My players consist of

Vymir: Foreclaimer, Wildfire Druid

Tyelca: Tiefling of Levistus, Sorcerer

Pom: Firbolg, Rogue

Naivara: Shadar-kai Elf, Cleric

Anhelor: Human, Fighter

I ran through a werewolf hunt opener, which led them into the Misty Woods (where we’ve set Barovia to “be”) where they found another werewolf standing over the corpses of a few people. They tried to kill it but ended up chasing it off and noticing that there was some weird illusory magic coming off of it. The werewolf they were looking for was felled by this unknown one, and was hidden behind a tree. While trying to return to the Dragonback Inn, the mists swallowed them and they arrived in Barovia.

They entered the Death House as the mists closed in, and currently are in the basement. They actively avoided Walter on the third floor and I think that room was the only one not touched. They found Strahd’s note in the study but didn’t pick it up unfortunately. We play again tonight and I eagerly await them entering the village of Barovia.

Each of my players has a big secret and a tie-in to something in Barovia, whether they know it or not. I’ve taken artistic liberties with how the Mists and the barriers of the Shadowfell work, which at first I went “but technically this wouldn’t work” and then I went “but I’m the DM so this is My City Now™”.

currently having a severe werewolf phase. still need to design the other werewolf but drawing her is too fun... Was going for a Anatomically Feasible but still freaky/unnatural look and im pretty happy with how she looks. Urist likes Anhelor for her long neck and ugly paws
