Tried to take a spin on the angel and demon headcanons for Skizz and Impulse using their skins.

i crave more angel Skizz and demon Impulse who let go of their human urges

Give me an Impulse who snarls as he shouts, sharp teeth growing and becoming too big for his mouth, eyes glowing and horns stretching. Make his tail whip behind him in his anger, casting sparks as it scrapes across the ground, growing sharper and harder and devilish. Make the tips of his horns char black with his anger, make charcoal freckles appear on his cheeks, give him claws that could tear you to shreds and eyes that say he's going to do just that.

On the other hand, give me a Skizz whose voice echoes with a thousand others, a Skizz who levitates and cracks his bones in unnatural ways. Give him wings that burst out of his back with a sickly noise, too many wings, too many eyes on them, on you. Give him a cleanliness that sets off your mind into a flurry of "that thing is not human". His smile is too wide and his body is glowing so bright and, wait, where did his eyes go?

Angel Skizzleman who asks for so little because… he’s an angel.

He who deserves the entire world for his kindness but cannot see it himself. Who can’t bear the thought of asking for more than he is given, because angels are helpers and not receivers.

He is fine, he tells Impulse when he notices his buddy seems down. Everything is okay, he tells Tango and Zed and everyone who can see he is anything but.

Buried in his pyramid, the weight of it all crushing down on him. The wings on his back seem to weigh him down more each day.

But he denies and denies and denies any kind of support because he does not need it and can handle himself, thank you very much.

The hermits try to get through to him to no avail. It isn’t until Impulse sits him down, determined to knock some sense into his silly head, that Skizz breaks. The facade cracks and tears slip out of his eyes as he finally confides in his best buddy. The constant need to help, the feeling of failure when he’s not there to support, all of it comes tumbling down to be caught by Impulse, who magically turns it all into comforting words.

Skizz clings to him tight and never wants to let go. There’s still a voice in his head telling him this is wrong and he’s not supposed to cry but the feeling of warmth provided by Impulse quiets it all.

Maybe sometimes an angel does need an angel.

(even if the angel is your demon best friend.)

hey so you know how Skizz found Grian in under 4 minutes while everyone else took Way longer? i mean besides scott but he's just Like That

uhh something something angel skizz being somewhat similar to watcher grian (both are otherworldly beings, idk) so he was able to go through the watcher-y shenanigans so quickly and find him

Impulse uses his tail to make Skizz trip on his face. Skizz uses his wings to slap Impulse in his face.

They do it only in the most petty moment

For winged people, it's a natural instinct to throw their wings out for balance when they stumble on something. It's definitely only instinct and unconscious movement. That's what Skizz tells Impulse, anyway, any time Impulse "accidentally" swings his tail in front of Skizz and gets an "accidental" wing to the face in return.

Anyways, fun fact about this: i didn't realize skizzes poe poe skin had booty shorts, i just added them for funsies bc the original wing design would have hidden them from few. However, when i looked up his new skin mid drawing this, i realized HE DOES IN FACT HAVE SHORTS??? and i couldn't resist moving the wings a bit to show them off LMFAO
