Mikael Erlandsson needs no further introduction when it comes to melodic rock. He has released six successful solo albums and a lot of titles with groups like Phenomena, Salute among others. Between 2006-2018 Erlandsson fronted the Swedish super group Secret Service which he toured with live all over the world. Together with the fantastic guitar player Andy Malecek from Fair Warning he founded the band LAST AUTUMN’S DREAM in 2003 which also featured Ian Haugland, Mic Michaeli and John Leven of Europe fame at the time. The self-titled debut album was produced by Claes Andreasson and became a great success. LAST AUTUMN’S DREAM went on releasing another 14 albums with different line ups. I choose tracks: “Emergency”, “Evangeline”, “Love Is A Fighter”, “Never Say Die”, “Heaven Can Wait”, “Angel Of Danger”, “High On Love”, “Crowdpleaser” and “Don't Wanna”. Melodic Rock at its “Zenith”!!!

ZENO 1984.

This will be another Zeno post. The leader of ZENO, Fair Warning's predecessor band, is Zeno Roth, brother of Ulrich Roth, formerly of the Scorpions. (As you all know, of course.)

However, he did not call himself Zeno when the band was formed. Zeno's older brother, Uli, seems as if he is happy that his brother is on equal footing in the same world.

If we are going to talk about fair warning, we need to learn about ZENO and Sky Guitar. And also about Uli John Roth, the leader of ZENO and brother of Zeno Roth. I have a few interviews with him on hand, but if you are going to talk about his music, you need to listen to more of his music.

The image shows ZENO vocalist Michael Flexig, Fair Warning guitarist Helge Engelke, and vocalist Tommy Heart, who participated in the "Sky of Avalon" album released during this period.

FAIR WARNING〝Light In The Dark〟1996. Composition and Lyrics by Helge Engelke.

This is a single released in December 1996, just before the release of the album "Go."

After his second tour of Japan in 1995, guitarist Andy Malecek fell ill from an unknown cause.

Andy, who had been working on a number of ideas for his third album, regretted that he was unable to take part in most of the recording due to illness.

It must have been a difficult time for himself and the band. But despite the circumstances, they produced these great songs.

Thank you for bringing great music to the world.

1995年の2度目の来日公演後、ギタリストのアンディ・マレチェクが原因不明の病に倒れた。 サード・アルバムのためにさまざまなアイデアを練っていたアンディ、 レコーディングのほとんどに参加できなかったことを悔やんだ。

彼自身にとってもバンドにとっても辛い時期だったに違いない。 しかし、そのような状況にもかかわらず、彼らは素晴らしい楽曲を生み出した。

素晴らしい音楽を世に送り出してくれてありがとう。

FAIR WARNING Live In Japan 1993. “The Eyes Of Rock”

･･･My posts are out of chronological order😅💦

This CD contains a live performance from FAIR WARNING's first visit to Japan in 1993.

Their first tour of Japan began on April 14th in Osaka, followed by four shows in Nagoya and Kawasaki. During our first Tours to Osaka, Andy caught a cold and it spread to the other members one by one. Tommy and Ule were especially ill.

The video (DVD) is overdubbed, so it is hard to notice, but Tommy seemed to struggle to sing as well as he wanted during the two-day concert in Kawasaki.

But it seems like their first performance in Japan was a good memory for them.
