one than N since Maxx is her grandchild.
It gets hard for Maxx to fit into things worker drones have no problems with. This includes doorways, school desks, and just normal chairs in general.
Maxx wants a pet sentinel. Since Nori used to be around sentinels during her time, she'd figure that she could do the same. This has not succeeded yet.
Maxx can carry her mom around (with her arms and her tail) due to how short she is. Uzi grounds her whenever she does so.

Rubigoling, The Rusted Borderling
The Junkyard Dogs
CHARACTERISTICS AND BEHAVIORS
The Rubigolings resemble lanky, wild dogs made of rusted, metallic scraps. A deep red membrane holds their bodies together and are shown in their underbellies, necks, and their second pair of arms. Their eyes work in the same way as headlights on a car.
Jerky and erratic in its movements, the Rubigolings constantly make screeching and scraping sounds while they move. They always anticipate the hunt with their snapping of teeth and the twitching of their claws.
They communicate using droning snarls and growls. They howl with the pack after hunting.
Scavengers, they only prey on the fallen, either by animals, humans, or other Borderlings. They allow the rust to take over their meal first before disassembling them with their claws and teeth. Because of the rust,  they can not escape from the beasts who make themselves known by their ever-growing sounds of scraping metal.
Most of the time, however, they search out and eat discarded metal parts as they wander. Body mass increases gradually, filling out any gaps in their body.
Pack hunters, they are seen in 3 to 4 groups. They wander in places Witnesses rarely go, and rest together as one large pile. Smarter than their appearances, the Rubigolings surround their prey and wait, creating a large circle of rust.
LOCATIONS AND SIGNS OF ACTIVITY
The Rubigolings form inside discarded, rusted metal. They are mostly spotted in junkyards, construction sites, places with low management, and abandoned sites. The amount of metal depends on the size and stability of the Borderling. A Rubigoling assembled with just five pieces of metal won't survive for an hour. The membrane would convulse as it crawls and branches out before shriveling up into brittle, brown twigs. A pile of scraps left for years of rust and erosion are ideal to manifest a complete instance of a Rubigoling.
Rust forms around the Rubigolings, even on organic matter such as human skin and blades of grass. The decay gradually takes over within seconds, spreading as far as 3ft around the Borderlings. The effect resides once the Borderling moves to another location or disappears completely.
INTERACTION AND SAFETY MEASURES
Avoid spaces where rust grows on plants and water with a red, murky hue. This is an indicator of Rubigoling activity, and it's recommended to observe them at a distance of a block away. At night, be sure to stay away from "searchlights" in dark places, as they can be the eyes of actively hunting Rubigolings.

Drone Reproduction Headcanons PART 2!! (NOT NSFW)
Please read this post first if you haven't, it's important for context:
This post is gonna be mainly about Disassembly drones- while I originally said they wouldn't have reproductive functions and they would have to be modified to have a port for the specialized cord to copy data into a pill baby. I've decided to go back on this in favor of a much COOLER idea.
CUCKOO DRONES!!!!!
A cuckoo is a species of bird popularly associated with "brood parasitism". A behavior in the wild where they will lay their eggs in the nests of other birds to raise their young for them. (just birds as an example, this does happen in other species)
Disassembly drones still don't have their own infant forms.. so they have to steal babies from worker drones, whether already activated or not doesn't matter. They inject a code into the UNN(Untrained Neural Network) that replaces the template for what they're supposed to grow up into with a disassembly drone template.
The new parent disassembly drone can choose to keep the child and raise it themselves or.. leave the child with the worker drone colony to raise it for them. (this'll be what the rest of this is about)
To prevent the child from being kicked out by the colony too early, they will look practically identical to a worker drone(minor differences) in their early stages. It won't be until their late teens that they begin to present disassembly drone features, and start to intensely crave oil.
This will lead to them killing the worker drones and they won't leave until the entire colony is dead.
- - - - - - - - - - -
At least that is the premise, of course at times the child may develop morality and resist murdering what they've come to know as their family.. but unfortunately this effort will usually lead to their death from core overheat(unless they can find a compromise). Sometimes the parent disassembly drone may return in search of the child after they become a certain age. Revealing their parentage and attempting to persuade them into killing the workers and coming with them.
Cuckoo drones do have some differences from normal disassembly drones. For one they wouldn't have a name like "Serial Designation (letter)", no yellow armband either, and they wouldn't have any programmed-in role because they don't have a squad.
By the way, cuckoo drones who were altered *after* activation are still very much related to their worker drone parents and still inherit their traits! The parent disassembly drone only changed them so they grow up into a DD instead of a worker. This means the cuckoo can have any colored lights derived from their parents.
Cuckoos who were altered before activation simply inherit traits exclusively from their parent DD (basically a clone cuz they don't require 2 DDs).
- - - - - - - - - - -
Well, I think that's all I have to say. I really need to just make a list of Disassembly Drone headcanons because I just LOVE coming up with the workings of a fictional species- I know they're robots but, let's be honest.. they're animals in a robot shell lol.
I wanted to share this immediately because I think it would make an AWESOME OC concept. So ABSOLUTELY feel free to use this for your OCs, I haven't seen anyone else make something like this.
Please tag me on you cuckoo drone OCs, I would LOVE to see them!! :333 (you don't have to of course)

a collection of obscure murder drones headcanons and thoughts before i forget them:
(some of these are very obviously speculative or possibly debunked but i just think they’re neat)
worker drones have more insect symbolism and behavior while dissassembly drones act more like wild animals, specifically carnivorous or cat-like (classic predator and prey) Nature repeats itself even if its through manmade robots, it would seem
worker drones, after humans kicked the bucket, continue to develop and update based on their initial software as some sort of survival instinct (not including the absolute solver), in order to keep on going. i imagine their software would have to heavily adapt to frequently creating little pill babies with their code, and maybe even certain instincts to protect themselves from murder drones
dissassembly drones can sometimes have different body builds based on status: lither bodies and less complicated outfits for squad members and more sophisticated getup and thicker / taller body mass for squad leaders, or maybe just specifically for pilots like N. (it could very well be a gender thing but i just think this idea is cooler!)
lil developing drones pick out their hard hats and what color they want when they’re old enough to be built a head, and once you have it built in and melded to your robot skull there’s no changing it. so Uzi partially wears a beanie because she hates the color of hers and wants to cover it up to uphold her emo phase aesthetic
drones don’t wear pants because… well they tried when first integrating themselves into a society, but because of how flat their bodies are built, they just slide right off. Maybe they could modify fabric or come up with some gadget to make them fit, but maybe it’s just not worth the trouble. (moreso, for an embarrassingly long time i thought the fuzz underneath Uzi’s hoodie was a skirt, but no it’s just the bottom of her hoodie… and i was wondering why literally no other drone in the show wore any fuckin pants)
before she rebooted as a zombie drone, little maid Cyn had the exact same personality as the solver acted out in episode 5 (just without the eltrich horror and glados voice attached) and just used it to blend in
i like to think there are a bunch more disassembly drones that the solver has under its belt that are scattered all over the other parts of Copper-9, scrounging other colonies and just waiting to appear in the big final fight or whatever the solver has planned up for the finale… the whole alphabet squad pulling up
branching off of this one, when serial designation bots run out of letters they cycle through them again, imagine N face to face with another DD and they have the same name and V just kills his proclaimed brother in front of his eyes traumatizing him forever

I have seen that! Tho it's more birb.
I love it, genuinely, it makes me laugh.

The Murder Drones brain worms got me in a chokehold rn
Anyway, I got thinking about the Solver again. Ever since Episode 2, it's been established that the Solver is capable of creating flesh out of seemingly nothing. And we also know since Episode 1 that Disassembly Drones (as well as Workers with the Solver) can regenerate any wounds inflicted on them as long as there's sufficient material for it to use.
The latter seems to imply that it's still abiding by the Laws of the Conservation of Matter - matter cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. Makes sense; it took the materials in the area and transformed them into new body parts to repair damage. Nothing was created or destroyed in that regard. But then what about the flesh?
Episode 7 gave some interesting implications regarding that. We got to see a flashback where the Disassembly Drones were deployed to hunt down and devour humanity, even getting a little scene of V ripping off and swallowing some poor sap's arm and N drinking the blood out of some dude's neck. But here's the thing about that: those two particular humans that were explicitly shown being eaten obviously weren't the only ones that were killed and eaten by them. Much like with all living things, there's only so much room for food inside the body, which also applies to the Drones. Since they're robots, they obviously can't digest it or go shit it out later when they get full like a human or animal can, so where did all the blood and flesh they ate go?
In Episode 2, we see J's core teleport away in a black hole after N stabs it several times with his tail. We've also seen other instances of the Solver being able to teleport or open black holes/wormholes. We also know that all Disassembly Drones have a core like that inside of their bodies. Both Episode 2 and Episode 7 confirmed that the cores can act independently from its host body and still possess Solver abilities. So my theory is that their cores were teleporting the flesh and blood somewhere as it entered the Drones' bodies. Where exactly? It's hard to say, but likely to wherever the source of the Solver is. No, not Cyn, but whatever it was that originally possessed her. She was Patient Zero, but the Solver clearly existed before she woke up in the dumpster. Whatever its source is, that's likely where everything went. If it's still abiding by that scientific law mentioned before, then it explains how it's seemingly able to create it out of nothing - it's not; it's basically moving it from one place to another through use of wormhole magic when its powers are invoked. This also explains how the Disassembly Drones were able to consume what seemed to be an infinite amount of humans without them ever getting full.
(We know its very existence and its other behaviors still break several scientific laws, so this might be a moot point, but it's still interesting to think about!)
It also gives some more interesting implications to Cyn's comment about being hungry before jumping into the giant flesh pit to the center of the planet. Maybe the stuff was being teleported directly to the entity's stomach? And if that's the case, then that's maybe why the portals it makes are so fleshy? It's basically ripping a hole into the entity's stomach that's already full of flesh and blood from its previous kills.
Also as a side note, Episode 1 established that Disassembly Drones require them to drink oil every so often to keep from overheating - a symptom that also exists in Worker Drones with the Solver. We saw in Episode 4 that when Uzi used her Solver powers too much, she began to overheat and go a bit crazy until she was able to consume some oil. What if the Solver entity itself has something similar going on? We don't know what it's doing behind the scenes, after all. What if it's like those Drones, where it needs to consume blood and flesh to keep up its energy, much like how they need oil? If that's the case, Cyn's remark likely implies that it's used up a shit-ton of energy on something, which does not bode well for the future of Copper-9 or its inhabitants... (Or any other planets/exo-planets in that universe, for that matter.)
I'm probably over-analyzing stuff again, but still think it's interesting. lmao

Out of curiosity would Uzi gain the silly more animalistic Disassembly Drone behavior after the events of ep4?
I'm just imagining the initial panic of losing her more esc human behavior to what are basically animal instincts and the identity crisis that would come with forgetting how to read worker drone body language
And then the acceptance of her realizing 1: she can communicate better with N now. And 2:GREMLIN MOOODDEEE!1!1
Also bonus points is she gains bat behavior as well-
YES YES YES she absolutely does. N is able to read her body language a lot better because it because more like a Disassembly Drone’s.
also yes. bat behavior. i donr know bat behavior very well besides biting and shrieking which i guess Uzi does anyways-

Idea: Whenever X is feeling really distressed, either from present events or old trauma, she acts more instinctual than normal. The more instinctual she acts, the more upset she is, and the less aware she becomes.
When it's mild she'll just act more cat-like, hold her children closer without thinking, be more alert for enemies. Nothing too strange.
At the worst moments, she's down on all fours. She snaps at everyone who isn't her brood or a child. She can't speak, she only growls and hisses and roars.
Everyone quickly learns to recognize the behaviors. They're never afraid of X, although they are cautious. They're always worried about her when she gets like this; they know why it happens.
They spend however long it takes to help her center herself. Let her know that she's safe, that they're all safe, even if things are truthfully bad now they are ok at the moment.
X always feels embarrassed after she recovers; she should be better than a mindless animal. Her family make it clear that there is nothing to be ashamed about.
The disassembly and assassination drones are more familiar with this side of X, since they grew up with her watching over them. They would always complain when she’d gather them under her arms and wings for protection, but X would often wake up with them huddled up next to her or draped over her like wet laundry. They complain, but deep down, they do see X as a guardian. She’s the only one they’ve ever had, after all.
Sometimes X’s speech and moments of animalistic behavior merge, so her voice carries a low growl or hiss to it, and she’ll snap at anyone regardless of what mode she’s in if she feels they deserve it. The scientists had to separate her from the assassination drones while she was asleep just to avoid an possible staff casualties.
The assassination drones were more scared of this side of her because they were programmed to be more like humans; meticulous, precise and more keen towards strategy, but the disassembly drones aren’t really bothered because they’re a perfect mix of both human and animal programming.
S, R and Q have this behavioral quirk as well.

                                               `
 1.Equipment.
             Materials
Pollen and air particle identification system
           Vacu- pipette sample auto distributor.
Remote microscope photography/videography and sample purge.
           Remote tissue biopsy darts
           Vital signs registry implant
           Walk thru 2door Airlock
 Discussion
Each interaction with exogenous material will be recorded from each perspective of active crew. Staff showing signs of distress will have video tabulated and assembled as to build an evidence log of their symptoms. When a staff does collect  exogenous materials they will be disassembled in the survey craft. The exploratory craft, quarantine cellblock, and walk thru airlocks will have redundant lab materials
If lifeforms were found, a donor will be selected in capture or free range to be shot with a biopsy dart. The biopsy dart will be retracted by a strong magnet on a flight drone. If a small study station will be constructed on the planet, all life forms will be mandated to receive an RFID chip.
Disassembling samples will be done by an automated arm/laser assembly. Inactive samples will be put under microscope and saved at 500k dpi. The samples themselves might be stored or expelled. Active samples colonies such as lake water, exogenous plant cells, alien blood will be put in a petri dish. The petridish will be fed into a Vacu-Pipette Auto- Distributor (VPAD).
The role of VPAD is to separate all similar life forms into individual andcataloged containers. Additionally, groups of organism types will be divided into multiple combinations. If there are 4 varieties of organism in a sample, VPAD will choose among organism A,B,C,D and put concentrations of only organism A&D,C&B,A&C,B&D,A&B,C&D together. Changes in behavior and sample chemistry will be recorded. If a sample containing all organisms is docile, separating them might trigger one organism's wastes to activate anotherorganism's protective defenses. Smaller concentrations or symbiotic relationships might not distinguish one organism's metabolic activity without the accumulation  of biproducts . Microclimates in an (aquatic) environment must be considered.
Pollen and airparticle identification should be completed in the Pre-Survey and Survey phases. All exploratory crew must wear helmets even when the atmosphere is reported breathable. Crew will accomplish only tasks on the schedule and not venture into open ended tours.  These are the pre survey , and survey craft roles. Inclusive of Vacupipette and living air particles; all samples will be recorded in various tests for their reactivity and then ejected. No living organism must board a rescue craft outside the atmosphere.
  2.Ship Design
           Airlocks:
                       Airlocks are of two types:
                                   Hull Edge
                                   Low level Central Walkthru:
Hull edge airlocks are well documented in science fiction movies they allow exit into space or docking to larger stations or to home planet space/ airports/ hangers.
Low Level Central WalkThru Airlocks are located on the lowest level of  a spacecraft. When in inactive position, staff/crew may walk through the      airlock and the two sets of doors on each side of the airlock. The airlock is connected to an arm on its roof. When activated, the airlock will close one    or both door pairs sealing the ship air away from its own. The Airlock may be used to capture free roaming contaminations or hostile piracy constituents. When the airlock is sealed on both sides; with the hostile agent trapped inside; the connect arm lowers the airlock out of the hull of  the ship, rotates 90degrees horizontally, and its contents are set free to freeze in the void of space.   The arm may also opt to release the airlock, remaining sealed, as to be picked up at another time. A beacon will be activated. View ports or cameras will enable passing ships to see its contents per  'tune in' signal
              Capture drones
             Capture Equipment
             Region Locks.
The most famous scene of an alien serpent bursting out of  a crew's chest cavity is Ridley Scott's 1979 Alien movie. The contamination  that resulted could have easily be stopped if the crew knew to seal off the dining hall from the remainder of the ship. Ducts and electric shafts were also far too numerous and far too available to floor level. A crew must be ready at all times to seal a region of ship if a contamination occurs. If the first officer is injured, the second officer hits a single button offered in redundancy all around the room. If the second officer is injured, the third officer or those nearest the region lock button should know without instruction to seal the area.
At such time, the crew take no delay to abandon the victim and    immediately inoculate the threat. In times of greater technology, a  surgical bot on a track could enter the area, contain both victim and parasite and attend to both in an airlock. At this time we have technology that  could sent a "Roomba-type" floor robot (of larger stature) to corner the alien and sweep it up.
Staff confidence in  handling aggressive creatures like Brown snake, Philippine Cobra, and Tiger snake is mandatory. At this time  technology also exists for realistic simulations and materials to resist envenomation. Spiders and snakes are among the most feared creatures so similarly constructed creatures off  planet are likely to cause anxiety  that impairs optimal problem solving performance, If it has a mouth: duct tape it shut. If it has a stinger, chop it off. Materials like Kevlar could be fashioned in multiple layer gloves. Crew drills on parasite capture are necessary all year long.
             Contagion recovery Team Drones.
Not all disasters and infestations can be forseen. For creatures smaller than 7ft tall/long, a drone team of a containment bot and a capture bot are piloted by the staff through the ship. Unless there is some reason the creature cannot be damaged, determine its source of intelligence and "crush its head". The capture bot will have a small profile to fit into any duct work yet heavy enough not to be offset by a thrashing hostile creature. On an easy schedule capture the capture bot grasps the creature at the front and rear, gives it a good crush and places it in the containment bot. A containment bot will self seal and report promptly to the nearest  hull airlock. The containment bot will disengage from its container, exit the airlock and flush. Once the operational plan is complete the containment bot will furnish the crew with an uploaded analysis of the creature's goop
On a difficult capture of a creature, the capture bot will alert the server it intends to 'bolt down the contamination". Capture bots will one at a time clamp onto the creature, exit their bases from the area. The ship's computer will initiate a strong magnetic pulse specific to the capture bot limbs that draw the 'intrusive species' to a particular wall. A larger capture bot will enter the area, seal itself against the wall around the intruder. The main computer will allow the wall skin to detach with the capture bot. and the entirety of bot, wall and intruder will report to the nearest hull airlock. The airlock will open, the creature will be released, the wall will be magnetically retrieved ,and the system reset.
I find the magnetic apprehension and  unmanned vessels to be applicable methods of containment also on Earth bases. If the samples are breaching containment and  of air circulation risk, its vessel may be insulated inside a magnetically active liquid metal bath/ nano electroplating to confine its movement. Should the species not be able of electroplating, it will certainly be electrocuted.
3.Pre-Survey, Surveillance, and Exploration of Unexplored Planets
Craft with the express purpose of rescue and investigation of distress signals may respond to unknown distress signals. All other craft will be forbidden predisposing ill suited missions from extraneous risks they were not designed for.  In the case a rescue craft is met with a rescue signal, they must proceed first as a military envoy, second as an ambulation team, and thirdly as an exploratory survey. If crew attempt to override mission roles they will be stripped of rank and apprehended/tranquilized/executed if furthering their effort.
 PRESURVEY:
If the planet or region has never been explored, sample drones aboard an unmanned craft will be piloted to the surface.  Such delivery craft should be temporary and expendable. The sample drones may eject from its delivery ship when low enough in the atmosphere.
Roles: 1;Video collection and identification of repeated types
of species, vegetation, rock types and general formal
                          composition of the landing areas.
2.Species evaluation: air evaluation, pollen filter collection,
pollen microbe sample tubules with human, fish, aviary , viral
and bacteria samples as to test reactivity. Species evaluation
drones should be of hovering and terrestrial  motion as to
purposely disturb the environment so passive
                        characters  can be triggered.
3.Rescue region survey. A particular unmanned craft seeks the
feature of the exploration and suitable region to land a craft if
                           necessary.
SURVEY
An unmanned craft departs the ship and sets down upon the planet. In the time from presurvey to survey phases new forms of life expose themselves or the presurvey mission was attacked, the unmanned ship will be monitoring the ground for nefarious characters with visual, thermal and other sensors. The unmanned  survey craft will be weaponized.  The role of the weaponized function is to clear  hostile natives from the area of expected touch down or extraction.
A rescue attempt will rely on a hover drone to find the crew members and land the survey ship as nearby as possible in a coordinated fashion. If the beacon is found to be a hoax, an addition explosives drone type will set charges and demolish the signal source.
Should rescued persons be able to board the survey craft, their containment will be in a fixed region of the craft that docks outside the main vessel and deposites the containment vessel to a quarantine area separate from the ship. It is the crews duty among the rescued to assure injured persons are put on the stretcher for medlab. Elsewise a terrestrial drone will do such labors. If the rescue crew is combative, they will be tranquilized and immediately set in hypersleep in the  trailing quarantine "cellblock".   People aboard the quarantine cellblock will have no physical contact with the rescue crew. Each will be asked report to a hypersleep tube to be individually interviewed.
  EXPLORATION
Retreat policies from hostile inhabited planets
In a case of immediate retraction from an area, an injured crew  member            may only be retrieved if movement is TOWARD the rescue craft. Undue            delay predisposes other crew to contamination, injury or death.Staff are forbidden to rescue another crew member if the injury is other  than  physical and contained inside the suit.
Rescue of Victims by unmanned craft
A victim on a planet surface is to retrieved by a drone or craft isolating their body and the containment cell of their body from the pilot. The containment cell will have an automated surgical station and care unit to  initiate first aid and contain any unknown organisms. The medlab must be activated  and sealed. A sealed medlab may not be opened earlier than 6 hours.
Each medlab will have two sections and be ejectable from the exploration and survey vessels. Should more members of the crew be   injured, the medlab will seal the first victim in stasis, seal the entry to the entire facility, and open the inner medlab door so they can be treated. The capacity for three patients should be alotted. The only time the medlab will not open for additional patients beyond 1 is that contagion is  loose or airborne.
Rescue of Casualties by unmanned craft
A death of crew shall be deemed an immediate contagionThey will be                  frozen immediately in a containment tube and dissected in the                            quarantine cellblock medlab by remote surgeon link.
 Quarantine Cellblocks
Quarantine Cellblocks and hulls of outer atmosphere ships shall not ever pass into foreign atmosphere space. If such an event happens, they may not return to Earth Atmosphere without thorough hull scrub and due measures effectively 'sterilizing' the hull of contaminants.
 Colonizing
On planets considered devoid of life after 4 separate surveys in a span of 150years, NASA may opt to colonize those planets with species of any type believed to flourish best in its environment. Mammals and limbed creatures would need a predatory tree of inhabitants. For this case I call the ' ancient astronaut  theory' misguided. Its infact our role to colonize a planet with our own microbes, spores, viruses, bacteria to fester an evolutionary chain to unfold.  A planet like Venus who's climate is outright hostile to mammals, may be the appropriate haven for a bacteria to benefit in pH friendly zones.
  Eco Tree
The importance of our eco tree is so vast that all movies presuming spaceships would only transport humans are foolish and self centered. The Earth's eco tree is as important to us as sapiens must be to it. Its sustainance is our important  task. The eco tree is our medicine chest. Should a ship become infested, its not  only humans gene lines that risk mutation. Preserving the eco tree will be a goal of most  all starcraft and this is why missions must not be quickly detoured for blind altruism.
I must remind all of you that after some time in space, all travelers  are a form of mutation. Radiation is always hitting them. It would not be unreasonable for adaptations toward amphibian/ reptilian protections to occur such as skin scales and hermaphrodism. The show American Dad with a character Roger is quite on point to have a gay'ish/ efeminent voice and manner. Lack of gravity could cause other vital organ systems to change in efficiency of energy. An astronaut simply returning to earth might be radiated enough to cause a mutation from procreation even if it wasn't noticed by testing. The change in his families gene line could be as invisible as an undocumented chimeric pattern.
By these statements my qualifications are many. There are application advantages for molecular biologists, chemists, and geneticists. Since there are lifeforms they have never seen nor understand physiological makeup, their expertise is rather moot except for comparisons and lexicon. I hope you will recognize my trained values in Physiology and Gender Anthropology.. In parts Psychology, have their own merited elitism among those fields named. All conditions for mitigating my qualification I call to be beneath the needs of NASA. A mission cannot be completed in tuxedos. The people that want to work it must be dependable of their own accord. As of this letter , I already have worked toward the needs and safety of our public.
