😇 The lore of Angel!Rire is essentially:

Possibly rogue angel that kills people under word of God.

Word of God being debatable because his criteria for killing people changes a lot - (eg: might kill a bad person cos they’re “bad”, similarly will kill a good person to get them to heaven faster, similarly will just “mercy” kill whoever because humans are a plague to themselves and others etc) - EITHER WAY no one seems to be stopping him.

Also debatable is whether he believes in his justifications for his actions or if he’s just doing it for fun and purposely smoke-screening that fact.

I have described their main similarity before as deception since they both seem viable (as a normal human / normal angel) at first. Their main personality difference is that their modus operandi is flipped - Demon!Rire will often see how long he can con someone, but will eventually reveal his true nature and will match what he says with it. Angel!Rire is more blunt and will reveal his true nature almost immediately, but will continue saying things in complete antithesis to that reveal thus masking the reality of his intentions.

I do know what OCTs are! But I probably would never join one due to lack of time. They seem to be very large commitments and i’d be better off trying to find that time to do BP :V

There is no set location for BTD (considering that me, Gato and EP all come from diff countries LOL)...other than maybe “Earth” and “some city/town place that predominately speaks English”.

This is, actually, one of the more popular questions I get asked over time about Rire XD; Which makes me think I need to update my FAQ to include it. Anyway in my FAQ i put it like this:

CAN RIRE FEEL LOVE? I don’t know if you could classify what he feels as “love” in the same definition we are used to…

And from other answers to similar qs:

IF he becomes fond of someone for whatever reason, he will probably become more possessive. His methodology might not change so much, but there would be more aftercare (cos if you want someone to last longer...)

I never go any more in depth when answering these kinda qs even though i’m sure people would like me to XD

As for Rire it’s not super in line with his usual, but I don’t think he’d mind the music!

BTD HellRings AU

I remember making a AU based off my dreams a while back, maybe a month or two ago but it never got that much attention and I started to loose interest in it. I've only made 9 designs, only 7 I were satisfied with. Though, I wish to show you what I've made in hopes for it to interest me again. This will be a long rant/lore dump so be ready !!

Just for some background, the dream was about me being dragged into hell by Rire and going through each ring of hell to get out of there. I encountered some of the BTD characters which were shown in a different design (?) But, they were familiar enough to be recognizable. Now, on the rant…

"Each character is either a demon/sinner or angel and each have a different goal and purpose. They were taken forcefully by RIRE, why? Maybe for entertainment. However, there is a way out… but its not easy."

RIRE

"Lucien Rire in this AU is quite mysterious and secretive, sadistic as well. He is the king of hell and has the power to exit and enter the mortal realm and hell. He targets anyone of interest to drag them into hell. He does makes deals with humans but it's quite rare. Why does he torment and drag people into hell? You’ll never know. Maybe he has a goal, maybe he wants to prove something, maybe it’s all for entertainment… its unknown! He’s grown a interesting relationship with strade. They made a deal centuries ago. Strade could be considered his right-hand man. Rire is sometimes nicknamed “The father”  by sinners and called Sir.Lucien by Strade. Can be found mainly wandering the mortal realm. He checks up on Strade on time to time in hell."

STRADE

"Strade in this AU is mysterious and secretive and just as sadistic as rire. He has the ability to roam around each and all rings of hell freely and without problem(unlike most souls/sinners) He can teleport, appearing and disappearing. It’s rare to see a glance of him, blink and he's gone. He’s more like a ghoul rather than a sinner. He made a unknown deal with Rire when he was alive, placing him at a high rank as a demon. He has grown a interest in ren, seeing himself in his wrath. His opinion on rire is unknown but he respects him. He is found everywhere, making sure everyone is “in order”(AKA. Everyone is suffering). In his human years, he was a serial killer. When he died, he immediately became the rank he is now. now watching over his past pet/captor, Ren."

REN

"Ren Hana in this AU is quite cold and distant. His main goal is to escape hell as he doesn’t believe he belongs there. He failed to escaped time after time for decades. Most of his body is scattered with scars and other bruises from endless climbing and fighting. Each day he gets more determined. Strade has taken appreciation for his determination and finds it entertaining. Strade watches him more often than the other sinners, knowing that ren could never escape no matter how hard he tries. Ren –a pridesinner (also committing greed, violence, etc) can be found at the first ring, limbo, trying desperately to escape. In his mortal years, he was kidnapped by strade and treated like a pet. He formed a unhealthy bond with strade. When strade was killed by one of his captors, rire took strade’s soul to hell. After that, ren replaced strade, becoming him in a way. But, his main goal was to find someone to replace strade for his own comfort but he failed to do so. Just like strade, he was killed by one of his own captors. He woke up in hell, angered. He didn’t believe he should be in hell after suffering enough already. Strade was out of the picture now after knowing he could possibly escape. Now, that’s all he does, try to escape knowing that the last someone did was decades if not centuries ago."

CAIN

"Cain in this AU follows a little part of the story of Cain in the game, he kills both Adam and Abel turning him into a fallen angel and is forced down to the bottom of hell, the last ring: treachery. He breaks out of the ice and with his ragged, frozen and bleeding wings he makes his way out of hell. The gods, finding out, attempts to cast his back down to hell. Cain however, hides down in tartarus where he now lives. Angels were sent to find and permanently discard Cain. Cain asked the king of hell, rire, to help him kill the angels(wanting to start a war). Rire however, didn’t want to and fought him. Cain angered, retreats back to tatarus for hiding. After hiding out for a while, he goes into the mortal realm and finds Sano and Akira struggling to stay alive. He takes them in and raises them until they were able to live by themselves. He sets a goal to learn about the sinners, manipulating them to help get revenge on both rire and the heavens. He uses sano(with the help of akira) to achieve this goal after Seeing that Sano had a intimate relationship with Rire. Once they both were caught, he didn’t try to save them from the fear of the gods and or angels finding him. He was selfish, his goal being the only thing on his mind."

ASHE

"Ashe in this AU is one of the angels sent from god to find Cain. After encountering cain and attempting to annihilate him, he fails and Cain rips off the bottom parts of his wings(Aka. Clipping them?). Now, unable to fly and having a hatred for cain(and probably being scared of him), the gods sent him to watch over the veil(A place between the mortal realm and the gates of heaven) The veil is the place where souls go to after they die. It’s a place for them to feel at peace before facing their judgment up at the gates. Ashe’s new duty was to simply watch over the souls and make sure they feel at peace."

SANO

"Sano in this AU started off as a spy for Cain, he would go through each ring, takings notes of what happened to each sinner in that specific ring, what things or events that happened out of the ordinary and go back to cain for his notes with the help of his brother, Akira Kojima. Millenniums ago, Sano was in school, working to become a doctor. He also had a secret of kidnapping people and doing various experiments on them for both sadistic pleasure and learning what the human body could bare. Sano had a intimate relationship with Rire when Sano was in the mortal realm. However, this was against his adoptive father, Cain. Both Rire and Cain hated each-other. Rire fell in love with the human sano, asking him to join him in hell in which Sano agreed only if his brother came along too. He was able to shapeshift into a naga along with his brother. When Cain found out, he took advantage of that. He manipulated sano to help him figure out Rire's goals and what the sinners went through. Sano didn’t want to disappoint him, so he betrayed his lover. It didn’t take long for Strade to come along and figure out Sano’s actions. Strade had seduced Sano by shapeshifting into a incubus into telling him what he’d been doing. Later, strade reported back to rire. Rire felt betrayed and condemned sano and akira to be placed in different rings and for akira to never be able to exit the violence ring. Sano’s only two rings he could enter was fraud(eighth ring) and limbo(First ring). Cain couldn’t and never tried to save sano and discarded him. Strade was told to keep a close eye on him. Sano now, without Rire, Akira, or anyone grew helpless. He attempted to escape hell at the first ring a couple of times and failed all. He stopped trying. Strade, seeing Sano’s hopelessness was entertaining at first, but he quickly grew bored and stopped paying attention to him. Sano, once a high and almost royal ranked demon now leveled down to a low ranked sinner."

AKIRA

"Akira in this AU was wild in the mortal realm. He’d go to lots of parties and drink a lot. He killed and tortured a small amount of people but not as much as his brother, sano. Akira was told by sano that they would move to hell as high ranking demons. Akira was a little hesitant before agreeing on coming along. He could turn into a naga, just like his brother. He tortured low ranking sinners for fun until sano reported to akira about what their adoptive father, Cain asked of them. Akira, wanting to help his brother, agreed to help him. Once Sano was caught by Strade and was told off by Rire, he was casted down to be trapped in the seventh ring of hell, violence, which he was beaten up by other sinners and having to endure the consequences of both his and his brother’s actions."

Wow, that was a lot wasn't it? I also have a design for Damion and Samael, but I am not satisfied with them and they aren't too much of a major deal on the story. I would love for people to ask questions about them and ask for any other characters if they WERE in the story as well …

I...think you may have possibly mistaken me saying Rire might cry if he was in severe pain to mean that's the only time he could cry XD; To answer your q, yes Rire can cry from emotions - the point is he would choose not to (esp in public) as that would be a weakness.

🤔 You could probably get away with the same dress design but in black, tbh (if it was Lady Rire). Since the outfit design is 1930s/1940s based Rire's equivalent would be like...a 3 piece suit with a long overcoat/trench coat.

Tbh I don't really have thoughts about any of other peoples headcanons. Like I'm generally quite neutral towards headcanons because I primarily deal with the canon; the extent of my thoughts would be like "hm i wonder how they came up with that" lol.

This is actually in my FAQ :d but good of you to check for permission! If it's your own artwork then yes it is ok to make fanmerch of Rire. Similarly Gato allows fanmerch of her BTD and TPOF characs as long as it's your own art you are selling (and not like, our art/someone else's fanart that they didn't give permission to turn into merch).

No and not really - though he is a bit more sensitive to light compared to a human as he has much better night vision than a human. He may also be able to see more colours than humans 🤔

There is technically no "stereotypical" demon in my 'verse, there's a bunch of different species each with their own looks/powers, so if he was another species then he'd have their physical characteristics. Rire's species is considered "plain" because outwardly they can pass more easily as a human than say; Izm's species (who have a really noticeable Glasgow smile-esque mouth as one of their physical features).

He's the king of his sector and his sector is pretty well-to-do, I think you can draw your own conclusions from that lol.

Your second q has two answers depending on what context I answer them in, so I'll reply in the BTD context keeping in mind a charac like EP's Cain :d Basically yes Rire would be able to sense them like he does other demons. It's not a specific sense of "THIS CHARAC IS AN ANGEL" but more like "this charac is not human" and depending on what else he gets from it a "in your best interests to not engage".

Okay let's finally begin:

It's been about 2 weeks since it happened... Last thing I remember was drinking something Charles (her boyfriend at the time/her rapist/ and one of Rire's rape victims that somehow survived children) gave me and... Then I passed out... And then I woke up... He was sleeping next to me naked and... I was naked too... There was blood all over my thighs and it looked like some of it was spread on my stomach... I couldn't really see, and my vagina hurted a lot... And there was some cum mixed with the blood... And there were bite marks all over my legs and my chest and my neck... Even a little bit of blood came out of a few of them... And there were a lot of bruises on my body... Every part of my body was really really hurting... I almost cried from the pain but I didn't... I just quietly put my clothes back on and grabbed my bag and walked home... I wanted to tell my dad... I knew he probably wouldn't really help much but make me stay away from him but... I still had to tell someone... But then Charles texted me... Threatening to kill me and a few of my family and Friends if I even thought about talking about it with someone... And I got really scared... So I just came home... I took a shower and patched up my wounds and tried to go to sleep... But I couldn't sleep... I haven't been able to sleep... Before that I'd always had trouble sleeping but... Not to the point where I couldn't sleep at all...

... And my body felt like it was screaming...

I was scared to tell anyone... I talked less... I never talked that much in the first place but... I was completely silent now... And I didn't want to be around people because I felt scared... So I just hid in my room and just sat on my bed doing nothing, and only came out to go to school and even then I just avoided people unless I had to interact with them... I didn't know who to talk to...

I was scared to talk to anyone...

I knew my mom probably wouldn't even look at me or talk to me, I mean she hasn't talked to me since I was 9 ever since her new husband started treating me like shit...but... I had to talk to someone... She used to be the person I always talked to... And she was probably the only person that could make me feel better... I just hope she will at least react or anything!...because... I don't know what to do...

I was at my mom's house this weekend... I didn't want to go to my grandpa's or Dad's... Cuz I knew if I went to either of their places I would end up seeing someone die or be forced to kill someone... And I don't like seeing that stuff at all... I don't like hurting people at all... And now is really not a good time...

And my stepdad and half siblings weren't at the house, and Sakira (her twin brother) was with Dad again this weekend... So I'm alone to talk to Mom... It was around 9: 00pm... It was dark and snowy outside... Which was pretty normal for Canada.

My mom was in the kitchen reading a book about viruses because she was always interested in them... And holding a glass of wine cuz she always had a glass of wine... I finally mustered up the courage to go up to her and talk to her about it...

I walked into the kitchen slowly... My chest was slowly tightening with anxiety... I walked next to her, of course she didn't even look at me, like I wasn't there... Like usual...

Angel:".......mom...".

She still didn't look at me... Of course.. but I still needed someone to talk to

Angel:"um...I-I'm sorry if I'm bothering you I just... I really need someone to talk to...um... While I was at Charles house he... He put something in my drink and... And it made me pass out... And when I woke up he...he-".

I hitched my breath a little bit... I felt like I couldn't breathe... I was still really scared... And mom was still not looking at me... And not speaking, just... Reading her book like I'm not even there... Even though this has been happening since I was 9... It still really hurts... But I still need someone to talk to, I could feel myself tearing up a little bit, which was kind of shocking to me since I haven't cried since I was 10.

Angel:"...There was blood all over my thighs and even a little bit on my stomach... And I was covered in bruises and bite marks and some more of my own blood... A-and... He threatened to kill me and... My family and friends if I told anyone but... I just really need someone to talk to... And my body feels like it's screaming... And you're the only person I can actually... Talk about this with...mom."

My mom still didn't even look at me... She was just reading her book and drinking her stupid glass of wine... I know she hasn't talked to me in years but... I just wanted her to at least look at me or even have a little bit of a reaction!... Anything... I don't know who to talk to and if she doesn't talk to me... I wouldn't know what to do... She's the only person I can actually talk to for fuck's sake!.

Angel:"mom please talk to me,o-or look at me, or something, please!...".

I said as tears started to come out of my eyes, I was breathing a little heavily... And all she did was take more sips of her wine, and not looking at me and she's not even saying anything.

Angel:"mom please... At least just look at me..."

Épisode 10

Avec son collègue Blotin, Ray avait rendu visite à la sœur d'Amelie , l'entretien ne rapporta pas beaucoup de renseignements. La sœur dit qu'Amelie avait rencontré un jeune homme qu'il était vidéaste, qu'ils avaient le même âge mais elle ne savait pas où il habitait et ne l'avait jamais vu de visu ou en photo.

- ma sœur avait l'air heureuse avec lui affirma la jeune femme

Blotin lui demanda qu'elle genre de vidéo faisait ce garçon, il connaissait la reponse mais il lui posa quand même la question.

- des courts métrages avec des dragons, c'est un peu ninja et gothique à la fois. Une fois elle m'a montré des extraits sur internet , il se nomme Gabin.

Elle fit visionner le site avec les extraits des vidéos, Ray et Blotin les regardèrent avec surprise .

Ray lui demanda :

- ça marche ce truc ?

- Oui plusieurs milliers de vues dit-elle légèrement amusée

Blotin regardait une femme nue qui se déplaçait dans une rue.

- pas mal ! dit-il d'un air goguenard

Ray téléphona à Ginette pour lui demander qu'elle se connecte sur le site et qu'elle essaie d''en savoir plus.

Ray pensait la même chose, il espérait que cette enquête bouge.

Ils éclaterent de rire.

Ginette avait récupéré le numéro d'un agent artistique, celui-ci figurait sur le site. Elle téléphona et se fit passer pour quelqu'un d'intéresser. Elle récupéra un nom et une adresse .

Gabin x demeurant boulevard des Remparts.

- bon ! j'envoie une demande de perquisition sur ce numéro et sur cette adresse dit Ray

Ginette dit à ses collègues qu'elle avait mis le numéro de Gabin sous surveillance mais sur son portable.

- attention ! dit Ray , quand ce sera fini désactive le truc

Ils prirent un café et en profitèrent pour monter un dispositif de surveillance.

Ils surveillèrent le domicile de Gabin sans résultat. Ginette avait réussi à récupérer la photo de Gabin sur un réseau social, elle fit circuler la photo.

Après quelques renseignements glanés avec les voisins, ils étaient sûrs que Gabin était la bonne personne à cueillir.

Une immense déflagration eût lieu dans l'immeuble, en quelques minutes les locataires sortirent de l'immeuble en flammes, les gens s'ennuyaient à droite et à gauche. Les pompiers et d'autres policiers arrivèrent rapidement.

- attention ! il s'enfuit hurla Ginette en le désignant Gabin de l'index

- arrête toi ! hurla t-elle

Ginette et Blotin se mirent à sa poursuite, Blotin fit un tir de sommation en hurlant :

- halte ! ou je tire

Gabin souriant se retourna et plongea la main dans sa poche.

Ginette tira.

Allongé sur le trottoir dans une mare de sang, Gabin vit défiler le ruban de goudron longeant le pacifique au pied des contreforts de la Sierra Madré, Los Angeles, ses boulevards, ses somptueuses villas avec piscines, les plages immenses, les flots de bagnoles, l'air de l'océan...

- à tout de suite Amelie marmona Gabin avant de s'éteindre sous le regard de Ray et de ses deux collègues.

Le corps de Gabin tressauta une dernière fois.

Ray soupira, il ne s'habituerait jamais à ces scènes.

Ginette se tordait les mains, elle allait devoir se justifier de ses gestes devant les autorités. Ils allaient éplucher son dossier . Ray et Blotin la rassurèrent , même leur supérieur soutiendrait Ginette.

Au domicile de Gabin, les flics virent un énorme trou dans le mur donnant sur le palier, la porte d'entrée était explosée. L'appartement ne valait guère mieux tout était détruit, cramé, déchiqueté, plié, la scientifique allait avoir un énorme boulot. Quelques débris humains étaient éparpillés autour de se qui avait été un congélateur.

Ray avait proposé à Ginette de venir chez lui, elle avait accepté avec un certain soulagement.

Ray affichait un air désinvolte en apparence, il portait son costume bleu en laine et une chemise mauve , il servit deux verre de whisky puis déposa un baiser sur le front de Ginette.

- t'inquiète pas Ginette lui dit Ray

- d'accord murmura t-elle les yeux inondés de larmes

Ray la serra très fort et l'embrassa encore une fois.

Ray pilla de la glace dans sa cuisine pour mettre les huîtres au frais , il entreprit de les ouvrir , ça lui occupait l'esprit .

Ginette debout contre un mur le regardait.

- c'est en quel honneur les huîtres ? demanda t-elle

- c'est juste pour le plaisir

Ginette sourit .

Plus tard assis sur le canapé, ils regardaient l'écran ou défilait un film d'art et d'essai dont le titre était inconnu.

Minuit Ray aime ce moment où la nuit bleue transforme les vitres en miroir.

Ginette avait des mains très fines et souples comme une araignée, elle déboutonna son pantalon et fourra la mzin dans son caleçon. Elle commença à caresser Ray.

Dans la chambre, beaucoup plus tard, Ray regardait par la fenêtre ouverte le ciel sombre. Ginette écrasa sa cigarette dans un vieux cendrier placé sur la table de nuit. Elle se leva pour se rendre dans la salle de bain . Elle remercia Ray :

- je te remercie Ray

- de quoi ?

- de t'occuper de moi

- c'est rien! lui dit Ray

Revenant de la salle de bain elle lui dit :

- Tu bandes ?

- Oui...

Lacsive, cuisses ouvertes elle s'offrit à Ray le laissant s'agiter avec frénésie en elle. Ils finirent la nuit enlacés.
