Just a very minor question: do you happen to know what it says on the cover of the book that the-angel-eventually-known-as-Crowley uses when he's creating the nebula in the beginning of season two?

I think it says "Nebula [something]" but I couldn't get a clear image.

Hiya! It's Nebula and then there is a number :) It is a bit of a fiend to read, it starts 23 certainly, perhaps 231 280?

I tried to google a bit and found this on the pages of the hubble telescope so they do name some objects like this.... (One of 42 new proplyds discovered in the Orion Nebula, 231-838 is one of the bright proplyds that lies relatively close to the nebula’s brightest star, Theta 1 Orionis C. Resembling a boomerang, this proplyd is surrounded by a shock wave that is caused by stellar wind from the massive Theta 1 Orionis C interacting with gas in the nebula.)

This may simply be me being absolutely unhinged, but stick with me for a moment.

…Okay, so we have Heaven’s Missing Poster for Gabriel [See Image Below].

…Many have already discovered that the number at the bottom actually works, but I was curious (and feral enough), to research and breakdown all of the numbered sets into their corresponding angel number meanings.

I think that these sets will each point to an overarching theme within this season’s plot.

1 - 838 - 222 - 2770

In their respective order, each set’s meanings are as follows (with commentary).

1 - New Beginnings. The number 1 typically signals a significant change in one’s life. Anything from embarking upon a new romantic relationship—to moving house, or changing professions.

We know (from the trailer/promo) that Crowley is living in his car (since his flat came with the job), so that means—both moving house & changing professions, have already been at least partially checked off the list.

838 - A period of deep inner transformation. The Number 838 encourages an increase in self-confidence, and reminds us that our desires, thoughts, actions, and inactions have an inevitable result. “Naysayers are voices of deceit & falsehood, hell bent on destroying your destiny.”

This one mostly speaks for itself, but the fact it’s a palindrome (meaning it reads as the same sequence of numbers backwards & forwards), makes me think that Mx. “What’s the point of it all?” Crowley, won’t be the only character undergoing an existential crisis this season.

222 - Action. Partnerships. Holding a note of fun & playfulness, the number 2 is a positive sign, especially in romantic endeavors.

The research I did for this set had me screaming into my pillow, so for simplicity sake I’ll just quote this. “Keep your eyes open, and your heart pure and clear and ready to receive love, as it is surely coming. Also, do not close yourself off to those who are already in your life—sometimes the perfect partner could be waiting right underneath our nose without us even realizing it.”

2770 - The number 2770, encourages us to reciprocate the love we receive from others. “Avoid things that could cause the people that love you to feel like you are pushing them away from your life. These people will likely need your help in one way or another, and it’s important to never say you are too busy for them.”

Not to quote Crowley, again. But—“You WHAT?” Neil, please tell me this has nothing to do with episode 3. I AM FRAGILE.

I could be completely off the mark here, but speculation is fun, and I HAVE to know if anyone else is looking into this.

On Christmas Eve December 24th 1944, FEF-3 class 4-8-4 No. 844 was delivered to the Union Pacific Railroad by the American Locomotive Company. Being the last member of the FEF-3 class, the last 4-8-4, and the last overall steam locomotive to be built for the UP, the 844 would be assigned to pull passenger trains such as the Overland Limited, Los Angeles Limited, Portland Rose and the Challenger. But as diesels took over all of the railroad's passenger services, the 844 would be used on freight service from 1957 to 1959.

While most of Union Pacific's FEF class locomotives were scrapped after retirement, the 844 on UP's roster for excursion service thus earning its nickname "The Living Legend". Aside from the 844, three other FEF class locomotives also reamin in existance, those are FEF-1 No. 814 at the RailsWest Railroad Museum in Council Bluffs, Iowa, FEF-2 No. 833 at the Utah State Railroad Museum in Ogden, Utah, and FEF-3 No. 838 which is kept as a parts source for the 844.

Since the year of 1960, the 844 has pulled numerous excursions across the Union Pacific's system including the now-discontinued Cheyenne-Denver excursion trains for Cheyenne Frontier Days. The locomotive has also run alongside and doubleheaded with other notable steam locomotives such as Challenger No. 3985, Southern Pacific GS-4 No. 4449 and Big Boy No. 4014.

In 1962, the 844 gained an extra '4' as it was renumbered to 8444 because a diesel, an EMD GP30, carried the same number. When the GP30 was retired and donated to the Nevada Southern Railroad Museum in Boulder City, Nevada in June 1989, the 8444 became the 844 again though some people still call the locomotive 8444. The number 8444 is now in use on the UP's active roster for an EMD SD70ACe.

Following the Great Race To Ogden excursion with the 4014, the 844 hasn't pulled any excursions for it continues to remain in the Cheyenne Roundhouse where the UP's steam program is based, although it is maintained to continue remaining in operating condition. Some people say that the 844 will return again in 2025 while others say it may be further into the future, but who knows at this point.
