Angel was really poking the bear all through the second half of S2. Every time he gets touchy-feely with Drusilla, cut to Spike looking murderous.

It was only a matter of time before he snapped and turned on him. I wonder how they didn't see it coming. Especially Drusilla. The psychic.

Hi everyone!! It's been a while on the zine front, but I've finally updated my itchio with some exciting new printable zines!

First up, I've compiled a bunch of my old Buffy season 2 comics and art into a little 8 page zine! It's all art I've posted here before aside from the cover, but if you want to have a physical copy you can download the zine here to print off and fold at home

Aaaaand for the oklahomies amongst us, I've also put up my Laurey Williams zine that I made for the recent cowboy themed Zine Bash event. It's one of the recent pieces I'm most proud of so go check it out here

both zines are pay what you want, so you only have to spend money on them if you want to, and both come with a handy zine folding guide in case you've never folded an 8 page zine before!

OBSESSED with the looks william gives angelus during their first meeting. all his facial expressions just say SO MUCH. this guy is fresh out of being turned- with his only life taken so far having been his own mother (which he did in self defense, or something like it)

then to immediately be pulled into the sun by angelus, and first he shows like. apprehension (apologies for the picture quality, i gathered these screenshots kinda hastily)

he's alarmed. which then gives way to thoughtfulness,

then this sort of puzzling expression, like he's trying to work out angelus' motive or reason for behaving this way, or deciding whether he wants to behave that way himself,

and then, as he reaches out his arm to join angelus in the sunbeam, his face finally giving way to full-on fascination and curiosity

his face softens, his eyes go wide with wonder. he doesn't understand what the hell this vampire's deal is but he WANTS TO. he doesn't say a word to angelus as he gives his gay little monologue, but he communicates so much with his face and with the act of participating in the vampiric self-harm rite-of-passage thing angelus invited him to.

i just really love this scene bc it's a perspective on their dynamic not seen anywhere else, it really was just for their first interaction. but i think it says so much about the way they see one another, and their relationship as a whole.

Love and honour were hellish words to him. Tenderness was weakness in his eyes. He hated Spike and Drusilla’s affection because it was a distraction. He had plans, big plans and they managed to get their feelings involved and mess it all up.

But when he found you it was impossible to stay away. He had found his own distraction, his own weakness. You drove him crazy, he hated you because he wanted you more than anything on Earth. He needed you, his mind thinking only of you.

You were his favourite obsession. His perfect weakness. He craved you the way he craved blood. The way he craved destruction and all evil deeds.

You were already sired and as bad as they come, looking to find yourself something exciting to fill your eternity with on the Hellmouth. And boy did you find it, just… not quite in the way you expected.

Angelus was cruel and there was a certain art to his brutality. You had never seen anyone (undead included) that took such pleasure from killing so indiscriminately. He drew you in, the danger excited you.

What you didn’t bank on was a need for connection within. A loyalty that somehow extended beyond himself. Only for you.

It twisted him up inside. Liking you was wrong to him but it made him want to do it more. After trying every mortal sin he only had his own nature left to explore.

He turned hot and cold with you when he caught himself softening, his anger at you for making him this way burned like fire. It hurt, but God did he make up for it with his affection.

He doted, he truly did. He kept you by his side always. He took you out anywhere you wanted to eat, you got your pick of the very best and freshest blood Sunnydale had to offer. He tortured anyone that tried to get close to you and he protected you in every way he could from the Slayer.

He killed for you. He went against his very nature for you. And it would only ever be you.

One night, you stayed in bed the entire time, feeding only on leftovers when he was usually so amped to kill fresh each night. His arm lazily around your shoulder as he pulled you close. He pressed kisses against your jaw and your neck, nipping and grazing against what had once been your pulse point.

“Nights like these, I feel for you”

He whispered against your skin, a sudden rough grasp at your limbs at what had tumbled from his mouth. You acted as if you hadn’t heard and he allowed himself to feel again.

He pressed kisses that would have been pure from any other mouth into your bare skin, a poison that you would never need an antidote for settled where your soul had been. It would only be filled by him.

You were his best distraction. The only one that he allowed his possession turn to affection.

ANGELUS STARTS COMING THROUGH

Previously, Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) saw his winning streak against the horror community come to an end when he and Buffy lost a mixed tag team match against Morticia and Gomez Addams (The Addams Family). One person who couldn’t have been more thrilled was Mark Hoffman (Saw), who Angel had previously beat. Hoffman taunts Angel about the loss, which starts to get to Angel’s head.

Without warning, Angel knocked Hoffman to the ground with a clothesline to the back of his head. Angel then immediately walked away. When Hoffman demanded that Angel continue fighting, Angel shouted that “Angelus” was coming out and that Hoffman needs to just walk away.

(Kayfabe note: Since this is wrestling, think of this version of Angelus as just a darker gimmick of Angel. Like Finn Balor when he goes Demon)
