In mini-fic response to anon's post about a certain someone arriving at the Hotel:

Charlie: *gasps, eyes sparkling* Oh, a new guest? And so soon after Sir Pentious!

Charlie: C o m i n g ~ *pulls the front door open* Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel… nobody?

Charlie: *looks left and right in confusion* Is this one of Angel’s pranks?

????: *small voice from below* Excuse me.

Charlie: *startles and looks down, eyes widening in shock* Oh!

Vaggie: *walking up behind her* Charlie, who’s at the door- *blinks in shock* Is- Is that a child?!

????: *a young girl stares up at them with large eyes (grey with black sclera) from behind a curtain of inky hair that hides half her face*

*Husk, Angel and Sir Pentious, gathered at the bar, all crane their necks to see past Vaggie at the source of the commotion*

Angel: Holy crap! That really is a kid!

Husk: *remembering his own family from back on earth* She can’t be any older than three… how on earth…?

Sir Pentious: *eyes welling up* I-Is she really a sinner? Poor thing…

Charlie: *recomposes herself, kneeling to look the young girl in the properly in the eyes* Sorry about that! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel! How can we help you today? Are you looking for redemption?

????: I’m looking for my mommy.

Charlie: *heart overflowing in sympathy* Oh no…

Vaggie: You’ve gotten separated from your mother? How long have you been separated?

????: A very, very long time.

Vaggie: *to herself* She’s just a little kid… So that could mean anything from five minutes ago to five years ago… Oh God, what if her mother was lost during the last extermination?!

Charlie: *stands and offers a hand* Well, don’t you worry! We’ll help you find her!

????: *frowns at her hand, before taking it and following her inside*

Charlie: Do you like apple juice? Husk, do you have any juice behind the counter?

????: *shrugs indifferently, looking around the lobby, eyeing each person with a critical eye*

Charlie: *nods patiently, thanks Husk, and leads the girl to the lobby’s couch, pouring out glass*

Charlie: So, where did you did you last see your mommy?

????: I saw Mommy on the TV. The TV said he is here!

Charlie: The… TV said that… your mommy was here? Are you sure?

????: *nods firmly*

Charlie: *turns to her partner* Vaggie… do you…?

Vaggie: *rubs her forehead* Sorry, I don’t either. You don’t think Niffty-

Husk: *flatly* Absolutely not.

Charlie: *takes a deep breath* Okay, well, maybe Al will know-

Alastor: *calling from upstairs* What’s all this? Do we have a new guest?

????: *the moment that voice spoke, the ears that that had laid flat and unnoticed until now suddenly flick up, twitching restlessly*

Charlie: *flagging him down* Al, good timing, do you know- ah!

????: *jumps up from the couch, shaking and breathing heavily*

Charlie: *holding her hands up* Don’t be scared! Alastor works here! He won’t hurt you!

????: *doesn’t seem to hear her, stumbling slowly around the couch to where the Radio Demon is making his way down*

Alastor: *stops at the foot of the stairs, and tilts his head slightly, narrowing his eyes* You’re…

????: *stares at him for a long moment… before giggling*

Alastor: *his eyes widen in recognition, shoulders subtly tensing* Eveline.

Eveline: *gleefully* I finally found you, Mommy!

Mark had prayed all his life for a guardian angel.

Never did he think one would come as an Alternate, of all things.

But...how else could he describe you?

Ever since that night, you've kept your promise to protect him, keeping him safe from the others who wanted to prey on his loss of faith and hope.

It still took a while for him to fully trust you, though, getting jumpy whenever he spots you in the corner when he's about to sleep or hears your voice all of the sudden.

And of course his nightmares have gotten 10x worse, but you're always there to comfort him.

The worst ones are where you sell him out to your "Savior", though those eventually faded.

You only went into hiding when Thatcher visited his house for a wellness check after his school's receptionist got concerned with his prolonged absence.

He didn't give away the fact you were still present, but did report his encounters with the other hostile Alternates, allowing the lieutenant to collect evidence.

Once Mark is determined not to show any M.A.D symptoms, he's okay enough to go back to school, where you still watch over him regularly.

Alternates haven't found a way to infiltrate schools yet, but you didn't wanna take any chances.

From your observations, you learn that he's quite the shy/loner kid, sometimes getting teased by others for his personality alone.

You also learned that Cesar usually rushed to his defense...but with him gone, Mark was pretty much on his own now.

One day, he's drawing you during class. But when the teacher left the room for a minute, some jerk snatched his "Reassurances" notebook and made fun of him in front of everyone.

He managed to get it back, but he hid in the bathroom during lunchtime and cried for a while until you appeared in the mirror and asked what's wrong.

Long story short, you gave the bully M.A.D later that night and left them to their fate (spoiler: they were part of the 3% who lived, unfortunately, but they dropped out of school).

Mark's not one to condone this kind of thing from you, but....you actually did him a huge favor by getting rid of them. They've bullied him for years--ever since the day he shared that "scary night" story back in elementary, in fact, and they never let it go.

With them gone, he becomes a bit more confident in himself, eventually telling his friends about how an Alternate actually helped him.

Ofc seldom few actually believe him, though it definitely caught the attention of Adam, Jonah, Sarah, and Evelin.

They're trying to get a paranormal/ghost-hunting club established and think it would be neat to have a friendly Alternate as their mascot and/or helper.

They are surprised when Mark agrees to join, considering he used to say it was "demonic" and didn't want anything to do with the club--but you've changed his perspective.

Obviously they don't want any authority figures getting word of an Alternate hanging around the school, so they do their best to talk to you in secret, learning how you helped their friend that night and why you're so benevolent towards innocent humans.

Sarah and Jonah are lowkey nervous interacting with you (Sarah bc her brother nearly died thanks to the actions of two other members of your kind, and Jonah bc he's skittish around all things scary).

If anyone trusts you, though, it's Mark.

ohh can we hear about the monster au...

YES YOU CAN sure glad you asked-

OKAY. so. first off i'll address the main differences between the new au and the old one. First off. Alternates do not exist. Monsters do, but alternates don't. Secondly. Rest in piece characters like Werewolf Seth, vampire Cesar, Siren Jonah, and Angel Gabriel Hart. They are no longer in this. Thirdly. Characters that were alternates in the og au are either now monsters, or are still human. now. allow me to ramble about the characters because Brainrot is a bitch /VLH

Okay. firstly. there are a few characters that have gone through very little change from the alt monster au, aka Evelin (still a zombie), Dave (could NOT give up big bird man, but he is a tad different i guess), Adam, (still a fucked up werewolf) and Sarah (still human).

However there are differences, for example, Jonah is actually still human and. alive??? and not mutilated??? unheard of for an au of mine I know /VLH HJ

however, there are some other characters that i'd like to get into but may answer in a separate ask or post to prevent this from getting too long. For example: Mark (used to be human but. not really anymore.) Cesar (uhm. heheh. he's been better), Thatcher, Ruth, and overall. just. other possible characters I still haven't gotten to yet.

But yeah. not a whole lot of worldbuilding yet as I only officially made the decision to make this its own au like. last night. at 2 am. but still I. would like to ramble about it so i'm up for questions :) /nf

i'm deranged about this. most of these were decided upon with @forgetmenautical ^_^ have some beasts

adam: angel that is not aware he’s an angel (was probably replaced by one as a child and has just lived his life like this). he’s called by his father to come and use the evangelion and he links with it immediately. has trouble getting along with the other pilots and…anyone he interacts with honestly. spends the majority of his time in the evangelion to the point where they keep trying to get him out of it

evangelion listens TOO closely to him. acts on subconscious thought

he was that angel found at the bottom of the lake. lmao. lol even. he doesn’t really know this

sarah: agreed to becoming a pilot for the sole reason of wanting to honor mark’s legacy. in all actuality she’s terrified of it, but doesn’t want to lose the only ties to her brother she has. very hostile towards mcp3 for their involvement in his death but stays with them anyway. gets along with ruth because they both don’t trust anyone here

only stays at nerv to honor mark’s legacy. the longer she stays, and the more danger she’s in, the more she wonders if this is what he would want

tries to leave at a certain point. they won’t let her

was given mark’s evangelion. she feels sick every time. swears she can hear him

relationship with cesar deteriorates the more she goes into the evangelion. tries to kill him at some point

evelin: i haven’t figured her stuff out yet. was here before adam and sarah but keeps getting put in situations (her evangelion keeps going berserk HELP HER). dave kind of took her in but she decides to look into the nerv secrets on her own since he won’t say anything. tries to be friends with adam but something is just so deeply wrong with him and she keeps getting involved. sarah’s mostly normal near-murders aside

TOTALLY not a false human. cause i’d never have her parallel adam ever

you’ve never seen a sadder pilot in your entire life

jonah: meets adam through school and immediately tries to befriend him. he thinks the two of them are very close friends (they are not. adam doesn’t like him). upon becoming a pilot, he goes into his first fight and his evangelion corrupts. adam goes to fight the rogue evangelion but ends up using way too much force. jonah either gets severely injured but he STILL keeps trying to be positive

uses cesar’s old eva in the fight. it doesn’t sync well with him.

after the head of his evangelion is ripped off, he’s incapable of speech for a month after the fact. he doesn’t respond to stimuli.

mark: one of the first pilots used. his main reason for joining nerv was so that he could protect sarah (and look how well that went!). he was murdered by cesar’s berserk evangelion.

didn’t realize cesar was controlled by the angel during their last fight. spent his last moments in utter terror.

cesar: same as mark. during one of their battles, an angel took over cesar/his evangelion and used him to kill mark. after this happens, he’s kept under surveillance by nerv, and becomes a psychologist for them later in life. he doesn’t trust them after mark’s death, and tries to convince the pilots that staying isn’t worth it. he’s banned from talking to adam.

keeps trying to help sarah escape. issue is that she still blames him for mark’s death on some level

very tense with mcp3 since they were part of the reason why everything happened

thatcher’s superior. lmao

something is SO WRONG with him. how are you a therapist you need that

thatcher: a scientist at nerv (thatcher, ruth, and dave all joined after graduating college). joined because he wanted to help people but has realized over the years that nerv is doing the opposite of that. he lets adam (and later, sarah) stay with him when they join as pilots despite being the worst possible person to have roommates. knows that his friends are hiding something from him, but he’s too busy with trying to not let these kids die to explore deeper

friends with cesar. kind of. it’s hard to truly be friends with someone when you were partially responsible for the death of their best friend but they try

tries to help adam and sarah. doesn’t go too well

dave: another scientist. he works very closely with the magi and spends the majority of his time in those damn computer tunnels. knows the whole deal with the evangelions and lilith and all of that, but doesn’t tell ruth or thatcher about it. doesn’t really let himself realize that what he’s doing is wrong, he keeps trying to convince himself that this is a good idea (and putting children in living mech suits is ALWAYS a good idea). has to realize that isn’t true when it’s already too late

as mentioned earlier. takes in evelin upon meeting her. since jude sucks LMAO

feels bad about lying to his friends but what is he gonna do. tell the truth (TELL THE TRUTH. PLEASE)

ruth: also a scientist. unlike thatcher, she realizes dave’s lying and decides to do something about it in between trying to do her job. starts trying to get into the basement + figure out what the evangelions are. most probably doomed but she can stay silly. ends up befriending sarah on account of both of them not trusting this place at all.

occasionally checks on thatcher. this is how she met sarah actually

doesn’t trust adam as far as she can throw him but hey she trusts thatcher’s judgement (she really shouldn’t this will only end poorly)

jude: runs nerv. there isn’t too much to say about him he sucks LMAO. knows about adam being an angel but decides he can use that for the evangelion purposes. doesn’t talk to him outside of that though

Resident Evil AU/original location

What if the Metamycete in Romania and its spinoff in Dulvey wasn't the only humungous fungus around? What if there was another one, in, say, Eastern Oregon? Sort of like a bioweapon version of this:

The major difference in my AU from "just another RE game" is that Metamycetes as a whole tend to amplify and echo the prevalent emotions of the people attuned to it, while granting them immortality. The Romanian fungus is attuned to a sociopath driven mad by grief who's been packing the fungus to bursting with terror, pain, suffering, and anguish for 100 years straight, and the Dulvey spinoff of that fungus is attuned to a mentally unstable and incredibly traumatized child who has never known kindness in her entire life and is so desperate for human contact that she'll brainwash people into being her new family. It's like programming: Garbage In, Garbage Out.

The other fungus, located in and around the fictional town of Devil's Butte, Oregon, isn't like that. Mayor Malder has been very careful to do the exact opposite and ensure the townspeople are doing well emotionally and financially. The town is prospering in a way that small, non-tourist-trappy towns in the United States in the early 21st century generally aren't. As a result, the Mold is healthy (it's colored white instead of black), and Devil's Butte is a pocket of the sort of Norman Rockwell small-town Americana that doesn't exist anymore, with some modern Oregon tweaks like liberalism, racial diversity (to the best of their ability, it's still rural Oregon), legalized weed, and gay marriage.

Mayor Malder, although perpetually the incumbent, has made it his mission to improve on his previous term, every term he serves. How long has he been doing this? He first ran in 1896, went through a stress-induced breakdown, ran off into the woods, encountered the Pale God (the good opposite of the Black God from RE: Village) who gave him immortality and a pep talk, and proceeded to turn the town around. He's got three forms: normal old man (his default form for all public appearances), "Mother Miranda but male and with doves instead of crows" (very rarely used), and "OH MY GOD A BIBLICALLY ACCURATE ANGEL" (never used before, God willing it never will be, because that's the "We're Being Invaded" body).

He also has a Cabinet of people he's given abilities to via the Mold, something that healthy Mold can do naturally and on command but that The Connections crudely modified Eveline's mold to do via disease-like infection and that Mother Miranda had to brute-force via cadou.

His Cabinet includes, but isn't limited to:

Sunshine Daniels, an ex-hippie lady turned weed grower. Producer of the highly-sought-after, Mold-altered strain "The Goodest Shit", which isn't moldy itself per se, but has been modified via the Mold's gene-altering properties to give a longer and stronger high than anything else on the market. Ms. Daniels met the Mayor in the mid to late 70s as the hippie movement was starting to run out of steam, and started her weed-growing career running a small drug empire peddling The Goodest Shit to college students prior to the legalization of weed.

2. Jane Malheur, proprietor of "Jane's Antiques & Curios", an antique store that is rumored to be haunted, and draws tourists in for the creep factor. Jane claims to be the third-generation proprietor of the business, which has been there since the 1890s, but she is Jane I, not Jane III. She has been hiding her immortality from tourists by pretending to be her own granddaughter, who doesn't actually exist. The reason the store is rumored to be haunted is that she used her Mold powers to bring some antique porcelain dolls, other toys, and a vintage department store mannequin to life to help her with the business in her old age. (She was already old when she joined the Cabinet in the 1930s.)

Imagine being a meth addict and breaking into the place at night for cash, and you think there's a person there, counting cash, but you get a good look and there's just a static mannequin. You could have sworn you saw movement though. You look away, and when you look back it isn't there. You whirl around, wondering where the mannequin went, but there's this 50s women's face painted onto a plastic mannequin, with unsettlingly lifelike eyes that you realize aren't painted on at all, leaning in just inches from your face. As you run to get the fuck out of there, antique dolls track your movements with their heads. (Don't worry, they don't hurt anyone, they just like to troll people.)

3. The OG member of the Cabinet and an old fly-fishing buddy of Mayor Malder, an old Southern gentleman named Samuel Clemens. Yes, that Samuel Clemens, the one who's better known by his pen name, Mark Twain. His mold powers allow him to heal any wound instantly, on him or on another Mold-touched individual. Heck, maybe if Ethan Winters swings around town he could get his fingers back! His healing powers are like a more potent and versatile version of Ethan Winters' ability to pour hydrogen peroxide on a severed limb and reattach it, fully functional, in 30 seconds by pressing the stump and the limb together like he's trying to glue something at the arts-and-crafts table. Both Samuel and Ethan's toolkit have one important thing in common, though: G U N

4. Wally Wyman, owner of the local (small) amusement park, Wally's Wonderland. Wally's Wonderland has a sort of "Babes In Toyland" vibe, lots of nutcracker-type antique toy soldiers and other copyright-friendly symbols of childhood joy. He's also the local mechanic who runs Wally's Garage, and his Mold powers include the ability to imbue Mold consciousness into mechanical items. His car, a 1932 Cord 812, is alive and named Henrietta after Wally's mother. The last time someone tried to steal Henrietta's parts, Wally had to convince her to spit the thief out, as she's got flesh and blood under the upholstery and metal and took offense to a meth addict trying to pull her grille off for the scrap metal value. (She's not like Christine. Although she IS pretty attached to Wally, there's more of a platonic "exasperated middle-aged dad/chaos gremlin nine-year-old girl" kind of relationship between them)

The old animatronics at Wally's Wonderland are also alive, and although locals know they are, they act like cheap, unrealistic animatronics for the tourists who stop for chili dogs, go-kart racing, octopus rides, teacup rides, cotton candy, an arcade so old all its games are now nostalgic and retro (Anyone for a game of Street Fighters I? What about Pong?), and the pride and joy of the park, "Devil's Twister", the only British-style helter-skelter amusement park ride in the United States! (It's a slide. That's what a Helter Skelter is. It's a spiraling slide you go down on a little mat. Also the name of a banger Beatles song!)

There's also the Order Of The Pale God, an honest-to-God 19th century secret society a la the Odd Fellows, which is a syncretic mixture of the normal 19th century secret society occultism and very heavy influences (and membership) from the Northern Paiute tribe of Native Americans, who have lived in the area (and known about the Mold) for millennia. As you can probably expect, they worship the Pale God. They also do soup kitchens, run several nonprofits, and generally do their level best to ensure the vibes in town are as immaculate as possible. It is their duty, and their calling. The Pale God demands His supplicants and denizens be happy and content, for only then can He be happy and content as well. The Head Of The Order is a certain William Pamahas, a half-Northern-Paiute-half-white person who founded the Order all the way back in the 19th century, and has been rewarded by the Pale God with long life.)

I'd imagine this place would send Chris Redfield into conniptions because there is CLEARLY bioweapon activity going on but everyone's OK with it??? And there aren't any mysterious disappearances or confirmed kills???? At all????????

I'd imagine he first gets alerted that orbital bioweapon detector scan things have detected a large accumulation of Metamycete in Oregon, so he investigates the town closest to the center. One of the BSAA interns is actually from Devil's Butte but never figured out anything was amiss when they lived there, and is just like "Damn, Jack Malder is still mayor? Man, he's been mayor for as long as anyone can remember!"

And Chris decides to go investigate in person, gets treated with hostility by everyone in town who's in on the secret and quite a few people who aren't (because ACAB here in Oregon), and gets gaslit by Wally's boys when he pokes around to investigate. Imagine Chris going there and asking questions, and The Boys (as the townsfolk know the animatronics) are trolling him by using their internal Mold reservoirs to make their proportions just slightly off every time Chris looks away: he turns away and as he turns he realizes that the Tin Soldier animatronic is looking right at him with an unsettlingly realistic grin with actual teeth that are too long and too numerous, and then when he double-takes the Soldier's face is normal.

EDIT: Sunshine Daniels has to wear very thick gloves at all times, because her Mold power is that she can give a contact high to anyone she makes skin-to-skin contact with, like through a handshake.

ANOTHER EDIT: The Devil's Twister in Wally's Wonderland has a somewhat tinny PA system which plays "Helter-Skelter" by the Beatles on loop. At the exit of the ride, behind theft-proof bulletproof glass with an honestly comedic amount of locks (most of which are just there for show, it's a couple of expensive German locks that do most of the security), lies Wally's greatest achievement: a binding legal document from Columbia Records giving him rights to use the song on his ride in perpetuity, made possible by writing John Lennon and Paul McCartney a letter back in the 60s, asking if he could use it, and the Beatles thought it was cool that there was a helter-skelter in America so they persuaded the execs to allow it, but only for this one tiny little ride in the middle of nowhere (the execs thought they were so clever)

It's theft-proof because meth heads + out-of-the-way area + signed document bearing the signatures of two of the four Beatles = someone not in their right mind looking at this marvel of achievement of the common man's victory over suits in boardrooms, hands trembling from withdrawal, and seeing nothing but dollar signs.

YET ANOTHER EDIT: The hobo who tried to strip Henrietta for parts was fine, just slightly bruised around the midriff where the hood got him and in desperate need of new pants. The local police are vaguely aware of the whole mold thing, but the general consensus among them

STILL ANOTHER EDIT: The local police are considered A-OK by townsfolk, because they're Good Old Town Boys (And Girls And Nonbinary) and the town's adoption of improved screening has done wonders in ensuring that corrupt psychos never get a badge in HIS town. Devil's Butte PD still do foot patrols, an extreme rarity among post-1950s US police forces, are given (informal) training in de-escalation, and are equipped similarly to 1950s police forces: no tanks and assault rifles to be found, only revolvers and spiffy Norman Rockwell uniforms! (They do have bulletproof vests, though, but they're the subtle kind for under the shirt to decrease intimidation factor without compromising protection.) Furthermore, since the foot patrol beat cops most often have stations and patrols in the neighborhood(s) they live in, this incentivizes good behavior as it would be rather awkward as an off-duty cop talking to your next door neighbor over the fence like a pair of 1950s dads and suddenly having to explain why he saw you taking bribes.

The townsfolk don't like authority figures from outside town, though, as they are keenly aware they've got the singular, only-of-its-kind American police department that actually serves and protects instead of shooting people because acorns fall on the shiny cop cars. The town's general feeling in regards to the feds in general and the BSAA in particular is "Fuck off, we're doing just fine on our own. Glory to the Pale God and contentment be upon us."

Mandela Catalog x Dungeons and Dragons AU

Why??? Because my brainrot never sleeps.

D&D I am still kiiinda hyperfixated on, and of course y’all know the same is very true for The Mandela Catalog.

Lemme know if y’all want any more of this. I’ve already started to sketch designs.

So I’ve been thinking: what if the story was set in a D&D universe?

The Alternates are actually an elite group of Changelings sent from the Feywild, by Gabriel, a high-ranking Fey (who sealed away and disguised himself as a high-ranking Celestial who oversaw it) that wants the main plane of the world to fall to its knees, and become basically a new Feywild. I switched up some races (as in human or something else, I mean) but kept them humanoid and roughly human-sized.

This all began when I started making classes for the main cast:

Mark: Fighter (Battlemaster, a more modern setting would be Gunslinger) / Barbarian (Zealot), Half-Elf. I think he comes from a tough family as far as all that training goes.

Cesar: Fighter (Psi Knight) / Cleric (Knowledge), Aasimar. Don’t wanna talk much about the alt one tbh, though I do have ideas for him. This dude is just clever, nice, and not to be trifled with.

Adam: Blood Hunter (Mutant) / Warlock (Celestial, but could also be fiend), Changeling (believes he is a Tiefling, and looks as such). I did not choose Tiefling to demonize here, we don’t do that around these parts. On the contrary, Tieflings are my favorite race, and I like their misunderstood history and feel it fits Adam wonderfully.

Jonah: Rogue (Arcane Trickster), high elf. Because hehe stoner but also just The Vibes. Was thinking of making him a Tiefling too, but decided not to.

Sarah: Monk (Long Death) / Paladin (Vengeance), Half-Elf. Let her be POWERFUL, dangit. Imo she already is in canon. Her and her brother tag team really well.

Evelin: Druid (Dreams), Eladrin Elf. I thought it would be interesting that her Druidic power is connected to the Feywild, referencing how she was influenced by Adam in-series. Idk why she gives me Druid vibes. I think she’d mostly take her autumn form, possibly winter.

Dave: Sorcerer (Divine Soul), Half-Elf. Going off the idea that he’s related to Mark and Sarah. Just because I think that it would be neat to upgrade him to have more of a metaphysical kind of skillset given that this horror ain’t so analog, but he’s also a Normal Dude caught up in bullcrap. …the audience for this AU, I’m pretty sure, consists mainly of me and my friend Bel. Wah.

Ruth: Paladin (Ancients) / Rogue (Swashbuckler), Air or Fire Genasi. Not sure what kind. I just know she’s neat, tbh. NO WAIT I FORGOR, AASIMAR! CUZ GUARDIAN ANGEL. And I know there isn’t much confirmed about her in-universe, but I think these classings fit her. Charismatic and crafty when she has to be, but doing all she does for the greater good.

Thatcher: Rogue (Phantom) / Paladin (Watchers), Shifter. I do think Thatcher is so entrenched in the stuff that he’s up against that he’d need to be a bit like it to stand tall as long as he has, and I feel like making him a shifter is perfect for that.

so i'll start w ruth. she has three halos bc i wanted her to resemble 333 and her guardian angel stuff. as for her wings, i gave her yellow bc thats just the color i gave her (i make yellow characters suffer so much though i am so sorry to ruth DFVGBHNJ), as for her size i am just a pretty ruth advocate and beeg wings just make her look pretty <33333

for mark and cesar: mark has a halo going around his head bc i thought it would be a cool contrast to everyone else's halos! i gave him blue wings bc everyone gives him the blue color so i sacrificed my pride and gave him blue </3. as for cesar, he gets two halos bc one symbolizes his fanon death, which is him somehow either slitting his throat or stabbing it. his wings are red bc he is just so red <3333

for thatcher: he has lil tiny baby wings bc i said so. i genuinely cannot remember why i gave him tiny ass wings but here we are DCFVGBHNJ. for his halo tho i just thought itd be a cool contrast as well!!!!

for lynn and jude: their halos are intertwined to serve as irony that their marriage here is the opposite of how it was in the real world. they are cyan and indigo bc thats just the colors i have them lmao

for adam and jonah: adam's stuff is all for alternate symbolism and stuff. like him having horns, a tail, and having his wings fade to black? yeah thats just him being an alt LMAOOO. as for jonah, he doesnt have wings or a halo bc thatcher hasnt actually met him yet.

for sarah, she is represented as more of a growing angel. her barely formed halo and wings are representative of her still needing to grow up as well as more symbolism for thatcher having not met her yet.

i havent thought abt dave much but he does get a halo and wings of his own. he is very lime green colored and probably has two halos, both going over his eyes to symbolize his death. he is only seen when thatcher goes back into that world through a dream he has before waking up in catalyst.

ALSO EVELIN IS GONNA BE IN THIS TOO!!!! shes gonna be w adam and its also gonna be irony in how their relationship turned out. idk what her design is gonna be yet tho so gimme time to think abt her.

alt thatcher also only appears in the pre-catalyst dream, but he has MUCH bigger wings than anyone else to act as symbolism for him being a "better version" of thatcher. a bright glorious halo surrounds his head as well to further the symbolism.

can i hear the rundown of the faith tmc au :o

Yes, you may! (Note things are liable to change because I'm re-reading the books to make sure I've planned things properly, so don't take all of these as strictly canon unless they've already been written. Also, there will be spoilers.)

So FAITH is a pretty morbid comic book. Nobody knows who the artist is, their signature is unintelligible; the publishing house doesn't seem to exist, the story jumps around like we're reading through the eyes of someone with little to no attention span and the characters all seem to be based on kids that've gone missing. Some of them are pretty young, too: the age range for these characters is 6-15, with the oldest known character being 19. For whatever reason, some interesting person seems to be drawing inspiration from these missing person's cases and is putting the kids into sadistic storylines just to kill them gruesomely-and they're not shy about showing any gore, either.

Cesar comes across this comic pretty much by force. Some weirdo at a graduation party practically shoves it into his hands and then dares him to call on the comic's big bad, the Archangel. Cesar agrees to do it partially just to get rid of him and it ends up being the worst mistake of his young life.

Things happen, shit hits the fan and Mark is on the phone when Cesar goes missing. The good: he doesn't hear anything. The bad: the Archangel's attack dogs think that he did. They lure him into an abandoned shop under the false pretense of a job in an attempt to corner him and almost get him; but he gets away thanks to literally falling through the two realities into their own world.

Timeskip twelve years. We're now following Adam and two of his friends, Jonah and Evelin. Adam's got an interest in things of the morbid sort, and with his birthday coming up Jonah wants to surprise him with something.

He stumbles across a copy of FAITH sitting in a garbage can, reads it, freaks himself out and then brings it to show Adam at school the next day...Only for the pages to be completely blank. Where a story once was shown were now blank black pages.

Adam makes fun of him over it for the rest of the day, starting with "you read comic books?" to "do you seriously think this is real?". The chant to bring the archangel to you written on the last page (which was still intact, albeit fading fast: maybe Jonah skipped a few pages on the first reading?) didn't convince him, instead he half-jokingly dared Jonah to summon him.

Jonah followed through on the dare out of spite. This turned out to be a bad idea. He called Adam in a panic, begging him to come over; and after more teasing and jeering Adam agreed to spend the night until his paranoia went away.

Except when he shows up to Jonah's house, he's not there. His bike is, but searching the house turns up nothing but signs of a fight.

A week later at school, a kid who looks suspiciously like Jonah shows up in another copy of FAITH. Adam wants to shake it off--FAITH isn't real, after all. It's just the brainchild some sick fuck who's a little too interested in gore.

That's all it is...Right? The Archangel isn't real. The angel's not real.

The angel's not real...But he refers to Jonah by name at the end of the last issue featuring him.

The Archangel's not real. That kid's name just happens to be Jonah. There's no way he actually manipulated his friend into being dragged to Hell and watched him only survive by the skin of his teeth.

Evelyn and Sarah are best friends and this is just. A fact. They've been best friends since 3rd grade and Sarah, even being a lesbian, helps Evelyn sort out any problems with Adam should they arise. Sarah always down for a beatdown <3

Sarah has been researching the reincarnation process ever since Mark died. She heard about it through Evelyn one day during summer camp and it's become an obsession. She believes Mark was a part of this process, due to evidence of him having supernatural prowess because of people listening to him when he used certain voices, but she still has not figured out how close Mark really is to her- through Jonah. She also does research on Alternates, of course, but does not know their full connection to the reincarnations. Sarah does end up meeting a certain angel someday, however, which fully integrates her more into the plot.

Evelyn met Adam in high school sophomore year, and the two are together still and started daring senior year. Evelyn works both at MandelaTech and at BPS part-time, though MandelaTech takes up most of her time. She knows Adam and Jonah are part of the reincarnation process because of her own research she did with her mother- a cryptologist- but doesn't exactly know how to tell them, due to social anxiety and just generally being bad with words. Her social anxiety doesn't do any favors for Adam and Evelyn's relationship, but seeing as to how Adam's a reincarnation, there are bigger things to worry about. She is also very close with Adam's little sister Mary, and often invites Mary to go out to outings with her and Sarah.

Resident Evil AU

Eveline joining the hotel has a lot of interesting possibilities (great mini-fic by the way @randomreader92 love the demon Evie design) and all of it depends on if she can or would use the powers she had while alive.

When Eveline was alive, the moment she was welcomed in by the Bakers, she told the family's daughter "They're mine now," infected them with the mold, ostracized the existing daughter, and warped the family into what she wanted. Obviously, this would be Alastor's assumption and nightmare the moment she appears, and he would do anything he can to prevent that.

But in the Shadow of Rose DLC when she was dead, her powers worked a little differently. She didn't infect minds, her power focused on the hallucinations to the point of being practically reality-warping and ability to send people flying backwards. That could very well be the power she has in hell. In this AU, the mold originated in hell, so it wouldn't stand out and impact people nearly as much. She can't influence people and warp their souls, but her hallucination abilities are to the point of being almost identical to the reality-warping Alastor has. Her shift in power might also have something to do with the way Alastor killed her, since he has powers of his own and if the tech that created the thing to kill her in RE canon doesn't exist, he would have needed to improvise.

If Eveline does have her original powers, they probably don't work on Alastor, Charlie, Lucifer, or Niffty (Niffty being Guy's kid so she's got untapped mold power) but they would on Vaggie, Husk, and Angel. That's not worth trying.

Plus, she didn't care about the Bakers and Guy didn't know them before the incident, so they got twisted, but Guy was lucid most of the time (not counting memory problems) because he and Alastor are the people she wanted. The hotel is different. These are people Alastor cares about or at least protects. Would she take the risk of making him hate her more by trying to use her powers on the hotel, knowing that alive he could overpower her and he probably can as a demon too, or go along with Charlie's "don't brainwash people, it starts with sorry" thing if it meant having a chance to be around the person she sees as mommy?

Finding out the horrible fate that befell Guy after everything would probably also dissuade her from using that power again.

New Start in Brighton (AU by @chibicharmie) - A TMC and Walten Files crossover. After barely surviving a home invasion that was assumed to be an Alternate invasion, James, Kassandra, and Dave had finally had enough with Mandela and decided to speed up the process of moving out of the town. They eventually settle in Brighton, Michigan, where they meet new neighbors and they and some of their friends who followed them for a new start get involved in the company and the restaurant they're trying to start up. What new adventures and friendships will this city bring to them?

Sibling AU - An AU where Mark and Sarah are adopted siblings. When David and Anna both die in a car accident, leaving the two kids as the only survivors, the Torres family take them in. Mark and Cesar had a close friendship before, but now they had evolved to stepbrothers. They don't mind, of course. Dave helps out the Torres family too so Mark grows close to his cousins too. Of course, there's still the alternates so they have to survive as a family.

Mandelacraft - In the distant future, players are able to play Minecraft with a new revolutionary VR headset that allows them to enjoy the game in full virtual reality. A group of kids from Wisconsin are playing the game, having a good time when they notice they can't quit the game. The sky turns back, a pair of eyes appear and a booming voice speaks to them.

"All of you are no longer able to log out of the game. If someone attempts to log you out from the outside, you will die. If you die in the game, you die in the outside world. The only way to get out... is to beat Minecraft."

A Minecraft AU with Sword Art Online added to the mix. :3

Magical Girl Angelic Evelin!! - In a small Wisconsin town, the alternates have been reeking havoc. The government's attempts at stopping them have failed and the townsfolk were on the brink of despair. One night, an angel comes up to a young woman and grants her the ability to transform into a magical girl and battle the alternates. Soon enough, more girls get the same power and they form a magical girl group. They have hope that they can defeat the alternates and bring peace. The question is... will it be enough?

Mandela Homicides - Based off the game Happyhills Homicide. Mandela county is being threatened by a serial killer who brutally kills people. While their lives are on the line, suspicions begin to rise. Who could this killer be?

Waning Flames (AU by @chibicharmie) - The Flammias are snatched off the streets one day while they are walking home. The clock is ticking as their friends try to figure out who kidnapped them so they can save them before it's too late.

Second Chance (AU by @chibicharmie) - The sequel to Teens of Mandela and Mandela Runaways. Camila and Santiago have been dead for a while. Killed by an alternate of their son. They make a simple wish. They wish for their kids to get a restart on life without having to worry about the horrors of their town. Next thing they know, they're back at the hospital only things have changed. Cesar now has the brother that was taken from him. The people that have died are now alive. They have been given their second chance. Now, they have to make sure they don't screw it up.

Mandela Heroes - In the small town of Mandela, there is an evil organization that has been terrorizing the citizens for a long time. They call themselves the alternates. No matter how hard they tried, the MCPD just can't seem to track them down. They were always elusive, slipping away at the last moment. They wished there was a group of heroes who could stop them.

One night, there was a flash of light followed by an explosion at the Mandela Community Church, resulting in the windows being blown out. No traces of an explosive were found in their investigation. Soon after, there were multiple reports of winged individuals apprehending criminals. Soon, a new group was formed. The Angels of Mandela.

Mark, Cesar and their friends all formed this group to help the citizens of the town as well as try to stop the alternates once and her all. But they have no idea what lies ahead as new foes appear and dark secrets are uncovered as well as the group bearing the burden and responsibility of being a hero...

TMC x TheSunVanished - One day, the sun has stopped rising. A young boy wakes up to confusion. What's going on? Where is the sun? As he tries to figure out the situation, he's met with more odd things happening. The water is contaminated by a black substance, strobes begin appearing... A crossover of TheSunVanished by Theo.

Androidela - In the distant future, Earth is rendered uninhabitable so the survivors board a ship and set off to a new planet that is million of light years away, several galaxies away. Fearing that all the people won't live to get there, the crew decides to make androids to keep everyone on the ship company and keep some hope. Unfortunately, an incident happens that caused the ship to stall and for everyone to be stranded in space. With no way to get the ship going again, the passengers all begin to die one by one until the only living beings are the androids which are put out of commission.

Several hundred years later, Android #001 - Codename "Mark", wakes up and looks around the ship for any survivors, finding none. Soon, he discovers other androids that have booted up. With no humans left on the ship, how are they going to get to the new planet now?

Hemoptysis - Cesar comes back to life after being given a chance to change things by Gabriel. With every person he saves, he gets sicker and sicker. He coughs up blood, developing a severe case of anemia. It won't be long before he accomplishes what he is set out to do and passes on.

Forever Young (Immortal AU) - Mark and Cesar are frozen at the ages of 17 and 18. They aren't sure what happened, but it doesn't concern them too much. As the years go by, as the world changes around them, they don't.

Mandela of the Dead - Based off the Walking Dead TV show as well as other forms of zombie media. Thatcher Davis wakes up from a month long coma to discover that the world has collapsed to a zombie apocalypse. As he tries to find his partner Ruth and his friend, Dave, he discovers a group of survivors about high school age. As they go further, Thatcher notices that this group is skilled at fighting, but will it be enough to keep them alive?

Magicae puer (Magic AU) - For generations, families have been born with magical powers. Some have fire magic, water magic, the ability to see auras. In recent times, magic has become a taboo subject by many, being dismissed as something stage magicians do. The Flammias are a great example of a magic family. Coming from a Wiccan family, they were ostracized for not being like the citizens of Mandela. They weren't worshiping God, they weren't following the Lord's passages.

The Heathcliff family has been keeping a secret. They all have magic too. And it seems that their children, Mark and Sarah have inherited their powers. For Mark, it was the rarest form of magic. Healing. A type of magic that was thought to have gone extinct for good reason. The healer's lifespan gets cut every time they heal someone, resulting in the healer eventually dying.

One night, while at a sleepover, Cesar wishes on a shooting star for him to have magic like Mark. His wish eventually gets granted as he has the ability to see colored strings that signifies what type of relationship the person has. As they get older, things start to become more dangerous. People begin to notice their magic powers, shadow creatures start appearing and a looming threat about the end of the world begins to emerge.

Doki Doki Mandela Club - A high school sophomore joins a literature club to catch up with her two childhood friends, Mark and Cesar. She hopes that she'll make new friends in the club as well as strengthen her literary knowledge. As they prepare for the school festival, she notices peculiar things about her friends that she didn't know previously.

Days keep on repeating, their minds begin to erode... Why can't they achieve happiness? No matter what I do, it all comes to nothing. I can't stop it... I can't...

Basically, it's a mixture of DDLC and Higurashi with a little bit of Umineko. I won't just be using the base game. I will also be using the many mods that have been made about the game.

Cesar's Body (Jennifer's Body AU) - Cesar disappears after an accident at a concert. When he returns, something is off about him. Soon after, people start dropping dead. Now Mark has to figure out what's happening before more people die.

Purge Night in Mandela - Every year, the world hosts an annual event called the Purge. For twelve hours, all crime, including murder will be legal. Two stories unfold at the same time. A young boy tries to survive the purge along with his family. Two teens taking advantage of the Purge to commit petty crimes.

Reincarnation AU - In the year 2009, kids from Mandela county start to have dreams of a life they lived before. Bonds begin to form, danger looms around every corner, and friendships are tested.

Empty Dream - A tale of two friends who are reunited after Mark had to leave because of his father's new job. As they rekindle their friendship, family drama and people from their past threatens to tear the friends apart, possibly forever.

TMC x Regular Show - A silly AU where the TMC characters work at a park and they deal with shenanigans.

TMC x Corpse Party - A group of kids try a friendship charm one of them found online. Soon, they all get trapped in a haunted school and must find a way out before they join the many students who have died.

YES YES YES

okay so. obviously a ton of things change about the plot (goes without saying but theres. obviously none of the unnecessary stuff in there). because of this a lot of the roles kind of merge together and/or swap in some places? so i'll mention characters being in similar roles but they have a slightly different story

with that out of the way. here's the general ideas

ok so. adam kind of takes shinji's place as the protagonist. he comes to nerv, which is led by jude, and is asked to pilot the evangelion. UNLIKE shinji however he's immediately drawn to the evangelion. there's no resistance there he's just immediately attached to it. surely this has nothing to do with him being totally and absolutely human theres nothing to doubt there ^_^

of course . jude is not a very good father so it ends up being thatcher and ruth (note: worst platonic co-parents ever) that he stays with. no one there is good at being around other people it's really funny.

speaking of!! thatcher ruth and dave are all scientists at nerv (thatcher and dave kind of take misato and ritsuko's roles but not completely. i'll explain) but dave's the one working closest with the evangelions. he won't tell his friends anything. thatcher's suspicious but he's now dealing with having to handle adam, but ruth decides to go ahead and start investigating the truth on her own (spoiler: this does not end well LMAO)

sarah sort of takes asukas place but not entirely. sarah shows up and she just does not like adam immediately it's really funny. they talk once and she can't stand him. similar to asuka the evangelion was made for her but the more she starts getting in combat the more she realizes it's a very bad idea. she keeps trying to leave but it never goes well for her

evelin doesnt really take reis place but its similar enough. shes friends with dave and she just keeps ending up in situations. girl that eva keeps putting you in danger you need to get out of it. girl you cannot fight that angel it is going to attack you GIRL

jonah kind of takes suzuhara's place in that he gets chosen to pilot an evangelion and hes SUPER excited about it and then adam's evangelion goes berserk and tries to kill him. great times. also jonah keeps trying to be adams friend the whole time and adam just doesnt care enough. kids this days always in their damn mech suits

and then jude takes gendo's role to some extent. by that i mean he runs the place and also just isnt present in his son's life. for a few reasons ^_^

i haven't decided on the alternates yet i think they're either the angels (lmao) or seele. as for characters like mark and cesar maybe they appear in the classroom as more background characters. since i still want them in there

a lot of the plot isnt entirely solid but it loosely follows everything. also thatcher has some manner of Beast in his apartment i haven't decided what. it's there
