I think the key difference between Fitz and Keefe’s trauma responses is that Fitz is aware and ashamed of how his behavior affects those around him, while Keefe fully believes he is only being self-destructive when in fact his behavior is equally if not more destructive to those around him.

something that rlly annoys me is shannon being both aware of the fate of the "tech guy" character and then proceeding to do exactly that to dex lmao. like he LITERALLY says he doesn't want to be a technopath because he's going to be excluded from the action. how he's afraid he'll only be relevant when he's useful. and then!! thats exactly what happens in the plot!!

after fitz cools off a little bit about sophie and keefe being a thing, he should drop tidbits about keefe (mostly during trust exercises) that he thinks she might find helpful since they're dating.

the thing is, instead of just stuff like, 'keefe loves frogs, so he might appreciate a gift or trip related to them, idk' he also drops things like 'btw if you just hold his hand in your hands - specifically towards the back of his head, just behind his ears - while you're talking to him, he'll probably melt haha. also his scalp is sensitive, do with that what you will, but make sure you're gentle'.

bonus points if sophie asks keefe about why every single tidbit fitz gives is correct and he goes tomato red for the first time ever and sputters out something like 'i gave fitz the lord of the snuggles title based on personal experience - he's clingy when he's tired, ok?'

Okay guys I was debating making a post about it but I’m just going to make a short one with just the root of the point

You’re allowed to criticize media you enjoy, especially the writing itself, but if there’s something about the content of the story being told that isn’t your thing, that’s not an objective issue with the author

If you’re reading KOTLC and you really dislike sokeefe, you can either keep reading for the other stuff in the story that you like, or you can stop reading because it really ruins it for you, but what you really shouldn’t do is act like Shannon’s done something wrong by writing sokeefe into the story she wants to tell, I mean that’s actually pretty disrespectful to the author. You don’t have to LIKE her story, but she’s not objectively doing something wrong just because it isn’t the choice you would have made

For example: if Shannon made sophitz canon that would definitely not be my thing. However I would keep reading kotlc for my enjoyment of the story she was telling. I would not come into tumblr and start picking out every issue with their relationship, calling it terribly unhealthy (unhealthy dynamics can be storytelling devices btw) and saying therefore Shannon has made an objectively wrong decision that ruins her own story. That would just be disrespectful, not just to other shippers but to Shannon herself!!

That’s all I’m gonna say unless someone miraculously misses the entire point of this post to a terrible degree

Kotlc and the inherent tragedy of siblings, and the way siblings define one's identity. Dex being the baby of the friend group while also being the tragic older sibling. Fitz being the older "responsible" one while also having a tragic older sibling. Sophie having a sister she's never met and another she lived with for nine years and yet being a sibling isn't a part of her identity and she and Amy are still tragic. Biana being defined by her brothers and yet being more of her own person than either of them while being the youngest. Juline and Edaline staying friends as adults and being defined as mothers and wives more than siblings or aunts, and who don't even share a last name anymore. Kesler being let down by society, and who was probably let down just as much by five older siblings. Tam and Linh who couldn't escape bad luck but at least they never lost eachother, until they did.

Stina's biggest weakness on Team V is her commitment to the bit

Sophie would lie and say Stina is her sister for whatever reason and Stina would commit to the bit with her entire soul. Yeah of course they're sisters can't you tell, they look alike🤨🤨? They literally share a birthday what do you mean they're not sisters???? Sophie's short because Stina sat on her in the womb, duh, moron🙄

Biana would say they have to break into a government building and Stina will object until the very end but the second they have to do any work Stina already has blueprints, guard schedules and routes, the janitor is passed out(that was Dex's idea Stina suggested throwing them off a bridge so she wouldn't have to deal with them)

(Also she bullies Wylie but that's another issue entirely)
