A Mischievous Fairy
˚˖′.⊹ ࣪ ˖˚·˖*.⊹ ࣪ ˖˚·˖′.⊹ ࣪ ˖˚·˖*.⊹ ࣪ ˖˚·˚˖′.⊹ ࣪ ˖˚·˖*.⊹
When a humble farmer decided to live on the outskirts of town right next to the forest he did not expect to make friends with a small temperamental creature from the forest.
It was a pretty good deal you had going on, you help his plants grow with fairy magic and he gives you a safe warm place to sleep and home cooked meals. Most days are spent with you doing your best to annoy the poor farmer as he tries to remind himself that you're the reason his produce sells for such high prices.
You fly around his head making little jingle noises and he tries to ignore you and go on with his work. You steal little things like spoons, screwdrivers, pencils and put them in places he can't reach like on top of the cabinets and shelves. When you get mad at him you grow weeds in his crops until he apologizes or gives you a gift to your liking. Despite this the farmer has grown to truly enjoy your company...for the most part.
His loneliness is getting to him and he's tried to have company over but it's kind of hard to explain to guests why there's a little, scantily clad fairy staring daggers at them the whole time. It definitely ruins the mood as he tries to convince them you won't bite (you will and you have).
One day the farmer comes home from town looking more excited than usual. You plop yourself on his head as he walks around his little cottage.
As he sorts through all the items he bought you get impatient and decide he's not paying enough attention to you. You fly right in front of his face and pose for him, showing off the new outfit you made out of flower petals in his garden.
"Not right now, Tiny."
The farmer rolls his eyes and gently shoos you away with his hand, focusing back onto his apparently very interesting haul from the market. The very rude gesture gets you all fired up and you're in his face again this time with your hands on your hips and an angry expression. The farmer sighs and gently cradles your tiny body in his hands.
"Look, I'm busy. Alright?"
He walks over to the windowsill and gently plops you down onto the little pincushion he set aside for you. You sit there with your arms crossed, glaring at him as he puts away his items.
While you're sulking you notice a little bottle of purple liquid poking out of the farmers front pocket. You quietly flutter over and sneakily inch the tiny thing out of his pocket.
"Hey!"
The farmer tries to stop you but you're much faster than him and fly up, out of his reach. The glass bottle is a little bigger than you're torso and when you inspect it the label says "Growth serum"
You let out quite a dramatic gasp and look down at the farmer, betrayal written all over your face.
"Now Tiny, don't jump to conclu-"
The farmer starts but is interrupted by a very angry fairy yelling things he doesn't understand right in his face. All he can hear is jingles but he's sure he's getting severely cussed at. He understands why, you helped this man grow his crops bigger and better than ever and now you think he wants to replace you for some stupid, probably overpriced serum?
You angrily throw the bottle to the ground and the farmer dives down to clumsily catch it before it smashes onto the floor.
As you feel tears fall down your hot cheeks, you flutter back to your windowsill and sit with your head between your knees.
"Hey, don't cry now."
The farmer sheepishly leans against the windowsill next to you.
"I promise, it's not for the plants. You already help me out so much with that and I appreciate it a lot. I don't need anything else."
You peak your head out from your arms and look at him skeptically.
He holds his hand out to you and you hesitantly flutter onto his palm, enjoying the warmth of his touch despite the cold wetness of your cheeks.
"Truth is, it's lonely for me out here... and I know you get lonely too."
You scoff at him. Obviously, the whole reason you were upset in the first place was because he was ignoring you.
"I uh... I got this for you. So we could....uh well only if you want to, I mean... I don't know."
You stare at him dumbfounded as he fumbles his words, you've never seen the farmer like this before.
You shoot up to hug his cheek, jingling in excitement. You give him tiny kisses and he laughs at the ticklish feeling. You float to the counter in front of him and bounce on your heels waiting for him.
"Alright, alright."
He chuckles at your stark change in mood and uncaps the tiny bottle of magic liquid. You brace yourself as he carefully lets one single drop fall onto your little head.
Nothing happens for a moment but before you could feel disappointed the world blurs and you're suddenly face to face with your farmer.
He stares down at where you sit on his counter, now perfectly human sized. Your cute dress didn't survive the quick transition but you don't seem to mind as you jump the poor farmer.
You grab his face and kiss him deeply. Finally feeling his lips on yours makes your wings flutter and your heart sing as you lock your legs around him to pull his body closer.
"Alright, slow down."
He says through kisses and huffed laughs as you kiss all over his face and neck.
"Now why don't you let me show you how much I appreciate you."
He mumbles in a sultry tone, bringing his hands down to grip your ass and grind your hips into him.
He laughs at the way your wings violently flutter and takes that as eager agreement.

Can I request Scary-story time with Lilia Vanrouge?
➸ Horn-Raiser; Lilia Vanrouge × S/O
Characters: Lilia Vanrouge A/N: This was fun. It kind of went off topic at the end, but what doesn't with Lilia? Anyways, enjoy, Anon! And next time, please add an emoji! ➥ Summary: Scary stories with your husband was always fun. But this year, you wanted to make him feel the spooks and not you and the boys. How did that go? Read to find out...
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
Tumblr media
╚═════ Lilia Vanrouge ═══════════════════════════╝
🦇 A small fire crackled as a dorm gathered together in the lounge. The males all adjusted as the eldest of them all, Lilia, floated with a book in front of him. He smiled and cleared his throat
🦇 Malleus watched with a curious gaze while Silver tried to keep himself from falling asleep and Sebek readied himself to listen. You just watched from couch, you had your adoptive son, Silver's, head in your lap, occasionally tapping him to wake him up
🦇 You saw Lilia take a deep breath and begin reading from the book. It was obvious what he was trying to do; spook his young fae. You had overheard a couple of them say that nothing scared them and that they were the most brave, and, in your husband's normal fashion, he wanted to test that
"This story takes place many years before any of us existed. Some say it happened before the Thorn Fairy herself lived." He began.
🦇 As the story progressed, the faes that bragged earlier began to tremble. It was beyond obvious now that they were scared for their long-destined lives
🦇 One of your eyebrows raised as you smirked. You always found the Halloween season to be fun to scare others, especially your younger kind. Lilia had that in common with you, though he's evolved past telling stories of his time in war. And you're thankful for that. You didn't want to deal with anymore angry parents whining about how much detail their child was fed on sewing up wounds and how a blade slashed someone
🦇 Lilia began to near the end of his story, though nobody else noticed that. While his voice came out, you heard Silver's light snoring. You smiled gently and brushed your hand through his hair, lightly massaging it
"All of a sudden, the man looked around 'i confusion. 'i swear 'tis said something behind me. Belike 'twere hold, but for a mouse?'"
"'It was far to loud to be a mouse, Sir Ectionkin." Lady Humetre replied. "No. I be sure 'twere a mouse. What doth thou regard 'twere? A human? Or haply a humanoid mouse? What balderdash.'"
"Mine husband?" a hushed voice said from down the hall.
"What was that, Y/N?" Lilia asked.
"I didn't say anything, love." You replied.
🦇 Lilia furrowed his eyebrows and looked back down the hall. Since he saw nobody there, he just shrugged his shoulders and kept reading the story to the males around
"The lady of the castle looked behind her lord and shivered 'i fear. 'I swear on mine life that there was something behind thou, mine lord. '"
"Husband? What is thy purpose 'i there? Are thou there?" The voice came out again.
🦇 The old fae looked up in slight fear, you said you heard nothing earlier. So why was he hearing your voice again?
"Lilia? What's wrong?" You asked.
"Yes. What is going on, Lilia?" Malleus backed.
"I swear I just heard Y/N speak down the hall." He replied, his guard being put up higher.
"You, art not mine husband. Whither is he? What hast thou done?" The voice said.
🦇 Malleus stood up and looked hotly down the hall. He had heard that one clear as the night sky, and he was not happy to hear this without any clue on how it was happening
🦇 An eerie silence overcame the room, making all stand still with hair raising. You gripped onto Silver protectively as Lilia began to walk towards the darkness. The others watched in fear, including Sebek and Malleus, who were told to stay by yours and Silver's sides just in case
🦇 Lilia walked into the shadows silently, not making any noises to alert whatever was there. He looked around, seeing nothing but the darkness. He must've just heard something random. But, then again, how would Malleus react if it was in his head?
🦇 All of a sudden, a flash of light came from his side, making Lilia aim his wand at the area, seeing nothing there anymore. A nearly-silent giggle came out, mocking him. Only fueling his irritation
"Come out and face me." He ordered.
"Boo."
🦇 Lilia jumped as you laughed, floating in the air as your husband stood there in shock. It was you this entire time?!
"I must admit, that was quite entertaining, Y/N." Malleus said, a small ball of green flames coming from his finger-tip.
"W-wait. This was all a prank?"
"To scare you? Yes, it was, my dear." You said. "We finally got you!"
"Oh... did you?" Lilia said.
🦇 You cocked an eyebrow as Lilia smiled and sent a pulse of magic above you. In the matter of seconds, Sebek, Malleus, Silver, and you were all covered in colored-water. Sebek was lime, Silver was blue, Malleus was green, and you were now pink
"What the-?!"
"Nobody beats me in Halloween pranks, honey. Sorry not sorry!" Lilia laughed as he flew off.
"Lilia Vanrouge!"

The sakamaki finds their self staring at their S/O baby/kids photos or maybe vice Vera, pick you’re favourite!
Tumblr media
BABY PICTURES!!!
I'm picking both because I'm an indecisive lil'bitch, so this is part 1 with the Sakamakis seeing you as children. This took way longer than expected but I got bad writers block with Kanato, Laito, and Ayato in particular.
Part 2
TW: Some mildly degrading language, it comes with the DL terrotory, Laito calls reader a whore once.
Shu Sakamaki
Perhaps if you were less tired you would have heard the door creak open or felt the hallway's light hitting your eyes as he entered your room. While not requiring heat, it was a luxury Shu enjoyed indulging in it and you tended to give the best reactions to his cold fingers waking you.
This time though you looked exhausted, a long exam season having drained you more than he would have thought. Besides, it would be funniest if you had the energy to react well. So for now he was intent on joining you in dreamland. That was until his eyes strayed to your vanity where a book lay half open. A clearer look showed a small child grinning up at him, and the note "Sweet Pea's first contest" was scrawled on a slip of paper attached to the bottom left corner.
You were sat beside an older girl both in tutus your hair adorned with with a delicate tiara complimenting your light pink, glittery costume. It looked like you were matching the older girl who was dressed in the more traditional sugar plum fairy outfit. Flicking through the book it looked like you must still be a ballerina, he especially loved your first point shoe photo, you were beaming at yourself in a mirror while standing holding the bar.
The last photo was dated as being almost a year ago, you were stunning. On stage front and center leg held high being supported by your partner as you stared dainty upwards to the side, ironically you were also a sugar plum fairy. Except there was something much more ethereal compared to the first picture he saw, you must have been some prodigy to look this way. The spotlight had all of you glowing, the layers of tulle and jewels only accentuating your glow rather than causing it.
You also had a photo with a young girl after the show, a change in generations perhaps? But, you didn't look as happy. There was the arm of a man in the frame slightly, wearing some robe similar to Yui's dad. Flicking between the first and last photo there was a clear difference between your smile reaching your eyes. You looked so hollow compared to your younger self.
The noise of you stirring slightly and turning over is what brings him back to reality, looking at you now it would be a lie to say he ever saw you smile the way you do in these photos, a beaming toothy grin in an expression he could only call personified sunshine. Now, none of that was visible. What little joy was left in that photo of you and the child had been eradicated. You were paler, and more gaunt due to constant blood draining. You had bags heavy under your eyes and knots in your hair. Punctures littered your neck, painful angry marks unhealed and just left there to further your pain.
He never asked about your hobbies or life before the manor, he knew very little about your past what he had seen while at your least intruding to try minimize the harm his brother, no he was causing. He didn't like this feeling, a rolling unsettling feeling in his stomach. He couldn't look at you as he slunk away.
Reiji Sakamaki
"Seriously, must you be so rude to delay all of our journey home."
Pushing open the doors to the school library he met the sight of your head against a book out cold. Walking closer it was clear you had been studying for some time, a mixture of notes and books laid around you. Tutting, Reiji brushed some pencil shavings away noticing the golden chain wrapped around your fingers a small heart nestled in your palm.
Turning it over it fell open to reveal two halves, one empty the other revealing a young girl in the lap of two people, their heads were out of the frame. Picking up the locket to more closely examine it, the girl was holding a teddy bear with a big red bow matching the red dress she was in.
"They took that picture before they sent me off to the church"
"What?"
Turning his head back to face her, she had sat up and wiped her eyes. Resting her head in her hand and looking at his hand with some far away look in her eyes.
"The church that supplies your sacrifices, cults are always going to exist but yours is less popular than you know. So they trick people or offer to buy their children flat out. Some of the girls had seen their parents trying to get them back, tricked into believing the church was a boarding school. I'm not sure what mine believed, I never saw them again. I don't have any other pictures of them."
"You don't believe in the Church? Yui seems rather devoted still, I know how you humans work and-"
"Yui was raised in the Church by a leading priest who at least pretended to love her, I was shipped off and locked in a building raised to be killed. If you want to view the world as one dimensional, I'd like to remind you that it goes both ways. So I know you vampires are so incapable of managing yourselves you lose all decorum when blood is involved and have seemingly failed to learn how to wipe your mouth." She was sneering, evidently it was harder to hold her tongue freshly woken up. All he could focus on was the swirling pain in your eyes, it was the closest he'd ever seen her get to tears, it took him aback.
The silence seemed to only further solidify your upset, shaking your head and grabbing the locket and your bag before walking out of the library. Reiji hung back for a moment, almost reflective before turning back to the table. The notes were insightful, she had interacted with the material rather than the girls in the school that begged him for help. He had to wonder if perhaps he was using a less than adequate sample population...
Walking out to return to the limo he had to begin considering appropriate response to this outburst.
Ayato Sakamaki
"Yo, you better hurry up Ore-sama waits for no-one!"
"I'm showering, you're the one that came into my room." Scowling the red head dropped down onto your bed only to feel something poking him. Lifting the mattress revealed a flat tin box you had hidden suspiciously. Nosey as he is, he immediately opened the box to be faced with a collection of different photos. Some were of you in some school uniform with some friends, you look around 13 in some of them. Other, newer, photos have you in some brick building with those other girls, as well as some of the previous brides, some wore crosses similar to Yui's but you weren't. You were sat on a window ledge a small cupcake in your lap with those other brides living here, your eyes had that same hollow look you get when he insults you. The worse one though was a picture of you as a toddler, sat on a woman's lap with a tiny paper hat on your head. You were grinning in front of a cake lit up with 3 candles.
How dare you. Being so happy and hiding these expressions from him but showing them to other people. As this is crossing his mind he hears the door creaking open as you enter still drying your hair before freezing.
"How did you get that." You were trembling, eyes fixed on the box still in his lap.
"How dare you hide things for Ore-sama! You are mine nobody else's you have to give me everything. And this," He held up the box, shaking it to punctuate his words. "This is proof you are hiding things from yours truly!"
Tossing the box into the fire in a fit of rage, watching you cry as you try to save some of the photos. He eventually pulled you away, drinking you near faint and watching as you stumble trying to run away when he let you go. Watching as the flames slowly cause the photos to curl in on your small round face while you wait to blow out your candles. As well as listening as you sobbed just outside the door.
Kanato Sakamaki
Kanato had demanded to see what was in your suitcase the moment you had passed the doors into this hellhole. Thankfully Reiji had insisted that it was improper and due to his short attention span the purple haired menace had mostly forgotten. As weeks passed it had completely slipped your mind as you were far too preoccupied trying not to die. While walking through the halls of the manor back to your room after school your mind drifted to Kanato's bizarre behavior.
Kanato, for some reason, followed you around more than the other girls here, you were unsure how to feel about him all in all. He had moments where he was incredibly sweet and nice only to change in an instance with no predictability into screaming, violent rages. He was bad news, with no motivation or willingness to try change or improve you had to live in constant tension over what mood he'd be in. No better example came to mind that what you faced upon opening your door.
Kanato sat at the foot of your bed, your suitcase open and a scattered collection of pictures of you around them. Your heart was in your throat, unable to see his face to know how to act or run. Your hands were clammy, those photos were important to you and while you wouldn't mind showing people Kanato was ultimately a risk, he could rip them up or hurt you for having them.
"Hey, you were a cute child strawberry." Kanato was half facing you now, focusing on the picture in his hand you in a princess bouncy castle at your cousin's 5th birthday. You loved that one, you had dressed up as Rapunzel, you had a lilac tea dress on and your mother had bought fake hair to braid in with yours to extend its length. Gently stepping closer you explained this to Kanato, and about her being your favorite as a child.
"You can sit closer, I want you to tell me more." He didn't sound angry, rare for when he made demands. and you want it to stay that way. Sitting closer he also shifts to have his right knee brushing your leg as he sat crossed legged. He had his arm holding himself up behind you. Sitting in that pose, if it weren't for the clothes, he looks like a normal teenager.
He kept you there for over an hour it felt good to get to talk about your life before being a sacrifice. It was the longest you had ever seen him lucid. You eventually nod off, vaguely comprehending fingers slowly running through your hair and a blanket being draped around you.
Laito Sakamaki
Laito strikes a balance between crazy and insane that while still very much not sane, he's better at hiding it. For the past few months while here you've seen him slowly tailor his behavior to somewhat better suit you. While still a complete perv, once he realized his attempts at flirting didn't work he changed tactics, a few times, until there was this uneasy understanding between you both. You weren't friends or anything but his worst behaviors were saved for when he was hungry for the most part, other than that he was mostly just an annoyance. An annoyance currently not letting you take your time with the Sunday crossword. "8 across is isthmi, strip of land connecting two large areas separated by a body of water."
"I knew that."
"Is that why you took so long to write it down?" I could only glare as he sat there one hand holding up his head on the opposite end of the sofa. Chewing my cheek to stop a sly remark I twirled my pen before filling in the answer. It's been a few days since he's drank, too many smart remarks could have bad results.
Between answering hints that I was taking too long to figure out, Laito was playing with the other pages of the newspaper, folding them into aeroplanes to send across the room. Fiddling with one of his most recent planes absentmindedly, he began to speak.
"The real question is why do you do these crosswords when you're so bad at them." He was grinning as he looked up to see my reaction. However, unlike my normal remarks my face must've fallen because he looked incredibly confused.
"Oh? Strike a nerve little whore?~" He was all but purring, reveling in getting under my skin so effectively. All I could do in response is shake my head turning back to try focus on the crossword. About a minute of silence passed of pretending to focus on the page. Suddenly feeling breath near the back of my ear I flinch turning to see him hovering above me, arm on the headrest behind me and his other on the armrest caging me in. Panicking my breathing picked up as I tried to ensure as much distance between me and him as possible.
"Pictures," he mumbled. "The answer is pictures 4 down, you're not that bad...what are you thinking." He was staring straight at me, seeing straight through me. He reached back to his pocket before placing a familiar photo in front of me, the old crease down the center where I folded it in half to fit in my old uniform. It was a photo from the dormitories, I was 5 working on a crossword page torn from the paper while the older girls in the room were reading the paper and the younger ones played.
"I found it when going through your stuff to see what could be returned to you, can't have cellphones or anything useful for escape. Only to find this, some of those other girls are in the photo and just like every Sunday you ripped out the crossword page. Why?"
I didn't like this Laito, when he was just as sharp as his older brother's and not as easy to placate as the other two triplets. This Laito, who has now left me to share things I would've much rather keep private.
"Nowadays, the Church operates as a boarding school to draw in brides. You get there and you are cut off from the outside world, they tell us the girls run away when they're sent here. They wouldn't give us any real information, too many heretics in the world." Picking at the frayed edges of my hoodie's arm, I took a deep breath before continuing on. "I told the matron I liked crosswords, she did the weekly Sudoku, so since I was young I knew she thought I wouldn't break any rules. I would tear out the crossword page to do while the older girls read the paper to collect any news on disappearances and just on the greater world in general. I would return the paper and say I tore out the crossword to keep to see how my timing improved. Now it's just a habit that paper will never say anything about us or anything that can help right."
I saw him sit back out of the corner of my eye. Readying myself to be bitten or mocked I kept looking down.
"You still stick your tongue out when you focus, its cute."
Before I could even look up he was gone.
Subaru Sakamaki
Out of all the Sakamaki brothers, Subaru was by far the safest. His anger was predictable and mostly posed a risk to furniture over you, even his bites were gentle and so long as he didn't rush off he would seal the wound with what you had dubbed 'nasty healing spit'. So when he unofficial began acting as your bodyguard you didn't complain, or even acknowledge it out of fear he would stop and leave you to the bats.
The new routine was by far the most peaceful you had experienced in some time. You ate your breakfast on your balcony watching the sunset before the white haired shadow took his place brooding nearby. This 'morning' was no different, you set eating your breakfast as you looked through a small pile of photos that the computer club had salvaged from the remnants of your phone. As the sky faded from orange, to purple, to the dark blue of summer nights and stars began to appear in the sky you sat back, eying the door waiting for his appearance.
Your door opened, his figure being somewhat visible through the sheer curtains as he yawned. Once he pulled the curtain back to step outside he scowled seeing you waiting, but when did he not? He silently placed himself leaning against the door frame while you remained seated.
"You can sit closer you know. I don't bite, promise!" Grinning up at Subaru while his scowl worsened.
"You aren't going to last long if you have that attitude stupid."
"I thought we had an agreement, most liars don't call themselves liars."
"I'm a vampire, you shouldn't be so careless if you value your life."
Sighing and turning back to your pictures, you both continued to sit in silence. It took 5 minutes for Subaru to give in and move closer. You were still going through the photos not acknowledging his movement. If there's anything you've learnt it's that if you ever point out Subaru's behavior he runs away, ironic for such a fearsome creature. After he had some time to work up the courage he pointed to one in your hand.
"Who's that?"
The photo was of you wearing some roller skates at a roller disco party, you were 7 or 8. Your wrists covered in sparkly wrist bands and plasters covering your knees and palms from how much you had slipped practicing to avoid embarrassment.
"It's me at one of my friend's birthday party, About a year after this I first got sent to this boarding school linked to the Church. After a few years I was cut off from everyone and sent here. That was the last time I saw her actually, she moved away."
The albino nodded in understanding before once again entering into a lapse of silence. He kept looking back to that photo while you organized the rest of the pile, wrapping the photos in a piece of paper to prevent any sun or dust damage. Standing back up and collecting your belongings you looked to him expectantly. However, he just continued to stare off into the distance.
Weighing up your options and how much you currently valued your life, you leaned down to tap his shoulder. Aside from a minor jolt he seemed more receptive to you. Passing over the photo you were smiling.
"I don't want to look at this it makes me sad, but it seemed to catch your attention to here."

Just another star in the sky <3 (5th October 2024)
Izuku Midoriya x Reader ; Uraraka pov angst
Prompt! Uraraka experiences unrequited feelings while watching him choose her
Class 1-A was always filled with energy, but amidst all the chaos, there was one person who never seemed to make much noise—Y/N. She was quiet, graceful, and admired by many, both for her personality and her unique quirk. With a soft glow of light following her wherever she went and delicate wings that fluttered when she used her fairy quirk, Y/N seemed to embody a calm and gentle presence that stood out amongst the usual rambunctious nature of the class.
Ochaco Uraraka sat at her desk, her eyes lingering on Y/N as she floated quietly around the room, her wings glimmering slightly under the fluorescent lights. Y/N wasn’t someone who demanded attention, but somehow, she always got it. Everyone noticed her. Uraraka especially noticed how he noticed her—Izuku.
It wasn’t that Izuku was obvious about his feelings, but Ochaco had known him long enough to recognize the subtle changes in his behavior. The way he glanced at Y/N when he thought no one was watching, the way his face would turn just a little red when she walked by. It was like a stab to the chest every time Ochaco caught him staring.
As Y/N gracefully floated past, her wings barely making a sound, Uraraka clenched her fists under the desk, feeling an uncomfortable tightness in her chest. She had always known that Y/N was beautiful, kind, and admired by many. But knowing that Izuku—her Izuku—liked her was harder than she’d anticipated.
Uraraka had never said it out loud, but she had harbored feelings for Izuku since the beginning. His kind heart, his determination, and the way he always tried to help everyone—those were the things she had fallen for. But Izuku? He had fallen for someone else. Someone like Y/N, someone who was effortlessly perfect in every way.
She lowered her gaze, staring at the wooden surface of her desk as her thoughts swirled. How could she compete with Y/N? Y/N’s quirk was beautiful, elegant—she was beautiful and elegant. Uraraka’s quirk was practical, but not graceful. Y/N never stumbled over her words like Uraraka often did. She never had to worry about blushing too much or saying the wrong thing. She was always so poised.
It wasn’t that Uraraka disliked Y/N—how could she? Y/N was nothing but kind, always offering a smile or a helping hand when someone needed it. But it hurt. It hurt knowing that the person she liked admired someone else. That the person she admired thought so highly of someone she could never compare to.
She bit her lip, trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to well up in her eyes. It wasn’t fair. She didn’t want to feel this way. She didn’t want to be angry or jealous. Y/N had done nothing wrong. And Izuku? He couldn’t help who he liked. But it didn’t make the pain go away.
Uraraka’s thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Midoriya’s voice. She glanced up, her heart sinking as she watched him nervously approach Y/N. He looked flustered, rubbing the back of his neck as he always did when he was nervous.
“Um, Y/N,” Izuku stammered, his cheeks tinted pink, “I was wondering… uh, if you’re not too busy, do you want to help me with the homework later? I mean, only if you want to—! It’s fine if you don’t have time.”
Y/N turned, offering a soft smile that made Izuku’s blush deepen. “Sure, I’d be happy to help,” she replied, her voice as quiet and calming as always.
Uraraka felt like her heart was breaking. She could see how much it meant to Izuku, how much he liked her. The way he looked at Y/N was different from the way he looked at anyone else. And Y/N? She was so sweet, so unassuming, that she probably didn’t even realize how much of an impact she had on him.
As she watched them, Ochaco’s mind began to spiral, comparing herself to Y/N more harshly than ever. I’m not as graceful, not as calm, not as beautiful, she thought bitterly. No wonder Izuku likes her. Who wouldn’t?
She clenched her fists again, feeling the frustration and sadness bubble up. It wasn’t Y/N’s fault, and it wasn’t even Izuku’s. But she couldn’t stop the hurt from creeping in. It felt like she was losing a battle she had never even entered.
“Uraraka?”
She jumped, blinking rapidly as she realized that Kirishima was standing in front of her desk, a concerned look on his face. “You okay? You look a little out of it.”
Uraraka forced a smile, pushing her emotions down as best as she could. “Yeah! I’m fine,” she said, her voice a little too bright. “Just, uh… thinking.”
Kirishima raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced, but he didn’t push. “Well, if you need anything, just let me know.”
“Thanks,” she muttered, grateful that he didn’t ask more questions.
As he walked away, Uraraka let out a quiet sigh. She glanced back at Y/N and Izuku, who were now sitting together, their heads bent over a notebook. Izuku was explaining something excitedly, and Y/N was listening intently, nodding along.
He looks so happy, she thought, her heart aching. Why can’t I just be happy for him?
But deep down, Ochaco knew why. She was in love with Izuku. And it was tearing her apart to see him fall for someone else.
Later that evening, as everyone was winding down in the common room, Uraraka sat by herself, watching as Izuku and Y/N interacted with the others. She couldn’t help but feel invisible, like she was standing in the background of someone else’s story.
And maybe that was what hurt the most. Because in her heart, she had always hoped that her story would be with Izuku. But now, she wasn’t so sure if that was ever meant to be.
Days turned into weeks, and Uraraka found herself watching the gap between her and Izuku grow wider as Y/N quietly filled the space. It was never anything blatant—Y/N was too kind and unassuming for that—but little by little, she saw how Izuku gravitated towards her. It was the small moments that hurt the most: the way his eyes brightened when Y/N entered the room, the way his smile lingered just a little longer when they talked, the way he seemed more comfortable around her as time went on.
Uraraka tried to keep her feelings hidden. She smiled when she needed to, laughed when she could, but inside, she felt herself shrinking. Every time she saw Izuku with Y/N, her chest tightened, and the weight of unspoken emotions threatened to drown her.
She couldn't hate Y/N—there was nothing to hate. Y/N was always kind, always so soft-spoken and gentle. But the bitterness that clawed at her insides grew stronger each day. Uraraka was falling apart in silence while Izuku and Y/N got to know each other more, and it felt like she was watching her worst fears unfold right in front of her eyes.
It all came to a head one afternoon when Izuku invited Y/N to join them for lunch.
“Hey, Y/N! We’re all going to grab lunch together. Wanna come with us?” Izuku asked, his face lighting up as he extended the invitation.
Y/N hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded. “Sure, if it’s not too much trouble.”
The group, consisting of Izuku, Iida, Todoroki, and Uraraka, all gathered at their usual table in the cafeteria. At first, it seemed like a normal lunch, but Uraraka could feel the tension building inside her the entire time. She sat quietly, picking at her food, while Izuku and Y/N talked and laughed with the rest of the group. Even Todoroki, who was usually quiet, was engaging with Y/N more than usual.
"Y/N, your quirk is really unique," Iida said with admiration. "I’ve never seen anything quite like it. It must take a lot of control."
Y/N smiled softly, her wings fluttering gently behind her. "It does take a bit of practice, but I’m getting there."
Izuku beamed at her, as proud as if he had trained her himself. "Yeah, Y/N’s amazing at controlling it. I saw her during training the other day—she handled it so well!"
Uraraka’s fork clattered onto her plate, and everyone looked at her. Her heart was pounding, and her chest felt tight. She could feel the anger bubbling up, threatening to spill over.
"Are you okay, Ochaco?" Izuku asked, his concerned green eyes searching her face.
That was the last straw.
"No, I’m not okay!" Uraraka snapped, her voice trembling with anger and hurt. "I’m tired of this! I’m tired of pretending like everything’s fine when it’s not!"
The entire table fell silent, everyone staring at her in shock. Y/N’s expression was a mix of confusion and concern, and Izuku’s eyes widened, looking genuinely taken aback.
"Uraraka, what’s wrong?" Iida asked, his tone calm but laced with worry.
But she couldn’t answer. The emotions she had been bottling up for so long were crashing down on her all at once. Tears burned in her eyes, and she clenched her fists, trying to keep herself from crying right there in the cafeteria.
Without another word, she stood up, her chair scraping loudly against the floor as she pushed it back. The weight of everyone’s stares was too much. She couldn’t handle it—not the confusion, not the pity. Especially not from Izuku.
"I just—" Uraraka’s voice cracked, and before she could finish, she turned on her heel and bolted from the cafeteria, her tears finally spilling over as she ran.
The hallways blurred as she sprinted, her heart hammering in her chest. She couldn’t face them, couldn’t bear to see the confused expressions on their faces, especially Izuku’s. She had tried so hard to keep it all in, but it had become too much. Watching him fall for Y/N had been like slowly pulling a thread until everything unraveled.
She didn’t know where she was going, but it didn’t matter. All she knew was that she needed to get away from the cafeteria, from the people who didn’t understand, from the pain that had been eating her up inside for so long.
Finally, she found herself outside, breathless and shaking as she leaned against the wall of the school building. Her tears fell freely now, her body wracked with quiet sobs as she tried to catch her breath. The jealousy, the sadness, the guilt for feeling that way—it all hit her at once, and she felt like she was drowning in it.
She wasn’t mad at Y/N. She couldn’t be. But the truth was, seeing Izuku with someone else, seeing how happy he was when he looked at her—it had broken something inside of her.
And now, there was no taking it back. No pretending that everything was fine.
Because for the first time, she had let herself acknowledge the painful truth: the boy she liked was in love with someone else.
A few weeks had passed since Y/N and Midoriya had started dating, and Class 1A was buzzing with excitement. It felt like everyone knew, and they couldn't help but talk about it. The once-quiet Midoriya, who had always focused on training, now had an undeniable spring in his step whenever Y/N was around. It didn’t take long for the rest of the class to catch on, and before anyone knew it, teasing him became their favorite pastime.
Uraraka, on the other hand, was doing her best to hold herself together. She had watched Midoriya and Y/N grow closer, their bond becoming something more than just friendship, and now they were an official couple. Every day felt like a slow, painful reminder of what she couldn’t have.
At lunch one day, the teasing was in full swing.
“Hey, Midoriya,” Kaminari called from across the table, leaning in with a smirk. “How’s it going with Y/N? You two are practically inseparable now.”
Midoriya flushed, his cheeks turning a deep shade of red. “I-It’s going fine,” he stammered, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. “We’re just—”
“Oh, come on, man, don’t be shy!” Sero grinned. “You’re dating her! That’s a big deal.”
“Yeah!” Mina added, giggling. “You’re living the dream. I mean, Y/N’s so pretty and cool, and you two look super cute together!”
Midoriya’s blush deepened as he mumbled, “It’s really not a big deal…”
But everyone was having too much fun to stop. Even Todoroki, who usually remained quiet, chimed in, his voice deadpan but his eyes glinting with amusement. “You’re doing well, Midoriya.”
Y/N sat beside Midoriya, smiling softly, her own face pink from all the attention. She wasn’t used to being in the spotlight like this, but she handled it gracefully, simply nodding and occasionally glancing at Midoriya, whose awkwardness was both adorable and endearing.
Across from them, Uraraka sat quietly, her chest tightening with every passing second. She felt like an outsider in her own group. The laughter, the teasing—it all felt so far away, like she was watching from behind a glass wall. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t break through.
Her food sat untouched in front of her as the others continued to talk about Midoriya and Y/N’s relationship. The more they talked, the heavier the weight in her chest became.
She had been holding it in for so long—bottling up her feelings, trying to be happy for Midoriya, trying to be supportive. But every time she saw him with Y/N, every time she heard him laugh at something Y/N said, it felt like another crack forming in the walls she had built around her heart.
“Uraraka, you okay?” Mina asked suddenly, her voice cutting through the chatter. “You’ve been super quiet.”
All eyes turned to her, and Uraraka froze. Her hands trembled slightly, and she clenched her fists, forcing a smile onto her face. “I’m fine,” she lied, her voice barely above a whisper. “Just… not really hungry.”
Midoriya looked at her, concerned. “Are you sure? You don’t seem like yourself today.”
Hearing his voice, his concern directed at her, made her heart ache even more. She couldn’t bear it. She couldn’t sit there any longer, watching them, feeling like she was suffocating in her own emotions.
“I… I think I’ll head back to the dorms,” she mumbled, standing up quickly. The chair scraped loudly against the floor, and everyone stared at her in confusion.
“Do you need help? I can walk with you,” Midoriya offered, already half-standing from his seat.
“No!” Uraraka’s voice came out sharper than she intended, and she winced at the way everyone’s expressions shifted from confusion to concern. She quickly backtracked, her voice softer this time. “I mean… no, it’s okay. I just need some air.”
Without waiting for a response, she turned and walked away, her footsteps hurried as she left the cafeteria. She could feel their eyes on her as she went, but she didn’t stop. She couldn’t.
As soon as she was out of sight, Uraraka found a quiet corner in an empty hallway and leaned against the wall, her breath coming out in short, shaky gasps. The tears she had been holding back for weeks finally spilled over, and she slid down to the floor, pulling her knees to her chest.
She had tried so hard to be strong, to be happy for Midoriya, but it hurt. It hurt so much more than she ever thought it would. And now, sitting alone in the quiet hallway, the truth was impossible to ignore.
She had lost him.
And it was breaking her.
That night, Uraraka was curled up in bed, her room dimly lit by the soft glow of her desk lamp. She had spent most of the evening hiding away, avoiding everyone and everything, too emotionally drained to deal with reality. The weight in her chest had become unbearable, and she didn’t know how much longer she could pretend she was fine.
A soft knock at the door broke through her thoughts. Uraraka’s heart skipped a beat. She didn’t want to see anyone right now.
“Uraraka? It’s me, Y/N.”
Uraraka’s stomach twisted at the sound of her voice. Y/N had never done anything wrong. She had been kind and quiet, never flaunting her relationship with Midoriya. But the very thought of her brought back all the pain and jealousy Uraraka had tried so hard to suppress.
There was another knock, and this time, Y/N spoke a little louder. “Can I come in? I just wanted to check on you.”
With a sigh, Uraraka wiped her eyes and slowly stood, opening the door just a crack. Y/N stood there, her expression soft but worried. “I noticed you haven’t been yourself lately. I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
Uraraka stared at her for a long moment, and something inside her snapped. Her emotions, which had been building up for weeks, boiled over all at once.
“Why are you here?” Uraraka’s voice was low but sharp, her anger barely contained. “To make sure I’m okay? How can I be okay when you’ve taken everything from me?”
Y/N blinked in surprise, her eyes widening at the sudden outburst. “Uraraka, I—”
“You got everything,” Uraraka continued, her voice rising with each word. “Everyone admires you. Midoriya admires you. He… he was the one thing I thought I had, and now he’s yours too.”
Y/N’s face softened, and she looked down at the ground. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Uraraka’s anger flared even more at Y/N’s calm response. “How can you just stand there and say that? You’ve taken the person I care about most, and you act like it’s nothing. Like it doesn’t even matter.”
Y/N bit her lip, nodding slowly. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, her voice gentle. “But I won’t break up with him. I care about him too much.”
Uraraka stared at her, tears welling up in her eyes. She wanted to scream, to yell, to make Y/N understand the pain she was feeling, but deep down, she knew it wasn’t Y/N’s fault. It wasn’t anyone’s fault.
Y/N nodded again, offering a small, sad smile. “I’m really sorry, Uraraka. I didn’t want things to end up like this.”
With that, she turned and left, leaving Uraraka standing in the doorway, her heart shattered.
As the door clicked shut behind her, Uraraka slumped back onto her bed, her emotions swirling in a chaotic storm. No matter how much she wanted to hate Y/N, she couldn’t.
At the end of the day, it wasn’t about blame or anger. It was about the reality of unrequited feelings and how life moved on, no matter how much it hurt.
At the end, he was the sun, and she was the moon.
And I was just another star in the galaxy watching.

My Fair Lady's Maid (Regency! Aemond Targaryen x Lady's Maid!Reader) Sneak Peek
Tumblr media
Frustrated with his grandsire's tedious and thorough process of choosing him a "suitable" bride, Aemond makes a declaration that a lady's maid could be indistinguishable from a true noblewoman so long as she was sufficiently dressed and educated in embroidery, conversation, and the like. Otto takes this as a challenge, and gives Aemond four months to turn one of Helaena's lady's maids into a noblewoman.
Pairing: (Regency! Aemond Targaryen x Lady's Maid!Reader)
Author's Note: So, about 2k words of this just kinda happened today...
Chapter 1: Loverly
“AAAAOOWWWW!”
Her knees pounded with pain, the edges of her vision pulsing black, but she pulled herself up to her elbows, focusing only on what was directly in front of her.
The flowers were scattered across the cobblestones, half already trampled on by people scrambling to avoid falling with her. Those had been the best blossoms, the ones she put at the top of her basket to entice people into buying from her. All that remained in her basket were the scant pickings she used just to make the basket look full – no one would want to buy those.
Nearly a full day’s wages, gone like that.
“What in the devil’s name was that noise, girl?” The bastard who ran into her sneered. She’d never before heard a voice so suited to sneering. She lifted her head to growl something back at him, but any biting words quickly died when she saw who looked down at her.
He was finer than any man – any person – she’d ever seen in Rosby. Not a single silver hair out of place, not a loose thread anywhere on his fine clothes, or a speck of dust on him. Well, except for the slight smudge of grime left on his deep green tailcoat from where he’d crashed into her. The sight of it made her want to crawl into her dirty basement and never come out again.
“You should watch where you’re walking, brother,” another man, standing next to the severe man who had run into her, said. The familiar resemblance was obvious in their coloring – the silver hair, the eyes so vibrantly blue they were nearly violet.
The severe man scoffed, his lip curling as he looked at her. “I was, Daeron. But the little wretch came out of nowhere.”
“I ain’t no ‘wretch!’” she shouted, indignation burning through her fear and embarrassment. “I’m a respectacled woman, I am!”
The man scoffed and rolled his eye, and only then did she notice: his left eye was entirely white, its milky paleness emphasized by the angry red scar stretching from his forehead all the way down through his cheek.
She didn’t mean to stare, really. But she had never seen a man who looked like him – scar or no. He was like something out of a fairy tale. Especially when his scowl deepened, and his one blue eye seemed to catch fire.
“Have you looked your fill?” he growled. She immediately averted her gaze, not knowing what to say. She couldn’t think of a single word.

MASTERPOST word count: 3.2k
Panic coursed through Basil’s body, overwhelmingly cold. She gasped for breath, inching back into the redhead’s curled fingers, heart pounding against her chest.
“What on earth….” The female human leaned closer, drawing a startled noise from Basil. The human’s dark eyes shifted from curiosity to concern. “What is this? What are you?”
“Bree, holy shit,” the redhead whispered suddenly, hand twitching. “Tiny people. Alice and Felix were talking about tiny people.”
“Oh.” The girl gasped. “Oh.”
At those words, Basil straightened up, gaze dancing. Her hook was clutched within her hands, useless. In a desperate attempt for survival, could she toss herself off of this human’s hand and land on the couch?
She yelped in surprise when the redhead moved to sit down on the couch, hitting her with a wave of vertigo. Next to him, the female human sat down as well, tilting her head as she observed Basil’s demeanor.
“She looks scared,” she said thoughtfully, eyebrows pinching together. Addressing Basil directly, she asked gently, “Can you talk? Do you speak English?”
Under the gaze of two humans, one of which had her in a palm, Basil wasn’t sure that she’d be able to get a word out at all. Trembling, her gaze flickered, and she nodded.
Felix had been kind. Maybe these two humans would be kind as well.
At Basil’s confirmation, the two humans straightened up, murmuring in surprise. The boy didn’t miss a beat to ask, “What are you?”
The room was beginning to sway from Basil’s onslaught of terror, and feeling quite numb, she forced herself to speak. “Can you… can you put— me down?”
Both humans had to lean in to hear her, sending panic spiraling through Basil’s core, but to her immense relief, they didn’t seem angry at her request. Appearing confused, and a bit sheepish, the redhead leaned forward and lowered his hand to the coffee table.
Basil had never been more relieved. Heart thudding, she all but lunged off of his hand, stumbling over the surface of the table for much longer than necessary. Hugging herself, she kept her gaze low. She couldn’t bring herself to look up at the humans just yet, terrified to even imagine what they might look like from this lower vantage point.
“There, that’s better.” The feminine voice above was gentle, so unlike Alice’s. Basil’s fear slowly began to shift to confusion, struggling to make sense of the situation. “Are you okay?”
Basil’s heart continued to pound. She slowly lifted her gaze, wincing at the uncomfortable sight of two humans peering down at her, elbows on their knees. Fixing her gaze on the female human, she forced out, “I’m— okay.”
She was okay. She was on the brink of tears, terrified out of her mind, but she supposed that she really was unharmed in the presence of two enormous humans.
The humans shared a glance, hesitating, urgency flickering behind their eyes. After struggling with her words for a moment, the female human addressed Basil again, voice unimaginably soft. “We’re not gonna hurt you,” she assured. “My name is Breanna. This is Owen. If you don’t mind me asking, ah— what are you?”
“Are you some kind of fairy or something?” The redhead added, squinting.
Basil took a deep breath. She had known these questions would be coming, but that hadn’t prepared her to answer. Her stomach hurt, her heart was threatening to pound out of her chest, and all she wanted to do was get into the walls and hide forever.
She had a feeling that she wouldn’t be able to leave that easy, however. Alice sure didn’t want the borrowers leaving before they answered her questions properly, and even then she had chosen to trap them in a jar.
“I– I’m not trying to bother anyone,” Basil stammered, mind racing as she tried to assemble a good enough answer without revealing too much about her species. “I’m not a human, and– and I’m not a fairy, either, I– I– I just keep to myself. That’s it.”
Owen’s eyebrows raised, while Breanna tilted her head thoughtfully, brown gaze searching. Basil shuffled her feet.
“A tiny person,” Breanna murmured, mainly to herself and Owen. Her face sharpened, curious. “Do you, ah– do you know a Felix or Alice, by any chance?”
“I…” Basil’s voice wobbled. “I do.”
How much should she tell them? How much did they already know about her?
Breanna and Owen both sucked in a breath, startled. They turned to each other, seeming to communicate without speaking, breaths stuttering as they tried to find words. Basil couldn’t suppress the wave of guilt that washed over her, as if it was her fault that their friends had kept a secret from them.
They don’t just deserve to know about borrowers, just because Felix is their friend, Basil reminded herself. Alice sure didn’t.
“What’s your name?” Owen asked, brow furrowed.
She hesitated, wobbling on her feet, then finally found it within herself to respond, “Basil.”
“Basil,” Owen echoed. The sound of her own name in a human’s mouth made her twitch uneasily. “How do you know Alice and Felix?”
Basil’s increased stress at the continued interrogation must have shown on her face, because before she could answer, Breanna placed a large hand on the coffee table. It was far too close to Basil, and Basil jerked away with a gasp before she processed that it was supposed to be a comforting gesture. Features softening, Breanna spoke. “It’s okay. I know this must be a lot for you. Just take a deep breath.”
A strange feeling settled into Basil’s chest as she glanced between them. She did as she was told, drawing in a breath, the pounding of her heart beginning to subside.
“I’m gonna text Felix and Alice, alright?” Breanna continued, pulling out her phone. “Just–”
“No!”
Basil’s heartbeat skyrocketed all over again, watching as the humans jerked in surprise. Breanna’s hand froze, halfway drawing her phone from her pocket. “What?”
“Don’t tell Alice about me,” Basil said in a rush, eyes wide, “just Felix. Tell Felix.”
The humans both paused, contemplative. A nervous expression flitted over Breanna’s face, glancing at Owen, whose features had sharpened. They both seemed afraid to respond, their own imaginations for what could have occurred with Alice running wild.
“You know that Felix lives here, right?” Owen suggested finally. “Would it make you feel better if we all go visit him?”
Truthfully, Basil would feel better if she went to visit Pepper, but she wasn’t going to tell these humans that her brother lived in Felix’s apartment, too. She wanted to beg to be left alone so that she could make her way to Pepper and Felix’s apartment herself, but it would take hours for her, while it would only take less than a minute for these humans to walk down the hall there.
Oh, god. I can’t believe I’m really doing this.
“Yeah.” Basil nodded weakly. Even if she couldn’t get to Pepper right away, Felix would be sure to help her, somehow, right?
Of course, going to Felix’s meant that she would have to put herself in one of these humans’ hands.
At Basil’s confirmation, Owen nodded, reaching towards her. “Alright, then–”
The enormous hand reaching towards her made Basil’s instincts go haywire, and with a panicked noise she stumbled back. “Wait. Wait.”
Shockingly enough, Owen actually paused, his long fingers hovering above the surface of the table. Basil was frozen, staring at the hand.
When she glanced up at Owen and Breanna, they were frowning, concern etched into their features.
“I’m just picking you up so we can go to Felix’s,” Owen explained, uncertain. His hand twitched.
The breath finally reentered Basil’s body, and she shuddered, bringing a hand to her chest. “Just— just be careful,” she pleaded, a flush crossing her face. “This is a lot for me.” She gestured widely to emphasize her point, feeling slightly self-conscious.
Immediately, the two enormous gazes flickered over her small, shaky form, taking in just how delicate she was. Realization dawned on Owen’s face, and before Basil knew it, his hand had moved next to her, palm facing up, waiting patiently.
“Is this better?” His voice softened. Basil could have cried.
It wasn’t the first time she had willingly stepped into a human’s hand, and although this hand was a bit more intimidating than Felix’s, Basil was proud of herself for not faltering. Her boots wobbled on the thick skin of Owen’s palm.
“Okay,” she confirmed, heart racing. “Let’s go.”
Felix had not been prepared to open his front door to the sight of Basil perched in Owen’s palm.
His hand nearly slipped on the doorknob, jerking back in surprise. He couldn’t stop the wave of panic that coursed through him, suddenly terrified that more of his friends had decided to start kidnapping borrowers against their will, and he instinctively reached a hand forward. “Woah, woah– what’s happening?”
Owen’s brow was furrowed, his gaze focused down on Basil, as if he was trying incredibly hard to keep his hand steady. Breanna hovered nearby, nervous gaze fluttering between the borrower and Felix.
“Hey,” Breanna said awkwardly. “Can we come in?”
Felix’s terror for Basil gradually faded over the next few minutes, as his friends explained what had happened. By some miracle, they seemed to have stumbled upon Basil by accident, and had brought her to Felix’s with the inkling that he might be able to help. Felix didn’t fully relax until Basil was on the kitchen counter, reluctantly expressing her agreement.
Despite her anxious fidgeting and choppy breaths, Basil seemed relatively unhurt. Felix was immensely thankful that Owen and Breanna had been aware of their strength compared to the borrower, something Felix had come to understand weeks ago. Once the strange introductions between them were complete, Breanna and Owen immediately began to interrogate Felix, but he ignored them, focusing back on Basil.
The female borrower was lingering on the counter, watching them, shifting on her feet. The shaky, high-strung movements reminded Felix a bit too much of how Pepper had acted this morning. It seemed that both of them needed a break from humans.
“You don’t have to stay if you don’t want to,” Felix told her gently, causing her to snap her gaze up. “Maybe you should rest.”
His own words brought an uncomfortable feeling into his chest. He prayed Basil understood that he wasn’t trying to be demeaning or patronizing, or that he felt he needed to give her permission to do things; he truly just wanted her to feel better.
Gratefully, Basil only sent him a small smile, shoulders slumping in relief. She bid an awkward farewell to the humans before vanishing behind the toaster with a little too much gusto, no doubt rushing to Pepper’s place to fill him in.
“Okay– what the hell,” Owen finally demanded, dragging a hand through his red hair. Now that the humans were alone, he and Breanna seemed much more comfortable to straighten up and raise their voices. Felix appreciated their subtle efforts to appear non-threatening to Basil. “What the actual hell?”
“She lives here? She lives in the walls?” Breanna asked, aghast.
“Are there more tiny people?”
“This is what you and Alice were fighting about last night, isn’t it?”
Felix threw his hands up, quietly cutting their questions off. Both of his friends had moved closer, shock stricken over their features, needy for answers. He couldn’t really blame them.
“Okay, okay.” He was exhausted, hungover, and thoroughly overwhelmed. With a heavy breath he lowered his hands, steering his friends towards his couch. “It’s a lot to explain.”
Pepper wouldn’t exactly say that he had a good day.
He had started off his day in what he thought to be the worst way possible: out in the open, trapped under a human’s hand. It had taken a few seconds for him to register that it was only Felix, and that he wasn’t in danger, but the initial terror had been difficult to shake.
His morning had been spent helping Felix treat his hangover. There wasn’t much the borrower could actually do for him on his own, but he hoped that his moral support had been enough to lift Felix’s spirits. All the while he had been wracked with memories of being grabbed into a clumsy, drunk hand; the same hand he had been finding comfort and safety in recently.
Throughout the course of the afternoon he had been given bad news and good news; the bad news was that Breanna and Owen now knew about them… the good news, on the other hand, was that Breanna and Owen were surprisingly accepting of the strange little people that lived in Felix’s walls. They had even promised wholeheartedly to keep them a secret, even if they seemed to be a little perplexed by the whole situation.
Now, late in the evening, Pepper sunk into his hammock, Basil curled up beside him, both of them exhausted by the events of the day. The room was dimly lit and incredibly quiet.
“I almost forgot,” Pepper suddenly mumbled into the silence. “I told Felix I’d talk to him.”
Basil’s eyes were closed, hugging a pillow, but she hummed to indicate that she was awake and listening. “Use your soulmate link, then,” she yawned.
Pepper stared at the ceiling. A few months ago, he had planted a glow-in-the-dark star above his hammock, but it was starting to peel off. Chewing his lip, he responded, “No, I need to talk to him in person, I think.”
“Hm… why?”
Heart twisting, Pepper sat up. “I… I slept with him last night.”
Immediately, Basil shot up, blinking rapidly at him. As she sputtered in shock, Pepper flushed scarlet.
“No, no– not like that,” he explained haphazardly, blushing harder as Basil burst into laughter. He shoved her impatiently. “I just fell asleep on his bed. That’s it.”
He neglected some of the major details, such as the fact that Felix had been incredibly drunk. The specifics of the story could wait.
Basil raised her eyebrows, amusement still dancing behind her eyes. “So, what, you took a nap with your boyfriend and now you’re embarrassed?”
“He’s not my boyfriend,” Pepper said hotly, turning away. “I don’t– I don’t really know what we are.”
A soft expression crossed Basil’s face at that, while Pepper had been expecting more teasing. His sister gently bumped his shoulder with her knuckles, earning a surprised noise from Pepper. “Go talk to him,” Basil murmured, sinking back into the hammock.
Thirty minutes later, Pepper found himself standing on Felix’s nightstand, wracked with uncertainty. Felix had gone to bed earlier than Pepper had expected, clearly exhausted from his terrible hangover and the day’s stressful events.
Felix slept on his side, facing Pepper. The hill of his shoulder was visible in the dim lighting, trailing down to his enormous hand resting directly in front of his chest, drawing in long, heavy breaths. His face, half obscured by his pillow, finally had no traces of stress or tension. It brought a warm feeling into Pepper’s heart to see Felix so relaxed.
Pepper suddenly felt weird, standing on Felix’s nightstand and staring at him while he slept. He wrung his hands, gaze dancing, briefly wondering if he should just go home and try again tomorrow.
But… he really didn’t want to trek all the way home just yet. At least, not until he did what he came here for.
Feeling silly, Pepper cleared his throat. “F–Felix?”
The massive form stirred, but didn’t respond. Pepper tried again, taking a step closer, heart racing. “Er– Felix?”
The bed creaked as Felix shifted. A blue eye flickered open, adjusting for a moment before focusing on Pepper, half-lidded. On instinct, the borrower stepped back, heart fluttering.
Felix released a sleepy exhale, turning his head slightly. “Pepper?”
“Hey.” Pepper released the breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding, suddenly grateful that Felix hadn’t reacted negatively to being woken up.
“It’s late,” Felix murmured, gaze flickering towards the alarm clock behind Pepper. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah. Everything’s okay. I just wanted to talk to you.” Pepper stepped towards the edge of the nightstand, evaluating the gap between it and the bed. Sucking a sharp breath, Pepper leapt over the gap and onto Felix’s mattress, stumbling on the plush surface and tossing his hands out for balance. When he glanced up, Felix was watching him curiously, silenced by the sudden close proximity between them.
“Thanks for handling the situation with Owen and Breanna,” Pepper commented, placing his hands on Felix’s pillow and hoisting himself up. When he finally squirmed into a seated position, he was only a few inches away from Felix, who had sunk further away into the pillow as if he was afraid of the borrower, a positively silly thought. “I… I still can’t believe they caught Basil.”
“Is she okay?” Felix asked quietly, lashes fluttering. Pepper felt the light breeze of his voice.
“Yeah. She was a little shaken up, but Owen and Breanna seem like decent people… How much did you tell them, anyways?”
Felix drew his bottom lip between his teeth, taking a moment to recall. After a few seconds he shifted until he was laying on his back, gazing at the ceiling. Pepper did the same.
“They already figured out some of it on their own. They know that there are more of you than just Basil, and that you live in the walls of this building, but that’s basically it.”
“Do they know that we’re soulmates?”
“No.”
“…Maybe you should tell them.”
Pepper felt the pillow shift under him as Felix turned his head, blue eyes inquisitive. “You think so?”
Pepper spared him a glance. “I mean, it can’t be a secret forever, can it?”
A comfortable silence fell over them at that, as Felix peered back up at the ceiling, considering. Once Pepper decided that the soft whirr of the air conditioning was too quiet for him, he sat up, turning fully towards Felix.
“I know that this can’t be easy,” Pepper stated calmly. Felix blinked. “I don’t know if we’re the first pair of human-borrower soulmates to ever exist, but it definitely puts more pressure on you than it does for me. You have a life outside of the apartment— friends, school— and I’m sorry that you have to balance me along with it.”
At Felix’s surprised silence, Pepper continued, leaning closer. “I feel like I’ve put so much responsibility on you since I met you. Our size difference means that you have to always be so careful, and never make mistakes, and that’s a lot to ask of you. So… thank you, for everything you’ve done for me.”
Felix flushed as he took in Pepper’s words, unable to pull his gaze away from him. “What are you talking about?” He asked, barely breathing with the borrower so close to his face. “You’re not just some burden. I care about you.”
Pepper observed him for a moment, heart fluttering. Felix’s cheeks were tinged with pink, so close to the borrower, and he felt the strange need to reach his hand out towards him.
Filled with a sudden resolve, Pepper sat up, moving closer to Felix. He paused, taking a moment to appreciate the way Felix froze completely before he leaned forward and placed a small kiss on the tip of Felix’s nose. When he pulled back, Felix had gone scarlet.
Pepper’s heart warmed. He stepped back, holding back a laugh at how Felix released the breath he had been holding.
“You should go to sleep,” he murmured. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Thank you to everyone who has read this chapter. Please let me know what your thoughts are. I'd love to hear your feedback. Thank you once again.
Tumblr media
In the world of secret societies for underground criminals, there's a secret place for criminals to stay, a shop for criminals to buy their weapons, basically, criminals live like normal people but they can only go to places that are built for criminals.
That's the rule.
There's also a particular psychiatrist for criminals only. Since many of the criminals have demons in their minds.
For this job, Dr. Ben is the only person the criminals could go to and ask for advice and medicine so they could go to sleep. Most of them can sleep.
But the only person who has trouble is Bucky Barnes.
His name is enough to make everyone in the underworld shiver. His eyes are enough to make his opponents freeze.
Bucky is their answer if anyone wants a job done without any mistakes.
With the money from the job he finished, he could have a comfortable life for generations. But he doesn't need it because all he wants right now is to sleep.
"I tried what you told me. Work out until I'm tired, learn something new, clean all my weapons, upgrade my car, renovate my house with bulletproofing, sex," Bucky said while he lay on the couch, looking at the ceiling.
Dr. Ben kept writing while listening to his patient.
"I even went to pottery class, baking class, painting class, and sex," Bucky counted on his fingers.
"Still. Nothing works. I still can't sleep. It's been 7 years," Bucky said.
Dr. Ben, who kept writing, replied, "Yeah, you have mentioned sex multiple times."
"White noise, pink noise. In the end, I smashed the Bluetooth speaker. None of your methods work," Bucky said as he sat up and glared at Dr. Ben.
Dr. Ben adjusted his reading glasses. He remained calm, probably one of the few people not afraid even though Bucky was angry.
He clicked his pen and put the report on the table.
"Do you want to try reading fairy tale books?" Dr. Ben asked.
Bucky pinched the bridge of his nose. "Are you joking with me?"
Dr. Ben replied, "Most of you people have a shitty childhood. Have shitty parents. Perhaps deep down, your kind wants something related to fulfilling your inner child."
Bucky exclaimed, "Woah, doctor, calm down. You're brutally honest here." He sighed, because he knew this method will failed like the rest. "Fine. I'll try." Then he lay back on the couch and closed his eyes.
Dr. Ben picked a children's book and started to read, he flipped through the pages, and began to read aloud, "Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a brave little mouse named Timothy."
"Timothy was no ordinary mouse," Dr. Ben continued, "for he possessed a heart as courageous as a lion and a determination that could move mountains."
"Stop. Stop. It's so weird listening to you. Get someone else," Bucky interrupted, feeling uncomfortable.
Dr. Ben closed the book. "I'll get my apprentice."
Bucky raised an eyebrow. "You've got a new one?" He knew that none of Dr. Ben's employees stayed that long, given the fear of criminals who kept coming for therapy.
Dr. Ben adjusted his glasses. "She could tame Bruce Banner; I think she could do the same to you."
Bucky rolled his eyes. "Fine."
Dr. Ben got up from his seat and opened his office door. "Y/N, help me for a bit," he called out.
Bucky heard a melodious voice respond, "Yes?"
The door swung open, revealing a woman with a confident stride and a calm demeanor. She had striking eyes that seemed to hold a depth of understanding, framed by a cascade of dark hair that fell gracefully around her shoulders.
Her posture exuded poise and assurance, hinting at a quiet strength within. She carried herself in professional attire with an air of authority, yet there was warmth in her expression as she met Bucky's gaze.
As you approach your boss, he suddenly puts a children's book in your hand.
You look at him, puzzled. "Huh?"
Dr. Ben pointed at Bucky and explained, "This person can't sleep for years. So I want to see if reading a children's story could make him fall asleep."
Bucky huffs in frustration. As a top assassin in the underworld, it's humiliating if he can only fall asleep with a children's book. "Just do it."
You flinch, knowing the man in front of you is dangerous.
Dr. Ben pats your shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, he's just cranky. I'll be here too. I need to see if it's working or not."
"Okay," you respond, then sit in the chair near Bucky's couch.
Before opening the book, you can't help but notice the tattoos on his neck and hands.
"Are you done staring?" Bucky asks, irritation evident in his voice.
"Oh, right, I'm sorry," you apologize quickly. "I'll start reading. Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a brave little mouse named Timothy. Timothy was no ordinary mouse, for he possessed a heart as courageous as a lion and a determination that could move mountains."
As you continue reading, Bucky listens intently, his eyes focused on the ceiling as he tries to relax.
"Despite his small size," you continue, "Timothy dreamed of embarking on great adventures and proving himself to be the bravest mouse in all the land."
Bucky's tense expression begins to soften slightly as he listens to the soothing cadence of your voice.
"One day," you narrate, "a fierce dragon threatened the kingdom, causing panic among the inhabitants. But Timothy, undeterred by the danger, volunteered to confront the dragon and save his home."
Bucky's breathing starts to slow down as he gets engrossed in the tale, his earlier restlessness fading away.
"With unwavering courage," you go on, "Timothy faced the dragon, armed only with his wits and determination. And through his bravery and quick thinking, he managed to outsmart the fearsome beast and bring peace back to the kingdom."
As you reach the end of the story, Bucky's eyes grow heavy, and he finally begins to drift off to sleep, a sense of calm settling over him.
Dr. Ben watches silently, nodding in approval as he sees the story's effect on Bucky. It seems that, perhaps, there is power in the simplest of tales to soothe even the most troubled minds.
Bucky's eyes felt heavy. The childish story and your calm voice made him feel relaxed. Your voice seemed more effective than white noise in soothing his troubled mind. As he listened, the tension in his muscles gradually melted away, replaced by a sense of peace and tranquility.
Tumblr media
Then Bucky opened his eyes, only to realize he wasn't in the same place in Dr. Ben's office anymore. He found himself on a bed inside an unknown room. Panic surged through him.
Had he been kidnapped?
It would bring shame to his name as the feared killer if true.
As he processed his surroundings, Bucky's hand instinctively went for his knife, ready to defend himself. But soon, he recognized the familiar surroundings of Dr. Ben's building. Relief washed over him, though he remained on edge.
A door creaked open, causing Bucky to tense, his grip tightening on the knife. But to his surprise, it was just Dr. Ben.
"Did you have a good sleep?" Dr. Ben asked calmly.
Bucky clicked his tongue in annoyance and massaged his shoulder. "No. Your methods didn't work. I'm still tired."
"Well, that's natural since you've been asleep for three days," Dr. Ben replied matter-of-factly.
Three days?!
He can't believe it, since he has only been able to sleep for one hour each night for the past seven years. Bucky's eyes widened in disbelief as he checked his phone, seeing the date and numerous missed calls and unread messages.
"It worked?" he muttered, incredulous. He had been able to sleep and hadn't even realized it.
Bucky's amazement lingered as he realized that he had slept for three whole days without even being aware of it. It was a stark contrast to the years of insomnia he had endured, struggling to find even a moment of rest.
The tension that had plagued his body for so long began to ebb away, replaced by a newfound sense of calmness and clarity. He couldn't deny the relief that washed over him, knowing that perhaps, just perhaps, there was hope for him yet.
Then, there was a knock on the door. It was you.
"How is he, doctor? Is he still asleep?" you asked, but you gasped when Bucky's intense gaze met yours.
Was he angry? Did he blame you for making him sleep for three days?
"Y/N, is it?" Bucky inquired.
You responded groggily, "Yes?"
Bucky got on his knees, his right hand resting on his left chest and his left hand reaching for you. He looked at you earnestly and asked, "Will you work for me?"
You were taken aback, as was Dr. Ben. Bucky's unexpected gesture felt like it could lead to a significant misunderstanding, resembling a proposal rather than a job offer.

Hunter noceda dating hcs !!
A/n: I only watched the episodes with hunter in this bc I didn't feel like re watching the entire thing for the 3rd time
Warnings: a little rushed bc the first draft got deleted :(
Enjoy!
Okay
So hunter.
Gods he is so sweet
He's head over heels in love with you
From the moment he first saw you
He knew he was doomed
Mostly because the emperors coven has things against relationships
(In my personal hc don't hurt me)
Especially with wild witches
And also because he thought you were too good for him
And he is so scared of disobeying belos
(He doesn't wanna get hurt again.)
Especially with him already hiding flapjack
And he's head over heels in love with you
When he does his rebel thingy
Like after he goes into belos' mind
He goes to you
Whether you're a wild witch, a witch in a coven, a demon/monster, or in the emperors coven and worked alongside him
He's coming to you
Shaking, crying, unable to speak from the realizations he's come to
You try calming him down
Eventually it does work but he passes out in your arms eventually
Anyways
Hunter is like a lost puppy dog
Always at your heels
He's following you everywhere
Can't find hunter?
Go find yn he's with them
And if he's not with you
(Which is very rare)
He's either under a tree reading
It's probably about his special interest at the time
Wolves, wild witches/history of ye olde magic and witches
(Bc let's be honest this boy is autistic)
(We love him dearly tho)
Or he's carving palismen for new witches
(If it's set post-basically everything)
He's such a gentleman
Opening doors for you, being oh so polite
He does that little standing thing before you sit down at the table
Even is it's in a booth at a resturant
Or dinner at Camilas
He's also such a romantic
Luz or Camila probably showed him a bunch of cheesy romance movies
And he probably found a few books too
He reads/watches those like the holy scripture of winning you over
Bringing you roses because he thinks those are the most romantic
Picnic dates, fancy restaurants
Slowly leaning in to kiss like the lady and the tramp
Then poof
He's back in the real world.
He daydreams so much about you
It's almost weird
if he did confess the way he wanted to
He would make that little trail of rose petals,
Leading to a picnic with candles and fairy lights
(Guys idk shit abt romance is this good)
And he asks you to be his bf/gf/s.o without stuttering and in the cutest most romantic way possible
That's not how it happens tho
It's probably when ur really stressed with something
And you're annoyed at every little thing,
every noise that's made within 50 feet of you I'd unbearable
He slowly walks into ur room/workspace
"Yn...?"
"What?!"
He's on the verge of tears at your tone
It reminds him of belos when he was angry with him
He gets through it anyway
"I um... I like you ...? I-i ..I like you a lot like–like... I like you, yn."
"Oh titan, hunter..."
Of course you say you have the same feelings for him
You have to reassure this baby that it's okay and your sorry for snapping a little
Cuz he was about to cry
Anyways once you guys are in a relationship
He's really really touchy
But also flinching at every small touch
You have to take it really slow with him
Asking for consent everytime you hold his hand or to hug him
Eventually he warms up to you
Expect hugs from behind
A lot.
All the time.
Every minute.
He loves hugging you
And he loves cuddling you
So so so much
Nuzzling into your neck with happy, content sighs, laying on your stomach
I think he would love just. Rubbing his face on every part of your body
Seems kinda weird but it makes sense in my head
he's just a little guy‼️
I would say it's a wolf thing that he picked up on while reading but idk if that's true
Anyways he loves you so much
Give him reassurance often
(Take care of him or else🔫)

Tiny skk adventures asks!! tiny lore and stuff
Tumblr media
fanart of any kind is always welcome. I always say that when people use others' ideas in fandom, it's much more nicer to say so, out of respect and community. And I want to see!! If it inspires your own twist on a similar idea, you're free to decide if you want to mention me or not, that's another subject.
The tinies are more like... mirror versions of their big selves that have been detached. Like daemons or fairies. They have the same life experiences, personalities, emotions, connections, likes or dislikes. Just... more raw? not innocent, but maybe a bit naive? less filtered? They are very small and everything is a lot. The way they react to things might not be an exact 1:1 with how the big ones would react, but it's a good indicator nonetheless.
As for your examples, wounds wouldn't transfer, but their reactions to being hurt would be basically the same. Being sick is different, since it could be contagious. In that case, Tinyzai would have a harder time hiding how bad he feels compared to big Dazai, so even if they are equally sick, it would be more obvious on Tinyzai. This logic could be extended to how they feel emotionally (if a situation makes them stressed, happy, sad, angry, etc.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@dreamsicle262 - @oribun
First of all thank you for making me look up foxes purring because I didn't know that and it's great. They don't purr the proper way cats do (they just can't), but they do make a lot of happy noises, including a "purring" rumbling. The answer to both asks is yes they absolutely do have some corresponding animal characteristics. I have a comic about this with Tinyzai I've been meaning to finish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
@circuslemon
This is basically the first Tiny skk comic I made, with the cranky, tired and bored tinies were forcibly put in proximity and ended up all snuggled together. You saw how the big ones reacted. But the big guys would NEVER ask to cuddle on the couch. How embarrassing. They don't even have animal instincts or their smallness to blame it on. (that's another comic idea I need to get onto)

🦋🪲 More of the Fairy au! How Phee met Tech, and soon after the rest of his family. Snippet written by @clownery-and-fuckery >:] 🪲🦋
Tumblr media
Phee blew out a relieved breath as she landed inside the building undetected. "Great work, me." She muttered to herself, before turning to the long hallway, adjusting the mask that hid the lower half of her face. "Now, where's this score of yours, Hemlock?"
She snuck down the hall, peeking into the rooms. Most rooms were bare- some lone displays of insects scattered across tables, or hung to the wall. Some were half finished, some hadn't started yet. Phee shuddered, and kept moving. She hated those display cases.
A soft sound caught her attention. It sounded almost sad, and Phee paused, turning towards where she heard the noise from.
It didn't sound all that dangerous, and it wasn't like she was going to find this score on her own, given how fruitless her search had been until now. A detour to investigate the sound seemed harmless.
She slowly inched down a small staircase, finding a lone door. It was bolted shut, but Phee had no trouble picking the lock.
She slowly opened the door, wincing at the creak, but freezing at the stifled gasp. Crap, someone actually was inside- she quickly went to shut the door, but an oddly squeaked voice caught her by surprise.
It didn't sound young, but it- Phee frowned, and peeked inside. Better get this interaction done and over with, it wasn't like there was a place to hide out in the hall.
"Hello?" Phee called quietly. "Is someone in here?"
She froze at the door. In front of her was a long table, littered with tools and sharp scalpels. Pinned on a display case, was a bug? Poor thing must be next in line. Phee frowned, looking closer.
There was a soft glow from the bug, but the way it squirmed confused her. It didn't wriggle like a normal bug, and the way it was squeaking... if Phee listened close enough, it sounded nearly human.
"No way." Phee gasped, feeling childish for even thinking it. "You're a- fairy?"
Well, he definitely looked like one. From the stories Phee had heard, at least. She crept closer, watching him carefully. She was almost startled by his stifled sniff before he began squirming in earnest, trying to wriggle away from her before he winced in pain.
Right- the wire that pinned him were too tight, they were wrapped around his wrists, legs and throat- along with a jagged pair of pins delicately stuck through his wings, holding him down by the stomach. Every movement must hurt him.
"Oh, you poor thing-" Phee whispered, approaching faster. "–here, let me—"
The fairy stared up at her, eyes wide and terrified as he tried to squirm away from her touch. "I'm not gonna hurt you," She assured. "I'm not Hemlock. I'm actually looking to steal from him. You haven't seen any cool artefacts, have you little guy?"
The fairy stilled, eyeing her only for a moment before taking a breath. "There's a cool, uhm- in the room beside us." He told her, voice small. "I can show you, if- can you let me out please?"
Phee startled hard. "Woah," She breathed. "You can talk."
The fairy frowned. "So can you?" He pointed out, almost timidly as he eyed her carefully. He didn't seem to trust her.
Phee softened. She could understand that, if Hemlock was the human he was stuck with. "Of course," She nodded, hands gentle as she could manage as she pulled the pins from his wings. He winced, biting hard on his lip as she finally freed them.
"Thank you," He mumbled, breathless, seeming to slump into the case he was trapped against. He sounded like he was in pain, and Phee felt her heart clench.
"Come on, little guy." She decided. "I'm gonna get you out of here."
His eyes snapped open, and he stared up at her. "Really?" He squeaked. "You- you mean it?"
"Sure." She shrugged. "You don't deserve to be stuck here. Let me just–"
She reached forward, carefully untangling the fairy from the wire that held him so tight. It was cutting into his skin, leaving angry red marks along his limbs. She sighed sadly as he was finally freed.
He immediately slumped further, falling into the palms of her hands. She cupped him gently, raising him away from the horrible table.
"Poor thing," She murmured. "C'mon, let's get you out of here–"

The Beast You’ve Made Of Me.
Tumblr media
Premise: After moving to the town of San Dimas in 1990, you figured it was nothing more but a small town filled with like minded drama. You’ve been uprooted mid senior year because of your “behavioral problems”, as your mother would put it, and it hasn’t been easy fitting in. Lucky you, you find the one person there you can really trust, your sweet and loving boyfriend Ted. It’s the night of a big party out in the woods, one last hurrah before the end of your senior year, and you debut you and Ted as a couple. The drama from that gossip turns out to be the least of your worries when your boyfriend is dragged away mid smoke sesh by something from the woods. When he reappears later, distant, and uninterested in seeing you, you begin to wonder what’s really going on. You soon learn that the town of San Dimas, California is hiding more secrets than you thought.
One thing you know for sure, you have to be careful when the moon is full…

“Isn't it supposed to rain tonight?” You overhear one of the other party goers say shyly as pewter clouds churn overhead.
“Yeah, but it ain’t raining yet!” One of the ‘future-frat-boy’ seniors belts out followed by the howls of his pack, otherwise known as the San Dimas football team.
“Well, you know what they say about being out on a full moon…” One of the popular girls complains in a whiny tone, allowing an in for the jocks to make fun of her which for all they know could be flirting.
“Ohhh, someone's scared of the big bad wolf?” They tease while mimicking wolfish noises loudly.
Despite the stars being blocked out by threatening storm clouds, the full moon rules bright between tuffs of gray, an amber ring echoing around it. You watch it, perplexed by its color, not watching your step as you hike towards the lodge. Your white converse hits an uncovered mossy root and for a second you think you will already start to embarrass yourself for the night by falling in front of everyone.
Then, a gentle hand helps to steady your elbow, the other resting on your lower back, your tight, cream crop top exposing the skin there.
“Hey, easy now…” You hear the soft tones of your boyfriend's voice whisper to you.
You turn towards him, a small smile pulling at the corners of your glossy lips as you look into his comforting brown eyes. He returns the smile and gives your cheek a gentle peck.
You and Ted haven’t been dating long, you didn’t have the chance to.
After everything that happened at your last school, your mother thought best to pull you out in the middle of your senior year and plant you here in San Dimas, California.
It was different from what you were used to, and in other ways all the same. The clique-y drama, rumors that somehow snowball out of control, and your mother’s expectations of you being the perfect preppy daughter, her highschool mini me. Only problem was the move and your reputation nullified any chance at being prom queen, valedictorian, or dating the quarterback. Hey, at least you managed to make the cheerleading squad and your grades up. That seemed to keep her off your back for the most part.
Sure, your mother still doesn’t know you are dating one of the San Dimas High School’s resident stoners, but she wouldn’t understand anyways. Ted was an escape from the prim and proper world of suburbia, someone who liked to have fun and be himself, not to mention completely head over heels for you. It felt good to be loved, felt good to have a home in him.
You watch as fairy lights cast a glow behind him, almost throwing a little halo in his dark brown hair. You feign confidence as members of the SDHS’s student body watch you walk in with Ted, a few whispers already happening behind red solo cups. As you two go through the cabin to the back yard, you can tell Ted notices your tension rise, and his thumb creates comforting circles on your skin.
“Say the word, and we’ll go.” His voice says low and slow in your ear, breath tickling you there.
You give a small head shake, and Ted nods, keeping on as if he has no worries. The happy-go-lucky energy he gives off calms you. You lean into him, sweeping your long ponytail away from your neck.
Up until now, Ted Logan had mainly been a secret you kept all to yourself, but the prying eyes around you could never make you doubt how good of a boyfriend he was. You were too in love not to be confident about that.
______
The bonfire that the football team constructed was actually quite impressive, you had to give them credit there since manual labor was their forte. You snuggle into Ted’s orange jacket that he’s wrapped around you, inhaling the scent of cheap body spray and marijuana. The warmth of the fire prickles your cheeks as Ted strategically toasts a marshmallow beside you. Your chin finds a home on his shoulder, relaxing into his body.
The chatter of the rest of the party drones on with bursts of laughter cutting up the monotones. You know that this isn’t the usual crowd for Ted, but he seems at home as ever, whispering little jokes to you as he enjoys the night despite cross looks from others. You’re sure there will be more talk on Monday about how you don’t deserve to be on the cheer squad if you’re going to be hanging out with burnouts and stoners like Ted Logan, but that doesn't matter. It was only a week before the end of the year, and then you’d be free of highschool forever. Tonight, you were going to enjoy being a senior with your boyfriend without shame.
”Hey,” Ted leans into you, holding out a perfectly brown marshmallow and gently popping it in your mouth when you open it. “Do you wanna go smoke? There’s a little dock to the lake that I know…”
He looks at you with a shy half-smile, and despite the fact that he knows you like getting high just as much as him, he still acts nervous to ask one of the cheerleaders to do something so improper. You nod, mouth full of sweet marshmallow fluff, and let him help you stand up. No one really notices when the two of you slip away from the beacon of light and into the dark forest full of summer greens.
Ted guides you, the trail a bit hard to see in the dark, but not impossible.
“It’s not too far away from here,” You hear him say beside you, as well as the other night noises of the forest humming along.
You let him take your hand into his warm one, an arm wrapped around the small of your waist to keep you safe from almost falling once more. You don’t know what it is about Ted, but you just trust him. Like, completely, utterly trust him despite only knowing him for a few months. He’s not like the other boys at school, who you have to watch your drink with, have to be careful of ending up alone with. No, Ted really only has your best interest in mind, and you feel safe with him right now.
That’s why when you hear a low howl off in the distance you cling into his body, freezing up for a moment.
“What was that?” You say, trying not to let the tinge of panic rise in your voice.
“Probably just a coyote,” Ted starts to explain, his voice soft and soothing.
“It sounded like a wolf…” You whisper as another howl responds to the first.
“Wolves aren’t usually out this way,” Ted reassures with a small laugh. “And we’re only a five minute walk away from everyone else. Three if we run.”
“Do we have to run?” You try to look up at his face, but the moonlight is concealed by the clouds at the moment, so all you see is shadows.
“No, no,” He backpedaled. “We’re going to be fine, babe. Just the sounds of the forest, is all.”
You feel his hand gently rubbing your back, and the motion calms you down. You take a deep breath, and let him keep walking you forward. Soon enough, you walk through a clearing, and the world seems to open up once more from the claustrophobia of the forest.
The lake ebbs and flows, making splashing noises against the dark rocks on its coast. You can barely tell what’s in there, the water a deep color of black, small sparklings shining off as the moon begins to find its way out once more.
Your shoes knock against the wood of the docks, creaking as you make your way down, eyes starting to get used to the dark. You take a seat at the end letting your legs dangle off the edge. You settle in, slipping your converse and socks off, your feet dipping into the cool water. Your previous fear in the forest starts to settle down as you listen to the calming waters.
Ted gently opens his jacket that you’re still wearing, and pulls a joint and a lighter from the inner pocket, giving you a kiss after as if he’s thankful that you let him grab it. You watch as his face lights up from the small orange glow of the lighter, the joint hanging lazily out of the corner of his mouth. For a second, you feel a blush coming up to your cheeks as you appreciate how adorable he looks.
He takes a deep inhale of the joint, holding it in for a second, then coming closer. You know what he wants to do, and welcome his soft, full lips onto yours. He parts your lips slowly, letting you feel the smoke from his lungs exhale into yours, tendrils of smoke floating up from the spaces your lips didn’t fully close around. You let his air fill your lungs, then deepen the kiss while trying not to let any spill out. Finally, you must pull away, breathing out once more and feeling heat in more than just your cheeks.
This little ritual of yours continues until you hear something rustling in the brush behind you. Your eyes feel warm and heavy, and you slowly turn your attention towards the sound, the dark of the night keeping whatever’s there hidden.
“Did you hear that?” You say without turning towards Ted.
“Hear what?” Ted’s voice is soft and lazy.
You say nothing, trying to force your ears to hear something within the hum of the night. The feeling of the hair on the back of your neck raises, a sense of being watched beginning to flood your body.
Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
“I think someone’s out there…” You try to speak as quietly as possible.
“Probably someone else from the party trying to find somewhere quiet.” Ted whispers back, then calls out towards the noise. “Hey! Spot already taken, find a new one, dudes!”
You know your boyfriend isn’t trying to be dismissive, not trying to make the fear in you rise, but you find yourself trying to hush him anyways. He stands from the edge of the dock, and you find yourself pulling your feet from the lake, water dripping onto the wood.
A low growl escapes the tree line.
“Ted, I don’t think that’s another student.” Your hands are already clutching his forearm, and with another snarl from the darkness, you feel Ted take a step back.
Both of you are wordless, unmoving as a pair of yellow eyes glint in the moonlight from the overgrown brush.
“Ted…” You don’t know what he could even do, but he was your only solace now as the blood in your body beats harder.
Those yellow eyes flick towards you, the sound of your voice and the tremble in your legs already sorting you out as the weaker one. Ted’s arm pulls over your chest protectively, and feel his body brace.
“Can you swim?” His never serious tone has flipped on its head.
“Y-yes.” Is all you can say, fear taking hold in your legs, freezing them to the spot.
You don’t have much time to think as something your eyes can’t even comprehend stalks from the forest towards you. It had the face of a wolf, muzzle too long, teeth too sharp, body too human. Its teeth are bared and ready, hands ending in dark, thick claws. In the split second before its legs are ready to pounce, you feel Ted’s arm push against your chest.
In one moment, you’re frozen to your spot, fear pulsing through you as this creature breaks out in a run, eyes set on you. In the next, the cold, dark lake is taking the breath from your lungs and you watch helplessly as Ted intervenes the wolf from chasing after you. Just as you sink under the blanket of water around you, those sharp, white teeth are glinting in the moonlight and sinking into the shoulder of your boyfriend. Your lovely, sweet, kind boyfriend.
Water fills your mouth, preventing the scream from escaping.
You don’t even want to resurface, don’t even want to fight, but you know you must. Your muscles tense with strength you don’t want to give, arms wildly clutching for support you can’t find. You break through the water with a gasp, choking out the disgusting, earthy taste of the lake from your throat. Your eyes try to find your boyfriend in the darkness, your ears already hear his screaming being dragged farther and farther away from you, snarls interjecting until you hear nothing.
The moon shines down on you, a silent watcher to the night events. The sound of the water slapping against the dock and the cicadas calling out is all you can make out. The horror filling inside you has no escape, nowhere to go, falling deeper and deeper into the pit of your stomach. You float aimlessly, and when you find yourself on shaking legs, gingerly stepping out of the water, you can’t even remember how you got there.
When you stumble back towards the noise of the party, the warm light of the bonfire, no one even notices at first as you make your way there. Your arms held tight around each other, Ted’s orange jacket cold and stuck to your wet skin. Your short, flowy skirt is now suctioned against your bare thighs, and your ponytail drips down your back. You don’t even notice Ted’s blood mixing with lake water on your legs. An arm on your shoulder stops your shuttering walk, and you turn to see the concerned faces of the rest of the party.
“What happened?” One of them asks, concern genuine.
“Oh my god, is that blood?” Someone recoils from the sight.
“You’re soaking wet, where were you?” Along with other hushed inquiries.
You try to speak, but your lip just quivers without answers. The world seems too bright and big by the fire, too many faces in the sea of people beginning to huddle around you, and you doubt even half of them care about you for more than just the gossip. You recoil from hands that are seemingly forever trying to guide you somewhere.
“It…got him.” Is all you could muster as you’ve somehow found yourself sat in the dirt by the fire.
Silence follows after you speak, then hushed tones create a simmering symphony in the small crowd.
“Who? That-that…” they try to remember who you came to the party with, but you know this crowd never even cared to learn Ted’s name. “That boy you were with?”
You don’t get time to answer as a scream breaks out from the edge of the crowd.
“It’s him!” You hear a few people call.
The crowd thins out to look at what new, shiny piece of gossip for Monday they can find, and that’s when you see him.
Ted.
Your loving, wonderful boyfriend, stumbling in from the tree line. You stand, dry dirt caked on your legs, creating stains you’ll never be able to explain to your mom. You don’t even know what to do at first, you watch, feeling as if you’re looking at a ghost. You were so sure he was gone. Tears prick your red eyes, and soon enough they’re falling down your face as you’re running to him.
You see the weariness in Ted’s tired, dark eyes, his mop of brown hair haphazardly in his face, and he leans into you for support when you reach him. You can see the rips in his shirt, see the blood looking black as night, so you reach up a worried hand to apply pressure to his shoulder. All you feel is smooth, tan skin under your fingertips.
“Ted?” Worry furrows your brow.
“I’m alright,” his breath seems heavy, skin sweaty to the touch.
He looks up and sees the crowd, and to your surprise you see his teeth bared, from pain or something else, you don’t know. Then he speaks, low, almost growling, to you.
“Let’s get out of here.”
–-----
You expect the last Monday before summer to be a buzz with rumors of Friday night, that when you walk into school there will be looks, questions, people who can't even begin to understand what really happened out there. As you pass the threshold into the hot halls of San Dimas High, it's as if people are recoiling from you.
Lockers are shut, whispers halt mid sentence, and no one wants to look you in the eye. You feel completely outcast from even pretending to be normal.
What's worse, you haven't heard from Ted since you dropped him off at his house. You haven’t even returned his rusty old van, and he loves that van. You called his line a million times, and no one picked up, not even his dad to tell you to stop calling so much. Helpless doesn't even begin to describe how you feel.
You know how he looked when you dropped him off. Sweat dripping from his hair, his body hot to the touch, hotter than you thought possible. He would try to suppress groans as he directed you to his house, yet insisted on not taking him to the hospital. He stumbled into his door, slamming it behind him before you could even push your way in. You stood there, hair still wet, the cicadas singing a sad chorus to how pitiful you felt.
That was the last time you saw him.
Now, on Monday, as you approach the locker you traded with someone to be closer to his, you half expect him to be there, goofy grin and all making your morning better. Of course, there his locker was, plastered in band stickers and graffiti and…lonely. You hold Ted’s orange jacket closer to you, not having taken it off since Friday. You know how it must look, but you need it. Need to feel like he’s here with you, smell his cheap cologne on the collar, fiddle with the old bic lighter in the pocket.
You feel all eyes on you as you put your things away, but no one says a word. You feel as if you may burst into tears right there from the stress of it all when the bell rings, making you jump. Everyone knows you’re on edge now.
Classes go on, and the silence gets less and less. By lunch, hushed rumors are stirring as you try to find somewhere to sit in peace. You consider taking your tray of unappealing slop to the cheerleaders table, but of course, your typical spot is taken by someone else, signaling that you’re unwelcome. You find half of a table to sit at, and try to make it seem like you're busy by pushing around your food and gingerly biting into a red apple. It tastes like mush.
“I don’t think we'll see him before the end of school.”
“My dad says this happens every few years…”
“Yeah! Mine said his cousin went out on a full moon when they were kids and never came back…”
“Well, I guess the San Dimas curse strikes again.”
“You don't really believe that do you?”
“Either way, that guy’s probably dead.”
“Not that big of a loss, he was a burn out anyways.”
You're standing before you know it, sick of listening to everyone speculate on the person you love most, the only person here who ever cared to get to know who you really were underneath it all. Your tray is promptly dumped and the cafeteria goes hush as you walk with tears falling down your cheeks. You burst through the large, metal doors, and your sneakers squeak as they take you away.
Soon enough, you’re ditching. You know it’s more than possible that your mother will hear about this, and of course, berate you for old habits. If you’re lucky, maybe they won’t care at the end of the year. Either way, you have to know, have to find the answers that kept you from finding a wink of sleep these past 48 hours. You burst out of the school into the hot, humid air outside. Everything smells thick after the rain of the weekend, petrichor and musky. You don’t even have a car, you just let your feet beat on the hot pavement towards Ted’s house.
You two have walked back to his place countless times since you moved here, especially since you could never take him back to your house. The world is a blur of neighborhoods and mid-afternoon traffic. You don’t stop until your hand is raised at Ted’s door, ready to pound, but before you can even lay a knuckle there, the door opens, just a slice.
“Ted?” You whisper, knowing his dad is at work now, and his little brother in school.
A moment passes without a word from the otherside of the door. Maybe his dad is home, maybe something bad really did happen. You hope more than anything it’s him.
”I can’t come out.” You hear his voice, raspy and low, and for a moment you don’t think it’s really him.
“What?” You ask puzzled, moving your head to try to get a better look inside the small sliver of door that’s open. “What do you mean? Are you okay?”
“I’m not feeling well. I don’t want to…” He pauses for a long moment. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
Hurt me? What the hell does he mean by that?
“Ted, you won’t hurt me, I don’t care if you’re sick, I just wanna make sure you’re okay!” You begin to ramble, anything that keeps him talking, and potentially lets you see him.
“Go home, babe.” You can tell it kills him to say it, his voice choking up, those three words getting caught in his throat.
“I’m not going home until you tell me what’s going on, Ted Logan!” You stomp your foot without even thinking, folding your arms across your chest.
Ted says nothing. In fact, he does the single most heartbreaking thing you can think of.
He closes the door.
“Ted!” You yell, you pound on the door.
There is no response.
No matter how much you call for him, he ignores you, so you say the only thing you can think that might get to him.
“Ted, you open this door right this minute or we are OVER!”
The door swings open.
Ted, standing there in only his sweatpants, dark circles under his eyes, looking more tired than you could imagine a 18 year old boy could look. His hair is damp, plastered to his forehead as if feverish. His breath is heaving. He looks nothing like your sweet, gentle boyfriend you’ve come to know and love.
“I said,” He speaks to you in a tone he’s never done before, half begging, half demanding. “Leave…”
You stand there, confused, mouth open, unsure what to say, but not moving.
“Leave!” He snarls again, louder, hand hitting the doorframe loudly, making you flinch.
As cruel as his voice is being with you right now, his eyes say something different. He looks as if it’s all he can do to get you away from him, truly believing it for your own good.
You begin to speak, and Ted turns rapidly, slamming the front door with all his might, house seeming to shake from the impact.
That was it.
That was all you could do. Come here, try to help him, but if he wanted you away, then he got it.
You turn, walking down the sidewalk with your arms around yourself, shame and embarrassment and heartbreak heating your face and ears. You suppose you’ve lost your boyfriend after that, and over god knows what. You don’t understand what’s happening at all. You thought you did everything a good girlfriend would, but maybe you made a mistake. And even if you did, could you two not talk about it? You let out a half sob as the pain in your heart tenses up, holding your breath to try to keep it in until you can safely let it all out.
Tears of hurt and anger slip down your face. Frustrated, you make your way home.
That was the last time you saw Ted Logan, for a while, at least.
————
The end of your senior year came and went. The talk died down, and just like predicted, Ted never returned to school for his final days. You knew he was alive, at the very least, but nothing else.
Graduation took place on a Saturday, a week or so after the last day. Everyone else cheered, watched as the schools wolf mascot was finally revealed to be some half popular nerd, the valedictorian gave a speech about how the best days of our lives were yet to come, threw their caps in the air when it was all said and done.
You sat, holding your diploma and hat, finger tracing the square edge while thinking about how Ted was supposed to be here. You two worked so hard to get his grades up so he could pass and his dad wouldn’t send him away to Alaska for military school. Maybe he really went through with that threat, for all you knew.
Either way, it had been a month since you had seen Ted Logan.
A month of lonely nights, your hidden stash of weed getting smaller and smaller as you self medicate in your room, and still you think of him. You blow smoke out the window at night, sometimes thinking you heard the sounds of rustling leaves out there, then dismissing it.
Who would want to stalk around your suburban home anyways?
————
You soon got tired of being holed up in the house all summer, and find it surprisingly easy to call up some of your old school friends to see what everyone else has been up to. You thought after everything that went down last time, you would be a social outcast. Turns out, they were more than willingly to invite you, some even more than vocal about wondering where you’d been. You know they have no real care for your wellbeing, but decide to go to one of the jocks upcoming parties.
And that’s how you find yourself anxious to see anyone other than your mother on a Friday night. You curl the ends of your high ponytail so the curls bounce at the nape of your neck, blow drying a mess of bangs in the front until they look pristine. A baby blue mini dress and some pumps later, and you’re feeling a bit more like yourself for the first time in a while. You finish everything off with a bow on your hair tie the color of marshmallows.
Soon enough, you’re driving to the outskirts of San Dimas, letting the A/C keep you cool on this June night. Some farm boy jock was hosting a barn party way out here, and you knew it was probably stupid to come. Best case, everyone feels to awkward to interact with you, worst case, they ask you questions incessantly about Ted’s disappearance and the last outing you were at.
Still, somehow, you tell yourself, this is better than Friday night alone watching reruns on the family T.V.
The moon is almost full, an orange hue clear and bright in the sky, it’s light guiding you to your destination.
It is easier than you thought to find your way there, despite not knowing the area. A few wrong turns and a right, and you’re pulling into the grass front lawn with 20 other cars or so. The barn is already lit up, spilling light and sound from inside. You open your door, struck with the heat of the night, already feeling your makeup begin to melt into your skin. Heels weren’t the best idea for the terrain, but at least you looked hot.
You pass a few straggling people hanging on the front porch of the old farm house, and one calls you over.
“Hey!” You see a few semi familiar faces, but hardly know them other than going to school together for the last few months.
They seem to know you though, so you walk up the groaning old wooden steps, and smile. Before you can even speak, one of the girls interrupts, as if she would explode if she didn’t say it.
“So, you like, have no idea about the San Dimas curse, huh?”
”Come on, Jenny, don’t get into that.” Her presumed boyfriend groans, and ‘Jenny’ keeps going.
“No, but for real, like you’re new so you wouldn’t know right?” You can see she’s dying to tell you more, so you simply shake you head.
“Curse? What curse?” You try to say casually, your interest piqued, but not wanting to show it.
“Oh here we go…!” Another girl groans, then reaches into a cooler next to her, handing you a can of beer. “Here, you’ll need this to get through this one.”
Everyone laughs before Jenny gets their attention back.
“Hey! Hey! She’s the newbie, so she deserves to know, especially after everything that happened…” As she trails, everyone looks to see your reaction, but you’re looking down at the condensation on the cold can.
“Alright, well, I’m all ears.” You shrug, looking back up, meeting their eyes.
“So,” Jenny turns serious. “San Dimas has this, like, ‘curse’, right? I mean, we don’t really know what else to call it, but that seems right enough.”
“Anyways, every ten years or so, someone goes missing. Not that unusual, sure, that just happens sometimes, but it seems to happen like clock work, okay?” Her blue eyes are big, like she really believes this, but the crowd still has unsure snickers of doubt. “Well, that’s not the only odd part, is it? No, because it happens whenever the moon is full-“
A jock grabs his buddy and annoyingly cuts Jenny off with a howl.
“Hush! It’s true, okay! They always go missing during the full moon. Always in the woods, always mysteriously. Not to mention, the sightings!” Jenny continues, trying to tame the crowd in her favor. “Folks say there’s something stalking out in those woods, something big, something not human. Say it’s got claws, teeth sharper than a dogs, head like a-“
“Oh yes, the werewolf sightings, told by old men who don’t even remember what they saw out there.” A few agreeable sounds follow the jocks interruption.
“Well, that’s what I’m saying! She saw it!” Jenny points to you like you’re her key to all this, her evidence that the curse is real. “You did, didn’t you? What did you see out there when that thing took your boyfriend?”
All eyes turn to you, all curious to hear, to know what you really saw. Dark flashes from that night bubble up in your mind, flashes of that beast, biting into Ted and dragging him away. You open your mouth, but nothing comes out. Just as you might have had an answer on the tip of your tongue, someone interrupts you.
“You don’t really believe those old stories do you?” You turn, your heart already racing at the sound of that voice.
His voice.
Ted Logan stands on the porch of the old farm house with a grin. Everyone is silent as Ted’s eyes graze across your body, practically eating you up where you stand. The yellow of the naked bulb above seeps into his dark eyes, and for a second you think there’s something wrong with them. No, must be the lights, playing tricks on your eyes. Ted watches you closely, examining your reaction.
“Besides, not much of a curse when the ‘missing person’ is right here.” Another voice joins Ted, and you notice someone with Ted.
Everyone waits to see where this will go, the social pressure to speak building up in you. Ted always knew you hated being the center of attention like this, and you watch as he smirks at your unease, almost exuding cockiness, but you can’t believe it. Your Ted Logan? He would never act in such a way…
Ted holds out a hand.
“Why don’t we speak somewhere more privately.” His voice is more serious now, tone lower.
You know you should just stay here, ignore him after everything he’s done, but you find your hand in his warm, large one, leading you away. Your heels click off the porch onto the grass as the crowd you’ve left begins to dissect what’s just happened. The man Ted arrived with follows, and you frown towards his direction.
“Who is he?” Your eyes narrow at the stranger, hair bouncing as you walk towards the back of the barn with them.
“He’s my…my…” Ted can’t seem to find the right word..
“Cousin.” The other responds, a devilish grin on his lips.
“R-right! Cousin!” Ted affirms. “This is Bill.”
Cousin? This guy was like a foot shorter than Ted, big blue eyes, and a mess of blond curls on top. They looked nothing alike, and yet, there was something…An aura of sorts, if you had to describe it. Something that seemed to link the two, either in attitudes or something else your basic senses couldn’t pick up on. Either way, you doubted more than anything they were cousins, and you were going to get to the bottom of this one way or another.
”I don’t know who you think you are showing up out of nowhere like nothing happened, Ted!” You hiss in his direction as you all round the corner of the barn, and Bill snickers at your remark.
“Relax, babe, can’t you just be happy to see me?” Ted scoffs at your attitude, making your rage grow.
You can’t help yourself, you slap him.
Your hand leaves a hot mark behind on his cheek,
“Babe? That’s what you think you’re going to call me after dropping me for a month? Let me worry about if you’re hurt, if you’re sick, if dead? No, you don’t get to call me that, Ted, that’s reserved for boyfriends who actually give a fuck to contact their girlfriends after being dragged into the woods by a damn wolf!” The anger is really welling up inside you now, but you can’t stop it, not now.
“So, no, you don’t get to call me babe after all that! As far as I’m concerned, we are not dating anymore!” You could keep going but the way Ted’s looking at you has you stopping in your tracks.
“Wouldn’t have done that if I were you…” Bill chuckles behind Ted, lighting a cigarette without much care for how the situation goes.
Ted, however, is shaking. No, not shaking, vibrating. He stares you down through thick strands of dark hair, breath heaving, shoulders raised, looking at you as if he wanted to tear you apart. The moonlight casts shadows on his face that make something in your stomach churn with a moment of true fear.
A deep growl echoes from somewhere inside his chest, and Bill puts a hand on his shoulder. Bill looks you in the eyes with his icy blues and throws a nod towards the rest of civilization out here.
“You should go back to the party now, girlie.” He says with a fake smile at the end, dropping it and whispering something into Ted’s ear that makes him back off.
The two of them turn and walk deeper into the darkness, and you’re left standing there once again.
————
Anger is still coursing through your veins, your head not thinking properly. You don’t even want to go home, you want release from all of this. You want something different, anything.
You rejoin the party in the barn this time, and the crowd dances to music someone has set up out here. It doesn’t matter to you much what’s playing as long as it’s loud and it’s fast. You walk over to a table that hosts various amounts of liquor and find yourself a few shots deep very quickly. Heat pours through your veins, making you feel tingly all over as the alcohol begins to hit, and you join the crowd.
It doesn’t take long for you to feel the beat, winding your body in ways that you haven’t done in months now, your dress riding up shorter and shorter as you go. Soon enough, someone’s hands have caught your hips and begun grinding them into their crotch. You don’t recoil, instead, grinding back, letting their mouth find a home at your neck. If you and Ted really were broken up now, then you might as well have some fun.
You let the strangers hands wander your body, groping where they please, enjoying how the liquor feels when you move against another warm body. Sweat begins to prick your skin as you continue, and soon your mysterious stranger is whispering filthy things in your ears. Things you and Ted never even got around to doing since he used to be shy about such things, which you also used to find cute.
Now, it was like you didn’t even know him.
You shake your head with anger as the thought of Ted comes back up, trying to get back into the groove with your dance partner, but of course that too is interrupted when he is forcibly pulled from you. You pause mid dance, confusion filling your drunk mind. You turn on wobbly heels, and see those eyes, and this time it can’t be the lights making them so yellow.
Ted grabs your wrist, pulling you into his body, glowering at you.
“That’s how you’re going to get back at me?” He snidely whispers in your ear.
“What? Not like you wanted me anymore, anyways.” You cruelly throw back, turning your nose up at him to leave.
He holds you fast.
“Who said I didn’t want you anymore…?” His voice almost sounds hurt, and you try to get a read on his face.
For a second, you’re almost convinced the old Ted was back by how soft he looked right now.
You open your mouth to retaliate anyways, spiteful as always, just like your mother always warned about, but instead, Ted pulls you even closer, until your lips are almost touching, his breath mingling with yours, eyes staring deep into your soul.
“Trust me,” His voice is smoother now, hot and full of want. “I want you.”
You blink, trying to make sense of the situation, but with the alcohol pumping through your system and a history of bad decisions, you can’t stop yourself. You let your lips graze his, not even full on kissing him, just giving permission. And that’s enough for Ted.
Enough for him to let his soft, warm, silky lips crush against yours, the want so strong he has to hold himself back with every muscle in his body, arms clutching you tightly. He devours you with his kiss, and it’s almost hard for you to keep up with his lips. He pulls you onto his leg, spreading your thighs so you can ride him there, your dress now fully exposing your ass and pale blue checkered panties. His hands grip your hips, pulling you towards him and away, letting his bent knee create friction down there.
It takes everything inside you to pull away from his kiss, your chest heaving and almost ready to fall out of your dress at this rate.
“Not-Not…” You say breathlessly as you notice a few prying eyes in the crowd. “Not here…”
Ted gives you a look that sends a chill straight to your pussy.
A look that says “I would fuck you right here, right now, in front of everyone if you just gave me permission.”
And even worse.
“I might do it anyway if you don’t get us out of here quickly.”
You’re stumbling out into the woods outside of the barn before you know it. Ted half carries you the whole time, your legs wrapped around his waist as he takes you deeper away from everyone else. Your head knows this is dangerous, knows something about Ted is off, something is wrong, but you need this. You’ve been needing this, ever since he left. Maybe even before then.
Your back ends up crushed against a tree, the bark scraping against your bare shoulders there. Ted breathes heavily into your neck, no, not breathing. Inhaling. Smelling you so deeply before a moan escapes his lips.
“Fuck…” He growls in your ear. “Fuck, I-I need you so bad…”
It’s as if he can’t even get the right words out to describe it, as if it’s painful how badly he needs to fuck you. He’s hungry for you in ways you couldn’t begin to understand.
He grinds himself between your legs, and you can feel how hard he is against your pussy and stomach. His hands go down your shoulders, and you wonder when his nails got so long, the feeling of them almost clawing into your skin turning you on. He quickly pulls your dress down, exposing your breasts to his hands, where he gropes you deeply, the softness of your skin contrasting his.
You let his tongue linger in your mouth, tasting him deeply as he ruts against you, cock needing to be released. You help him, hands drunk and fumbling with his belt. Once his cock is out, you feel the head with your hand, and for a moment, you can hardly believe how big it is.
Ted’s kissing on your neck deepens, teeth grazing the skin there as you stroke his thick cock, using both hands and letting him support your weight. You don’t remember his teeth being so long, not to mention sharp, and just as your thinking of pulling way to get a better look at him, as his growling begins to reach a breaking point, you feel his teeth graze too deeply, biting into the tender flesh of your throat.
You let out a whimper, the feeling of pain mixing with pleasure. Ted takes this as an invitation, hand reaching down to your panties, and with one claw, tearing them in two. You shudder at the thought of how sharp they are and being so close to your most private parts as he checks how wet you are with one finger.
Ted pulls back from where he’s left a mark on your neck, looking you in the eyes. His face has changed, his eyes bright yellow, his teeth on full display and sporting your blood. Others may have screamed, tried to free themselves from his grip, but the monstrous look he was sporting had you weak in the knees. You shudder with pleasure as he places his cock at your entrance, the tip feeling way too big to fit even before it’s in. He seems to pause, for a just a moment, as if the human part of him can hold back just barely.
He’s waiting for you to say yes.
You nod with wanton want, and that’s all it takes. His cock is entering you, a tight fit that leaves you moaning in pain and pleasure as it stretches you beyond what you thought your limits were. You grip his back, feeling yourself already full without even having the entirety of his cock inside of you yet. What little of himself he could hold back before is gone now as he takes one small pull back from being inside you, and slams the force of his cock back where he left and then some. You cry out, trying to move to accommodate such a hefty cock, but failing.
You slip one hand down to your clit to try to tame the pain into pleasure once more, Ted’s cock filling you again and again as he takes you right there in the woods. Your hand circles your clit as best as you can, feeling yourself relax into the process of being fucked by an animal of a man.
Ted’s cock seems to grow even bigger inside of you, the base swelling as he fucks you, making it harder and harder for him to pull out of you. It’s as if you’re being infinitely filled by him as he clumsily tries to fuck you harder. His growls deepen, and as he gets closer he sinks his teeth back into the half moons he left in your shoulder earlier. You cry out as he tastes you, practically tearing you in two with his cock and his teeth, but shudder closer to climax from it all. You furiously play with yourself, free hand gripping your own breast as if the action could hold you in, hold you together for just a few more moments of the pleasure his cock fills you with at the moment.
You buck into him, his cock rutting deeper and deeper, no thoughts of the fact that he’s about to spill his seed inside you without protection, no thoughts of the teeth in your shoulder that tries to hold you still to be fucked. Only that blissful feeling of being so full you can hardly take it. So stretched out and how well that feels when you play with your clit just like that. It brings you closer and closer until you’re spilling over the edge, spamming on his cock that breeds itself into you without care.
As if he’d been waiting for you to finish, before you’ve even finished cumming the first time, Ted growls deeper than you’ve heard all night, jaw locking into your shoulder and popping his growing knot deep enough it won’t come out into you. You keep your hand busy on your clit, not ready to give this up with just one round just yet, as Ted cums deeply inside you. It’s hot, thick, and filling somewhere you’ve never been filled before. You feel it begin to seep out around his knot despite his best efforts to keep you filled, the amount of cum just too much for your body. You lose yourself in the feeling, cumming again, pussy spasming and tightening against his cock.
Worn out and overstimulated, you feel yourself being pulled from the tree. You fall on top of Ted, his knot still wedged deeply inside you with no hope of coming out soon. You straddle his body, where he lays against the dirt of the forest, breathless and staring up at the moon. It takes him a few breaths to look at you.
“So,” You say, chest heavy and pussy throbbing. “You’re a werewolf?”
He gulps in air, and almost tries to speak, then just nods, staring at you for your reaction.
After everything, you look at your boyfriend. You see his puppy dog eyes, his soft lips pursed slightly with worry, that shaggy overgrown hair. You consider it all.
“Okay.” You say affirmatively.
“Okay?” His voice is full of husk and confusion.
“Okay. Werewolf. I can deal with that.” You smile only slightly, and Ted smiles back, the Ted you know and love shining before you.
He pulls you in, tongue lapping at your neck where he bit you, and to your surprise, the bite begins to heal itself quite quickly.
“Werewolf powers.” You whisper to him and he laughs. ”Guess the San Dimas curse is true.”
“Guess I found out the hard way.” Ted whispers, half joking, half pained by the situation.
You two lay there, the moonlight devouring the scene beneath it, breathless and full. Ted’s cock throbs so deeply in your pussy you can’t imagine a time it wasn’t there. The exquisite feeling of fullness has you on cloud nine, and you can’t help but love the feeling of being so close in his arms. The way his languid hands slowly run circles on your back, the relaxed feeling of his softness almost overwhelming you along with every other sensation. You feel tears begin to well up as a release of emotions comes over you.
Ted hears a small sob hiccup in your throat, and holds you even closer, your face buried in his neck. You don’t even need anything to tell you that your soft, sweet, kind Ted was coming out now, you just knew. You knew the way he held you on top of him, letting all your weight into his body, the way his hands comforted you in ways no one else could.
You pull your face away from his, and he kisses your forehead, your cheeks, kisses up every tear that’s fallen. His lips move against your skin, his breath tickling your face, and soon enough you realize he’s whispering something.
You can’t tell what until he kisses your ears, lingering there.
“I’m so sorry, I couldn’t tell you, I didn’t know how…” Pain seeps out of every word.
You pull his face back to yours so you can look into those brown eyes of his.
“Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan, don’t you ever lie to me again, you hear me?” You say sternly, and he nods, tears now welling up in his eyes, but not yet fallen.
“Never.” He promises, and somehow you know it to be true.
You collapse into his chest, letting the emotions of the night overcome you, Ted there to comfort you through it all. You fall mindlessly asleep, worn out and waiting for Ted’s knot to go down. You still can’t believe your boyfriend is a werewolf, but at least you got him back.
At some point, Ted takes you home, somehow transporting you all the way without waking you until the very end. You wake in the middle of being placed into his bed.
He pushes your bangs out of your face gently, kisses your forehead, then climbs into bed next you, letting your body relax into his before the two of you begin to gently fall back asleep. You hear him whisper in your ear before you fall asleep.
“I love you.”

You hit the Do Not Disturb button on your settings and turn your phone over on your nightstand, rolling over in bed as you do. You know it’s not the best decision, but you do it anyway. Jake was right, you were being immature, but he was also being an asshole. You’d already tried to confront him once about the girl at the party, but he shut you down before you could even propose the question.
“Oh God, you’re really gonna bring this up? It was nothing, Y/n, Jesus.” He’d said that. It was disrespectful, and rude, and made you feel like your feelings weren’t respected or valued. So instead of trying to ask him nicely what had happened, you ignored him for the rest of the day and night, until he started texting you. He must’ve realized he’d screwed up and wanted to backtrack, but it was too late, you were already pissed. And when someone acted shitty to you, you were known to act shitty back. It wasn’t your best quality, but luckily, you weren’t one to argue or get into fights with your loved ones often. Which is what made this fight even harder. You’d never been in a fight with Jake before, and if this is what it felt like, you never wanted to be in one again. But you couldn’t help it, he was exhibiting some super weird behaviors, and the immediate denial and refusal to explain was getting under your skin.
You stare at your ceiling, thinking about everything and trying not to cry, when suddenly you hear a loud pounding at your front door–one that couldn’t be ignored. You picked up your phone and checked the time, 10:30pm. Not even forty minutes, and Jake had made it all the way across town. Even in your angry state, you were still kind of lovestruck.
You make your way downstairs and crack open the front door, to see a soaking wet Jake standing in the pouring rain outside. When did it start raining? You hadn’t even noticed.
“Y/n, please let me explain.”
“Jake,” you stare out the door at him, slightly in awe at just how hard it was raining, and how uncomfortable he must be. “I told you, I don’t want to see you right now.”
You go to close the door but Jake’s hand slams against it and pushes it open, though he doesn’t try to come inside. He just simply continues standing there, staring at you, eyes full of something you can’t quite make out.
“Please,” he whispers, his wet hands reaching out to pull your waist closer to him, and further into the rain, until you’re getting soaked, too. He leans in until your lips are practically touching, never breaking eye contact with you. “Please.”
You run your hands up his chest, and he sighs at your touch. “Fuck, Jake. I’m so mad at you right now,” you whisper.
“I know,” he says, just as softly, before closing the gap between your mouths.
Your hands fly up, tangling in his drenched black hair as he presses you up against the doorframe, his hands gliding down to squeeze your ass.
His tongue slips into your mouth and you can taste cigarettes and mint in his kiss. It wasn’t just any flavor, it was his. And you knew you couldn’t give it up, not now, not ever.
You pull back, and his fingers brush over your cheek, cradling your face. He looks at you with pure love.
“Jake…” you start.
“Please let me explain, baby. I’m sorry I was an asshole earlier, just please.” He kisses you again. “I’ll never stop asking.”
You think about it. On one hand, you were so incredibly angry at him. But on the other, you loved him more than anyone, and you were tired of being in this fight. Maybe it was time to give him the benefit of the doubt. “Okay,” you say.
You turn around and walk back inside, and he follows close behind, softly closing and locking the front door. “Let’s get changed first,” you say.
He keeps an extra pair of pajamas at your house, just in case, so you grab his pair, along with a fresh pair for yourself, and the two of you head into the bathroom. He strips and you hand him a fluffy towel, which he uses to dry off. You do the same, and turn around to get changed, but you can feel his eyes on your body, which makes you smirk. He acts as though he hasn’t seen you naked hundreds of times.
You walk into your bedroom and sit on the edge of your bed. He enters behind you and closes the door before starting to pace back and forth.
“Well, let’s hear it,” you say, arms crossed.
“At the party, looking back on it now, I can totally see why it looked like I was flirting with her, but I promise I wasn’t trying to.”
You roll your eyes, feeling your anger creep back up on you. “Your hands were on her waist, Jake. You were laughing with her while she blushed!”
He winces, “I know, angel–”
“Don’t. Don’t ‘angel’ me, right now.”
“Okay.” He looks down at his feet. “She came on to me, and I was so fucking drunk, and I know that’s not an excuse, but I was trying to be nice to her. Friendly. And in the moment I didn’t realize how bad it looked, but I swear to God, as soon as I knew you saw me, it was like a switch flipped. I let go of her and told her I had to go. And then I went to look for you but you’d already left without me. I was so worried. So today, I was a dick. And I’m sorry.”
“Seriously, Jake? You were trying to be ‘friendly’? With your hands on her? How drunk do you have to be to be touching other girls? You’re right, it’s not an excuse! You fucked up.” You turn away, trying to stop the tears from coming, but your eyes are already burning. “Shit.” You lay on your back and roll away from Jake, so he can’t see you cry.
“Baby, I’m so so sorry. I should’ve never touched her. There is no excuse. And the way I acted today was unacceptable. You were right, I was being a bad boyfriend, and I’m not proud of it. What can I do to prove to you that you’re the only girl for me? That I’d do anything for you?” He climbs into bed next to you and wraps his arm around your waist, pulling your back against his chest. “I’m sorry,” he whispers into the crook of your neck, before placing a gentle kiss there. You turn over and look at him as tears line your eyelids. He wipes your damp cheeks with his sleeve, and places kisses below either eye. “I’m so sorry.”
He rolls over on top of you and kisses the tip of your nose before leaning in to kiss your lips, “You are the love of my life. You always have been. I’m yours.” He kisses you again, “I promise, I’m yours.” He moves down slowly and kisses your chest, “Since the first time I laid eyes on you, I’ve been yours. Every part of me is yours.” He moves one hand down to knead your thigh, his weight resting on his other hand as he gently sucks your neck. You can’t help but let out a soft moan when he reaches a particular sensitive spot. “No one else gets to know me like this, no one else gets to feel my hands–my mouth like this. Only you,” he whispers against your ear. He moves his hand up your thigh and under your tank top to squeeze your boob, and you sigh. “I was made for you, baby. Only for you. I promise. I love you more than anyone.”
“You promise?” you ask again, even though you’re fully convinced. You just want to hear him say it again.
He smiles down at you, and you smile back up at him. “I promise.”
You wrap your arms around his neck and pull him down, so your foreheads are touching. “I love you, Jay. I’m sorry I was being immature over text earlier. I was just super pissed. I know it wasn’t right.”
“Don’t apologize, princess. You were rightfully pissed. I knew that, but part of me still wanted to have something to blame you for. I don’t know why. But I also knew I didn’t want to go to bed angry with each other. I wanted to go to bed with you knowing how much you mean to me. That I’d be nothing without you. I’ll never drink again if it means I’ll regain your trust.”
You giggle, “You don’t have to do that, baby. I believe you. Just don’t do it again. And next time we get into an argument, no matter how small, let’s promise to communicate with each other right away, instead of ghosting for hours. Okay?”
“Okay.” He smiles and you lean up to kiss him. Only this time, you don’t pull away.

“Without me?”
Relationship(s): Dogday x sheep!reader, catnap x sheep!reader 🔞
Warnings: minor name calling , smuttt
catnap can get a little jealous and outta hand at times but that’s okay right? cause Dogday and you were his precious play toys.
ever since you had first arrived, you had felt these.. eyes watching you? like millions, always all the time. once, you were sitting on your bed when a mini critter of catnap came out the hole in the floor board and stared at you. it was cute so you kept him as a companion, a new friend as you put it. he slept at the edge of your bed every single night. never once attacking nor harming you, more as a friend that wanted to protect you.
you and Dogday had finally started dating. during the first few months, he was sweet and caring. never doing anything he thought you wouldn’t like. even during sex, he was so gentle and smooth with your skin. taking his time to learn your body which he did veryy nicely. unfortunately, not everyone was happy with your newfound relationship. catnap. he would always be lurking in the shadows, stalking watching you two as if you both betrayed him.
“ngh.. fuck.. your pussy— so good, angel..~” Dogday grunted as his hips met your pussy. his heavy balls ready to give you his pups seed. the slapping noises were electric. the atmosphere was moist and sweaty, reeking of hour long sex between you both. you whimpered as you tried to close your legs around him but he just held them open against your chest as he worked his thick cock in your tight fuck hole. “without me?” you guys suddenly heard. Dogdays hips stilled and you couldn’t stop the sob that escaped your throat as you were so close.
Dogday whimpered pathetically. he had a gag in his mouth as well as his body being tied up. he had to watch as catnaps longer (not thicker) cock fucked you open, the way he was supposed to be. he watched the way you trembled and how you responded to certain things catnap hissed out.
“fuckin’ whore. is that who you are? cumming on another man’s cock while your boyfriends in the room? pathetic.”
you, embarrassingly, came on catnaps cock as soon as he had began to take up Dogdays place. you nodded as he asked you questions, too fucked out to really understand. you just didn’t want him to stop. catnap smirked down at you and grabbed your face, making you face Dogday.
Dogdays hardened cock instantly stood at full attention. seeing you — sweaty, hair messy, eyes lolled to the back of your head, and those little tears he adored, streaking down your face. Dogday whimpered painfully as his cock weeped pre-cum. the tip an angry red as he was denied release. god, he hated catnap in this moment.
A/N: sorry if this isn’t up to parr, it’s 3:00 am for me and I wanted to write 😭 let me know if you have requests or want a part 2 to anything. I hope this did well, love. @2faced-fairy .
