hey isn't it weird that in that future Mephy can't see the lady Malchidael summons power from Armumahel? Does this mean that the Shemihaza bloodline was erased in this future, because Shemihaza's bloodline was the one who was summoned to fight against Satan?

Hey Anon! Interesting question, but I don't think Sensei left any hint in ch139 and 140 implying that something happened to the Shemihaza Nephilims (Shiemi and her mom), aside from Paku saying that everyone besides Shima (and Rin) is "gone".

So maybe they're also gone, or maybe they managed to survive in that weird dystopian future ? That being said, the fact that the Order turned into an even crazier organization is also a hint that some high ranked members (read: the Uzai family) probably ended up seizing total control, meaning that something possibly happened to Shiemi and her mom. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

About Malchidael though...

I don't think it's that surprising that she uses power from summoning Armumahel against Rin because...

Yukio also used a similar power when the two brothers fought against each other. Therefore, I think that either Shemihaza's or Armumahel's powers work against Satan and Rin. ...Or so I say but that poor teenager didn't last long against Rin, who is the demon king in that future. x)

TBH I don't know how seriously we're supposed to take that glimpse in the future that we saw, aside from the fact that it's pretty sad and terrifying. Whatever Malchidael is supposed to be (a new experiment by the Order surely?), Rin defeated her quite quickly, so I don't think we'll delve into it any further. I could be wrong, though!

Yes, I know. I was there.

Allow me to explain. There are parts to that story that I did not tell you. The reason, my recordings of my short stories stopped where they did, is because I sat me down to write the missing pieces, and could not bring myself to do so. I have a heavy burden of guilt for my actions during that time. I was intent on having this man prove to the world what a monster he was so I exploited the mythology created by a conman. Unfortunately, this was the wrong thing to have done. I made the situation far worse and suffered at the time because of this poor decision. But by the time I realized I had some part in this catastrophe, it was too late for me to stop it. I had to carry it out to get it to stop.

I can tell you about anything you want to know about, but it is very difficult for me to address. I would be happy to try again at completing the story. I am not sure I can record it until I’ve processed how I feel.

I will see if I can attempt it this week, but I warn you that the story is somewhat triggering in many respects, including dealing with the magician. That specifically makes me feel very, how do the kids say these days? Skeeved out? Some such.

Guilles was a sick man surrounded by sick man. And I made it worse. It’s because of how that ended that I decided to never participate in any sort of vengeance again. And so for a long while, I did not use my abilities to aid humanity in any way. After that time, I eventually ended up in England . It was only then that I dipped a toe back in, because I believed that it would bring more peace. I was correct in that decision, and so after that maintained a kind of policy of distance. I only ever use my skills to build things, never to destroy them or tip a scale this way or that . Until I came to the wild West and people tried to kill me. It was my anger that drove me then, and capitalism made it possible for me to tip the scale in a way that was direct, but distant at once.

okay so i know we’re all having a collective “what the hell is going on” reaction about this chapter, but could it be that it’s all wtf because Mephisto noticing that Satan warped space and time is actually implying that we’re in one of the many possible timelines Mephisto constantly rewinded from? (not that he possible foreshadowed this one, since he was… digested? wahh idk)

This timeline is clearly one in which the Order became an even shadier organization (thanks for nothing Uzai family) who obviously took advantage of the situation (run Nori-chan, run)…

…and Rin ended up standing against them, raising his own army? 

idk but I feel like the sudden timeskip, Mephisto’s defeat and Shima becoming an idol (lol) are clues that we may at some point 1) visit other timelines and/or 2) have to rewind back to the battle two years ago, but I could be wrong. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m still processing all of it, but none of it was expected and I’m having a total blast, if I’m honest!!

La petite histoire des Deux Magots, café mythique de Saint-Germain

Depuis presque 140 ans dans le quartier de Saint-Germain-des-prés, les Deux Magots sont devenus une véritable institution ! Et on ressent forcément toujours une certaine émotion en s’installant à une table de cette brasserie historique…

Une clientèle mythique

Le café des Deux Magots ouvre en 1885, à la place d’un magasin dont il ne garde que deux figurines chinoises. Ces “Magots”, qui lui donnèrent leur nom, ornent toujours la salle principale. Très vite, des artistes de renom prennent alors l’habitude de s’y retrouver. Notamment Mallarmé, Rimbaud et Verlaine, rien que ça ! Plus tard, il deviendra aussi le QG d’Hemingway, Picasso, Prévert, des surréalistes comme André Breton et des existentialistes avec Simone de Beauvoir et Jean-Paul Sartre.
