#TheClarkSisters My first love introduced me to the Clark Sisters many many years ago! He said, “you can enjoy your Faith, but you gotta listen to the Clark Sisters.” I knew who Karen was because Faith appeared on her album, but the only Clark Sisters song I really knew was #IsMyLivingInVain and that’s because of Xscape’s first album. ... Everywhere we went, we would be bumping the Clark Sisters LOL! He made me tons of mix CDs and videos of their material and I fell in love with them. We eventually broke up, but fast forward to their comeback album #LiveOneLastTme in 2007, I go to my first Clark Sisters concert and guess who I see?? My ex! And it was nothing but love and respect between him and I, enjoying the show. It was special. ... Now fast forward to today, this remarkable amazing movie was everything the whole wide world needed to see during this pandemic. This movie is a long time coming. Their story definitely needed to be told. All you beautiful girls threw down in this movie! Bravo! 👏🏽 I really enjoyed it and so did my mom. She watched it three times so far! The Clark Sisters taught me how to growl a little bit lol! Twinkie, Karen, Dorinda, Jacky and the original high soprano herself, Denise! Attention, congregation! Your (virtual) Easter outfits and praise dances while watching "The Clark Sisters: First Ladies Of Gospel," just helped the movie set a record.  Deets inside.

If you weren't watching The Clark Sisters biopic this weekend, you were very likely the only one who wasn't.

Christina Bell as “Twinkie,” Kierra Sheard as “Karen,” Sheléa Frazier as “Dorinda,” Raven Goodwin as “Denise” and Angela Birchett as “Jacky” gave us life re-creating the life of everybody's original favorite non-secular (until they weren't) family - The Clark Sisters!

A little before The Braxtons, but around the same time as their fellow Detroit natives, The Winans, became known for their harmonious family trees, we had The Clark Sisters.

While folks knew their story, folks also quickly learned they didn't KNOW know their story.  And it was a doozy.

The movie hit a high note on Saturday night, delivering 2.7 million Total Viewers (in both live & sudicated airings), according to Nielsen Media Research, making it Lifetime's highest-rated movie since 2016 and the strongest original movie on all of television for 2020 across key demos, including both broadcast and cable.  Halleluuu!

Folks were talking about it ALL over social media, and it ranked #1 across all TV on premiere night with over 700,000 interactions, according to Nielsen Social.
